Hi guys, and welcome to this hair tutorial
Today I will be showing you how to get nice wawy hair with lots of volume
This hairstyle is best achieved if your hair is not newly washed and completely wet
It should just be a little damp in the lengths
So I'm staring out with just a bottle of water, and spraying a little bit of that onto my hair
Next I'm going in with a saltwater/beach spray
The reason why I like to use saltwater is because it gives a lot of texture and an unfinished look, which I love!
If you are not in a rush, just let it airdry and use you hands to scrunch in the product until it is completely dry
Or else, use a blowdryer with a diffuser - the heat will also ensure that you get even more volume into the hair
Now the hairstyle is actually already pretty cute, so go ahead and finish up now if you feel like it
But if you would like to add just a little bit more defined waves or curls, then go ahead and use a curling iron now
Im using a big curling iron today (about 4 cm) just because it gives your hair more loose unfinished waves
If you would like to have more defined curls, you can of course use a smaller curling iron
Because I've already pre-styled my hair with the saltwater spray, I only need to take a few random sections of hair out to curl
So basically I don't curl all of my hair, which makes this hairstyle super great for everydays
I curl the strands along my face away from my face, and the rest of the hair is curled a bit randomly - again to make it look as natural as possible
As you may have noticed, I mostly just wrap the strand around the curling iron
I feel that it's a very easy way of curling your hair with any curling iron, because you then have a bit more "control" over the curls
I also make sure to curl the ends just a bit towards my chin/neck, because I think it frames the face perfectly
Especially when you have a long bob like I do!
Another way to make subtle ways in you hair, is to do like I show right here
It gives a subtle defined wave
So when I make this hairstyle I love to mix all sorts of techniques, again to achieve a natural and kind of perfectly messy look
It doesn't have to look to overdone and neat!
Once the hair has cooled down, I'm going in with a volume powder
Just to loosen up the curls but certainly also to give it more volume!
I'm then taking a hairspray to make sure the curls last all day
be sure not to overdo this part, since it will weigh your hair down and have the opposite effect, making the curls disappear very quickly during the day
Because I have used products which gives the hair kind of a dry and textured look, I'm just finishing of with an oil
So I'm just applying a bit of this to the ends to give them a more healthy and shiny look
