Youtube daily report May 31 2018

In 1963, a 21-year-old physicist named Stephen Hawking

was diagnosed with a rare neuromuscular disorder

called amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS.

Gradually, he lost the ability to walk,

use his hands,

move his face,

and even swallow.

But throughout it all, he retained his incredible intellect,

and in the more than 50 years that followed,

Hawking became one of history's most accomplished and famous physicists.

However, his condition went uncured

and he passed away in 2018 at the age of 76.

Decades after his diagnosis,

ALS still ranks as one of the most complex,

mysterious,

and devastating diseases to affect humankind.

Also called motor neuron disease and Lou Gehrig's Disease,

ALS affects about two out of every 100,000 people worldwide.

When a person has ALS,

their motor neurons,

the cells responsible for all voluntary muscle control in the body,

lose function and die.

No one knows exactly why or how these cells die

and that's part of what makes ALS so hard to treat.

In about 90% of cases,

the disease arises suddenly, with no apparent cause.

The remaining 10% of cases are hereditary,

where a mother or father with ALS passes on a mutated gene to their child.

The symptoms typically first appear after age 40.

But in some rare cases, like Hawking's, ALS starts earlier in life.

Hawking's case was also a medical marvel because of how long he lived with ALS.

After diagnosis, most people with the disease live between 2 to 5 years

before ALS leads to respiratory problems that usually cause death.

What wasn't unusual in Hawking's case was that his ability to learn,

think,

and perceive with his senses remained intact.

Most people with ALS do not experience impaired cognition.

With so much at stake for the 120,000 people

who are diagnosed with ALS annually,

curing the disease has become one of our most important scientific

and medical challenges.

Despite the many unknowns,

we do have some insight into how ALS impacts the neuromuscular system.

ALS affects two types of nerve cells called the upper and lower motor neurons.

In a healthy body, the upper motor neurons,

which sit in the brain's cortex,

transmit messages from the brain to the lower motor neurons,

situated in the spinal cord.

Those neurons then transmit the message into muscle fibers,

which contract or relax in response,

resulting in motion.

Every voluntary move we make occurs

because of messages transmitted along this pathway.

But when motor neurons degenerate in ALS,

their ability to transfer messages is disrupted,

and that vital signaling system is thrown into chaos.

Without their regular cues, the muscles waste away.

Precisely what makes the motor neurons degenerate

is the prevailing mystery of ALS.

In hereditary cases, parents pass genetic mutations on to their children.

Even then, ALS involves multiple genes

with multiple possible impacts on motor neurons,

making the precise triggers hard to pinpoint.

When ALS arises sporadically, the list of possible causes grows:

toxins,

viruses,

lifestyle,

or other environmental factors may all play roles.

And because there are so many elements involved,

there's currently no single test that can determine whether someone has ALS.

Nevertheless, our hypotheses on the causes are developing.

One prevailing idea is that certain proteins inside the motor neurons

aren't folding correctly,

and are instead forming clumps.

The misfolded proteins and clumps may spread from cell to cell.

This could be clogging up normal cellular processes,

like energy and protein production, which keep cells alive.

We've also learned that along with motor neurons and muscle fibers,

ALS could involve other cell types.

ALS patients typically have inflammation in their brains and spinal cords.

Defective immune cells may also play a role in killing motor neurons.

And ALS seems to change the behavior of specific cells

that provide support for neurons.

These factors highlight the disease's complexity,

but they may also give us a fuller understanding of how it works,

opening up new avenues for treatment.

And while that may be gradual, we're making progress all the time.

We're currently developing new drugs,

new stem cell therapies to repair damaged cells,

and new gene therapies to slow the advancement of the disease.

With our growing arsenal of knowledge,

we look forward to discoveries that can change the future

for people living with ALS.

3rd Hamburg International Music Festival | Festival Recap - Duration: 2:06.

Hamburg's Music Festival has finally arrived at its destination.

It is actually taking place for the first time at the Elbphilharmonie.

This time it is a very suitable duo, namely the term »utopia«.

I think it's important to ask questions and to go to places that are still not defined.

This is utopia.

You could say that Stockhausen is the father of electronic music.

Even in today's contemporary electronic music, you can hear elements that he used in his

early electronic works in the 1950s and 60s in Cologne.

It's not unexpected that this artist, who executed radical ideas

regardless of interest – or lack thereof –, also serves as a role model

for anyone who explores the arts.

Roseanne Barr, Back on Twitter, Has More to Say - Duration: 11:23.

Roseanne Barr, Back on Twitter, Has More to Say

Hours after ABC canceled her reboot of "Roseanne" because of her racist tweet about a former senior adviser to President Barack Obama, Ms.

Barr returned to the platform and posted more than 100 times.

She tweeted, retweeted, reply-tweeted and, in many cases, deleted tweets from her account, @therealroseanne, which has been active since March 2011 and has 774,000 followers.

Barr's overnight barrage comprised apologetic remarks, aggrieved statements, personal attacks, fond messages to her supporters and pointed references to the shadowy conspiracy theories that have long been a staple of her social media presence.

The stream of tweets began hours after she declared, "I apologize.

I am now leaving Twitter.".

Sign Up For the Morning Briefing Newsletter.

After two tweets apologizing again to the former presidential adviser, Valerie Jarrett, Ms.

Barr addressed her supporters directly at 12:03 a.m.

Eastern time, telling them not to defend her — even if she thought it was "sweet" of them to try.

Losing her show, she wrote, was nothing compared with being labeled a racist over a single tweet.

"That I regret even more," she wrote.

An hour earlier, in a tweet she later deleted, she apologized "to the hundreds of people, and wonderful writers (all liberal) and talented actors who lost their jobs.

Not long before that, she retweeted a post from the account @LegendaryEnergy, which has more than 15,000 followers, that defended the post by Ms.

Barr that had started the firestorm: a tweet likening Ms.

Jarrett to the Muslim Brotherhood and "Planet of the Apes.".

"I look like a monkey," @LegendaryEnergy wrote.

"Why? My DNA is 96% similar to a monkey's.

It makes scientific sense.".

At one point overnight, Ms.

Barr blamed the insomnia medication Ambien for the incendiary tweet.

In a post she later deleted, she wrote: "It was 2 in the morning and I was Ambien tweeting." But that tweet also had a note of contrition, saying the offensive post had gone too far.

"It was egregious," she wrote.

"Indefensible. I made a mistake.".

In response to several people on Twitter, Ms.

Barr claimed she did not know Ms.

Jarrett was African-American.

"I thought she was Saudi," she said to one supporter.

To others, she tweeted that she believed Ms.

Jarrett was "Jewish and Persian.".

At 12:37 a.m., Ms.

Barr replied to a tweet from the account @therealcornett, which falsely claimed that Channing Dungey, the president of ABC Entertainment, had consulted with "an enraged" Michelle Obama before deciding to cancel "Roseanne.".

"Is this true?" Ms. Barr wrote.

She went on to retweet a clip of an interview with the 2012 Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain that had been originally posted by the Fox Business host Trish Regan.

"I believe they were looking for a reason to cancel Roseanne and here's why," Mr Cain said in the clip.

"Even though the show was a ratings success, forces within ABC didn't like the fact that her conservative defense of certain things was so popular.".

She also retweeted a post by Jack Posobiec — a right-wing commentator who promoted the "Pizzagate" hoax — that included a photograph of the comedian George Carlin with the caption, "This man wouldn't last a day on Twitter.

In another self-serving retweet, Ms.

Barr posted words of encouragement from the right-wing British commentator Katie Hopkins, who lost her job last year at the radio station LBC after tweeting that a "final solution" was needed to combat terrorism.

"I have found the more I am fired, the busier I become," Ms.

Hopkins wrote.

"You are headed for greatness.".

Barr also reacted to "Roseanne" cast members.

In response to Michael Fishman, who played Ms.

Barr's son on the show and posted a statement condemning Ms.

Barr's tweet, she responded at 5 a.m., "You throw me under the bus.

Nice!".

But she also offered apologies to Ms.

Jarrett.

"@ValerieJarrett I want to apologize to you.

I am very sorry to have hurt you.

I hope you can accept this sincere apology!" she posted at 11:39 p.m.

Minutes later she wrote to Ms.

Jarrett again, saying her words had been insensitive and tasteless.

"I am truly sorry," she wrote.

"My whole life has been about fighting racism.

I made a terrible mistake." .

As the dawn approached, Ms.

Barr seemed ready to log off: "thanks for all your kind comments, everyone! Love u all goodnight.".

But she was back on the platform soon afterward, with a stream of retweets including one of a post that attacked Ms.

Jarrett — made by an account that purports to belong to a Georgia politician, but is a known fake.

Then there was her retweet of a statement of support from a real politician — one of her fans — President Trump.

"Bob Iger of ABC called Valerie Jarrett to let her know that 'ABC does not tolerate comments like those' made by Roseanne Barr," the president tweeted.

"Gee, he never called President Donald J.

Trump to apologize for the HORRIBLE statements made and said about me on ABC.

Maybe I just didn't get the call?".

Not long after the encouragement from the White House, Ms.

Barr sounded a more combative tone, posting a tweet on Wednesday at 2:54 p.m.

that suggested she was not about to leave the public sphere quietly: "You guys make me feel like fighting back.

I will examine all of my options carefully.".

'Racism is not a known side effect,' Ambien maker says after Roseanne Barr blames it for tweets - Duration: 6:14.

'Racism is not a known side effect,' Ambien maker says after Roseanne Barr blames it for tweets

"People of all races, religions and nationalities work at Sanofi every day to improve the lives of people around the world," the U.S.

division of pharmaceutical giant Sanofi said in a tweet Wednesday.

"While all pharmaceutical treatments have side effects, racism is not a known side effect of any Sanofi medication.".

Just hours earlier, Barr had claimed to have been "ambien tweeting" when she attacked Valerie Jarrett, who was an adviser to President Barack Obama, by writing: "muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj.

Barr later claimed that the tweet was "a joke," but ABC on Tuesday canceled the reboot of her TV show, "Roseanne," and ABC Entertainment President Channing Dungey called the star's tweets "abhorrent" and "repugnant.

Barr tweeted an apology to Jarrett for "making a bad joke about her politics and her looks," and offered several more apologies — including one in which she said she was using the sleep aid when she tweeted about Jarrett.

"It was 2 in the morning and I was ambien tweeting, I made a mistake I wish I hadn't but … don't defend it please," Barr said in a since-deleted tweet that prompted Sanofi's response.

Ambien's most common side effects are drowsiness, dizziness, diarrhea and grogginess, the company says. The Food and Drug Administration has warned against risks of morning drowsiness when taking drugs that contain zolpidem, a widely used medication marketed under brand names such as Ambien, Ambien CR, Edluar and Zolpimist.

The FDA recommends lower bedtime doses for zolpidem.

The drug, which is a sedative-hypnotic medication, does lead to abnormal behavior, such as memory loss, anxiety, worsening of depression, suicidal thoughts and, very rarely, hallucinations.

A paper, titled "I Did What?" Zolpidem and the Courts," published in the Journal of the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law in 2011 lists sleeping behaviors that have been linked to zolpidem.

These include driving, talking, eating and having sex while asleep.

One case cited involved a patient who wrote an email two hours after taking zolpidem and did not remember that she had done so.

In another case, a woman who had a 45-minute conversation with her boyfriend after taking zolpidem had no memory of it the next day.

"It's behavior that's done when the individual is in a sense both asleep and awake at the same time," University of Pittsburgh sleep medicine specialist Daniel Buysse told the Associated Press.

This is not so different from how alcohol affects people, Buysse said, though it can be hard to tell whether the behavior was really because of the drug.

Ambien also has been linked to many criminal cases, in which defendants claimed they were on the medication and had no memory of the crimes.

For example, Robert Kenneth Stewart, who had admitted to shooting 11 people inside a North Carolina nursing home in 2009, was spared the death penalty after his attorneys argued that Ambien and other drugs placed him in a zombielike state of mind.

In 2014, a Wyoming man who claimed he was on Xanax and Ambien when he sexually abused a 10-year-old girl two years earlier was sentenced to probation.

Psychologists who evaluated Glynn Howard Johnson determined that the medications had affected his memory.

In 2015, a New York man was found guilty of second-degree murder despite claiming that Ambien fueled the rage that led him to strangle and torture his girlfriend.

Barr is not the first celebrity to claim that Ambien affected her behavior. Rapper Eminem, for example, called Ambien a "memory eraser," saying it made him forget "five years" of his life.

In 2009, Radar reported that Rachel Uchitel had told friends she and golf star Tiger Woods used to have "crazy Ambien sex.".

Dictionary.

com trolled Barr on Wednesday, tweeting about the origin of the word "ambien," which it says comes from the word "ambient.

"Ambient does not mean 'prone to making racist comments,' but it does mean 'of the surrounding area or environment,' " the tweet said.

The Surprising Tourism Bump From Hawaii's Spewing Volcano - Duration: 12:48.

Steve Bagwell and his family rose well before dawn on Friday morning to catch a tour van and head up Mauna Kea, a volcano on Hawai`i Island.

Mauna Kea is not that volcano, the one that's erupting and wreaking havoc on parts of Hawai`i Island.

The tallest of Hawai`i's volcanic mountains, Mauna Kea hasn't erupted for 4,500 years—since about 2,482 B.C.

"Driving up, we ran into the marine layer but once you get up above that, it was clear.

The star gazing was great," Bagwell, visiting from Oklahoma, told The Daily Beast.

"Then, it was a great sunrise with high clouds and low clouds and the sun coming between them.".

Bagwell's hoping he got some great photographs.

"I took enough," he said.

It's the kind of story Hawai`i tourism authorities are hoping to hear more of after devastating volcanic eruptions on the southeast side of the island at Kīlauea stalled Hawai`i's tourism business, the state's number one economic driver, right as the busy summer season was expected to kick into gear.

And it's an industry the island critically needs.

Hawai`i reported record totals across numerous categories in the visitor industry in 2017.

This year was on pace to top those numbers.

Total visitor arrivals for the first quarter across the state notched up 9.4 percent to total 2,478,604 visitors.

Now, Ross Birch, executive director of the Island of Hawai`i Visitors Bureau says the island's wholesalers and hotel partners are reporting a slow-down of bookings—apparently due to fears of catastrophic volcanic destruction.

Before departing Oklahoma for Hawai`i, Bagwell had heard about the ash plume rising tens of thousands of feet from the island's youngest volcano.

He'd heard about the new eruptions along the lowest east rift zone that's resulted in dozens of fissures popping up in neighborhoods, estuaries of lava flowing to the sea in three locations, and the evacuation of a couple thousand people from their homes.

"People were like, 'Are you going to cancel your trip?' and I was like, 'No,'" Bagwell said.

Bagwell remembers as a child in the early 1970s watching news of an earlier Kīlauea eruption.

He was fascinated.

"Kīlauea's not like Mt.

Helens [in Washington]," he continued.

"Where it's an explosive eruption and if you're within 50 miles, your life is in danger.

So I was not concerned at all about it.".

But other travelers to Hawai`i are concerned.

Jason Cohn, vice president of sales and marketing for Hawai`i Forest & Trail, the company that escorted Bagwell and his family to the summit of Mauna Kea, said people are calling to ask if the island is covered in noxious gas (it's not), whether the recent earthquakes will stir other volcanoes to life (they're not), if it's safe to travel to Hawai`i (it is), if there are any airport delays (there are not).

Officials with Hawai`i Tourism Authority have been firing off press releases trying to quell fears and stem losses, with similar messaging: Hawai`i is safe.

Hawai`i is fun. You should come here.

It's a classic exercise in crisis management.

In one such prepared statement, Hawai`i's Governor David Ige said, "All of Hawai`i is open for business and welcoming visitors with the hospitality, aloha, warmth and picturesque settings visitors seek in our islands.

This includes Hilo, Pāhoa and the Kona and Kohala coasts on the island of Hawai`i.

The one area that people need to avoid is lower Puna where the eruption is ongoing.".

Even volcanologists have stepped in trying to calm people's fears.

U.S.

Geological Survey scientist Wendy Stovall was quoted in a press release, saying, "I would not hesitate to come to Hawai`i.

If you're coming to enjoy the beaches or eat the delicious food, know it's [the eruption's] happening in a small, eastern edge of the island.".

It's worth noting the eruption site is currently concentrated in 10 square miles in a 4,028-square-mile island that measures 60 miles long and 30 miles wide.

The car drive from Kīlauea to the tourist destination of Kona takes approximately two hours.

Based on the number of press releases addressing it, air quality appears to be the primary concern of would-be visitors.

Stovall pointed out that laze, a natural process when hot lava hits the ocean and emits hydrochloric acid and steam mixed with particles of glass into the air, has been occurring over the past 35 years whenever Kīlauea's lava flow reaches the ocean.

Vog—volcanic smog—has been around that long, too.

Vog has created a visible haze from the release of sulfur dioxide mixed with sunlight, atmospheric oxygen, moisture, and dust.

According to Bagwell, "Somebody on the tour made the comment that the haze is probably worse in Southern California than it is here right now with an active volcano.

He can thank Hawai`i's characteristic northeast trade winds for that.

When they whip up, vog gets blown off the island to the southwest.

But when they slow or switch directions, vog is more present and can be an eye and throat irritant to some people.

Another thing Kīlauea is making clear is a misunderstanding of the state's geography. Outrigger Hotels and Resorts' Chief Marketing Officer Sean Dee reports summer room bookings are soft across the state, an indication that some visitors are even hesitant to travel to other Hawaiian Islands.

The Hawaiian Island archipelago is made up of eight main islands.

The state's government seat of Honolulu and iconic beach of Waikiki is located on O'ahu, 120 miles away from Kīlauea, which sits on the largest of the islands, known as Hawai`i Island.

"Visitors to Hawai`i can be assured that the volcanic activity is having no effect whatsoever on the other islands, O'ahu, Maui, Moloka'i, Lāna'i and Kaua'i," the governor advised.

"Visitors can book their trips comfortable in the knowledge that their vacation experience will provide all the enjoyment they expect when coming to our beautiful islands.".

Volcano watching is big business.

In 2017, just over 2 million people visited Hawai`i Volcanoes National Park.

For some like Bagwell, fascinated by volcanoes, Kīlauea's recent activity draws them like chasers to tornadoes.

Even Cohn admits the pull.

"Me? As a local," he said.

"I wanted to get in a helicopter immediately.".

In a Hawai`i Forest & Trail Facebook pool, 91 percent of 395 people responded they are not changing their vacation plans.

Either their followers are well-educated, or they are more adventurous than most.

Likely, both.

Right now, however, there are no approved land-based lava viewing opportunities.

The summit at Hawai`i Volcanoes National Park is closed.

Access to eruption areas in the lower east rift zone are road-blocked and restricted to residents only, enforced by the National Guard.

The Office of the Mayor Harry Kim recommends the safest place to view the eruptions is "at home on your computer, mobile device, or television.".

However, at night, the glow from the lower east rift zone eruption can be seen 25 miles away from hilltops in Hilo.

And Bagwell said, "From atop Mauna Kea, you can see the glow from the light of the molten lava—it looks like a small sunrise.".

Several licensed tour boat operators are permitted to approach the coastline where lava is meeting the ocean.

(Warning: It's pricey.) And while helicopter viewing is possible, temporary flight restrictions exclude approach from within five nautical miles of the eruption areas.

That's not to say mind-blowing views are not possible.

(Warning: Also pricey.).

As the eruption changes, so, too, will viewing opportunities.

Parkland parents set up PAC to take on NRA - Duration: 3:12.

Parkland parents set up PAC to take on NRA

Parkland parents have created a political action committee directed against politicians who are funded by the National Rifle Association.

The group, which begins taking donations Wednesday, will use its money to try to oust political candidates who both oppose its efforts to amend the laws that permit semi-automatic rifles, or who receive campaign donations from the NRA - or both.

The NRA has consistently maintained it is supporting Second Amendment rights of gun ownership.

State records show Families vs Assault Rifles PAC Inc.

was registered as a nonprofit on May 18 by Jeff Kasky, the father of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High student activist Cameron Kasky, who is a founder of March for Our Lives.

Jeff Kasky said the politicians who refuse to listen to their constituents and instead, in exchange for cash, do the NRAs bidding will be its target.

We are going to go up against NRA candidates in every meaningful race in the country, Kasky told the South Florida Sun Sentinel.

He said financial backers have pledged to donate multiples of the donations the group receives.

By late Tuesday, Kasky said he has a couple dozen supporters, but we havent even started recruiting support yet.

He said those include Stoneman Douglas parents of murdered children and parents like myself, who were lucky to get our kids back that day.

According to its website: FAMSVARPAC was founded.

with a vested interest in keeping our community and our entire country safe from the proliferation of military-style assault weapons - extraordinarily dangerous weapons designed for nothing more than killing the greatest amount of humans in the shortest possible time..

The groups mission is to remove the NRA from our political system and also to make an amendment the National Firearms Act of 1934 to include a ban on assault weapons, bump stocks, and high-capacity magazines, according to its website.

Easy entry into Oregon's legal pot market means huge surplus - Duration: 7:34.

Easy entry into Oregon's legal pot market means huge surplus

PORTLAND, Ore.

— When Oregon lawmakers created the states legal marijuana program, they had one goal in mind above all else: to convince illicit pot growers to leave the black market.

That meant low barriers to entry that also targeted long-standing medical marijuana growers, whose product is not taxed.

As a result, weed production boomed — with a bitter consequence.

Now, marijuana prices here are in freefall, and the craft cannabis farmers who put Oregon on the map decades before broad legalization say they are in peril of losing their now-legal businesses as the market adjusts.

Oregon regulators on Wednesday announced they will stop processing new applications for marijuana licenses in two weeks to address a severe backlog and ask state lawmakers to take up the issue next year.

Experts say the dizzying evolution of Oregons marijuana industry may well be a cautionary tale for California, where a similar regulatory structure could mean an oversupply on a much larger scale.

For the way the program is set up, the state just wants to get as many people in as possible, and they make no bones about it, Hilary Bricken, a Los Angeles-based attorney specializing in marijuana business law, said of California.

Most of these companies will fail as a result of oversaturation..

Oregon has nearly 1 million pounds (453,600 kilograms) of marijuana flower — commonly called bud — in its inventory, a staggering amount for a state with about 4 million people.

Producers told The Associated Press wholesale prices fell more than 50 percent in the past year; a study by the states Office of Economic Analysis found the retail cost of a gram of marijuana fell from $14 in 2015 to $7 in 2017.

The oversupply can be traced largely to state lawmakers and regulators earliest decisions to shape the industry.

They were acutely aware of Oregons entrenched history of providing top-drawer pot to the black market nationwide, as well as a concentration of small farmers who had years of cultivation experience in the legal, but largely unregulated, medical pot program.

Getting those growers into the system was critical if a legitimate industry was to flourish, said Sen.

Ginny Burdick, a Portland Democrat who co-chaired a committee created to implement the voter-approved legalization measure.

Lawmakers decided not to cap licenses; to allow businesses to apply for multiple licenses; and to implement relatively inexpensive licensing fees.

The Oregon Liquor Control Commission, which issues licenses, announced Wednesday it will put aside applications for new licenses received after June 15 until a backlog of pending applications is cleared out.

The decision comes after U.S.

Attorney Billy Williams challenged state officials to address Oregons oversupply problem.

In my view, and frankly in the view of those in the industry that Ive heard from, its a failing of the state for not stepping back and taking a look at where this industry is at following legalization, Williams told the AP in a phone interview.

But those in the industry supported the initial decisions that led to the oversupply, Burdick said.

We really tried to focus on policies that would rein in the medical industry and snuff out the black market as much as possible, Burdick said.

Lawmakers also quickly backtracked on a rule requiring marijuana businesses have a majority ownership by someone with Oregon residency after entrepreneurs complained it was hard to secure startup money.

That change opened the door to out-of-state companies with deep pockets that could begin consolidating the industry.

The state has granted 1,001 producer licenses and has another 950 in process as of last week.

State officials worry if they cut off licensing entirely or turn away those already in the application process, theyll get sued or encourage illegal trade.

Some of the same parameters are taking shape in California, equally known for black-market pot from its Emerald Triangle region.

The rules now in effect there place caps only on certain, medium-sized growing licenses.

In some cases, companies have acquired dozens of growing licenses, which can be operated on the same or adjoining parcels.

The growers association is suing to block those rules, fearing they will open the way for vast farms that will drive out smaller cultivators.

Beau Whitney, senior economist at national cannabis analytics firm New Frontier Data, said hes seeing California prices fall.

In contrast, Washington knew oversupply could draw federal attention and was more conservative about licensing.

As the market matured, its regulators eased growing limits, but the state never experienced an oversupply crisis.

Colorado has no caps on licenses, but strict rules designed to limit oversupply allow the state to curtail a growers farm size based on past crop yields, existing inventory, sales deals and other factors.

In Oregon, cannabis retail chains are emerging to take advantage of the shake-up.

Why is it so hard to cure ALS? - Fernando G. Vieira - Duration: 5:22.

My face says everything #SHINeeIsBack | Haruna's things - Duration: 10:31.

Look. This is the third attempt that i'm making to record this video

because, first, I tought it was 25th but no...

Then I thought it was yesterday, but neither

And, since now, I couldn't start recording so...

The thing is... I mean...

Eh... Yeah. I'm wearring my pijama's pants.

Yeah!

Hello! I'm Haru and I never thought that the day would come that I would have to do this video

Let's see. It's not a bad thing. Okay? It's not a bad thing.

But what I'm refirring is that I never thought I was going to do it

because, for the fact, that I was going to live a comeback of them again.

The last comeback I lived about this group was...

Around 4 years?

So, this comeback...

I was really looking forward to live this comeback

I had a lot of feels. I have a lot of feels of this group.

Eh... It's more, I was waiting this comeback more than the BTS' one

Than Fake Love

Okay, BTS' Fake Love it's really good.

I'll admit it. They made a bop. Sincerely. BTS. With this.

But...

This group was the first kpop group I ever met

That I met and I liked.

It's not the first one I met but I met and I liked at the same time.

Also, this comeback it's really special because it's the first one without one of his members

And yeah. I'm talking about SHINee (it's in the video title but sshhhh...)

One of the biggest kpop groups

This year they made 10 years as a group

And, unfortunately, the last December happened what happened

So, in part--

That's my chair

So, in part, this comeback it's more emotional

But I saw the teasers of the new comeback and look. LOOK. LOOK.

WITH THIS DOESN'T PLAY, EH?

I mean... It's very very very good.

It's not like really emotional as to cry like "Tell me what to do" (yes, I cried with that MV)

It's devided in three parts.

All together, it's three episodes because it's called "The Story of Light"

Ih has the first episode that it's "Good Evening"...?

Eh, yeah.

Eh... The MV that they have released, the comeback, it's called "Good Evening"

This is the first episode.

The second one, I don't know when they are going to relase the video (the day), but it's going to be on july and the third one the same [June]

I don't know how to talk but whatever

So, I have seen the teasers. I have died a little bit too much.

I have seen the photos. I have also died a little bit too much. Because oh my god *laughs nervously*

On one side, we have Key that, truly, why Key? Why have you cut your hair so short?

I'm asking it. I mean, if you had short hair with brown hair, okay.

It looks good on you.

But short hair with blond hair no dear. You look like you were bald.

But well, he's still a savage so we can forgive him.

It what happens when it's a bias wrecker.

Then we have Minho that he remains as beautiful, as tall, as cool as always.

And look, I'm losing with this man too.

HARU CHILL

Then we have Taemin that... Look, he's so beautiful.

For me he'll always be the most beautiful maknae of all *strange cute sounds*

But also he's bias wrecker because he has a side that OH MY GOD someone stop this kiddo. Thank you.

And also he's hair looks really cutie.

Okay, the hair color it's cute, but the style it's bad?

I see it a bit more longer than normal but, well, if Taemin Lucifer's style comes back, I'll be very happy.

And, the last one, we have Onew. Lee Jinki.

My first ult of all kpop history.

Well, my kpop history

And-- [suffering internally]

Look, Onew can't be sexy.

He can't be sexy.

It's scientifically proven. It's impossible.

Eh... He has an amazing voice that... Oh my god Onew, oh my god

You made me fall in love with you.

But we also-- I mean, he can't be sexy.

This man it's too much cute. Look. His smile. Help me.

I'm just going to say that I felt in love with him the first time I saw him in the first frame alone in the MV, Hello.

With that I say everything.

So, returning to Onew's comeback photo

Onew has his hair shorter but it's orange so... I like it.

Onew said that he wanted a bright color for his hair because he says it looks good (bright colors on hair) on him

And yeah dear, e-e-e-everything looks good on you. EVERYTHING.

So, after this, I procced to see the MV

because I has been relased at 11AM and I was busy and no. No no no no no

My baby

How cute. Wow.

Key with red hair: yes.

Trully, he hasn't it red.

It has differents colors.

Woh. Okay okay okay okay okay okay. Calm. Chill.

It has a resembance to Married to the music and View. The concept I mean.

The foxy.

How handsome you're, Onew.

That was on the trailer (teaser), more or less.

Oh my god. How cool!

How coo-- Key!

Remove that color. It doesn't look good that color on you. You look bold :')

Oh my god the dance...

Key please!

I think my face says everything, right?

So, anything more. See you.

Bye bye!

K-Seal Repair in 2007 Pontiac - Duration: 1:01.

listen car repairs get expensive and a lot of you may or may not have the money

for it right now let's face it it's the holidays so you've got to stop to

consider some alternative methods of repair

we had a car in the shop recently a an 07 pontiac g6 with a hundred thousand miles

on it you may have seen the video we put up on Facebook talking about it and it

had coolant leaks and this car had a history of coolant leaks from various

places over the past two years it had radiator issues which was replaced it

had some hose issues which were replaced it had a couple of other things going on

and now it came to the point where this poor college kid driving this car with a

hundred thousand miles on it now it was gonna need some time and cover work in

the front and had some issues in the back corner of the head gasket it had

bigger money than the car was really worth enter K-Seal is a form of

cooling system sealer that really works we poured it in the car the car's been

out on the road now the better part of six maybe eight weeks and it hasn't had

a problem look up more information at kseal.com look for the alternative

Shop Car $800 - Duration: 1:00.

car repairs get expensive and most of us don't have the spare money for them

that's where brands like K-Seal can really be a lifesaver we have a shop car that's

worth about $800 and we found it was using a gallon of coolant every two

weeks a test showed an internal coolant leak probably a head gasket by the

models history repairs would cost about two thousand dollars and two days of

shop time it's easy to do that math but the car is really nice and still safe

and we weren't ready to buy another one from our past experience and our

listeners stories we poured a bottle of K-Seal into the radiator topped off the

coolant and went for a test drive after we got back in the car cooled we checked

the level and added just a tiny bit we continued to drive the car home for

about a week checking coolant daily and by the next

check the level never dropped the leak was sealed that was six months ago and

it's still holding in this case K-Seal turned a coolant leak casualty into a

cash saver find K-Seal at automotive retailers everywhere and get more

No Heat From Heater Core - Duration: 3:21.

let's go now to John and John has a 1973 Plymouth Satellite I mean of course he

does and how many miles on that satellite there John

I have 185,000 miles good for you how you drive that vehicle a lot or no well

now with the winter in previous winters no I keep it in a garage but I will use

it sometimes you have a January thaw sometimes it rains in a winter washes

all that salt power off the road I don't believe in letting them sit too long

that's when I will drive it and go at least oh of 10 to 20 miles good there's

my answer that's a good one and you have a little

heating issue as that as in heating the cabin or as in the engine well let's

call it this way it's both and I have some experience with it okay when I and

it just happened all of a sudden I lost my heat coming out of the bottom floor

you know anyway uh I left the place and I start driving it kept blowing cool and

I couldn't get any heat temperature gauge went up to its maximum usual place

you might say anyway uh and then now I got home and I felt both of the heater

hoses from the water pail yeah to the dashboard you know and then under there

Your heater core. Right so they are both cold so this was a few

weeks ago the weather was warmer like I was out there with the hose and okay I

even have a compressor and I blew through the inlet side of your heater core

most likely your problem back then its plugged the well the core is plugged you know

that for a fact did you do have water flows through the

interesting thing okay your guessing a little bit because I do get okay after

il ran no water through it and I didn't use a lot of pressure you have heat from

my garden hose you have anyone I fill the cooling

system and drove the car then now I got a heat only if I Drive maybe 40 miles an

hour or higher well as soon as I come to a stop its cold here's what's wrong I

know what's wrong back then they used steel cylinder head

gaskets okay most likely you have a cylinder head gasket that is rusted away

and you have combustion chamber gases that is pushing the coolant away from

the heater core that's why you can have heat at a certain point so here's what

you need to do it's an older car and it's worth the money just just as a

trial there's a product out there called a K-Seal K dash seal and it's a cooling

system sealer they make one that's called the K seal ultimate you buy that

read per the directions on it and give that a try

and I'll guarantee you that you'll see that your problem will go away all right

Shop Car $900 - Duration: 2:56.

thanks for calling we see a lot of people that do things that will put off

the inevitable and if you know you're gonna give up on the motor and you're

not gonna fix it maybe try some of those things because you're gonna you're gonna

probably kill it but if your plan is to repair it and get a proper repair done

you're gonna want to get that done as soon as possible before you end up

damaging something else because we've even got one of our sponsors from K seal

that we've used that product on vehicles with some types of leaks and it it has

worked it has worked we put it in one of our shop cars you know and it'll last

it's gone a couple years and we did it in another one here just recently -

because here was our option like a $900 car and it's not a 1,500 where 1,500

bucks put head gaskets in it no it's going right over for scrap we're gonna

crush it but you know what if it would go a little longer and I want to test

and see how well it works pour it in it was like 10 bucks and we'll see what it

does and it worked it was like great you know yes we could have torn it down and

fixed it what is the hundred percent right way to

fix a car you got to determine what's right

is it right to spend $1,500 on a $900 car or is it right to move on get a

better car or if it's the kind of thing where you can fix it affordably it's

worth it at that point but we're two more out of it for 10 down we put the K

seal in it and and I was when I was introduced to that product about five

years ago I was a little curious because I was used to the old stuff that had

silicates in it that would clog up heater cores anywhere that it was

getting air into it like uh like in the cores and overflow tanks they would just

come up with this garbage in there but now they've gone K-Seal uses a ceramic

technology and it seals without it won't clog up even the smallest hole you know

that's in inside of a flowing cooling system it works on that pressure

differential so it seals up and it has actually worked really good so if you've

got a we see Northstar Cadillacs all the time that some of them fix some of them

don't but if they can get by most of them are there

their winter beater cars and they're just trying to get back and forth to

work on you know so hey it's a it's a good option

you
