Welcome to Automotive Territory!
If you ever conducted a research about sports sedans, you must have been staggered, just
like us, by the sheer number of available options on the market.
It seems that every single manufacturer feels obliged to add a sports version to the lineup,
and it makes us think that it must be some sort of a tradition in the auto industry.
Taking into account this broad selection, it gets super tricky to determine which sports
sedans of 2018 deserve the title of the best ones.
We had to consider multiple options and included candidates with various performance specifications
as well as price categories, do you agree with our choices?
Or have we missed some of your favorites?

BMW M3.
In 2018 the second facelift was given to M3, but do not expect to see major redesign, frankly
only the front fascia was updated to match M4 Coupe.
The engine bay is also avoiding any modifications and will remain represented by a 3.0 Liter
bi-turbo straight-six with 431 horses, or if you are longing for even more power, the
Competition Package will boost the output to 450 horsepower., enabling this four-wheeler
to get to 60 miles per hour in 4 seconds when paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch.
Besides keeping more horses under the hood, the modification comes with 20-inch alloy
wheels, adaptive suspension , new exhausts and lightweight seats.
The base trim goes for 65 thousand dollars, while the Competition package adds another
50 hundred.
Audi A7.
The new generation of Audi A7 has been introduced to the world and the seal of top secret dropped.
As expected the model is based on the Prologue Concept and has many design features similar
to the 2018 flagship A8.
This automobile embraces a modern design with a wide grille , distinguishable headlights
and sporty air intakes.
The rear is equipped with a spoiler that automatically raises at the speed of 75 miles per hour and
a single line stoplight.
Audi A7 is driven by a turbocharged 3.0 Liter TFSI V6 that generates 340 horses and 370
lb-ft of torque.
The powertrain is good for 5.3 seconds 0-60 and 155 miles per hour maximum velocity.
Just like the flagship it will get many autonomy features, but will have a lower $81,000 price
tag.
Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio.
As claimed by the manufacturer, the new Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is the most powerful
Alfa Romeo sports car created for road use.
With top speed of 191 mph and output of 505 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque, the car accelerates
from 0 to 60 in less than 4 seconds and beats its direct competitors, Mercedes Benz C63
AMG and C63 AMG S and BMW M3 in terms of power, speed, and performance.
The model continues a 100-year-old tradition of engine and mechanics innovation with an
all-aluminum 90-degree 2.9-liter Twin-Turbo V6 engine and 8 speed transmission.
The car is also efficient and has moderate fuel consumption for a sports car: 17mpg in
a city and 24 mpg on a highway.
However, Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is not an economy car; owning this 2018 baby
will cost you more than $75,095.
Audi RS 3.
While the sportback AKA hatchback version of this car is enjoying great sales in Europe,
the 40 % of all sedan body sales are expected to take place in North America.
The 2.5 Liter inline five-cylinder engine that is concealed under the bonnet is the
most powerful 5-cylinder in the world making 400 horsepower.
The successful tandem with a 7-speed dual-clutch allows to propel the vehicle to 60 in 4.1
seconds, but judging by the rather conservative estimates that Audi shows in the specifications
section for their cars, we can expect even better performance.
Other attractive technical features include signature Quattro all-wheel drive, Audio magnetic
ride suspension and all-LED lighting that starts trading at 55 grand.
Subaru WRX STI.
This is the fourth year of Subaru WRX's fourth generation and it deserved an update,
even though a minor one.
In 2018 this automobile is getting a refreshed front fascia, revised suspension, new Brembo
brakes and 19-inch wheels.
At its core STI still carries the turbocharged 2.5 Liter flat four with 305 horsepower and
290 lb-ft of torque yield.
Since no powertrain update has been made, the performance data stays unchanged: decent
5.2 seconds 0-60 and 155 milesper hour top speed.The Subaru's Driver's Control Center
Differential evolved into a pure electronically controlled slip differential that ensures
smoother and quicker response.
Cadillac ATS V.
This Cadillac is a great combination of sporty performance and style that is on par with
the best representatives of the European and Japanese made sedans.
We are most interested by the top of the line Premium Performance trim that comes with a
potent 3.6L Twin Turbo V6 that gears up 464 horses and 445 lb-ft of torque.
It is worth highlighting all of the impressive performance equipment that Cadillac has to
offer, including adaptive, adjustable dampers; a limited-slip differential; Brembo brakes,
performance exhaust and a sport suspension upgrade.
Besides a shot to win races with 3.8 sec to 60 acceleration, combined with premium interior
elements, ATS is a sheer pleasure to drive.
Lexus GS F.
GS F is a borderline sports sedan that aspires to challenge the title of a supersedan but
falls a little bit short in terms of power.
At its heart Lexus GS F holds a 5.0 Liter V-8 that sports 467 horses, 389 lb-ft of torque
and launches to 60 in 4.5 seconds, and its top speed mark is set at 168 miles per hour.
Being a performance sedan, it doesn't not lose the premium feel, and all of the sporty
elements just add aggression but keep the comfort.
As an everyday driver Lexus GS F has adjustable shocks, torque-vectoring differential, bigger
brakes and overall performs great on the road.
The car can freely accommodate up to five people, has advanced safety features, 10 airbags,
so it can serve as a perfect family vehicle.
Dodge Charger Daytona 392.
This old timer continues giving us amazing muscle car experience, with the convenience
of a four door 5-seater.
In 2018 the lineup of Chargers accounts for 11 models, starting with rather humble
SXT with 292 horses and going all the way up to the Hellcat that scares off competition
with 707 horsepower.
However, one of the recent newcomers of this year is Daytona 392, that comes equipped with
a 6.4L HEMI® V8 Engine good for 485 horses.
This sport modification gets equipped with Brembo six-piston high performance breaks,
heritage-inspired exterior and interior design.
All of the attention the owner of this car will be getting is totally worth $44,995 starting
price.
Infiniti Q50 Sport.
Q50 is a sport sedan that features a 400 horsepower 3-0 Liter twin turbo V6 gasoline engine with
the price tag or $53,000, or there is a hybrid version available with MSRP starting at $52,600
and equipped with a 360 hp hybrid powertrain.
0-60 acceleration stands at 4.5 seconds with the top speed reaching quite standard 155
mph.
Among the fancy high tech abilities of this car are Direct Adaptive Steering, Predictive
Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Prevention and Active Lane Control, Backup
Collision Intervention, blind spot intervention and intelligent cruise control.
Kia Stinger GT.
2018 Kia Stringer GT is new car introduced by the South Korean car manufacturer.
it is a low sedan with typical Kia "tiger-nose" that is, however, elongated to give the car
a more aggressive, sporty look.
Four exhaust pipes on the rear and bright LED tail lights are a perfect finish for a
stylish look.
Fans of fast driving are offered a 365 horsepower model with a 3.3-litre twin-turbo V6 engine,
acceleration from 0 to 62 mph in mere 5.1 seconds, and the top-speed is 167 mph.
The pricing, depends on the chosen engine, and if you go for the powerful V6 be prepared
to spend at least 50K.
Kia Stringer GT is offered with finest leather interior, superb sound system, navigation
system and a heads-up screen.
So what do you think about these cars? Have we converted you to the fan club?
