My name is Rodger Koller and this video is going to be very quick

This is the second video related to the Méliuz challenge

and you might be asking "But what is this Méliuz challenge after all?"

I'll tell you what it is

So, without any further ado, let's get started

This is actually the first challenge

I'm supposed to show you a little bit about my city

and this is a bit tricky because

I'm new here

This is not really my city

I live here in St André now, but it hasn't been a long time

and I haven't had time to go around my neighbourhood and the city yet

The thing is that I'm constantly driving

as I said in the previous video

I've got three jobs and I hardly ever have time to go out

Whenever I have some free time

I travel in order to see my family

because they live really far from here

I thought about showing you the park

near here...Or maybe I should go to the mall

but I've seen some other Youtubers who are also taking part in this contest doing those things

So, I wanted to do something different

I could go to a restaurant and show you my food

but, you know, this is not Instagram!!!

People on Youtube don't care about what I eat

Therefore I got to the conclusion that I should do something more realistic

something closer to my true reality

I've decided to show you my perspective of the city

as you know, I'm constantly driving and this is how I see my city every day

When the world gives you apples, you should make some juice and I'd rather have some caipirinhas instead

But I have no vodka...

I don't really know why I said that

I might have gone crazy

but what I mean is

This is the way I see the city every single day. This is a very intimate moment for me

When I'm driving...This is when I think about the deep things of my existence

You may know me as the funny teacher

who cracks jokes all the time

but when I'm behind the steering wheel

I feel that I'm a different person

altogether

I get more connected to myself

Maybe because I spend hours in the car

talking to myself, I really seize the moment

and I love it

I see this as an opportunity to grow spiritually and mentally

This moment that I'm talking to myself and driving for hours and hours

When I'm not in an office translating or in a meeting or teaching

I'm driving

I'm driving to an event or going back home to teach via Skype

I have a big dream which I haven't revealed to anybody yet

and for that reason i must work really hard this year

No matter what

No pain no gain

and I'm not complaining about it

I know where I want to get to and it's rewarding to feel that I'm doing something to achieve my goals

so yeah, I'm going to work hard

and I'm not complaining about it

I'm vlogging now, I'm showing you the city

By the way, my friend is holding the camera right now

because it's not safe to drive and hold the camera at the same time

I've never done that, no... ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

What I like about what I see here is that i can actually see that the city is alive

Look at the colours, the movement

It never stops

and every day when I drive

around here, around the same area

I notice that there is something different

at least one different thing

and it's amazing

and it makes me wonder...

about:

how time goes by so slowly sometimes and so quickly at other times. It's insane!

I've lived in different cities before

I'm constantly moving

By the way, I'm looking for an apartment in SP

if you know anything, please let me know

So the thing is that I've had the opportunity to live in so many different places

and I see many differences when I compare them

and the bottom line is:

Everywhere I go, anywhere I am at the moment

I notice that people are people and places are just places

Ok, I'll try to explain what I mean by that

what I mean is a bit philosophical in a way

but I'm philosophical today

I've been very deep lately

but what I mean is that

I don't care much about the place I am at the moment

I have lived in the slums

in hostels, tiny houses, big houses and now I'm living in an apartment in Santo André

in São Paulo

and I've got to tell you that

for me

the place itself doesn't make any difference to me

The thing is, I'm happy when I'm surrounded by my friends, my girlfriend, my family

and I'm unhappy when I'm not with them

That's why I tell my girlfriend every day

I tell her that I love her

because she's more than just a girlfriend

she is more than just a beautiful woman and

yeah, she is hot ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

But I love her because she is my home

Wherever I go, I have her by my side and

then I feel at home

safe and sound

The last time I told her that

she looked at me and said:

"I love you too"

and then I, of course, asked her "Why?"

"Why do you love me?"

and she said:

"Because your body is muscular, your skin tastes like chocolate and your lips take me to heaven..."

"and you are so handsome"

I'm lying... She has never said that...

I'm kidding!

My birthday is coming and

and I think she is at home right now

buying me a gift online

She always does that

I hope she is using Méliuz because when you are buying things through Méliuz you get some of the money back

and we need to save money for our big dream

Well, the thing is...Look outside

All we can see are cars, stores, lorries, buildings, houses, parks, malls...

We basically see places...

and places are just places...

but people...

People are people...

and some of these people are my home

So, I can say that I love Santo André

The city I'm living in right now

because I feel at home here

Papa John's® | Double Cheeseburger Pizza 2018 | Food Review! 🍕🍔 - Duration: 5:23.

welcome to peep this out reviews with Ian K stay frosty

so while Papa John's brings back a menu favorite that's had many different

versions in the past it's actually the one that started it all but I've never

personally tried and that ends today with the return of their double

cheeseburger pizza and I have to say the dill pickles immediately hit me with

that color contrast along with the Roma tomatoes I absolutely love the way that

looks on top of this what this actually features is a zesty burger sauce on top

of ground beef so guys they're pretty much hitting all the notes on what a

cheeseburger should have and there's plenty of cheese to be had for sure it

sure looks pretty great and what also is great is the smell in my car right now

and take a closer look at that burger sauce it's almost like a Thousand Island

dressing if I remember correctly from the last one that I did we'll talk about

that in just a second but overall a very nice combination of cheeseburger

toppings on this one and of course you've got that crust to go around let

me pan around over here and give you an idea of the toastiness of the bread here

on this one definitely not a thin crust this is the standard one that comes with

the promo price and you got to love that authentic crust in the very back there

looking very nice going right into the cheese and of course the dill pickle the

Roma tomatoes and all the other goodies here guys but very very nicely done on

this one and you know we are absolutely gonna be going in on that garlic sauce

you definitely have to get some of the garlic sauce with this and I can't wait

to get into that for sure guys this is the returning double cheeseburger pizza

here at Papa John's let's most definitely peep out this flavor yesir the dill

pickles the ground beef and that zesty burger sauce are absolutely giving me

the essence of a cheeseburger aroma wise in my car right now let's dive in it's

the double cheeseburger pizza for 2018 here at Papa John's mmm burger sauce

right away mmm nice yeah definitely reminds me of kind of like a weaker

Thousand Island dressing with maybe just a little bit more ketchup in it but then

you get that ground beef flavor and of course the cheese to go with that snap

of the dill pickle not so much with the roma tomatoes just

yet but the whole combination gives you the idea that you're having a

cheeseburger just more flattened out let's keep going

it's really good yeah this definitely reminds me of that bacon cheddar burger pizza

that I reviewed here at Papa John's about a year or so ago you'll find that

review in the upper right hand corner of your display right now but overall the

same base exactly the same toppings just this one is missing that cheddar and

bacon obviously but guys a very delicious pizza nonetheless and it

really does emulate a cheeseburger pretty nicely you know aside from how

tasty that bacon cheddar burger pizza was the first time around what makes the

OG actually work for me right now is still gonna be those dill pickles I'm

really diggin the fact that it has a snap in the crunch even though they've

been cooked with the pizza themselves they still hold up pretty nicely and the

flavor absolutely adds to this one for sure

OK maybe they're just a little soft but they do have some snap to them and

they most definitely add flavor so speaking of flavor when you say we go

for a dip in some garlic sauce this is one of my favorite sauces if not the

favorite sauce that I love to get here at Papa John's nice hints of garlic

in the air and it is very buttery smelling on top of it here we go hmm

already instantly gets you in the back oh man that heavy garlic creaminess on

top of the butteriness of the sauce itself is off the chart it really brings

out the flavor on just about any pizza I've tried it with but when you have

cheeseburger guys going with this you already know garlic and cheeseburgers

go hand-in-hand as far as I'm concerned this is a nice pairing hmm here's one

more quick shot of this one for you it's exactly what I expected it to be I had a

lot of fond memories of checking out that bacon cheddar burger pizza the

first time around so I knew what I was getting into with this one I'm just glad

I can add it to the playlist of Papa John's reviews and definitely cross this

one off the list it is highly worth it guys and

absolutely get it with that garlic sauce yeah it's all about the dill pickles the

ground beef and that zesty burger sauce without a doubt those are the main

highlights of this one for sure on top of the cheesiness that you already know

from Papa John's the Roma tomatoes kind of blend in with everything so it wasn't

really tasting that too much but it's everything else that really shines and

if you're looking for next-level flavor without a doubt go into that garlic

sauce guys it really is the signature on Papa John's for a reason so overall I'm

gonna have to give the returning double cheeseburger pizza here at Papa John's a

rock-solid 9 out of 10 it was just different enough because it didn't have

the cheddar and bacon the last time out yet familiar enough because it was the

same base to really be worth checking out and I'm very glad that I did the

cheeseburger flavors worked so well on this one and

I can see why they've had many different versions of it over the years so I'm so

glad that it's back on the menu right now and that I can actually add it here

on the Channel for you to check out brand new in 2018 well new to me anyway

Main Tower - Frankfurt am Main | Germany Vlog - Duration: 5:26.

Looking out over Frankfurt Germany from the top of the Main Tower

This was our second full day in Frankfurt

after we'd gone on a full day excursion tour out to Heidelberg

we decided to go up on top of the Main Tower while we still had a chance

and before the Sun went down

I think the admission fee was about 7 Euros each maybe..

something like that

Great views..

It's interersting..you have to take a high speed elevator up there

and there's only one elevator so it takes a minute or two to get up there and a minute or two to get down

but it's kind of a cool trip

The observation deck can get crowded depending on the time of day

you can still....find a place to look out over the city

DCDT 2018 Cedar Rapids - "MyKey Takeaways" - Duration: 6:26.

Hey guys!

Just got back in town from the DCDT - The Division on Career Development and Transition in Cedar Rapids

Iowa. The conference this year was in a place. That was very calm

very very nice. The people were incredible... I will say

Cedar Rapids doesn't really have any Cedars.. and they don't really have any Rapids...

But, I am telling you... that place is so nice, so calm

so laid-back. And, it's exactly what I needed coming off of a week where everything was crazy

Just trying to navigate things in my classroom

Trying to get deep breaths, but not being able to

Going to Cedar Rapids and getting a fresh perspective on what I'm doing in the classroom, and what other people are doing as well

"MyKey Takeaways" from this conference are...

#1: THE PEOPLE: The people are so gracious!

Anybody I met at the conference, we're so incredibly kind and helpful and

sharing information that they've been thinking about working through or are doing in their own practice

Um, so great to connect with people!

I'm so thankful for the researchers that are out there doing hard work to get fresh information fresh

perspectives for us as practitioners

and helping us to see the importance of

creating

really good

transition goals

positive post-school outcomes

only happen when students are developing their own

self-determination

self-advocacy and that we as practitioners are helping them to create their long-term

post-secondary goals... and so, seeing what kinds of information needs to be gathered through the proper kinds of assessment

and formal assessments informal assessments and being able to tie all those things through the IEP process

That was critical!

Dr. Gary Greene

from California State University

Long Beach

some of his most recent research

Including "The Emperor Has No Clothes"... If you haven't seen my little blurb from Dr. Gary Greene, check that out

It's it's a really

important connection - to look at the kind of assessment tools that we're doing with students and tying that to the post-secondary

goals, and

linking that to annual goals in our IEPs. We have to do that and do that

well so that we remain in compliance, and so that we provide the right kinds of supports for students as they enter enter into adulthood.

Taking a look at the importance of

assessments and how we're selecting those if you haven't seen my video on that that

specifically calls that out

so important that we're doing the compliance work that we need to do so that we are actually

seeing those positive post-school outcomes and and our transition goals that are tied to valid and reliable

assessments that are selected from places that that demonstrate and show that.

Like, The National Technical Assistance Center on Transition - NTACT. If you haven't taken a look at that website

fantastic resource to take a look at! The Zarrow Center

putting out really great information and assessment tools

The TAGG Assessment: That's another

thing that I'm going to be implementing in my classroom to make sure that I'm generating goals - transition goals... that are tied to

valid and reliable

assessment data, and so those are some things that I found really critical

takeaways that I'm going to be implementing and hope that you do, too!

Another major takeaway for me from DCDT 2018

was Margo Izzo

giving her an explanation of

EnvisionIT. Margo is from the Ohio State University and she did an incredible job of

sharing how important a tool like this is as we seek to help support our students literacy skills

combining our

standards-based curriculum with post school transition goals. This is a this is a great

Example of a tool that can be used in the classroom to help

define what those post-school Career transition

opportunities and objectives are. If students are moving on to post-secondary education

this is a great way to gather all the information that's needed to go into their IEPs. Check that out!

It'll be in the description below - the links to this. Some of the other takeaways that I was able to

bring home with me, and I wanted to infuse into the classroom

in the coming weeks. SO many presenters highlighted great information like

The National Technical Assi stance Center on transition how important it is for all of us in the field as practitioners

to find evidence-based practices and

Things that really have have worked well and are working well

to support our work in developing great transition plans within our IEP s so I highly highly

Encourage you to take advantage of going to next year's conference in Seattle

my hometown fish in Seattle

It'll be a little different than Cedar Rapids there actually are Cedars and there are Rapids
