going to the asia artist awards 2018 (bts, wanna one, ikon, seventeen...) - Duration: 29:08.
Hi everyone!
So as you've seen thanks to the title, this video is going to be a vlog about me going
to the Asia Artist Awards, I'm explaining what it is a little bit later in the video.
But yeah, the first part of the video is mostly about me vlogging about my day and getting to the
venue and generally being excited about what's to come, and then I put clips of the different
performances of the night and between them I just spoke about my feelings
and my thoughts about those performances.
Just a warning before the actual video starts, I was going to the AAAs mostly to see BTS
because I'm a huge fan of them, and I didn't really know the other groups, some of them
I had like heard of them but I didn't really know their songs and things like that, so
these are just my really honest impressions about each group and their performances as
a non-fan so please don't get offended if I say something stupid or if I just seem like
I don't know them because I truly don't know them most of the time, so yeah.
And feel free to recommend some of their songs and things like that because as I said I didn't
really know anyone that well apart from BTS.
And I also have to apologize for the really awful close-ups of my ugly face during the vlogging
part, it was my first time actually vlogging on the street and I'm really not used to
it and so my phone was way too close to my face, so sorry about that, I will do better
next time I promise.

Hi everyone!
I hope you can hear me even if it's a bit loud because I'm on the street.
Today is a special day because I'm going to the AAAs, which is an award ceremony for
kpop artists and also k-drama actors and actresses, so yeah I'm going there and now I'm in
Gangnam because I need to go to some building to pick up my ticket for tonight, so that's
what I'm doing and it's freezing cold and I kinda want to die but anyway, I'm just
gonna get there and then I'll meet you afterwards.
Okay so, I have my ticket which is amazing, I'm a bit relieved
now that I have it in my hands.
I'm still in Gangnam, I think I'm going to eat here and then head to Incheon which
is a different city than from Seoul so I have to get there and it's quite far away and
I really want to have enough time to get lost if needed.
So yeah, I'm going to eat here, because it's now like 12 or something, maybe not
even 12, and then I will take the subway and go to Incheon and I think I will probably
be really early because the ceremony starts at 5pm, so I should be there really early
if everything goes well, but I mean I'd rather be really early than be late.
So yeah, we will see how everything goes, for now I'm gonna try to find somewhere
to eat, preferably somewhere where I don't have to speak Korean because I just can't
speak Korean, so yeah, I will keep you updated.
Okay so I got to Incheon and now I have to walk to the venue, it is still super cold
so I'm kinda mad…
The things I would do to see BTS.
But yeah, I'm starting to feel really excited especially because it's now like a little
bit past 3 and they came on the red carpet so like, we saw them, I mean I didn't see
them with my eyes but I saw the pictures on Twitter so I know that they're here and
that I'm actually going to see them so I'm starting to feel really excited, and stressed
but like, because I'm excited?
So yeah, we will see, I will try to film once I'm at the venue.
Before getting to the actual show, I just wanted to explain how everything was organized
when I got to the venue.
So I had a ticket, a standing ticket in area 3, and there was also a number on the ticket,
and so when I got there I just had to find the queue for area 3 and then I showed my
ticket to the staff and they placed me according to my number so like they checked the numbers
of the people around and just put me into the right place in the queue, so it was really
well organized and really easy to find my actual spot even without speaking Korean,
because I was really stressed about the whole thing, but turns out it was really easy and
chill to find my way, so that was great.
As you can see, I was really close to the stage, the videos don't actually show how
close I was, even though my number was 788, so I was so pleased about my spot, and because
I'm way taller than most Koreans I could see really really well, and also not feel
too suffocated during the show so that was already amazing.
So the man that you just saw in the previous clip is a member of the boy group Astro and
he's also the main actor of the drama « My ID is Gangnam beauty » which I'm currently
watching so I was so pleased to see him and like he's so handsome in real life.
I knew it, that he was handsome, because of the drama, but like he really is, and it
was really sweet to see him receiving an award and everything so, that was great.
I can't remember who was accepting an award during the last clip but I just wanted to
show where bts were sitting because, just so that you understand, the artists attending
were sitting on both sides of the stage, and before the show, a friend of mine who can
speak a little Korean had told me that BTS would probably sit at the opposite side of
me, which I was kinda disappointed about but that was still okay because I was still going
to see them, but then the show started and the artists were actually arriving really
discreetly and just sitting in their seats without anyone really noticing, and at some
point I looked to my side of the stage just to see who was sitting there, and I saw them,
but I wasn't actually sure that it was them but I still felt like it was them because
like, I can recognize them, even in the dark and everything but I wasn't sure so I was
like a bit… panicked about the whole thing, and then someone else got an award, and they
stood up and I saw that it was actually them and I was so happy!!!
It was so amazing because I could see them really well.
And because of that there are a few performances that I don't remember at all because I was
too busy looking at BTS right next to me so…
I just got really lucky that they were seating on my side.
Because they were sitting on my side,
when they got up to receive their award, as you could see,
they walked past me
and I was so close like the video doesn't actually show but I was so close
and I thought I was going to faint because it was so amazing
and like, they're so handsome?
It was just crazy.
I don't have much to say except that IU is absolutely one of the most beautiful women
I have ever seen in my life, and she looked stunning in that dress
and also like so sweet and kind
And yeah, maybe I wanna marry her.
KARD's performance (I think that's how you say their name?) was really good,
I didn't know them at all before seeing them but I really loved the performance
and I thought that it was really cool to have a kpop group with boys and girls.
So I think I'm gonna check them out in the next few days because it was really nice.
I really loved Mamamoo's performance, I had listened to them the day before the show
because some friends had recommended them to me
and I just wanted to check them out because I knew that they were coming,
and the performance was really really nice, and I was so happy because they sang Starry Night
and it was one of the songs that I had listened to and I really loved it,
so yeah, it was really great and they are really really good so I think I'm gonna try to get more into them later
and now I have a huge crush on the rapper because she's absolutely beautiful.
This performance was nice, I knew the song already
because it's the outro of a Youtuber that I like
so it was nice to actually know one of the songs and to be able to see it live.
Okay so that was fucking great, although I have to say that the award that they were receiving
was stupid like, « Fabulous Award » what the fuck is that?
And like you could see that even BTS didn't know what the fuck was going on,
but it doesn't matter because I got to see them up close again and it was amazing
like they are so beautiful, I said that already but it's just the truth.
And as you can see in the clip, Taehyung looked my way,
I mean he wasn't looking at me because I was too far away so he wasn't looking at me-me,
I think he was maybe looking at the fanboy screaming somewhere in front of me,
but when it happened it actually felt like he was staring into my soul,
and I swear I thought I was going to faint.
I just kept staring at him and he kept staring too
and it was incredible, best experience of my life.
I really loved Wanna One's performance, I didn't really know them but it was really cool,
the song was great and they dance really well so yeah, I enjoyed it.
Okay so Zico's performance was absolutely incredible,
I had never listened to his music but I had heard about it a lot so I had kinda huge expectations,
and when he started performing like the first song I was a bit disappointed I was like « Oh, it's only that? »,
but then he started performing « Yes or No » and it was amazing,
his energy was incredible and I was just so into it?
And it was just… really really great.
I actually don't have much to say about Stray Kids, I heard a lot about them
so I also had huge expectations, but in the end I was a little bit disappointed,
I don't know like yes, the performance was good but it didn't really… stood out to me?
I don't know, I don't wanna judge them on a single performance,
but yeah like, it didn't really made me feel anything?
But because I don't wanna judge them on that, if you like them
and have like one or two songs to recommend, please do so I can listen to them and see if I like it.
But yeah, the performance itself was nice, but just… nice.
Okay so I don't stan Shinee, I don't even know them that well,
but if I had to name a few kpop groups that I like other than BTS, I would absolutely say Shinee
and so I was so happy to see Minho (I think that's how you say his name,
I'm sorry to any Shinee fan if I pronounced it wrong)
but so yeah I was so pleased to see him, he was so cute and he seems so sweet
and he got an award so that was great and I just wanted to hug him for some reason?
So I was really happy.
I don't have much to say about Monsta X, mostly because their music isn't really my taste,
but they were still really good, you can see that they're really good at what they do
and I loved their aesthetic.
they're really good even if it's just not really my thing.
I really loved Twice's performance because they sang « Yes or Yes »
and I've been listening to that song a lot lately,
so it was really really nice to be able to hear it live and I really enjoyed myself.
iKon's performance was really really nice,
I think that Love Scenario is a really good song and they dance really well
so I really loved it, it was probably one of my favorite performances of the night,
and I don't know who he is but the member who was in the middle
in the clip that you just saw, with the long coat?
He's handsome as fuck!
I already knew the songs that Got7 performed
because I had listened to them when they were released
and when I listened to them I didn't really like them,
but for some reason their performance was still one of my favorites and I really really loved it?
So now I guess I'm going to like the songs a little bit more?
But the thing that I will remember the most for that performance is
that they are beautiful as FUCK,
like each and every one of them is so so handsome I was absolutely shook!
I kept looking at all of them and I was like « Oh my god you're way too beautiful ??? »
and I just wanted to lie down for a while because they just are absolutely handsome.
I don't know much about Sunmi but she's a queen and I'm never recovering
from seeing her in that absolutely amazing red dress, and she definitely owned that stage.
Seventeen's performance was hands down one of the best of the night, I absolutely loved it,
I didn't know them at all before that, I mean I had heard of them
but I had never listened to their music, but I really really really loved it.
At first they started singing kind of a really emotional song
and behind them on the screen you could see videos of their fans and everything
and it was so touching I was soft like one minute into the performance,
and then the second song was really upbeat and I really loved it, it's on my playlist now,
and what I loved about Seventeen's performance is that I could actually feel something when they were singing,
because most of the other performances like they were great and I liked them
but I couldn't really feel anything, it felt kinda emotionless,
but with Seventeen it didn't and I could actually feel what they were trying to say
even if I didn't understand so that was really really nice.
And now, after all the talking I did, get ready for the best part of the night
and what was the best part of my entire life, which is...
BTS!
Okay so, that was one of the best things that ever happened to me
seeing them from so close and seeing them perform and everything was absolutely mind-blowing!
I'm of course a little biased here but to me they really put everyone else to shame,
like I loved the other performances but seeing them perform after all those kpop groups
I could really understand why they are the most successful group right now,
even if the other groups are really talented but like… They're just so so good it's crazy!
Their energy and talent is absolutely mind-blowing and I still can't believe that I actually witnessed that?
I will absolutely treasure this memory for the rest of my life.
And also, when I got out of the venue after the show ended, I saw on Twitter
that the people watching the show on Vlive couldn't hear anything the rapline's part in « Fake Love »
and I just wanted to say, for those of you who don't know,
that in the venue, the microphones were working perfectly and we could hear everything,
so I think it was like a transmission problem, I don't really know what happened
but we could hear everything so yeah, I just wanted to let you know.
I can't believe I got to watch my babies win a Daesang in real life,
I mean I knew that they were going to win but
I was still so happy and proud and they just deserve the world.
After all the artists took a picture together, BTS came back to the front stage
just to bow and say goodbye and it was so sweet because you could see
that they were so thankful for everything and that they really wanted to thank the fans
and spend a little bit more time with us before leaving
and it was just so touching and I love them so much,
and you can see that they really love us and that they are so grateful.
. To say a little something about like my impression of each member,
I have to say that Jung Hoseok is one of the most beautiful motherfuckers I have ever seen in my life,
like it's crazy the man actually GLOWS, and his smile could probably lit up a whole city,
like I don't know how that's possible but he's just absolutely stunning?
And I mean I knew that he was really beautiful
but you have to see him in real life to actually understand how beautiful the man is?
Namjoon was as perfect as ever, he is the most wholesome man
I have ever seen in my life and I have no words to actually express how perfect he is.
Yoongi is tiny as fuck, like I know that he's actually around my height
so not that small, but compared to the others he seems really small
and I just wanted to put him in my pocket,
and also because he's really skinny, he just seems so tiny.
And yeah, he's a garden gnome and I love him with my whole heart.
Jimin's beauty is absolutely unreal, like I saw him twice already
and I'm still not entirely convinced that he actually exists
because you can't be that beautiful, it's just not possible!
And he looked so good I wanna cry just thinking about it.
Jin is so tall and handsome and I don't know,
he exudes power and charisma and confidence, and he really is godlike.
Taehyung is absolutely stunning, I'm pretty sure his face was carved by the gods
because it's so beautiful, I don't know???
And I still haven't recovered from the fact that he looked my way, I'm never getting over it.
And last but not least, Jungkook is also incredibly beautiful but mostly he's so sweet,
like you can actually see that he's so kind and soft and nice, just by looking at the way he acts?
I don't know, it really stuck me, I was shocked, but you can see that he's such a good person,
I don't know it was really weird but like heartwarming to see,
I just wanted to hug him and he seems to love the fans really much, they all do but
I don't know, Jungkook seemed so nice and soft and kind, and he's amazing.
So yeah, to sum up, I'm really soft for BTS and that was one of the best nights of my life,
I'm really sorry for this incredibly long video,
I just wanted to tell you about all my impressions
and because the ceremony was 5 hours long that took a bit of time.
I'm so so happy I got to experience such a fantastic thing,
I know that I'm really lucky to be able to do that,
and so that's why I wanted to share it with you.
I have to say that the ceremony itself did feel a little bit like a joke
because literally every celebrity that attended got an award
so it kinda lose its meaning when it's like that,
but I mean I saw BTS and all these other artists so I'm not complaining.
And on top on that, the MC was the actress
from « Weighlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo » which is my favorite drama
so that was ever more amazing.
So yeah, it was truly the best night I could ever have asked for
and it's absolutely of the best nights I had in my life.
I really hope that you enjoyed the video and knowing about all my impressions,
