for next week's show.
So first up is from LANCELOT_YOUTUBE,
What is much better?
The RockShox Lyrik or the Fox 36?
(whistle)
Tell you what that's a pretty good question, Lancelot.
Now over the years,
RockShox and Fox have had their highs and lows.
And what tends to happen is if Fox
is having a really good season,
RockShox doesn't tend to be quite as good and vice versa.
We've also seen this with SRAM and Shimano over the years
but in the moment they're pretty much
(smacks)
even knuckles, there's only one thing to do
fork off!
(intense rock music)
Okay so you've gotta bear in mind
there are a lot of options with both forks.
So they're both available in 27 1/5 and 29 inch models
and in various different specifications.
So, let's have a look at the chart on the screen right now
and we'll start picking them apart
and we'll see which sounds better.
So first up wheel options as we know 27 1/5 and 29 inches
to both of them so that's a check
from both RockShox and Fox.
Travel options,
so that's the amount of wheel travel you have.
So for Rockshox, you've got the RC model
which has 150, 160, 170, and 180 millimeter travel
and it also has 180 millimeters travel in the 29 inch wheel
so that's probably the longest travel.
29 inch wheel single kind of fork there is at the moment
because the Fox version, the FIT4,
that's available in 150, 160, 170, and 180
but only up to 170 millimeters to travel in the 29.
There's also FIT2 which is 160, 170, 180
and there's also Rockshox fork the RCT3
which has the dropdown travel so basically
that drops to 30 millimeters of travel
just at the flick of a switch,
making it climb a little better
but you can at unleash for that downhill potential.
The chassis itself,
Fox is a whopping 36 millimeter so super stiff there.
Whereas Rockshox, a little bit skinner,
they are 35 millimeters.
So far Rockshox have upped the anti
with a 180 mil on the 29 inch version.
The Fox got a slightly bigger chassis
with the 36 millimeters.
Fox have an e-bike model available whereas Rockshox,
yeah that one's tough enough for your bike
so just chuck in another 10 psi.
Okay so what are the spring options?
So on the Fox you've got the FLOAT air spring
which of course is that new e-vault system
so it has extra volume, so it's incredibly supple
on the small hits.
It's tuneable with air volume spaces as well.
On the Rockshox fork you've got the RC2DebonAir spring
so that is the similar sort of concept from Rockshox again,
incredibly supple on those small hits
that require the fork to be very responsive.
So what about damping control?
On the Fox model you've of course
have their famous FIT system.
They've got the grip too and they've also got the FIT4,
so the FIT4 system is essentially their three position dial
on the top so an open mid and a more locked down feeling.
Rockshox also have that equivalent
they call that the RCT3, similar three position dial.
But the FIT GRIP2 is their new damper from Fox
and that thing is phenomenal
but RockShox has the Charger RC2.
Again, both of these dampers they both offer
high and low speed compression
with externally adjustable dials
so you can really, really tune that fork into
the way you want it to feel.
But what about rebound?
Okay, so the Fox has got both
high and low speed external adjustments
whereas RockShox have just got single adjusted,
it takes care of both of those.
And as you seen both of the forks have got a lot going on
so let's take it down to the more shallow options.
So colors,
they both come in black,
Fox comes in orange,
Rockshox comes in boxer red.
Come on, which one of those two do you prefer?
At the moment I've actually got the orange fork
on my SCOTT and I absolutely love it.
But I've got a bit of an affinity for the RockShox boxer,
when it first came out in that boxer red,
that was the fastest looking fork on the market.
So pretty tough call between those two
and let's have a look between the weight of the forks.
Obviously bear in mind, there's a lot of different options,
so I've got the weights for the 27 1/2 inch model
for both forks with both of them
at a 160 millimeters of travel.
So Fox is weighing in at 1,956 grams
and the RockShox's just a little bit more, 2,020 grams.
But how much do they cost?
The RockShox 989 queens so sub 1,000
and the Fox, 1,139.
So you may get a slightly lighter fork with the Fox
but it costs you quite a bit more cash.
Really at the moment, both the RockShox Lyrik
and the Fox 36 is are both incredible,
hard-htting, trial and enduro forks.
They're both phenomenal, I can't emphasize that enough,
if I was gonna pick one right now this second to ride
and this isn't based on which one is better.
I'd pick the RockShox,
probably because I've got the Fox on another bike.
But seriously, they're both phenomenal forks
and I'd love to hear from any of that have either
Fox 36 or Rockshox Lyrik or any inclination of them.
In fact, let us know what you think of them
and why think it's better than the other equivalent.
Genuinely interested to hear.
Okay, so next up is from DD410,
I've got a Fox 36 170 millimeter PERFOMANCE ELITE from 2018.
Is it possible to up its travel to 180?
Yes, nice and simple,
you will need a new air shaft feeding tunnel
to allow it to extend up 180 millimeter travel.
It's a fairly easy thing if you're comfortable
but knowing your way around a bike to fit yourself.
But if not, then book your fork in for service
and get them to change that at the same time
cause they'll end up giving it a complete service
in order to do that.
Your fork will feel incredible,
it'll obviously have a warranty on it
from them fitting that component to it
and you'll have more travel so job done.
Alright next up is from GOTDICED5,
Hey Doddy I have a Moorwood Makalu from 2012,
it has a 1 1/8 headset in it but my fork is tapered
I can't seem to figure out exactly which type
of tapered bottom set I'd need,
can you help me out?
Yeah but I thought a Makalu is a downhill frame,
correct me if I'm wrong,
pretty sure it is I know a few people who have them.
I guess you might have a
long travel single crown fork in there.
Either way, I'm 99.9% sure that
that frame has a 1.5 head tube on it
and that would suggest it's got a tapered fork in there
so you've got a 1.5 bunk up in there
and you've got a reducer cup on the top
to enable the striper of the (mumbles) to pass through.
I'm just gonna throw you to a really handy tool
that I like to use actually,
It's the Cane Creak Headset Finder,
so on screen now, you can just see me typing in
so Moorewood select on that.
Next up I'm selectin Makulu,
year model was 2011 to a 2013, yeah that's the one.
Tapered bottom here we go
and you can start to see
it shows me different option for what you want.
So you could have an external lower cup,
you could have an internal flash fit,
so definitely have a look at that.
And it'll tell you the exact options of headsets you want
but hopefully it's just a standard number
that they tell you.
And you can actually use that number
on other headset brands.
So even though that Cane Creek makes some fantastic headsets
and I completely recommend them,
it doesn't mean you have to stick to them
because those codes do apply
to other brand headsets on the market.
I'm putting the link to that
in the description below this video,
so make sure you have a look
on the Cane Creek Headset Finder,
it's a really, really good tool.
Alright next up is from Nick Rogers,
Hi Doddy, I'm currently running Continental Baron tires.
They've been on my bike approximately, one year.
The tires are made from their Black Chilli Compound.
There's still plenty of tread on them,
but the tires feel less tacky on the trails.
Is this normal?
Or is it just reduced grip due to tire wear? Thanks!
But there's a lot of different factors
that can be taken into tire performance.
So the very first thing is your tire pressure
and tire pressure tends to fluctuate with both
the season or year your riding in.
You're tire pressure can feel different
in winter to what it does in summer.
Of course you're internal calibration
on what your tire pressure is
is gonna be different all year round
unless you're very picky with your tire pressures.
Which leads me onto one of the most important factors
of any tire regardless of compound, is tire pressure.
If you're not running decent pressure
or at least know your tire pressure front and rear
and how they perform,
is really gonna hamper your sort of feeler gauge
on how that tire performs off road.
Now I've said this before with different tires
and of course, the soft compound rubber tire
will always grip more than a hard compound rubber tire.
However, you can definitely e-count more performance
from tire pressure alone, I think.
This is talking about on a budget scaling,
you can eek out more performance
by getting your tire pressures correct
than you can from pick at any tire combination on a bike.
You can run a fairly poor tire,
get the pressure right you can still find grip with it.
So that's really important,
so I'd definitely pay some attention
to how much pressure you're running in the tires.
But in also, taking to account the time
of year you're talking about as well.
Perhaps when you remember you're tires
feeling really tacky before,
it was in warmer conditions.
The rubber in the tires will naturally be
softer, gummier, and stickier in those conditions
than it will in winter conditions.
Which it's gonna feel firmer
and it won't as much sort of slow rebound to it.
It's exactly the same with your 510
to whatever sticky rubber shoes you have in the flap pedals.
In winter, they never feel as grippy
and that's the simple reason why,
the rubber compound will never be quite as soft.
There are some rubber compounds out there designed
to deal with that and of course in the car world
you get winter spec tires.
But it's very different in the bike world,
we don't really have that option
so that is one factor.
But another thing as well is tire wear itself.
So when you get a brand new tire,
the tread pattern is very chiseled
so everything is very defined
and it handles in a very specific way.
Just for example, under braking,
if you're tires not feeling as grippy under braking
let's just say on the back wheel,
the clear reason for that will be under braking
the tire rotates, yeah.
And when the tire locks you're just wearing out
that leading face and you're making it rounded off.
So a rounded edge is never gonna cut in and grip
the same way as a square edge will.
And thing about is, it's the same
on every edge of a tire tread.
Every tire block, every part of that tire,
whether it's the shoulders
or the sort of the transitional part of the tire,
as soon as they wear the performance
will get hindered slightly.
Which is why all the top racers
run really fresh tires for their race runs
cause they need that actual performance of a box fresh tire.
Now of course that's very different for you and me,
we don't need that same performance.
To me you can have that,
you can spend a little money in the world if you choose to
but it's a bit wasteful
cause you don't need to spend that much money.
But it's something you can do to improve that feeling
is obviously your rear tire is gonna wear faster in general
than your front tire.
A bit of skidding's gonna do that
but there's more body weight
on the rear part of your bike when you're riding,
which is gonna wear that tire more than the front.
So what you wanna do is at that point
then flip your tires around.
Get a fresh one on the front
so your tire that's been wearing slower on the front
is still gonna be a lot fresher than that rear one.
Chuck it on the back and get a freshy for up front,
and if you want that old one that's wearing out
for the back that you've taken off,
you can shave that down into a bit of the semi-slick
and you can use that in the summer months.
Alright, now last question for this week
is from BOBBY HEMPEL1.
Another question, what are good lock on grips
for someone with big hands,
my grips aren't comfortable as they're simply too skinny.
Right, there's loads available.
So we're sponsored by Ergon
that they do those in different thicknesses
to shoot different hands,
I actually like the GD1.
I run those on both thick and thin from running a bike park,
I run the thick size because they support
my hand a bit better.
In the winter I always run the thin grips
because I'm wearing bigger gloves
and it just makes them feel a bit more nicer.
But there's also a whole bunch of other brands available
so on screen right now,
you will see there's ODI.
They make a group for the rogue,
you need some massive hands for that grip
it's absolutely huge.
There's also Lizard Skins,
they make a grip called the Northshore
and they various other grips in different diameters.
DMR make their Death Grip
and next up you wanna look at their mushroom profile grip.
So pretty much any handlebar grip with a mushroom profile,
regardless of the thickness of the grip,
they're super, super forgiving on you hands.
So they're definitely worth a look as well.
Also on a biker bike we're just about to give away
you'll see that there are some Fabric mushroom grips
on there and they're actually pretty fatter
in a way in the inner part of it
actually conforms to the shape of the middle of your hands
so that's actually really comfortable as well.
So I'm sure that one eyes grips will suit you.
But bear in mind this is like a saddle,
it's a personal preference thing
so what I say I like might be completely different for you.
So make sure you give them a bit of a try
a bit of a squeeze in the bike shop before you buy them,
that's the way to do it.
So good, there's another weekly

Documenting My Life Purpose (My First Vlog) - Duration: 7:27.I'm starting a vlog.
well not just any vlog. I don't even really like to call it
a vlog but it's more like me making daily content on something that I'm
passionate about living your life purpose while also documenting mine you
see that's actually the thing that I am obsessed with. I think about that all the
time how can I get my message out to as many people as possible while also
living my own true life purpose while also being authentic to myself and I
totally wish that I had started doing this before when I left the United
States. actually I'll tell you my story real quick come with me
so it all started back in February 2018 when I went to Peru and I took Ayahuasca
for the first time so this was me right here
in February of 2018 with Phil. say hi to Phil. Phil was really cool. and after I
did Ayahuasca, Ayahuasca told me hey you need to spread the message of love and
healing on this planet that's your purpose that's what you must do so then
I was like all right let me start doing that mother Ayahuasca told me I was a
dragon here to protect planet Earth I'm not kidding this is young Gabriel this
is me as an awkward teenager here's some of my friends from that time say hi to
Noel and Bobby. this was me in high school this is some of my closest
friends so far I've been able to travel all over the world pretty lucky to do
that pretty grateful to do that and I really really really should have
documented the journey for example this is me cracking a whip that was a fail
though anyway it hit me one day that my purpose in this life was to literally
help you find your life purpose and live your life purpose while also documenting
mine and at the same time also talking about consciousness raising
consciousness on this planet and getting people to vibrate higher and I
absolutely wish that I had started vlogging sooner to actually show you my
journey from June of 2018 till now because some really really cool stuff is
how along the way and I'm gonna make sure
that this time I don't mess that up or at least try not to in February of 2018
like I'd mentioned I went to Peru I took Ayahuasca. Ayahuasca said that I was a
dragon she said that I'm here to protect inspire and talk about love and healing
so she said hey I want you to inspire people talk about love and healing talk
about life purpose so since then I have thought to myself how exactly am I going
to do that and each time I got a little bit closer
and closer and closer and closer to figuring that out until it just hit me
one day which was actually ironically enough yesterday and then I went from
the u.s. all the way to Europe so from Europe more specifically Austria
I went to Bali and Ambala I discovered that it was a ley line and
basically a ley line is an energy point on earth and then I kind of went into
this whole thing about ley lines shock points ancient sites and I channeled the
message go to all the ley lines and all the chakra points on earth so then after
that I went to Australia I don't know if I can fit that but more specifically I
went to uluru or what's called Ayers Rock so I went from Austria Australia
uluru back to Austria back to Austria I know it's a really long complicated
timeline but I went back to Austria and now the next step of the journey is
going to Romania and like I totally realized that I
actually never talked about the leylines the chakra points ancient sites all over
the world and here is the quick little gist of it so as I said before I am a
channel I am a channel for the divine the universe talks to me sends messages
to me so I'm here as a light worker to now go out there into the world go to
ancient sites go to go everywhere go to ancient sites and glory chakra points go
to ley lines and talk about these places make prayers heal the energy and I'm
gonna need your help channeling that energy and sending that loving energy
and healing to these places but every single day I'm going to be talking about
life purpose. your life purpose. how you can find it. how you can live it. how you can
make it sustainable for you because living your life purpose sometimes looks
very disorganized very chaotic at first but when you actually start living it
and you start doing it you can connect the dots looking back everyone has a
purpose everyone has a story and I'm here to help you find that story to live
that story to become and be that story you already came into this world knowing
that you would do something knowing that you are special and I'm here to help you
rediscover that to remember what that reason was I may not necessarily change
the world to create an invention that's actually going to change the world but I
may actually just inspire you to do that so if I can do my job then hopefully you
can find the thing that you come along with that's all. outro

is because they know that with or
without the company of others they'd be
fine either way

alone are more likely to be uninterested
in small talk or meaningless
conversation and prefer people who match

OLYMPUS MOUNT VLOG - Duration: 7:44.Good morning!
It was September but we continue our excursions.
Τoday we will go to Olympus mount.
We will go up to 2,100 meters.
Maybe we'll go a little higher and we'll spend the night at "Spilios Agapitos" refuge.
We are in the area called "Prionia".
Here is the European Route "E4" and you can find a restaurant to relax before or after your hike.
Before you start your hike, you must check the things you have with you.
Water, food and waterproof you should have them on the front of your handbag because you will surely need it.
The alley from the area called "Prionia" to the "Spilios Agapitos" shelter is the most visited path of Olympus mountain.
For this route an average climber needs about 3 hours.
The route is well preserved, with many trees and the landscape special.
Olympus is the highest mountain in Greece at an altitude of 2.918 meters.
It has 52 peaks and the highests of them are "Mytikas" and "Skolio".
In this mountain you can find 7 refuges, most of which are open only in spring and summer.
In the middle of the route there is a fount and a kiosk with bench for relaxing.
Olympus gathers 25% of the Greek flora spread over slopes, canyons, picturesque villages and meadows.
With all these features became the first greek national park.
In Olympus mount, it's possible to meet the wild goat, known as the antelope of Europe.
After about 3 hours of walking and suffering we arrived at the "Spilios Agapitos" refuge in altitude of 2,100 meters.
The refuge A' known as "Spilios Agapitos" is located at a point called "balcony" in altitude of 2,100 meters
and it belongs to the Hellenic Federation of Mountaineering & Climbing.
It was founded in 1930
and was the first Greek refuge.
It's name was given to honor the man who designed the first building of the refuge.
Over time the shelter has expanded and improved and now has 110 sleeping places divided into 3 parts:
the central part, the exterior part and the section with the name "Kostas Zolotas"(who was the driver of Olympus).
Suddenly it started to wet and my only choice was to stay inside the shelter.
finally this wasn't a bad idea..( because there were a lot of people and we were having fun)
The next morning I got up early and enjoyed the sunrise,
which it was spectacular because here you can see the sun over the clouds,
a picture we can't see from the city.
Then I got my coffee, which gave me energy for the rest of the day.
As I walked, I saw something special..
The 12 gods lived in the gorges or in the folds of Olympus mountain as Homer said,
which were their palaces.
The Pantheon, which it has the name "Mytikas" now, was their meeting point
and the throne of Zeus known as "Crown", where from there he was throwing his thunderbolts.
Unfortunately my time for this excursion was limited, so I did not get to the summit of Olympus mount.
But I think that for the first time it was good and tthis point that i went.
However, I want to come again and then I will reach to the highest point in Greece.
Currently..
I greet you!

Janet Holt 'killed a man after he raped her': read her confession - Duration: 22:38.Janet Holt has just finished describing how she killed a man, in his kitchen, at close range, with his own shotgun
It's a less grisly account than you might imagine. She lifted the gun, because it was there, and fumbled at first
'Even though I'd worked on a farm I'd not used a gun. I found them frightening, because they were so loud
I had no desire to use one. I've been asked since what did I intend to do? I don't think I intended to do anything
'The gun was there, and I'd reached a point of terror where it just turned into complete numbness
It was an automatic reaction to pick it up and use it.' Her recall of the technicalities is pretty vivid
'I remember pointing it and pulling the trigger once, and nothing happened.'I know guns have safety things on them, but I've no knowledge of how they work or where they are or anything, but I can remember pushing a little lever type thing that was on top of the gun where your thumb would go
'I remember pushing that forward and trying the trigger and, the second time, it fired
' Her victim — farmer Fred Handford, a man she had known and worked with for 20 years and whom she now claims raped her — slumped to the ground, dead
Afterwards, Janet says she went outside and, numb, stood in the yard 'for maybe half an hour', then calmly went and fetched a shovel, dug a grave, manoeuvred Fred into a wheelbarrow with the aid of a farming tool ('I didn't touch him; I couldn't'), and tipped him in
She remembers pushing one of his arms down. 'It would have taken me several hours,' she says
'I mean I was stronger and fitter than I am now, but even now if I went to dig a hole that size it would take me three, four hours
Maybe. But that's what I did, yeah.'What about the blood, and the mess, back in the kitchen, I ask? It must have required one hell of a clean-up operation
'It didn't,' she insists. 'There wasn't mess, and there is a reason for that, which I did tell the police about
The cartridge in the gun wasn't lead shot, because Fred used to replace this with split corn
'You'd need an expert to explain what happens if you blast someone with split corn rather than lead shot, but all I know is that I did shoot him and there was no explosion, or blood, or however people like to put it
He just collapsed on the floor. No gore, no cleaning up and that was that.'What happened next? Well, nothing, according to Janet
. . Suicide was the main suspect, and Fred did have money worries. It would be 30 years before Janet told anyone what she had done
She went on to live her life on the farm, strangely — she and Fred were business partners, and after he died she bought the farm from his daughter
She blanked out the whole horrific episode. It only came back to her when she underwent a regressive therapy session with a psychologist, one that went on for five hours and ended up with an ambulance being called, such was her distress
The reason she is talking to me as a free woman today, rather than from behind bars, however, is that no-one who has power to effect a prosecution believes Janet
The police did investigate her lurid claims. She was quizzed for three days before officers began digging up land around Ball Beard Farm on the edge of New Mills in Derbyshire
No body was ever found. Janet puts this down to work that was later done on the land to lay pipelines which may have disturbed the remains
And, every avid sleuth knows, the absence of a body makes it very difficult to confirm that a murder has taken place
Janet was dismissed as either a fantasist, or a victim of dubious psychiatric practice
But still the story niggled. Last week, it took another bizarre turn when ITV investigated again in a new documentary
Did it offer conclusive proof one way or the other? No. It muddied the waters further, by having Janet interviewed by one of the top psychologists in Britain, Jamie Hacker Hughes, who is a former president of the British Psychological Society
His conclusion?Although Janet's memory of the 'murder' was vague; her recall of two rapes that she claims preceded it were 'compelling' leading him to conclude that something did, actually, happen
Where does that leave us? Well, slap bang in the middle of one of the most baffling murder mysteries of all time, it seems
The easiest answer is that Janet Holt is making it up. She is officially a convicted fraudster, after all
In September, 1997, she served a 21-month prison sentence after stealing thousands of pounds from the solicitor's practice where she worked
One police source told us this week: 'Janet Holt may well believe the memories she's uncovered are real
Other people may be taken in by her. But the only thing we've ever been able to prove is that she's a fraudster, motivated only by greed
'Janet says her previous criminal activity has coloured the police view. 'I think they have convinced themselves that my memory is false
I think the police have found it easier to see me as a sensation seeker.'What could possibly motivate a woman to walk into a police station and confess to a murder she didn't do, though? In conversation Janet seems perfectly sane
'Did I want to be prosecuted? No! Did I want to have to go to court? No! The possibility that I might end up being charged and go to prison is horrendous, but once these memories came back to me, I knew it was out there, that there was always the chance of Fred's body being found
'If next year, for instance, United Utilities (who laid pipelines over the farmland) go back to do some routine work on a pipe, and they find some remains, then it will all kick off again
That could happen next week, next year, in four years. It's in the corner of the room all the time
'The most curious thing about her demeanour, though, is that this is not a woman racked with guilt
'He was a horrible man,' she insists. 'I mean, I started going up to the farm when I was 14
This happened 12 years later. Nowadays, you would call that grooming, wouldn't you?' Certainly, there is evidence that Fred was a violent man
In the documentary, his daughter Lynette Chapman confirmed that he beat his wife, that she 'once had to defend herself against her father with a knife'
Did Fred deserve to die, though, I ask Janet? 'I think I would answer that by saying "did I deserve to be raped?"' she says
'I can't feel regret for what I did, without thinking about what he did.'At one point I say some people think she is unhinged
'Maybe I am!' she says. 'Well, I don't think I am, but I would ask the question "why do you think I am?"
And I would go back to the events of 1976. As regards what has happened to me, what I know happened to me, I think I've come out of it fairly well, really
'This extraordinary story began when the teenage Janet started stabling her pony at Fred's farm, and helping out with chores
When she left school, she got an office job but continued to work up at the farm
The two alleged rapes happened on the same day, May 14, 1976, when she was 26. She says Fred simply pushed her to the ground in a hay barn and she was so shocked and terrified she couldn't fight him off
It is a convincing account: she remembers focusing on a spider crawling on the wall
After the second rape, in the kitchen, Fred suggested they should get married. 'I was horrified,' she says
'That was not how I saw him.'Although she did not tell anyone ('I was too petrified'), she resolved to leave the farm and stabled her pony elsewhere
She still had to return to feed the animals, though, and it was then that she encountered Fred in that same kitchen
It was the fear that she was going to be raped for third time, she says, that forced her into lifting that gun
Surely the gun holds the key to what happened? Janet insists the gun was removed by police when Fred went missing, and later returned to his daughter
'People have tried to find out whether they examined it, what they found. I'd like to know myself
If they'd examined and didn't find maize, but ordinary shot cartridges, then it would blow wide open what I am saying
But no-one has given me that evidence.'One of the main police theories was that Janet was being motivated by money
Conveniently, her 'memories' only surfaced when she was writing an autobiography
It started out as a 'type of James Herriot thing, a funny book about the animals and that', she says
She engaged a local ghost writer, Helen Parker, to help her.It was Helen who became intrigued about Fred's disappearance and suggested the hypnosis
The police believed Janet was simply after a money-spinning ending to her book. 'One officer asked me how many millions we would make from it
I just laughed.'The figures involved certainly don't suggest Janet was ever going to become rich on the back of this
'Over the first eight months we probably got £1,000, between us. I gave my £500 to a donkey sanctuary
' In total, she says they made no more than £2,000.The book, though, doesn't help establish anything
Throughout names are changed, which makes it well-nigh impossible for details to be independently verified
Take this five-hour session with a psychologist that ended up with an ambulance being called
Regression therapy involves being hypnotised to 'recover' what therapists believe are subconscious memories of past lives
It's controversial and many believe it can do more harm than good.Janet's was supposed to be a one-hour appointment
Would any professional really allow a woman in clear distress to continue for this long? Who is the psychologist anyway? Janet confirms the name in the book is false
'We're not able to use her real name.' Why not?'Helen decided that we can't use someone's name unless they've actually agreed to it
But the police at the time must have spoken to her. It would be interesting for me to know what was said
' So far so bizarre. There is another theory — that Janet, who worked in a solicitor's office, dealing with matters of probate — killed Fred to get her hands on his farm
This is what Fred's daughter Lynette believes. She thinks that Janet did kill her father, but for monetary reasons
'Who actually benefited the most from it all? And there's only one person … I think that's Miss Janet Holt,' she told the documentary
Janet had certainly invested money in the business — only a few hundred pounds though — and there was an agreement in place about shared business interests
They had a joint account. It has been claimed that another letter had been lodged, giving Janet the farm in the event of Fred's death, but because it was never signed, it was nul and void
Not true, she insists. 'He had talked of making a will but I know he hadn't. I knew that if he died, the farm would not be mine
It would go to his daughter.'In 1976, I had a boyfriend. He had a farm, a big one, a nice farm
If I'd wanted a farm of my own, that was the perfect answer.'In the event, Janet ran the farm for five years following Fred's disappearance ('at my own cost, I must point out
It was a nightmare. They froze our joint bank account because Fred was officially missing'), then it passed to Fred's daughter who in turn (surreally) sold it back to Janet
She sold up herself in 2010, although she is now living on another farm, in nearby Matlock
So is she a feminist heroine, a fraud, or a fruitcake? Perhaps it is only Fred — or Fred's body — that can answer that one
She insists it is out there.'I know I buried him, and I know where. And if it has been disturbed since then — as I think it must have been when they laid the pipelines — then the remains, bones, now, will still be there, somewhere, because they never removed that soil, they just dispersed it
' Am I A Murderer? Is now available to view via ITV hub.

America ReFramed | Personal Statement | 5 Questions About the College Application Process - Duration: 2:36.KAROLINE: If I could summarize the college process in one word
it would definitely be complex.
ENOCH: Bittersweet, definitely bittersweet.
KAROLINE: I would change the whole college applying system.
ENOCH: I think every student in America
should not have to go through the stress of
finding these crazy forms...
like 1099's and like tax forms and all this stuff.
KAROLINE: They make it so complicated and neverending
and it's kind of hard for us to understand things like that
when most of us don't even know how to file our own taxes.
ENOCH: The easiest part...
Is there an easy part?
I'm trying to...
KAROLINE: The easiest part of the process for me
was getting the colleges that I wanted to apply to.
ENOCH: Probably talking to my teachers about
the letters of recommendation.
ENOCH: I think...
No, no, no... I know
that the personal statement is the most important part
of the college process.
KAROLINE: It really hurts me to say this, but I feel like
your GPA and your test scores are the two most important
things for colleges.
ENOCH: I consider the personal statement to be like...
It's like your way of informing them who you are.
KAROLINE: Your GPA is the first thing that people look at.
Your grades are the first thing that admissions be looking at.
ENOCH: Your personal statement is like art
because art is a form of expression,
and it's like you slide that little,
beautiful work of art that you've created, right?
And they're like, "Wow, this person sees the world like this?"
Yo.
KAROLINE: I would definitely advise students
not to leave things for the last minute.
ENOCH: I wish that I applied to more schools.
And I also wished that I visited more schools.
KAROLINE: Do not let your world feel shattered
when you don't get accepted into the school that you really
want to go to.
I feel like it's a growing experience,
and it does not matter where you end up.
Make a home out of everywhere you go.
ENOCH: Just do things that you're just not comfortable with
because... life is too short.
Okay? And...
You don't want to go around 80-years-old like,
"Dang, I wish I played chess when I was younger."
Just do things. This world has so many things to offer
and why not just take everything in.
