Breaking News - England fans go crazy on Twitter after stunning display against Panama - Duration: 4:32.

England simply blew Panama away on Sunday and had the game won after the first 45 minutes with Gareth Southgate's men striking five times

It was a complete contrast to their World Cup opener against Tunisia last week, which was won by a Harry Kane header in the dying moments

England supporters were in great voice in the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium as Southgate's men eased to victory but on Twitter, the result and performance was whipping up a frenzy

Floods of 'It's coming home' posts filled news feeds on Twitter with one fan jokingly claiming he was getting it 'tattooed' on his forehead right now

Another supporter wrote: 'If you think that 5-0 against Panama at half time means England are guaranteed to win the World Cup

YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. IT'S COMING HOME.' Some were much more conservative and insisted England should not get carried away just yet as Panama were clearly only modest opposition

One fan said he had to try and calm his daughter down at half-time and explain that England will have to face better opposition as they progress through the tournament

He wrote on Twitter: 'Forced to tell my seven-year-old that England will have to play teams better than Panama and that she shouldn't get used to this

She's having a chocolate biscuit per goal so things are already getting out of hand

' Yet, most were singing England's praises and predicting Southgate's men to go all the way in Russia

Another fan said: 'England are beating Panama, admittedly not a good team, and if you think we're going to win the World Cup then you're absolutely right

' John Stones had a first half to remember by scoring two headers, which led to many tipping him to win the Golden Boot Award

England fans were also quick to point out that the defender now has more goals at this World Cup than both Neymar and Lionel Messi

Although England were superb in the first 45 minutes, Panama were also ultimately the creators of their own demise

They gave away two penalties - which Kane emphatically dispatched - for being too physical in the box

The second one was given for two Panama players grappling Kane and Stones in the area and some England fans hilariously compared their defending to WWE's Royal Rumble
