Youtube daily report Oct 27 2017

There's all this money.

There's all these fans.

There's the fame and the glitz and glamour.

When it's really not.

It's not that at all.

No matter what you're doing.

Whether you're playing music, or you're acting, or any kind of career.

Just because you have all of this in front of you and you have the world at your fingertips

doesn't necessarily mean it's fulfilling.

When you have that, that's not where you're going to find fulfillment.

You're going to find fulfillment in human connection.

And when you don't have that, that's when you kind of lose everything.

This one in particular.

This was actually the first song I wrote once we got off the road and were settled into

the studio we were working at.

It was me just purging all of the negative, any negative emotions or ideas I had about

the past few years.

At this point I was really just burnt out and just drained from everything and so sick

of myself.

So this song was that chance to just get it all out.

It was the first time I had to reflect on everything that had happened over the past

few years and I really felt empty from it all.

But it was something I kept hidden for a long time and never really talked about it, or addressed.

It was the first time that it had come up.

Past few years while we were on the road when I was doing writing that wasn't this song

in particular, I referenced a lot of anatomy, and skin and bones, and lungs and veins and blood.

Anything relating to human anatomy and I don't know why.

I'm just too much of a perfectionist.

Really picky about things.

That just drives me into a hole with everything, whether it's relating to art, or just a conversation

I had with somebody.

It's mostly referring to my parents.

My Mom.

I would come home in between tours and I would be so tired, and she would ask me about everything

and I would be like, "I don't want to talk about it Mom."

"I don't want to talk about it."

She would always tell me, she'd be like, "You're so cynical."

I'm like, "I know. I know. I'm telling you this."

"I'm trying to explain why."

There was just a lot of disconnect in that department.

It was funny.

I remember writing that.

I had the verses ready and we didn't have the chorus yet.

I was trying to find a way to mask what I was feeling with some kind of visual, or metaphor

with this song in particular.

And eventually I kind of said, "Fuck it," and I just wrote that down.

Just went back to this old classic imagery of somebody sitting at a grand feast, or on

a throne and them just not giving a shit about any of it.

I think only foolish people will find fulfillment out of materialism.

I definitely think that line, whenever I sing that I always get a little stoked from it.

That definitely was one where I was like, "I like that one."

All of us as a band are doing this 'cause we love music, and we love making art.

That's the sole reason, and that's our main intention.

There's nothing. We don't want fame. We don't want money.

If that happens, that happens. But that's not the priority.

It was just a comfort thing.

It was like, "No. You're still doing this for the right reasons."

"It's not gone yet."

"You didn't give up your integrity."

"You didn't give up your vision yet."

It was mostly along the lines of that.

Autumn Fall + Winter in London 🍂❄️ October Things to do - Duration: 31:55.

LONDON

OCTOBER AUTUMN / WINTER LONDON, ENGLAND, GREAT BRITAIN

ROBERTS LONDON

LOCATION: Westminster, London.

LOCATION: Charing Cross Roundabout.

ladies and gentlemen boys and girls welcome to London welcome to Westminster and

what is for a number of reasons the very center of of London

just down here you have St James's and St James's Palace

just through the Admiralty Arch there you have the Mall which leads to

Buckingham Palace just along Whitehall here behind me you have the Palace of

Westminster the house of parliament Westminster Abbey and Big Ben which you

may be able to make out some where on the skyline behind me just down this street

here you have the bank of the River Thames and the London Eye

behind me is Trafalgar Square and we'll be heading up here in a moment

through Leicester Square or past Leicester Square to London's Chinatown

but more about that in a moment the the main reason I say this is the centre of

London is not just because we're surrounded by some of London's most

iconic landmarks if your in another part of the UK and you see a signpost for London

the mileage on that signpost it's counting down to this spot here and there is this

brass plaque here on the floor which marks the spot and right besides this

centuries-old statue of King Charles the first

but anyway enough about where I am let's talk about where I'm going it's October

right now for me and that's what I want to talk about to share with you some of

the events here that I'll be visiting during the month of October and as some

of them don't always happen during the month of October in many ways a look at

autumn and winter here for you and a little of life here in town so first up

the first event I'm going to head to this month is a Chinese festival called

mid-autumn festival and as the UK and London has a big Chinese and Asian

community I'm hoping that Chinatown just up the road here will be decorated for the

festival they usually put lanterns up for Chinese New Year earlier in the year

and now for mid-autumn festival so I'm hoping Chinatown will be decorated the mid-autumn

festivals also known as mooncake festival so hopefully I can get some moon

cake and also visit some of my other favorite spots for food in London's Chinatown

there should be as well the reason the festival is today there should be

the fattest full moon this evening however as you can

probably see it's a very grey and overcast day so whether we can see the moon through

the clouds will be a different story which we'll find out later but anyway first

of all let's head up the street here past Trafalgar square past Leicester Square to

Chinatown and on the way I'll talk you through some of the other events that

will be happening this month some of which I hope to visit and then we can talk a

little bit more about mid-autumn festival AKA mooncake festival and London's Chinatown

so during October there are so many things to see and so many things to do

here in London some of my favourites are a visit to China Town and the mid-autumn

festival there are also amazing cultural events

in Trafalgar Square Africa on the square and the Diwali celebrations are held

there the British Film Institute London Film Festival is a chance to see the

latest film releases and the museums at night event allows you to explore art

and history after dark and of course the many Halloween themed events are just a

few of the things to see and do right here in London

okay welcome to the edge of London's Chinatown Leicester Square tube station

one of the entrances to Leicester Square tube station is right behind me

and

Chinatown has been decorated for mid-autumn festival check out the lanterns

Chinatown always looks and more importantly smells was amazing

but during Chinese New Year's and during this time of year for mid-autumn

festival with the lanterns up it looks phenomenal and you'll have to take my word for it

the food all smells incredible the first thing I'm going to do is get one of the

moon cakes which are incredibly filling and I'm not going to dive straight in

to eat the moon cakes I'll

get something at some of my other favorite spots and I'll get the mooncake

first while the bakeries are open or some of the bakeries are still open

then I might checkout Jen Cafe

or Baozi Inn at this end of China town get some of their dumplings or Bao there is

a bakery there the bakery I normally go to because I normally come here quite late at

night is the kowloon bakery at the other end however I think right now I'm

gonna pop into first of all the Golden Gate bakery which closes a lot earlier

than the Kowloon and as I'm normally here quite late at night I don't often make it

so the cakes are equally delicious in all the bakeries

I don't actually have a favorite as such but I normally end up at which

ever one is open when I get here but I want to try the ones from the Golden Gate the Golden Gate

but yeah check out the main street of Chinatown decorated for this years mid-autumn

festival

it looks great the Sun is setting

you can see it looks great behind me as well the Sun is setting and it's going

to look even more phenomenal this street always looks fantastic illuminated in

the evening after dark the Kowloon bakery is just down here on the Main Street

Bakery I want to see if I can get the moon cakes from I think I prefer Lotus to red

bean so I'll see if they've got some lotus paste moon cake here Golden Gate

okay success mooncakes from the golden gate cake shop behind me now before I went in I

was thinking I'll just get one Louis paste cake because full-sized moon

cakes are quite expensive the Golden gate this year had mini moon cakes so I've got

one of each Lotus paste and red bean to try this year they are incredibly filling as well

so mini moon cakes are winners so if you're after moon cakes I would definitely

recommend the Golden Gate cake shop especially if you want to try them if

you've never had them before because you get one of each and figure out which one is your

favourite without spending a fortune five pounds eighty for four moon cakes which is brilliant

let me show you the other cake shop that I go to most frequently because its open quite

late the kowloon and they do phenomenal cream

cakes they look amazing

I'am starting to get hungry but I don't want to dive into the mooncake straightaway

because its incredibly filling want to eat something savoury first from the other

end of Chinatown there is it also a buffet here one side of Kowloon is a

buffet restaurant and the other is a cake shop

I'm sure they'll have mooncakes today

okay I definitely recommend the Kowloon too its my normal spot late at night

as I've said I'm going to take another look around find somewhere to get some food

then I'll show you some of Chinatown once the sun is set and it will look very

atmospheric it looks phenomenal after dark

okay as I was saying I'm glad I got mini moon cakes from the bakery for one pound

forty and one pound fifty each for the little cakes full-sized boxed ones one they're far too

much for me to eat and they cost I think the full-sized one in the

Baker's costs eight or nine pounds full-sized box ones range from 13 to 25

and I literally actually what a bite not a whole cake so yeah the Golden Gate is the place for

small portions and small mini cakes

okay one of my favourite spots is Jen cap here its pretty simple inexpensive Chinese style

cafe one at end of Chinatown and for a lot of the day woman sit in the window here

and make Beijing dumplings - which you can then have either steamed or fried

with a little sauce to dip them in they're delicious I think that's one of the first things I'm going to get

this evening on my trip to China town

so welcome to Jen Cafe in front of us in the window you can see the chef's hand

making the Beijing dumplings that Jen Cafe is most renowned for the little

dumplings are available filled with either pork or a vegetarian filling and

they're available either steamed like this or fried like this I'm going to

pour out a little soy sauce to dip them in they are a pretty filling relatively

inexpensive and delicious snack so if you're in Chinatown I would definitely

recommend a trip to Jen Cafe to try their Beijing dumplings they're also

available in a soup so as wonton soup

okay that was Jen Cafe the Beijing dumplings are amazing definitely

recommend them and you can watch them being made before you eat them here in the

window during the day most days next up I think I'm gonna head next door to Jen cafe

here to Baozi Inn and get one of their steamed buns the bao the takeaways here also

got a restaurant where you can eat in here the foods amazing but I'm just gonna get

a snack steamed bun take away

okay I changed my mind at the last minute and instead of the bao the steamed bun

I went for the sandwich version so from Baozi Inn the soft fluffy steamed bun

exterior pork in the middle slow-cooked pork and cucumber and salad lets try it

that's amazing bun soft and fluffy like soft clouds

the pork's amazing slow cooked pork beautifully spiced and then

nice contrast with the crispy crunchy salad

definitely recommend Baozi Inn right I'm gonna finish this and carry on having a look

around and I think I might get something to drink to wash down my mooncakes

okay I'm gonna get some Taiwanese bubble tea to help wash down the moon cakes

I'm gonna get the bubble tea tonight from here char time

okay bubble tea from

Char Time here in London's Chinatown I've got Char times milk tea

with pearls and extra toppings of aloe vera aloe vera jelly and coconut jelly

regular sugar no ice is quite cold out and a fat straw so I can suck up the the pearls

that's really good right I'm going to enjoy this go and take a seat somewhere and use this to

help the moon cakes go down

okay I'm back outside the Golden Gate cake shop here in Chinatown where I got the

moon cakes from earlier these are the mini moon cakes

I've got a round one and a square one

one of them has lotus paste inside one of them has red bean paste in

I forget which one is which

that would be the lotus paste really good bubble tea

lets try the red bean

they're really good too

very filling very rich quite well-balanced but I'am glad I found mini mooncakes from the Golden Gate cake shop

otherwise I would be eating a full sized one

okay I'm gonna finish up my mooncakes and my tea and we will go and take another look

around

okay bake the bakery here at the end of Chinatown is super popular for their ice

creams

and their fish shape waffles filled with ice cream and they also have a taiyaki machine

which are Taiwanese little fish shaped custard snacks

like the machine cooks and they are kind of wofully on the outside and then

soft gooey custard on the inside

just ate all the custard out of that one pretty good

patron kilogram

okay guys I hope you enjoyed this visit to London's Chinatown and this visit to

mid-autumn festival AKA moon cake festival I'm going to take another look

around Chinatown maybe get something else to eat and drink and I'll see you

guys at the next event

OK welcome to London's Trafalgar Square and welcome to Africa on the Square

this is an annual event to celebrate African art culture and importantly community

here in London so lets go and take a look at this years event

the food smells phenomenal and I see some of the

acts performing in the square on the way over here and they look amazing

(music)

the smell of food from all these food stalls behind me is phenominal

(music)

okay guys hope you enjoyed this visit to Trafalgar Square and this this years Africa on the

square I'm going to take a look at some more of the

entertainment from up here on the balcony and I'll see you guys at the next event

OK ladies and gentleman welcome to South Kensington

welcome to London's Natural History Museum during October many of London's best

museums hold a late night opening event so you can visit the museums and

see the exhibits in a light you would otherwise get to see the reason I come

to the Natural History Museum is its one of my favourite museums and they hold a

similar event every month of the year except for December late night opening

on the last Friday so you get to see the permanent exhibitions and any temporary

exhibitions in a light you wouldn't otherwise get to see them in so lets pop

in and take a look at the phenomenal main entrance and

what you can see been constructed me here on the lawn is the ice rink that will

be open here in just a few weeks ice rink for winter and it's an amazing

festive thing to do in winter and during the Christmas period

the Natural History Museum first opened to the public in 1881 and from the main

entrance this is where you first walk into the museum Hintze hall and it's also

the gateway to the museums galleries and collections during my childhood and my

earliest memories of visiting the museum a huge dinosaur skeleton filled this

hall however this summer the dinosaur was replaced by this huge blue whale

skeleton which was on display in another part of the museum since the 1930s the

dinosaur looked cool but they are extinct and although it's nice to visit

the past we can't live there whereas the whale is today a conversation starter

and a symbol of the museum's commitment to conservation and using history

understanding and education to shape the future

blue whales were hunted to the point of extinction by mankind and importantly

were one of the first species that humans decide to save on a global scale

so the whale shows children and adults that we have an impact on the world in

which we live and we have a responsibility to shape a future that is

sustainable so now you can walk under this blue whale the largest animal to

have ever lived which looks like it's diving right into the museum both the

hall and the whale illuminated after dark look phenomenal

okay I hope you enjoyed this brief look in the Natural History Museum its a phenomenal place to visit

especially when they're open late they're also some amazing restaurants

and bars and coffee shops just down here by South Kensington station which is where

we're going to head to now so see you guys at the next event

OK welcome back to Trafalgar square October sees the Hindu sikh and Jain festival of

Diwali so as there's a large Hindu Sikh and Jain

community here in London there's a large Diwali festival here in Trafalgar Square

so I'm here to check out this years entertainment maybe sample some of the amazing food

it smells phenomenal and even though its October its a really warm day the weather's amazing

for this years festival

(music)

so the annual Diwali festival here in Trafalgar Square has a huge stage which

is hosting performances of music dance yoga and comedy there was also a street

food market and the smell of all this food cooking is amazing

there are also crafts and community stalls selling crafts and art and I've

seen some amazing looking henna art being done and like many of the

community events here in Trafalgar Square it's free to attend

(music)

OK guys I hope you enjoyed this little look at Diwali celebrations here in Trafalgar Square

I'm going to get some food from one of the food stalls it smells phenomenal and then head back

down to the stage area check out some more of the amazing entertainment

okay welcome to London's Spitalfields Spitalfields market is right beside me

now I can't talk about October here in London without talking about Halloween Its a big

celebration here at the end of the month it's not quite as big as it is in other

countries because it's a little overshadowed by an event here on 5th of

November each year called Guy Fawkes night AKA bonfire night or fireworks

night and Guy Fawkes night involves fireworks and fun fairs and huge

bonfires so it's always outshone Halloween a little which is pumpkins and

fancy dress but I thought we'd end on something Halloween inspired so something a little

spooky now obviously London's an ancient city

so it's got plenty of

grim and gruesome and historic stories from the past so I thought rather than

making this rather dark I'd just come somewhere a little bit spooky

one of London's pubs the ten bells here behind me linked to Jack the Ripper were

just down the road from Whitechapel and previous landlords have claimed it's

haunted and staff and drinkers in the pub have reported a number of unexpected events the pub is

named after the church bells here there has been a pub here since the 1700's next to the church one way or

another so let's pop into the ten bells to get

a drink

so the ten bells pub is a pretty historic and renowned East end London pub

with a dark past however today it's a very welcoming pub

and the perfect place to get a drink if you're in the area the pub is most

famous for its connections with Jack the Ripper now much about Jack the

Ripper remains a mystery but one thing is known and well documented his victims

lived close to this pub and it's believed they drank here at least one had their

last drink in this very pub so it's also highly likely the Ripper would have

visited here and even drank here too the food and cocktail menus also featured a

detailed history of the pub and some of its more renowned and famous connections

from its very long history the bar on street level has amazing Victorian tiled

walls and then upstairs where we're having a drink is another bar which

feels more like a vintage cocktail bar

okay guys thanks for watching I hope you enjoyed this look at London during the

month of October and the autumn winter season so from

the ten bells and London's Spitalfields until next time

Toodles!

New Android Game - Stickman Skate Battle | Skater Plays - Duration: 10:19.

Hey guys, welcome back to the channel. I'm

playing a game called stickman skate

battle, and I thought I would show you

this game. Someone recommended it to me. I

had your name written down, but it's on

my tablet, and I'm using my tablet so

sorry I couldn't look that up. But it's a

online battle game where you skate

around and try to get high scores. It's

not great. Wait, I am... I am on the left

side. I was on the right side when I was

playing it earlier, so I got confused.

But you skate around and you do tricks,

and you try to beat the other guy. That's

about it. So I am playing this with a

gamepad, but it's probably a touchscreen.

It doesn't really make it any easier. I

don't think... the spinning might be

slightly easier. The controls are kind of

weird. So you steer with the left stick,

but you also have to spin by drawing

circles with it. Like, you don't just hold

left, you actually have to do circles

with it or you'll stop in whatever

direction you're pointing. On the right

here, you can see, you would see a

joystick if I didn't have a controller

plugged in. But you can see my list of

tricks there. You start with 2, and I have

four now.

I bought stiffies and nose grabs, but you

also have heel flips, which it calls kick

flips, and Indies. Okay so I am still

trying to figure out the rules for the

online mode. I don't know if I can

actually pick at all. It seems like... man

is that just my internet being crappy?

But it seems like, you either go for a

minute, or you go until you bail. Which

I'm not really sure how that works.

Sometimes you just do a full minute and

then it's over. Sometimes it seems like

you play for a little bit, and then it'll

be their turn, then it's your turn again.

Then it's their turn again. It goes back

and forth for a while. I'm not entirely

sure, but I just did... I did just do an

update, so it might have changed since

the last time I played it.

All right, it really... the game is

really based on how long you hold things,

so for him to do this kind of stuff, just

holding grabs as long as possible, is a

good way to get scores. He really should

be doing spins, but it looks like he's

got me beat

once he lands that. I probably shouldn't

have been talking the whole time, oh that

boardslide was enough!

Oh man, look I beat him by, like, 30

points.

[Music]

Take that, Guest_5db35... okay, at

this point, I'll have the opportunity to

challenge him. Okay, he wants to play again.

Let's do it. All right.

Oh okay, well there you go. Um, let's try

another one. So I'm currently ranked... I

think I got to rank three, so I should be

able to play this level. All right, that's

a different person. Let's give this a try.

There are some practice modes, but you

have to pay with your coins to get into

them, and it is a regular free to play

style game. This guy is gonna upgrade a

board, he might actually be good. It is a

free to play style game, so you have to

like watch ads to get points and get

coins and you can buy whatever and all

that kind of stuff that all these

free-to-play games have. I would have

much preferred to spend a dollar or two

and just unlock the game rather than

have to do all that stuff, so I'm

probably not gonna be playing this one

too much.

But I wanted to give you a chance to

take a look at it anyway.

Yeah so you saw that tree that got in

the way. You can't control the camera at

all, so it's just kinda... it's kind of

weird that they would put that there. So

he seems like he's going around and

collecting all of the power, or the trick

boosts, but then he's not doing anything.

He's got a huge score though. I don't

know what he's doing. He might know more

about the game than I do. So he has got

another five seconds. Okay, I think you

get a minute total, and you lose your

turn if you bail, but you still get to

finish out your time. I think that's how

it works. Okay come on, I'm not getting

any air. Okay, so since he finished his

time, I just keep going when I bail.

Okay, so staying in transition can be

pretty tough because you you have to,

like, hold the direction away from the

transition, but you also have to spin, so

it's kind of weird. Like, you have to hold

it back for a second. Why is he in here? So

you have to hold back for a second just

to kind of decide to stay in, and then

you have to rotate. Kind of weird.

Oh I'm winning! All right, yeah. This level

is good for points with all those

power-ups. He says "wow." I don't know how

you talk to people. That might not even

be real, if I had to guess. Alright time's

up. I win. I have never lost, which is not

because I'm any good. You can see I'm

kind of fumbling around and figuring out

what I'm doing too, but there you go.

I've ranked up to four, okay, collect

$1.00. Okay. I don't want an amazing offer.

No thank you.

Well there you go. I'm gonna try to play

a different level, just to show you. What

are you doing game? Every time you hit

home... come on, go. Hey. Every time you hit

'home,' it takes you to a different

place.

I have to be ranked five to play that

level, so you can play the first level

for free, but if you want to play this

one you have to pay ten gold, which is

weird because you don't earn it that

quickly. But anyway, I'll play one more

time just to give you a pretty good feel

for the game. I'm getting a little bit

better. I say as I bail. But yeah,

I don't necessarily recommend this one.

For me, I basically have to play every

skateboarding game. It's a compulsion. I

have to at least... I have to at least try

them, and I'm glad that I did, because

it's interesting. It works. It's cool to

see what else is out there, but I don't

think this is gonna be the one for me.

I'm gonna stick to True Skate. Yeah and

I did reviews of True Skate and

Skater, and I had originally decided that

Skater was better, but that was like last

December I think. And at this point, I

only play True Skate. I think that one

ends up being a little bit more varied.

You can do a little bit more. I like

having the shoes so that you could do

spins and everything in Skater, but True

Skate is actually better. You can check out

my reviews for those if you'd like, but

yeah. This one, I think you could safely

give it a pass now that you've seen what

it's like. But if it is interesting to you,

go ahead and take a look at it,

especially if you really get into the

free-to-play

stuff and you're gonna remember to spin

the wheel for your reward everyday and

all that kind of stuff. There's nothing

wrong with any of that, I just I'm too

old to worry about all that crap. I don't

want to sit around and have to worry

about opening the app a certain amount

of times every day and all that kind of

stuff. I'd rather just pay a couple bucks

and get it over with, but you know, that's

me. You might have your own preferences.

So we'll finish off this level. I'll show

you a grind, that's it. You can do a rail

slide.

I don't think... yeah, you can't do a 50/50,

and you also can't do a trick out of it

and the times I've tried, you can't

possibly get enough air to finish a

trick. So there's that. I'll show you

around the game just a little bit more.

Okay, so yeah, here's your free coins... oh.

I'm a lot I'm gonna skip this. Okay that

was an unskipable 30-second ad. I

guess I hit the free coins button

already, where it just gives you some

coins, so then it made me watch an ad.

There's a shop where you can buy tricks

and stuff. So I have all of those. I don't

have a tail grab. See, there's like cash

and there's also coins, which have

different meanings. I don't know. Yeah. So

I don't know if I would ever get a

hundred and fifty thousand gold, but yeah,

if you get really into it that's all

there. You can buy different skaters with

different abilities, get different boards.

You can buy power-ups, extra time for

your battles, all that kind of stuff. So

if this is something you're interested

in, go ahead and give it a shot.

You can also buy coins by doing various

things, like spending a hundred dollars

for a million coins. I wouldn't recommend

doing that, but yeah, the game itself is

free, so there's no harm and at least

trying it if you'd like, but I'm showing

you about all there is to it. So if you

are interested in skateboarding games, I

have a lot of skateboard game videos on

the channel, from reviews to gameplay

videos, to all kinds of other things.

They're usually a little bit more

interesting than this, but that's what

this game is like. So thanks for watching,

and check out those other things. Make

sure you subscribe so you can keep

learning new things about skateboarding

three times a week. Thanks.

Toodles!

The End

So it was that when she turned eleven, Drusilla made the long walk from one edge of town to

the other.

While Trixie's had occupied an unusually sunny corner in Blessing's Hallow, Mrs.

Morris' School for Wayward Girls and other Exotic Creatures was halfway up the side of

a cliff that overlooked the Atlantic.

It took one-hundred death defying steps to reach the front door.

What happened on the other side of that door, nobody could say exactly.

For the girls who attended Mrs. Morris' were seldom seen out and about.

They were known to be reclusive and elitist.

Even if one of them were to be caught out and about in Blessing's Hallow, they would

JFK assassination files: Hoover said FBI must "convince the public" Oswald acted alone - Duration: 3:33.

Newly released FBI files about the assassination of John F. Kennedy are shedding

new light on shooter Lee Harvey Oswald and the bureau chief's efforts to quell

conspiracy theories about the fatal shooting of the nation's 35th president.

In the chaotic aftermath of the assassination,

followed two days later by the murder of Oswald while in police custody,

FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover vented his frustration in a formerly secret report

found in the files.

It opened: "There is nothing further on the Oswald case except that he is dead."

But, reflecting on Oswald less than an hour after he died,

Hoover already sensed theories would form about a conspiracy broader than the

lone assassin.

"The thing I am concerned about, and so is (deputy attorney general) Mr.

Katzenbach, is having something issued so we can convince the public that Oswald

is the real assassin," he said.

He also reported: "Last night we received a call from our Dallas office from a

man talking in a calm voice and saying he was a member of a committee organized

to kill Oswald."

Hoover said he relayed that warning to Dallas police and was assured Oswald

would be sufficiently protected.

Oswald was shot dead the next day by Jack Ruby.

A document from 1975 contains a partial deposition by Richard Helms,

a deputy CIA director under Kennedy who later became CIA chief,

to the Rockefeller Commission, which was studying unauthorized CIA activities in

domestic affairs.

Commission lawyers appeared to be probing for information on what foreign

leaders might have been the subject of assassination attempts by or on behalf of

the CIA.

A lawyer asks Helms: "Is there any information involved with the assassination

of President Kennedy which in any way shows that Lee Harvey Oswald was in some

way a CIA agent or agent" - here the document ends, short of his answer.

CBS News' Bob Schieffer, who was then a 26-year-old Fort Worth newspaper

reporter at the time, gave Oswald's mother a ride to the police station after

the assassination.

"She expressed no remorse about the president being killed," Schieffer recalled.

Among the files is a more than 400-page document that appeared to describe

people being monitored as potential threats to Kennedy and his successor,

Lyndon B. Johnson.

Officials described one such person this way:

"Subject participated in pickets against JFK in 1961.

Allegedly trained in guerrilla tactics & sabotage.

Considered very dangerous by those who know him.

Has visited USA & Cuba.

Considered armed and dangerous."

Some suspicions missed the mark badly.

One document describes a person who sent a letter to Johnson in December 1963

stating "you're doomed."

The document says: "Interviewed 1/23/64; friendly.

Said letter was a joke.

Not dangerous.

Attending 5th grade."

buffet restaurant and the other is a cake shop

Toodles!

The End
