Youtube daily report Feb 4 2018

It seems the winter is over in Chisinau

It's +10 degrees outside, sunny, no snow left and warm

The window is wide open. Weather went crazy

Though i know what's gonna be next - in April the snow will fall and we will have cataclysm, like it was last year.

There will be tons of snow and we will be sledding

Right now we simply have no winter

Okay folks, it's time to start the review

We have the RTA as the guest

Let's roll...Intro

Yohoho! Hello everyone! Alex from VapersMD is here

And i'm glad to welcome you on my channel

Our guest for today is Zesthia RTA by Asmodus

ThtThtBrbhrth

I dont know how to pronounce this correctly - leave a comment

This RTA is made for single coil. It have bottom airflow, top fill,

V principe

Classics.

It have some features tho

Let's dive down and disassemble, assemble, put the build in it and then talk about its pros and cons

Let's roll

Okay folks, it's time to unbox this package

This package is like Korobochka Burenochka

On the top it have color mark

Through the plastic window we can see the RTA itself

The name of the RTA and the For Professional Use Only writing

Around the sides we have logos, certificates, barcode

On the rear we have specs, kit content and warnings

Under the cover we have the RTA itself, spare glass, hex screw, and bag with spares

Inside that bag we have spare o-rings and spare screws

Also we have familiar fused claptons made by Oni Coils

One was being used already, second we will use today

On the bottom we have User Manual

Now it's time to talk about specs

This RTA is made of SS and available in 4 colors - SS, Black, Gold and Blue

It have 810 drip tip with o-ring, top fill, single coil only

Bottom adjustable airflow

And 4.5ml capacity

The diameter is 24mm

Now it's time for detailed overview

And we start with drip tip which is made of delrin

As you can see this drip tip have 2 o-rings and narrow shaft

Inner part of this drip tip is cone-shaped

Sadly standard 810 drip tips wont fit, as you can see they aren't holding inside

Because inside we don't have specific o-ring to hold non-o-rings 810 drip tips

In any case you have to use that one or search some 810 with o-rings

Moving forward. Next part is top cap. It is for top fill

It unscrews counter clockwise

I think you noticed that top cap doesn't have any cuts or knurling on it for convenience

That's complicate unscrewing it from time to time

Top cap gives us access to two big fill slots

And screws on that shaft section

Why this is shaft section i will show you later

Don't forget - when you screw down the top cap it will create pressure and juice will go into chamber section, so wicking is matters

Moving forward. Second part of top cap, the chimney and the glass

Which is altogether unscrews from the deck

You can disassemble this part - it also unscrews counter clockwise

Top cap is holding glass

This way the chimney look like

Two big juice flow slots

And it's a little bit spherical inside the chamber

When you assemble it you should be very careful - the most vital thing is not to overtighten this top cap

Otherwise you will break your glass

Anyway you have to tighten it, so when you unscrew this part top cap won't unscrew as well

Otherwise you remaining liquid will leak on you and could mess you wardrobe

Now it's time to talk about the deck

This deck have 2 post design, bottom airflow and wick slots

The posts themselves have 2 slots for coil legs

No matter if you right or left-handed - it's convenient in both ways

In this case doesn't matter which side you wrap your coil - clockwise or counter clockwise

As i showed you before we have 2 airflow slot and they are angled

Also here we have wick slots which is also for juice getting to your cotton

This device utilizes gold-plated hex screws which will be holding your coils

Getting lower and here we have airflow adjustment ring and it's removable

It's held by single o-ring and have stopping mechanism

With that ring you will be able to adjust your airflow on both sides at the same time

On the bottom we have pin that is holding positive post

Also it have Asmodus engraving and that RTA name

By the way - this pin isn't very protruding, so be aware

Okay folks, it's time to assemble this RTA, put the coil and the cotton and fill it

So we can see how it works

Let's roll

Okay friends, we're set and ready for the face-time

Thanks for your attention in close up

Let's test it out and speak of its pros and cons

As you can see there is a vapor, there is a flavor. And it's good.

Sdelal krasivo

Cheten'ko

Overall this is average RTA

I love this word - SREDNESTTCHSKY

Overall folks, this is average RTA with familiar coil installation, wicking

There is no innovations, no new ideas. We saw it many times before

But Asmodus never had RTA's like this before, especially with coil installation like that

Anyway this RTA have decent flavor and performance and it's easy to use

ANYWAY, i found some cons and right now let's talk about it

First con i'll give for non-standard 810 drip tips slot.

This slot is not fitting standard 810 drip tips

Standard 810 drip tips as you know have no o-rings

In here they made slot for 810 with o-rings and because of that many of my favorite 810 drip tips simply wont fit in here

Also i want to mention that this kit is not include 510 drip tips adapter

I can tell it's required for this tank, since it's single coil. So 510 if suits good for this tank and this adapter should've been in the kit

Another thing i want to discuss is that top cap. As you saw in close up it's disassembles into two parts

It disassemble like everything else - unscrews counter clockwise, screws back clockwise

In this situation if you wont tighten this top cap and you will try to get access to your coils this top cap can suddenly unscrew

It will release the glass its holding so all the liquid in the tank will leak on you. Of course if you have it inside.

So i recommend to tighten the top cap and the chimney together

BUT don't overtighten - since it have some free threads you can brake your glass

Nitpicking

I have only one nitpick and it's top cap

Since it have no cuts or knurling for convenient grip the refilling is complicated.

In case you have wet hands this top cap will scroll in your hands. Sometimes it's very hard to get a grip and unscrew it

So it's a nitpick for complicated refill

Now pros

First pro to this RTA goes for convenient wicking and coil installation

Very fast and easy. I like it.

Next pro i'll give this RTA for vapor production and flavor

Thanks to bottom airflow - the flavor is decent. Pro for that

And last pro goes for capacity of 4.5ml

This capacity is enough and it's good.

And now it's time to talk about price tag

On official site it cost 40$

And it's normal for Asmodus

I think if it's go on external market and to other online stores the price will go lower down to 35$

I think that optimal price for that RTA is 30$ to 35$

40$ is a bit too much. 30$ is fine

Okay folks, that's basically it.

Overall this is good RTA, it's convenient and it gives good flavor

And it's looks good

I want to say big thanks to Asmodus for sending me this devices for this review

I wanna thank you for your attention

The Eisenhower Matrix - aka The Time Management Matrix - Duration: 7:39.

The Eisenhower Matrix

aka The Time Management Matrix

It has the power to change your day…

your week.

It could even change your life.

Hi this is Gary

Welcome to Development That Pays.

And welcome back to The Eisenhower Matrix.

Part Two

If you missed Part 1, it's a matter of great urgency AND importance

that you watch it right now.

This link….. will take you right to it,

and deliver you auto-magically back to this very point.

ORTHOGONAL

The dictionary definition is….

"of or involving right angles; at right angles."

But it has a related meaning:

When two things are independent, they are considered to be othogonal.

When it comes to a 2 x 2 matrices,

A 2x2 matrix is orthogonal

in the sense that the axes are at right angles.

But the factors that the two axes represent

are not necessarily orthogonal.

The matrixes that we started with last time were a mixture.

For food we had healthy and delicious

The two are independent

For a partner: intelligent and attractive

Again, independent

What about a car?

Performance and Price

Performance tends to come at a price

The two are not independent:

The two are not… orthogonal

What about today's main event, The Eisenhower Matrix?

Actually, it does pass the orthoganality test

The two axes are independent

If I tell you that a task is important, I've told you nothing about its urgency.

And if I tell you a task is urgent, I've told you nothing about its importance.

Urgent and important are orthogonal.

BUT I'm getting ahead of myself.

One or two of you mentioned that the Eisenhower Matrix

reminded you of Stephen Covey's Time Management Matrix.

There's a good reason for that:

They're one and the same!

Covey gave the quadrants numbers,

So let's pop them in.

Quadrant 4: Not urgent, not important.

Back in my day the classic example would be watching too much TV.

The modern equivalent is surfing the web, or checking Facebook or Instagram or Snapchat

every two minutes.

Activities we'd be wise to avoid.

We're going end up with 4 "D"s

So I'm going to swap "Avoid" for "DUMP"

Quadrant 3: - Urgent and NOT important

These are distractions and interruptions.

Such as phone calls.

These are things that we should DELEGATE!

Which leaves us with the two quadrants we focused on last time

Quadrant 1: Urgent AND Important

The boat is sinking.

You gotta bail and you gotta bail now!

The "D" here is "DO FIRST"

And finally.

Quadrant 2: Important and NOT urgent.

In our boat, it was the act of diving down to attempt to repair the hole.

The act that - eventually - saved the day.

"Dump", "Delegate", "Do first"

What exciting "D word" will we find behind this powerful quadrant?

Ready.

Steady.

"D" is for

DECIDE!

Decide?

Really? is that it?

Yep. that's it.

"Decide" when to do it.

In other words "Schedule it".

To me, this hardly does it justice.

Perhaps now you see why I dragged you off to the middle of the ocean.

Rather than just going through the quadrants one at a time.

Tthe words "Decide" and "Schedule" do little the impart the

IMPORTANCE of this quadrant.

Remember our little chat about the orthogonal nature of theses axes?

The axes may be independent.

But the quadrants are not.

In any day… in any week… in any year

You have a fixed amount of time

And your degree of success will depend largely

on how you divide your time between these four quadrants.

Can we agree that it would be beneficial for you to spend

as much of your time as possible on the IMPORTANT

No problem:

stop doing - DUMP - the not urgent and not important

And find a way to delegate urgent and not important

That's a great start: you've maximised quadrants one and two.

But you're not there yet.

If you're like most people, you'll find the "urgent" will overshadow the "important

and not urgent".

If you think about it, that's not surprising.

Quadrant 2 items require planning and scheduling.

Where as Quandrant 1 items turn up all by themselves!

At the most inopportune moments.

Like hitting something in the middle of the ocean that punches a hole in the boat.

I like the boat thing as a mental model, because it carries an important message:

The secret to reducing the size of this quadrant 1 often lies in quadrant 2.

But there's something about the boat mental model that isn't perfect.

The hole in the boat was … unavoidable.

And it's true: Quadrant 1 items often are unavoidable.

Like when the school calls to tell you that your child is ill

and you need to rush out of the office to go and collect her.

But that isn't true of all quadrant one activities.

For example:

If your website goes down - and it's all hands of deck to get it back up again.

Was that preventable?

Maybe not.

But is there anything you could in place to make it less likely to happen again?

Perhaps some tests… or more monitoring?

Just like with the boat, the cure for the URGENCY of Quadrant 1

In the PLANNED activity of Quadrant 2.

So I'm curious.

What are the things urgent, annoying, distracting Quadrant 1 things

that conspire to fill up your day and rob you of time?

And what's the one Quadrant 2 thing that you could do to reduce it?

Let me know in the comments below.

#12 // Family on the road // What to do when your vehicle breaks down ? // Raised on the Road - Duration: 9:31.

Hi everyone, we are in Cochabamba. So the name made us dream, it made us

think a little bit of Brazil but not at all .. We start climbing again in the Andes, we

are at 2500m above sea level and it has been raining for 2 days.

We will show you the tent because we have a lot of questions about our well-being in

the tent. The tent is dry, it's great ! Come and see !

So we are dry, if I touch it's not even wet! It was one of

the big questions we were asking ourselves before leaving and for we are really

delighted ! The tent keeps us dry even if it has been raining non stop for 2 days. Nothing

is wet.

So we wanted to show you how we sleep in the tent.

Here Clem and I sleep, Rose is sleeping here and Martin on this side.

It's rather cozy, we left with these they keep us very warm, we have

never been cold, especially since we sleep all 4 and that the tent is well

isolated. It's not bad when you sleep at 5000m above sea level or in Patagonia but

this morning I woke up telling myself I really missed a real blanket..

so I think we'll buy one, a big blanket for everyone.

We plan to make a new video presentation of the Defender a little more

complete than the first one we made before leaving France. So we will make you a

complete tour of our vehicle soon.

We can not spend the day here so we found a campsite with a

shared livingroom, a kitchen, WIFI, it is pretty cool good ! let's show you around !

So this is the room we're talking about, it is very convenient when

wheater is like this! We can sit and hang out everywhere.

WIFI works great, the best we have had since the beginning of Bolivia,

there is a piano, a billiards, books, children who

can watch TV.

Hello friends! Look we have sweaters of Lama, it's very hot and it's very

softt !

We are ready, we are dry and comfy

so we wanted to explain a little bit what we have done since we had this breakdown

near Santa Cruz. So we found ourselves stuck in the

jungle. Due to heavy rain the roads were closed and to come out of the

jungle we had to take paths that were really bad!

And we had a break on the Defender

We couldn't move forwards anymore.

What do we do when can't drive anymore ?

We find a nice campground !

At Land Rover we were charged $ 1200 and we had to wait 35 days because the

part was imported from England. At that moment we were able thanks to you

all to find French travelers, traveling to Santa Cruz, they brought us our part !

It went really well at the airport. Perfect timing .. It was perfect,

it was amazing ..

So Clem put it all together!

Today everyone is sick. It is called turista, I resisted ..

So I work alone today ..

You did drained the car..

I drained the engine ..

You mus see Clem doing the drain!

Everything okay Clem? You put yourself everywhere! It depends what you call everywhere!

Your towel is dead .. And your arm too!

My keys and everything!

The towel is gone in the trash! The grass was in a state .. everything was black..It

spent at least an hour .. It was a beautiful garden so I

cleaned with washing up liquid, water, water, water ..

It was very hard to leave .. The day or we had to leave it was raining a bit,

we said, we stay? We do not stay ?

We managed to get from Sergio's house to go to Samaipata!

Welcome to Samaipata kids! They did not eat a lot of bad

meat, they were not fat, they were small.

There were many different peoples. They walked all day, they ate

a lot of lama.

We will discover the Inca remains.

Today we wanted to bring you to see pre-Inca relics, we do not have

chosen the right day, there is rain, fog, so at every point of view we

do not see much!

Do you like visiting Rose? It's interesting ?

? It looks so, it looks!

We had a good time! It rained, I am soaked as if I had jumped into a

cascade.

I loved the Incas, they are strong!

We had not really chosen the right day ! There was a fog .. We could not see

nothing at every point of view. We could not see than 2 or 3 meters. But hey, we took

a guide and it was great fun! Yes it was really good and then

it costs only 10 - 12 € a private guide during the whole visit!

It's a shame to deprive oneself of it because without we would have found that much less interesting

! We stayed a few days in Samaipata

and then we went back to Cochabamba.

We are in a place called forest clouds, we do not see anything ..

There was 250km? Yes I believe 250km. We did it over 2 days and we had to put 8

hours, so 4h then 4h. With a lot of mud, lots of clouds, lots of fog,

you do not see it at 2 meters, we were on average between 1800m and 3600m altitude.

We saw mudslides, pebbles who were falling in front of us, behind us,

from everywhere .. It was quite trying ..

You saw well .. we will have to cross

it..

We are soon finished traveling to Bolivia, now we will go to Lake Titicaca

! Titicaca ... It's funny Titicaca .. I loved seeing llamas, the Salar of

Uyuni .. I loved camping! See you soon for Lake Titicaca!

See you soon for the lake titicaca kids !

Jill is also very interested in buying hats Peruvians for ...

Raspberry Pi : Remote control of an automatic stove with NadHAT episode 3/6 (subtitled) - Duration: 13:51.

Hello, my name is Frédéric Pierson I will introduce you today,

the third episode of the automated electronic stove controlled by SMS,

with the NadHAT board associated with the Raspberry pi zero W board and the Pimoroni automation pHAT board.

We will do a manipulation on bench.

With in the video window the different elements that will serve us to make this demonstration.

- an autonomous PowerBank type power supply,

- a small display that allows viewing

the voltage and current consumed by the device.

Now I have a voltage that is 5.09V,

A current that is zero since in fact nothing consumes here.

This is the stand of the Nadhat case with the Pimoroni automation pHAT board

I work for a long time on a small enclosure, 3d printed, very flexible ...

which allows to realize a mezzanine of boards in pHAT format.

Especially for the project of stove controlled by SMS.

There are different fixing possibilities,

I will not reveal to you now all the tricks of this case.

I just took the base to get a card holder ...

to present you this video.

The housing stand, in standard version,

is equipped with two small magnets,

of neodymium type which each draw 25 newtons (2.5 Kg).

There are removable and there are other modes of fixation

I chose a metal tube as a support,

a hanging closet rod,

but any other metal surface is suitable.

This tube is oblong ...

the attraction is strong ..

and the rounded shape allow to orient the housing.

We will start wiring the pHAT automation input / output board.

I have already done the installation of the spacers with the nuts.

In replacement of the dry contact of the stove I realized a small simulator:

a 9V battery, a resistance, a big red led.

When the two wires are loosened, the indicator lights up.

We will only use the relay of the pHAT automation board,

but this card offers other possibilities (12-bit ADC, inputs, outputs).

It is a relay 2SPDT put in parallel : three terminals ...

- position 1 starting from the left the normally open contact

- position 3 the normally closed contact

- and between position 2 the travelling contact.

We will wire contacts 2 and 3,

starting from the left to have an open contact at rest, GPIO at 0 or without power,

and that will close under power by setting a GPIO26 to a 1.

I'm going to wire the two wires on the small screw terminal, very easily ...

WARNING, I formally advise against using this card to switch a voltage

greater than 24 volts (no mains voltage).

Current side, the relay is type 2RT and each circuit supports,

according to the relay manufacturer's data, 1 amp resistive load.

The designer of the automation board has screen printed a current of 2 amps maximum,

but watch out for a relay or a connector,

the paralleling of the two contacts does not share the current in the same way.

The resistance of a contact to the other contact is never the same.

Be careful, for my part I would say that it is reasonable to stay around 1 ampere ...

but not a lot more.

Then, the Raspberry pi zero card, with its hermaphrodite connector.

Compared to episode 2, I changed things a little

to have a modular and practical enclosure for new expansion cards ...

I already soldered the connector on the Raspberry Pi zero card,

it is a hermaphrodite connector for mezzanine, similar to the PC104,

a 40 ways connector with legs 11 mm long.

We see that I put the pin part up side components,

and the female contact part at the bottom side solder.

The welding is done from above.

In this way, the NadHat board is at the top of the mezzanine.

The pHAT automation board is equipped with a standard welded side male header (like the RPI3).

The terminal block is then in the lower position of the mezzanine for the cables of the terminal block.

On the Raspberry Pi card, I put in the reader the micro-SD card I loaded,

with NadBIAN distribution, which you will find on our blog with the instructions.

You should get to the end by following the instructions,

do not forget to patch the distribution, there is just this small command to execute,

which allows to add the user 'pi' to the group 'gammu'

which allows the flow nodered to work.

I insert the board ...

We are on the middle floor,

Then I screw the 4 spacer of 11mm ...

These are the same ones I deliver with the NadHAT board ...

...

the third ...

...

and fourth.

You have the small pipe wrench that is suitable for clamping the spacer.

It will be included in the box that will be offered for sale soon,

The tightening must remain moderate, it is useless to force on a screw diameter M2.5, at the risk of breaking.

That's it, it remains only to plug the card NadHAT equipped with his SIM card

The mezzanine is now complete.

I will now connect the power supply,

and turn on the power.

The card starts, the consumption is 150mA.

The NadHAT distribution includes the service nadpwr.service which turns on the board,

during system loading and then dies.

The system is now loaded

The NadHAT card has hooked the network, the orange led flashes slowly now.

Consumption is now 250mA.

under 5 volts which is 1.25 Watt of consumption.

I will now connect in SSH,

...

on the Pi board

...

and for that you will have to know your IP address.

For this if you have an internet box, you go to your operator's portal,

in my case, it's the operator Free.

You will see which IP address the DHCP server has assigned,

to your Pi card without without having to connect a screen and a keyboard.

...

You can also set up a static lease on its dhcp server,

to always have the same ip address according to the MAC address of the WIFI module of your card.

On my configuration, my internet box assigns, compared to its mac address,

the ip address 192.168.1.20.

I connect,

'ssh pi@192.168.1.20'

password 'raspberry' as on the Raspbian distribution.

We are now connected to a console ...

...

let's try df: disk free to see the remaining space ...

...

It is interesting, above all,

- Check the status of the Nadhat board,

typing: nadpwr,

the Nadhat card is turned on.

- Check the status of the services:

We will first check gammu-smsd.service,

it is active.

I am now looking nodered,

it is active too.

All services are active, I will send a sms containing 1

at the NadHAT sim card number.

But before I go to visualize the nodered flow,

in a window of your explorer, which will be your development console,

from your pc by typing the ip address of the NadHAT card

and specifying the port number: 1880.

Here is the nodered interface and the deployed flow so active

waiting for an SMS (containing 1 or 0)

I send with my phone a sms with only content '1'

...

the NadHAT card received the SMS, gammu-smsd saved it as a file,

by the flow which found "1" in the SMS and set the GPIO26 to 1.

The relay is powered and closes the circuit, it would light the stove but here we turn on the light.

I now refer to the same number an SMS containing "0"

...

I just turned off the relay

We heard the click of looseness.

You have the details of the functioning of this flow on the blog.garatronic.fr (do not hesitate to launch)

to better know the details of this automaton (which we invite you to improve ;-)

There, it's over for today.

See you soon.

One longs to find a partner

One knows that nowadays

One love will be the answer

One sees a crazy world

One needs a fresh perspective

One comes to realize

One love's a true objective

One seeks a perfect love

One learns to tell the difference

One finds in consequence

One love is all that makes sense

One hopes there'll be a way

One peers into the distance

One thinks that come what may

One love may be the best chance

One love, and only one

One love, to last forever

One love, only one love

One love, it's now or never

One tries to draw a line

One draws a swift conclusion

One tells oneself in life

One love is the solution

One falls in love at last

One celebrates the meeting

One always will because

One love cannot be beaten

One love, and only one

One love, with no misgivings
