January 2018 Makes - Duration: 9:14.

hello and welcome back to the vlog, my name is Boz, thank you for joining me

today and I hope you're well. Today's video is gonna be all about the things

I've been making in January and I've made four and a half things so I'm quite

excited to show you those. So the first thing that I made was my top-secret

project that I've been talking about since December. You might remember that I

flashed this red envelope at you in my January plans video. Erm, now I still

can't tell you what it is that I've been making I did mention in last week's vlog

that I've been selected to be a pattern reviewer for My Handmade Wardrobe patterns.

So my vlog is scheduled to go out sometime in early April, so the thing

that I've been making which I've successfully made in January, erm, will be

on the April vlog which is specifically about that pattern. So do stick

around if you like to hear more about that. Erm, but in the meantime if you'd

like to check out the My Handmade Wardrobe Patterns that launched this

month I will link to them in the description box below. So the next couple

of things that I've been making in January are both from this beautiful pink

liberty denim that I got from the Liberty man at Birmingham rag market.

So the first thing that I made is this gorgeous pink Cleo pinafore dress by

Tilly and the buttons and I'll try and pop some pictures in here of it in its full

glory. I absolutely love this dress I'm so

thrilled with it. The denim fabric is just absolutely perfect for this pattern.

So the only changes that I made to the pattern were I've made a length that's

halfway between the long version and the short version because I'm quite tall

it's still very short on me even though I haven't gone for the completely

short version. Erm I've done the big pocket on the front and I'm wearing it

today with my it has pockets pin from the pink coat club which is just perfect for

this make and yeah I absolutely love it. Erm I can't think of anything else to

add. I've got this silver dungaree buckles that just clip on here and they

were really fun to install you've got to use a hammer to get the jeans buttons on

so yeah love it. And the second thing that I managed to make from this

beautiful pink fabric was the Arielle skirt from Tilly and the buttons as well. I

got this as part of the KB pattern swap. The lovely Fany from Sew Many Fabrics

sent it to me. Erm I haven't got it finished yet just because I've been

really trying to take my timeover it and make sure that it's all finished well

and made properly and also because I've never really done buttonholes before I'm

just taking my time practicing the buttonholes and making sure I get them

right. So just got the buttonholes and the buttons to finish on that and then

hopefully I'll be able to show you it in more detail in my February makes video.

I was really thrilled to be able to get both of the Cleo and the Arielle out of the

same piece of fabric I thought that it was only a meter and a half long but the

gentleman on the stall was explaining to me that it was wound on to the roll

wonky so when he cut it, it would have been cut wonky and so he cut me a

little bit extra so I actually ended up with two meters of the fabric. And then I

shortened um well from the Cleo and the Arielle I did the same thing with the

length I made halfway between the short and the long version which for me feels

like they're both very short because I'm quite tall. Erm and then I actually

managed to get all of the facings out of the fabric as well so I'm gonna

pop a picture in here of what the cutting-out looked like because it was a

bit of a Tetris mission but I was really pleased with myself that I managed to

work out in the end and everything was on grain and fine so yeah really pleased

with both of those and I'll show you that skirt soon. The next thing that I've

been making is the sunny dress for the sew my style challenge. This is by the

Friday pattern company and it's up here in the background and I'll pop in a

picture of me wearing it as well um I don't really have great things to say

about this pattern it was quite frustrating to make so I managed to get it

finished and photographed and up on Instagram by the deadline but I wasn't

really happy with this dress it's made out of this beautiful grey and pink

toned jersey fabric which I got from the cotton reel studio. The fabrics

absolutely beautiful but I really wish that I hadn't wasted

it on this dress the main thing that frustrates me about it is the sizing

it's actually really really tight on me and it accentuates everything basically

it really shows off my tummy and I've got a little bit of a doughnut going on

around my belly button so it's not very flattering and I just wish that I had

maybe made a toile and realized that it was very very snug fitting which

it doesn't seem to be in the pattern picture so I would have sized up one or

two sizes just to get it more kind of form-fitting but flowing over the body

rather than hugging tight to it. Erm the second thing is that there aren't any

notches on the pattern there's one notch it's right at the top of the shoulder

piece on the sleeve which I didn't think was necessary in that place because the

sleeves actually symmetrical and the fact that the sleeve is symmetrical I

think makes it fit a little bit weirdly. I think the intention with the

symmetrical sleeve is that you're supposed to be able to wear the dress with the

scoop neck either at the front or at the back so you can wear it back to

front but I think that when you do wear it what I would consider back to front

with the high neckline it's too high it's really uncomfortable so I thought

it was just a feature that was too much for this pattern it it wasn't really

needed. Erm there weren't any notches down the side seams which I really like in a knit

pattern and then it tells you to stay stitch the neckline after you've already

sewn the shoulder seams together which seems a bit weird to me because the

whole point of stay stitching a neckline is so you don't stretch it out while

you're handling the pieces and then it also tells you to insert the sleeve like

you would insert a woven garment. Erm, like you would insert a sleeve in a

woven garment which I thought was really weird especially because one of

the benefits of sewing jersey is that you get to put the sleeve in on the flat

and it goes in really fast I don't think that sewing it, that setting in the

sleeve adds anything to this dress. Erm the scalloped hem was really nice

but in the end I decided not to finish mine. I've left it raw and that's just

because this is quite a casual dress and I didn't want to chance stretching out

the stitching so I thought it'd be better if I just left it raw and so yeah

overall not really happy with this make I'm probably not gonna wear it I'm

thinking that I might chop it off at kind of the high hip level and wear it

underneath my Cleo dress and that might make me a bit happier with it. And

then the final thing that I've been making this month is the harem romper

baby grows so this is the first one I've got finished and I'm absolutely thrilled

with it it's so cute I can't believe how small

and adorable is so on this one I've used the gray and white stripe fabric with the

yellow as the facing and as the cuffs on the feet I've done little snaps as well

Let me get it off the hanger so yeah these little snaps are by prym and

they're dead easy to insert and erm yeah, and use. Absolutely thrilled with how they

went in. I did practice on a little piece of scrap first. One great thing

about the pattern is that it gets you to put a little scrap of fabric a little

square of fabric between the lining and the outer piece and that just gives it a

little extra bit of stability for those poppers or press-studs. It's all sewn

up on the overlocker it went together really fast. I did read a tutorial

by Eleanor of Nell Nan and Nora on the socialists blog just before I came to

sew it together cause this is the first thing that I've ever sewn with stripes

and let me just show you the stripe matching as I'm really proud of it. So

they're perfect down the side seam and then the other side seam is pretty much

the same and then the crotch makes cute little chevrons. I don't know if I'm

gonna be able to show you this but erm because it's cut on the curve it all

goes together really nicely so yeah all that I did was a full of that tutorial

I made sure that all of the stripes lined up when I was cutting the pieces

out and used pins to hold the stripes together and then when I was sewing it

up I just did a pin every other or every third stripe to make sure that the

stripes are lined up perfectly while it was going through the machine so I'm

really really thrilled with how that's turned out and I can't wait to get

another couple of them made up and the beanie hat as well. Erm everything's cut

out and ready to go but I just didn't give myself enough time to get them

all sewn together and again it was just another thing that I wanted to take it

really slowly and take my time over it and make sure that I got it

done well. Erm just because it's going to be a gift and now that I know how to do

one I'll be able to get the other team made up really fast so looking forward

to doing those in February. And then hopefully I'll take some pictures of

them so that I can show you guys before I send it off to my brother and his

partner. That's it for today that's everything that I've been making in

It has been one heck of a weekend after the much-anticipated FISA memo was released and

the curtain of corruption that the Democrats hid behind was finally pulled back.

For the past several years, we all knew that the liberals in Washington D.C. were a bunch

of shady characters, but we could only speculate to the extent of their criminality.

However, that has changed since the memo was released and the world learned what lengths

these swamp creatures in D.C. went through to cheat and deceive the American people from

a fair election.

While the memo exposed how we got to where we are today with the false Russian collusion

narrative the question on everyone's lips was who signed off on the requests to spy

on then-presidential candidate Donald Trump.

Well, now we know who signed this unconstitutional request and to be completely honest, once

you find out who it is you won't be all that surprised.

For over a year, the mainstream media has been peddling that the only reason why Trump

trounced Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election was only that of Russian meddling.

Instead of these liberal swamp creatures admitting that they lost despite all their fraud and

deception they had to concoct a story that Trump and his team conspired with Russia to

beat Clinton.

However, as time passed, the American people learned that it was Hillary Clinton who had

conspired with Russia in the past, remember Uranium One?

At any rate, as Hillary Clinton and the rest of the liberal minions in Washington realized

that she could lose the election to Trump they needed a safety net.

So, they purchased a fake Trump dossier that was created by Fusion GPS and paid for with

funds from the Clinton Foundation to obtain a wire to spy on Carter Page.

Now, we all know who signed off on these requests, and of course, it was crooked former Attorney

General Loretta Lynch.

The first FISA request was denied, but that did not stop these criminals from attempting

their plan to spy on Trump again.

If you remember, President Trump first tweeted that Barack Obama petitioned at least twice

to wiretap President Trump when he was running for office.

In his first tweet President Trump tweeted:

Terrible!

Just found out that Obama had my "wires tapped" in Trump Tower just before the victory.

Nothing found.

This is McCarthyism!

The President next tweeted:

Is it legal for a sitting President to be "wire tapping" a race for president prior

to an election?

Turned down by court earlier.

A NEW LOW!

A very disturbing fact about the wiretapping request of President Trump is that the FISA

Court turned down President Obama's Administration's first request to wiretap President Trump that

was evidently signed off on by Attorney General Lynch.

With only two known applications denied out of 10,700 from 2009 through 2015, the fact

that the Obama Administration's application was denied by the FISA Court is very disturbing.

The odds of this happening were 0.02%.

Now we know that Carter Page was spied on by the Obama Administration and the information

provided to the Court to spy on him was bogus.

We now have additional evidence that the Obama Administration, its AG, FBI, and DOJ were

all corrupt and doing all they could, including obtaining warrants to spy on President Trump

based on bogus information, to take him down before the 2016 election.

This is just another reason why Loretta Lynch, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama all need

to be brought up on charges for their nefarious criminal deeds.

These people went too far with their government overreach by using a court that should not

be in America in the first place.

Now it is blatantly apparent how this court can be used if found in the wrong hands which

is an excellent argument for why it be dismantled immediately.

Lynch signed off on requests that she knew were false, and allowed a sitting president

to spy on a civilian-based solely on that Trump was the left's political opponent.

That cannot be allowed to happen in a country that has a clear process to obtain a warrant,

and it is called the fourth amendment.

It is time that we get back to basics and follow the constiution and begin to arrest

all those that have subverted our laws for as long as they have so we can get back to

making America great again.
