Youtube daily report Oct 3 2018

Meghan Markle's dog is taking center stage once more.  During Meghan and Prince Harry's Wednesday visit to the Survivors' Network, a Brighton-based group for survivors of sexual abuse visited during their busy day in Sussex, they were gifted with a unique and thoughtful drawing featuring the Duchess of Sussex's rescue pup

When meeting director Jay Breslaw presented the framed photo, he told them, "We had a local artist do an intersectional feminist print of your dog

"  Harry — clearly thinking he was referring to the new furry addition into their family at the end of August — laughed and said, "No one's even seen our dog!"  He quickly realized the star of the art piece was Guy, the beagle Meghan rescued in 2015 from Ontario's A Dog's Dream Rescue who made the move with her across the pond as she began her royal life

"How lovely!" Meghan said as she examined the drawing. "Look at the little freckles on his face!"  The picture shows the dog with the question, "Who's a good boy?"  Guy replies, "A boy who makes every effort to dismantle the patriarchy (whilst keeping in mind intersections with other forms of oppression)

"  The couple were also given badges by the artist, Henry James Garrett, that read, "You have a superpower and it's called empathy

"  Meghan said, "I love that! This is really special – thank you."  During the meeting the couple met both male and female survivors of sexual abuse as well as volunteers from the Survivors' Network and Mankind, a group for men

They included Patrick Sandford, 66, a theater director who lives in north London and has written a play, Groomed, about his own experiences

"I was abused as a child in a state primary school in Kent by my teacher for a year

I didn't talk about it at the time, I found it confusing, bewildering. It was horrible," he shared

"I moved to another school after a year and was able to bury it. But the psychological effects were lasting

I felt very bad. My self esteem was very low."  It wasn't until Sandford was in his 50s that he chose to write about it

"I had to talk about it. So I wrote a play," he said about Groomed, which is being filmed after it was performed in London and at the Brighton Festival, where it won three prizes

Meghan told him it was "very brave" of him to tell his story, which in turn helps other people

"That in itself becomes so powerful."  "A lot of people suffer individually," Harry added

"But once you come to terms with it yourself, you find the right support, then there is no one telling, you need to help everyone else, there is this something inside you which says, 'I have this experience, I want to make sure no-one else goes through it

' There is always recovery. It just depends on whether you find the right place to go and the right people to speak to

"  Sandford told reporters after meeting the royal couple, "The mere fact that they are in the room, taking the subject seriously, is such an extraordinary public statement of the importance of the work

"  "We talked about the fact that men are abused as well as women. Men suffer the same psychological consequences, and difficulties in their lives, and need to make the effort to recover

In that recovery the support of these organisations is absolutely invaluable," he added

"I was very touched that Meghan congratulated us on the work of doing the play. And Harry's last words were 'Good luck with the film,' You cannot ask for more than that

"  Breslaw said there was huge demand for their services, with 300 people on the waiting list for counseling

"For us to have this level of exposure is absolutely essential."

Democratic Congressman Unveils Plan To Get Trump's Tax Returns - Duration: 2:00.

the house ways and means

committee who has been talking

about subpoenas and what

Democrats might do if they win

the election.

Your plan, sir.

>> The most important point is

the one you made that Donald

Trump is a self-made myth.

Not a self-made man.

He is phony through and through.

We would know a lot more about

it had his little Republican

enablers in congress not been

protecting him and covering up

his tax returns so we would have

the information from him that

every prior president for many

years, Republican and Democrat

candidate alike disclosed to the

public.

Last Valentine's day, 2017, I

filed the first motion concerned

about the Russian connection and

how much Russian money might

have been laundered in past

trump deals.

He has some 564 entities that

he's involved with in addition

to his personal returns.

I've filed a number of other,

seven in all, as recently as

last month.

The Republicans have covered up

and blocked every one because

they don't want to look under

that rock and see what they

might see.

In January, if the American

people support a new congress

that will engage in oversight,

not just overlook, then we don't

even need a subpoena.

Under a law that dates back

decades, the ways and means

chairman can simply request from

the treasury department the

trump returns and he, I believe,

will do that, and will get the

returns on those 500 plus

entities.

All the working papers as well

to understand the returns.

Put a staff of cpas to work

looking and digging into those

returns.

Ultimately our committee can

decide to disclose all or a

portion of them.

See an Online Psychotherapist for Help with Anxiety and Depression - Duration: 3:40.

Welcome.

My name is Peter Strong and I'm a professional online psychotherapist.

If you'd like to see an online psychotherapist for help with anxiety depression or addiction

or other emotional problems, then I encourage you to go to my website and learn more about

the online psychotherapy process that I offer via Skype.

I specialize in Mindfulness Therapy which I offer online via Skype for the treatment

of anxiety and depression without having to resort to using medications.

Medications may have their place but it's important to understand that medications will

not change the underlying psychological process that causes your anxiety or depression.

For that you need some form of psychotherapy or other training that will give you the tools

to work with your mind, with your emotions and with your habitual thought patterns, and

also for resolving emotional trauma.

Medications cannot do that for you.

If you'd like to learn more about Mindfulness Therapy for working with the mind then do

please go to my website and feel free to email me if you have any questions.

Working with an online psychotherapist is, of course, very convenient, but it can also

be very, very effective indeed, especially if you are using an approach like Mindfulness

Therapy or CBT or other process-oriented psychotherapy that gives you ways of working with your mind,

practical methods that you can apply yourself.

This is much more effective in the long run than any treatment based approach, because

treatment based approaches essentially make you a victim and don't really teach you how

to manage your emotions yourself.

So we want a good form of psychotherapy which is not a treatment based approach but one

that actually gives you practical tools, and in my opinion there is nothing more effective

than Mindfulness Therapy or mindfulness based cognitive behavioral therapy for doing just

that.

So during sessions I will teach you how to use mindfulness effectively to work with your

emotions, to learn how to promote their healing, and how to work with thoughts, as well, so

that you can break that habit of becoming overwhelmed by reactive emotional thinking.

So if you would like to learn more please go to my website and contact me and then we

can schedule some online psychotherapy sessions via Skype.

So if you'd like to see an online psychotherapist for help with anxiety depression or addiction

or any other emotional problem please reach out to me through my website, and let's get

started.

Thank you.

VLOG #141 Young CEO Nathan is still staring at the ceiling. It's 3 am. - Duration: 3:06.

Last night at 3 o'clock...

Nathan was still staring at the ceiling.

And Nathan is CEO of a start-up.

He is young.

His business does extremely well.

The second round of financing is coming into view.

But there are some issues that keep Nathan awake at night.

He calls it, in Dutch, dimdam nachten.

Nights in which he keeps on endlessly dim damming.

Dimdammen. Worrying. Doubting.

Re-thinking decisions already made.

Reaching to other conclusions. And hesitating again.

It is quite difficult to make decisions every day...

or to reverse a decision...

which in itself is already a decision.

Even the smallest decisions have consequences.

And you know that too.

Life isn't a rosegarden.

A decision is sometimes also...

simply act quickly and ad hoc.

You then have to do something based on an acute out-of-control situation.

Break a contract. Fire someone. Keep information for yourself.

Stop a production line. Direct. Now.

You do that kind of matters on your gut feeling. Alone, by yourself.

Under that feeling, under that intuition, there is a foundation of experience.

Do you possess such skills, as a young CEO?

Maybe. If you started business at twelve.

I know people like that.

But a CEO like Nathan,

who manages his company well,

is primarily focused on the 'hard business'.

Targets. Sales diagrams.

"Where do we want to be next quarter."

Fine. Fully understandable.

But your real value as CEO...

becomes clear during out-of-the-box moments.

You tear up that contract.

You walk away from that meeting.

"Are they completely bonkers?"

You don't deliver anything.

At such moments...

and after those dimdam nights...

you need a sparring partner.

I am that backup for you.

If you want to.

I can also link you to a fellow CEO.

If you want to.

You decide. Call me for 15 minutes.

If you want to. No bullshit.

I am Hans Ruinemans, boardroom monk.

May you be truly happy.

Book Bragging Challenge with Megan Tennant - Round 1 and 2 - Duration: 7:09.

Hey all and welcome to my vlog! I'm here with Megan Tennant

She is the author of Aletheia and we got tagged in the One Minute Book Brag Challenge by Jenna Moreci

M: Woo! E: Woo!

E: Okay, so there's gonna be multiple rounds and we're gonna alternate them on our channels

E: We have one minute each to answer as many questions as we can which are in this nice little bowl I made. (laughs)

E: Are you ready? M: I am not ready, but we're gonna do it

E: Okay. I have the first one

E: I'll read out the category and then the question. M: Okay

E: Start! Characters - who is your favorite character to write?

M: To write? Arson, because he's- he's crazy and he's insane and he says

M: things and does things that I wish I had the guts to do, but I don't, and- (laughing)

M: I never know what he's gonna do even though I'm writing him. So he's always fun.

E: Okay. Another character - Who's your favorite side character?

M: Favorite side character? (laughs) Is also Arson, I guess. He's kind of a side character in Aletheia.

M: In Red River he's actually a main character. So that wouldn't really apply to that one (laughs)

E: Okay. Author - When did you start writing?

M: kind of started writing when I was six and then

M: I stopped and then I started again and then I stopped and started. I started seriously writing three years ago

E: Author - What is your writer fuel of choice?

M: Uh... (laughs)

M: I wrote that question and I'm blanking. Uh - monster energy drink, peach tea preferably

E: Book basics - How many chapters is your book? M: Fifty solid. Exactly.

M: and I was very surprised and happy with that number E: Alright, and time!

M: Oh no! That was a lot less than I thought I was gonna get

E: (counting paper slips) You got 5! (laughs) M: Ok, could've been worse

M: Could've been worse. I rambled too much about Arson. No! (laughs)

E: Your first one did take up half of your minute (laughs) M: (laughs)

M: Arson's too interesting, I can't not talk about him

M: Cool. So now let's see if you can beat me. And go! Work in progress - What's the intended audience age?

E: Uh, definitely adult. It's contemporary romance and there are sexy times in it (laughs)

M: (laughs) sounds very adult

M: Uh, bonus question - What's something you know way too much because of writing research?

E: Oh God. Um, I know that wicker was found in the tombs of Egyptian pharaohs

M: (laughs) Fancy. Characters - Who is your favorite villain?

E: Probably Zeus. He's the only villain that I've written in my first two. He's terrifying.

M: He's a pretty good villain! (laughs)

M: Author - What's your favorite color?

E: Um, green and blue M: Book basics - What inspired the book?

M: Oh, that's big one E: It was actually a university assignment

E: We had to interview someone from mythology and I picked Hera because I was mad how everyone was mean to her in the myths (both laughing)

M: It's a pretty good inspiration. Another book basics - What's the target audience?

E: They're also adult. There's some not nice circumstances and - oh, oh, I ran out of time!

M: Aaah! E: How many did I get?

M: (laughs) You beat me but just barely. You got six! E: Yay!

M: Nooo! (laughs)

M: Beat me by one! I should have read super slow, but that would have been cheating (laughs)

E: That would be mean! M: (laughs)

M: Man you got the the hard one too -the inspired by- good answer on that.

E: Do we want to do like two...

E: rounds per channel since they're really short? M: Yeah, I think so. So, let's see if I can win this one

E: Okay. Going in for round two! I got my bowl!

M: I'm ready now! (laughs) I'm not actually E: I got a blank sheet of paper.

M: Oh you did it, too (laughs)

M: I'm just waiting to open one and have it be blank

M: I think I caught all of them before I folded it, but we'll see about that

E: Oh! Found another one (laughs) M: (laughs)

E: Okay, I think I'm good. Ready! Author - What is the best writing advice you've ever received?

M: Ah! Uh, um... that's hard! Outline! Outlining is important! Always outline. (laughs)

E: Ok. Work in progress - What's the genre? M: Dystopian post-apocalyptic

E: Author - Do you have any pets? M: Yes, two cats and one dog

E: Bonus - Would you want to live in the world of your book? M: No, no - well...

M: No, probably not cuz it's a post-apocalyptic dystopia, and there's a disease and eeeeeh

M: not great living conditions (laughs)

E: Book basics - Does the book have single POV or multiple?

M: single POV

E: Characters - Who's your least favorite character least favorite character?

M: Least favorite character? Oh no! Uh...uh. Oh no! No! I don't like this one!

M: This one's hard! Um...um...uh...Maddox!

M: Maddox was hard to write and I don't really like him because he's kind of a villain

M: but kind of not so yeah, him. E: Time! (laughs)

M: (laughs) Oh! I was doing so good until that last one. No!

E: Okay, you got (counting slips of paper) six!

M: Yes! One more than last time. Got a little bit better there

E: I like how you were just on the ball for each one (laughs)

M: (laughs)

M: It's like fast, fast, fast, and then just stuck

M: Well, let's see if you can beat that and maybe we'll switch this time and you'll get five

E: Then we'll be tied forever (both laugh)

E: Okay, tell me when. M: Alright. Uh, now!

M: Book basics - How does the setting compare to book 1?

E: Book 2 is more on Mount Olympus and Book 1 is mostly in the underworld. So

E: So, very, very different settings. M: Work in progress - Is it part of a series?

E: Yes, it's gonna be the first in a four book series M: Oh fancy! Book basics - What is the genre?

E: Contemporary romance of the WIP and historical fantasy for these ones

M: I did not mix these very well! E: Slowing me down, Megan! (laughs)

M: Author - When did you start writing?

E: Whenever they started making us do creative writing M: (laughs)

E: I started the book when I was in like my mid-twenties M: good answer

M: Characters - What are three facts about your main character?

E: Oh God, uh, she is the Goddess of Marriage. She really, really likes animals and she has three moms, technically four.

M: (choosing a question) That is a blank piece of paper E: (laughs)

M: Book basics - number of books in the series?

E: 2 and 4...for the WIP

E: Time's up. M: Oh No!. (counting paper slips) NO! I don't like this!

E: How many did I get? M: You got six!

E: Yay! M: We tied on that one

M: So technically you're in the lead

E: We have more rounds to go so that's okay. M: That is okay. No! but you're gonna win

M: Okay, so I should probably write down our scores before I forget

E: Yes, I have this little paper pile

M: I'm gonna write it on a tiny scrap of paper here. Round one

M: I had FIVE and you had six. Round two - we both got six. So we're tied

M: So you're winning and then we go over to my channel and see who wins.

E: Thank you guys so much for watching

E: I will put the link down to Megan's video in the description below as well as her channel and

E: yeah, I'll see you guys next week with another video

E: Bye! M: Bye!

Arsenal news: Man Utd signed Alexis Sanchez despite three bad things the Chilean did - Duration: 2:57.

Arsenal lost Sanchez to Manchester United with the feeling at the time that the Gunners had made a massive transfer error

Comparisons with Robin van Persie's own controversial move to Old Trafford six years ago arose almost immediately

Many believed Arsenal were selling a player at the peak of their powers to a United lacking just a bit of stardust to close the gap on Manchester City

Sanchez has since, though, toiled at the Emirates. Three goals, on a mega salary of £500,000 a week (according to some publications), has been a meagre return

And the Evening Standard claim Sanchez was signed by United despite his behaviour at Arsenal often raising eyebrows

It is claimed the 29-year-old was frequently late for training. At the moment, Sanchez appears to have cut that bad aspect out of his game

Senior sources at the club recently described him as among the hardest workers in the squad

Yet that was not the only bad thing Sanchez did during his time at Arsenal. The Evening Standard say he would often skip the club's commercial or corporate requirements

That may explain why Sanchez often swerved interviews with Arsenal's in-house television channel

And the player would also reportedly fail to respond to emails from the club's staff

Right now, Arsenal appear to have got the last laugh. And Paul Ince thinks the player himself may be regretting his decision to jump ship

He told Paddy Power: "When Alexis Sanchez first went to Manchester United, it was obvious he was going to a team that doesn't suit the way he plays

"The style of play is completely different. "I see people saying that he doesn't try or doesn't work hard enough, and I'm not having that

"He works as hard as he can, but when the way you play just doesn't fit into a team, what else can you do? "Alexis Sanchez will regret not going to Manchester City

"If he'd gone there, it would have been the absolute best move for him."

19 Some Like It Lukewarm from How The Monkees Changed Television - Duration: 1:11.

This is my final happy episode.

It's called "Some Like It Lukewarm."

If you're an old movie fan, of course, that's "Some Like It Hot."

So the writers are making fun of some of their favorite movies.

There's a band contest and everyone shows up and discovers you have to be in a mixed

gender band.

So they force Davy to dress as a girl and they meet a girl's group where they force

-- that's Deanna Martin -- Dean Martin's daughter -- she and Davy were hooked together in the

tabloids as being a relationship.

but they really weren't, but it's kind of fun to put them together.

So this group, so she's doing that.

The answer -- for the most pretty feminist in that there's this girl rock band before

The Bangles and The Gogos there's a girl rock band.

The flaw in this one -- I feel bad -- is when you first meet the women, see how they can

all play their own instruments.

They're all playing guitars and drums.

When the answer of course is we are individually lying about having a mixed gender group so

let's mix our groups together and we will be telling the truth, but when we do it look

what the girls become.

They're the gogo dancers behind the boys playing their instruments.

They totally lose their own ability to be rock stars.

Interfere with where the pieces are supposed to join together. So this part which is very small has a lot of supports around it and

It's been hard to getting a precise fit

At all and we'll see how that goes. But
