CONNECTTWEETLINKEDINCOMMENTEMAILMOREThe Los Angeles Rams' send-off rally is now over, and the team is on its way to Atlanta for the Super Bowl
The Rams have a lot of stylish players, but it was defensive coordinator Wade Phillips' fashion sense that stole the show
Phillips rocked the runway with a massive cowboy hat and a tracksuit. Phillips has indisputably claimed the title of league's funniest coordinator this season, and has shown off his sense of humor every chance he gets
He added a Bum Phillips-inspired jacket for the Rams' arrival in Atlanta, too.Like a boss
#SBLIIIpic.twitter.com/aUyPBZAnr3— Los Angeles Rams (@RamsNFL) January 28, 2019Bum Phillips, Wade's father and inspiration for his Twitter handle @sonofbum, served as head coach of the Houston Oilers and New Orleans Saints from 1975-1985
Wade served on his staff at both stops. Bum Phillips died in 2013 at the age of 90
Son of Bum. @sonofbum | #SBLIIIpic.twitter.com/uS6iHzVGbh— Los Angeles Rams (@RamsNFL) January 28, 2019There was no official indication Sunday night as to whether the jacket Phillips was wearing was actually his father's, or just one very similar in design
It's dad's jacket!! pic.twitter.com/inSJTRP2TH— Eric Edholm (@Eric_Edholm) January 28, 2019Wade Phillips has become universally beloved by Rams fans, and he pulls off the cowboy hat here like nobody else could
All jokes aside, the Super Bowl will be Phillips' time to shine, and he's had plenty of success coordinating defenses against Tom Brady and the Patriots in the past
If he can keep the Rams' defensive success going and help deliver a championship, you might see 10-gallon cowboy hats popping up at the Coliseum next year
