hey guys it's melissa here from little kosher lunch and New Year's Eve is just
around the corner so it got me thinking about what we are going to be having for
this New Year's Eve and I wanted to take the chance to share that with you as
well as a few other ideas from menus past I have done a blog post about this
I'm going to link it up for you about finger foods and cocktail party type
foods that I like to serve for my young family since going out is really never
in the cards for us for New Year's Eve what I like to do is I like to do all
different kinds of finger foods for our dinner on New Year's Eve I try to make
the house look really nice and kind of romantic atmosphere for us and the girls
and they really really love this I think that kids generally love tiny foods and
finger foods it gives them the chance to be picky and pick and choose so this
year I am going back to a few ideas that I've done in the past one is mushroom
caps I like to do mine just with crumbs chopped garlic and minced parsley you
can also do these low-carb style by doing mushroom caps with ground meat
sort of like a meatball they fix great in advance and then I warm them the night
of in the toaster oven I have some green veggies that I'm just gonna prep
and have in the house because I'm trying to eat a little bit healthier and then
from tonight's leftovers I have sauteed mushrooms and squash I'm gonna be fixing
those as little like crustless quiches or egg puffs in a muffin tin some other
ideas deviled eggs we love doing sushi in our house we are probably gonna do
more of those little Tostitos chips cups I like to give my children the options
to make their own but you can also make beautiful pre-made ones on a platter
with guacamole and a cherry or grape tomato it is vegan gluten free
kid-friendly so I highly recommend those other things to consider might already
be in your freezer tiny frozen latkes and little frozen appetizers like potato
knishes, pigs-in-a-blanket, miniature egg rolls with duck sauce, my family adores
any kind of meat on a stick so you might consider a chicken satay skewer we love
doing chicken wings the oven it don't do them really
frequently but my kids love a sticky sweet chicken wing tiny meatballs are
always a hit in my house or little miniature burgers done as sliders
whatever you choose to do I hope you have a fabulous New Year's I have lots
to learn so I would love to hear from you about what menu choices you've made
what New Year's plans you have whatever it is I am all ears and I'd love to hear
from you down below thank you so much if you liked these kinds of videos please
give it a thumbs up hit subscribe and please feel free to share this video
with a friend I am new to YouTube I've just hit my one-year anniversary so I'm
so happy to have come this far but I would love to grow and get the word out
to other mommies and cooks in the household who are looking for fresh
ideas for their family thank you so much for all your love and support and thank
you for watching all the way to the end I will see you in the New Year bye bye
