Playwright Claudia Rankine discuss her new play The White Card - Duration: 0:47.

So "The White Card" is about a White family that invites a Black artist to dinner

because they're interested in her work. Visual artists are able to engage

issues visually and so much of racism gets triggered visually. You know, I could

have a phone call with someone and if they don't know what I look like they're

not going to judge me until I show up. And then it's when I show up in the room

that things go wonky.

Channel Update: New Monetization Threshold and 5K [February 2018] - Duration: 4:49.

Hello there guys and girls,

welcome to another monthly channel update of mine.

Some of you might have heard that YouTube has once again changed some stuff.

Now, I'm not the kind of guy that just bashes everything for no reason...but come on YouTube.

You're not making it easy for me here...okay, so...

A while back to monetize your channel you needed 10.000 lifetime views.

Now they upped that threshold significantly.

If you want to be a YouTube partner and place advertisements on your videos, you must now

have at least a thousand subscribers – which I think is okay – as well as tallied 4000

hours of overall watch time – the latter of which is really something.

For comparison: In 2017 I have put an insane amount of work into this channel, growing

very slowly.

During these 12 months I had around 6000 hours of watch time, which means I'm safe for

now, but I'm not far off this new threshold.

Starting February 20th, YouTube is going to do a ton of manual reviews.

But probably these weird, disturbing "kid friendly" channels are gonna stay alive

and well despite being potentially damaging to children.

All it would take is a couple of clicks to forever demonetize such channels, but instead

it's the hard workers YouTube is going after with arbitrary rules like this.

They say, most of the channels affected by this have earned less than a hundred dollars

per year.

The problem I have with this is that it all just goes by the numbers again and with the

excuse that they want to sort out the bad actors on their site.

Let me ask you: Why does "small" necessarily mean "bad"?

There are many creators from countries where a hundred dollars is worth a lot compared

to their own currency and for which an income like this can be a great addition to their

usual pay.

And even for a creator like me who also earns way less than a hundred dollars per year on

YouTube that little bit of money helps, even if it only pays for two delicious kebaps per

month.

Because two kebaps is better than no kebaps.

One thing from their blog entry made me curious, though.

They said there's gonna be a "three tier suitability system" for the brands and marketers

to decide which kind of videos they want to put ads on.

That one gives me a little bit of hope, because then gaming manufacturers could say – ok

we're cool being affiliated with videos from GTA or Battlefield which are naturally

not family friendly in the Disney sense of things.

While on the other hand cosmetic brands could say "ew we don't wanna be affiliated with

greasy gaming nerds".

So maybe that will help avoid this yellow dollar sign popping up all the time.

But at the same time it could also go very badly with this system.

Who knows?

All in all this stuff kinda makes me think more about just switching off all advertisements

on YouTube and instead relying on my fans to donate on Patreon.

That way YouTube won't get anything off my content anymore and I wouldn't have to

care about this crap.

I feel this new threshold is yet another punishment for small creators while it is actually a

reaction to what Logan Paul did.

The difference?

He is one of the top players of the site and YouTube supported his behaviour beyond escalation

for too long.

You'd think that YouTube takes a closer look at their best employees, right?

But nooo, as long as they bring in some moneyz it is all fine.

Okay, calm the fuck down, whanowa...well...uh.

Oh, hey I saw that SocialBlade gave me a future projection that I would hit 5000 subscribers

next month.

YouTube recommended to me that I would hit 10K next week if I filmed dead bodies dangling

from a tree, but I couldn't find any yet.

Whatever.

If you have any idea what I should do as a special, please let me know.

I do have something scripted but maybe there's something you'd like to see, like a tour

of my production setup or whatever.

Let me know what you think and I will reply for sure.

Thank you for watching and stay tuned, whanowa over

"You have it all, my friend.

You have the looks, the talent, you can dance, you can sing." — NBC Presenter.

The segment talks about fan chants, auditions, dance choreography and plastic surgery – with the presenter asking a surgeon to make him look like Taemin.

Hot News! 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan SUV Review - Duration: 2:59.

Second risks don't come readily, but not much about Volkswagen has been painless recently.

The 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan is a big compact crossover SUV--or a small mid-sizer, perhaps--climbing

the comeback road for the automaker.

Like the full-size Atlas, the Tiguan aims straight at purchasers' advantages for tall-riding

vehicles that are full on tech and light on cost .

Shoppers very interested in compact crossover SUVs are upset by choice right now; each automaker

is putting its best paw presented to enticement purchasers into showrooms.

Volkswagen's effort is admirable, if somewhat anodyne, and is a solid step back into some

purchasers' good graces .

We give the 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan a 6.8 overall, which reflects our opinion of the available

features and consolation.

We expect that tally may rise when official refuge data is made available.

Volkswagen deserves spots for a crossover SUV that does everything asked of it.

The new Tiguan is more spacious than its predecessor with a relatively calm ride, compelling cost,

and modest a rise in fuel economy.

It shortfall the driving request of the new Mazda CX -5, fuel prudence of the Honda CR-V,

or the mass request of the Toyota RAV4, but Volkswagen has an ace that its challengers

don't--or won't .

The new Tiguan( like the Atlas) comes with a superlative 6-year/ 72,000 -mile new automobile

warranty that is transferrable to successive purchasers.

That should improve resale prices for the Tiguan during that time, and demonstrate new

owneds peace of mind.

Volkswagen's guarantee is more than generous in comparison with other automakers .

Beyond its superlative warranty, the Volkswagen Tiguan strives to carve a niche for itself.

Its available third row is like the comparable Nissan Rogue's wayback( which was dropped

for 2018, curiously enough )-- best for very occasional employment only--and the Tiguan's

turbo -4 feelings labored at times on the road leading .

The Tiguan S trim serves as the base and won't impress numerous purchasers beyond its low-toned

entry cost of $25,345.

Mid-level SE simulates start to wash away those sentiments with better upholstery and

a larger touchscreen.

SEL or SEL Premium simulates pile on tech and accessibilities .

Hot News! 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan SUV Car Performance Review - Duration: 3:22.

No doubt, there may have been other a blueprint for the 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan when it was

envisioned roughly five years ago, but we've come a long way, child .

Today, the Volkswagen Tiguan is offered with one engine merely, a new 2.0 -liter turbo

-4 that obliges 184 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque .

That's down on hp but up on twisting from the last engine, with predictable solutions.

Its only accomplice is an 8-speed automatic, which are able to shuffle superpower through

the front wheels, or all four wheels when equipped .

Tasked with carrying practically two tons, the turbo -4 runs out of ideas quickly, and

the communication doesn't help the situation.

We give the Tiguan one point above median for its serene go.

It deserves a 6 out of 10.

The Tiguan's turbo -4 is new for Volkswagen and is engineered for efficiency.

Its 184 hp production is down on the current model's 200 hp, but up on torque to 221 lb-ft

from 207 lb-ft .

The devil, "theyre saying", is in the details.

The 2018 Volkswagen delivers smooth, but pressing superpower, early on in the rev scope.

Most of the engine's available twisting is coming back early, down at 1,600 rpm, which

facilitates the Tiguan feel like a titan on departure.

At higher revs and rapidities, the Tiguan quickly runs out of breather.

In our drives in and around the Rocky Mountains, we found that the Tiguan took roughly 10 seconds

to accelerate from 60 mph to 80 mph, about the same rapidities it'd take to execute a

pass on the interstate .

That's not specially quick for the class, but few stand out in that category anyway

.

The engine is exclusively paired to an 8-speed automatic that's tuned for efficiency and

facilitates the Tiguan achieve a competitive 23 -mpg blended rating.

As a result, the automatic hesitates to kick down and doesn't feel specially bright.

Upshifts are rapid and crisp, the Tiguan is eager to find third gear before the other

side of the intersection .

Aside from any powertrain deficit, the Tiguan excels at coddling passengers with an easy

ride and competent cover.

The same basic setup from last year persists: struts up front and multilink rear corners,

although the Tiguan feels like it's more softly ricochetted this time around .

That feeling is reproduced into the steer, which is brightnes and doesn't change much

by putting the Tiguan into "Sport" mode .

How to get my dog to calm down - Duration: 6:19.

in this video I'm going to explain and show you how to calm your dog down all

that and more coming up

hello my name is Saro I'm a dog trainer also coach dog owners in this video

I'm going to show you and teach you how to get your dog to calm down if you have

a dog who's hyper who's driving you crazy there are a few tips that I can

share with you that will help you to get your dog to calm down and relax a bit so

one of the first things that I want you to do is start providing your dogs

it's daily five essential needs this is something that many dog owners don't

realize that they're not providing the dogs essential dating needs every dog

has a daily needs and those five essential daily needs are exercise

training socialization care and also affection if you provide those five

daily essential needs of your dog you'll see that your dog is going to be calmer

and more relaxed to learn more about all the five essential needs I've made a

video that I'm gonna link it right here that you can go and watch that the

second thing that you can start practicing with your dog and providing

to your dog and it's part of the essential needs is training then in this

case I'm going to recommend teach your dog to sit and stay the sitter's stay is

a command that you can teach your dog and then use it throughout the day every

time you're doing something let's say you're working in the office you can ask

your dog to sit and stay if you're in the kitchen and cooking something you

can ask your dog to sit and stay if you're greeting somebody you can ask

your dog to sit in stay and if you want to teach your dog how to sit and stay I

have a video for that you can watch those videos right here the next thing

that I want you to practice with your dog is calming your dog before going out

for a walk it doesn't matter what time of the day is it doesn't matter of any

days as long as you get your dog to calm down I'm going to show you how to

achieve that and here we go harming crews who are getting ready for

a walk and as you can see he's not excited he's not pulling on the leash or

he's not agitated to go for a walk he's very

calm so my goal is to keep him calm in here before we go out of the door for

our walk so let's say I am going for a walk have decided before 30 minutes walk and

I'm taking my time here and it takes 10 minutes to calm down

Harvey I will take that 10 minutes we'll go for 20 minutes walk and come back but I

won't go out until I have a calm dog if I can't control my dog and calm my dog down

here good luck out there so I have to try to get my dog to calm

down over here so when my dog is calm and is relaxed and the leash is nice and

loose then I'll go for a walk other than that I'll just wait here 10

minutes 15 minutes 20 minutes 25 minutes whatever it takes and kill my dog calm

down and think that you're not going to go for a walk with him I am calm

so we take that time calm down and I hope you like that clip that's very easy

all you have to do is just practice it every day and you're gonna get better

the next thing that you can do and this is very important and it's one of the

reasons why dogs have behavioral issues including being hyper and having a hard

time to calm down is reducing your dogs exercise or adjusting your dog's

exercise so what you want to do is for instance if you've been hiking or

exercising your dog for two hours I want you to reduce

the exercise level to half an hour and make it twice a day - half an hour of

exercise per day that way you're gonna see that your dog is going to be more

relaxed and calmer badeen for your day and also the opposite is true if you

haven't been exercising your dog enough I want you to start providing - half an

hour exercise sessions with your dog after a few days you're going to see

that your dog is going to be calmer and more manageable and number five tip that

I'm gonna share with you and how to help your dog to calm down is believe it or

not keeping your dog on leash I've said this over and over and I recommend this

all the time keep your dog on leash don't feel bad keeping your dog on leash

attached leash to you loop leash around you and attach it to your dog as much as

you can throughout they let your dog just hang out with you be around you by

you and you are gonna manage and control your dog having your dog on leash I know

it's uncomfortable maybe for a few days but after a few days you're gonna see

that your dog is going to be calmer and more manageable so by following these

five simple tips you're gonna see that you're gonna be able to calm your dog

faster and you're gonna have a dog who's much more happier more relaxed and it's

going to be a fun dog to be having around as always if you want to have a

well-behaved healthy and happy dog consider subscribing to my channel and

also hit the bell icon as well so you will get notified as soon as I post my

next video I'll see you next time and until next time have fun with your dog

and keep your dog calm

University of Alabama Executive Ed.D. Program 2018 Faculty Video - Duration: 3:07.

If the student is looking

for an executive doctoral program to figure out where their career might go next

and how the program can help them, I think what Alabama offers

is a proven track record of strong

students, excellent professionals, an alumni network

that crosses the country. One of the things that I really like about the program

is the structure that we put into the dissertation.

They have deliverables that they turn in at a specific time, and it keeps

them moving. It keeps them engaged. And they tend to complete.

When Im in the classroom, Im really co-constructing knowledge with the students and I

also end up taking different perspectives from classroom discussions.

We choose them, in part, based on their

interest in the kind of delivery method that this program

has. We're, I think, for someone who is dealing

with lots of issues both in work, and in literature. And it's

a chance to create some safe space for some very rich discussion.

One of the concepts that I present to them is my expectation that they

become scholarly leaders. And so, the concept of scholarly is that

they are grounded in theory and concepts, and also

in research training, and that they become even more effective as leaders

because they bring those 2 things together. I've been really fortunate

to be able to travel with students abroad several times through the executive program.

It's a fantastic way to understand that higher

education is really best understood from an international perspective.

Its just a phenomenal experience to get to interact with scholars from outside

of the University of Alabama. I like connecting theory to practice.

The last time I taught power, politics, and change I had 3

university presidents come in and speak to the group and a systems chancellor.

And the students benefitted from that interaction.

They could see themselves being in those roles eventually.

You'll find if you look at our graduates, that a lot of them got better jobs

even before they finished their dissertations. That's because

they know more about the field, and a lot of that comes in

the class because they have learned from fine professors

and they have learned from each other. I would argue that completing a

terminal degree, a doctoral degree, from the University of Alabama, is going to

propel our graduates to be highly competitive in the

workforce, to be highly sought after in terms of leaders across

all sectors of higher education. So whether that's community colleges,

whether that's at universities, private institutions, or even at the state

sector, or policy. I think they're prepared to

hit the ground running in terms of applying their knowledge, in terms of

critical issues facing higher education. I think we

go above and beyond the call of duty to make

sure that everybody does finish.

University of Alabama Executive Ed.D. Program 2018 Student Video - Duration: 1:56.

I've wanted to attend the University of Alabama

my whole life.

I'm originally from Middle Tennessee,

a small town just west of Nashville.

I pivoted from there to Georgia College and

State University where I was an academic advisor.

So I started out teaching adult education to guys

who had been incarcerated.

And so I decided that it was the right time.

Although I worked in Higher Ed,

I didn't understand all the inner workings of it.

I knew I always wanted

to pursue a doctoral degree.

I always said I want to be a President of a

college or university.

Somebody's got to do it. Why not me?

And if I want to advance into

the position of a Dean or Director

I need a more

institutional view.

Academically, I love that it challenges me,

it pushes me outside of boundaries

that I'm used to and

I love the cohort model.

We all rely on each other.

We became friends and family instantly.

I've got 12 other people

that know exactly what I'm going through.

They know what my challenges are,

they have families, they have jobs

just like I do.

That's what makes this program unique.

The success rate of the students that are coming

out of this program, for me, it was a no brainer.

If it feels right for you

and where you are in your life

and career, go for it.

Find a program that fits

your needs.

I'm a person who

is always striving to be better.

So I knew in order to get

to the level that I wanted to get to

I was going to need that Doctoral Degree.

And this program is preparing me

to expand.

This program gives me the opportunity to learn about

all the different sectors of Higher Ed.

So, it's exposing me to all different

kinds of universities.

I know that Alabama is very much respected

and it helps to

to see that you know what

that I graduated from the University of Alabama

with my Doctorate in Higher Education.

My heart led me to this University

and it was by far

the best decision I could have made.

Fireside Chat - Sensitive Teeth - Duration: 1:25.

Hi, everyone! Welcome to East Lake Dental!

I'm Dr. DeSutter, and today's fireside chat is about sensitivity.

There are a lot of reasons that your teeth can be sensitive.

but we're going to focus on - today - the major one, which is root exposure

A lot of people have recession

whether it's brushing too hard or grinding

or a whole myriad of other things that cause it.

If you get your gums to recede a little bit,

you've exposed part of your root

The root is covered by cementum, which flakes off real easy

in your normal tooth brushing routine -

exposing the inner layer of the tooth, called dentin.

Dentin has these little holes in it that are filled with fluid

and they connect all the way down to the nerve.

So every time that fluid moves,

you get this bright, sharp pain that we call sensitivity.

It can be caused by a lot of things.

Touch, hot, sweet, cold -

if any of those come in contact with the root of the tooth

and you'll get this zinger which is not a great feeling.

The good news is, it's pretty benign and fairly straight forward

a lot of times, sensitivity toothpaste will help with that.

They all work a little differently,

so if one doesn't work for you, try another

Another thing that I tell a lot of my patients -

is to take some sensitivity toothpaste; put it on your finger, and rub it along the gumline

in the area that is especially sensitive.

That helps a lot.

If you just rub it on there and leave it overnight

you'll find that after a few days of doing that,

a lot of the sensitivity goes away.

There are a lot of other reasons,

like I said earlier, that can cause sensitivity.

So we'll talk more about those in future videos

But if you have any questions,

as always, feel free to reach out to us

at East Lake Dental.

Panasonic Toughbook CF-C2 Handle Replacement - Duration: 2:12.

This is CF-C2 handle replacement. Start off by removing the two screws on

either part of the handle that connect to the bottom of the base where it comes

out in like a Y shape -an elongated Y shape. There's 2 screws on each part. On

the other side of the docking port- one is above the serial number and model number.

Once those are taken off you can lift up the handle and pull it back. You'll see

two more screws for the last part of the handle, that slides in from the back and

screws down from the bottom. Just take those two screws off and it should slide

out. Get your replacement handle and go ahead and slide it in place. There's a

metal plate that goes over top of the rubber of the handle. Make sure that it's

in there. Screw down your handle in the back.

Set the other two spots in place. Then in the center on either side of the

laptop put the metal covers back on. They go between the screws and the rubber of

the handle. Go ahead and put the screws in and screw it back down. Once that's

done you're all done with this handle replacement. If you have any questions,

any suggestions, any comments just let us know. You can give us a call on our

toll-free number 877-202-7788 or

you can send us an email to our tech support email which is

Top 10 Party Schools of 2018 Ranked by Playboy - Duration: 6:32.

Top 10 Party Schools of 2018 Ranked by Playboy

The term "Party School" is used to refer to a college or university that has a reputation

for heavy alcohol and drug use or a general culture of licentiousness.

The magazine Playboy has published a list of party schools in 1987, 2002, 2006, and

every year since 2009.

Playboy ranked America's best party schools by Sex, Nightlife, Sports, and UVA came out

on top.

Here, the below is the list of Playboy's Top 10 Party Schools.

10.

University Of Michigan University Of Michigan is a public research

university in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Students at University of Michigan are known for throwing parties.

Oh, 'the Michigan difference.'

The haughty catchphrase works because it's true: Wolverines study hard and party harder,"

Playboy wrote.

"At 'the Pit,' a shared backyard between frat houses and an epicenter for Saturday-morning

tailgating, students get advanced degrees in Wolverine superiority,

House parties abound in Ann Arbor; if one gets shut down, students roll the kegs to

the party down the street.

Win or lose, Michiganders still booze.

9.

University Of Mississippi Ole Miss is the quintessential southern university,

with beautiful classic buildings and a campus steeped in tradition.

Football Saturdays here are a religious experience, and tailgating before a game in the Grove

is one of the coolest college football experiences one can have.

The Grove is populated with oak, elm and magnolia trees, and tents are added on fall Saturdays.

Notable buildings include the Lyceum, which is the oldest building on campus (1848).

It is pictured on the school's official crest.

Another interesting building, and piece of history, is the School of Medicine, which

was used as a Civil War hospital for both Union and Confederate soldiers.

etc makes this place a perfect party school.

6.

PUPPETEARS - S2 EP11 Everyone's Famous - Duration: 5:18.

Intro music.

KIDS SHOW INTRO When you're starting to feel that it's getting to real

and you wish that it would end,

that's when a sock and a cue may come

into the room and it's time for Poppy and friend.

NICOLE (OS) A hug will cure what ails ya.

POPPY Sigh.

NICOLE Oh Poppy, what's wrong?

POPPY Oh, hey Nicole. I don't think people like

me.

NICOLE Oh Poppy, people like you. And you know what?

I like you in bunches.

POPPY Oh...But a little boy was mean to me at school

today.

NICOLE Ohhhh Poppy.

NICOLE Okay, where is my eye line?

DIRECTOR (O.C.) Sorry, your...what?

NICOLE Where is my eye line?

DIRECTOR (O.C.) You're talking at the puppet so...

NICOLE I know I'm talking to the puppet but I'm

just a little confused about my eye line,

because he's looking at the ceiling.

Shall I be looking at the ceiling?

DIRECTOR (O.C.) Jeff, could Poppy look at Nicole?

JEFF I thought I was.

NICOLE Kids find me enthralling. They watch the show

and they are enthralled by me and we would not be the third highest grossing kids show

in the south-eastern part of the province if I wasn't enthralling and they're not

going to be enthralled if my eyes are all over the fu#%ing place because I don't know

where to fu%#ing look because the puppet's everywhere.

JEFF My eyes are googly.

NICOLE Sometimes people are mean because they're

sad. It doesn't mean that they don't like you, Poppy.

POPPY It doesn't?

NICOLE Nope. Sometimes people feel bad about themselves,

and then they go and put the blame on others.

POPPY Hmmm.

NICOLE Honest to f*#k. Where are my eyes? Are they

in the fu#$ing ceiling?

NICOLE Okay, whoa. What did I tell you about getting

close to me?

DIRECTOR You.. not to do it?

NICOLE That's right. Twenty feet. You make me look short.

Bell rings.

POPPY He said that I was bad at marbles.

NICOLE Oh Poppy, it doesn't matter if you're bad

or good. What matters is how you feel when you play.

POPPY Oh, gosh, you're so smart.

Thank you so much Nicole.

I don't know what I'd do without you.

DIRECTOR (O.C.) Okay cut.

POPPY Sorry, was I doing that thing again?

NICOLE Ah, Jesus fu#$ing Christ. Where did you get this guy?

He said cut. Okay, Jesus, stop talking to me with the puppet.

JEFF I didn't want to break character.

NICOLE You didn't want to break character?

Are you Daniel Day-fu#$ing-Lewis?

JEFF No.

NICOLE Cause he would know his Goddamn eye line.

JEFF I was checking my phone. I'm sorry.

NICOLE You were checking your phone during my take?

JEFF It was my wife.

NICOLE Oh, is she f#%king dying?

JEFF She might be going into labor.

NICOLE Oh, shit, my God.

I'm sorry.

Congratulations.

It's amazing.

Come here.

JEFF Thank you. Thank you.

NICOLE You should bring the baby to set when...

JEFF Yeah, yeah, yeah.

NICOLE Yeah. Can I, can I hold your baby?

JEFF Of course. Yeah.

NICOLE I would love to hold your baby and I would

love to smother it to death so it won't have to grow up with a f#%king idiot for a father!

Bell rings.

POPPY The kids never give me my marbles back.

Now I can't play anymore.

NICOLE You know, if you keep being nice to them,

they're going to be nice to you too.

POPPY So just keep on smiling.

JEFF I've got a baby on the way, and I'm a

puppeteer with low bone density. This job is a big break for me. I need this.

DIRECTOR (O.C.) We need to keep Nicole happy because she is

the show.

JEFF I think she's a genius. I feel really lucky

to work with her. I'll play ball.

NICOLE Somebody bring me a Boston Cream,

with a straw.

I just want the filling, not the outside part.

NICOLE Remember Poppy, no matter what others say

about you, you are special. And I love you.

Kiss.

POPPY Ahhh, thanks Nicole.

NICOLE No problem Poppy.

POPPY You really brighten up my day.

NICOLE Stop f%#king staring at me.

POPPY Um, but

puppets don't blink.

Nicole screams.

Flesh tearing. Bone snapping. Poppy SCREAMS.

NICOLE You'll never be as good as me.

JEFF Ahhhhh. My hand. You took my hand!

NICOLE Do the fucking lines.

JEFF I need an ambulance!

DIRECTOR (O.C.) Jeff, we're getting you an ambulance.

NICOLE Keep crying, crybaby.

If he doesn't do the

lines, I swear to God.

DIRECTOR (O.C.) They'll be five or six minutes, so you do

have time to do the lines.

JEFF What??

DIRECTOR (O.C.) Jeff, please do the lines.

JEFF Okay, let's do the lines.

Bell rings.

Kid's show music.

JEFF (O.C.) I...I love you too, Nicole.

NICOLE And you know what else, Poppy?

JEFF (O.C.) What's that,

Nicole?

NICOLE A hug will cure what ails ya.

Nicole laughs. Poppy screams.

SHOW OUTRO It's time for Poppy and Friend
