Youtube daily report Dec 1 2017

- Hi.

You know, livestreaming can be a whole lotta fun.

In fact, I used to do it a lot

back in the Periscope days.

Anyone remember Periscope?

It was an app?

Anyway.

But because those streams are live,

there's a lot of crazy, weird things that can happen

that you cannot edit out.

Oh, my house is on fire?

Allow me to capture that.

Here are 10 crazy things caught during a livestream.

Number 10 is an accidental fire.

Uh-huh, a fire, and somebody caught it on camera.

In October 2015, during a live broadcase,

40-year-old Japanese game Tetsuki

was showing off his new toy, the permanent match.

Kind of permanent, till you burn the house down.

While trying to refill his new lighter,

he accidentally spilled the fluid

onto the outside of the container,

quickly wiping it away with a napkin.

Clearly not understanding the laws of physics

and that things are flammable,

Tetsuki then tried to ignite the match several times,

eventually doing so, but to his dismay,

the canister ignited as well.

Who saw that coming?

To avoid a burn, he dropped it

and began stomping it out,

placing the now-lit match on a napkin

that he'd just set aside, which burst into flames, duh.

Now even more freaked out,

he lifted the entire bag of trash

that the napkin was in, now in fire, keep in mind,

and tossed it in the garbage can,

where it fully ignited the can's paper contents,

forcing him to run out of the room

while several viewers watched.

But luckily, several viewers escaped unharmed,

and the blaze was dealt with,

probably by firefighters who were just

shaking their heads the whole time.

Number nine is a swatting.

Okay, swatting is a horrible, very mean prank

involving someone calling the police

and reporting a streamer being involved in a crime.

Whether it's a homicide or a kidnapping,

when the authorities arrive,

they don't play any games at all,

breaking down doors and pointing real guns

in the victims' faces,

all while the streaming audience members

sit there and watch.

This happened on August 27th, 2014,

when Twitch streamer and co-founder of The Creatures,

which is an online gaming company, Jordan Mathewson,

was two hours into a gaming broadcast

when he heard loud noises

coming from outside of his office

in Littleton, Colorado.

As he's just gaming away,

suddenly several SWAT team members burst through the door,

forcing Jordan to the floor and cuffing him,

all while 3000 shocked viewers watched.

"Honey, are you busy?"

"Not now mom, I'm watching something real interesting!"

Shortly afterwards, the man was cleared of any wrongdoing,

but the fear of God was put in that man,

and he will be haunted by that forever.

Number eight is driving while streaming.

If you're looking to increase

your cool factor of livestreaming,

then why not try filming yourself

while speeding down a highway

at over 160 kilometers an hour?

Yeah, don't do that.

While 20-year-old Onasi Olio-Rojas

of Pawtucket, Rhode Island

decided that it would be a good idea

to broadcast himself making funny faces

and cool poses, bro,

while he zipped down Route Six,

a highway in Providence,

at over 183 kilometers per hour,

without a seatbelt.

The bonehead, oh, sorry, that was a spelling mistake.

The young man showed the world

how he weaved in and out of lanes while dodging traffic.

That is, of course, until the front of his car

met with a garbage truck and median.

Viewers watched as the obstacles came up fast,

and then suddenly the stream ended.

But unbelievably, Onasi actually

survived the horrible crash,

but was brought up on, obviously, several charges,

including driving with a suspended license.

Of course he had a suspended license.

What else stupid could this guy do?

Was he drinking too?

What are some other things stupid he could do, kids?

Leave a comment below!

Number seven is a home invasion.

Nikki Elise, a 31-year-old Twitch star,

better known as Sajedene,

became famous streaming herself

while playing video games online.

She amassed a lot of loyal fans

who were once instrumental in saving her life.

On June 9th, 2014 at around 4:00am,

Elise was with her boyfriend, Susnfan

in their Arizona home, streaming a game called DODA 2.

Suddenly, there was a loud bang

from somewhere in the house.

"What the hell was that?

"Was that grandma?"

"Uh, I don't think so, 'cause yo grandma dead."

Viewers watched as Elise stopped playing

and went to investigate,

only to be met by two armed intruders,

who proceeded to ransack the house,

stealing anything that they deemed worth it.

People from around the world who were watching

notified the police.

But luckily, both Elise and her boyfriend survived,

and the intruders were eventually arrested.

"Hello, I am here to rob you!

"Oh, livestream, they have my face, bye-bye."

Number six is a gang shooting.

On Wednesday June 15th, 2016,

28-year-old Antonio Perkins

was streaming on a stream in Chicago, Illinois,

showing off his friends and loved ones.

But a short time after he started broadcasting,

a look of concern suddenly crossed Perkins' face,

and the sound of gunshots rang out.

"Hey everybody, this is my grandma, I love her very much!

(gunfire)

"You on your own, grandma."

That's when the camera fell and rolled on the ground

as blood could be seen amongst the grass.

The man struggled to take a breath

as people screamed in the background,

with one person claiming there was blood

coming out of his nose and mouth.

The stream actually continued

until after the paramedics arrived

to take him to Mt. Sinai Hospital,

where 20 minutes after the shooting,

Perkins actually lost his life.

But as tragic as that is,

it also turns out that Antonio Perkins was a gang member

in the Chicago area, where fatal shootings are,

unfortunately, not a rare occurrence.

Just a reminder, kids, don't ever join a gang,

and if you do, don't livestream where you are,

where your enemies can find you.

Not a good idea.

Number five is a cop car theft.

On October 31st, 2016, 25-year-old John Pinney

found an empty cop car parked on a street

in Tulsa County, Oklahoma.

Unbelievably, the officer had accidentally

left her keys in the car

while taking a coffee break,

and Pinney took full advantage,

even using the policewoman's iPad

to livestream the theft to Facebook.

What?

Police pursued him for between 30 to 40 minutes,

at times going over 190 kilometers an hour.

They eventually managed to arrest the man

on the same block that he lived on.

Shortly after, videos went viral,

showing Pinney singing along to the radio

while police chased him,

which became evidence.

Police sergeant Steve Stoltz went on to encourage

all criminals to stream their crimes.

Most of them are so dumb they'd probably do it too.

Number four is a boyfriend cheating.

(clears throat)

Attention all cheaters, maybe don't give

your significant other your passwords

if you're not being faithful.

Well, at least one man will take that advice to heart,

mostly due to the fact that he was caught cheating

in a very public way.

The unidentified man was set up

by both his girlfriend and the girl

he was seeing behind her back

after one of them went into his phone

and found the contact details for the other.

Ooh, that's clever, that's clever.

That's some R. Kelly Trapped in the Closet stuff.

Believe it or not, the pair actually became friends

and decided to confront their mutual boyfriend

by inviting him over for a surprise

while streaming the entire ordeal on Facebook Live.

The man arrived at the side chick's house,

only to be greeted by his girlfriend.

Oh, that sucks!

Without an excuse, he resorts to saying,

"You got me fair and square."

It turns out he took it pretty well

because he had two other dates planned

for the next day.

Well, when it rains it pours.

Good for you, pimpin'.

Number three is a drug raid.

22-year-old Breon Hollings went from

happy-go-lucky to utterly terrified in mere seconds

when police smashed their way

into his Jacksonville, Florida apartment

on June 1st, 2017.

Hollings was just in his room chilling,

flaunting a wad of cash and declaring

"It don't stop, baby!"

All of this, of course, while streaming on Facebook Live

when he and his audience

heard someone calling through a loudspeaker:

"This is the Jacksonville Sheriff's Department!

"We have a search warrant!"

Naturally, a scared Hollings ran from the room

as the sound of glass breaking

and smoke grenades going off could be heard.

Yep, the broadcast continued the whole time

as police conducted a search,

until one of the officers discovered the laptop

and shut it down.

Hollings was charged with multiple offenses,

including possession of a firearm,

numerous illegal drugs,

and possession of paraphernalia.

Is there a way to charge someone

with bad common sense?

Common sense isn't so common anymore.

It should just be called sense,

'cause not a lot of people have it.

Number two is fugitive on the run.

On October 23rd, 2106, 38-year-old

Chandler, Oklahoma resident Michael Dale Vance Junior

went on the lamb after killing his aunt and uncle,

and shooting two police officers.

Now, thought he was in hiding,

he went live twice via Facebook that same night

to explain the crime he'd committed,

and later to reveal that he'd been shot by police.

"Yeah, okay, I did it because

"they didn't put enough money in a Christmas card

Unbelievably, Vance was armed with an AK-47,

which he assured the audience was real,

and he wasn't joking about what was happening.

After shooting two officers in the foot and leg,

Michael stole a cruiser and streamed the first video

from the vehicle's driver seat.

But it doesn't end there,

because he later shot a woman

and stole her Lincoln Town Car,

where he broadcast again,

this time showing the blood on his shirt

where he'd, you know, taken a bullet.

The bragging criminal was ultimate, and sadly,

killed in a firefight with police,

who also had, you know, real guns,

and a lot more of 'em.

And number one is an armed robbery.

When idiot criminals not only decide to record themselves

committing the crime,

but also broadcast it to the world,

well, that's an easy one for police to solve because

they appreciate not needing to search for evidence.

On September 12th, 2016, two 18-year-olds,

Zannay Laws and Dakei Perry,

along with two unidentified men,

robbed a 64-year-old man at gunpoint,

before spraying mace in his face

and then stabbing him.

The attack took place at Wyman Park Dell

in Baltimore, Maryland,

and was captured and streamed via Facebook Live

by one of the assailants.

Well, good thing it was on Facebook,

'cause that could not go on YouTube.

Mm, that's not advertiser-friendly.

The group ended up getting away with

the man's backpack, iPad, keys, and wallet,

which contained a whopping $60.

But luckily the victim survived the attack

and Laws and Perry were arrested

just three days later thanks to, duh,

the video that was obtained after the livestream.

So that was 10 crazy things caught during a livestream.

If you enjoyed this, remember to give it a big thumbs up.

Also, be sure to subscribe and turn on notifications

by clicking the little bell beside the subscribe button,

so that you don't miss a thing,

because I release new videos all the time.

Thank you guys so much for watching,

and I'll see you in the next video, bye!

Joel Matip out as Jurgen Klopp explains squad rotation plans ahead of Brighton trip - Duration: 4:29.

Joel Matip out as Jurgen Klopp explains squad rotation plans ahead of Brighton trip

Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Liverpool centre-back Joel Matip is likely to miss Saturday's trip to take on Brighton in the Premier League.

Matip returned from a short-term thigh problem to start back-to-back games for the Reds in their 1-1 draw with Chelsea and the 3-0 win away to Stoke City on Wednesday night.

But after playing 180 minutes in the space of five days, the Cameroonian is now unlikely to be part of Klopp's squad at the Amex Stadium at the weekend.

Speaking at Melwood on Friday afternoon, Klopp revealed that Matip is not expected to travel, while the manager also provided updates on Ragnar Klavanand Adam Lallana.

"It looks like Joel Matip is out.

After the game he had a little problem, felt something muscle-wise," he told reporters.

"We have to make the final assessment but it doesn't look like he's available for tomorrow.

"Adam Lallana is still building up fitness and Ragnar Klavan was ill.

Hopefully he isn't anymore, especially when you think about Joel's situation.

"It's not that we have a big choice to make in defence, that's the situation.

"A few knocks after the game, a short [break] in the week, Wednesday to Saturday.

[The] final decision will be made after the session at 3 o'clock.".

Klopp made five changes for the Reds' clash with the Blues and then six more in midweek, with the German expected to rotate his side once again in Falmer.

Explaining his approach to team selection during the busiest period of Liverpool's season, Klopp detailed the process involved before he can call upon 18 players for his matchday squad.

"I don't discuss too much with [the medical staff].

I have to accept it," he said.

"That's of course the first talk, I need to know who's in the mixup and who I can think about.

"Then I can make the lineup.

Every player has to show every day how much he wants to be involved.

"That's what the players are doing.

When they do that [then] it depends on the opponent, the moment, the last game, the break to the next game, a lot of things have an influence.

"The best thing is if you have 24 players to think about.

That's not often the case, [but] so far it's worked OK.".

With Matip effectively ruled out and it still unclear whether Klavan will return to the starting lineup, Saturday could be an opportunity to field Joe Gomez at centre-back.

And with Philippe Coutinho and Mohamed Salah both on the substitutes' bench at the bet365 Stadium, Klopp can be expected to make a raft of changes to both midfield and attack, too.

Tesla Franz Von Holzhausen Keynote Address 2017 Audio Only W/Subs - Duration: 51:42.

Thanks for having me here on Thanksgiving Ash

I'm so not nice intro

It's always a little

Challenging

Something so seductive as taste or style or

What what makes a good what what makes it not good why there's so many so few good

Nicely design things I'll put in World versus somebody that are

Maybe I can show a little later not baby

I thought first maybe I would just start with me

Despite the crazy German name I was actually born in America like their generation so

I'm pilot generation I was born in in Connecticut

And

My dad's Auto

Industrial designer

Nissan World

And then made my way

Alta California to go to Art Center moonwalk Union

Prestigious I should say

Art schools out there for

Figuring out how to design vehicles and appear started at at

Especially Yours there

That's faster than German team

I went to the American team hours for tomatoes 45 years

Personality

Almost 9 years with Tesla

That's that's kind of my

Want to get to this point gym

Our studio actually is in Hawthorne California we're not located out here

We're about 120 people down in the studio down there that actually started with me

And you know where our vehicles are global

Everything

Beginnings in in Hawthorne we stayed there since moved to about 10 ft

From our tents to this building here I'm just literally right behind SpaceX

I think you know any kind of creative process really go from

And then

Sorry that I think is logical

We got our inspiration from a lot of different ideas and do that sucks also

Depression I got quite a bit is

Where does inspiration come from

Important

Inspiration for molasses really

Figuring out how to take this deficient idea

Amazing

Tulsa systems

What's the system

Great architectural garden

Imma turn that into a beautiful sculpture and

You know what I saw in the early days in 2008 and 50 Mazda 6

How to make this amazing vehicle

Thing I kept coming back to my mind as well athletes are

Tuned

Florida fish in sea

Everything

Life is really about being the most efficient to be in whatever score 30

Kenny Rogers manager

How they speak in all these things end up

Results in me being their ability to be successful

When atoms sometimes win at all costs band

The result of that is generally of physique

But they haven't eaten since I'm not on the same cuz that's what they're looking for some people

They're trying to take it to the house this time we in

Situation

It's all good

My thought was

Around the same thing like hot

Different goal is to make the most efficient vehicle

Antonym

How about

Visual language that represents decide University of God because athlete is kind of doing the same thing

The language of the Carson's yellow flag

Destiny do the results

So

Inspiration for model SP2 came around this idea

The Ashley's

I was in cycling a good time and and sofas idea kind of

Human body

Gypsum weed lights muscle mass

Times for responding to an athlete

Is what I tried to

Transposed into the language of the vehicle

I think there's there something similar is that

No Thug

The ideas of lean and lift

Means that there's no extra

Body Waves officially on the car the car was kind of heavy and solid in

Walking ceiling

The idea could be that what we're giving up potential range because it's inefficient it's too heavy excetera

Will try to make sure that the car felt plates and being even though you know knowing that

The battery pack explodes and throw heavy car

One of the expression to your body

Officially

Performance

So that's kind of an idea around the inspiration I think you know

Then we also combined

Ideas like functionality into art designs as well

And

Baby spice up, but I think you're my last name Milo packs or actually is the most

Efficiently

Functional headphones not there as well

Find innovation

And this audience functionality to create you know cool clever

I guess that's all the problems

Either one example is the Falcon doors of why the Falcon doors on Mille Lacs

Swahili

Driving back

Andrea Lee model around this idea of

Access into the vehicle

Recent books in order

First developing in

Try to come up with what is

My box and how we make it great how do we make it

Better than

How do you take all the inefficiency stutensee out there in vehicles

If you're not into something positive and I'm scared about a product

And one of the things that we saw in a bigger

SUV type vehicle while it's on

CBS just access into the vehicle Heist to the second and third roses really problem

And if it came down to

There's no easy way to get me into this

Space sliding door works but the sliding doors

Beginning

Lots lot of an access into the new phone

Still have to climb over

No seats in the third row give kids are there at 7

Source in a bigger door swing out you can open them in in parking lots

Went through all these issues that exist that have become kind of the Moon

I hope there isn't There's an opportunity to do something better and make it

Easier to access these things and that's where

The Fountain Garden

Was born is born out of that idea of

Making it making

Life easier to do it when you're trying to give kids and grandparents in Stockton

Giving you a parallel Massachusetts.

Many people having my lights on Avalon you know dealing with my kids and rear seat is so much easier

I'm back on the middle seats are I got into 3rd row seat espresso

No ticking

Taking pause in China songs Elsa Farm Tucson processing in 40 and better functionality and

They're coming cool and they're on my tombstone

You didn't set out but my lights to make cool crazy yours damn about being

In the background

Text InDesign

Thank you another

Another idea

Came in really early days of

Time to call my last name again this is Steven 2008/2009

Looking at just how do you make an interior

India cold last

Longer than eating

Oxidate overtime or Robin on time

And think of me notice was

Vehicles that hold

Has the technology can't keep up with the pace of consumer electronics technology

All about the Tundra phones at 7

So we thought let's just

Get rid of the physical buttons and you know things we had

We had seen iPhone starting to do this by my cousin

Not disprove big screen in the summer that I can share my doctor here in the car industry, Quitman

Anything that needs to be physical into this

Consistently updateable improved about touchscreen

Just being amazing piece of real estate for information flow back and forth

But is we can constantly make it relevant over time and I think we've proven that

Model S LX screen like the car

Batanes is relevant

Push software updates that make the experience better let you

How to make a narwhal

Interaction experience better how to improve navigation how to improve the environment

You can't get that and any other car so if you know where we can kind of pioneer this idea of hope you're out tonight

Dates and

This big access points

What's the girl that Jeremy Adams

Opposite were seeing other people trying to do that now but

It was really born out of

Let's just make this a simpler better experience and one that you can enjoy and makes your car

But on the team picked out a bunch.

I got this question a few times having the field is on the most anticipated car seats, too

I'm assuming that's a Model S

At the end of the time I don't know I don't know that we actually really thought that

When I started at us like we didn't even have the Roadster on the road again

Fairly decent career and jumping into a company.

Take me home, but you know there is something that I can really

Grasp onto

I don't think we ever I ever approached the idea of Designing

Model S as the most interesting part I think it was an opportunity to make an amazing vehicle

And

I don't know anybody that wouldn't want to jump on that opportunity to really

Take take us Brandy architectural that I that I saw in Africa inside could really change people's lives

To make a better overall

Lines of my style

And make beautiful

Time table

So

This time I approach I didn't feel the pressure of it until

We need to determine success

You guys are the ones who created successful soda

Thank you for thinking of me some for you guys then I would be underwear

Being able to continue to talk about great products at work

So

Why there is pressure because he had to hit on me I didn't grand slam of this for this product for me but

But this is a great opportunity in hockey

Let's take everything I've learned from the other

My other experiences Jefferson all the old bad ideas and just

Make a great design product out of it

Unless you get the safest cars in the world well that's not just a design question that's an overall principle that way

But thank God. We want to make sure is that everything that you do

Translate Pacific audit

The challenge is not in the automotive industry is

Combining all these ideas the engineering principles

Functionality

Disconnect security

Manufacturing process into

Basically a

Device that carries people around and needs to do at Safeway

So you know I think

The Corner Bar

Of our hearts in our principles on Tesla's really

Ben strong safety Safety First Premier we want to make sure that

Putting out my star.

From there we start to work that this process

A very intense

Communication process office between

Engineers manufacturing and Design

To take these challenges and turn them into something beautiful so it's not a silly question is

Summer Pines testing design but it's not really

About designing

The safest vehicles but I try to do and what we

Mike

Personal philosophy is

You shouldn't ever have to worry about safety in your vehicle and we shouldn't ever make it

Books

Necessary like it's encumbered by safety

You should know that it's the safest beautiful and

You should be able to enjoy

The other attributes of people make that up beautiful

Experience so my job is actually

To make it not look

Beautiful

Knowing that they were South Carolina safety elements in there so

How to pronounce Bank Plus

What is your definition of diversity

Designer Slaughter Union very stylish and design are some designers are are are

Simply Stylin schematic to me this is a little bit more of a question of just

Idea

Making a great product person

Chris is making a piece of art design is really about solving problems

And steering not in a way that

It's people trying to bug to the solution makes your life better and makes it better overall experience

To me signing is more

Personal

It's more about creating an art object in way

That's more specific to

My personal specific tastes as opposed to

Sonic hub

The bigger call home

So

I think you can open

I Tesla where is much desires as we are engineers and snow

I like to think that our Engineers are as much

Designers ask Juniors as well and so we have this really good

Conversation that happens consistently

Design doesn't ever evolve

Without a good engineering and support team on nothing we have some of the best Engineers on I meant working

And that collaboration is what truly makes

LeBron design great

We can come up with all sorts of styled ideas but we don't have

Good

For the good communication good pop to working together to solve the problems that it doesn't ever really becoming

Sign into Stanford really come to fruition

Make me some in pots

Sun your car seems like a paradox constitu production exterior versus interior size versus efficiency

Your experience index

I think that's actually true

Yeah there's a lot of

Disparate thinking that goes into it we want to make something that's beautiful but there's all these restrictions that make it challenging weather

Safety aspects on a material aspect of manufacturing

Solution side

Attempts to you know

Fishing pole

I think

In general the most challenging aspect

At a higher level is really been.

Making sure that we have that good communication between the designer and engineer to solve the problem into it in

Efficient act beautiful

I think you know we touched on maybe you know the Falcon doors I think we're

A challenge

You have this idea about getting

Came up with the idea to move the doors up

How are we going to compass on how do you dive in a

Graceful income

I think you know

How do you actually it's on stop and make.

And I think that one still

Really

Beautiful concept I think it actually

Softball

And it just

I think the bigger challenge was

And I think you know when the product comes out

I got me to have that conversation around it I think

I think you give me the AAA you put in them

Thank you for all the work you've done

I am curious as the energy density goes on batteries

Are you going to think about it

Yeah I know I think that's a good question

Already

Overall architecture that's afforded by having a battery pack and Motors between the wheels battery pack down

And it's really

In my mind

It's a lot of stuff to do

Some really creative in England things I mean fruit of popular sedan

The Vault 7 people

So

Already the architecture of the vehicle

I got a problem

Working on

Never giving up

Look who pursue both End of Days

Just a quick question on I know we talked about 120 people in your

On your team

You're the designer how much sharing how many other people are contributing to either an area or

Kind of the are you in charge of the overall

Look when it's done are you delegating how much you delegating

Gas compression I think it's important to understand that you want a big big

Sumter Inn

All the design in the design decisions that are made my test lines she and I have a good

Relationship lubricants through Arkansas and design Solutions together

But there's thousands and thousands and thousands of these decisions made all the time and so we've got a team

That's really built surrounds an efficient process of going from

The ideation phase of

Body like

Let's go do this

2

Getting out onto the road and it looks a lot of nuts and bolts that goes on behind the scenes. No biggie

Really is pretty to understands

And so we have a bunch of week behind a small or a team of designers that are

An hour to make decisions as well

The ultrasound basically to ultimately the product and like I said I was

Nothing away pulling it all together and making sure the front yard is

My God is it doesn't mean that I'm not out there to sign in with my team as well we have

I'm digital designers we have digital visual

Designers that are working we were in the ark of God we have Clay modelers still figured that we use because at the end of the day

Vehicles are called the United Metal in Portland

Process of just understanding the three-dimensionality

With avocado Springfield actually interested to do all the prep actually seems so that it's kind of

Vertically integrated from just like

Crescent Tesla from beginning to end on good 45 days we do everything Under One Roof

Efficiency

And we do you know all sorts of trim and material developments

So bring me all these kind of just bread and getting things together too

The product is is basically why we have them

Rap song Titanium

There's quite a bit of

Still sensitive

Again I

I like to make sure that

All the details all that but the big picture in a small picture pieces are all making broth singing harmoniously

Is Muhammad long as possible

And then maybe

Hi I'm so glad to be here so you have a pretty robust like traditional Auto design background

Contrast Lake

Tesla's

Integration with the engineering and Manufacturing teams relative to the more traditional automakers like

Engineering manufacturing team state

Yeah I mean I think our special sauce is really getting impatient and that's the one thing about

I feel really helps us and enables us to

Pizzerias on top of trailer Solutions

Communication and interaction of the teams working together

I've come from backgrounds where designers have an idea

33rd Third Kind of

In terms of

Anytime official Identity or resembling anything of what we sent over so you can kind of this mail process of

You totally

Not that. We just sit next to each other we want bachelor's Dustin Drive constantly

And I think that's afforded us just a better overall dialogue that happens

Like I said I think you know

R&R designers in Canterbury engineering laser already coming to the today conversation

Red solution sets her mind on how we could engineering engineering thinking out of aesthetic level

How they can call themselves while I think that's to me that's

Probably one of the bigger things that sounds so busy. Did not come with big corporate world it's not

5 Things To Do In Amsterdam - Duration: 3:55.

Hi guys!

This video is about five things to do in Amsterdam.

There are a ton of things to choose from but these are five that I think are worthy of your time

and also don't take a ton of time.

So if you already have an itinerary planned, these are things that you can just slot in as little extras.

And number one is to do a boat cruise of the canals.

I feel like this almost goes without saying because when you think of Amsterdam

I'm guessing the first thing that comes to mind are obviously those quaint, historic canals

and there are a ton of different boat companies that you can choose from.

You should get a historical overview of the whole city canal system

as well as specific buildings that you'll pass on the route.

You get a completely different perspective from the water

and I think it really is something that you need to do while you're in the city.

If you're wondering if it's worth the money I definitely think that it is.

Number two is to see Amsterdam by bike.

I feel like after you've seen it from the water, the other must-see perspective

is from the back of a bicycle.

You have two options, of course.

You can either rent a bike yourself, if you're confident.

If you're not, I wouldn't recommend it because biking in Amsterdam is serious business

and there are a lot of people on the road.

I actually got a ride.

So I was staying with amazing friends who said that even better than doing the bicycling yourself

is to sit on the back so that you can have the pleasure of looking around.

So they very kindly gave Marc and I a ride through the city

and it was one of my favourite memories, honestly, just being able to look around

and you still feel a part of it being in the bike lane.

So definitely either rent a bike yourself or, if you can manage it, try to get a ride.

I think one cheek is on now!

Number three is to visit the Flower Market or the Bloememarkt

and this began in 1862 and technically this is a floating market

because all of the stalls are floating on the canal

because of course they are - this is Amsterdam.

The Flower Market really evokes those old days when the market was supplied daily by boat

and it's a great place to just look around or if you want to buy some souvenirs

you can get seeds or bulbs to take home.

Just make sure they have a customs stamp clearly marked on the package

to make sure you don't have an issue at the border.

Number four might sound kind of funny but it's to order food at a vending machine

and apparently fast food wasn't fast enough for the Dutch because they've made it even faster.

You just choose whatever hot snack you want,

including a lot of those Dutch fried foods that I talked about in my last video

where I tried a bunch of delicious Dutch food.

I will link that up here.

Kaassouffle, krokets, you can get hamburgers and sausages.

They're all in there.

You just pick whichever hot snack you want, put your money in the slot, and away you go.

Easy peasy.

Number five is to take a photo with the I Amsterdam sign

and it's usually crawling with people

so the chances of getting a photo with nobody else in it are extremely unlikely

but I actually think that's part of the fun because this is also a great people watching spot.

There are two signs in the city but the best one is at the back of the Rijksmuseum

which you'll find on Museumplein.

It's more than 2 metres tall and the slogan is 23.5 metres wide.

There's also a set of letters at the Schipol Airport which you can find if you arrive by air

and there's a third sign that actually changes location.

Sometimes it's at fashion shows, at fairs, at festivals, and other events

so you can watch for that one too.

The term I Amsterdam actually began as a marketing campaign

but now it's been adopted by locals - who, of course, have been greeting people from all over the world

and still greet millions of tourists every year

and it's kind of a way to say, hey, Amsterdam isn't just for us.

It's for everybody.

So those are five things that I thought were fun to do in Amsterdam

and worth recommending to you.

you can get seeds or bulbs to take home.
