How To Fake 8 Hours Of Sleep - Duration: 5:56.

Hello Sunshines.

No, you haven't accidentally landed onto an ASMR channel.

I don't know.

Im just trying to be considerate because I know that I today is national hangover day.

Now I know a lot of you still have to try and function today, so im gona give you my

tips for looking like you've had a full 8 hours worth of sleep, even if that couldn't

be further from the truth.

Everyone will think your so responsible.

So after you grab your gatoraide the first thing your going to want to do is wash your

face in cool water.

This is gona help constrict blood vessels which will help reduce redness and swelling,

particularly around the eyes.

Then your going to want to pull out all the hydrating products.

All of them.

Tired skin is usually dull, dry skin.

So feel free to be generous with the moisturizer.

And products that contain caffeine or green tea are great for giving you skin a little

extra boost.

Ok next your gona want to use a depuffing gel.

I like Garnier's eye rollers, particularly the tinted kind, because it adds a little

extra brightening.

But if you don't have that type of thing on hand, you can just take two spoons, pop them

in the freezer for a few minutes until they're nice and cool, then take them out and gently

press them over your eyes to help reduce puffyness and inflamation.

Now your going to want to stay away from heavy powders and anything really matte that may

make your skin look dull.

So to fake a dewy, hydrated complexion go lightweight with luminizing products.

Im gona mix my Becca First Light Priming Filter with my Loreal Lumi Foundation to get a really

sheer luminous application.

Then im just gona add a little bit of coverage where needed with my nars Radient Creamy Concealer.

So there is definately a time and place for a full on smokey eye.

Today is not that day.

You want to start by curling your lashes which is gona help open up sleepy looking eyes.

Then your gona swipe a single, shimmery, nude eyeshadow along your lids to help even out

and brighten.

Im using Urban Decay shadow in shade Sin.

Then apply a little nude eyeliner along your water line to help your eyes look bigger and

more awake.

Then your just going to liberally apply some mascara to help open up your eyes.

Lastly a bold lip is a great way to look a lot more put together than you may feel right

now.

So pop on a hydrating bold lip, I really like Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss in Carnival.

Alright, now that you at least look the part your as ready as you'll ever be to take on

the day.

Strength And Conditioning Workout For Beginners | Be A Stronger And Faster Triathlete - Duration: 6:57.

- Strength and conditioning exercises are a great

addition to your swimming, cycling, and running training.

And it's certainly becoming more popular amongst the pros.

But I can hear you shouting at me, time.

How on earth do I fit anything else

into an already jampacked schedule?

Well I'm afraid I don't have the magic answer.

But I do have some very good reasons

as to why you might want to start

making regular trips to your gym.

(upbeat music)

A little fierce, you will get stronger.

Which translates to being more powerful.

And therefore faster.

And it'll also make you more efficient.

But you can see your gym as prehab.

So you can work on your weaker areas.

Preventing yourself from getting injured.

And therefore, saving a bit of time in the long run.

But you might be worried that going

to the gym will make you too big and muscly

to be a triathlete, and it's purely for cyclists.

But it's not actually.

You'll see professional swimmers

and runners in the gym just as much as you will cyclists.

So, if you are new to strength and conditioning,

we've put together a basic plan to help get you started.

That you can adapt to suit yourself.

A simple exercise to start with is the back squat.

So the bar will be across your shoulders.

But, before you get to the bar, you just check you've

got the right movement for the squat.

So, start with your feet a little

bit wider than your shoulders.

Just slightly.

Either facing forwards, or slightly facing outwards.

And then from there, you're going

to bend at the hips and the knees.

Squatting down as far as you can comfortably go.

And then back up again.

Trying to keep your back nice and straight.

It'll be really important when you've got the bar on.

If you've got a mirror, just check your form in the mirror.

Do a few of these to make sure you're nice and warmed up.

And then when you are warmed up,

it's time to get to the bar.

And if you're new to it, then start

with the lightest bar you can find.

Without any weights on.

And you're just gonna do a few simple squats with that.

So, make sure it's the right height.

That you can duck under it

and take the weight on your shoulders.

Also then, you can get rid of the bar

quickly if you find it too heavy.

And just walk back into these.

So, this is already setup with the right height for me.

I'm gonna duck under.

And I take the weight just across the top of my shoulders.

Find a nice comfortable hand position.

So your hands are gonna support

the weight for your shoulders, take most of it.

And then stand up.

Step backwards away from the rack.

And find the right position.

So once you're comfortable in that position,

you're just gonna repeat the movement you did earlier.

Squatting down.

Facing forwards.

And driving back up 'til your legs

are fully straight and extended.

(upbeat workout music)

If you're finding this easy, or you're happy

with it, go to a heavier bar.

And then you can start to add on some weights.

(industrial music)

This is an upper-body exercise.

It's the lat pulldown.

So, as it sounds, it's gonna

work your lat muscles down here.

And it's perfect for swimming.

So you wanna find a bar similar to this.

And if you've got one that's on cables,

make sure you've got the weight the same on either side.

And to start with, have a really light weight.

'Cause you're gonna use it to

warmup and go through the motion.

You want to have your hands just wider than your shoulders.

From this position you want to have your

arms fully extended above your head.

And if you need to, you can have very slight lean back.

'Cause the bar is gonna come down in front of your face.

And you don't want to be catching your nose or your chin.

So from here, engage the core.

Set your shoulders.

And then you're going to pull downwards.

And imagine you're pulling you shoulder blades back and in.

And then back up to full extension for each movement.

(upbeat workout music)

Well this one's as it says, on the tin.

It's basically a backwards lunge.

So, it can be working your quads and your gluts.

But you might find if you've got really tight hip flexes

you'll get a bit of a stretch as well.

So, to start with, we're gonna do it without any weights.

Concentrating on good forms.

The start, facing forwards.

Taking a step back on your right leg.

Leaving your hips level as you do.

So into that lunge position.

Down.

Back up to the front.

And then down with the other side.

Making sure these hips stay level.

Don't want any dropping or twisting.

So all facing forwards.

And then, once you've got the right motion,

it's time to pick up some dumbbells.

(upbeat workout music)

Well, the the dumbbell bench press is as it sounds.

You're lying on a bench using dumbbells.

And I personally prefer dumbbells over a bar.

As it just gets a lot more of your shoulder muscles engaged.

And firing.

Which is perfect for swimming.

So, find a weight that you think you'll be comfortable with.

Sitting on the end of the bench.

You're then going to roll back.

So you're lying down.

And getting your hands above your shoulders.

Starting with your hands up high.

You want them above your shoulders.

Not right in front of your face.

So, with these dumbbells, I can't actually

bring them too close together anyway.

Once you've got this position

try and squeeze your shoulder blades together.

As that really engages everything.

And makes your shoulders nice and stable.

So, from here, you're gonna bend the elbows.

Bringing the dumbbells down towards your pecks.

And then pushing straight back up.

The ideas is to keep the movement as smooth as you can.

And I don't wanna see any banging.

The dumbbells don't need to bang together at the top.

It's purely about a motion of going up and down.

Keeping those shoulder blades squeezed.

(industrial music)

This exercise is actually a bit harder than it looks.

And that is, a slight disclaimer on my part.

'Cause I do find it a little bit difficult.

But it will work your hamstrings and your gluts.

But it also really get your core firing.

'Cause anything using this Swiss ball

just gets those muscles really working.

So, you're gonna start by lying on your back on the ground.

With your heels on top of the ball.

And from that position, you're gonna lift your hips up.

So it's just your shoulders and your upper back

that's resting on the ground.

So hips nice and stable.

And from there, you're gonna use your heels

to pull the ball towards you by bending your knees.

Keeping your hips off the ground.

And then extending your legs

again so you push the ball away.

If you do find it easy or you're ready to progress it

to the next level, if you've had your hands on the ground

next to you, you can take your hands off

and pop them across your chest.

These are some basic exercises to get you started.

But remember to adapt them to suit what your body needs.

And don't get hung up on the numbers.

Form is the most important part.

So once you're doing the exercises properly,

you can then start to add in the weight.

How to Connect Lifx Bulb to Amazon Echo Spot – Lifx Amazon Echo Alexa Integration Light Control - Duration: 3:11.

The great thing about Lifx Smart Bulbs is that they can be voice controlled by the Amazon

Echo.

And in this video I'll show you how to connect a Lifx bulb to the Echo Spot.

Before starting, I'm assuming your bulb has been set up and claimed in the Lifx app and

your Amazon Echo is all set up on your Wifi network.

Now launch the Amazon Alexa app and tap on the menu button at the top left of the screen.

Tap on the Skills button where we will search for Lifx.

In the list, tap on Lifx Optimized for Smart Home.

Now enable the skill so that Alexa has access to Lifx commands.

Here you'll have to link your Lifx account with the Alexa app.

You'll need your Lifx email address and password to sign into your account.

Confirm by tapping Authorize.

Now tap the X at the top of the screen and then tap on discover devices.

This will allow the app to find your Lifx bulb on your WiFi network.

So go back into the Alexa app menu and tap on Smart Home.

And in order for the Echo to control your lights, you'll need to create a Group that

includes the Lifx devices you want Alexa to control.

Here tap on Groups and then on Create Group.

Type in a name for this group of lights.

I'll call mine Bedroom.

Here I can add one or more Lifx bulbs to this group before saving my settings.

Now my Echo Spot is ready to take control of my lights.

Alexa, bedroom light on.

Ok.

Alexa, bedroom light red.

Ok.

Alexa, bedroom light 100%.

Ok.

Alexa, bedroom light green.

Ok.

So this is a really cool way to control your Lifx bulbs using voice commands.

I only have one bulb right now but I'd really like to replace all 8 of my media room bulbs

with Lifx and have full Alexa control with them someday.

And to add more bulbs or groups, just repeat the steps in this video.

Alexa, change bedroom light to purple.

Best Tech Under $50 - January 2018 - Top Tech | A NEW YEAR!!! - Duration: 7:26.

Hey it's Bey, and today I'm back with another Best Tech video. This time

I'm gonna be showing you guys some awesome tech for under $50. Make sure to check out my previous best tech videos.

I'll put some links in the description.

I will also have the links to all the products that I mentioned in this video in the description,

so make sure you check that out as well.

First up, we got the Nomad 1.5 Meter Universal Cable.

It's called the universal cable because it's basically three cables in one.

The main adapter plug is Micro-USB and along with ot you have a Lightning Adapter and a USB-C Adapter.

This cable supports fast charging, which is great and it is MFi certified.

I really like this cable because you get the convenience of having three cables in one, which means that you can pretty much charge any modern

piece of tech that's out these days. I also really like the 1.5 meter length.

It's longer than your standard charging cable which makes it really convenient.

To organize your cable, you get a vulcanized silicone cable tie which is really cool.

This cable is really tough, because it survived Nomad's bend test where this cable was flexed over 10,000 times.

The universal cable's outer layer is made out of ballistic nylon and the connectors are made out of metal. This cable

just screams quality and toughness and it will definitely last a long time.

The Nomad 1.5 meter Universal Cable does come with a lifetime warranty just in case though.

If you're looking for a power bank to use your Nomad Universal Cable with, the Anker PowerCore+

10,050 is a great option in my opinion.

I've had this power bank for over a year now, and it has held up very well.

This power bank is pretty small in comparison to other 10,000 milliamp hour power banks.

It has great build quality and it supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 which is just amazing.

However, the model

I have here is the Quick Charge 2.0 version.

It comes with its own fairly long micro USB cable to charge the power bank and your devices.

It also comes with a nifty carrying pouch to hold your power bank which is a nice touch.

The build quality of this whole package is amazing and the outside of the power bank is made out of

aluminum alloy. On the power bank itself, you have a button with ten battery indicator lights and a single USB output.

The single USB output is the only downside that this power bank has in my opinion, but it isn't a deal-breaker.

The third product we have in this video is a pair of true wireless earbuds from the company Cobble Pro.

These earphones are truly amazing for the price, and they currently come in either black or white.

Along with these earphones you get a MicroiUSB cable for charging, an

extra pair of ear tips, and the case which also acts as the charging base.

There is only one button on each of the earbuds that you will use to control your calls, music, etc.

You can get up to three and a half hours of listening time with these earphones which is alright,

but you can get up to 26 hours with the charging base

thanks to it's 1300 milliamp hour built-in battery. These earphones fit great in my ear

and they don't fall out very often when I run or jog.

They're also sweat proof so that you don't have to worry about getting a little bit of moisture on them.

The sound quality of these earphones are amazing especially at this price point, and these things blew me away when they first listened to them.

The mids and highs sound very clear and the base is very punchy.

You can get even better sound quality if you use an equalizer in my opinion.

To complement the great sound quality, the Cobble Pro True Wireless earbuds have pretty good noise isolation.

These earphones use Bluetooth 4.1 and have a 30 feet range.

Once you go truly wireless, it's going to be hard to go back.

I feel looking for a great value pair of true wireless earbuds. I highly recommend these ones from Cobble Pro.

However if you're still a person that can't move away from the 3.5mm

headphone jack yet like me, this next product is for you.

This is the Base Audio G8 and they're a pair of 3.5mm headphones that I backed on Kickstarter a while back.

They're a great sounding pair of earphones for the price.

These earphones can easily rival other earphones that cost at least three times as much in my opinion.

The G8's comes with a hardcover carrying case to protect the earphones which just adds to the value.

You also get a little clip that you can use to clip them to your clothes. The G8's has a flat cable

which is tangle resistant, an L-shaped 3.5mm jack, and an aluminum closure that protects the huge 9mm drivers.

These drivers help reduce the great sound and premium bass reproduction. The mids and highs are really clear,

but the bass really blew me away.

These earphones are super bass heavy and it's insane.

The bass is super deep punchy and literally head rattling the noise isolation is really good as well.

I think that these are the best earphones for under fifty bucks, and you should definitely pick these up.

Next is an amazing wallet that looks super cool and unique in my opinion.

This is the Axis from Trayvax. The one I have here is in the Royal Purple Cerakote color.

It doesn't look like a traditional wallet, but that's not a bad thing at all.

The Axis Wallet is made in the USA and it can hold up to 14 cards and 8 bills.

The locking mechanism is pretty simple, but it'll hold your wallet closed very securely. Your cards go in this slot

and it is adjustable to fit the cards you need. To access your cards, all you need to do is unlock the locking mechanism,

swipe the cards up to fan them out. and then pick the card you want to use. On the back,

there is a money clip that can hold bills that are folded twice.

There is a cool little hidden pocket that you can use to hold a key or some spare change which is pretty awesome.

Towards the bottom of the wallet,

there is a paracord and you can use that to clip your wallet on to your belt loop, bag, etc.

The paracord also makes it easy to take the access out of your pocket. It's a very unique and great looking wallet

that can hold the essentials and it comes in many different colors.

Last but not least, we have the F-stop watch. The F-stop watch is an awesome product for all you photographers out there.

As you can see in the watch, face you basically tell time by aperture. Is it practical?

No, not really, But it sure is pretty cool.

You can tell someone that you have a meeting at f/11, or have to do something at f/2.8.

You can't really tell time accurately with this watch, but it's accurate enough in my opinion to get to general time.

This watch has a 33 millimeter diameter face

which is pretty small, and this is a pretty small watch.

If you have a large wrist I would, skip this watch because there is a chance that it might not fit on you.

Anyways, it has leather straps, a Japanese quartz movement, and it comes in a tin box which is pretty cool.

The tin box also doubles as a display case when you're not using your watch.

It doesn't have any sort of waterproof or water resistance, so I would keep this watch away from water.

Again, it isn't the most practical watch, but you can use it to tell the general time,

and it just looks super cool in my opinion.
