I see. No wonder the left rear felt light.

I couldn't maintain grip in the left corner, and massively over-steered.

Omiya...

It can't be helped.

Luck is a part of the game, and I couldn't have been more motivated today.

I've come to realize that the root of my driving lies in the mountain passes.

You can't experience the sensation of your head going blank on the circuit.

I'm happy that I could fight a real battle, because it doesn't happen very often in life.

Man, I didn't expect Omiya to lose to that Eight-Six kid.

He's quite mysterious.

Too bad he didn't go for a time trial.

By learning his actual time, we could have analyzed his car's fighting potential...

...and figured out the kid's driving skills.

Our opponent isn't stupid. Don't underestimate Takahashi Ryosuke.

Contact the guys scattered along the course. We're heading home.

Did you hear who won, Kogashiwa ?

Of course I did.

We should be happy, because we get our chance.

I guess you can say that.

I have to pay back Fujiwara Takumi of Project D.

In Kanagawa, I'll get revenge for my humiliation on the Iroha Slopes.

Fated Revenge Battle

We've been waiting for you !

Here comes the Ace !

Well...ummm...

Well then, let me, reporter Itsuki, interview Project D's Fujiwara Takumi, who won his first battle in Kanagawa.

Hey, I don't like that kind of thing.

Well, Mr. Fujiwara, tell us what's on your mind.

A full tank of high octane gas for cash.

You moron ! So boring !

How can you keep your tension so low all the time ?

But I just came here for gas. It can't be helped.

Geez, are you ready for the next battle ?

Takumi, when is the second match in Kanagawa ?

The week after next.

We've decided to have an interval between each race.

That means you can relax a bit next weekend.

More or less.

It's a little far, but we've got to see Project D...

...I mean Takumi race at least once.

Good idea. If we can, I want to stay overnight so we can watch their practice the day before the race.

We can visit Hakone's tourist spots and go to a hot spring during the day time.

Hot spring, you said, Iketani ?! Bathing in a unisex hot spring ?!

Not all hot springs are unisex.

That's every man's dream. Just a dream.

Ummm...

If you're coming, the sooner the better. If we lose, there'll be no other chance.

Hey, don't jinx yourself.

Make sure you keep winning.

Geez...

Hello, this is Matsumoto.

What's the matter, Ryosuke ?

Actually, I have a favor to ask of you.

I'll do anything. Do you want a super charger in the Eight-Six ?

No, that's not it.

What, the FC ?

Yeah.

But why your car ?

I can't tell you yet, but something is bothering me.

I see.

This is a separate matter from Project D, so keep this between us for now.

I'm counting on you.

Okay.

He will eventually show up, so long as Hojo Gou is with the Sidewinder team...

I'm sure of it. It's an unavoidable fate.

I can't run away from it...

...not because I'm the leader of Project D, but because I'm a street racer, Takahashi Ryosuke.

Maybe it's time to put an end to...

Kaori...

What ? You're off next weekend ?

Yeah, sort of.

Really ? For sure ?

Then let's go to the beach, the beach !

But no overnight stay, not even coming home late.

That's fine. We just have to leave early in the morning.

You're so right. So we can go to the beach for real then ?

The beach...I haven't been to one for a long time.

I bet there are tons of hot gals there.

I want to see gals in bathing suits.

Nobody says "gal" any more.

I've been bothered by something for a long time.

Like there was a time when it was perfectly okay for school girls to walk around the city...

...wearing a uniform with a mini-skirt that kept flashing their panties.

Yes, there was. Actually, some still do even today.

If you think about it, that's really abnormal.

Even if they're ugly or have thick legs, their skirts are way too revealing.

On top of that, nobody thought it was strange.

It must be some sort of mass hysteria.

I guess you have a point.

The same thing happens at the pool or on the beach in summer.

Personally, girls in bathing suits are erotic and sexy.

Oh, really...

Besides that, how come these creatures called women aren't embarrassed looking like that in broad daylight ?

Well, maybe because everyone else does the same ?

They're only supposed to appear like that to a special someone in a dark private room !

I feel the same way, Iketani !

You do understand, huh ?

In short, they're just jealous.

Maybe I should become a priest. I hate this erotic world.

You're right.

I'm sorry.

I always ask you to come to Saitama.

You don't have to worry about that.

This's incredible for us. Before, we only chatted at a family restaurant.

But we've been together since this morning and come all the way here.

Everything is a new record.

Right. This almost feels unreal.

Takumi looks pretty sharp these days.

Yeah, you're right. He looks more manly.

He used to wear a poker face, or more like some emotionless kid.

I think it's because of his confidence.

He's fulfilling his duty as an ace of Project D.

He meets Takahashi Ryosuke's expectations and gets results.

He did grow up. There's no way we can do the same.

It must be tough, but also very happy...

About what ?

To be a member of Project D.

I'm envious because he can maintain the tension of aiming for one goal...

...by acting as part of a team and joining forces with others.

It's not something everyone can do.

He shines so brightly to those who spend their days aimlessly.

That brat took my Imp because the A/C works better.

Thank you, Takumi. I still have plenty of time before my curfew.

Good thing we didn't get caught in a traffic jam.

Well then...

Be careful on the way home, Takumi.

You too, Mika-chan.

Oh, Takumi, wait.

Umm, you see...

Can you just call me "Mika," instead of "Mika-chan" ?

Go ahead.

Mika.

Nice.

Call me that from now on. Bye.

The balance is better than expected.

Takahashi Ryosuke is quite a guy.

I don't have the ability to refine the suspension settings like this in such a short period of time.

It can really go further with this...

...but probably not until the final step.

It can't be helped. I guess I have to be prepared.

That'll be the last thing I can do for Takumi.

Man, this is awesome.

So it was a roll cage when you said something about safety stuff.

The mood is totally different.

I feel strange. It's like sitting inside a solid box.

The pace of modification seems faster lately.

I can tell that the Project D factory is devoted to the races in Kanagawa.

Finally, the second race in Kanagawa.

So where is it going to be held, Takumi ?

Oh, I heard it's going to be Hakone.

Better ?

Right on. Your adjustment perfectly matches this course.

I can't lose to amateurs.

That said, Racing Team Katagiri's main battlefield is the circuit, not the public roads.

Don't worry. It's impossible to find a reason for me to lose.

I'll put an end to the glory of Fujiwara Takumi, I mean...

...of Akina's Eight-Six.

Their strength lies more or less in their immaturity.

Immaturity, huh ?

Yes. If you drive on the circuit, you get used to safety, and grow fearful of mountain passes.

It's natural because there are no escape zones, and you don't know what's beyond the blind corner.

It's not a game for rational adults to play.

That's exactly what I want to tell you, Kogashiwa.

Even though you know that, you're still going to fight this ridiculous battle.

That means I'm still immature to a certain extent.

This is my graduation ceremony.

I'll probably be scared of mountain passes in a year or so.

But I can still engage in a reckless battle because my sense of mountain pass driving hasn't gone numb.

I want to get revenge on that guy, and graduate from the mountain pass.

Driving skills aren't important.

What matters is how immature you can become.

I didn't notice this in the dark at night, but Mt. Fuji looks so huge.

Is it bigger than Akagi ?

Are you stupid ? Fuji is the biggest mountain in Japan.

That's right. Anyway, it makes me realize that we are indeed in Hakone.

Hey guys, we didn't come here for a school trip.

Eat breakfast now.

Okay !

Hey, Fumihiro, you sound like a teacher on a field trip.

There they are. That's Project D.

Hello, this is Fujiwara Tofu...

It's me.

Kogashiwa...

You always call me out of the blue.

I'm ready, so let's get started.

Well then, could you pick your position for the first run ?

That's how we've been doing things.

It doesn't matter to me. How about letting a coin decide ?

Heads is for the local, which is me, to be the lead, and tails is for you.

Sure. That's fine.

Good.

Tails...

It's decided. I'll be the chaser.

Alright, let's begin !

A race against your son again ?

Right. This time around, he will definitely win.

He's getting better than me...

...as he made his own decision to leave the public road behind and entered the world of motor sports.

It's not something anyone can do.

His efforts brought him the chance.

Sounds wonderful.

What about your son ? Can he surpass you ?

I'm starting the countdown !

Five...

I'll get revenge for my loss on the Iroha Slopes.

Four...

Three...

Two...

One...

Go !

Alright, they're off !

Go, Kogashiwa !

Do you remember that MR-S driver, Kogashiwa ?

Of course. The guy who got pumped up against the Emperor's Sudo, right ?

He drives a mid-ship car very well, thanks to his go-kart skills.

Who'd have thought he'd show up in a place like this ?

Looks like this's going to be another tough battle.

Keisuke's opponent is also an active racer, a real athlete.

Right. Race car drivers have a different sense of time.

They know how to shave it off very well.

If we were on a circuit, our chances would be very slim...

...but the public roads are our stage, so there's no need to flinch at our opponent's title.

We'll be able to win if each of us carries out our job perfectly.

I didn't come here to lose a battle.

The car's improved.

No wonder it kept winning in the northern Kanto area.

But it's no longer mysterious to me.

The turning ability is simply a matter of tire capacity and load balance...

...and acceleration is a balance between power and weight.

You may be able to fool others, but not me.

If I don't make any mistakes, I can win.

I'll watch your progress in this first run, and finish you off in the second.

You divide this course into three sections to build an overall strategy.

The upper section is wider for faster speed.

The middle part is a super slow section with continuous tight corners.

And the lower part is a middle-speed section where you can step on the gas even though the road is somewhat narrow.

Although circuit racers would consider the entire course very slow...

The range of speed is too low in mountain passes.

If the average speed was faster, I could have gained a clear advantage.

But I won't use that as an excuse.

The last section is the decisive point.

If I were Fujiwara, I'd make my move there.

Can he do that against a pro ?

He has to. This is when he has to show his true potential.

I have this eerie feeling.

We might end up seeing it on this course.

See it, you mean...

Oh no, I'm not really good with those things.

You idiot. I never said you'd see a ghost.

Inner wheel lift ? He's good.

But I doubt such artistic control actually contributes to his speed.

Race car drivers don't play around.

Faster or not, that's all that matters.

My brother calls it the Fujiwara Zone...

...but it's not exactly the same as the ones used by top athletes.

It's a phenomenon that only occurs between Fujiwara and his Eight-Six.

What kind of phenomenon is it ?

It's difficult to explain, except for my brother.

I'm not so sure either.

But when I drive behind Fujiwara during practice, there are moments that catch me off guard.

He pulls away for some reason that I can't explain.

I thought it was like a mirage.

You never know when you'll get to see it.

But there's a Fujiwara Zone for sure.

He shows it when a certain set of conditions are met.

What's important is the unique rhythm of the course.

What was that ? My mistake ?

I can't let my guard down.

Remember, I lost to him once before.

Again ? He pulled away at the exit.

Was it my mistake ? My strategy was not to make any.

What bothers me most is that I'm upset.

I might have gotten carried away by his pace.

A point where his rhythm changes ?

Yes. From a rhythmic repetition of stepping on the gas, then releasing it right away...

...to a rhythm of delaying the release a bit.

The two cars are right at that point.

That's where something might happen.

Something ? What is it ?

The peak of the Fujiwara Zone.

I've always wanted to ask you. What exactly is it ?

He didn't just start showing it recently, he did it a long time ago.

When I raced against him on Akina, I caught a glimpse of it.

I feel like it was refined after he raced against Purple Shadow.

Simply put, it's his level of training in the Eight-Six.

When it comes to Fujiwara, his level is beyond our normal imagination.

It must be the result of his abnormal practice environment.

You said he heard the voice of the Eight-Six during the previous battle.

In the auto industry, they often use the phrase, "The driver and the car as one"...

...but in reality, no one can handle one-ton of metal as if it were their limbs.

But something like that happens between Fujiwara and his Eight-Six.

He can use the best part of the tires just when they begin to skid whenever he wants.

He can also freely switch between the side for turning and the slide for acceleration.

As a result, what happens is that the Eight-Six accelerates like a 4WD.

No way, that's not possible.

Of course it's not.

The Eight-Six is still a rear-wheel drive car.

What I mean is that the Eight-Six maneuvers so sharply that it creates such an illusion.

It's a huge shock to see it from behind, especially to those who know what I mean.

Even if you enter a corner the same way, he points his car to the exit a moment quicker...

...then he steps on the gas with zero steering angle to accelerate earlier.

There is a moment when his driving style perfectly matches the peaky characteristics of the car.

I can't completely explain it.

There are things even you can't explain ?

There are.

Especially things like the performance of Fujiwara and his Eight-Six...

...can't be explained by any theory.

I definitely wouldn't be here without him saying that, so I got that tattooed there to...

To just... remind me of that too.

I got this when I was... 19 or 20.

It was one random day I went with a... A teammate of mine and...

I just sat on a chair and said put "NEVER QUIT" on me.

And I showed my dad, and he's not a big fan of tattoos but...

Jordie Benn explains his tattoos | Habs Ink - Duration: 1:52.

I just have this... the date here.

And, um...

My grandfather, we called him Papa.

Obviously he's not here anymore.

He was one of my...

Big influences in my life.

One of my best friends when I was growing up.

Um...

Me and my brother would always hang out with him, so uh, when he passed away, it was a...

Pretty rough day.

So I just got that there to...

Remind me of him.

I actually enjoy getting tattooed, which is weird.

But this... The arms are...

The arms aren't too bad. I...

The legs and chest and... the side are obviously probably a lot worse, so...

Yeah, I got that one.

And then my...

The other one that I...

It's... pretty dear to me.

It's a...

It says "NEVER QUIT" on the inside of my arm.

That was the first tattoo I ever got.

It just...

It kind of symbolizes just... obviously what it says: never quit.

It's been a long road.

Hockey's been a long road, so...

There was a few times where I... I wanted to kind of hang the skates up and try something else, but...

My dad told me... 'Not a chance'.

That he would go to work for me and...

He worked his butt off for me so I could do what I do, and I...

He... He doesn't mind that one, and I guess he...

He's kind of stuck with me with tattoos now.

3 Things Your Higher-Self Wants Your Ego to Know (Just Know This) - Duration: 10:14.

this video will show you three things that your higher self wants your ego to

know I'm gonna share with you these three things and how you can apply it to

really feel comfortable and knowing that you can be who you prefer to be to get

what you want in life welcome back to another video my name is Erin and I help

people expand their consciousness now in this video we're going to be talking

about how our ego and our higher self how they communicate we're gonna talk

about three things that our higher self once our ego to know and how this can

really help the process of attracting what we want into our life now first off

this has comes from the understanding of like an Eastern philosophy we could say

that this is the ego self and this is like the observational self but also

from different like new-age perspectives we could say that in a way our higher

self is what guides us the ego self through the valley think of it like the

ego is in a valley trying to go towards the mountaintop and then on the

mountaintop is the higher self who can see a higher level of awareness can see

a higher perspective to direct the ego where to go in order to most

proficiently or efficiently get to the top of the mountain now the idea is that

the way that the higher self communicates with the ego is through

emotion and feeling so this is why it's so important to follow your excitement

when you follow your excitement once you allow yourself to do is to go down the

path of least resistance to get up that mountain and what your higher self will

do is will give you that feeling and will that bandwidth that gap that you

feel between where you are and that high vibe state or that passion is the

communication from the higher self telling you in which direction to go in

so that's why following your passion such an important thing now there are

three main settled hints I'd say that the higher self will give the ego when

it comes to going up that mountain when it comes to really just understanding

itself at a deeper level and using that in order to attract what we want now

understand that the first one has to do with something all of us can get benefit

of knowing and that is the higher self is trying to tell the ego to serve

and that it's not the egos job to do everything now this is something that we

may learn the hard way I know I learned it the hard way because I started to get

really good results in life when I started to really increase my work ethic

and when I started to use my ego in a powerful way that was because I went

through a spiritual awakening years ago and then when I came out of that I

became very aware that my beliefs were creating my reality and that there was a

correlation between like my thoughts and my experience in life and that was very

exciting to me in four years I was very focused on more I'd say of the ethereal

part of life more of the energetic thinking and the meditating part of

stuff and but then I realized though is then in beginning of 2016 I've started

to take max of action towards my dreams and desires then what happened is I had

an explosion of growth I started to grow very quickly on YouTube I went from like

four or five thousand subscribers up to like a hundred and seven thousand within

like four or five months and I believe that that had to do with me taking

action but I was then being rewarded for that so I got positive reinforcement and

I thought that that's what the problem that like that was what everything was

really though what it was it was an energetic connection because I felt so

passionate while I was doing it and what I had to didn't learn is I had to learn

how to let go and every time I would let go up to how every time I would

surrender it's like I'd let go of any resistance and things would come in

flooding so much faster it was like it was so much easier for me to achieve

what I wanted now this means that surrender is what's important we

understand that what we do is we have an intention for something we want to

experience in our life that we can take action towards that but then we should

not should but then what we can do is let go of the outcome - then almost give

it up to the universe and allow the universe to do its job rather than us

always trying to do everything else now we could also use this analogy in the

form of our higher self give up the control over everything it's okay to

surrender and allow things to happen that's when everything really begins to

change because as we change our state of being as we go from feeling resistance

because we are here and we want to be there then what we do is we allow the

moment to be we trust the process and as we trust the

process things start to fall into place we don't have to work so hard it's like

we become more efficient with what we're doing and that's when everything really

begins to change now the second thing that our higher self wants our ego self

to know has to do with

now the second thing that our higher self wants our ego to know is that we

are friends now I know that sounds kind of ridiculous but there's a lot of New

Age information or not even new age there's just new intros new books coming

out and sometimes it talks about how the ego is like the bad part of us so the

ego is the enemy now somebody actually commented on my one of my recent videos

and asked me because I got the book called ego is the enemy by Ryan holiday

for Christmas they asked me if that was still relevant or that was a good book I

think it's a great book however what I would say is I think the purpose of

saying the ego is the enemy is to realize that we can disassociate from

the ego because for years we've thought that we are the ego so then what we do

is there's a next step we've become aware that we are not the ego and we are

not only the ego and then the step above that we transcend that and realize that

we must work with the ego rather than against it now the ego is part of our

physical experience so if we say that the ego is the enemy who are we enemies

against who can be enemies against anybody if the ego is a part of our

experience so what I've learned to do is to become friends with the ego to work

with it when you aren't aware of it you start to transcend that limited

awareness you transcend identification with the ego and you allow yourself to

then work in a much more powerful way so don't think of any part of yourself as

negative or bad negative always causes separation integrate with it incorporate

it be aware of it don't identify with it but as you become aware and you can

start to become friends with it everything will change because you're

not disassociating with the part of yourself that is part of the human

experience we are having a physical experience and if we didn't have the ego

we would not be able to do that now there's a difference between having the

ego being aware of it and identifying with it we can realize that's not who we

are that at a deeper level we are immortal spiritual beings having a

temporary human experience and when we start to really tap into that we start

to let go of all the resistance that comes with it of the controlling of

anything else and we allow ourselves to be who we prefer to be now the third

thing that our higher self wants our ego self to know

is to loosen up to lighten up and to have fun now this is always prevalent

and always very you know from the perspective of the ego the ego wants to

control the ego wants to always be serious it's like always let's get this

stuff done let's get here I'm here I want to be there there's such a

seriousness that comes with it now the higher self wants to be more playful it

wants to communicate to the ego self and say hey when you loosen up when you just

have fun in the present moment your state of bean goes up and as your state

of bean goes up you then resonate with higher level awareness you resonate with

higher level paradigm of where things could come into your life much easier so

this is the awareness that when you loosen up and have fun you increase your

state of being and you will allow things to come into your lives so much easier

because you are resonating with that energy understand that everything in

life has to do with resonance they've shown in science that everything is

vibration when we are feeling in a higher state of being which means we're

having fun we feel like we have a great sense of humor we feel like things are

just flowing that's when things are really gonna manifest things will happen

in a much easier way and when we start to integrate that level of fundus it's

the most it's like a paradox because then things just start to happen

let yourself let go by letting go you will be allowing in even better things

than you can imagine and realize that after all of this the best possible case

scenario that the ego can imagine is only the floor to the higher self that

we limit ourselves by thinking this is what I want to create this image when

that image is a limitation in self even if we say I want to make X amount of

money per year if we put ourselves out a cap at like two hundred thousand dollars

a year whatever it is that is a limit within itself because the higher self

can imagine more than that but we limit ourselves by being identified with it so

what I'm saying here is let go of the outcome you can still have goals but

what you learn how to do is you learn how to allow rather than try to control

and you realize that the ego doesn't know everything

the ego can't do everything so allow the universe to do its job allow your higher

self to do its job and as you let go of that you know luggage we've been

carrying around on our back we feel so much lighter we can actually start to

have fun and that's when everything really begins to change so another part

of this of course is understanding our subconscious mind and that's why I've

created a free mp3 meditation that can totally transform your subconscious mind

so that you start to see yourself and a higher point of view this is something

that you could download for absolutely free it's going to be in the description

box below I recommend you listen to it for at least 21 days so that you really

are able to transform your limiting beliefs transform your self-image and

start to become the kind of person that you want it'll help you observe your ego

so that you're able to raise above that level of awareness and you can start to

construct and become the kind of person that you prefer so with that being said

I hope you guys enjoyed this video feel free to like this video if you guys like

this subscribe if you guys haven't already as always I'll see you guys on

the next vid peace much love and namaste

Oh, raise up your hands now.

Following the brake light of the front car.
