Hi Guys its Cindy Lietz, your Polymer Clay Tutor, and in today's video I'm gonna teach
you how to make Rose Petal Beads.
And although they are called Rose Petal Beads, you can actually make them with any dried
flower petals that you choose, and I've got a few examples here of all the different dried
petals that I've used, and the clays that I mixed from the petals, and the beads that
I made from the clay.
Now this is a wonderful way to commemorate any time that you've got in your life that
you've had flowers from; a wedding, a graduation ceremony, a baby's birth or even a memorial.
Now this particular project today has got special meaning to me, because these flower
petals all came from a memorial service for my uncle.
Now last year, my uncle died of prostate cancer and my aunt collected all these flowers and
dried them from his memorial, and I wanted to make her a whole bunch of beads with the
petals that she could share with her family and friends.
I've got a few examples here of some of the beads that I've been making from the clay,
I've got the typical rosary style bead here in this small round shape.
I've also got some pendants that I've started creating with the clay here, and they're put
into bezels of different types.
I've also got some buttons, now my aunt is a sewer and she also makes art quilts and
so I've decided that making her some buttons would be a wonderful way for her to use some
of these flower petal beads.
Now, over the years I've really perfected a little system for making these beautiful
colors with the rose petals and the clay.
