Youtube daily report Feb 5 2018

There's just so many possibilities here. Don't feel limited by the business

education or the focus on entrepreneurship. It's going to be super

valuable for whatever interests you have, so just really that this is a foundation

education that can take you to so many different places.

One of the things that makes Babson so unique is the large population of international students.

It's something that I had never seen at any other college I looked at, and it was

something so important for me especially for business to get a global perspective

and be able to interact with people from many countries that I'd never been to

before, some of them have never even heard of before.

I just have a bunch of good friends here. It's like a really good community. It's not like really

clicky or anything like that everybody kind of gets along and the different

communities on campus interact and mingle really well so it's it's just

like a good fun safe place to be.

So, I'm an international student and there's a great like community of other international students as well, so I

think that makes everybody really welcoming and like a lot more

open minded about other cultures. So, it's a lot easier to be comfortable.

There are so many different types of people here and so many different types of groups

and it was actually an environment where I was able to like take parts of my

identity that I previously had not been able to explore and be able to explore

that through like different clubs because Babson has like every single type of person.

While it is a small school, there are so many resources

and so many different opportunities all over the world that Babson is not in no

way limited by its size. It has such a large outreach.

I talked to my professor about my career interests and my concentration path interests here at

Babson. She said she would reach out to the friends that she had at different

corporations that I was interested in working for. She said she reached out to

her fellow faculty members to get me into some classes and I just realized

that everyone here is in it for our success and is willing to do whatever

they need to do to get us to the places where we want to be.

It's almost insane how passionate people are about the stuff that they do here whether it's

Greek life. Whether it's theater, I'm involved in theater, whether its

investment banking. Like there's so much passion here and what's really really

great and something that surprises me all the time is how that passion

translates to each other. When I was interviewing this semester,

my friends helped me for hours. They do mock interviews with me. I mean just

totally take time out of their day to like support my passions.

So, here at Babson you should definitely get ready to be in an academic environment that

really pushes you to be the best that you can be.

Get ready to kind of think outside the box.

Get ready to be really passionate about what you're learning.

Get ready to meet professors who are motivated and interested in you doing

well. Get ready to be really excited every time you see Biz E. Beaver around campus.

Get ready for inspirational students, a fast-paced environment

invested professors, and meeting your best friends.

What is compounding? -- Clark Professional Pharmacy - Duration: 1:09.

Hello, this is Nathan Worthing, pharmacist and co-owner of Clark Professional Pharmacy

in Ann Arbor.

When patients come into our pharmacy and they see our lab, it often prompts a lot of discussion

and questions about "what is compounding?" and what are some of the things that we can

do for them.

Compounding is essentially your physician prescribing a unique medication, or custom

medication, for your specific needs.

A few examples of this would include medications that are free of gluten, for chemical-sensitivity

patients, or free of certain dyes.

We also do a lot of custom dosing.

So for example, if there's a medication that needs to be re-dosed, like an antidepressant

medication or a pain medication at a lower dosage than what is commercially available.

That's something that we specialize and do in our lab.

And we also do unique formulations, or delivery systems.

For example, topical medications -- topical delivery of pain medications... those types

of activities are commonly done in our lab.

If you have any questions on any of the services we provide, please feel free to call me at

(734) 369-8782.

Thank you!

Coach Jennie Testimonial from Michele Stans - Duration: 6:15.

- Hello everyone.

I'm Soul Coach Michele.

I am joining you today to talk to you about Coach Jennie.

She has helped me immensely.

I know it's odd for one coach to say go see another coach,

but I come from a firm belief system that coaches need

coaches, and does everybody else, so there's enough for

all of us to go around.

I started working with Coach Jennie July of 2017.

My goal for the last 15 years has been to leave

corporate America and start my own business.

I've been doing spiritual, intuitive, advisory work and

law of attraction work for my entire life.

It's a generational thing.

My family does it, so I just do it,

and I wanted to kind of take it more mainstream,

but there was so much fear getting in my way about quitting

my legal job, which brought in a lot of money and was

very practical and what everybody thought I should be

doing.

Should, bleh, icky word.

But it was not what made me happy at all.

And, as a WOO person, I wanna put there out there,

everybody knows, Jennie makes it very clear, she is

not WOO.

She just speaks the WOO very fluently.

And so I wanna speak to my WOO colleagues right now.

If you need a coach that is grounding, that really can

help with practicality, get you out of your own way,

Jennie is your girl.

She helped me get out of my own way, she helped me leave

my corporate job after 23 years of me trying to do it all

on my own; didn't work.

I needed her to help me, to hold my hand to do it,

to figure out ways to make sure that I did it in a way

that was practical for me, but also supported my

spirituality goals.

She has helped me figure out how to market myself.

She's down from being the, get you to the edge and go

over it, goal, to helping me create my business, and really

maintain that groundedness that a lot of us WOO folk

have trouble maintaining.

She is also a great friend, and she's created

environments for people of all thought process and

spirituality background to thrive, both in her course,

in her one on one coaching and in her alumni association,

which I also belong to all of that stuff.

I can't say enough about her methods.

Her workbooks are friggin' awesome.

I mean I've never, I strive to make workbooks as awesome

as hers.

I can honestly say it changed my life.

I would not be sitting here on a Friday afternoon at

12:13 getting ready to do my radio show,

and sketching out my new YouTube channel and working

with my new one on one clients, doing all the things,

getting ready to go be out in my community as a reader

and then as a coach, if it wasn't for Jennie.

So, if you are wanting to do something, and you are ready,

you are really ready, like there's no more bs.

It hurts so bad to be doing what you're doing right now

because you're not doing what you wanna do,

Jennie's who you wanna talk to.

I mean, as someone who is very practically WOO,

she knows how to talk to you, she knows your language,

she gets your spirituality and,

at the same time, gives very grounding advice and shares

her own thoughts and compassionately pushes you and

calls you on your shit because we all need that.

We all need somebody to call us on our shit.

I mean our friends and family coddle us and love us and

that's all fine and good because it makes us feel good,

but when you have a friend or a coach who compassionately

gives you a good shove in the direction that you want

to go, and you get there,

it's amazing.

It's an amazing feeling,

and granted yes, when you get to the edge you have to take

that leap of faith on your own, but Jennie gives you

the tools to know that the universe has your back when you

make that leap, and not, she may not think, be agreeing

that there's the universe and all this and we do,

but it's almost like the universe has one hand, and

Jennie has the other and when it's time to leap,

you know you're safe.

So, I don't, I can't, I could go on for hours,

talking about how awesome she is and how awesome her

program is.

In fact, I think she has a really great headshot of me

on her website giving a testimonial.

Obviously I don't have as much makeup on right now and

I'm wearing glasses but, you know,

what I said in that is absolutely true.

What I'm telling you now is absolutely true.

If you have gone to different programs and you have worked

with different coaches and it's just not there yet

for you, and you know that you are getting, that you

need that extra like, mm, she's your coach.

I mean that's all I can say.

If you're ready, you want it, and it hurts more to stay

where you are than it does to close your eyes,

hold your nose and take that leap, she's the person for

you, okay?

So call her today.

Call her and talk to her.

Call now, right now.

Get off Facebook, pick up your phone and call her or

set an appointment or whatever it is that she wants

you to do.

Just go call her okay?

You'll thank me.

You can even join my Facebook group and tell me how

awesome I am because I recommended her to you, so,

anyway, Soul Coach Michele, go find Coach Jennie,

sign up for her stuff now.

I'm telling you.

It'll work.

It's better than Reese Cup.

Go do it.

Love you.

Emmerdale's Nell Fairfax looks VERY different in real life in steamy snaps - Duration: 2:15.

Emmerdale's Nell Fairfax looks VERY different in real life in steamy snaps

The character pretended to have lost her baby in an attempt to win over Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson), but it was all a lie as she had researched Jais ex Holly Barton.

Emmerdale cast Nell, played by Scarlett Archer, was revealed to be a con artist when she was last seen on camera repeating her scam with a new person.

But in real life, Scarlett is a far cry from her evil alter ego, as she has demonstrated on her social media.

The blonde bombshell has posted a series of steamy snaps, including one of her with a plunging black top.

Another one features the actress with no bra as she sits on the floor in a bodysuit and jogging bottoms.

Her fans have rushed to her glamorous snaps to compliment her and beg her to return to the soap.

One put: Omg you look amazing, please say Nell is coming back.

Another added: Youre stunning.

Things have been pretty quiet for Jai since Nell left, as he was seen struggling to get over the horrific betrayal.

Could Nell ever come back to try and patch things up? Emmerdale continues tomorrow at 7pm on ITV.

What does Batman have to do with laundry? Wyre CEO Michael Dunworth gives us the low-down ⚡️ - Duration: 6:56.

Before Wyre we started as a company called snapCard and that was so my

co-founder him and I met I moved to San Francisco he was from Baltimore who also

moved to San Francisco we'd never met each other we were living on bunk beds

in a hacker house and a hacker house for lack of a better term is an orphanage

that has Wi-Fi it is literally bunk bed after bunk bed

after bunk bed like like a sardines, like an army barracks almost like there's no

doors anywhere like it's not like oh that's my room don't go in there close

the door it's not a door in sight like it's just literally rows and right I'll

send you some photos if you want it's rows and rows of bunk beds and everyone

is you know in there working it like they're raising money or that just

started it like Y Combinator or they're working in internship at Google or all

these kind of environments right in the heart of sort of San Francisco Silicon

Valley so I met my co-founder there we decided we wanted to work together on

some stuff you know we weren't sure what started cranking on a few ideas and kind

of just like hitting sort of mental roadblocks and then one day we said you

know what let's just do something completely out of what we were doing

which you know we were focused on spending digital currencies at the time

this is back in 2013 so right when the last bubble happened around sort of

September in 2013 and we ended up basically saying right we've got a

whiteboard out which said right and close the laptops we're gonna think of

some idea that is totally unrelated and what we did was we thought about laundry

so buy you know not buying and selling laundry here's your dirty laundry no it

was we thought about basically the idea of everyone does laundry everyone gets

it delivered I mean not everyone but I mean you can get it delivered why don't

we make it fun how can make it fun or different what's the change on it

alright let's dress up as superheroes so basically what it would be is you could

log on you choose your laundry stuff but then you also get to choose who by like

who delivers your laundry and who picks it up is it Batman, is it Spider-man is

it Superman and to our partner to our mate who was

working with us on this he chose Batman and I think only people chose Batman we

actually we only had a Batman suit I think we had a Superman suit somewhere

but like it was just so funny like we got (did the kids love it) oh it was a mate like it fascinated

so we didn't realize it we thought oh yeah this would be funny novelty and we

go and then all the kids would start running to the door so like the you know

don't you here's the laundry for Mrs. Smith and then her two kids in the back

would run up being Batman Batman and so now the kids start holding the parents hostage

not literally hostage but they start like whinging and complaining when Batman doesn't come and

pick up the laundry so you kind of get this really quick viral growth where

these five year olds are like you're distributed marketing team almost like

we thought about the idea (talked about in the school grounds) I'm serious like literally and so we went

from like we did five orders the first week and we did 50 orders the second

week and then it just got to a point where we're just like we're driving

around in like you know Batman Batman would come to drop off a laundry or

figure out the laundry but we'd have to like drive the you know the bodgey

Corolla that my co-founder had at the time of breaking down it was off-white I

hadn't been cleaned in six months so it doesn't look as sexy when Batman gets

out of his old Corolla to deliver the laundry so we'd have to park around

the corner from wherever which means the person doing the laundry would have to

come out like laundry bag and do this like walk of shame up the street as

Batman in the middle of the city which is pretty funny so we actually we got to a point

where it was it was actually really starting to take off and we thought

about different like marketing campaigns one of the things we thought about was

giving out flyers to like parents and kids outside like preschools and

kindergartens because the kids would be like oh my god of course we want Batman

monk we have Batman and the pricing was ultra competitive as well so it was it

had a really big opportunity and then we kind of had the idea of like you know

different neighborhoods each week could be like heroes and villains so you might

have the Joker and Bane and like say the Green Goblin versus like in your

neighborhood one week and then your Spider-man and Superman all that in a

different neighborhood and I think you I think you could play around with it and

take it really far if you wanted to but we sort of after driving around in the

this stinky car of laundry we sort of thought

probably a more impactful thing that we could do with our time but you know what

I love that service to come back I only I would love it I think one of the

funniest things is why it ended up sort of shutting down was it got to a point

where it was a comment with the days but it's sort of like around October I think

it is in the US maybe Memorial Day or something or Veterans Day or something and

basically it was a Monday and we had all this laundry requests from Sunday night

and we're going to do that doing the rounds picking up like 30, 40 lots of

laundry in the morning and we went to drop them off at the different you know

laundromats in the neighborhoods that we work at and when we went to drop them

off everyone was closed it was a public holiday and we had no idea and we're

like oh s#*t and say the laundry has to get done everyone so we spent the entire

public holiday from I mean like 7:12 a.m. till about 9:00 p.m. at night just doing

dirty laundry at this coin laundry and the coin laundry by the way is not that

cheap and they ended up just waxing our money waxing our time and then after

everyone was sort of just like a beat we were just like I don't want to see

another pair of dirty socks, dirty undies I'm gonna you know hang up the cape so

to speak so yeah and then that was kind of that was about a three week exercise

for I suppose the equivalent if you're a writer

I'm not terrible at writing actually but if I was a writer I think of it like the

equivalent of maybe like writer's block like a way to like kind of clear it

totally step back do something completely unrelated and then come back

in and then that's when snapCard we came back in and we were like pretty

clear headed of like oh you know we need to be doing this we need to be helping

people spend their digital currencies it's going crazy and then eventually you

know that became buying and selling digital currencies then that became Wyre

which is leveraging digital currencies to be able to send and receive and

still buy and sell so that was part of the evolution of how we got to here

we've got ages to go but that's the story so far that's probably like

chapter one two and three of what I'm assuming would be like the Lord of the

Rings kind of there's 600 chapters left so yeah anyway

DON'T STOLE MY BIKE ! - Duration: 8:06.

hi, it's Aurelien FONTENOY !

i hope that you are good !

we are close to paris

we will do Self Defense

with our expert : franck Ropers

you know who i'm ?

I'm Franck Ropers

specialist of Self Defesing

for everybody

i have very easy technics

to be able to do

that what we will do today

i come with my bike

and we will imagine someone who will try to stole it to me

and we will learn how to defens himself

let's go

it's classic

I am at a standstill

he comes and put me the pressure

my hands are blocked

i can't defend myself with my arms

i have To release myself

it looks easy

i can do nothing

i will try to do a mini "Key"

in impulsing

like this

looks simple

watch this

it's important

reduce typing amplitudes

here, it's a kick as John Wayne

a jaw strike and this is the K.O

kick

and watch . Knee

built a distance

and I go away

You ! you will be able to go fast

Me, i'm a bad cyclist

i through the bike or i try to go away

it's better with the bike

people who are watching us, they will do that and they can go

i do 2 kicks why ?

i'm sure i will touch minimum one time

jaw, often it's K.O

and Knee because if they are no support

there are no puissance

and you can go

he blocs

relax your shoulders

BAm ! rotation

kick

and with htis leg you will crush

and you have a distance between you and him

you can go

first technic is good ! simple !

i porpose to you a second

it's very different

avoid doing

it's that

because he will stop

we don't know who is he

he can : 1 : use drugs, alcohol...

he will feel nothing

but he can be a good fighter

So if you do that, he will automaticly stop it

the amplitude is too big

I block, it's psyco

i touch, i'm in contact ! what he will do ?

knee

a key, and a kick

it's better to have him close to us

YES !

it's basic

I am aiming for simple points

KNEES

THROAT

EYES

JAW

i know that if i touch, same without power,

i will kick him

it has to be fast

just save your life

your turn

i'm like this

i take here

he will connect to you

what he will do ?

all his energy is on your hand

directly your kick low

now fast rotation

and now...exactly

and i go away

i save my bike !

and me :)

and after there is a third possibility unfortunatly

he is fare

the best tool of self defens

it's prevention

observe environement

as you do on your bike

it's same

block him

idea is, he has a weapon or you suppose

you block him

as you could do with a chair

i will do it slow

ok maxime ?

that's a real kick !! ahah

here, he blocks

feint

and i try to kick him on knees, because it's harder to stop it

to kick his face

we want at first. Kick low

if you have a baseball bat, it's easier to stop high than if you kick him low

it's hard to stop a low kick

you will do that

but he will kick you

try !

you see him

you don't feel him, it's hot

you suppose that he has a kniff

directly you stop him

hand !

kick

directly on knees

people has to understand

put the hand it's not only psyco

if i do that

he will block me

if i hid his eyes and do that

i can touch him

it's a kind of magic effect

exactly

if i shake here, he will watch

i do that, he will watch and ..BAM !

perturbation

it's not sports it's feinte

you have to survive and protect your bike

he his suppose to have a weapon

it's the opposite of what we could think

we want to fight as we can see on films

But it's more feintes that we have to learn

people don't understan that each cituation isn't similar

each technics are adapt to cituation X

the goal is just to keep his bike or survive

and after we can learn high class technics

FOR YOU ! not for me

let's go ! it interesses me

high level technic right ?

only you can do it or few people in the world

we are talking to bike champions

so let's go

he will arrive

with a kniff

you will arrive in wheeling to push him to the floor

move on !

good !

only you can do it

i will not try

you can try ! show us !!!

it could be a weapon with your touch

it could be funny

fun ! it's a job

you will do the same, if you can

you will try to slide

as we could kick like that

i have to touch him where ?

low parts

between middle of leg

and the down

we do often that

kick here

kick here

low kick

brake the knee

with the bike now

let's go

SLIDE !

Great !

and now you can go away

i have a second

do what you feel

after the slide i can do the flying bike

Yes ! and you go

it's genial

when he is on his back

he has to restart

but you are fare

you ! but not me :)

third technic ?!

i have an idea

yeahh

it's perfect

i did

the technic that wa use in self defens is THE SAME

he has the kniff

we will do the same

kick

YOU DID THE SAME

well done

The best Self defens

it's the most natural

you are so strong in your sport

that is normal

so you can do it

same for me in my sport

not everybody can do it

it's fun, because i don't say anything, i don't show anything

he did as he tought

i did exactly a technic I teach

in self defensing

I'm READY

well done

Ladies and gentelman, Mister Franck ROPERS

ohhh not bad

i have never seen it of my life

3 Easy Vegan Energy Balls Recipes! - Mind Over Munch - Duration: 3:27.

Hey munchies!

Welcome if you're new, I'm Alyssia,

and today is a special episode because once again I have teamed up with Sunsweet®

for their I Eat Right Because Campaign.

We all have a reason for eating right.

In fact, my reason is consistently evolving as my journey progresses.

I eat right so I can provide my body with FUEL that it appreciates.

If I fuel my system properly, I run more efficiently and effectively, and I feel so much better.

Sunsweet® Amaz!n Prunes fit right into that.

They are the Feel-Good Fruit, and a delicious way to keep our bodies in balance.

So today, I am sharing 3 energy ball recipes with you, and they all use prunes!

First up are my Cookie Energy Bites!

For these babies, I am making a prune puree, which is super easy to make.

I combine Sunsweet® Amaz!n prunes and water in a food processor

and blend until smooth without any chunks.

This will last a few weeks in the fridge

and it's great as a fat substitute in baking, as a spread, or these energy bites!

I mix the prune paste with vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt,

and then add coconut flour a bit at a time until we get a nice thick dough.

You'll probably have to scrape down the sides and pulse it up.

Roll into balls, and refrigerate to store!

The coconut flour makes these resemble a cookie in texture and flavor,

and the prunes add such a wonderful natural sweetness,

and I won't complain about the health benefits, too!

Next up I have some fruity oatmeal energy balls!

For these babes I'm using Sunsweet® Diced Prunes.

I love these because they're prunes that have already been diced up

and are ready to add to anything, without prep!

For these I combine rolled oats, walnut butter—you could use any nut butter if you prefer

but I love the flavor of walnut butter in these—diced prunes, chopped walnuts,

maple syrup, orange zest, orange juice, cinnamon, ginger and salt.

Mix together—it should be sticky!

Use a cookie scoop to scoop into balls.

Make it nice and compact so they hold their shape, and then freeze for an hour.

Once firm, you can transfer to the fridge to store, and you're good to go!

These taste like a fruit and nut oatmeal, on the go!

The orange zest really brings out the freshness.

So fun!

The final recipe I'm sharing today are these chocolate hazelnut energy balls!

I roast hazelnuts in the oven, remove the skins,

and then blend them in the food processor until crushed.

I add Sunsweet® Amaz!n Prunes and coconut oil into the processor and pulse until mixed.

Then I add almond butter, cocoa powder and salt!

This mix will be thick!

Scoop out your balls, and they're ready to enjoy and store in the fridge.

A nutritious hazelnut chocolate spread bite, perfect for snacking or a healthy sweet treat!

I hope you enjoyed these energy bites!

Now I encourage YOU to participate in the Sunsweet® I Eat Right Because campaign!

Metalliquoi ? - Episode 24 : Les supergroupes - Duration: 14:39.

Hi everyone, and welcome to "Metalliwhat ?"

For this first episode of the year, we'll look into the supergroups !

Let's start with a definition : What exactly is a supergroup ?

"Ah, it's like... Megadeth ?"

No. Megadeth is a super cool band, it's not the same.

A supergroup, by definition, is a band formed with musicians that are already known for playing into famous bands.

In English, we can also call it an "All-Star band"

"Ah yeah, kinda like the Avengers ?"

Exactly like the Avengers.

For example : The Traveling Wilburys, formed in 1988

Bob Dylan, ex-Beatle George Harrison, Tom Petty, Jeff Lyne & Roy Orbison.

But you don't really care about Classic Rock, do you ?

All you want is bands that kick ass with distortion and double bass drum, right ?

Well, you are right !

We are in Metalliquoi, and we talk about Metal ! So here is some :

Ok, I admit we started a bit hard.

But it's good ! At least it shows that even in Death Metal we can have supergroups.

Bloodbath, formed in 1998 by Mikael Åkerfeldt (singer/guitarist for Opeth),

Anders Nyström and Jonas Renkse from Katatonia,

And Dan Swanö, who played in soi many bands that their listing would be useless and tedious.

But I allow myself to advise you to listen to Nightingale, personnally.

The project of these 4 friends was to mix Swedish Death and American Death (the two birthplaces of Death Metal) with a more recent sound.

And the result is more than convincing. It really is a quality Death Metal, even Claudia likes it !

Ok, bad example.

But I do like it very much !

Let's skip to a completely different genre that we didn't really talk about in the show : Groove Metal

"Hellyeah" is a supergroup formed in 2006 by 2 musicians of Mudvayne :

2 musicians from Nothingface :

(2 bands of Neo Metal), and the drummer who will bring with him the Groove Metal,

because he is no one else than Vinnie Paul, the drummer of Pantera :

Pantera was the spearhead of Groove Metal.

It was formed by Vinnie Paulo and his brother, the guitar prodige "Dimebag" Darrell

Unfortunately he died in 2004, shot during a concert of their other band DamagePlan.

So 2 years later VInnie created "Hellyeah" with Tom Maxwell, Chad Gray, Jerry Montano & Greg Tribbett.

And they chose Groove Metal as common passion.

But what is Groove Metal exactly ?

It's a genre that's hard to define because there hasn't been a wave of bands to define it,

unlike Death or Neo Metal, for example.

The definition that semm the most right to me was the one of a guy that said it had a "Post-Thrash" atmosphere,

where we still had a riff-based music, with riffs kinda similar to Thrash Metal,

But we kinda left out the speed that made Thrash what it is, we'll be more on mid-tempos.

So it's not really simple to categorize Groove Metal bands, we often see bands categorized as Thrash when they really are Groove.

Including Pantera, it happens.

And as we are on Pantera, we'll talk about its singer : Phil Anselmo.

Our Dear Phil has a very tight schedule, because he has a lot of musical projects.

It's even part of the reason why Dimebag & Vinnie put Pantera on pause and created DamagePlan.

So we'll look into one of his projects, maybe the biggest : Down

Down is a supergroup created by members of Crowbar,

EyeHateGod,

Corrosion of Conformity,

and Phil Anselmo of Pantera.

Regarding the genre, we could speak about Southern Metal.

It's the Metal version of Southern Rock.

Southern Rock, guys ! Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers, Molly Hatchet, all of that !

Well, here, it's the same with Metal.

It doesn't get anymore American than that. It's made by rednecks of the southern states,

for Down it is Louisiana.

Let's change the genre but stay in the very American, with Mr. Big :

In the category "kick-ass team", it's something huge ! On drums : Pat Torpey,

On bass : The monster Billy Sheehan,

On guitar : Paul Gilbert himself,

And on vocals, Eric Martin, known for his solo career before joining Mr. Big.

Even if there would be a lot to say on this hell of a crew, Paul Gilbert first,

We'll talk about Billy Sheehan, who could have had his place in the episode on bass guitar.

A virtuoso of his instrument with a gigantic sound,

And that played in a lot of bands like UFO, David Lee Roth, Steve Vai,

and also a lot of supergroups like Thrasher,

No, not this.

This :

The Winery Dogs, and Sons of Apollo, two bands where we also find someone we talked about in "Metalliwhat" :

Mike Portnoy !

As I said in the episode on drums, since he's no longer in Dream Theater he's been cumulating projects,

and half of them are supergroups !

And I'd like to show you one that ok, he's not a part of anymore, but that he created,

and that still has it's awesome singer : Russell Allen

Russell, that you know friom 2 bands I showed you in "Metalliwhat : Symphony X and Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

Yeah, TSO is not really strictly speaking a band, but still.

By the way, in the category "band that doesn't really count",

you probably know "We are the world", this humanitarian song that gathered artist like Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie, Tina Turner, etc...

Oh, sorry ! I took the wrong clip !

Well, in Metal, we also had our humanitarian song with a super line-up !

The band is called "Hear 'n Aid", and the song is called "Stars"

It's a project initiated by Ronnie James Dio to gather money against famine,

and that brought together some of the greatest musicians and singers of the 80s.

The song starts with a sang part, like verse-chorus,

where we hear singers of bands like Dokken, Rought Cutt, Quiet Riot, Judas Priest...

and it goes into 2 min & 45 seconds of guitar solo !

with the ball of virtuoso guitarists of that time.

Twisted Sister, Journey, Iron Maiden, Blue öyster Cult...

even Yngwie Malmsteen !

I demand that you go listen to that gem as soon as you finished this video.

It widely deserves 7 minutes of your life.

It breathes the 80s as ever, and the song,

besides being impressive by its line-up and touching by its humanitarian goal, is really beautiful.

Where was I ?

Oh, yeah ! Supergroups !

So, we just saw Hear 'n Aid that ok, gathers a ton of musicians and singers,

but that only released one song, so it's not exactly a supergroup.

Here is one that matches the status :

Here, we have a supergroup that released a full album, and that's still active atfer that.

It counts amongst its ranks David Ellefson of Megadeth,

Alex Skolnick of Testament,

and ooooh ! Mike Portnoy, what a surprise !

In fact, we have these 3 musicians that make the heart of the band,

and on the album we have a list of guests long like a day without listening to Heavy Metal.

On the downsinde, regarding the music videos it's not that...

If we can even talk about music videos :

I agree that it is complicated to organise the shooting of a music video when you gather so many people from so many bands.

But for God's sake,

a lame edit of smartphone-filmed videos in rooms of the house or on the roof of a building, seriously ?

Well, at least it shows an interesting problem of supergroups :

in the case where it's not just the new project of the musicians that create it because their previous ones stopped,

it's complicated to work together.

Because everyone has imperatives with their respective bands, be it tours, studio, etc.

so to be able to do tours, studio, etc. with the supergroup, it's not always easy !

Well, except Maynard James Keenan who, given the time that takes Tool to release an album,

has more than enough time to focus on his other bands, like A Perfect Circle :

To give you a good example, I'll show you a supergroup that was formed in 2007,

that released their first album in 2012,

and whose first and only tour to this day took place in 2017.

If I tell you that the band is composed of the drummer of Mean Streak,

the guitarist and the singer of Soilwork,

and the bass player of Arch Enemy :

Do you feel the kind of music they will do together ?

You lose ! It's classic Rock :

Yeah, I know, I said we would talk about Metal.

But I had to talk about them.

First because it's still a supergroup with Metal musicians,

and mostly because it's god damn awesome !

The guys are nostalgics of Classic Rock

We can even say Hard Rock, because they have some ballsy songs as well :

so they managed to create a perfect compendium of this 70s/80s music with,

to quote them : unnecessary catchy choruses and solos.

I really advise you to listen to this band, their 3 albums are excellent and really pleasing to hear.

And I leave you on this good words, I'l see you soon on the "Metalliwhat" channel !

It was "Metalliwhat ?"

A show on Metal presented by Hubert

Thanks to :

The list of songs played during the show is available in the description below

Thanks for watching and see you later !

And the supergroups, they exist for the youtubers ?

Well, they do, actually !

We created a youtube channel with a show that's called "Metal : The Gathering",
