Hello everyone! VK here!
And during this video full of infos...
We'll discuss a bit about the 3rd arc relased some days ago!
And we'll try to cover up everything together
Like the features, how to accede to it...
And also giving you tips like : what should we up first, or where to farm components...
or even EXP/SP, in order to progress easily on the first map (Bectas)
So! To unlock the 3rd arc, the only thing you need to do
And it may not be easy, you have to beat Karna Masta in MENON (not Mildran)
Once you killed it, you gain access to the 3rd arc
For those who are a bit late, keep doing the quests until you clear Menon, then it'll be fine
and you'll be able to do the 3rd arc quests
How to access to the 3rd arc menu:
As many people are stuck on the menu
Just click on the "Home" button on the main menu
Once you do that, you'll have the 3rd arc's home screen
It's basically the same, but blue, and you have a different team, it's normal!
The energy bar stays the same, though, it's shared between normal mode, and the summoner's mode (3rd arc)
If you're using energy outside the summoner's mode, your energy won't come back
There's no different energy bars for every mode, so plan your moves carefully
You'll have 3 menus from here, the quest menu (same as before), the summoning art lab menu, further rooms opens as you progress through the quests
At that point, the best rooms are unlocked when you finish Bectas (the 1st map)
And the arena, at that point it's useless to go there, as it's bugged, you'll lose instantly. (fix soon)
As before, you'll use your normal squad, not your summoner squad, so no worries!
At that point, we saw everything, maybe there'll be more menus as the game progresses
We saw everything, anyway, so no need to discuss it any further
So, basically, the 3rd arc is a sequel, of the main story where you'll have to play your own character
We even have a "Avatar button" on the screen, we'll talk about it later
As I said. You'll play your own hero, you'll up it, stat, level and element-wise, plus upgrading it's weapons
We'll go into further details later
And, you'll progress through the quests, trials, bosses ans such with your hero, and some units of your own roster
Let's see the menus! The avatar menu is available at the very beginning
But some options are locked, everything will be unlocked very shortly after the first quests of Bectas (the 1st map)
And the game will ask you to understand how it works and what you can do
This video's here to help everyone to fully understand this game mode
On the "Status" menu, you'll find your own character stats, weapon, LS, BB/SBB ect...
By the way, when you'll start playing, you'll see this screen , the "appearance" menu
And here, you'll have to choose your gender, haircut and your element
You can pick whatever you want, however, changing genders cost 1 gem
You can freely change your haircut and element though
You can pick your element based on what you want to level up
So, your character will grow over time, by completing quests, upgrading weapons and such
That was the first menu, you can change your element by pressing "change", your character will even change it's colors!
As for the "Summoning Arts", the elemental level
Click on the button, it looks hard to understand right?
To put it simply, you'll have to level up every element, like the EXP of your character or your units
It's not the same thing however
Keep in mind that you have 3 things to up, the personal level of your character, the elemental level...
and also the level of the weapons you can obtain through quests and bonuses
We see that we have the 6 elements, my earth element is lvl 20, it's maxed at the moment.
If you have a high level on a certain element, you'll be able to have stronger units
For exemple, we see that I can use 4* units or below at 100% of their potential
That includes their stats, the orange bar, or the BB refill rate, that's the blue bar
Having a high level on an element allows you use stronger BB, SBB or even UBB!
Also, the higher the level, the better, you will be able to use all of your units!
At the beginning, you can't use Omni-rarity units, they'll be locked, and if you can unlock them, their stats and BB refill rate will be extremely low
As we see, I'll be able to use Earth Omni's but they'll only have 35% of their stats and 25% BB refill rate (instead of 100%)
The 5* or 4* rarity units are the best choices to begin with
This will change in a distant future, when we'll be able to fully use Omni-rarity units, and it'll take time to farm!
Seeing the "Details" resumes what you can do with each element, for exemple, at the lvl 1 of every element
You can summon 5* star units
At that moment we're capped to the level 20 for each element, but the cap will be higher the more maps we'll have (up to the level 100)
in order to use every unit at 100% of their potential
So now, you can focus on your favorite element, or the best for you to clear the 1st map
It's not that hard to understand, you just have to find your way on the menus
Since it's rather new, it's understandable
Even if some players saw how it works on the other versions
Next menu : The parameter boosts, there's boosts to up your main stats, HC/BC drop rate etc...
To unlock these boosts, you'll need SP, to gain it, clear some quests, you'll earn them at the end of every quest
You'll also gain SP when you level up your character
And you can spend SP here, it costs a lot to get a boost
At that point we usually gain 3~4 SP
And you gain more SP per level up, depending on your current level, the higher level you have, the more SP you'll gain
But at the very beginning, a boost costs 10 SP, then 40,80, 130~160 up to a couple thousand SP
I'll also give you tips about what boost to focus first
The fuse menu, classic, up to 5 units to fuse to your hero
Each fusion will give EXP to the weapon you currently hold
Before we continue, let's have a look to the weapons
At the beginning you'll have the sword equipped, then you'll gain access to the spear, then the axe after clearing Bectas' bonus
When you level up these weapons, it's, as I said, on the fuse menu
You have to fuse some gods and crystals to your weapons, it's not mandatory however
It, to be honest, should be avoided, as it cost a lot of zel and material to gain EXP
But for those who are rich, go on, you will have a lot of EXP per fuse!
I don't even have crystals anymore, and it costs 3millions / 5 cristals fused!
It cost a lot of zels and your weapons are also capped to the level 20, for the time being
Just like the elemental level
I personnally recommand using the spear, it's the most efficient weapon
It greatly helps, as the spear gives you a huge DEF and REC buff on BB, and a regen effect on the SBB
As for the SBB, by seeing the details of any weapon, at the lvl 20, we unlock it
As you must rely on survavibilty on the first maps, the DEF/REC and regen effect are unvaluable to clear them easily
Since regaining HP is really hard with one ally and one unit. We'll see it later
Switching weapons is fairly easy, as you just have to touch a weapon to change, then press "select"
The fuse menu, that's done, then the Extra Skills!
The Extra Skills depends of the weapons you currently have, and those you have leveled up
These extra skills must be equipped, and you can have up to 2 extra skills at the same time
As shown there, I have two EX Skills aviliable, one given by the sword, the other by the spear
Ain't that hard to understand, but you have to know it
These little details are very important in fact, as the game over comes very quickly after our first quests
And then, we see everything in these menus, it's normal
Then, the spheres!
As for the spheres, it's basically the same, craft them, equip them... BUT!
3rd arc' spheres are only for your character, and they works as a swichable LS
As shown here, I only have 1 sphere, the +20%REC/HP one
If i equip it, then my character will have this effect as a Leader Skill
You can craft different spheres, and then, as i said, switch LS anytime
To craft them, go to the Town, then on the blue house (Note: NO, this house wasn't made for exchanges, that was an april fool's joke guys!)
Inside you got a list of LS spheres
Of course, it will ask to farm a bit, but it's really easy to get your first LS, just take your time
It's not that hard or long or even boring, so don't worry
The first items are dropped on the normal quests maps while the others on the 3rd arc quests
It's a bit useless to craft more that 1 LS sphere at the beginning though.
Also, I almost got the Sacred Flag , just a bit of work
I'll also finish the other LS spheres later!
Nothing particular to say, except that these things will determine what LS you'll have
Once you'll get your EX Skills plus your LS, you'll find the 3rd arc content easier
So what now, LS? Done?EX Skills? Also done! We covered most of the basics I guess!
Now let's talk about the summoning lab, shall we?
Basically, it's a training ground, where you'll get EXP for your character, weapons and elements
When you'll do quests...
Here's the 1st map, with 7 areas + 1 bonus
When you'll do your quests, and pick a friend, you'll gain STP
Instead of FP, of course
Be careful, some quests gives no STP's due to a fixed ally
You gain a base of 50 STP per friend, outside of events, when you can gain more STP's
And these points are spent on the Training Hall
Pick Summoner's Training ground
As you will soon have trials made for 3rd arc's gameplay, each trial will reward you with new weapons
You have 4 menus after that
(I have currently 2220 STP, obtained through quests)
And of course you can pick whatever you want, as it really helps
The 1st banner gives you loads of EXP summoner, the 2nd one EXP element, the 3rd one gives weapon EXP and the last one gives SP
These dungeons costs 0 energy, however, it costs a lot of STP
And of course the ratio STP spent per run is far more superior than what we gain though quests
You can't avoid this place especially when you have to farm EXP
To put it simply, you do your quests, then you farm EXP/SP, then back to your quests
The dungeons are quite easy, logic, but be careful, you can still lose if you're not paying attention, and you'll lose STP
When you start, you'll leveling up very quickly, and only the lvl 1 of the 4 dungeons will be unlocked
When you beat the boss of Bectas, you'll gain access to the lvl 2 of all the dungeons, more rewarding but harder
It's the same system everywhere, but the elemental & weapon leveling dungeon cost more STP than the others
(500 STP vs 300 STP for some levels)
Using these dungeons is mandatory in a sort of way, you can't progress easily without it
Now, time for the tips and how to optimize your time and ressources!
The first thing to do, is to farm for your first LS sphere, it's VERY important
As we saw it, it's not complicated
Do some quests here and there, check the wikis if needed, in order to find the locations of your drops
You craft your LS sphere, then you equip it on the menu "LS Sphere"
Then, continue your quests, when you begin, your character will be alongside Tilith 6*
She has the Sky Orb, LOL!
Then, you'll meet Reda, a new character you'll often see during the 3rd arc scenario (Note : Reda's playable on the JP server.)
After that, you'll be able to pick your own allies, Reda will do some come backs on your squad now and then, but not that often
Your allies will be the characters of other players
Allied units are forbidden on 3rd arc's mode
Keep going until you're struggling to clear the quests available due to a lack of damage
...Or even because you don't have enough regen.
Then you'll have to upgrade your weapons, elemental level getting SP and leveling your character
So here's a question : What should we up first?
Here's an advice, coming from me plus several players I know who played this mode on the other servers (And thanks you for that, guys!)
As for the EXP Summoner : You only gain stats, and nothing more, it's still important, but less significant than the other things
I think you should focus on leveling one element you need, first, to begin the 3rd arc
Some players will disagree, but IMO, the earth element is the more useful on Bectas
Since the last boss is a thunder element foe
And as such, you'll be able to tank his attacks easily
BUT, at the moment where you cleared the quests, focus on the dark/light elements
Since Dark and Light got a lot of useful units, or even EU exclusive units made for the 3rd arc.
Of course don't put everything you have on these 3 elements, the others will be useful, don't neglect them!
Just focus on one element first, to gain some confort, as you will be able to use stronger units of your "main" element
As we saw it earlier, the higher your LVL is, the stronger your summoned unit will be
On your unit screen, I didn't showed it, you're allowed to use 1 unit, then 2, then 3, and finally 4, but it'll come later
Plus, of course the summoner, It will be your lead and is a fixed unit, you can't make a team like your times in Ishgria for example
And of course, as we said it before, you also have to unlock some things with your elemental levels to gain access to 6* units or more, or even boosting their stats
Here, look my Cosette 5*, she can be stronger
If i want to use a 6*,7*, Omni, and having almost all of their parameters, i'll have to up my elemental lvl
I maxed out Earth element at the beginning to do the last boss easily, without stress or fails
Then i changed for the Dark element
So, in any case, i think elemental LVL is the most important thing to lvl up
You'll gain EXP for everything after every quest anyway
But you gain a small amount of EXP
When i said you got to focus on something, by the way, it was on the training grounds, not the quests
And we'll see later that some quests gives more EXP weapon/character etc...
So here's a recap : Level up your element first, then up 2 weapons at level 5 minimum
Why you're asking? Because of the extra skills!
Having 2 weapons lvl 5 is really easy to do, and really fast
If i recall correctly, with 1 lvl of summoner lab, you can get your weapon lvl 5 or 6 so yeah, it's really easy to do
And it really doesn't take that much time
Having 2 extra skills right from the beginning is really strong, especially the extra skill of the spear
Regen effet self + 10%HP, it's always appreciated, it's really strong against the bonus boss by the way, he does poison ailments
Once you get your 2 extra skills, keep the spear and max it, then the other weapons, as the spear is more useful when you start the 3rd arc.
Over time, we will have other weapons, so it allows you to wait until then
And finally, up your summoner level, as it'll boost your base stats, and you'll be getting SP's and the other elements (fire, water, thunder)
So, wich stats should we up first?
When we go on the "Parameters"' menu, we see our boosts unlockable with SP, i took the HP, DEF and HC/BC drop rate
In the order : BC/HC drop rate is a top priority, as you will drop few to no HC or BC, since we're struggling to refill our BB jauges, like the first versions of BF
It's like the very beginning of the game, where we couldn't use our BB's every turn
Even if it costs a lot, BC/HC drop rate boost should be a priority
Then, i pick more HP and DEF, as you will need strong defenses to survive the first maps
It's a personal advice, but still good to hear it
However, feel free to pick other boosts, as we have different playstyles
So now, let's see our spots for farming items/EXP
As for the elemental LVL, outside of the training grounds, it'll be on the Information Tower, Data Overload
This is where you'll have the best ratio EXP/energy
As for the summoner EXP, outside of the training grounds, it'll be on the Elevated Station, Ancient Wings
You'll have the best ratio energy/EXP
And, as for the SP, it'll be on Tech City Mersas, Soulless
These spots were found by other players, on other versions, I'm just giving you these tips, if you want to farm for something in particular, during your quests
And i guess we covered everything we need to know, if you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comment section below
I'll reply to it with pleasure, and I'll see you next time, for another video! Cya!
