if for some reason you cannot hear me or if you're having trouble hearing any

so let's get right into it just a quick introduction for myself I am a certified
and experienced special ed teacher here in New York and that's where we are
based I know many of your capital users so you know some of you have not used
Capti or or it may be interested in pursuing to use Capti phrases this year
or the following year so this is going to be sort of like a hybrid webinar oh I
do want to just talk a little bit about Capti up front as an introduction to
what Capti is all about and then we'll jump right into the the meat potatoes of
this particular webinar which is these 3 new editions

okay just think like we had actually accidentally shared a screen there
that's okay so I'm just going to switch that right back
all right we're going to switch this okay we should be back to normal
okay so Capti you know we've we've been really excited and really happy with
what we've done this year we've received a lot of rewards as you can see and most
recently the most recent reward we've received is the EdTech Digest Award for
best special need solution 2017 no we beat out you know companies like smart
board so we were really happy about winning this category and we really
think that this is exactly where we you know where we plan to go when we
initially set out to create Capti it was initially created as a screen reader but
really blossomed into this this multifaceted literacy support tool that
it's become today our our our goal here our philosophy is to help teachers
differentiate their curriculum we're seeing differentiating the curriculum is
time consuming it's frustrating and it's something that you're seeing that you
know for each class is a variety of different students a whole you know a
whole variety of different needs throughout throughout each individual
classroom whether the student is dyslexic has ADHD whether they are not
native English speakers these are all you know sorts of populations that need
to be adhered to them getting some some something that we have no sound
okay so I'm just going to take a moment here to double-check the microphone
you

okay I'm going to sorry about the sound difficult this year seems some people
are saying that yeah you have to turn it on on the you might have to choose the
computer setting or you might try calling in calling it as a very tried
and true method of hearing the audio for the conference
so that'll be I'll leave the setting as is it seems like it's recording on my
end so like I said well we'll just offer up the recording to everyone at the end
if you're having some trouble hearing it I apologize to the difficulties we're
going to move forward here just so we don't go over time
so what is Capti know so for those of you who are using Capti already you know
this but for those who have not started to use Capti or maybe you're seeing Capti
for the first time we're really position positioning this software as a literacy
support tool for all students we are actively developing on this software new
features coming out every single month and really we're packaging it into these
three categories making sure that all of these features continue to make Capti
universally accessible right it's content independent it can work with a
variety of different of content areas which makes it so perfect for UDL
Universal Design for Learning and we've heard that from teachers every single
day it's also Universal accessible because it works on a variety of
different platforms Windows in fact it is especially great on Chromebooks and
of course iOS Android is currently being developed on and it should be released
in early 2018 if the literacy support tools are should
be obvious to you as I go through this while I'm not going to focus on it on
all of these tools today and we do by the way have a great learning course
that we just released last week on how to access a lot of these tools but I do
want to just touch on the fact that they exist so you have the high quality
text-to-speech you know the active reading and reference tools are there
for annotations translations built-in OCR which we obviously will talk a
little bit about today your vocabulary building tools like vocabulary lists and
word challenge games and test taking accommodation these are all packaged in
all of these very great comprehensive features are all packaged into this
platform this one tool which which you know has has given us these responses
from teachers who are saying or this is the type of thing that can replace up to
five EdTech gaps I'm already using and and that really comes into play with
something like OCR right we want you to stop using OCR apps just to OCR stuff we
wanted we wanted to build an OCR organically so it's part of the platform
naturally you're just going and going about your workflow and things our OCR
scanning by themselves and and that's kind of what I'm going to again be
focusing on today is this aspect of OCR scanning and how we've made it better
so the agenda it looks like this very very simple we'll talk a little bit
about the Chrome extension will talk about the OCR scanning PDF documents
within within Capti desktop and Capti online and then we'll be talking about
the deeper and new K through 12 iOS app and what the difference is between that
K to 12 iOS app and the current Capti iOS app so let's go and jump right in
here I'm going to back out of these slides and I'm going to go ahead and
start with Capti online I would actually also turn on my my annotation here just
so you can see my mouse a little bit better okay so some of you may not be
able to see this but that's okay for right now you should be able to see my
mouse cursor moving on the screen okay and this is this where I am right here
is the Capti online app right if you were to go to Capti voice.com and
sign-in this is where you'd be taken right this is the online version of
Capti so up until today or up until last a
couple weeks ago I should say we have not had an official Chrome extension
even though most of our users most of the students and teachers using Capti
right now are using them on Chromebooks so we wanted to make sure that we had a
nice robust Chrome extension that you can rely on to easily access this app
and as well as some other tools so for getting access to this Chrome extension
it's pretty simple I'm going to just open up a new tab here in my Chrome
browser okay and I'm just going to search for a Chrome Web Store
okay and as you can see the first results in Chrome obviously I'm going to
go ahead and click on that and this is the Web Store you most likely seen it
before this is where you go ahead and download new Chrome extensions for your
Chrome browser and if you have not seen this before definitely check it out it
has a great you know a lot of great tools that will really bring your
Chromebook alive because you know Chromebooks are great we see them in
schools all the time now but you know the Chromebook to need tools like this
they need extensions to really bring them to life and to really make them
worthwhile so while they're easy to set up and they're and they're cheap to get
you know these tools are really what make or break your Chromebook experience
so that's why we really wanted to have this Chrome extension there so I'm going
to go ahead and search for Capti (C-A-P-T-I) you should see it appears the first
result here and I'm going to click on this here just to give you an idea what
it looks like so we just released it recently and what I'm going to do now is
I'm going to go ahead and say add to Chrome
and it's going to say are you sure you want to do this and you're going to say
yes please do so I'm going to say add extension okay and that's all it takes
and now as you can see Chrome gives me a nice tooltip here saying okay Capti
voice has been added to Chrome use this extension by clicking on this icon and
this icon will be sitting up here in the upper right corner of your Chrome
browser from there on so I'm just going to go ahead and get
rid of this and I'm going to use now you know to use the chrome the
Capti Chrome extension it's just a matter of clicking on the copy icon here
in the upper right corner now you'll see a few different options
here the first being okay I can use this
Chrome extension to open Capti online so if I'm if I'm opening up my Chromebook
and I'm logging in and they open up my Chrome browser I can use this Chrome
extension almost like a bookmark so I can go ahead and click on the chrome
extension say ok open Capti online and it will take me
right to the Capti web app it will open it for me and it will actually remember
the last playlist and the last track that I was listening to and it will take
me right there
I can also use this Capti Chrome extension to open up the cap the desktop
client so if I click this button it's going to take me to this particular web
page on our website and it's going to ask you to download the Capti desktop
client so if you have not downloaded the client already this is what this is what
you'll see and you'll just be clicking download Capti on your device of choice
you know it'll either be for Mac or Windows
and this will allow you to use Capti voice offline on Windows or Mac computer
now I've already downloaded Capti desktop on my device so when I click
you'll see on the bottom of my screen here on my icon in my dock so I'm using
a Mac right now and sort of like on Windows when you download a program the
icon appears up on your desktop in Windows this is how it kind of works on
Mac if you're not familiar it'll appear on the bottom of my screen so you'll see
an icon similar to this in Windows as well and I'll go ahead and and click on
this icon and what it's going to do is it's
actually going to open up Capti for me in my default web browser now you'll
notice okay it looks obviously it's opening in Safari which is my default
web browser on this Mac but even though I've opened it up in
Safari it's it I can still use it offline so if it may look a little
deceiving because it does open up in a web browser but rest assured if I have
lost my internet connection you would still be able to access everything about
Capti so I can even go into for example the voices menu here and I can pre
install a series of voices for me so I don't have to worry about you know even
if I lost the internet connection I can still use the premium voices that I have
access to so again just to just review the desktop
client a great way to use Capti offline and you can access the Capti desktop
client very easily by using the Google Chrome extension
the final piece of the Chrome extension that I wanted to touch on prior to the
help is actually going to be the ad to Capti button and what you'll notice is
that with with with web pages up until this point you've had to use something
we call a Capti bookmarklet and I'm going to be honest with you guys
I hated it okay I didn't like the Capti bookmarklet I didn't think first of all
it was accessible so we really wanted to make a nice easy to use accessible
alternative to allow users to add web pages into any casting playlist so let
me go back to my Capti account here I'm going to open up I already
actually have opened up a I players called English 105
and just just to give you an idea what I was talking about earlier before we
introduced this extension in order for me to add a web page first I had to
click on add track and then web page and then what I had to do is I had to I had
to click and drag this bookmark icon up into my bookmarks toolbar and if my
toolbar wasn't if it wasn't available I had to make sure that the Chrome browser
was showing the chrome was showing the bookmarks toolbar and in order for me to
do this in the first place so there are a lot of things that I was required to
do and of course you can only access this by clicking and dragging so it was
not accessible but now with Capti the Chrome extension I can simply go to a
new website here so I'm going to go open another tab let's go to Wikipedia nearly
I was searching for with the PD article I'm going to turn
off my notifications because you don't need to be distracted
and I'm going to I'm going to settle on this Edgar Allan Poe article here from
Wikipedia and I'd like using Wikipedia because it's very long it has lots of
links in its head and said things like that so instead of again copying and
pasting this article into Capti what I can do is I can simply now use the
Chrome extension and say add to Capti and what it's going to do is it's going
to extract this article from my from it's going to extract this particular
Edgar Allan Poe article from this website and it's going to import it into
whichever playlist I put it in and you'll see if it doesn't appear right
away it should only take a couple of seconds there and then what I can just
click on this track and here is that entire Wikipedia and it does an
excellent job of parsing the headings and the subheadings so I can open up
this track and take a look at the sections for
example and get us nicely formatted table of contents for me so it doesn't
again a really good job of identifying the structure of the article formatting
it nicely to the table of contents and now I can use all of the supports in
Capti to listen or access the text such as high quality text-to-speech I was
unable to support himself so he enlisted in the United States Army as a private
on May 27 1827 so it is really you know up to you how you want to use Capti of
course whether it's for text-to-speech whether it's for changing the fonts you
know whether you know you just want to magnify the text or provide you know an
easy way to access materials but you know at the end of the day the idea of
being able to extract a content from any web page pouring it into any Capti
playlist that you create and then being able to access that playlist from any
device because remember everything will synchronize everything you do within
Capti will synchronize across all of your devices Capti is device agnostic
which means you don't have to worry about using it on just one particular
computer you can use it on anything that you have access to
so just to review with the Chrome extension odd cat the Chrome extension
can be downloaded from the Capti or the Chrome Web Store you just simply go to
as you can google search Chrome web web store search for cat DCA PDI and you'll
be able to access the Chrome extension to download it you can use the extension
to open open Capti web to open Capti the desktop client and to also open the web
page the health page that we have on our website to allow you to look up some
some troubleshooting maybe you're having some trouble accessing a certain feature
that's an easy way to get there and the Chrome extension of course is an easier
way and even better way a more accessible way to add web pages into
Capti the next thing I want to touch on is the
idea of switch shear OCR scanning which is my favorite feature in Kaffee it's
extremely useful and you know if you've ever been tethered to a scanner or a
copy machine especially when it's shared amongst a whole department in a school
or even a whole building even you know how how how much trouble and with how
time-consuming that could be so we wanted to really make it easy for you to
not have to first of all use use it rely so much on a scanner but more
importantly not have to use a separate app just to OCR scan your documents and
up until now you were not able to OCR scan PDF documents that were considered
to be inaccessible but that has changed so let me give you a quick demonstration
of what it looks like to have an inaccessible PDF so on my desktop here I
actually have a accessible PDF a PDF that I can plug into any text-to-speech
software including Caffey and it will read it for me and you can easily tell
when a PDF is accessible by simply by just selecting your or using your mouse
and trying to select text if you can highlight the text within the document
like that you know that it's accessible and that the computers are going to be
able to read that text to you I see a lot of PDFs like this but if you
use a scanner to scan a textbook page or if you have a textbook that is already
in electronic format but has not been scanned or OCR stand already it's going
to look more like this okay this is what we consider to be an
inaccessible PDF so watch what happens when I take my mouse and I try and
select this text it just doesn't work it's just going to highlight the entire
image because that's what this is it's essentially just a giant image so it's
Capti's job is to take this type of document and OCR scan it automatically
and I'll show you how easy this is to do so I'm going to go ahead and open up
Capti one more time okay and I'm going to go into my my local file because this
document is on my desktop so I'm going to go ahead and say add track
local file okay I'm going to go and find my desktop
gear and I'm going to bring in this Yeats PDF okay it's a very small PDF
and I'm going to go ahead and say import now this is relatively new you'll notice
a couple of things on here if you've used Capti before you'll notice these
changes if not let me point these out to you so you will see first of all this
check box at the bottom this is saying converted image or a scanned PDF into a
track using optical character recognition
that's what OCR stands for so this will automatically be checked for you when Capti recognizes that this is not an accessible PDF however you can uncheck
this if you like but obviously since we do want to OCR scan this since we do
want to listen to the text we want to make sure that it's checked you also
will notice that this dial this piece of information here it says one coin flips
for me back out here it's going to do that on the map it for me
go back so I was just trying to highlight that that text there but here
is one coin per page right we call these Capti coins this is if you are a
school if you are a teacher in a school that has access to Capti you do not have
to worry about these Capti coins you've already been given Capti coins for these
scan these scans have already been provided to you to use this is really
just for especially for college college level students or universities that want
to provide Capti we you know we allow colleges to provide Capti to their
students for free in a lot of cases and students can go ahead and buy these
coins ala carte whenever they do whenever they need to OCR scan textbooks
or or a workbook or some kind of some kind so these coins will let you know
just a reminder that each scan equals one coin and I'll show you a little bit
more about those coins in a moment so as I go ahead and I think okay check this
box I'm going to say use the original layout of this PDF please it's going to
now OCR scan this material using a PDF so as you can see here let's say we go
back yeah I screwed it up when I asked it to
a PDF of the OCR scan for me so I'm going to go ahead and just refresh the
page and we bring it in so you want to use the original layout for these types
of scans because with the rich text it's going to point like the structure it's
going to strip away the of the layout and things like that of the actual PDF
so you want to make sure that you're able to actually read what's there and
this let's see if I go back so I am using the data version here the
developer version of taffy so sometimes I do get some hiccups so you do not be
experiencing these tapes at this point so I'm going to just make sure this box
is checked which is a digital layout okay and I'm going to make sure I think
I know the issue I think I know the issue because I had altered this
document earlier just to make sure you can read it better so I'm going to turn
it back to normal the way it was
okay just make sure that that is as it was
so there is a file limit for four PS and you should you should see this this file
limit when you do open up now this is this PDF is well under the file and the
file size limit is 100 megabytes in PDF and that could really vary depending on
the type of PDF right so if you're using if you're using a document this is
giving you trouble so I'm going to go ahead and find a document that I have
already happening here so just going one moment I'm going to bring in
and I have here
so let me just go ahead and go to this guy so there with me one moment
once you picked a desktop okay all right so I'm going to go ahead and bring back
up the actual
harkaman here it's a local flower okay I'm going to go back to my desktop okay
so now this is while it is an image this works in the exact same way right so I'm
going to import this in its original layout just like so okay so it's going
to load and to turn up the number of pages for me
now this yarder megabyte limit that you might find on a PDF again that could be
it any number of reasons right it could be the number of pages in the PDF it
could be the level of compression I've seen PDFs that are thousands and
thousands of pages but are still under 100 megabytes and that's because it was
compressed very well it was it was something that you know even though it
was a lot of pages it was able to be kept under the file limit
awesome while this is currently being OCR skatin just a reminder that for for
any type of whether you're using an OCR and its original layout or a PDF in its
original a out or its rich text format it's totally up to you and what you'll
see here right off the bat is that it's going to first you know it's going to
choose the the particular font that you were looking in this particular file
that I had set myself you know that I enjoy but if you'll notice I can then go
ahead and double click anywhere in the document to change my reading position
and then use text-to-speech to listen to that the first Native American group to
build Mount and what is now the United States often are called the admins right
so even though that this was a technically it was an image file right
so when I open this up you'll notice I cannot select this text with my mouse
okay same thing with inaccessible PDFs it
works the exact same fashion so I encourage you to try this on your own
find it into inaccessible PDF plug it into Capti in that way using local file
using Google Drive and then try out the text-to-speech does a really great job
of being able to import that material so just to overview the OCR scanning can
make inaccessible PDFs accessible even if it's a PDF if it's an image file it
works in the exact same way and when you upload an image or or PDF you want to
make sure that you check the box that says OCR scan this document and make
sure you choose original layout so that it looks exactly like it was intended to
look and then of course the OCR scanning PDF is coming soon to iOS as well so you
while you can't scan PDFs yet on your iPad or iPhone it will be coming soon
but you can scan pictures on your iPhone or your iPad right now so you can give
that a try you have it
speaking of the K through 12 app or the iOS app say we have a new app on the App
Store called Capti K through 12 and it looks just like this on the bottom there
as you can see and I'm going to just show you where to get it first obviously
you go to the Apple App Store and I've already started searching for
Capti k-12 on the App Store here I'm just going to say search okay and open
this up and what you'll see is when I go ahead and download it you'll see it's
actually in the education section of the App Store with other text-to-speech apps
and when I download it from that education section of the store it's
simply you know just like any other app you download it you open it up you log
in using a Capti password and you're going to go now you're probably asking
okay why are we talking about this if it's exactly the same as the previous
app well there are a couple of there are actually two very distinct differences
first and foremost you can now log out of this app that might be the first
thing you notice when you log into Capti is that you can log it and you can log
out of Capti k-12 app which means that you can now share this this you
know this device that you may be using with the student with someone else if
you you know if you had a class that have iPads maybe not enough for
everybody you can share them amongst the students and you'd be able to log out of
this app so you can pass it to somebody else so if you click log out
I can now sign in using the exact using the same app but using a different
identification you'll also notice something relatively
new is that I could use my Google ID to sign into iOS now so I don't have to
remember my copy password I could just simply use Google to sign into Capti on
my iPad or on my iPhone so I'm going to go ahead and log back in here
back into my my demo account here using the using the slow method of
of just typing in my information all right bottom line here I am on back
in so that is the first major change with the K to 12 app is the fact that
you can log out the second most important change is the fact that we've
actually removed the in-app web browser we've disabled it so if you go to add
track for those of you who have used the iOS app before you might remember that
there is an option here that said web browser so that that is no longer the
case because of a rule within the Apple App Store you know if you had an a web
browser built in the App had to have been rated 17 plus but since we removed
the ad the web browser from this particular app it is now appropriately
rated 4 plus so if your school was apprehensive of downloading this app
because it 18 plus that's no longer the case and and by the way the ads a
browser that was in there you know there was some I got some comments saying that
they would you know was it possible to you know circumvent our school firewall
with his browser absolutely not it was just a built in web browser and
apples rules state that if there's a browser built into the app
then it has to be rated 18 plus so we just went ahead and removed it and it's
more appropriately rated 4 plus now even though we remove the web browser we
wanted to still allow you to add web pages into your playlists on iOS and you
can still do that if I go ahead and for example open up the Safari app I'm on
Wikipedia right now you can use your Safari browser in iOS to add to your
capti platform and I can do that just just like this you'll notice each
browser that you use whether it be Safari or Chrome or what-have-you has
this option to share your material okay so I click on this
button at the top and if I scroll through my apps you'll see here's my
Capti iOS app option I can just simply tap Capti and it's going to add that web
article to Capti also as you can again extract web pages just like you could on
the original Capti app but this time you're going to do it within your
favorite web browser using Safari you can use Chrome you can firefox
whatever you use on your on your iPad or your iPhone that would be how you add
web pages using these browsers into any of your capti playlist
so again just to review with the capti k through 12 app it can be downloaded in
the education section of the App Store
because now it is rated 4 plus it allows you to log out so that you can
share devices among students so you don't have to worry about uninstalling
the app and reinstalling it whenever you want to change the user
and of course now with the disabled the in ap web browser but you can still use any
other browser in iOS with Capti
so now that we've covered these these main points I just want to review for
you how you get how you can get Capti we use annual subscriptions for capti you
know it is a very streamlined our pricing setup is very very easy to
understand you have three tiers groups schools District for groups it's really
for any number of users that are that that amount to less than a school right
so if you're just using it for a class or for a group of students with your you
know your AT caseload this is something we recommend to you it's it's
a minimum of ten users twenty dollars per student staff uses it for free its
device diagnostic it works on any devices they can synchronize between all
of your devices and these subscriptions can be further customized so these
prices are subject to change based on what you want you know we work with
schools very very you know personally so it's based on whatever they want for
their particular students if they want to provide OCR scans for them
they don't have to if they don't want to they can choose which voices and they
can you know the price can be even lower from there there's no fees whatsoever
these accounts can be set up in less than a day it's an extremely easy
process so if this is something you're interested in
I'll give you you know I'll throw my contact information or our contact
information at the end after a question and answer so you can so you could reach
out and we can discuss this even further
so I'm going to take this opportunity now to answer some questions I know
we've gone over time a little bit here due to some technical issues so if you
have any questions I've seen some questions come in as we've gone through
this I'm going to take this opportunity to answer that for you so I'm going to
go through some of the things that have been after a but feel free to keep
sending in questions so let's see the first question I noticed as I was going
through the the presentation does Capti work with Google Docs and other tools so
yes Capti can work with Google Docs and Microsoft Word and you know most
other major word processors now we don't use a toolbar so we're not actually you
know you know presenting some sort of an overlay on top of the screen that you
would you know use within Google Docs or Microsoft Word you know the student or
the teacher can use these word processors with which they're used to
using they prefer to use them you know type whatever they need to type save the
document and then upload directly into Capti using Google Drive or Microsoft
onedrive these are two cloud storage services that are fully integrated into
Capti so it would just be a matter of logging into either those services and
finding your material it's all fully integrated and you don't have to open up
another tab to access it you're on to download it first it's all fully
integrated and can be brought into capti easily both on iOS and on
traditional computers and Chromebooks
do you have to pay for the voices yes you will have to pay for some voices not
all voices we have what we consider to be premium voices and we use the word
premium we don't use it lightly they are very very high quality voices you may be
used to use hearing what we call system voices that require you to you know you
know put up with something that sounds like a robot you know it's something
that is not necessarily made for long-form listening it's made for short
instructions like Siri so some premium voices when we work with schools we give
them premium voices up front but if you are using an individual capti account
you you would have to buy each voice individually for each device so that's
why if you're a student or if you're a teacher an educator of some kind in a
school setting we recommend using our school accounts
because we give them give these options to you upfront and you don't have to
worry about buying them separately and downloading them on each device
separately can I open a bookshare doc and Capti to
access other voices yes you can Bookshare is actually fully integrated
with Capti as well you can simply use Bookshare as one of the sources so when
you click Add tracks inside of Capti you'll be able to go right into the
Bookshare library you actually no longer have to use bookshare's website you
don't have to use Bookshare's reading lists your capti playlists are essentially
going to replace your book share reading lists you know we have a partnership
with Bookshare where you know we've been partnered with them for a few years now
so you have a very good relationship with them and they provide us access to
their library so Bookshare works really really well with Capti
you can change the speed of the voice at any point it's set to 160 words
per minute by default and you can slow it down or speed it up as high as 500 words
per minute if you'd like as well so the voices are very customizable in terms of
speed this can be done on iOS as well
ah
yes we have a free versus paid comparison short and it is free to use
with Bookshare to some extent Capti can be used for free you know forever but
there are some features that are based on what we consider to be premium
features and if you go to our website Capti voice.com and you click on
believe it's education let me just double check they change the change
the names of the links sometimes on me and I just want to make sure I got the
right one if you go to Capti voice.com and if I log out here it's actually
called pricing that's what's called you go to pricing and you scroll down this
table right here is going to give you a glimpse at the differences between free
personal and organization
you I'll stand back my chat here okay so
we're getting some additional questions are you saying that this can be used
free with Bookshare for students or just individuals this can be used free to
some extent there are features that would require a subscription with Capti
Bookshare is free of course and Capti can be free if you'd like but if you
wanted to do certain things you'll notice if you take a look at this chart
on our website that there are some subscription-based features versus some
free features so it's up to you how you ultimately would like to use Capti to
determine you know whether or not these features are valuable to you um if you
have a student who's blind low vision will Capti work with jaws able to OCR
material themselves yes Capti will work with jaws and NVDA these are two
software that we test it with with individuals who were visually impaired
so they certainly will work Capti was originally designed as a screen reader
so we definitely have a lot of supports in there for for those individuals
especially keyboard shortcuts and that that includes the keyboard shortcuts
with you know with jaws they can use the key combination pastor to access our own
keyboard shortcuts if they'd like so yes it does work well with those screen
readers is the coin cost per page or per scan it's actually that's that would be
one in the same so each scan would be essentially one page so each coin would
allow you to scan one page of a document and ultimately when it comes to the scan
you know you can continue to buy more scans you know if you wanted to for I
think it's about five dollars for additional 50 scans so yeah you do have
to keep an eye on how many pages that are in these PDFs right because some of
the PDF textbooks can get up there and pages but again if you have a school
account with us this is all something that we talked about up front we get me
give this to you you don't have to worry about the coins and you can just go
about your day and then and about your scanning

uh last question is will there ever be a tool that allows typing on the document
yeah that is something that we hear often and that's something that we are
currently researching on how to best implement it into Capti for right now if
you want the student to be able to input responses to maybe some sort of an
assessment if you wanted them to answer some questions we have something in this
in the ending platform called assignments which allow you to add
questions of various types to any attach them to any text document so this would
allow you to sort of allow the students to be able to import input answers and
responses using all the supports and calculate text-to-speech so these are
that's something that you can use for right now but in the meantime we are are
continuing our research when it comes to being able to do this do that sort of
thing and do it right and do it in a very user friendly manner so that is
something that we are currently looking at something that is requested often so
keep an eye out in the coming months for more announcements on that
