Street Photography - How to respect privacy - Duration: 12:23.

Hi friends, today we talk about privacy in street photography and photography in general

is a very delicate and debated theme

in fact, you know that you publish on the internet or social network photos that portray other subjects

can put us into legal and even moral problems with these portrayed people

For this reason, many photographers do not even approach street photography

but today we'll see what the law says about privacy, and we'll see some photographic techniques to respect privacy and be quiet

Welcome to our Street Photography Scool

As you have heard, this video is divided into two parts: in the first part we will deal with privacy laws

in the second part, we will see so many photos and so many examples, how to respect privacy

laws are different depending on the country in which you live

for example in America you can shoot freely, except in places of strategic importance

or photograph people in their residence, even if the picture is taken from the street

even in the United Kingdom the rules are similar, although there are some limitations since 2000, after the terrorist attacks

In Italy, however, the law says that it is always necessary a release signed by the subjects portrayed in the photo

Except in three cases. Case number one: when people are not recognizable

This is what we will see at the end of the video, where we will see some techniques for making photos compatible with this law

Case number two: recognizable but not decisive people in the photo

This means that if we are in the square, we take a picture and include recognizable, but not mainstream people inside the photo

we can publish our picture quietly on the internet

for example in this photo, the photographer represented this manifestation

there are recognizable people, but in the overall composition of the photo are not relevant

so this photo can be easily published on the internet

Case number three: photo used for cultural purposes

such as when we do a reportage on a particular theme, provided there is respect for the subject photographed

the law also prohibits the publication of photos of minors, unless there is consent from their parents

this is very important! always ask for parental permission if you need to publish photos of minors

So in summary, these are the laws in force in Italy at present

only the subject represented in the photo can report it for image abuse

At this point, it seems almost impossible to do street photography without taking risks

but the ways to be quiet are two:

Number one: you can ask for a signed release from the subject photographed

I often read on forums or on other videos, which is best to ask for permission to the subject before taking the picture

but in my opinion, this is not the best procedure

because to do street photography it is important to capture the subject in its spontaneity

so, asking the subject to set up for us, is not part of street photography

So what I often do is this:

I take a picture, after I go to the subject, I see the picture to him

if the photo is fine, he will ask you to send it by mail

at that point you can ask for authorization

you can say that you are a photographer who participates in competitions and that you need your written permission to publish the photo

almost always the subject accepts. He also expects you to send him the photo. You will be polite and send him your picture

I've always been successful with this technique

The other way to do street photography and respect the privacy of the subjects is through these seven techniques that we will now see

Technique number one: create silhouettes

You know that photographing a backlit subject creates a silhouette

this is a very used way of photographers to respect the privacy of subjects

without sacrificing the creation of a beautiful and interesting picture

Technique number two: photograph the subject from behind

it is not mandatory to photograph the subject in front

but you can take some beautiful pictures, photographing the subject from behind

so you can rest assured that the subject's privacy is preserved

Technique number three: Use elements that cover your face

these elements can be different: architectural elements, scarves, hats, umbrellas

in short, all we can use to hide the face of the subject

in this photo, the photographer was really good because he used an architectural element to cover the faces of subjects and preserve privacy

Fourth Technique: Only portray parts of the human figure

we can use shadows, and opaque surfaces to represent only a few parts of the human figure

and therefore respect the privacy of the subject

these photos can be suggestive and interesting

Technique number five: represent subjects from above

this angle of shooting allows you to create impressive images, respecting the privacy of subjects

is a different point of view than the classic one that stands on the road

then take pictures of this kind too, can give you new insights

Technique number six: to represent subjects on the move

you know that by increasing the shooting times, the subject appears in motion pictures, like a wake

this allows you to create an interesting picture and respect the privacy of the subject

Technique number seven: photograph very distant subjects

Very large distances do not allow face recognition of subjects

I hope that many of you who do not make street photography for fear of breaking the law or respecting the subjects photographed

they can now with courage, go out on the street and use these techniques to take beautiful pictures

the advice is to have good sense in photographing people

Before showing all the photos, I ask you to subscribe to the channel and write comments on your techniques to respect the privacy of the subjects

I ask foreign friends to point out in your comments, what are your country's privacy laws to discuss together

I greet you and leave you with Street Level Photography photos. Goodbye!

ASSASSIN'S CREED 1 Director's Cut Edition Gameplay Walkthrough Part 9 No Commentary (1080p 60fps) - Duration: 56:21.

Lucy: Good morning, Desmond.

Desmond: Yeah, hi.

You, forget how the animus works ? Select, a memory on the menu in front of you and let's begin

Preparation is crucial to your success clear the area of archers and guards before confronting your assassination target

Al Mualim: Come in, Altair. You've done well.Three of the nine lay dead, and for this you have my thanks.

But do not think to rest upon your laurels. Your work has just begun.

Altair: I'm yours to command, Master.

Al Mualim: King Richard, emboldened by his victory at Acre, prepares to move south towards Jerusalem.

Salahuddin is surely aware of this. And so he gathers his men before the broken citadel of Arsuf.

Altair: Would you have me kill them both then? End their war before it begins in earnest?

Al Mualim: No. To do so would scatter their forces, and subject their realm to the bloodlust of ten thousand aimless warriors.

It will be many days before they meet, and while they march, they do not fight.

You must concern yourself with more immediate threat: the men who pretend to govern in their absence.

Altair: Give me names and I'll give you blood.

Al Mualim: So I will. Abu'l Nuquod, the wealthiest man in Damas,

Majd Addin, regent of Jersusalem, William of Montferrat, liegelord of Acre.

Altair: What are their crimes?

Al Mualim: Greed, arrogance, the slaughter of innocents. Walk amongst the people of their cities.

You'll learn the secrets of their sins. Do not doubt that these men are obstacles to the peace we seek.

Altair: Then they will die.

Al Mualim: Another of your items is restored. Take it.

See that it is put to good use.Return to me as each man falls, that we may better understand their intentions.

Al Mualim: And Altair, take care. Your recent work has likely attracted the attention of the city guard.

They'll be more suspicious than they've been in the past.

Use the action view to gather information about your surroundings

Rafiq: Altair my friend! Welcome, welcome! Whose life do you come to collect today?

Altair: His name is Abu'l Nuquod. What can you tell me about him?

Rafiq: Oh, the merchant-king of Damascus! Richest man in the city. Quite exciting, quite dangerous!

I envy you, Altair. Well, not where you were beaten and stripped of your rank, but I envy everything else!

Oh, except for the terrible things the other Assassins say about you!

But yes, aside from the failure and the hatred, yes, aside from those things I envy you very much!

Altair: I do not care what the others think or say. I'm here to do a job.

So I ask again: what can you tell me of the merchant king?

Rafiq: Only that he must be a very bad man if Al Mualim has sent you to see him.

He keeps to his own kind, wrapped in the finery of the city's Noble District.

A busy man, always up to something. I'm sure if you spent some time amongst his type, you'll learn all you need to know about him.

Altair: And where would you have me begin my search?

Rafiq: If I were you, I'd start with the Omayyad Mosque and Souk Sarouja,

both of which are west of here. Further to the northwest is Salahuddin's Citadel.

It's a popular meeting spot and has proved a reliable source of loose tongues in the past.

Yes, these three places should serve your needs.

Altair: My thanks for your guidance, Rafiq. I'll return when I've gathered the necessary information.

What happened to this

Altair, my friend, my brother ! It's been such a long time. Any news of Adha since she left ?

No ? How sad. I'm sure you'll find her someday. I have heard a feather is lying on top of Abu'l Nuqoud's head.

Maybe i could help you, but i have a mission myself.I have four targets I must eliminate before noon.

Let's cooperate just like old times. Two for you,two for me ?

They are Abu'l Nuqoud's personal guards, you will spot them in minutes.

Why, is he doing that he's going to cause trouble

Wasn't that great ! Just like in Alep, you remember ?

Here is something i found on one of the Merchant King's men.

I think it's a map of where he has stationed his guards.I'm sure it will come in handy in your mission.

Anytime you're in Damascus come see me you know, my door is always open to you. Safety and peace my friend.

It's only wine.

Some can, be fickle in their faith.

Your Holy Book says something on the subject i believe

"Leave them that they may eat and enjoy themselves, and that hope may beguile them for they will soon know,

And never did we destroy a town that had a term made known".

What's that supposed to mean ?

Never mind be about your business.

As you wish

Any minute now

As a fancy asset right where artists head and know, what it is to be a team?

who could have done

Hold a moment, Altair ! I have a strange request but perhaps, you'll see fit to assist me.

I know you seek the Merchant King's life, but there are others in the city just as cruel.

Several shopkeepers in this district have taken to selling rotten meat

It's cheap, for them to acquire and they care little for the illness that it causes

Several children have already died as a result,

we should not allow this injustice to continue would you be willing to put a stop to this ?

Thank you brother you've saved untold lives.

In return for your kindness i'll give you a bit of information you might find useful.

I Overheard two of the Merchant Kings servants this morning.

It seems they've left, some scaffolding just outside his personal quarters

You could use it to reach him, that much quicker.

You are not supposed to be here leave

You have no business here

You are not supposed to be here leave

hey

You have no business here

So don't you got the jack

Safety and peace. You want information about the city I suppose ?

Right now i don't have time i must find some flags, which have been stolen

From our cache in the rich district of Damascus but with, this heat, my legs cannot carry me anymore

Would you be kind enough to help, me ? Return with the flags and i'll help you as best i can.

Thank, you.The rafiq will be happy to see these flags returned.

Perhaps, this morsel of information will help you.I was invited by Abu'l to one of his lavish parties.

I noticed the fountain in the middle of the Merchant King's palace could be easily climbed.

Use this information wisely. Now if you'd excuse me, I must go.

who saved our city from certain, destruction

He spent his, own coins to see us fed and clothed

His men tend to the hires that, we might, be worth ! His kindness knows no bounds.

everything, we now have, we have because of him

There is no one more generous than Abul' Noqul every, week he opens his doors to the people of Damascus,

that they may lay down their burdens, and know joy !

everything, we now have, we have because of him

The merchant king provides for one and all ! He asks for nothing in return

Let his generosity serve as an example to us all

Everyone should strive to be as he

I'll talk ! I'll talk ! I've no interest in dying for him. His coin's not worth my life.

A wise decision.

What is it you want ?

I've business with The Merchant King.

Ah ! Good, luck with that

He rarely leaves his chambers.

Why ? Is he afraid ?

Not fear.Hate.He hates himself as much as he hates the people he pretends to serve.

Locks himself, away his personal quarters, out of shame.

He can't stay hidden forever

No.Those celebrations of his.He comes out to speak, to look down upon the people.

A sense of belonging I suppose.However brief.

What's wrong with him, that he would hide, like this ?

You'll see.Now, let me go.

Let you go ? So you can, tell him of my plan ?

I won't say a thing

No, you won't.

Come no further

Heresy, elsewhere please i've done nothing wrong, why are you doing this you're nothing

Let me get out of your way?

Watch it go, away

To, meet him that these barbarous acts might be avenged

you, display that one glorious leading soldier is he

Finest favor with, us then he, may grant us victory

The fires of war consumes the land and thousands of lives are lost in its defense

It seems a tragedy, but i say this is another you shouldn't. Be high regardless to god

Fighting for what we believe in?

There is no greater glory than this

It was good of you to come it is an honor to serve

What do you require ?

The letter i've given you must be brought to Salah ad-Din's camp.

Seek out the one they call Hisham, he will be able to help.Tell no one else of this.

None will know my mission. Then our business is concluded.
