Largest Locomotive, Pizza, & Chef Boyardee in Omaha - Duration: 16:25.good warm morning I'm here in Omaha and I'm gonna use every trick in the book
you know since Lincoln and Omaha here know free campsites so I am utilizing a
great resource from free capsized on net here at Cabela's which allows overnight
parking this is another big class a behind me got the same idea for a safe
spot to park the RV but I got the bike so I can go take that downtown and just
like the Lincoln I'll be able to maneuver around it's great because I
probably wouldn't be able to do this in the past before I had another source of
transportation you know once I parked the RV in a comfortable spot you know
get everything set up and get all the fans running in all the windows and
everything I'm not gonna not gonna want to bring this thing around it it's just
it's just not fun bringing RV in any big city so but I do want to see what Omaha
has this is my last day in Nebraska so let's go see what I can find for like
Eric quirky or possibly Lincoln Highway related stuff in Omaha and then stick
around to the end of the video I have an update I want to share with you some
some changes on the way in the meantime let's let's have fun in in Omaha today
Wow you think you need to stretch the cat legs okay well let's stretch the cat
legs then that pavement might be too warm
let me see no no that's okay what's the plan here I know but what's
the plan he's gonna meow at everything hey let's press your balls man I'll be
gone for a couple hours
I'll bring you back some nice food okay there you go sniff that over there
okay go and sniff that then okay we shopping - do you want to have your
lunch early today Jax you want to eat it hello
are you hungry you want to eat early yes lucky cat I'm gonna eat at 10 a.m. you
tricked me okay all right buster you got food and
water you good to go I'll see hello Becky Oh
what a nice day pretty pink trees by the way that's the first time I've ever ran
out of gas on the TW two hundred just was not paying attention to the odometer
and ran out of gas had to use reserved and then get to a gas station that's a
convenient that's the first time I ran out of gas though and not sure if I
mentioned it but it's 18 miles from where I parked at Cabela's to downtown
Omaha so I'm quite a distance away far enough away that it was nice not
bringing the RV it did get some tips on where to start my day here so I'm
starting at kenefick Park and there are some big steam locomotives up on this
pretty trail so we'll go for a little walk up here they have a tram that will
take you up and down I don't know how far it is I was just gonna walk though
we see I got a layer of sunscreen on as well and I brought the sunscreen with me
100 SPF cuz I burn bad I love the Sun but I burn bad interesting artwork off
the side here big train tires wheels I got some plaques here talking about the
history of the Union Pacific Railroad and Omaha
it says here Lincoln established the eastern terminus of the railroad as the
eastern boundary of the Missouri River directly across from Omaha City pretty
cool park as you're walking up cheap farms free homes song the line of a
Pacific Railroad
oh boy and there we go oh those are some big boys there's two of them I do
apologize it looks like everything here is gonna be shot directly into the Sun
but you got that one there and this one is actually the largest steam train ever
built
there's a picture of it in action they're working here at the yards the
big boy locomotive 4023 it has a pulling power equal to seven thousand horsepower
at its 70 miles per hour design speed
there she is guys
let's stand next to it see how tall the wheels are taller ngayon well I do
apologize for the highway noise but there's a me coming in from Iowa
right over there that's your welcome you get to see this off the highway and I'm
still hunting for some lunch ideas I don't have any plans for lunch so we'll
just have to look around anyway sorry for all the background noise and
everything let's get back to the bike and get back on the road
that is so funny I just said I was hungry and I had no plans when you're
looking for a sign and all of a sudden there's a huge fork in the road with
spaghetti on it yeah somebody's piece of artwork here yeah that's art with a huge
fork and spaghetti and as it turns out there is a pizzeria cafe right down here
so I'm gonna go try that out for grub here in Omaha mm-hmm yep you could smell
what I'm smelling right now here at horseys bakery and pizzeria oh man that
smells good well I ordered my pizza from this neat
little they're like a deli - so they got deli stuff and they're working on making
this into a seating area so I'm gonna eat in here
enjoy some air conditioning and just gonna set up a seat here in the waiting
area and then get back doesn't get much better than that guys got pepperoni and
bacon in there and some cheese bread on the way to
I'll get back to you yeah took me a while to figure out who this statue is
here I was thinking in my mind who's a famous chef and then I looked on his
shirt it says Chef Boyardee so raviolis SpaghettiOs
all those good ins that you find here's a statue for mister chef boyardee kind
of different right I'm parked over here in the shade nice Park over here I want
to go check it out the park real quick are you kidding me this is beautiful
here in Omaha check out this park I mean could the
grass be any greener look at these beautiful trees look at this massive
fountain whoa I can actually feel the mist of that water from standing right
here because the lens getting wet a little bit that feels good though Wow
blue the water is
that's cool
I was wondering what that sign meant that said purchase gondola tickets I
guess in the summertime you can rent like a Venice style gondola and take a
take a cruise out here in the water pretty unique little city
I'm enjoying today's little stroll around Omaha
this the tallest basketball baseball player in Omaha interesting Nebraska
doesn't actually have any pro football or baseball teams but this monument may
be in protest of that or something that's interesting he's huge
and there's literally nothing here written about what we're looking at so
Omaha wants you to keep your imagination open holy cow have I got something to
show you this is amazing the spirit of Nebraska the true nomads look at this
amazing monument it stretches all the way around this entire block travelers
it's that awesome or what this has to be one of the most massive I mean it's just
good cut all this guy is it's just they're just gonna travel all the way
around this entire block look at the detail of these horses that is beautiful
and then just continues right on up how beautiful is that Wow a rough journey no
doubt I don't think he's got a refrigerator in that covered wagon like
I do in the RV so Omaha is nice I'd like to spend more time here but I didn't
come here for the big city I came here for the Lincoln Highway type stuff and
just wanted to get some fresh air on the bike so now I'm gonna head back and
spend the rest of the day with Jax again maneuvering the bike in a big city
doesn't get any better so much easier love it so I got about 18 19 miles to
get back to Cabela's and catch up with you want to get there
how's that working for you then did that work pretty good well I missed you too
man by the way as as it heats up throughout the year and starting right
now actually I save a bunch of propane by not using the water heater at all
this time of year there's no need to heat the water because the
room-temperature water in my onboard freshwater tank I mean it's 7075 degrees
just sitting there in the tank and that's like taking a cold shower you
know so it's actually really refreshing to just take a room temperature or cold
shower as I say without using the water heater at all and really just makes me
feel much much much cooler on the road and saves a bunch of propane a couple
things I want to talk about real quick and guess anybody missed it or new
subscribers or wondering it just the fact that summer is on the way and how
do I keep cool and survive how does Jax manage without me in the heat and the
blistering eating everything if you're watching this on your laptop I
will put a link up top you can click on that card and it'll take you to a great
video I put together talking about how we survive in the summer if it's over
like 80 or 90 degrees okay generally I try to stay out of really hot climates
but sometimes there's just no avoiding that so you can watch that for the
absolute specifics but just to give you a quick rundown if like today I got back
it was 79 degrees inside the RV now an RV is not like a vehicle okay you cannot
leave a pet in a vehicle if it's over 75 degrees outside you just can't do it but
that's because cars don't have screened windows and fans running off of solar
all around keeping air circulating fresh and keeping it cool in the RV now it'll
only work to a certain extent as I have noticed if it is over 90 degrees outside
then fans aren't going to cut it it will breach 95 inside even with my current
system with all the fans so monitoring the thermostat remotely from
my phone I can do my Smart Start and have it ready already when I leave you
know with the air conditioning in the cab Jax knows when the engine starts and
not around he'll go up and sit on the ledge of the couch right there and just
bathe in the air condition until I get back or I just won't leave him very long
during hot times I'll take him I'll drive the RV around instead of the bike
and we'll take his cat stroller out or go for walks like that or I will run the
generator I have no problem doing that I still love to boondock I still prefer
this over in RV park right so I'm getting unlimited solar but if I have to
guess I will close all the windows and the doors Jack's now sitting here with
the generator burning gas for some air conditioning on the roof and we will
make it 70 degrees inside comfortable but generally I don't have any of the
other concerns that people do that live down in California and Florida in
Arizona in the summertime I don't know what to tell you cuz I just choose to
stay away from those particular areas but then you got this I mean look we're
not even in the summer yet and we're already bordering 80 degrees every
single day here in Nebraska so strange it's hitting this time comfortable and
fine I don't think I burned today I look a little red but I swear I had sunscreen
on I don't care it'll turn to tan later wanted to talk to you about what's going
on now so last day in Nebraska tomorrow I'm gonna head not east don't worry guys
I'm gonna take you along for the journey but I have decided to take a very very
quick break from Lincoln Highway just like I did in Utah before I get into
Iowa I'm gonna go down south a little bit about 120 miles I got some friends
down there I want to meet up with I want to get a couple of things done inside
the RV do all my oil changes and everything and just hang out with some
good people so there will be a Lincoln Highway break for a couple videos it's
gonna be okay I swear if you have to take a couple days off because you just
can't stand the fact that I deter from my plan it's okay I understand we're
still gonna find plenty of Lincoln stuff down
as well so hang tight guys Jackson I'll see you in a couple days on
wherever we end up and whatever happens have a great day bye

Everyone Missed It! Prince Harry Honored - Duration: 19:38.Everyone Missed It! Prince Harry Honored His Mother Princess Diana During Wedding In Beautiful
Way
Although the royal wedding seems like a great way to burn through $43 million dollars of
British taxpayer money at least Prince Harry did something that was good with that huge
gift.
Losing a parent is something that can devastate a person of any age, and it couldn't have
been easy for Prince Harry when he lost what is possibly the last royal family member who
ever had the respect of the entire world. Diana Princess of Wales. He was only 12 then.
But 20 years after his mother Diana was k****d in a tragic car accident as her driver was
trying to evade the constant cameras Prince Harry decided to honor his mother in a way
that not many in this world could ever dream of being able to do for their own mothers.
Princess Diana was there in spirit throughout the whole engagement and her son and daughter-in-law
made sure to include her memory every step of the way. At the wedding ceremony, the couple
left a seat open for her. If she had been alive, that's where she would have sat to
watch her youngest son exchange wedding vows.
Even the engagement ring, Prince Harry gave Meghan Markle used two diamonds from his mother's
personal collection and Markle's classic bouquet of flowers had some of Diana's favorite
flowers, forget-me-nots, which Harry picked himself the day before the wedding. They also
involve Lady Jane Fellowes, Princess Diana's sister, in the ceremony. Where they had her
read from Song of Solomon at St. George's Chapel.
And last but not least Markle did what both Princess Diana and Kate Middleton did to their
vows. they all omitted the word "Obey."
It's nice to see all these tributes to a woman who was not only a great mother to both
her sons, but who was so important to a world that so needed her.
Here is more on Princess Diana via Biography:
"Princess Diana was Princess of Wales while married to Prince Charles. One of the most
adored members of the British royal family, she died in a 1997 car crash.
Who Was Princess Diana?
Born Diana Spencer on July 1, 1961, Princess Diana became Lady Diana Spencer after her
father inherited the title of Earl Spencer in 1975. She married the heir to the British
throne, Prince Charles, on July 29, 1981. They had two sons and later divorced in 1996.
Diana died on August 31, 1997, from injuries she sustained in a car crash in Paris. She
is remembered as the "People's Princess" because of her widespread popularity and global
humanitarian efforts.
British royalty Princess Diana Spencer was born on July 1, 1961, near Sandringham, England.
Diana, Princess of Wales, was one of the most adored members of the British royal family.
She was the daughter of Edward John Spencer, Viscount Althorp, and Frances Ruth Burke Roche,
Viscountess Althorp (later known as the Honorable Frances Shand Kydd). Her parents divorced
when Diana was young, and her father won custody of the children. Following her initial education
at home, Diana attended Riddlesworth Hall School and then West Heath School.
She became Lady Diana Spencer after her father inherited the title of Earl Spencer in 1975.
Although she was known for her shyness while growing up, she did show an interest in music
and dancing. Diana also had a great fondness for children. After attending finishing school
at Institut Alpin Videmanette in Switzerland, she moved to London. She began working with
children, eventually becoming an assistant at Young England Kindergarten.
Marriage to Prince Charles Diana was no stranger to the British royal
family, having reportedly played with Prince Andrew and Prince Edward as a child while
her family rented Park House, an estate owned by Queen Elizabeth II. In 1977, she became
reacquainted with their older brother, Prince Charles, who was 13 years her senior.
As the heir to the British throne, Prince Charles was usually the subject of media attention,
and his courtship of Diana was no exception. The press and the public were fascinated by
this seemingly odd couple—the reserved, garden-loving prince and the shy young woman
with an interest in fashion and popular culture. When the couple married on July 29, 1981,
the ceremony was broadcast on television around the world, with millions of people tuning
in to see what many considered to be the wedding of the century.
Family Life and Divorce On June 21, 1982, Diana and Charles had their
first child: Prince William Arthur Philip Louis. He was joined by a brother, Prince
Henry Charles Albert David—known widely as "Prince Harry"—more than two years
later, on September 15, 1984. Initially overwhelmed by her royal duties and the intense media
coverage of nearly every aspect of her life, she began to develop and pursue her own interests.
Diana served as a strong supporter of many charities and worked to help the homeless,
people living with HIV and AIDS and children in need.
Unfortunately, the fairy tale wedding of Princess Diana and Prince Charles did not lead to a
happily-ever-after marriage. The two became estranged over the years, and there were reports
of infidelities from both parties. During their union, Diana struggled with depression
and bulimia. The couple's separation was announced in December 1992 by British Prime
Minister John Major, who read a statement from the royal family to the House of Commons.
The divorce was finalized in 1996.
How Did She D*e? Even after the divorce, Diana maintained a
high level of popularity. She devoted herself to her sons and to such charitable efforts
as raising awareness about the dangers of leftover land mines in war-torn Angola. She
also continued to experience the negative aspects of fame, whipping the British tabloids
into a frenzy when she began dating Egyptian film producer and playboy Dodi Fayed in 1997.
While visiting Paris, the couple was involved in a car crash after trying to escape from
the paparazzi early in the morning of August 31, 1997. Fayed and the driver were pronounced
d**d at the scene; Diana initially survived the crash, but succumbed to her injuries at
a Paris hospital a few hours later.
News of her sudden, senseless d***h shocked the world. Queen Elizabeth II, who was criticized
for not immediately responding publicly to Diana's d***h, made a televised address
from Buckingham Palace on September 5, in which she said: "No one who knew Diana will
ever forget her. Millions of others who never met her, but felt they knew her, will remember
her. I, for one, believe there are lessons to be drawn from her life and from the extraordinary
and moving reaction to her d***h. I share in your determination to cherish her memory."
On the morning of September 6, Diana's funeral procession commenced from Kensington Palace,
her coffin resting on a g*n carriage drawn by six black horses. Thousands of mourners
packed the street to watch, with 15-year-old Prince William and 12-year-old Prince Harry
joining the final stretch of the four-mile procession for their mother.
An estimated 2.5 million people tuned in on television to watch the ceremony at Westminster
Abbey, which featured a powerful eulogy from Diana's brother, Earl Charles Spencer, and
a performance from Elton John. Afterward, her body was laid to rest on a small island
at her family's estate, Althorp.
Controversy and Legacy Following an investigation into the fatal
accident, a report released in 1999 determined that the driver was at fault for driving at
a high speed while under the influence of alcohol and anti-depressant drugs. Charges
were dropped against several photographers who were initially blamed for causing the
crash.
Despite the report, rumors persisted for years about alternative reasons for the accident.
One conspiracy theory held that it was part of an assassination arranged by the royal
family, although no additional evidence emerged to support that theory.
In 2007, just before the 10th anniversary of her d***h, Princes William and Harry honored
their beloved mother with a special concert that took place on what would have been her
46th birthday. The proceeds of the event went to charities supported by Diana and her sons.
Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton also remembered Diana when naming their second
child, Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, who was born on May 2, 2015.
Continuing her charitable efforts, the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund was founded
after her d***h to provide resources for palliative care, penal reform, asylum and other issues.
In 2013, the fund was incorporated into The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of
Cambridge and Prince Harry.
In 2017, 20 years after her d***h, a collection of Diana's memorable ensembles earned an
exhibition at Kensington Palace. Later that year, it was revealed that her life had inspired
a musical: Simply titled Diana, the production reportedly offered a dramatized version of
her days leading up to the royal wedding in 1981, and was set to debut at San Diego's
La Jolla Playhouse
in 2018."
