Today I want to talk about the difference of what's called a swimmer's ear or an external

ear infection and a more typical middle ear infection or what we often think of as just

ear infections with little kids.

So, swimmer's ear or external ear infection involves the space between the external ear,

that opening, and the tympanic membrane or the eardrum, along that canal itself.

What happens with that is that canal which is lined with skin starts getting really inflamed

and infected.

Kids can sometimes manifest it as having pain when they chew or when they're talking or

classically they may have pain right here.

The best way to treat that initially is to use some topical ear drops which can get a

concentrated antibiotic right to that source right there.

When it gets really bad then a pediatrician will say why don't we have you go and see

ENT because there's just no way for those drops to get in, and at times we'll go ahead

and access the ear take a look at it, we even have a couple of special instruments in our

office to be able to take a look, and we can do some more treatment there and then at that

time and recommend a good course of treatment afterwards.

The more classic ear infection is what we call a middle ear infection and that's where

pus and fluid builds up behind the eardrum, or what we call the tympanic membrane.

That typically occurs when we start to have upper respiratory symptoms, a cough, a cold,

lots of snotty nose, and at that point as symptoms continue to get worse many parents

will go see either their pediatrician or they'll go see urgent care.

There your health care provider will take a look at the ears and look for if there's

a red, pussed out, bulging eardrum, which is the classic signs for having an

ear infection and at that time may prescribe an oral antibiotic.

Ear infections are very common, so if you have concerns if your child has an ear infection,

be it an external ear infection or a middle ear infection, give us a call, come on in

Hi ya'll and welcome or welcome back to my channel

as I told you

before I'll take a few weeks off

I still have a few videos to share

one of them is today's video, which - as you may

have guessed from the title is about my Deecember favorites

I usually skip the December favorites video

but this time I wanted to film it because

there are a few things that I bought more recently

that deserve to be shared or I'll end up forgetting them and

that would be a pity

That said

my favorites are going to be a bit less than usual

but I'm sure I'll end up talking for ages nontheless

let's see how I'll be doing

I think I want to start with ...

make up

I already told you in the past that

this year I'm in love with the Huda beauty lipsticks

mainly with the liquid matte ones

which I bought in a set of 4 minis

in the last shopping session I had in Sephora, where

I went to take advantage of my birthday discount

even though I discovered that Huda beauty can't be discounted

but I bought other things too, so that's ok

anyway I bought another version of the Huda beauty lipsticks,

the demi matte, which is a mix

between a matte and a gloss lipstick

I have it on today, but I applied it a few hours ago

so it lost some of the gloss and it's now mainly matte

but I love it nontheless, it's a bit

richer than the liquid matte

inspite of the fact that it's a demi matte, or maybe because of that, who knows?

I chose the shade Feminist

because it's a similar color to my favorite which is Trendsetter

it's a nude as you can see

it's easy to match with any kind of make up

as you can see the wand is the same

I can't remember if the liquid matte had a slanted wand

anyway this one has it and I love that because it makes it easier to apply it

the packaging is cute with this ombre effect, very elegant

I loved it and that's why I wanted to talk about it

as together with the liquid matte ones it has become one of my all times favorite lipsticks

and I also bought the lip pencil in the shade

Trendsetter, which is my favorite one

and I love this pencil because it glides on smoothly

it lasts a very long time, even while eating and drinking

but it's soft and easy to apply, so

it's definitely a thumbs up for these 2 lopsticks

LOPSTICKS?

not lipstick uh...LOPSTICK!LOL

Ok before I'll definitely loose my mind we should move to the next cathegory which is going to be skincare

I have 3 products to share, no wait I have 4

that's a lot of products

I showed the first one in my November favorites/London haul/ birthday presents video

and it's this antioxidant glow water vitamin nectar by Fresh

it's basically an hydrating and brightening facial spray

that you can apply

over make up too

that smells like apricots

I'm obsessed with this fragrance

it hydrates and brightens the skin

it's lovely to use, it's a great product

and I wanted to give you my feed back because in my previous video

I only showed it as part of the haul

as I hadn't tried it yet

the second favorite

is an oldie, but goldie which I already featured in past

favorites videos

it's one of my go to cleanser

the ones I always reach for

I'm mentioning it again because in the past months

I got back to using it a lot

it's Kiehl's Calendula Deep cleansing foaming face wash

it's very gentle

it's lovely to use because it doesn't dry the skin

and it's also sightly soothing

which makes it perfect for sensitive skins, i love the packaging

with the pump that makes it easy to get out the product

and apply it with the Clarisonic as I do

to follow I have

another product that I featured in my previous favorites video

but I'm mentioning it again because this is the time of the year I tend to use it

more frequently and it's

the Egyptian magic all purpose cream

I mainly use it on my elbows which in Winter

they become very dry and crusty and I hate how they look

and this cream

which I don't know what it is made of

everytime I read the back I smile

because it's very poetic

peace, divine love, perfect

health

eternal wisdom

and infinite blessing on you

how do I translate that?

well you get the sense, it's very poetic, but it gets no hints about what's inside

it suggest to warm it on the palm of your hands because it has a

how shall I describe it? Waxy I would say

but it melts on the hands and then

and it's super duper hydrating

and it's perfect to use on the driest parts of the body, like my crusty elbows

I highly recommend it, this is the travel size

you can get it in Sephora at the counters and I recommend it

the last skincare item

is a face mask by Boscia

which has been available in Sephora for the past few months

I haven't seen it before

I think it's an american brand

this is the charcoal pore minimizing bio-cellulose mask

it's charcoal based, which means it's black

but being a tissue mask it's very

quick and easy to apply and there's no need to rinse it off

and it purifies the skin, reducing the pores

if you haven't tried it yet I recommend it

there are some other good ones, also by the Sephora brand

but I like this one more

and this concludes the skincare section

now let's move to the clothes as I have a few things to show you

As you know I'm a shopaholic,

I'm working on that, but without great results

and infact I always manage to find a reason to buy something new

especially when it comes to clothes

so in November/December I bought a few pieces that I wanted to share with you

because some of them are super cute

the first one is a t-shirt

I do realize it's not really the right season for t-shirts

but I wear them all the same, layered on a long sleeve top

and a warm cardigan on top and this t-shirt is definitely worth sharing

I bought it

at the beginning of November

I forgot to include it in my November favorites video

but I should have done that

so I'll talk about it now because I don't want to forget again

it's this Wes Anderson Royal Tenenbaums inspired t-shirt

created by Pollaz

she is a very talented girl who creates amazing products

I'll link her web site and I already talked about her in some past favorites videos

for example she makes these adorable pillowed and frames artworks

a framed portrait in pillow form

I got this as a birthday present last year from my friends Ale and Anto

she's very talented

and I suggest you to check her out because she's awesome

and she is a great Wes Anderson fan too

the Royal Tenebaums is one of my favorite movies

and I couldn't resist this graphic t-shirt

it says I always wanted to be a Tenenbaum, you know?

I love it because it's simple, white, easy to pair

and I've been wearing it a lot

to follow, my new passion ... here I already have a great mess, but let's move on

my new passion are skirts

pencil skirts to be plecise...

to be precise, gosh I can't talk anymore, bare with me.

and this is one of my favorite pencil skirts

unfortunately it's not on sale anywhere

or at least I couldn't find a camel-coloured pencil skirt anywhere

if you found it let me know even if

I already solved the problem because I asked my mother who is a tailor

to make a camel-colour pencil skirt

warm and suitable for Winter, with pockets

and she did it for me and I love it because

it's something I've been wanting for a while

it's warm enough for the cold Winter days

and it's easy to pair, especially as this year the camel-colour is quite in

you can basically find everything in that shade

except a pencil skirt, which is what I wanted

I bought the second pencil skirt I have here

from Zara

and it's a black and white chequered

it's slightly longer than usual, which I like

it's quite tight and highwaisted

it's black and white, so very easy to pair

and I particularly like

to pair it with turtlenecks

and infact

here comes the next favorite

which is going to be turtle neck sweaters

and I bought 3 in Zara

I ony share 2 because I featured one

in my Fall haul, the one in the rust shade, which I've been wearing a lot

and as I fall in love with that one

I also bought a camel-coloured one

because as you may have guessed I'm obsessed with that shade right now

and not to go wrong

I also bought a black one

I love them because they are not too bulky

which makes them perfect to tuck into jeans or skirts

without creating any weird bulk

they are tight and look good under blazers too

and turtlenecks in my opinion are Winter must-haves that should be in every wardrobe

now let's talk about the last clothing favorite another of my latest passions

blazers

I already owned a black Zara one

and I bought another one

it's again a long blazer, with rolled sleeve

I'm dying

I'll reach the end of the video without voice

huey...huey? Huey, Dewey, and Louie!

here I have it, it's a hound's tooth version

it's in a weird shade, I can't tell if it's

beige and brown or a grey and black

it's an inbetween

I love this kind of blazers because

they are easy to pair and make smarter even a basic outfit

like turtleneck, jeans and boots or pencil skirt

and blouse, perfect for the office and all in all they are quite versatile

and comfy, I love them.

now let's move to the random in which I'll talk about

random and accessories together, ok?

Let's start with the accessories

if you follow me on Instagram maybe you remember

or maybe not

that at the end of November I spent a weekend

in Nice where I met some friemds

and during that weekend I discovered a shop

that weirdly I had never noticed

and I fell in love with it, where this

girl, or I should say lady

as she has more or less my age, which means basically a lady

in her 30/40ies, to be good with me

creates some amazing jewelry set

very peculiar and interesting and I bought

2 pieces, the first one is

this bangle

in brass, very simple

with a knot in the center

I think it's adorable in its simplicity

and as I couldn't resist I also bought the matching ring

it looks like I want to punch you LOL

and I love them both

I don't think they sell online, I'll do a research and if I'll find something

as usual, I haven't daid it yet, but you should know it by now

on my blog I'll link everything

available on sale online

anyway the prices were

not too high, not super cheap, but considered the quality, not bad at all

if you'll visit Nice I recommend you to check the shop out, it's in the old city

I'll mention the shop on my blog anyway, in case they don't sell online

in my haul video it was still packed and now that I used it

it ended straight among my favorites

it's an hair towel

with a button on one side and it works like this

you put it on this way, now look at how gorgeous I am with it on

here come the schmurfs, anyway

you twist it and you secure it on the button

oh gosh I look like a crazy palm reader

Anyway you secure the hook on the back on the button

and it stays on

unlike a regular towel that always falls down

that's a smart invention, i like it a lot

the last random favorite, because I included

a bit of everything in this section

an Essie nailpolish, what a surprise

Essie is my favorite nailpolish brand

and this has been my favorite shade for the past month and so, you may have seen me

wearing it in a lot of videos because I'm obsessed with it

it's called

leggy legend

I have it on now too

and it's this metallic copper color

which in my opinion looks amazing on

if you are into metallic nailpolish you should try it

and Essie is always a good choice in general

brilliant, let's end this way the random section

and let's move to the last section in which I'll mix books and tv series

Here we are, welcome to the last section

the books and tv series one

incredibly this month I have a book to recommend

I showed it in my London haul and it's

turtles all the way down by John Green

I don't know the title in italian

I don't even know if it has been translated yet

anyway, just so you know, John Green is the same author or the fault in our stars

a movie was made from that book a few years ago

if you've been following me for a while you'll know

from time to time I like to read books in english

and when I do I prefer to go for

young adults books because I find them easier to read

and it helps me to execize my reading in english nontheless

and most of the times I choose John Green

because he is an author

I like, probably because I'm still a teenager inside

the main character of this novel

is Aza Holmes, a 16 years old girl

who

as it often happens in John green's books is a complex teeneager

Aza lost her dad when she was a child

and she grew up with her mother

and the void left by her father weakened her mental health

she tends to get absorbed by her negative thoughts

and hypocondria that makes her life very hard

Aza has a best friend, Daisy, who's very different from her

an extrovert who writes Star wars fan iction

they are a bizarre couple where one is the opposite of the other

anyway the plot revolves around other characters too

not only around the 2 main characters

and among the other characters there's a rich kid whose father disappeares

allegedly due to a fraud he did

but we don't know if he's still alive or not anyway

the 2 main characters start to investigate on that

and the plot becomes more and more interesting

also because of the way the characters interact one with the other

I don't want to spoiler too much

if it's available in italian i'll link it on my blog

if not you can read it in english if you know the language and you feel like doing it

turtles all the way dwon

now let's talk about tv series as I have 2 to recommend

2 very different series which I didn't except to like

the first one is on Sky

and it's called Kidding

starring Jim Carrey, whi is one of my favorite actors because

he has the skill to perform both comedic and dramatic characters very well

it's the story of a kids show host

and it revolves around the dicotomy between the real man and the tv character

because when life becomes hard and painfull it's very hard for him to balance

the posivity he needs to show when hosting on tv

a positivy he always had in his real life too, as he has always been a good man

and on the other side the struggles of life that little by little start to make him

fall apart and loose his mind

I recommend it you can watch it on Sky

the other series is on Netflix, my series official pusher and it's

"a series of unfortunate events"

starring Neil Patrick Harris, I think that's his name

I hope I got it right, he is the one that starred in How I met your mother too

you'll recognize him when you'll see him

and by the way a movie was released years agobased on the same story starring Jim Carrey

I loved the series, there are 2 seasons on Netflix

I loved the setting which is very peculiar

and somehow reminds me both of Wes Anderson and Tim Burton

2 of my favorite directors

the characters are very peculiar too

it's the story of 3 orphans who end up with many different tutors

the first of which is Count Olaf

played by Neil Patrick Harris

who is the main villain

it's hard to describe this series

kids could probably watch it too and maybe it's a kids series and I don't know it

but it has quite a deepness

I love the setting, the characters are surreal

the photography and the costumes are amazing

Top Ten Best Movies of 2018 - Duration: 14:56.

wow what a difference just a few months and a few movies can make because as

you're about to see my list the best movies of 2018 has changed dramatically

since just June and it's not just the simple fact that more movies came out

and I needed to make room for them but some of the movies that came out made me

feel differently about the movies that I just recently seen but before we get to

my list I want to hear your list if not just the best movies of 2018 but also

which ones you feel are the worst and you can do that not only by commenting

down below but by voting and beyond the trailers annual poll the link is down

below in the video description and I'm giving you till January 4th to vote so

that you can do your best to see all the movies in the snowstorm that we've

gotten this year and then of course you can stay tuned right here to beyond the

trailer to see the results all right so again my top 10 movies of 2018 number 10

Avengers infinity war hey at least it made the list I'm sure many of you are

devastated that this is number 10 but look let me explain I had a great time

watching Avengers infinity war in fact it's an experience I shall never forget

the gasps when Captain America showed up the gasps again when Tony Stark was run

through by Thanos and I respect the hell out of it by the way from a business

perspective it's one of the most successful movies of all time it's very

well made again from a business perspective but as a movie creatively

let's be honest it has problems from a fridge in Gomorrah

to no character arcs to a cliffhanger ending absolutely nobody believes I'm

still super excited by the way for Avengers endgame I think it's gonna be

just as fun a time and probably even more successful and if anyone actually

stays dead though because even Loki is coming back or at least in purgatory on

the streaming service well if anyone again actually legit stays dead in

Avengers end game well I promise that it will end up higher up on my 2019 list it

might even end up higher because it'll be a better movie or I'll have seen the

whole story at that point but right now the first half is

10 all right number 9 green book higher than Avengers infinity war well first

off I'm sure many of you will be saying the Batman about every single movie on

this list because they're all higher than Avengers infinity war but I also

would like to ask have you seen green book and I'm sure most of you will say

no because the things are real clunker from a business perspective not it you

know it's interesting you know you know if you want to get both things right and

here you have two movies that I think missed the mark on on one side each but

anyway Green Book is an absolutely fabulous film as you can see it's a

number 9 on my list I just recently saw it again because not a lot of momentum

it I think it's a movie a lot of people are going to discover as they should but

some people who have seen green book and you might be writing this down below

right now or reading this comment for someone else

they've criticized it for being too light you know not dark enough not real

enough interestingly some of the same criticism that love Simon gotten love

Simon unfortunately didn't make my list because I don't think it's as

well-crafted a film as exciting and a film as the other these fine these final

choices but anyway this is you know Green Book is a feel-good movie but

that's the kind of feel-good movie that actually reaches the people particularly

in the middle of the country here in the United States that need to be reached by

this sort of movie not only does green book deal with race issues and many of

those many of the scenes in the film are tragically still relevant today in fact

the third act confrontation in Alabama I don't want to give too much away but it

definitely brought Colin Kaepernick to mind but the movie also depicts how some

individuals here mashallah Ali's done Shirley might be impressively unique but

that also means they don't really fit in anywhere the loneliness of the artist

and they're all different types of artists by the way it's not just like

the traditional arts but anyone who's an entrepreneur anyone who thinks

differently and you know very bravely walking a path alone finds himself in

this situation I'm sure many of you could relate to the movie in this regard

now Green Book also points out that everyone should try to be their best but

also it's important to be part of the group really liked it alright number

eight vice I don't think I enjoyed this movie in the way that Adam McKay

intended but that's okay because Adam McKay is my biggest problem with this

movie you know how actors who play villains say that they can't hate their

character they have to find the motivation and the viewpoint well I

think director writers should have the same rule because Adam McKay most

certainly does not he hates Dick Cheney and I think it

undercuts the film it's just a little bit too personal in some ways but

speaking of actors Christian Bale found a way to understand

Dick Cheney and as a result it's one of the defining performances of his career

if not the defining performance of his career and it allows him to finally

achieve Meryl Streep status I can't wait for this movie hopefully for it's gained

some momentum you also have an amazing cast here

that's at the top of their own game backing on Christian Bale up plus an

unusually frank look and how people at the highest levels operate behind closed

doors now if it weren't for McKay getting in his own way this couldn't

been another patent but still even with McKay's you know personal baggage it

comes awfully close to the greatness of Patton have you not seen Patton go watch

Patton alright number seven upgrade it still

made it well Green Book is tragically underperforming at the box office

upgrade was flat-out ignored which is a total travesty as it's a brilliant

sci-fi caper as noteworthy for its storytelling as it's low-budget

filmmaking I mean what Leigh Whannell in his directorial debut by the way I can

do with under five million dollars is amazing and it's so nice he and James

Wan of course came and Tolly came to Hollywood together with SAW and they're

both on my list I think that's great now here Leigh Whannell star Logan

Marshall green also delivers doing a lot of them the effects himself with his own

body after studying with Cirque de Soleil

too bad that Marshall Green and this movie looks so much like mega-hit venom

otherwise this would have been the star turn that he and why now deserved number

six a quiet place but this movie was definitely a star turn not only for

Emily Blunt giving her a much-needed box-office win in a pretty bleak

box-office resume but a star turned for John Krasinski allowing him to finally

make the very difficult jump from small screen success to big screen success

at a time when more and more people are content to be entertained at home a

quiet place created an experience not to be missed in theatres can a movie really

be silent for almost its entire run you know the entire story and also can

everyone in the theatre be silent it was almost a challenge but a quiet place is

more than a gimmick it has a clever script thrilling direction and a tense

score this is definitely a leader in the new prestige horror movement number five

Bohemian Rhapsody and I'm sure stars born fans are like so whereas a star is

born unfortunately it's not on my list

because well I really enjoyed the performances in the stars morn and I

think some very talented individuals are showing off their craft there I'm trying

to be really careful I can't say that I thought the film itself was great

especially the second half I thought it had too many problems for me to put it

on this list for the age you know is one of those must ours born one of those

films this 2018 version one of the films that I feel everyone should see at some

point no but I think it's important in the careers of Lady Gaga and Bradley

Cooper and in Hollywood history so I gave it a little bit of a shout-out

anyway but Bohemian Rhapsody is the complete

package where Annie Malik is not only able to capture Freddie Mercury's magic

but still shine through himself as an actor he doesn't disappear into

the role sure the directing is a bit pedestrian and this film was of course

plagued by horrible behind-the-scenes drama Bryan Singer being fired fired /

quit you know they can't agree on that hitman Fox but you know it was a real

problem and Bryan Singer of course has it brings his own baggage to the

situation but I think that Bohemian Rhapsody Rises all above that and the

heart of the soul heart and soul of the movie makes up for everything with the

highlight besides Malick being it's amazing music performances capped off by

a perfect perfect directory recreation of Queens iconic Live Aid performance

argued by many to be the greatest live musical performance of all time and I

think after you see Bohemian Rhapsody you understand why a generation of Queen

fans looked backed font looked back fondly while a new generation was also

born the number four into the spider-verse

I love this movie I continue to love it even though I think

um it's it's financial success isn't quite materializing but since he made

his Comics debut many accused Miles Morales of being a token character a

Peter Parker ripoff which annoyed all of us who are Miles Morales fans so it's

very rewarding as a Miles Morales fan to see him finally get his do kind of again

those box office numbers are weaker than I would like but spider-verse is more

than just a debut for Miles Morales it's not only the best spider-man movie ever

made and those who are seeing it you know emphasis on those who are seeing it

but they all agree highest score ever for the franchise but also it's an

animated movie because animation in the West has managed to get adult fans on

the small screen but it hasn't been able to do that on the big screen animation

is still viewed as family fan but that is changing hopefully with spider-verse

and that's very exciting number three though Aquaman

because while Spider versus revolutionary Aquaman is simply

operating in a whole other level James Wan has been a Hollywood staple for a

while now first changing the course of the horror genre he is the one who paved

the way for that new prestige set of horror films like a quiet place and get

out but one now seems after you know forever changing horror setting it on a

new course he now seems to have set his eyes on comic book movies oh boy Aquaman

is a modern filmmaking masterpiece as I said in my review of visual and audio

Symphony and the most beautiful film ever made move all over Pandora and this

is actually a movie but most people can get behind although of course you can't

or you can't say that about Pandora I mean avatar it made so much freakin

money but Aquaman shows that in the right hands VFX can be used just as

artistically as any other tool in a director's arsenal I mean obviously the

VFX and avatar were also very good they didn't have the artistic flourish that

Aquaman's do now if people might be reluctant to admit the brilliance of

Aquaman because it's a DC movie for shame but it's definitely a game changer

and I think it's time passes and more people just can't fight that mist this

tidal wave of a movie hopefully that'll be recognized because I think Aquaman

raises bar yet again for what a superhero movie

can be number two Mission Impossible fallout so after everything I just said

about Aquaman how can another movie top it well mission impossible fallout has

everything that Aquaman does but also elegance and legacy because if maybe if

one had actors the level of Tom Cruise he is you know Aquaman might have come

in ahead of Mission Impossible followed on my list but cruise and Christopher

McQuarrie are at the top of their game just as one is and there's also

something to be said about old-fashioned filmmaking there's just a pull to it a

nostalgia pull that's what the industry has been for so long because Cruz is

doing his own that you know his own stunts the best stunts of his career

even broke his ankle for the movie but I can't I can't factor that in too much

into them you know to the final film I think the film is more than that it

doesn't need that that's just an interesting little you know trivia piece

about it but Mission Impossible fallout is an old-fashioned spy caper that shows

an old TV show an old franchise and older star and also again old-fashioned

filmmaking can still be competitive in today's spandex marketplace that's

really really important and impressive that they were Christopher McQuarrie and

Tom Cruise were able to do that I mean they borrow from comic movies a little

bit like The Dark Knight they have video game elements like the halo jump but

there's they make them seem organic and again this very old fashioned piece of

filmmaking I also add to that all add to all of that a deliciously dark turn by

Superman himself and globe-trotting locales and while James wants filmmaking

a sharp Christopher McQuarrie ziz even sharper then the number one film of the

year is black panther it is still my favorite film of 2018 even though I

would agree that it has similar third-act problems to Wonder Woman and

you know problems that Aquaman in Mission Possible full up do not have

however because just like Wonder Woman a big part of Black Panther is

representation this is so important here not just in representation not just for

the black community but for the continent of Africa see the thing is for

too long the black conversation has been focused on slavery having to overcome

constant obstacles discrimination and that's a very important discussion to be

sure that's represented in black panther by the character if

kill longer an incredibly popular character I think because of what he

taps into that that rage that anger that the unjustness of it but at the same

time Black Panther it's looked very much like

a transition movie because Black Panther also puts the focus of the black

discussion to the future you know what Conda is that same shining

city on a hill that America was founded to be now of course Wakanda is a

fictional country but as an idea it is very very real and as I said when the

movie opened and I reviewed it this is the most important black piece of

entertainment since roots and is enjoying the same critical and financial

success and I think his place in history success it's it's really you're

experiencing a moment it's fat it's it's it's amazing

it's it's that's why it's Best Picture material plus it's also good it's a

thrilling movie because for those of you who are like well I mean awards are

nothing but political to be honest with you but I think Black Panther holds up

it was a piece of entertainment as well it's got a thriller it's a thrilling

story it has a superhero with a Jane with James Bond style not to mention

diplomatic immunity and then it's got a production design costume design score

and hair and makeup that all celebrate Africa again are you starting to

understand the Best Picture argument a little bit better now all right so

that's my list of the best the top ten movies of 2018 I can't wait to hear your

How To Make Keto Salmon Patties - Low Carb Salmon Cakes - Keto Recipes - Duration: 9:07.

what's up everybody this is Lyle no hippie barbecue when I be making in

this video is we're gonna be making some keto salmon croquettes salmon patties salmon

cakes or whatever you call them just call them good I was inspired to make

this recipe by a website by the name of castironketo.net now the recipe that

they originally came up with was four crab cakes and I figured it would be a

nice adaptation to turn this into a keto salmon recipe so that's what we're gonna

do it's a very simple recipe I did make a

few adjustments to other your ingredients and we'll discuss those when

we get into these ingredients so before we get into these ingredients I want to

let you know that I will be having the original recipe in the description below

along with any changes that I made their recipe was based on eight ounces of meat

I'm going to be going with about a pound and a half of salmon so my recipe that

I'm using right here is going to be adjusted for that but like I said the

original recipe is going to be in the description below so this is our pound

and a half of salmon and this is gonna be for my dogs right here and their

recipe they used onions I'm using some chopped shallots and their recipe they

used red peppers which I have here and I'm also adding some orange peppers as

well we have our egg mayonnaise butter pepper and they used the regular

oil-based seasoning I'm going to be using an old bay rub it's just a little

bit different than the Old Bay seasoning and we're gonna be binding it with some

almond flour those are all their ingredients you're really gonna need for

this I will be making a homemade tartar sauce and I'll have a video on that as

well it's a matter of fact I'll put a link to that video in the iCard above

and description below of this video is this gonna be a totally separate video

those are ingredients what I'm going to do right now is I'm gonna cook this

salmon until it's done I don't want to overcook it so we're gonna be cooking it

to about just under full done and I'm not going to season it before we cook it

it's gonna go in the oven right now for probably

fifteen minutes and 350 degrees changes I'm going to make to this recipe that

they didn't do in theirs cuz I am going to saute our shallots and our peppers

before we make our salmon cakes and really that's just to make it a little bit

easier for those salmon cakes to kind of hold together without any of those

vegetables poking through so we're just going to cook them down until they just

become just a little bit softer so we've let these vegetables cook for about

three minutes and if I didn't mention it earlier I am cooking this in about a

tablespoon and a half of butter now that they're softened we're just gonna set

them aside and let them cool off our salmon should be cooked in about another

ten minutes and once that's done getting cooked I'm gonna let that salmon cool

down as well just to make it easier to handle it's had a chance to cook it's

cooled down and while I was waiting for it to cool down I went out and checked

the mail and guess what showed up in the mail I got some extra extra extra hot

pepper blend from another youtube channel by the name of daddy Dutch BBQ

I'm gonna leave a link to his channel my card a book and description below if

you're not subscribed to him run over to his channel and show him some love now

he said this is extra extra extra high I'm not sure about that I'm not going to

taste it I am going to add some of this to this recipe just to kind of spice it

up a little bit anyway Kent I'd like to thank you for sending this to me now

really to complete this all that we need to do is add all of our ingredients so I

already have my salmon in the bowl go ahead and throw these eggs in our

vegetables our manis almond flour pepper and I'm gonna eyeball these seasonings

this is our old bay

and now some of this extra extra hot pepper blend Kent I don't okay it is hot

from what I could smell right now my bed sure if it has anything else in it but

I'm getting a dried habanero smell out of this I'm gonna recover from adding

this these peppers in here we'll get mixing it up so I can attest to you that

this is some hot stuff here I'm telling you I'm sniffling and everything right

now just smelling it so I know this is gonna bring some heat now all I'm doing

now is I'm mixing it up trying to incorporate everything in together

and once I have it mixed in completely I'm going to form my salmon patties and set

them on some wax paper or something that it's not gonna stick too far as forming

these patties though you can make them as big as small as you want I'm gonna

freehand these and I'm just going for something a little bit on the smaller

side so about that big right there so these are good to go looks like I have a

little bit left over we'll get to these later in the meantime I'm gonna get my

skillet heated up get some butter melted then we'll get cooking these off some

butter this melted in a skillet my skill set about medium-high and I have a

generous amount of butter in here really all that we need to do is cook these

until they are browned on both sides and I'm just going to do four of these for

now my wife is out Christmas shopping right now hopefully not spending a bunch

of money and my skillet is a little wobbly so I'm gonna

do that we're gonna cook these until we get golden brown he's been cooking for

about two and a half minutes I just want to take a look and see what they're

looking like it looks good to me perfect another two and a half minutes

on this side and it should be a wrap so these are cooked an additional two and a

half minutes on the other side I'm setting them on a plate with the napkin

just so some of that butter will drain off I'm gonna plate up get my big head

boy up here we'll do a taste test and he doesn't know I added all that hot pepper

to it so we'll see if he what he says and the taste test

so it's a wrap this time for me and Eddie Van Halen to get in here and get

in on this taste test as you can see that head is so big it doesn't even fit

all the way in the screen but anyway just get you one of those little salmon patties

you know a little slice squeeze a little bit on there just get you some tartar

sauce like I said tartar sauce recipes it's

gonna be in the iCard above in the description below all right it's enough

with school taste it and let me know what you think

mmm that fish is still nice and tender on the outside crisp to it it's got some

heat to it and we keep this dance to about be good no hippie BBQ time that

not tiny notice and the lemon gives that nice bitterness and that tartar sauce is

perfect well I had a guy from a YouTube channel

These are super cheap and definitely not laser-scanned like some of the more expensive options out

there would be, but you'd pay 150 bucks for those and you're only paying 20 bucks for

these.

Deep channels in this rubber are going to help trap any liquid or debris that fall onto

the mats and it makes it super easy to pull these out and hose them off.

There's also rubber nibs all along the back to keep them in place when they're in the

truck and also, there's some faux diamond plating here that really gives a nice grip

when you're in the driver's seat.

The main draw to this set is also the rear mat which is going to span the entire width

of the cap.

If you do have a tan interior as well, we also offer the identical set in beige too.

This is an easy one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter and you should be

able to install it in about five minutes.

With that, let me show you what these will look like in your truck.

The only tool you'll need for this install is a pair of scissors or cutting tool, something

that cut off the rubber tags used in shipping.

Now, there is one step before we throw these in our truck and that's to cut off these rubber

tabs here that are used to hold the mats together in shipping.

Now, always with floor mats, you always wanna make sure you remove your factory mats, especially

on the driver's side.

If these get piled too high, sometimes your accelerator pedal will catch this mat here.

And that is gonna do it for my review of the TruShield all weather floor mat set with the
