Youtube daily report Nov 26 2018

Do you know when I said that I'm not going to get any books for awhile because I can't

read them because of uni?

That was a lie.

Oh my god these are so heavy.

In my defense...I didn't buy half of these.

Hello everyone!

I am Ashleigh, and today I'm going to be doing a book haul, basically.

I got remember when I got these books from so it could be October.

It's just a recent book haul really.

I wasn't intending on buying books because I literally can't read anything besides my

uni reading at the minute.

But that obviously happened.

That plan went SO well.

But quite a lot of these were actually sent to me and I have reason for buying everything.

But I'm going to talk about the books because even though I can't read anything until like,

Christmas break, I can talk about them.

I'm excited.

I'm beyond excited for some of them, as you'll see.

But anyway.

We're going to talk about books now.

So the first book that I got was actually bought quite a while ago, but this is Athelstan

which is a very small nonfiction book.

This is one of the Penguin Monarchs.

I've read two of these now, I've read Mary I and Victoria.

I told myself I wouldn't buy any more of them until I'd read the ones that I have.

I have done now, so I'm going to just buy them one at a time as I want them.

But yeah, I didn't know where else to start apart from the beginning.

This is about the first king of England.

He has a really good name.

Like, King Athelstan.

That's badass.

I love it.

Next up we have a book that I preordered and it was released in...September?

Was it?

Oh my god when was it released?

Hang on.

Haaang on.

September!

So we do go into September in this book haul, but whatever.

But this is Vengeful by V.E.

Schwab.

This is the second book to the vicious duology, and Vicious is about two boys who figure out

that they can give themselves superpowers with science.

And as I always say, it's a very morally grey story.

You don;t know who's the bad guy, they have very grey morals and it's just a really good

story.

So this is the second book.

It's huge.

I did want to read this the second it came out but uni started so I haven't done that.

But I'm very excited to get to it.

And this is the collector's edition.

It's so stunning.UGH.

We love a nice hardcover.

I don't actually like hardcovers that much but there's quite a lot of them in this book

haul.

In fact, most of the books in this book haul are hardcovers.

I'm now going to go into the books that were sent to me because I have another Victoria

Schwab book, and this is The Dark Vault by Victoria Schwab.

And this is a bind-up of her earlier books The Archived and The Unbound, which I have

wanted to read for years but they are really hard to find in the UK.

So I was so glad to find out that Titan Books were publishing this bind-up edition.

And I saw one of the publicists for Titan Books tweet about having some of these copies

for reviewers, and I was like "pleaseee could I have one?" and she very kindly said yes.

So thank you very much!

And I am very excited.

This is about...I'm just going to read the synopsis because it says "Imagine a place

where the dead rest on shelves like books.

Each body has a story to tell, a life seen in pictures only librarians can read.

The dead are called Histories and the vast realm in which they rest is The Archive.

Mackenzie Bishop's grandfather first brought her here 4 years ago when she was 12 years

old, frightened but determined to prove herself.

Now her grandfather is dead, and Mac has grown into what he once was, a ruthless keeper,

tasked with stopping often violent Histories from waking up and getting out.

Because of her job, she lies to the people she loves and she knows fear for what it is;

a useful tool for staying alive.

I just - I mean, Victoria Schwab is one of my favourite authors and I will read everything

that she releases.

So here we are.

I love the fact that all of Victoria Schwab's books have like a white, black and red theme

in the UK.

It's incredible.

My Schwab Shelf is looking fine as hell.

The next book that was sent to me for review is Between Worlds: Folktales of Britain and

Ireland by Kevin Crossley-Holland and illustrated by Francis Castle. This is exactly what it

says it is, this is a collection of British folktales.

It doesn't need any more explaining than that.

But this was sent to me by Walker Books and when they offered me this, I just had to grab

it up because - grab it up?I meant snap it up.

I had to snap it up because I love folktales, fairytales, myths, lots of different things

like that.

And I haven't read that many from Britain, so...y'know.

I had to.

And this also has like a really stunning underjacket.

It's so pretty!

Apart from the cockroach on it.

That's not so pretty.

But the owls and the butterflies and the deer are very nice.

But I am actually currently reading this.

I'm just under halfway through.

I'm reading it very slowly because like I said, uni reading is taking over my life.

But yeah.

I just thought it was the perfect one to pick up now because I can't read a lot at a time

so like, I can pick up these and just like flip through short stories or like read one

fairytale at a time.

And eventually I will finish it.

When that may be, I don't know.

But we'll find out in a future wrap up of some sort.

The next book was sent to me by Simon and Schuster, and that is The Boneless Mercies

by April Genevieve Tucholke.

And this again I'm just going to read the synopsis because...I'm not good at explanations.

But this just says "This is a story of mercies and witches.

Of reeds and thorns.

Of women and giants.

Frey, Ovie, Juniper and Runa are Boneless Mercies, death-traders hired to kill quickly,

quietly and mercifully.

It is a job for women, and women only.

Men will not do this sad dark work.

Frey has no family, no home, no fortune, and yet her blood sings a song of glory.

SO when she hears of a monster slaughtering men, women and children in a northern Jarldom,

she decides that it is the mercies' one chance to change their fate.

But glory comes at a price..."

I was sent this to take part in an Instagram tour, and can you blame me for wanting to

join because it's the exact sort of Young Adult fantasy that I love to read and also

it is absolutely stunning, so I would have this on my Instagram any day.

Next up is a book that literally arrived about two minutes before I started filming this

so good timing.

This is Poppy Field by Michael Morpurgo and illustrated by Michael Foreman.

This is a book that was written in collaboration with the Royal British Legion, which means

that every sale of this, £1 of it goes towards the Royal British Legion.

And this is Michael Morpurgo writing the story of why the poppy is the UK's symbol of remembrance

for the soldiers who died in the war.

The illustrations in this are absolutely stunning.

Like they're all black and white, and then the only like actual colour is red because

poppies.

And I'm just very intrigued to see how Michael Morpurgo tells the story because he used to

be one of my favourite childhood authors so I'm really quite intrigued about this one.

This again will be featured as part of an Instagram tour, which will be uploaded once

this video is up so yeah.

I will link the photos for both of the instagram tours that I've mentioned down in the description

box so that you can head over and there will probably be a more coherent description of

this book in the caption of that photo.

So yeah.

I'll also probably put up photos of some close ups of the illustrations as well so yeah,

if you want to see - if you want to have a closer look at this book then be sure to go

and check that out.

Next up we have one of the most exciting pieces of book mail I have ever received in my life.

Because - are you ready?

Are you ready?

I don't think I;m even ready.

I have an ARC of The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon!

IT'S SO EXCITING!!

As you probably know, Samantha Shannon is probably one of my all-time favourite authors,

and this is literally a standalone epic fantasy by my favourite author ABOUT DRAGONS.

Can we just.

It's huge.

I think it's - yeah it's pretty much 800 pages.

It's OVER 800 pages.

So...UUUUGH I'M SO EXCITED FOR THIS.

I sent a request for this book and I didn't know I was getting it.

Like I didn't know they'd seen it nevermind accepted it so then it just turned up one

day and I nearly cried when I opened that package because I wasn't expecting it.

I am so excited for this book.

As always I am going to link the books that I mention in this video down in the description

box because I'm not going to give a synopsis for this because I specifically remember Samantha

Shannon saying it was really hard to summarise what happens in this book because there's

that many different storylines.

So I'm not even going to try, but there is a link to the Goodreads page down below.

But yeah, the front just says "A world divided.

A queendom without an heir.

An ancient enemy awakens."

I can't even get over how thrilled I am to have this.

I am slightly gutted though because it turned up like two days before I started university

again, which means I haven't been able to start reading it because it is so bloody huge.

And I don't know whether to start reading it and get through maybe a chapter or two

at a time and just like, read it really slowly, or to just wait until my christmas break.

But then that's really far away and I want to read it now.

Ohhh I don't know what to do.

Help me decide.

Leave your thoughts down in the comments because I don't make decisions.

But yeah.

In case you couldn't have guessed by now, very excited to have this book.

And thank you Bloomsbury for making my entire life.

I mean, all you can see is the huge brick of orange behind me now.

The final book that I was sent this month was actually sent to me as a surprise.

I had no idea this was coming but it was sent to me by Quirk Books and sounds exactly like

the sort of thing that I would read.

Which you will soon see because the rest of this video I'm dubbing "the feminist section"

because apparently I was in a very particular mood this month and wanted to read about feminism.

SO the rest of these books are nonfiction relating to feminism.

They're all quite similar.

But that's fine because I love them, so yeah.

Anyway.

The book that was sent to me by surprise is Girl Squads: 20 female friendships that changed

history by Sam Maggs and illustrated by Jen Woodall.

Doesn't need any more of an explanation really does it?

It's about girl squads and amazing female friendships because there's like this huge

misconception that women should be pitted against each other so when women are actually

friends, and good friends, they can literally change the world, which is the point of this

book.

I've just repeated the synopsis to you.

But on the back it has like a list of areas that it covers so there are artists, athletes,

doctors, divers, writers, rebels, warriors, women, friends.

So yeah.

It literally is just like a compilation of different stories of different people.

It's got some really stunning illustrations in it.

And if I can judge from the cover - wow what happened to the lighting?

But if I can judge from the cover itself, it looks like it's going to be quite diverse

as well which is fab.

And the illustrations actually carry on onto the actual cover as well, like the hardcover

not just the jacket.

So it is stunning and I am very excited to read this.

Literally what just happened to the sun like, did it just decide to go home for the day?

Oh wait it's coming back out.

We're getting there.

Yay that'll do!

Oh ok it's getting a bit bright now.

But I did buy the remaining three books and the first one is Feminists Don't Wear Pink

(and other lies) which is amazing women on what the F word means to them, curated by

Scarlett Curtis.

So this is basically a collection of short essays by famous women on different aspects

of feminism.

So we have people like Emma Watson, Zoe Sugg, Kiera Knightley, Lydia Wilson, Angela Lee,

Bromwyn Brenner, Evanna Lynch, Saoirse Ronan, and a lot of people that I've never heard

of before so I will be looking into the people as I read them.

I've just realised, I was looking at the contents page and like literally all the women are

listed on the back.

So I don't know if you can read that but if you can, that's all the women.

Maybe just pause the video and have a little look through.

I basically bought this because I saw on twitter that Penguin Books - which is the publisher

of this book - were set to do a collaboration with Topshop for this book.

And they set it all up, it was all nice and there was a nice stand in Topshop, and then

Topshop took it down 20 minutes later.

SO then on twitter there were people - including myself - wondering why this was happening,

asking Topshop for a statement, and when they DID release a statement, they basically made

up something about like, they had to prioritise the manufacturing process.

And it apparently in no way said anything about them being against feminism.

Which I think is a lie because if you are prioritising the manufacturing process and

the money over empowering your customers, because the main customer income from Topshop

is young women, so they might not have been readers originally and they might have picked

up a book like this.

And it could have made them feel empowered, or like, even just raise awareness of the

issue.

And it's just really weird that they agreed to it and then took it down 20 minutes later.

It just does not make sense at all to me.

And even if there was something like the manufacturing process or whatever it was that they said...it's

not like Topshop are going to go bust if something like this failed.

I mean they would've gotten a lot of positive publicity from it as well so it's just like...why

did they do it?

Why?

So yeah, I was tweeting about that.

I will link the tweets down in the description box if you want to go and have a look.

But basically Topshop kind of shat all over this book and I decided to buy it because

everyone was talking about it and I was like "you know what, I'm going to support that

instead" so...thanks Topshop for unwittingly advertising this to me because you obviously

didn't want to.

But then the next two books I actually got because there was a literature festival in

my city in October and I went to a couple of events, both of them for feminism and for

these two books.

The first one was Can We All Be Feminists? which is Seventeen Writers on intersectionality,

identity, and finding the right way forward for feminism.

Again, doesn't need more more of an explanation than that.

For some reason nonfiction feminist books are really good at explaining what they are

about in their title.

So thanks for that because it makes my job a lot easier.

But the person that we saw talk for this was Soofiya Andry, who writes the essay in this

called Deviant Bodies.

And I just found that fascinating, like she is such an interesting person to listen to

and I was very glad that I went.

She has signed her essay in this.

I'm not going to find - oh there it is!

She actually spelt my name wrong and then felt bad and scribbled it out, if it wants

to focus.

There we go!

Yeah she spelt my name wrong and then felt bad, and I was like no because that means

I've now got a story in it.

I can tell the story of the time when I met you and that happened.

But yeah.

Because I heard someone talk about it and it was really interesting, I had to buy the

book.

It was a given.

And then the final book, again, I went to an event for it because this is What Would

Boudicca Do? by E. Foley and B. Coates.

The two authors came in to talk about this book and this is a book that I'd seen around

a lot.

It says "everyday problems solved by history's most remarkable women".

I'd seen this book around a lot and it attracted my attention, so then when I saw that there

was an event for it I was just like I NEED to go!

I need to.

And I'm so glad that I did because it was incredible.

Ugh.

Again this is signed and...yeah.

It's just, I was so...excited to have this book afterwards that...ughhh I don't know.

It's just, words apparently allude me right now.

But yeah.

Also the cover on this is absolutely stunning.

I love it so much.

And just how grumpy Boudicca looks because honestly same.

One of my friends said I have the same eyebrows as her which makes me laugh.

Can you see the resemblance?

Can we just like, make her life-size?

Could I be Boudicca?

I even have the Starbucks cup, oh my god!

Give me a sword and a crown and I'll just like recreate this cover.

Does it work?

But yes!

Those were all the books that I have received and bought lately.

So it's very exciting times.

Like I am SO excited for every single one of these books - which, I mean, obviously

I am otherwise I wouldn't have accepted them or bought them.

But I just want to read them ALL right this very second and it's frustrating me so much

that I can't.

But it does mean that eventually, one day, I have a good choice of books to choose from.

Ugh my christmas break is going to be so hard to choose books for.

If I'm not writing essays, which I will be.

But hopefully I can squeeze a bit of reading in somewhere.

My heart feels so full now because I'm so excited about these books.

I hope you enjoyed the video!

Let me know if you've read any of the books that are out already or if you've added any

of them to your TBR.

I don't think there'll be another book haul until the new year because Christmas, so yeah.

Appreciate this one while it's here, woooo!

But yeah.

I hope you're havening - havening?

I can't talk.

I've been talking for that long that words don't exist anymore.

But I hope you're having a lovely day, and I shall see you next time with a new video.

Bye!

Son the more hope you expected, the more you become sad.

that's why I am saying you have to be satisfied in whatever you get.

Please sit I will bring snacks for you.

Hey, where is the father?

He has gone for walk.

you knew that father health is not well .

Even then you allowed him to go for a walk.

hey! Why did the father come alone?

why son! Wake up so late?

The day just took a little eye...

Father, Let's go home back...

son, I am going for a walk in a garden.

OK father you reach I will come be receiving you in a short time.

OK

'Hey Divakar Bhau why are you sitting here?

just like that

what happened friends? Why are you sitting like a disappointed? Everything is good at home?

Daughter Sudha where do I go in this age? Where live?

What should I do? Daughter except you all tell me who is mine?

Friends yesterday my daughter in law started quarreling & dropped me from the house.

What are you talking g about? Your son Suresh did not say anything?

Father you already know Sudha's nature? What can I do?

No friends, my son is priceless but that's just the case.

He comes into his wife influence! Is that anyway?

And you are saying your son is priceless?

You people know what my son Mahendra told me.

Father, I don't know, whether this world needs you or not.

But, in this house, our family seeks your guidance, love, and care. We need your advice on everything.

Dad, after mom died, you are now the only one we can rely on.

If you only lost your hope, then How would we survive?

Who will give us courage?

Dad, have you ever imagined who will be there for us after you?

Dad, you have to live. If not for yourself, then for us. You are necessary for us.

If my daughter in law stop complaining then my son Mahendra will be told her that

My father will not go out of the house. Father is not living with us but we are living with father.

If anyone willing to go out of home then you may go.

I already lost my mother. But I am not ready to lose my father now.

Your fortune is good. Friend but I am worried about ahead.

Now where do I do this age? What should I do? Now who is mine?

Hey! Why you losing your courage? How can your son lay out from house?

Come friend lets go to your home & lay out your son from your home, property is on your name?

No friend, he is my one & only son. From beginning itself if I buy something. I brought it by his name.

The house has also purchased by his name. Now what should I do friend?

Do not do anything until you find a way till then you stay at my home.

Come let's go don't sit like the. It looks bad.

No friend.. No one is so good to be there. I do not even want to be a burden on you!

what are you saying friend? Will a friend be a burden on a badge friend?

Suppose that this event would have come to me? So I become burden on you?

No friend, It will harm my son reputation in society.

People talk he has one and only son even the father is staying at his friend house.

if you will sit here. It will not harm

No friend I will stay away from them, yes... I will go for pilgrimage. Like this I have to live this much?

Hey what you guys are talking about?

Vibhavariben!!! You are here? I feel very sad for you when I come to know your children keep you at old age home.

Hey! Why you feel sad? Where we receive a argument from daughter in law & not get food on time.

It's better I sat in old age home happily.

Hey Mahendra your here?

Suresh? Seen you after long time, how's everyone at home?

Hope Divakar Kaka is fine?

What happen to him? He is Just enjoying his life. At this movement also he is sitting somewhere talking with his Friend.

OK Mahendra I am getting late. I have to go home and get ready for office.

I am going to pick up my father shall I drop u at your home?

Your son Suresh did not seem to get so vicious.

No... No... Suresh is good but this just the case.

Have fun friend. When we parents improved ourselves?

Your son layout you from your house because of that it was time for you to wander on the road even then you are taking his side ?

A father can afford four sons. But four children can't afford a father.

Brother it's a age of downfall

Come on to leave that happened. Don't bother my son what profit I should gain from this?

Divakar Just waits and watch..The condition of such an evil son will be worse.

The son who cannot afford his father. He is not a human being he is a devil.

Leave it.. In this case what was Suresh fault? It's just a case.

hey what do I say to you? I am sorry? You are a real man! Your son lay you out of your home even you are saying he is a gem!

Note my words such a interior boy will eventually get worse in condition.

The boy who does not care for his parents. His son will learn the same thing from his father.

Suresh but you watch how his son layout his father from his house.

Hey father, if you finished your talk with uncle, so shall we go home?

Son Mahendra, your father is a lucky person.. Because he has a son like you ..

No uncle my father is not just lucky... Uncle since I become prudent I saw my father.

I had never remembered my father went to temple & workship god. But I remember many people found god in him!

Someone is in trouble my father always helps them & stands for them.

He took care of my grandfather very well. When my grandfather was bedridden at that time

I saw from my eyes my father took care of my grandfather without any complain..

Hey Father many times I told you this this is a sweet is very harmfull to you

Doctor told to avoid sweet but even then your eating it.

Father, You didn't take medicine properly, why are you such careless,

please take care for yourself why are you doing such a things

I saw this from my childhood & I learn...

Myself never need to preach the word that I have to take care of my old parents.

So that I am taking care of them. I have observed his behavior & learn. Good morals merged in my blood.

Now you tell me how can I layout my spiritual preaching, good nature, good behavior father.

Uncle that's why I am saying my father is not lucky but he is facing the sweet results of his past life karma.

Really someone say true you will received as per you did.

That is what I am trying to ask him. Understand that my son is a million. But it's just the case.

Beta Divakar, where do we go in this age? Where live? What should we do? beta without you who is our?

leave it whatever happens let's go....

But where?

He is facing his karma results in present. For my bright future I have to improve my present.

My Bank balance is on my own name. Son Mahendra you go home. I will drop your father at home come let's go...

That day I realize after listening to me Divakar Kala was distracted.

But apart from the sad part the happiest part is Kaka realize the principle of karma.

He learns that if you wants a happy life then you have to do good karma & good nature in your life.

inspite of being cried and remember those persons who forget us

it's better to stay happy with those who are with us

When we accept the whole word as ours then don't need to ask

"who is Our?"

Spelling Patterns for Plural Nouns - Duration: 16:02.

In this video we're going to help you learn how to spell plural nouns.

Extra English Practice

So, in general, if you have a noun that you want to make plural in English,

all you do is add an S.

So I have one book or two books.

Yeah.

One pencil, two pencils.

One dog, two dogs.

That's easy.

Except English is never that easy!

Silly English!

So, we're gonna tell you a number of rules that will help with the exceptions.

So the first rule is words that end (before they're plurals) in S, X, Z, CH or SH.

In these cases, you add an E and an S.

So, for example, words like buses or watches or boxes or glasses.

These .... the -ES also adds an extra syllable in pronunciation.

That's right.

So box -- boxes, glass -- glasses.

The next rule has to do with words that end in the letter Y

If the word ends in a consonant + Y (like city or baby), then you will remove that Y,

change it to an I and add -es.

So, one city -- two cities.

One baby -- seven hundred babies.

[laughter]

I got tired of "two".

Nobody would be sleeping in a room with seven hundred babies.

But if the word ends in a vowel and a Y (like toy), we just add S.

So, toy -- toys, monkey -- monkeys, like this.

The next rule is if a word ends in F or FE.

In this case, you drop the F or the FE and you add VES.

So, for example, knife -- knives, life -- lives .

There are some exceptions to this rule, like everything.

The next rule is when a word ends in a letter O, and in this case, there are some very complex,

subtle rules,

but, in general, we add an S. But there are some common words that we add -ES to.

So usually it's an -S -- stereos, videos,

but some words, like potatoes and tomatoes, echoes, these words

we add an -ES.

You'll have to just learn these few words or look them up one by one.

So other than these rules there are a lot of nouns that just have an irregular plural

form,

so we're sorry, but you just have to learn those ones.

Some examples I'm sure you know already like child and children, or woman and women,

or some that don't change at all, like fish -- fish, so these ones you just learn as you

go along.

A couple other really common irregular plurals are tooth -- teeth, foot -- feet, mouse -- mice.

Alright, it's your turn!

Take a look at these words and change them to their plural forms.

Number one: blankets.

Number two: classes.

Three: countries.

Four: foxes.

Five: donkeys.

Six: dictionaries.

Seven: feet.

Eight: mice.

Nine: people.

Ten: phones.

Eleven: stereos

Twelve: students.

Thirteen: tomatoes.

Fourteen: watches.

Fifteen: wives

Okay, so Larissa and I are gonna play a game of Pictionary,

which means one of us will draw, and the other will try to guess what they're drawing.

But the trick is after we guess what it is, we have to figure out how to spell it in the

plural.

That's right.

Good luck!

Okay, number one...

Ohhh!

You're drawing babies?

Yeah!

That's cute!

Here we have a baby.

When we have words that end in a consonant + Y, we change the Y to an I and add -ES.

One baby, two babies.

Okay... something red... tomatoes?

They are tomatoes!

Holy cow, that was easy!

I feel like I should at least give it a little stem or something.

That was so quick.

These are very fancy tomatoes.

So if we have one of these, we'd call it a tomato,

but two -- this is one of the .. a little bit rare cases where after an O, we add -ES

A lot of the time we would just add an S, but with words like tomato, potato, we had

the -ES.

Swan?

Hmm, they do look a bit like swans.

Wait... it'll be clear..

Oh, I know, these are turkey.

Yeah, you got it!

These are big birds that we eat for Thanksgiving.

And because there's a vowel and a Y, we don't change it to I, we just add an S

Oh.. what is it?

I don't think I know!

Ohhh, I think maybe it's a big fluffy sheep!

It's a couple of sheep!

They are supposed to be.

I like it.

So this is a funny one because it's one of those irregular ones.

When we have one, we say one sheep.

And when we have two, we say two sheep.

Just the same!

Just the same.

Weird.

Super weird.

Okay, let's see if I can draw this in a way that makes sense...

Larissa, you have any idea?

I think I know..

I think it might be a grand piano

You got it!

Lovely.

We'll put some keys in.

Keys, yeah.

Ooo, can I also do keys?

Yeah, do that one, too!

So we have one piano, and two pianos.

We just add an S to that one,

and these are called keys.

One key, two keys.

Both of them just adding an S. Nice.

Alright, I'm gonna give you two for the price of one!

Oh, I love it!

Well, that looks like a couple of people.

Those are people.. and some little people..

and these little people.. otherwise known as children.

Children, good one.

When we have one, we say person.

If we have more than one, like two, we say people.

And then we could also say here -- one child (that's singular)

and then it's much longer if it's plural -- it's children.

Yeah, lovely.

They look like a cute little family!

They do.

How would you spell families (if we had more than one)?

Ohh, we should add that.

So, one is family, with a Y.

And because it ends in a consonant Y, you change that to into an IES -- families.

All sorts of irregular verbs -- errr, nouns here.

Nouns, these are nouns.

[laughter]

Cars!

They're sort of like cars.

Are they really big cars?

They're really big ones..

Are they buses?

You got it!

Ah ha.

One bus... words that end in S, Z, X, CH, and SH get -ES added.

One bus, two buses.

Nice.

Hmm...oh!

Is it a couple of leaves?

Yeah.

Looked like a water drop for a minute there.

I like it.

It's nice shapes.

So in this case we have one leaf, floating down off a tree..

and in the fall, like it is now, we see tons of leaves on the ground.

Yeah.

We get rid of the F and we add -VES.

Hmmmm, are you drawing some desks, Misha?

Yeah, desks...actually that wasn't the word I was thinking of..

Oh, okay.

What else you got?

Uhhhh...students?

Yeah!

But both of those work, write 'em down.

Alright, so we have one desk or many desks.

It's a nice regular word.

Same with students.

One student ... or in this case, three students.. we're just adding an S. Yeah, easy.

These are not tomatoes, I've already done tomatoes.

Yeah, we already did tomatoes, Larissa!

Watch this... oh, it's a couple of cherries!

Cherries!

Mm hmm.

Okay so cherries.... singular is this -- with a Y.

Before the Y is a consonant, so in that case, we turn it into an -IES.

Yep.

And we eat them and they're delicious.

I'm not sure if you know what this word is..

Misha, I think you know, but I mean everybody in general...

Oh, yeah.

This is something we play games with.

We call them dice,

and we usually use them in pairs, so we often only use that word -- dice,

which is the plural, but singular -- we call it one die.

Kinda awkward.

Yeah, it's weird, it's a weird word.

It's kind of a strange word even for English speakers.

Is it a mouth?

Yeah!

And in that mouth, are there some teeth?

There are!

One tooth.

I have a toothache because I need to brush my teeth.

Perfect.

Irregular noun.

Ok, let's see.

Those kind of look like teeth, too.

Ha.

I'm gonna give you this first.

Oh.

Maybe it'll help.

Ohhh, is that some water in a glass?

Yeah.

These are glasses.

Got it.

So, singular, we'd say glass.

Because there's an S... anytime we have S, Z, CH, SH, or X (I almost missed that one),

we add -ES, so glasses.

Two glasses of water.

Mm-hmm.

Okay.

Wedges! [laughter] I know, this one's a bit mysterious.

Oh, knives!

They're a couple of knives.

One is a knife.

Yeah.

With an F, we change that F to a V and add -ES, two knives.

Nice.

Dinner knives.

Dinner knives, yeah.

Okay, what do we got here?

Square... oh, I think that's a box.

It's a box.

So, singular, we say box.

And then remember this is one of that set of letters that means we add an -ES.

So X, S, SH, CH, Z --- -ES.

Box, boxes.

Ummm...

That looks like a rattle.. oh, yeah, you got it.

Okay.

Let me... let me draw one more.

Ohhh, you're drawing toys.

You got it!

Ah huh.

A block and a bear..

He's a weird-looking bear.. there you go.. better.

Pregnant bear.

So, one toy.

Here we have three toys.

Yeah.

Vowel + Y, we just add an S.

Oh, is that a book?

Yep!

It's a very severe book... very severely shaped, meant to be open books.

But those are butterfly books.

Butterfly books.

Book, books.

So singular... just like that.

And then this is a regular, easy one, you just add an S.

If they were butterflies... what would they be?

Oh, look at how cute those are.

So if they were butterflies...

Singular looks like this: butterfly.

And then because there's a consonant + Y, if we follow our rules, we'll end up with

butterflies.

Hmm, not sure... it's got buttons, it's a TV... no, your close...

Oh, it's a radio!

You got it.

Yeah, they are radios, that's right.

Radio ends in a vowel and an O, so we just need to add an S -- radios.

Great, great.

Thanks so much for watching.

Is HIIT Training Aerobic Or Anaerobic? (Best Exercise For Fitness, Health & Fitness) - Duration: 15:33.

Is HIIT training aerobic or anaerobic? Today we're going to explain it so that you can

set some good goals both for your fitness and your health.

Hey I'm Dr. Sten Ekberg with Wellness For Life and if you'd like to truly

master health by understanding how the body really works make sure that you

subscribe and hit that notification bell so that you don't miss anything. There's

a lot of confusion about training and aerobic and anaerobic, cortisol, blood

sugar... so we're gonna talk a little bit about this today so that you can set

some good goals and understand why you're doing it depending on what your

health and fitness goals are. So let's assume that you have a resting heart

rate of about 60 that's if you're in pretty good shape a lot of people are

anywhere from 60 up to 80 so if you can get it closer to 60 then you've got a

stronger heart and a little bit better oxygen utilization. So that's about

thirty percent of your maximum heart rate and from 60 up to about 120 is what

we call the aerobic range that means that your body is providing oxygen or

air at a sufficient pace to keep up with the exercise so because you're keeping

up you can keep doing it for hours this would be leisurely - a fast walk it

could be a bike ride something that you can keep up for hours and still not feel

totally beat the next day that's about 60% of maximum heart rate then from that

point up we're getting into the an aerobic that means without oxygen

meaning we can't breathe fast enough to completely satisfy the body's oxygen

need so we're falling a little bit behind we can't rely on fat burning and

using oxygen we have to rely on sugar and glycolysis and there's some other

videos I've done in the past where you can check that out so between a heart

rate of 120 to 160 or 60 to 80 percent approximately we're in the an aerobic

range now we're huffing puffing and we can keep it up not for

hours but minutes we can push it and do it for 20 30 40 minutes if we have

enough willpower but it's sort of painful and and we're totally beat

afterwards if we do that and then we get into what we call high-intensity

interval training this is the all-out that give it all you got

do-or-die kind of exercise and because it's it should be so intense you can

only keep it up for seconds and if you could keep it up for minutes then you're

really more in the anaerobic range you haven't really hit the zone of high

intensity where you get some of those specific benefits so your maximum heart

rate is going to vary a little bit and typically it'll probably be somewhere

between a hundred and sixty to 220 and that's because the maximum heart rate

goes down as we age everyone's a little different but typically you're gonna

find it to be roughly 220 minus your age so I am 54 years old so if I subtract my

age from that I should have a maximum heart rate of about 166 so when I really

push myself if I do some uphill sprints or something I can still get my heart

rate to about 175 so it's a ballpark number but it'll give you a pretty good

range of where you need to be and the 220 heart rate would be basically a

teenager so if you're 60 years old shoot for 160 if you're a teenager shoot for

200 220 and that means you're in within a few percent of your maximum heart rate

so I put a hundred-plus here because myself for example can get over a

hundred percent of my theoretical maximum heart rate but once in order to

get in to hit you want to push yourself to where you're very very close to that

maximum heart rate so let's look at what's happening in the body in these

different areas in these different stages so let's look at stress level how

much stress is it to the body and we we talk about cortisol general stress level

and how much does it break the body down because we want to realize that exercise

does not build you up exercise breaks you down

it's the recovery and the proper nutrition that builds you back up so you

can do the exercise again even better so with aerobic exercise when you're

just walking leisurely when you're on a bike ride in the park then it's a very

mild stress so you're not making much cortisol and there is not much breakdown

so there's not much need for recovery or rebuilding there's no challenge you

don't have to get better really to do the bike ride next time then as we get

up we go from mild to moderate cortisol and stress and breakdown to severe to

extreme and what this means is every one of these has some benefits because the

closer we get the more extreme we get the higher the stress level which breaks

us down and that's not a great thing but it is sort of a great thing because it's

the challenge to the body so it tells the body hey you got to really really

get your act together you got to grow stronger so that you can

handle this next time because if you do this on a regular basic basis the body

quickly gets the idea that this is going to happen again and we'd better get our

act together next we look at growth hormone and this is sort of related to

what I just mentioned growth hormone is a rebuilding hormone it's a rejuvenating

hormone it's extremely powerful for anti-aging so powerful that they often

give it as an as a drug but of course when they give it as a drug you

unbalance the body because you're pushing it in from the outside when you

make it on your own you always remain in balance in your

body so the growth hormone impact on aerobic is very low you're not

challenging your body much as we go up you get some and then you get more and

at the hit level now you're making as much as three to four hundred percent

the normal amount of growth hormone and this stays up for 48 to 72 hours it

degrades gradually so even doing a HIIT workout twice a week is gonna keep you

at a pretty high level of growth hormone in a sustained way fitness now this

depends on what you're after now we're talking more about what's your goal the

fitness impact on aerobic is pretty low with anaerobic you get more and more and

once you get into hit you have a lot of fitness impact so now we have to look at

what is your goal I was an Olympic decathlete so my goal was extremely

event specific at a very very high level so that meant I had to practice at the

level and in the same way that I was going to compete because if you're if

you're a sprinter and you're gonna run the hundred meters and it's gonna last

10 seconds and you're gonna be all out you're gonna be on a hundred percent you

can't practice at 70 percent and then believe that the body is ready to go to

a hundred same thing if you're a tennis player or a rower or a mountain biker or

a triathlete you have to do some base training but then you have to gear it

toward your specific goal now let's look at what some different goals might be so

obviously if your goal is fitness if you are a triathlete then you got to figure

out how to balance this in a way to fit your event if you're a triathlete you're

gonna spend a lot of time right around the lower end of an aerobic because

you're going to be going for six seven eight hours so you can't be

up in here because you couldn't sustain it

but you also can't be down here because then you're not really getting the

fitness level that you need but let's just say someone's goal is health you

don't have any particular not going to compete you're not gonna race you just

want to be moderately fit you want to be healthy you want to maximize the growth

hormone and the all these different variables let's say it and now it also

depends on how old you are so if you're 20 or 50 or 80 years old you're probably

going to have a little bit different goals but let's say you're 20 years old

and your goal is just to be healthy then I would suggest and these are just rough

numbers it's not like I researched this and said this is exactly what you need

to do for this situation but it'll give you an idea I think of where how you can

kind of fit this together so if you're 20 years old then you probably just want

to do somewhere between 60 and 90 percent of your training in the aerobic

range meaning you're breathing slowly you're breathing fully but steadily but

you're not panting and panicking and this is tricky for a lot of people

because they think training is pain they think they have no pain no gain that

they have to hurt in order to get something out of it and that's not true

because at this level you have still doubled your heart rate you have more

than doubled your circulation because each heartbeat pumps more blood

so you're tripled or quadrupled your circulation your drainage your detox

your oxygenation of tissues all of these things are tremendously increased even

at a moderate level long before you actually feel pain or discomfort so if

you're just looking for health then do the vast majority of your time in

training in the arabic range meaning 120 or less in heartrate then you probably

want to do some if you enjoy it if you want like to

Tenace if you like to do spin classes if you like to do aerobics then do some of

that if you enjoy it do some because it's going to get you some fitness it's

moderately stressful and again this depends on how healthy you are to start

with if you're already a little bit fragile then you probably don't want to

get into this range at all if you're just trying to get started you might

spend as much as a hundred percent of your time in in this range and then I

would encourage you to still do a little bit of high-intensity training even if

you do ninety five percent down here and you do nothing here do a little bit of

high-intensity but this also has to do with how fit you

are how healthy are you if you have pain if you have knee pain or back pain or

Achilles pain you're not going to be able to do sprints so you have to adapt

it to what you're capable of doing something that's relatively safe would

be a stationary bike for example you sit down and you pedal as hard as you can

for seconds not minutes or hours thirty seconds you take a few seconds ten 20

second break you go all out again 30 seconds and you just do that until

you get your heart rate up and you do this no more than once or twice a week

if you're if you're young and fit you might do it a little bit more you might

want to do it three or four even five times if it's event-specific but the

older you get and the less event-specific you are you probably

don't want to do this more than once or twice a week for just a few minutes just

long enough to get your heart rate into that 95 to 100 percent range and now you

are dramatically increasing your growth hormone your anti-aging circumstances

and so forth so if you're 50 you might want to go somewhere between 70 to 95

percent in the aerobic range if you enjoy it do a little bit of anaerobic

and do a little bit of high intensity and even if you're 80

years old if you can you might do as anywhere from 80 to as much as a hundred

percent in this range you may do something here if you're really youthful

80 year old and you like playing tennis keep doing that or if you have some

specific hobby and do what you can if you're if you're not fit enough if you

have pain or something keeping you from it then your high intensity is going to

be zero which holds true for the 50 year olds as well but if you can try to do at

least once a week maybe twice a little bit of high intensity because now you

are challenging your body you're telling your body hey we need some growth

hormone we need something to build up the body so that it can get better

so you can get stronger so you can have more vitality and deal with this stress

tomorrow because it is very stressful that's why even though the tremendous

benefits we want to keep this to a minimum very very short duration not

every day because this is low low stress you can do as much as you like do it for

hours if you enjoy it and in the anaerobic range then you do as much as

you enjoy but don't let it become most of the training that you do because now

you're just stressing your body without really getting the health or fitness

benefits so is hit training Arabic or anaerobic well it's on the spectrum so

hit is an extreme version of anaerobic stay tuned to our channel so you can

learn more about health make sure you subscribe and hit that notification and

share this video with as many people as you can because there's a lot of people

The day just took a little eye...

Father, Let's go home back...

How to Use McWane Ductile's Field Rounding Kit - Duration: 4:15.

With the use of more modern manufacturing techniques out-of-round

pipe is a rarity these days but every once in a while in the field you run

into a piece that's just not quite round enough. In today's video we're going to

show you how to make that round again with a McWane Rounding Kit.

I'm Steve Waryas McWane Ductile representative for Oklahoma, Arkansas, and North Texas.

Our quality control checks in the plant keep out of round pipe from getting out

in the field, but every once in a while when you've got to cut a piece it may be

too oval for you to put into a fitting, a valve, or another bell of pipe. Our rounding

kit will help get that oval piece of pipe back to being round again.

The purpose of this video is to show how to use the McWane Ductile rounded kit we

were using a factory spigot in the demonstration because it was readily

available this would not be a common occurrence in the field.

Most rounding kits work on the inside of the pipe the McWane rounding kit works on the

exterior of the pipe. And what it does with our jack, chain, and slight

modification we're able to jack the pipe from being oval to round in the field in

a safe and convenient manner. Each piece of pipe needs to be considered differently

on how its rounded. The size of the pipe, the severity of the ovality,

as well as the thickness of the pipe all play a part in how much force you need to make

it round again. Never use excessive force or strain on this chain or jack

because that could be a safety issue for you or other employees in the vicinity.

When measuring always take several measurements is seen here and use the

min/max charts so you can see if your pipe is within tolerances.

Those charts can be found in our pipe rounding brochure, on our website, as well as the

instructions that come with a kit.

So our high point is here

and that's what you want to do you want to have that high point at the vertical or near vertical

point. You also want to make sure you place your Jack far enough back so you

can still work on the end of pipe when it's finally rounded, but you also want

to be close enough that you can affect the pipe when you're trying to round it.

Once you have it set in place

you'll take your chain and you'll set it

with some with mild tension to hold it in place.

And once you've got that done

you're ready to start jacking. and you want to do your jacking from behind. when

When you're back here you have easy access to the jack and you still have good

visibility of the end of the pipe so you can put your fitting on or your valve on.

Now that we've got everything in place let's get rounding.

First thing you want to do if you want to jack some tension onto your chain.

Once you get

that tension on there,

it doesn't take much. once you have used the kits around your

Once you have used the kit to round your

pipe you can remeasure at your same spots from before, or you can use the gland

from your fitting or valve to check for ovality.

Then you want to go and assemble

your fitting or your valve on the end.

You want to keep the tension on the jack,

you want to make sure your joints are lubed just like they normally are.

Once you have everything attached and all your tee head bolts are tight

you can release the tension on the jack. Once you do that the pipe will relax but

but it will still function function like a normal piece of pipe.

Like we said

pipe being out of round is a rarity you can lay thousands of feet of pipe and never

have this problem, but now you know a safe and convenient way to make your out

of round pipe round again with a McWane rounding kit.

The Difficult Road To Peace 1919 I THE GREAT WAR Epilogue 2 - Duration: 11:17.

The war is over, and the process of writing the peace treaties begins, but this process

is fraught with peril, for the war was fought on a scale never before seen in human history,

and those treaties - for better or for worse - would have effects that would not only color

the world of 100 years ago, but even our world today.

I'm Indy Neidell; welcome to a Great War Epilogue Special.

Immediately after the war ended, many soldiers wondered what they would do now - being a

soldier was a job, and a routine, it gave a sense of purpose.

But for many non-soldiers liberation was the be all and end all.

Look at Belgium.

95% of the country had been occupied, it was stripped of its resources and its industry,

and 120,000 Belgians had been deported to be workers in Germany.

And those that remained certainly had no real civil liberties during occupation.

So when the Belgian army was advancing in October 1918, they weren't just freeing

their land, they were going home - for the first time since 1914.

So while many people on both, or all, sides began to really wonder what the purpose of

the war was, the Belgians didn't.

And the French people whose land was occupied for over four years?

They didn't either.

But you gotta think, those Belgians and French didn't just want land back, they wanted

revenge, and they wanted security.

And this they - and the world to some extent - expected from the peace settlements.

The Paris Peace Conference lasted from January 1919 to January 1920, and produced five peace

treaties.

The Treaty of Versailles with Germany, signed June 28, 1919.

The Treaty of Saint-Germain with Austria, signed September 10, 1919.

The Treaty of Neuilly with Bulgaria, signed November 27, 1919.

The Treaty of Trianon with Hungary, signed June 4, 1920.

The Treaty of Sevres with Turkey, signed August 10, 1920.

David Stevenson writes, "The peace treaties were the pre-eminent political legacy of the

conflict.

The struggle to enforce them was the central issue in postwar international politics."

There was no precedent for the scale or the complexity of the process of the peace conference,

and what they did was pretty much just made up as they went along.

All the Allies attended the sessions, but the actual business was conducted initially

by the Council of Ten- the American, British, French, Italian, and Japanese heads of state

and foreign ministers.

But US President Wilson and British PM David Lloyd George left for extended stays at home,

and French PM Georges Clemenceau was temporarily out of action because of an assassination

attempt, and by the time they got it back together, those three had daily meetings with

Italian Prime Minister Vittorio Orlando as the Council of Four.

They presented a treaty to Germany May 7th.

The senior German delegate to Versailles was shocked.

His summary was this: "Germany renounces its existence."

Germany gave up 13% of its territory and 10% of its population.

The ability of Germany to wage war on land, at sea, or in the skies had already been eliminated

by the armistice.

In fact, the German fleet was now at Scapa Flow where the majority of lit was scuttled

by the commanders in June to prevent it being divided among the Allies.

What had been Austria-Hungary was now officially ripped apart into a variety of nations, but

even the new Republic of German-Austria and Hungary themselves were very small.

Hungary was now landlocked and just 28% its former size.

Bulgaria also had to give up land, but not nearly as much.

Army sizes were restricted for all of them.

Anyhow, they had to pay reparations.

There's been a lot of talk about these, particularly the German ones and their fairness

or unfairness, so I want to look at that for a minute.

It wasn't really the amount that mattered so much.

Heck, in the end Germany ended up paying less than the French had in 1871 after a far shorter

war fought on French soil.

Okay, there are those who argue that that was a cause of the global depression that

hit in 1873, but I digress.

Jumping ahead for a second, Germany suffered rampant inflation in the early 1920s, to the

point where literally your entire life savings could maybe buy a loaf of bread.

Well, the Allies did not accept reparation payments in worthless inflated German currency

and wanted something backed in gold.

Germany asked for a moratorium on payments just until they could get their economy sorted

out.

Britain said okay, France refused.

Germany did soon sort out the economy and the mark to a good extent, but by then the

damage was done- the unfairness of the reparations would be a rallying call in Germany in the

20s and 30s, particularly by Hitler and the Nazis.

What really mattered in 1919 was the rhetoric that came with the treaties.

Many saw the terms as too harsh, many not harsh enough, and there was a huge outcry

over article 231.

This was the "war guilt" clause in the treaties- each central power had to admit

that it was responsible for the war.

The reason for this was to justify reparations- if it's your fault you have to pay.

Of course there was controversy over the general terms.

There were two of Wilson's babies really at play here.

One was national self-determination.

Every national "race" should have its own lands.

Considering that the US was a nation made up mainly of immigrants, though, Wilson's

stance against multi-ethnic empires or nations was pretty inconsistent, but in practical

reality, the borders drawn for these new nations caused 30 million Europeans to end up on the

"wrong" side of their national border.

Again, that would have a huge effect on Europe from the very beginning.

But Wilson's other big idea, a League of Nations, would sort all that stuff out.

That's what it would do- take care of international disputes and issues.

Looking back from nearly 100 years later, it was a failure.

Some of it you could have seen coming, I mean, how do you clearly draw ethnic divisions in

the Balkans?

Some of it was just bad faith negotiations- Italy joined the war and fought for 3.5 years

after being promised certain territory; how do you think they felt when those agreements

were not honored in 1919?

And Japan wanted a clause on racial equality inserted in the League's Covenant so that

the League of Nations would treat the citizens of each other's nations on an equal basis.

How do you think they felt when that was refused?

And yet, on the other hand, Japan's claim to Shandong in China was recognized, though

China was also part of the Entente and what was that about national self-determination

again?

That racial equality clause, by the way, was approved by 11 of 16 countries, Britain and

American abstained, and Wilson said if it wasn't unanimous it was out.

Opposition to the clause was spearheaded by Australian PM Billy Hughes, but Lloyd George

and Wilson kind of just let him run.

"The Allies failure at Versailles was a failure of resolve in implementing its terms.

There was no inevitable link between it and the outbreak of the Second World War 20 years

later.

The reality was that, given the enormity of the task that confronted the victors, they

drew up a settlement which promised far more than it proved able to deliver in practice."

Thing is, the United States never ratified the peace treaties and never joined the League

of Nations.

There was never enough support for a 2/3 majority in the Senate, so the League, Wilson's baby,

was hamstrung from the beginning.

The treaty with Turkey was never ratified by anyone, let alone enforced.

Mustafa Kemal and the Turkish nationalist movement had created a state that was deemed

to be NOT a successor state to the Ottoman Empire, and thus not to be blamed or punished

for the war.

But back to Germany and the Treaty of Versailles.

It was pretty clear straight off that the Germans weren't going to voluntarily comply

with the treaty.

So the Allies had the prospect facing them of continuing military occupation or enforcement,

at a time when their soldiers just desperately wanted to go home and get on with their lives.

I agree with that quote from a minute ago and don't think it's really true that

the treaties and the armistices made a second world war inevitable.

There could have been a reconciliation with Germany under the terms and Germany could

have continued to have been kept militarily powerless, but the biggest problem facing

the allies after the treaties was the same as before- their disunity.

Heck, Russia was unapproachable since the Allies had bet and lost on the Whites winning

the Russian Civil War, Italy and Japan became unapproachable over time, and the other big

three stopped cooperating with each other since they had different long term goals.

I mean, Britain had gotten pretty much everything she wanted from the treaties, if Italy or

the US or whoever were unhappy, well... okay.

I think what Clemenceau told the French Parliament is pretty true, "The treaty will be what

you make of it."

And what we made of it, and how we perceived the war, has changed again and again over

time.

Think of War Memorials- when they're built certainly reflects the prevailing attitude.

Germany's biggest WW1 memorial was built at Tannenberg in 1927; that was to commemorate

a great victory, not guilt or sacrifice.

And the literature?

"In 1929 Erich Maria Remarque published All Quiet on the Western Front...

Within a year Remarque's book was translated into 28 languages, sold nearly 4 million copies,

and became an Academy Award winning film.

And yet it was less about the war than the problems of a generation unable to reintegrate

itself with postwar society...

Its message was one of shattered illusions..."

But it was not just a world of shattered illusions, it was a shattered world.

And as to what followed, for

better or worse.

The U.S. Is Tear Gassing Toddlers At The Border - Duration: 4:49.

Over the weekend, agents for the US Customs and border patrol began shooting canisters

of tear gas from the United States border into Mexico, targeting women, children, toddlers,

infants, and everyone else in those areas.

A lot of the right wing responses that we have seen from this is that it's not the women

and children.

Those are very few in that massive crowd.

Most of this is angry men coming to the United States because they hate President Trump and

they hate the United States.

So they're coming here according to right wingers on, uh, social media.

Um, first of all, no truth to that whatsoever.

You can see the pictures for yourself.

We've all seen them.

They've been going around social media.

They've been shown on the corporate media.

We see children screaming

after getting tear gassed by US Customs and border patrol agents.

There's no denying what's happening.

The evidence is there.

The pictures are there.

We know what the United States is doing and it's borderline a war crime to be using these

chemical agents against a civilian population.

I mean hell, even if we were at war, it would be illegal to use these under the Geneva protocols,

but that hasn't stopped our border agents from shooting these things at women and children.

I mean, you know, you think of the picture, the little girl, they're screaming, she doesn't

even have shoes on.

She doesn't even have pants on.

The mom is wearing what is obviously one of the child's shirts because they don't even

have enough clothing and we're tear gassing them.

In my lifetime, 35 years, I've never seen anything like this from the United States

on our own soil.

I know we've committed some horrible atrocities overseas.

I've seen the photographs from Abu Ghraib and all the torture that went on there, but

I never thought I'd be in a situation where I would see it come home, but it has.

We have in my lifetime, and I know things have been worse in this country, but we've

hit a rock bottom.

We have not been this low as a country since I was born.

We haven't been this low as a country since segregation or slavery, but that's where we're

at right now.

We are gassing children.

Trump has closed the border illegally.

By the way.

He does not have the authority to do that and we're committing war crimes were committing

crimes against humanity.

These are the kinds of things that if somebody else was doing this in another country, we

wouldn't hesitate to go invade them.

I mean, it wasn't.

One of the big things with Saddam Hussein was that he was using chemical weapons against

his own people and here we are using chemical weapons because that is what tear gas is classified

as.

We're using chemical weapons against children who are legally seeking asylum.

They have not done anything illegal.

Now, according to some of the border patrol agents, they were throwing a quote project

tiles.

So you think that a, a child, you know, even a teenager thrown a couple rocks are a few

sticks.

I mean, that's a reason to gas them and burned their lungs and burn their eyes and mouths

and noses and everything else because you got hit when you're in full riot gear with

a small rock.

This is insanity.

This is a police state and this is the lowest that I've ever seen this country hit in my

lifetime and honest to God.

I don't know if there's any coming back from this, the way the right wingers are defending.

This tells me that this is not going to stop.

Somebody needs to be held accountable for this and not the just the people on the ground

shooting these canisters.

Yes, they should be tried for war crimes and they absolutely could be under the Geneva

protocols.

Again, we signed into that and they're still doing it.

Any soldier that participates in that, even if they're just following orders, is guilty,

but so are all of the ones at the top who made the decisions.

There needs to be investigations, there needs to be prison sentences, and we need to show

the rest of the world that we're not as gross and dirty and deplorable as we're coming across

in these recent media reports.

camel camel camel .com and when the price hits back number that you want it

will alert you ok the third way is something I actually learned in my

marketing class was just really tricky way that Amazon and other online

retailers like to trick you if you go to purchase something in this game your

shopping cart and then you abandon the shopping cart very quickly have you

ever noticed that sometimes they'll send you a new smell reminding you that you

have something in the shopping cart and you didn't buy it maybe they'll offer

you a coupon or give you a discount this is a really good way you can take

advantage of these marketing techniques to save a little money this is called

shopping cart abandonment and there's a very high percent of people that do this

so what companies like to do if you like to offer a discount or coupons you

finish the order so something you're already gonna purchase if you just

abandon the car and wait a few more days you might actually receive a coupon a

lot of companies do this and you'll notice this if you start abandoning your

shopping cart okay the fourth way is giving the cash rebate for already

shopping on Amazon so if you haven't already heard about eBay and mister

rebates I think it's called these are cash back websites now if you're already

gonna buy on Amazon you can go through this website buy what you're already

gonna buy and they're gonna give you a percentage back to you in cash Amazon on

ebay.com is up to five percent so if you haven't

already signed up with him I have a link in the description and if you sign up it

would really help me out my fifth way you can save money on Amazon is buying

products that are in a color that are not as desirable so not every product

this would be an option but there's a lot of things that cost more just

because of the color of it for example if you're gonna buy a high waisted bikini

and black everyone likes black so maybe it'll cost more but if you decide to get

it in yellow it might save you five extra dollars so check out these options

when you're buying some things where you have color options to see if you can

save money but if the color isn't that important to you it could be like

he's way too safe much this fixed way you can save money on Amazon is getting

their prime Amazon store card it is a credit card but it's only able to be

used on the Amazon website and you get to say 5% on anything in purchase so I

don't recommend this if you're just bad with credit cards in general but if

you're good with cards and credit this could be a really easy way to save by

percent on everything you buy the seventh way you can save money on Amazon

is sharing your Prime account with another adult so if you have someone

else that you can share your account with you can save each other money so

let's say like it's 99 dollars a year for the prime account now it's 50 if you

have two people on it they don't have to pay for it you don't have to anymore so

you can save money by doing it you can always sign up with one address but it

looks like your best friend or or someone that you you know aren't really

close with you guys can just to share the address and then pick up your stuff

so Prime membership at half the price oh hey number eight is a lot of people

don't know this but if you ever buy something on your private count and then

two day free shipping doesn't get there in two days you can actually get a month

free of your prime account so if you buy something let's say Billy's bicycles if

you buy Billy's bicycle and it gets there in three days instead of two you

can just contact customer service and tell them that it got there late and

they will actually give you a month three prime okay so if there's any

students watching this you can actually get a free student Prime account which

doesn't have all the benefits of a normal criminal but you know it does

have its benefits if you want to get all of the benefits of the full prime

account you can actually get in a 50% discount if you have an email that is

dot e-d-u so you don't even have to be a student anymore but if you can still

access that edu account you can get a student connect account for free or you

can get it at 50% off my tenth hack is transferring your leftover Visa gift

cards to your Amazon gift cards a lot of people don't know that you can

actually take advantage of the extra leftovers your Visa gift cards and put

it onto your it what's on big card you know how you get these Visa gift cards

for your birthday or for Christmas but when you finish them and maybe you have

like a dollar left or $0.50 and you can't do anything with it you can

actually take those balances and put it on your Amazon and gift card so if you

have a bunch add it up you might be able to actually buy something on Amazon

instead of having wasted cards that only have like 60 cents on it a dollar two

dollars on it the minimal amount for transferring from the visa to the Amazon

gift card is 15 cents so you do have to have at least 15 cents but if you have

at least 15 cents then you can transfer it to your Amazon gift card okay my 11

pack is if you prime an Amazon account you're actually legible to get a free

book every single month to the Kindle lending library if you already paid $10

a month or Kindle unlimited you already have access to all these books but if

you're just a Prime membership without paying any more you're allowed to get a

free book every single month okay moms out there Amazon moms like twelfth

little Amazon hack if you are expecting if you're about to have a child within

the next two months and you're already an Amazon Prime member you can save 15%

on baby products that you need as a new mother you're only legible within the

firm the last two months of your pregnancy so you have to be around like

seven months pregnant honestly I don't really know how you get through that but

you can get 20% off on diapers you can get exclusive offers that are only

available to Amazon moms coupons and a $10 credit when you sign up by the

Amazon okay so I don't know if you're like or

I'm just like a super extra but I have all of my Dropbox free accounts maxed

out Google Photos maxed out but did you know that on Amazon they have their own

cloud where you can store your photos and videos for free you do have to be an

Amazon Prime member already but if you are already then this is a great way to

have even more storage for free online my 14th hack is by taking advantage of

Anselm's Instant Video it's kind of like the Netflix of Amazon so they have their

own series that they're doing and it's a hundred percent free if you already are

a private member my 15 hack is amazon coupons do you know Amazon has their own

coupon section where you can literally get Amazon coupons and use it on Amazon

in save money instantly a lot of these products are things that you commonly

buy already but I must say it's only gonna save you money if they're things

you already buy if you're just buying things because there was a coupon you're

not saving money but if the things you are buy then this could be a really easy

way to save hundreds dollars on my 16th way is an interesting way that I kind of

stole from being an influencer but there are websites like vipon ripple

influencer and snag a shout that pretty much will give you discounted items for

review so literally legally the rules of Amazon you can't ask for a positive

review so they can't ask you to give a positive review but they can give you a

discount an item for a review it can be negative neutral or positive it doesn't

matter but let's say you want to buy Billy a bicycle and on one of these

websites the three that I just listed on one of these websites you see a bicycle

that is only $40 it's usually 200 so they'll send you this bike for $40 what

was that a deep discount and you leave a review for them it doesn't have to be

positive like I said they can't force you to write a positive review you

should still be honest in your ear this is a really great way that you can

get discounted products another way that you will not find anywhere else but I

have done this before and I've gotten three things by doing this so is

contacting the sellers on Amazon that do not have any stars so if they have not

have any reviews yet you can contact them and say hey I would like to try

your product I said you do not have any reviews would you be interesting in

sending me a product for free or at a discount for our review once again you

cannot promise a positive review because you should be honest if you don't want

the product don't know how much review a lot of people don't reply to you but

you'd be surprised how many people do another little tip trick is that on Amazon

you can publicly put your email address so sellers can actually contact you if

they're ever sending out products Amazon customers if you have up your email

public they can easily contact you my seventeenth way is using Amazon's

trade in program to get paid in gift cards or things you don't want anymore

in the past I have used Gazelle to sell my old phones and they give you pretty much

nothing like $10 or $20 so amazon has the same program or you can give them

your broken phone or phones you don't use anymore and they will give you money in

a Amazon gift card that you can use it to obviously buy things my 18 trick is

using it a Chrome extension to find out if Amazon prices is actually the

cheapest on the internet or not so what this Chrome extension does it to browse

all of Amazon stores to give you the cheapest price but not only do they scan

Amazon stores but they also scan other online retailers to see who has the

cheapest price so you can buy on that website because a lot of times

Enza is not the cheapest okay I don't know my camera just turned off so lost

some of my footage but anyways we're gonna just keep it moving

so my eighteenth way to save money on Amazon is through Amazon warehouse

Amazon warehouse is where you can buy things that people decide they don't

want anymore and they return it to Amazon so for example if you decided to

buy Billy a camera because you thought he would be a youtuber but Billy didn't

like the camera and he wants to return it and so instead you bought Billy a

bicycle so you can actually buy this camera and

get out of deep discount so let's check this theory now and see if it works so

let's take a look at the camera Canon Powershot SX 420 okay normally on Amazon

we can see that normally retails for $229 some are $244 another ones $249 ok

great now let's head over to Amazon warehouse let's go into the camera

section which we can see is 20% off on cameras that are returned let's see what

we have ok look we have a Canon Powershot SX 420 for a hundred and fifty

dollars so for so you can save a hundred dollars just because someone returned it

semi used so maybe you might be thinking buying semi used products is not your

thing because it can be broken or scratched you still have a 60 day window

to return it and get a refund if it is broken or scratched or it's just

something you decided you just don't want another great way to get discounts

on Amazon is through Amazon outlet they have a lot of parts that have

discontinued or out of season and they're not going to restock the product

so if you can find some pre discounted products they're my 20th way and my last

way is not really gonna save your money but it's gonna do really great things

for the community so with Amazon's smile anything you purchase through Amazon

smile which is pretty much the exact same as amazon.com but all of your the

proceeds they take like a half a percent of what you purchase and they send it to

the charity of your choice so if you want to buy Billy a bicycle so if you're

gonna spend $200 on Billy's bicycle then half a percent of those proceeds are

gonna go to a charity that you like so I'm currently donating my proceeds to

the organization that protects animals like that you can do a lot of other ones

so I really like this program because instead of forking out extra money to

donate which you know I probably should be doing anyways but it's already

something I'm gonna buy anyways and now the big company is gonna be forking out

the money putting their money into the

organization that you choose it's a really great way to give back to your

community it doesn't cost any more money and then using Amazon comm so you might

as well just do it you might as well why not so now it's your turn

have you used any of these tactics to save you some money on Amazon and what

other ways do you'd like to save money on Amazon I would love to know if you

haven't or subscribe to my channel you should really think about it because we

talked about ways to save money and make money every single Monday don't forget

to give me a like if you found some value in this video and share this

please with anyone that you think would also find some value and to save them

some money this holiday season okay I will see you next Monday bye

Mysterious Object in our Galaxy - Milky Way Mystery - Duration: 5:28.

There is an extremely mysterious object situated In the center of our galaxy, the Milky Way.

It's an incredible amount of matter, probably related to the supermassive black hole in

the center of our galaxy.

Could it be a cosmic string?

An extremely massive object in the form of a super-thin thread?

Now, for the first time, it was possible to take a high-resolution picture.

We've gathered all the important facts about this mysterious object, what it might be and

how it might bring dark matter into question, once again!

Get your science fix right here on Clixoom science & fiction a warm welcome.

It was the astronomer Farhad Yusef-Zadeh from Chicago who discovered the unusual matter

accumulation in the center of the Milky Way in 2016.

A filament - is what we call large coherent structures in the universe.

"Filum" is Latin and means thread, and these matter accumulations are actually made up

of thread-like connections.

It is probably 2.3 light-years long and curves around the black hole called Sagittarius A*

(Sgr A *) in the center of the galaxy.

With the help of a new method, a high-resolution picture of this object could be taken for

the first time.

"The photo shows us that the filament must emerge from the black hole," said one of the

researchers involved, Mark Morris from the University of California.

But how did it actually happen?

Already, there are three theories about this.

According to the first idea, the filament could be caused by super-fast particles.

These are probably thrown out of the black hole.

Because when gas gets into the black hole, a vertical, magnetic field in cylindrical

form can arise, which rotates.

In this cylinder, the accelerated particles produce radiation.

They rotate around the magnetic field lines and move away from the black hole.

For astronomers, this scenario would mean that the magnetic field in such an environment

is not chaotic but even.

The second theory is even more exciting: The filament could also be a cosmic string.

So an extremely thin object with mass and electrical charge.

So far this is a theoretical construct - a string could not be discovered before today.

But in theoretical physics one assumes that such cosmic strings exist and move in the

direction of a galactic center.

As soon as it feeds on the event horizon, it could be devoured by the black hole!

So if it's really a string, that's the very first discovery of a string ever - wow!

Such a string is an absolutely insane object.

It would have a diameter that makes it almost one-dimensional.

The most trillic part of the smallest atom we know of, the hydrogen atom.

And its weight would be exorbitant.

At a length of six kilometers, such a string would weigh as much as the earth.

At a length of 2.3 light years, it would be about 4.7 million solar masses.

Wait, 4.7 million solar masses?

This is even more than our central black hole Sagittarius A* should have, namely 4 million

solar masses.

This is really crazy.

And once again, I want to remind you that the dark matter particles have still not been

found, and of course, such extreme masses might again help to find the missing mass

elsewhere.

Madness!

According to the third theory, the arrangement and position of the filament to the black

hole could also be a cosmic coincidence.

Accordingly, there would be no connection.

Then it would be "just" a filament like any other in the galaxy.

But let's be honest: such a coincidence is really unlikely.

I think it's all incredibly exciting!

Let us assume that such filaments emanate from the central holes in galaxies.

That would really be an indication for me that the previous Dark Matter theory, which

is one that has not yet been confirmed, is actually a mistake.

Very exciting, too: These cosmic strings could actually have something to do with string

theory.

In 2002 they were actually theoretically predicted.

At the end of the formation of our four space-time dimensions, they would arise in an intergalactic

scale.

Wow.

That is really crazy!

Now I'm really curious if further insights can be gained.

In theory, the string would have to radiate gravitational waves.

And it would have to distort the background radiation.

The discovery of the filament certainly puts researchers worldwide in suspense.

One of Cambridge's researchers, Jun-Hui Zhao, said: "Part of the thrill of science is to

stumble upon a mystery that is not easy to solve, we have no answer, but the road to

it is intriguing."

Heat a wide, non-stick skillet over a medium-high heat.

First we've gotta puff the quinoa.

If it pops within a few seconds,

If not, let it heat a bit more.

Toss out the test quinoa.

Once it's ready, sprinkle enough quinoa over the skillet

to coat in a single layer, but don't overcrowd.

Once it begins to pop,

lift and shake the skillet off the heat.

Pour into a bowl.

Repeat until you have enough quinoa for the recipe.

For the bark, melt chocolate in a bowl over a double boiler,

Feel free to use any chocolate you like.

Dark, milk, white, sugar free, or vegan varieties

all work fine.

Remove from the heat and fold in your puffed quinoa.

How To Release Yourself from the Scapegoat Child Role - Duration: 7:24.

For thousands of years the Scapegoat Role has been one thing, to be blamed.

But those of us who grew up in a scapegoat role that means we have an idea that

we're wrong and that we should be ashamed. This video is about

understanding how that came about, what we need to do to change it and

ultimately to find those possibilities and potentials in life that we're all

looking for. My name is Mark and this is The Emotional Alchemist. Whatever situation

we grew up in we were unable to rationalize our thoughts until about the

age of 8. That means that any messages or dysfunctional behaviors that I learned,

that we learned, up until the age of 8 was a reaction to what was going on

around us. So for instance if as a six year old

I dropped my ball and it starts rolling into the road. I react to the ball

rolling into the road but I can't rationalize that there's a car coming.

So I run into the road to get the ball. This is a little hypothetical but as an

older kid I would be able to rationalize that the ball is rolling but there's a

car also coming and workout but now is not the time to step into the road. The

problem, that's a really graphical description. But what about those things

which aren't so easy, the emotional stuff, the reasons why I feel wrong or learned

to take on shame that wasn't mine. By the time I was 8 I was already

doing stuff kind of based on the emotions I felt but I didn't understand

why. So I would do it and then I start understanding and rationalizing.

I do this, I become invisible, basically for me to be a scapegoat is to

be a target and therefore if I could make myself invisible that would mean

that I wouldn't be a target. So I would I look back and see

I had personality but I was swallowing it a lot at the time. I would work out,

I would rationalize why it's good to be invisible. I'd rationalize why I feel

shame and rationalize why that's okay. Then I'd mute myself and change myself in

order to find peace or love or whatever it is. And that if that that carries on

throughout my life then what happens it becomes too

much to bear. Fourteen years ago I spent seven hours

unconscious in hospital after a whole bunch of cocaine and alcohol. And it was

as I look back and I'm like "wow I really hated myself." It's another extreme

example but I couldn't admit that I hated myself and all the reasons. For

me that is where it starts if I can admit to myself that something I'm doing

is not working. The problem is if I can't see it. So if I'm feeling shame, I'm

feeling wrong but I don't know why. I need to be open to the possibility that

there's something I don't know, something I don't understand or something I'm not

admitting to myself. If I can admit that actually this situation, whatever it

is, maybe I'm doing something that I've always done, maybe I'm trying to process

things that happened to me when I was a kid. If I can be open to the

scariest thing in the world which is not understanding. I think that out of

everything not understanding combined with a fear of annihilation. If

I can just become aware that might be a possibility, may not be true, then I

can work out what is actually going on with me. I can make

tiny little changes. It starts off really painful because actually in my

experience. I understand and look back and I can go "I did this because of this"

and I'm still terrified to take the action. That feels like paralysis and

if I keep doing that, if the behavior it's the same even though I

realize it then that's insanity. The biggest courage we're ever asked is to

step into the what we don't know, with whatever that looks like. That's been my

experience. It's not comfortable and yet as I look back I spent all my life

invisible there's very little video of me on the Internet

prior to 18 months ago, I think.

Somehow finding my voice has been in becoming visible and becoming a target.

Interesting thing is I got my first dislike on a video the other day and I was so

happy. I've had like 11,000 views and only one dislike but in my mind

when I started making these videos I thought "everybody is going to

say they hate me" and it didn't happen in 18 months

later and 11,000 views I get one dislike. I'm like, it's possible, it's obvious

back then that the thoughts I was thinking we're not true. Finding freedom

from the Scapegoat Role is in asking myself what is it I'm doing, not doing

that may be blocking me from being who I truly want to be, my character, my

individual. As Scapegoats were often weird ones,

oddballs, the fun ones and it's stepping into that. I ask myself what am I

willing to lose in order to find that what I really want?

Which is learning to love myself. I have one purpose in life, to awaken to my

potential and help others do the same. I do that with emotional balance, spiritual

connection and physical health. If you'd like to find out more about that and how

I help people coach through that there's a link in description below. If you've
