The #1 Thing That Fortnite MUST ADD! (Fortnite Battle Royale Ranked Game Mode) - Duration: 10:17.

Hey what is going on guys, in this video today we're gonna be going over the #1 thing that

Fortnite needs right now, and that, is a ranked playlist.

Dedicated ranked playlist's are a staple of a ton of the most successful and popular video

games of our era.

Just to name a few of the most notable examples: Halo, Call of Duty, Overwatch, League of Legends,

and Counter Strike have all successfully implemented some form of a permanent ranked game mode

into their games.

A mode where you can play with and against other players with your same skill level while

continually ranking up or down based on your performance.

Although Fortnite has been around for about a year and a half now, and Epic games is clearly

very dedicated to the competitive potential of their game, there's still no real sign

of a ranked mode on the horizon.

Don't get me wrong, this wouldn't be as simple as just adding a new weapon or item into the

game.

It would take a lot of time, effort, and other resources from Epic to get this done.

But, it would be worth it, and by the end of this video, I truly believe that I'll be

able to convince you guys, that a ranked playlist would be one of the only possible additions

to Fortnite, that would benefit literally EVERY single person who plays the game.

So, without further ado let's get right into.

So let's start this video off by going in-depth into why a permanent ranked mode would be

beneficial for all fortnite players, no matter their skill level.

Let's begin with the most obvious beneficiaries of a ranked mode, the really good fortnite

players.

And although I don't think it's too difficult to understand why the best of the best Fortnite

players want a ranked mode, I wanna share a quote from nickmercs that really puts it

all into perspective.

After playing the winter royale qualifier a few weeks ago he made the following statement

on stream.

Ill tell you, I wish we could play in those qualifiers right now, People have been

telling me about these ranked playlists that they want, and for a long time Ive kind

of been against it.

I see what Epic is doing by keeping everybody in the same playlist, in the same lobby, you

know, everybody in the same pot.

I get it.

I see what thats all about.

But now, after playing that for 12 hours?

(referring to the winter royale qualifiers) I dont want to play this (referring to

public matches).

I dont want to do this.

This sucks.

Its slow, it's full of a bunch of pop-tarts, nobody is about it."

And just the way he said it, you could tell that was how he really felt it about it.

And this is a common feeling amongst most of the top fortnite player like nickmercs

and all of the other pros you see competing in the top-level competitive events.

And it's probably the biggest reason why the pop-up cups in Fortnite have been so well-received

by the pros specifically.

But, you gotta understand that although those pop-up cups are nice, they aren't the same

thing as a dedicated ranked playlist/game mode.

Each cup only runs for a few hours during pre-determined times, and whatever point amount

you reached in the cup ends up being erased as soon as it ends.

While a legitimate ranked mode is available to be played 24/7, always gives you the ability

to progress your ranking, and maybe does a seasonal reset of ranks every few months.

But, I don't think it's too hard to understand why a ranked playlist would be awesome for

pros, and, nobody really debates that fact.

However, what a lot of people don't understand when it comes to ranked, is that it would

honestly probably benefit bad and even average players more than the pros.

It's an absolute fact that Epic Games is for the most part, always trying to make their

game as new player-friendly as possible.

They basically want guys who are just playing the game for the first time in their lives,

to be able to get a victory royale ASAP.

If the game becomes too difficult for new players to succeed in, then they'll stop playing,

then the player base begins to diminish, and that ends with Epic making less and less money.

And a lot of people see that as "scummy" or "greedy", but, the fact of the matter is,

it's the same way with pretty much every video game that makes a large chunk of their money

from in-game purchases.

That's why you're always seeing Epic try to tip-toe this very thin line of adding items,

adding weapons, and making changes which reward bad players while also trying to not ruin

the game for their most dedicated players.

Sometimes it works and other times it ends in a disaster like you saw with the infinity

blade.

So, let me explain to you how a ranked playlist would help new players more than any possible

noob-friendly weapon or item that Epic could ever design.

I'm recording this video right now at about 4 PM on a Saturday.

Lets pretend that I'm Tfue for a second.

If I wanted to hop on and play some Fortnite against enemies I would have 2 options and

only 2 options.

I could play whatever LTM is out right now, or, I could play a regular game mode (solos/duos/squads).

Now most of the time these LTMs are just silly game modes that honestly aren't all that fun,

so, I choose to play public matches.

And since I'm Tfue, I'm going to go into each public match I play and just absolutely dominate

every thing in my path.

I mean, I bet that tfue has singlehandidly made at least a few newer Fortnite players

quit the game all together just because of how easily he killed them.

Now, let's do this scenario again, it's still 4 PM on a Saturday, I'm still tfue, but, this

time there are 3 options instead of 2.

Whatever LTM is out, public matches, and a permanent ranked mode.

Since I'm tfue and I love playing against other competitive players I'm going to pick

ranked, and now public matches are safe from my reign of terror.

And you may say, "oh that's just 1 guy, who cares?" but trust me, so many really good

Fortnite players would do the exact same thing as tfue and play ranked over pubs 9/10 times.

This would plain and simple cause a MASSIVE dropoff in the overall skill level of public

match lobbies: solos, duos, and squads, all of them.

That may sound like a negative thing at first, but, for Epic that probably sounds like music

to their ears.

And even though I'm about 99% sure this would happen, it is still just a theory.

However, I think you can already see somewhat tangible proof of this, just on a smaller

scale.

Try to pay attention to the skill level of the the lobbies you play in when there isn't

a pop-up cup going on vs. when their is a pop-up cup going on.

And you also gotta make sure the game modes match-up, so like a solo-pop up cup will obviously

have the biggest effect on public match solos.

It may just be confirmation bias on my part, but, I seriously believe you can see the drop-off

in the skill of a lobby first hand in that scenario, because all the best players are

playing the solo pop-up cup instead of just normal solos.

So, if a ranked mode would be beneficial for every fortnite player, why isn't it in the

game yet?

It's a fair question to ask of Epic, and it's a question that a lot of people have already

asked and continue to ask.

Fortnite may be the most successful video game of all time and Epic has proved time

and time again that they will go above and beyond to make Fortnite a more enjoyable experience.

So, I don't really buy into the common answer of "Oh, Epic is just lazy that's why they

haven't done this yet."

I believe that the reason we don't have ranked yet, is because it will be very challenged

to find a scoring system for ranking up/ranking down that works in Fortnite.

At the very beginning of this video I mentioned about 5 different games that have had or still

have a successful ranked mode.

Those games were halo, call of duty, overwatch, league of legends, and counter strike.

Well, all 5 of those games are team vs. team based games, while Fortnite is a battle royale

game.

Using overwatch as an example, since that's the game I had the most ranked experience

with, it was a simple as this: After playing a few placement matches at the beginning of

each season you would be assigned a skill rating.

And in every game every player in the lobby would have very near the same skill rating.

Therefore, if your team won the game you'd gain skill rating points and if your team

lost the game you would lose skill rating points.

On top of that, your personal performance would be factored into how many points you

either won or lot.

This system simply wouldn't work in Fortnite because there is only 1 winner in a match

which contains 80-100 players.

So that is hands down the biggest question mark when it comes to a permanent ranked mode

in Fortnite.

Because if Epic screws this up, it could absolutely ruin the ranked experience in general.

I believe that the scoring and ranking up/down system would kinda have to work like a pop-up

cup.

Let's say each kill is valued at 1 point and certain placement thresholds are also valued

at 1 point.

It would have to be something like: Anything under 2 points in a game you lose skill rating,

2 points exactly your skill rating stays the same, anything over 2 you gain skill rating,

and obviously the higher over 2 you get the more rating you gain.

And those are just arbitrary numbers, and just one example of a possible scoring system

that could work.

The truth is, this is something that Epic would really have to spend some time to get

down perfectly, because it is very challenging in a battle royale game.

So, I hope you guys enjoyed this video and if you watched the entire thing be sure to

My Morning Routine - How To Be Productive, Efficient, & Enjoy Life Everyday - Duration: 14:21.

What's up you guys Jason Wardrop here and in this video I want to break down my daily routine

I've actually had a lot of you asked about my daily routine here on this channel whether it's on YouTube live or down in the

comments section

So I figured you know

I just shoot a video kind of breaking it down in I'll break it down kind of into two different parts because my

Routines kind of change for the most you guys have been following me on my channel here about two and a half months ago

I had a little big boy, so i've got a newborn which obviously kind of changes up your schedule just a little bit

but I'll kind of share like what I was doing before and how I've kind of adapted that and

Really what this all comes down. So you guys there's a great book that I highly recommend everyone reading

It's called when it's whe end and it's like the science of timing or something like that

So the author is Daniel pink if you guys get the audible version the guy's actually pretty funny so I highly recommend getting on audible

but it all he like basically breaks down like your sleep chrono type I think is what he calls it and

when you should be doing different things based off of like your patterns and when you function best and

when you're most alert cuz like obviously there's some people there like

more early birds or some night owls and so you just got to kind of take that and effect and

Know what your personality is and what you kind of like when you act best. So I I'm more of the early bird

Doesn't mean that you have to be an early bird to actually like see success and have results

I've got several friends are more of the night. Owl types are very successful

where I design on our team, he's an amazing designer super talented and

He'll be like I know not to text him or message him before 11:00 a.m

right where I've already been up like 6 7 hours or whatever and then he'll be messaging me at like 12:30 or

1:00 o'clock in the morning, and I'm definitely out

So obviously if you're working with somebody that's like a different sleep Khurana type than you are. It makes it a little bit difficult, but

Just keep that in mind so

Anyway, so what I do is basically I I'm like always early to bed early to rise type person

I need an 8 full 8 hours of sleep

So like I know there's some people are super successful that like, you know, they're like, oh, yeah, like we're sleeping three to four hours

Guys, I I could never do that

Like my body would get sick and my wife honestly makes fun of me because I do need like eight hours

Like I usually can like if I go to three days with it with just seven hours I can get by

But eight hours is kind of like my my golden ticket. So I'll go to bed each night at 9:30

I'll get up at 5:30 a.m. And really quick just taking a step back this all starts

Like my daily schedule my weekly schedule all this starts

Sunday evening. Okay, so Sunday's kind of like a day

I'll just relax I'll go to church hang out with my family and all that stuff

And then Sunday evening is like we're usually around like 7 or 8 o'clock at night. Not too late

but

It's when I map out my whole week everything that I need to do

During that week and then even if sly beginning of the month everything I want to accomplish in that month

And then I have a calendar

I've got this notebook where it shows like each day and has like a time like every 15 min is scheduled out

And then if I do have any appointments, I'll mark those appointments in there. I will mark any, you know meetings any live webinars

I'm doing any trains or anything like that

so I'll just kind of get everything mapped out and they don't make this giant list of

Everything that I want to accomplish and usually like I'll make it kind of folks around like a couple core goals

Like maybe three to four core goals of big products that I want to accomplish and then those three to four big projects

I will like get them into like more miniscule projects. There's every big project

Obviously, you've got like, you know, 20 to 30 smaller projects or tasks that you need actually perform, right?

So kind of map that out and get those all into place

So Sunday evenings guys, that is key when I don't do that on a Sunday evening. I

Noticed that my week is a lot less productive because then you like wake up Monday morning and instead of diving right into work

You have to go plan everything out and it just it takes away from that brainpower where my brain power

First thing in the morning is just so crucial. And so what I do

Getting to the topic of the the actual video. Sorry guys is I wake up about 5:30 a.m

And this is this is pre baby. Right? So hit pretty baby. Then I'll kind of say how its adjusted. So 5:30 a.m

Then I'll go down

I've got these massage chairs

And I absolutely love them cuz like just kind of like warms up loosens my back before I hit the gym, so 5:30 a.m

Wake-up, I go downstairs. I'll use a drink like a big glass of water

I have this big water bottle drink tons of water go down and I will read for about 20 minutes

Just kind of like wake up a little bit mentally and do some like just you know, I'm not necessarily meditation

But just kind of like visualise through the day of like what I need to do what I need complicated

Around 6 6 to 7 and at the gym, I'm listening to you know podcasts or an audio book

I've got a ton of books on audible that I

love just kind of lists of that those that like one and a half speed so I can

get through them a lot quicker than just like the slow reading and then I'll get back from the gym and

I'll take quick shower cuz I just work better. I perform better when I'm like feeling like clean and rejuvenated

so I'll take quick shower and

Even though my sleep chronic type guys actually if you gotta go there there's a quiz on like that book the the wind book

I was telling you about where you can take a quiz and they'll tell you like what like animal you are

I think there's like a dolphin lion bear a deer. I I don't remember all of them, but

It'll tell you when you should strategically do everything and it says like based off my sleep chrono type

I should work out in the afternoons

But I love working out in the mornings just because it just gets me going like it gets me

Rejuvenated my Bloods pumping all that stuff when I get back from the gym

I'll shower and then I will go straight into work like I so I do intermittent fasting one because you know

there's some health benefits and all that stuff, but also

It's super helpful when you're like trying to optimize your time because I can go down

I only have to eat two meals a day two big meals a day

You know starting at my first meal I eat at 11:30 and then one usually in the evening probably like 5 5:30

As opposed to like having to go after the gym make breakfast and then eat lunch and then eat dinner

It's just like I don't know. It just gets annoying for me

Just like kind of continually make food cleanup and all that stuff just takes a lot of time

so anyway

Get over the gym shower

jump right into work and then eat around 11:30 jump right back into work and in this book the the

Power or the science of timing. Yeah, it's called when science of timing

It talks about like how naps are actually super beneficial

And he talks about something that's kind of a cool concept. He calls it the napa. Chino

so basically the idea is

Around like two three o'clock when you start like kind of tapering off in the afternoon your minds kind of worrying now

Especially for the early birds the early risers

What you do is you drink some caffeine and then you go and you take a 2025 minute nap

But it takes about 25 to 30 minutes for the caffeine to get into your bloodstream

So when you wake up from that nap

You're like super

rejuvenated because you just woke up from a nap and then also the caffeine starts to hit your bloodstream and it's just like

That's why I call it the nap Pacino. It's it's awesome

And I don't do that every single day

But days usually like on Wednesday Thursday when it's a little bit later in the week

And I'm kind of like getting a little bit burnt out

I'll sometimes take a nap, but it just really helps like rejuvenate and so I can go back down and work and

Then I'll usually work until and if I don't take a nap sometimes I go up now

I'll go upstairs and I'll hang out with my little boy for about thirty minutes. Then I'll work till about 5:00 5:30

sometimes I work till 6:00 if you

Know I've got a ton of stuff to do but really just I don't work too much later than that

Okay, and the thing that I feel like a lot of people mix up a lot of times is they ask like how much time?

Should I be working or how much time does it take to start a side business or how much time is to blink, you know?

And really guys time is just it's it's like a man-made thing really and it's more you should be focusing on

output as opposed to time

And will you go through and like me without my mice week that's planned out on Sunday evenings?

I can accomplish more in about three hours then most people can their entire week

Because they don't have a plan. They don't know what they're doing. They don't they're just kind of like

Twiddling their thumbs trying to think about what to do. They don't plan anything. They spend more time planning a one-week vacation

Than they do spending time like planning their whole entire lives

Right, so that one hour that I spent Sunday evenings is key. And then the time is really irrelevant

That's why I feel like I can sometimes be done working at 3:30 in the afternoon

It's like hey, you know

I'm just gonna take some time off spend it with my wife sitting with my little boy and just do whatever

Because I am just like super focused I go whenever I'm working guys

And this is key. I put my phone into airplane mode. So our company we use slack. It's a little messaging notification service

I shut off slack shut off Facebook. I don't go on social media

I don't have any social medias on my phone with exception of YouTube

Just to be able to go through and do like YouTube lies and all that stuff but Instagram Facebook all that stuff Twitter

It's just off my phone because it's just complete time wasters. And if I'm not working I want to spend that doing other things

It's not just like looking at how great other people's lives are, right

and that's this is really not my core focus and so like I'm

Super drilled in when I'm actually working super focused and really guys since having my little boy

Or obviously my wife having a little boy, right?

The only thing that's really changed in my schedule is I'll still get up at 5:30

But usually like obviously since she has to get up in the night and like feed him and so all that stuff

What I'll do is if he starts crying like from 5:30 to 7:00

That's kind of like my time like I take him and so instead of going to the gym right away

I'll usually still get up at 5:30

I read do all that stuff then I've got this little monitor if I hear him crying. I'll run up. I'll grab him

But I'm still like when I'm holding him, I'm listening to podcasts. I must an audible. I'm just getting good information

I'm like, you know in a sense reading books learning educating myself trying to get better at my craft at you know

Building a business and then everything else from there on out usually around like 7 o'clock

my wife's had a good, you know, 90 minutes of just

Uninterrupted sleep. And so then I give him back to her

It's usually like you know

He needs to eat again by that time typically and then the rest of the day is kind of pretty much the same actually

I do so

That it will go to the GM at like 7:15 until about 8:15, but then everything else is pretty much

Consistent there. So anyway guys, I hope this was and then at night once again real quick

I'll be done working between 5 to 6 the kind of opinion on the day and then I'll try to be in bed by

9:30 so that I can get up again the next day at 5:30 in the morning. And so I get my 8 hours

So anyway guys that's a quick rundown of my daily routine kind of a little mix of the weekly routine as well

Sunday night planning session Monday through Thursday is hardcore focus on the Arsenal marketing software growing that business

And then Friday mornings as you guys know

I

shoot my

3 to 4 YouTube videos depending on how many I need a shoot or if I need to catch up if I've been traveling or

Whatever's going on and then Saturday

Typically, I will take it off to kind of do some housework help my wife out around the house pick up and all that

and then

most Saturdays, I'll usually spend still about 3 to 4 hours working just because

Honestly guys I enjoy what I do and if you guys enjoy what you do

You'll honestly want to do it more and then so I'll spend three to four hours and then Sunday

just take completely off and

You know just hang out family. Go to church do all that good stuff

so anyway

If you guys have questions if I like miss something or hopefully like like Jason I don't I don't believe you do this or whatever

Just drop a comment down below

I'm more than happy to go through and

kind of detail it out for you and I could even go through and like do like a step like a 15 like

In college, I I kind of had this and kind of get in the habit

Where I had it written out on a whiteboard right by my bed, and it was like, okay 5:30 wake up 5:45

I'm reading but like every like few minutes like just totally scheduled out at least from like 5:30 to 9:00 to really have just like

That ideal morning and then it's kind of just become habit, so I don't really need that anymore

But that's really what helped me when I was first getting started

Getting those habits of getting up early you guys it all ultimately it comes down to discipline, right?

like if you do it like once or twice like if you go to the gym once or twice and workout

You know, you might get sore you might sweat a little bit. You're not really going to series

but it's the small and simple things right the small things that are

Compounded they're built upon day by day doing this every single day

And really molding a schedule

That fits your life

it's your desires fits like the things that you kind of like already one like to do and that

Also, like if you're a night owl, don't be getting up at 5:30 in the morning

But if you're an early bird

Don't be staying up to like 12:30 or 1:00 o'clock in in the morning that or the next morning

Because it's just not gonna work for you. So anyway guys, hopefully this video was helpful one way or another

If not, then I guess I just enjoyed making it for myself

But if it was helpful
