Well a package that I've been waiting on,
for over a month has finally showed up.
I'm hoping fingers crossed what they sent me is the right thing.
Been a long wait.
What it's supposed to be is a replacement TX for my Upair One.
The main board went out and wouldn't communicate with the drone.
So there was no flying for month and a half.
I haven't flown.
The drone out here, drone battery.
Plugging it in.
The bind and rebind procedure for the UPair.
The return to home switch down.
The throttle stick down and to the right.
And then turn on the controller.
It starts beeping.
(Fast Beeping)
Turn on the drone.
(Long Beep)
(Long Beep)
Now the channel appears to be off.
So I need to adjust it by pushing this little black button.
On the back of the remote.
Okay,,, looks like we got a good clear channel.
Control the camera gimbal, it's working let's see if I can control it.
Yep!
Sticks down and in.
(Drone motors start up)
The ESC's fired up! Motors running.
Stick straight down to shut down the motors.
Well after a long wait.
Finally got the controller and I should be able to fly now.
Look forward to seeing some
test flights with the with the new TX to make sure everything's good signal.
All that all the functions work but
Today was just unboxing and the setup.
Test flight of the Upair One.
With the replacement transmitter.
I have done the needed repairs.
And replaced the switch.
Replaced the cracked... antenna.
Turn on the controller.
There is the UP air logo.
Start the drone.
(Cough)
Full battery..
Okay I've got an image.
Got telemetry.
Waiting on the satellites.
See if I have gimbal control.
Got five satellites.
Jumped to eleven.
See if I can get at least one more.
And it's going to 13, bouncing between 13 and 14.
Arm the motors.
Start the video recording.
(Drone buzzes to life)
Do a compass calibration.
(Drone Buzzing)
You can see the flag over there blowing, there is some wind.
See if it locks in.
I got 15 satellites.
Having issues with the flight mode switch.
And I..
switched out the switch from the old controller and I'm getting the altitude hold.
So it's going to start drifting... see it drifting.
Put it back into position hold which is satellite and it looks like it's locking in.
So that's working there should be a third position.
And I'm not getting a readout on that... on the screen for it.
But the third position is what
everyone refers to is headless mode.
And it is working.
Have headless mode working.
But for some reason I'm not... I'm not getting it to switch on the display.
Which is weird but.
Yep, left is making it go left.
Right is making it go right.
Even though it's facing to the right.
Back is making it go back.
Front.. forward is making to go forward away from me.
I'm going to switch it back,
to altitude hold to see if it moves around.
Switched back on the display.
Now put it back in position hold.
Which is back on satellites and it's locked in.
Yep, now backwards is backwards on the drone
and not related to my position.
Got seventeen satellites.
Let's take it fly around a little bit.
Make sure all the controls are responding good.
Don't want to fly out too far over the woods. it is hunting season.
5.8 antenna had a crack at the base and it was loose.
So I took the antenna off the... the original controller and swapped it out.
I swapped out the mode switch.
The switch is working... it's it's just not displaying it on the screen as headless mode.
Not gonna go too far with it it's just too windy.
Fly around over top of the property here.
Eleven point three volts on the controller and I got...
eleven point seven for the drone.
Getting a slight bit of breakup, fuzziness actually... in the FPV.
I had to switch out the FPV monitor.
This monitor is actually off of my old, the original controller.
The one that came on it
did not display the controller battery levels.
I was getting level battery level for the drone,
but not the controller.
At ten point nine volts.
Going to go ahead and try to hand catch it.
(Drone Buzzing Loudly)
Well it looks like the Upair is back in business.
If you liked this video.
And you want to see more.
You can watch this one.
Or watch this one!
Until next time.
See you later...
