How to do Taxes for the First Time - Duration: 4:35.
Back when I had to file taxes for the first time, I was both lost and confused, and honestly,
a little bit frustrated that after years of education learning things like trigonometry
and poetry, they had never taught me something so common as how to file your taxes.
But at least I can find the cosine of a triangle, right?
Anyways, this video is the video I wish I had back then and hopefully it will help you
get through doing your taxes for the first time.
So, without further ado, let's get started.
So I'm not gonna waste your time on this grand explanation for why we pay taxes.
All you really need to know is that we pay taxes to fund the government, you need to
fill out both a federal and a state tax return, and the deadline to pay your taxes is April
15th.
When people talk about "filing taxes," all they really mean is filling out these complicated
tax forms and mailing it to the Internal Revenue Service, or IRS, along with any payments that
you owe for taxes.
I'll put a link in the description below to help you figure out if you even need to file
taxes but generally speaking, if you had a job at any point during the year, you should
file your taxes because you might owe more taxes now, or you might be getting a refund
because you overpaid on your taxes throughout the year.
Alright, so how do you actually file your taxes?
Well, there's 3 main ways to do it.
The first way is to fill out those tax forms manually.
I'll put some links down in the description to learn more but honestly, this is probably
one of the worst ways to do it, especially for your first time.
Moving on.
The second way to do it is to just have a professional do it for you.
This can be a good option if you have a particularly complicated tax situation such as owning your
own business, going through a major life change, or you forgot to pay taxes in the past.
But frankly, this option can get expensive and if this is your first time filing taxes,
your situation is most likely not that complicated to even need help in the first place.
That's why most people use the third option which is to use tax preparation software to
help you do your taxes.
The way tax preparation software usually works is that they ask you a bunch of questions
about your income and possible deductions and then they fill out your tax returns for
you.
This option is pretty easy and very popular but it also often comes with a fee.
However, many tax preparation software can be used for free if your adjusted gross income
is less than a certain amount.
You can kind of guesstimate your adjusted gross income by adding together all the sources
of income you've made throughout the year.
The IRS has a list of free software that you can use to file your tax returns that I'll
link down below.
When you're looking through the list of options, pay extra attention to the requirements you
need to meet in order to use their software for free, and check whether or not they provide
a state tax return for free as well.
Remember that you need to file both federal and state taxes so you want a software that
can fill out both for you at the same time to make things easier.
If you aren't sure which one to use, I've found that TurboTax is one of the easiest,
but it's also one of the most expensive options to choose.
On the other hand, FreeTaxUSA is often praised for actually being free while a lot of other
"free" tax software finds a way to sneak fees into your return.
The only drawback I see with them is that they charge a flat fee for your state tax
return, but honestly, the price is still pretty good and they are very upfront about it.
And lastly, my personal favorite tax preparation software has always been TaxAct.
They're a good alternative to TurboTax but a little bit cheaper, but just like TurboTax,
they also find little ways to upsell you on certain features.
Now before you use any of these methods to file your taxes, make sure that you have all
your tax related documents ready.
Your employer should be sending you a form W-2 which basically lists how much money you've
made throughout the year and how much in taxes has already been withheld from your paycheck.
You might also get forms from your bank if they've paid you more than $10 in interest
throughout the year, or forms from any other sources of income that you earned.
Most of these forms are supposed to be sent out by January 31st so if you are expecting
a form and you haven't received one, you should contact your company to see if a mistake was
made.
Well, I hope this guide will help you through doing you taxes for the first time but before
I go, I do have one more piece of advice which is to save a copy of your completed tax return
once you finish it.
You never know when you'll need to reference your old tax returns in the future so try
to keep a physical or a digital copy of your tax returns for your own records.

Is It Time to Ditch the Nikon D850? - Duration: 7:59.
The Nikon D850, probably the world's best digital SLR but with so many mirroless
cameras on the market from Canon, Nikon, Fuji and even Sony, is it time to ditch
the D850
I love my Nikon D850 it has helped me capture some truly amazing images but the
camera market is changing. Mirrorless is the future and with so many different new
cameras on the market I have to seriously consider whether I need to
switch from an old digital SLR to a mirrorless camera. But which one? There's
so many I've got Nikon Z offerings, Canon eos R, I've got Sony Alpha
and the a7 and the a9 and even the Fuji GFX. Is it time to switch. So in this
video I'm gonna share with you my thoughts about how I feel about the
Nikon D850 and whether I should change to a mirrorless camera either now or in the
near future. But before I do that and they say evaluate is the Nikon D850
still a good camera for capturing good landscape images. So I've come up to
Dartmoor and as you can see it's snowing so hopefully when the snow
shower clears I'm gonna take a few landscape images and we'll see if the
Nikon D850 it's still a good tool for capturing landscape images.
As you can see I've come back home. Frankly it was just far too cold on
Dartmoor to be doing video and for taking pictures. I barely had enough feeling
in my fingers just to press a shutter button on the D850 but now that I'm
back home and have warmed up a bit and have had a cup of coffee let me share with you
my thoughts on whether I'm going to ditch the D850. Let's start by answering the
question I left you with up on Dartmoor. Is the D850 still a good tool for
me to capture landscape images. Well you've already seen the images on the
screen and I've made a few prints. I made this A3 print here of one of the
images I took up here on Great Staple Tor and there is bags of detail in this
image and the dynamic range is really good as well I have to pull lots of
wonderful detail out of the shadows makes a really nice print. So printed
images generally it isn't going to be an issue. I've also made this panoramic
image as well and this totals about 180 megapixels I think and there are
bags of detail there right from the foreground all the way to the background
there. So to answer the question is it still a good tool for capturing
landscape images? Well for me at least anyway quite clearly it is. By the looks
of it there's no doubt that the D850 continues to capture wonderful landscape
images but as most photographers to tell you it's a photographer that takes a
picture not the camera and if you're in any doubt about that watch a video I
made last year called Shoot Print Surprise. I'll pop a link for it up in
the corner of the screen. Check out those images and then hang
around to the end of the video to see what camera I shot them with. While the
D850 won't make me a better photographer it can make the experience of capturing
and image either easier or more enjoyable so this is why I'm starting to
look at these new mirrorless cameras to try and understand, are there features
and things in those cameras that would make the process of capturing my
landscape images either easier or more enjoyable. Now there are two things I'm
really looking for in the mirrorless camera and first of all is the EVF, an Electronic View Finder, now I've used an EVF on a
number of cameras including this one I'm actually filming this video on. When
I was up there on Great Staple Tor I was lucky enough my friend had a
Z7 with him. Having a look at that camera and looking through that viewfinder I
was blown away by the experience. I had all the information
I'd normally get on the LCD in the back of my D850 but there was inside the
viewfinder. Sometimes you just want to use the viewfinder. Other things I'm
looking for is new glass. So one of the things about all the mirrorless cameras
are coming out now they're creating a whole new set of lenses to go with those
cameras. Now I'm not particularly unhappy with the lenses I've got but some of
them are quite old now. My 16-35 is a good 6 to 7 years old now and while it
produces great images it does have some limitations. So what I would be looking
for if I was going to change would be the the newer glass manufactured to
today's standards and allows me to resolve all that information that the
sensor on my camera can resolve. So a real up step in image quality. So they're
the two things I really would be looking for. Which mirror system would I go to?
Well there's a GFX system from Fuji a medium format
mirrorless camera system. Now the problem with that system is, while the image
quality is apparently amazing, it is a very expensive camera system
to get into. The body is quite expensive, there is a limited lens lineup and even
then those lenses are quite expensive so overall the cost of that system, while it is
quite aspirational to have a medium format camera, I just can't justify that
increase in cost. Then we move on to the Sony mirrorless system and obviously
they've been in the market a bit longer they've got good lens lineup the cameras
a bit more reasonably priced but I think know that Nikon have their Z
mirrorless offerings I don't know why I would switch to Sony.
I don't know why
I'd want to get rid of all my lenses, where with the Nikon Z system I
can gradually convert and buy new lenses when required. So if you look at the
Canon system as well pretty well the same reasons I won't get into Canon as I
wouldn't get into Sony so realistically for me the the natural step I've wanted
to go mirrorless would be to go with the Nikon Z system and perhaps and
either than Z6 orl the Z7. Would I move to the Nikon Z system today?
probably not it's got some of the lenses I'm looking for like the 24-70 f/4 but
I'm really interested in the 14-30 f/4 which comes out later on this year. The
70-200 f/2.8 that I've got I probably just convert. Hopefully they'll do a 72-200 f/4
, but that lens is less important to me the one that I'm really interested in
is that 14-30 f/4. When that lens is available along with a 24-70 f/4
I'll see what the camera lineup is then if it's still the Z7 is the
best choice then I'll probably get that one but there's a another slightly
higher spec model coming down I might try to aim for that one instead
so is it time to ditch the Nikon D850? Well for me no but my move tomorrow is a
matter of when not if. It will happen but if I get to the point where the right
camera and the right lenses are available and I can't move away from the
Nikon D850 I'll still have the world's best digital SLR and that's not

The Future of Car Repair, New Invention - Duration: 5:12.
rev up your engines, today I'm gonna show you how to
work without spilling liquids anywhere, now when you're pouring oil into your
car, you don't want to make a mess, get it on electronics, get it on the
exhaust where it's going to smolder, and yeah for years I've been using funnels, I got
a zillion of them lying around, strange old ones that look like a tornado, this one
that's big and has a little weight to try to keep it from wobbling when you're
pouring the oil in and it jiggles around, but as you can see by the oil residue
here, you still generally get some splash back and it gets on the engine, now this
is a Toyota as you can see, there's a baffle plate in, right inside here
there's a baffle plate, the engineers put them in there to keep the oil flowing so
it doesn't come up the top and to make sure that it doesn't make any noises, but
that plate restricts the opening about halfway, so if you use a funnel what
often happens is, the oil can't go in fast enough so it sprays all over the
place when you pour the oil in the funnel, now over the years the way I
counteracted that was by pouring the oil in the funnel very slowly, but let's face
it, it's annoying and everybody's in a hurry, you don't be standing there for 20
minutes pouring it in a drop at a time, so I've been trying this shine spout out
a company sent me a case of the stuff to try out, so I thought hey it sounds like
a good idea let's see if it works, and here it is, it's an interesting idea
because one, it's got this cool little bladder vent that only goes one way
it'll suck air in, but when you blow it out, it won't come up, so the oil won't
come dripping out here only air can go up, and it's got a cool end on it so you
can cap it off, but the neatest thing is it's flexible, you can bend it so you can
put it at any angle and it stays that way because the way this plastic is made
I'm gonna use this Tito's vodka bottle to show you how well it pours
it's just pours smoothly and the air comes in here so it doesn't gulp and even
as the neighbors cat attracted to it, as you can see in a close-up, that vent
system works great, it let's the air come in but it doesn't let any
of the fluid come out and make a mess, and it's
got a perfect-sized cap it fits on the regular quart oil cans, and it also fits
on the 5 and 4 gallon jugs, so you can use it with all kinds of jugs, now I always
hated changing oil in these lexus v6 engines, because they got a huge
baffle plate inside here, and when you glug too much oil in and it goes on
the seam, leaks on the exhaust manifold all over the transmission what a mess,
but with the vented spout look, you can have it at the perfect angle, and pour it
at the perfect speed, you don't have to worry about it spilling anywhere, and when
you're done, cap little end and you can store the rest of the oil away, then rather
than looking for a thousand funnels you don't know where any of them are, you can
just have your bottle will the funnel already on it and you're not gonna miss it
that way, I don't know how many funnels I got hidden inside my garage here, but I
don't have to look for them anymore I can just use this instead, and of course it's
great for reaching hard to get to things like the power steering pump here, and you
don't have to worry about spilling transmission fluid anymore, because it
fits right into the hole and it won't spill, I got to say somebody built a
better mousetrap, hey I'm gonna use it now the second device I'm gonna talk
about to stop spills, is this press and pour little gas pump with a gallon of
gas in it, I don't know how many times I'd filled up as weedeater and got gas
all over the place and it stunk and my wife would come in the yard and say,
hey it smells like gas in here what happened, you stick it in the hole where
it fits, then you push the little button stick a gas pump and it fills it up with
gas, I'll take it off and show you how it works inside, there's the bottom it
screws in it's sealed, but when you push the little button it opens up and lets the
gas in, it's got a little rubber seal so when you let go, it seals it no more gas
flows through, and at least for me since I'm always losing things, this is
great, you don't need the top for it because this is sealed there's nothing
coming through it now, so I don't have to hunt around, where did I put the gas cap
for this, this is one piece there's no cap whenever you fill it you just push
the little button like at a gas station and when you're done,
pop it back up, nothing to lose, it even has this
cool little grip here so you can hold on it just like you do at the gas
station when you fill your car up, so now you know how to never spill things again
when you're working on your cars, or any other gas-powered tool you have, and

Is It Time to Ditch the Nikon D850? - Duration: 7:59.The Nikon D850, probably the world's best digital SLR but with so many mirroless
cameras on the market from Canon, Nikon, Fuji and even Sony, is it time to ditch
the D850
I love my Nikon D850 it has helped me capture some truly amazing images but the
camera market is changing. Mirrorless is the future and with so many different new
cameras on the market I have to seriously consider whether I need to
switch from an old digital SLR to a mirrorless camera. But which one? There's
so many I've got Nikon Z offerings, Canon eos R, I've got Sony Alpha
and the a7 and the a9 and even the Fuji GFX. Is it time to switch. So in this
video I'm gonna share with you my thoughts about how I feel about the
Nikon D850 and whether I should change to a mirrorless camera either now or in the
near future. But before I do that and they say evaluate is the Nikon D850
still a good camera for capturing good landscape images. So I've come up to
Dartmoor and as you can see it's snowing so hopefully when the snow
shower clears I'm gonna take a few landscape images and we'll see if the
Nikon D850 it's still a good tool for capturing landscape images.
As you can see I've come back home. Frankly it was just far too cold on
Dartmoor to be doing video and for taking pictures. I barely had enough feeling
in my fingers just to press a shutter button on the D850 but now that I'm
back home and have warmed up a bit and have had a cup of coffee let me share with you
my thoughts on whether I'm going to ditch the D850. Let's start by answering the
question I left you with up on Dartmoor. Is the D850 still a good tool for
me to capture landscape images. Well you've already seen the images on the
screen and I've made a few prints. I made this A3 print here of one of the
images I took up here on Great Staple Tor and there is bags of detail in this
image and the dynamic range is really good as well I have to pull lots of
wonderful detail out of the shadows makes a really nice print. So printed
images generally it isn't going to be an issue. I've also made this panoramic
image as well and this totals about 180 megapixels I think and there are
bags of detail there right from the foreground all the way to the background
there. So to answer the question is it still a good tool for capturing
landscape images? Well for me at least anyway quite clearly it is. By the looks
of it there's no doubt that the D850 continues to capture wonderful landscape
images but as most photographers to tell you it's a photographer that takes a
picture not the camera and if you're in any doubt about that watch a video I
made last year called Shoot Print Surprise. I'll pop a link for it up in
the corner of the screen. Check out those images and then hang
around to the end of the video to see what camera I shot them with. While the
D850 won't make me a better photographer it can make the experience of capturing
and image either easier or more enjoyable so this is why I'm starting to
look at these new mirrorless cameras to try and understand, are there features
and things in those cameras that would make the process of capturing my
landscape images either easier or more enjoyable. Now there are two things I'm
really looking for in the mirrorless camera and first of all is the EVF, an Electronic View Finder, now I've used an EVF on a
number of cameras including this one I'm actually filming this video on. When
I was up there on Great Staple Tor I was lucky enough my friend had a
Z7 with him. Having a look at that camera and looking through that viewfinder I
was blown away by the experience. I had all the information
I'd normally get on the LCD in the back of my D850 but there was inside the
viewfinder. Sometimes you just want to use the viewfinder. Other things I'm
looking for is new glass. So one of the things about all the mirrorless cameras
are coming out now they're creating a whole new set of lenses to go with those
cameras. Now I'm not particularly unhappy with the lenses I've got but some of
them are quite old now. My 16-35 is a good 6 to 7 years old now and while it
produces great images it does have some limitations. So what I would be looking
for if I was going to change would be the the newer glass manufactured to
today's standards and allows me to resolve all that information that the
sensor on my camera can resolve. So a real up step in image quality. So they're
the two things I really would be looking for. Which mirror system would I go to?
Well there's a GFX system from Fuji a medium format
mirrorless camera system. Now the problem with that system is, while the image
quality is apparently amazing, it is a very expensive camera system
to get into. The body is quite expensive, there is a limited lens lineup and even
then those lenses are quite expensive so overall the cost of that system, while it is
quite aspirational to have a medium format camera, I just can't justify that
increase in cost. Then we move on to the Sony mirrorless system and obviously
they've been in the market a bit longer they've got good lens lineup the cameras
a bit more reasonably priced but I think know that Nikon have their Z
mirrorless offerings I don't know why I would switch to Sony.
I don't know why
I'd want to get rid of all my lenses, where with the Nikon Z system I
can gradually convert and buy new lenses when required. So if you look at the
Canon system as well pretty well the same reasons I won't get into Canon as I
wouldn't get into Sony so realistically for me the the natural step I've wanted
to go mirrorless would be to go with the Nikon Z system and perhaps and
either than Z6 orl the Z7. Would I move to the Nikon Z system today?
probably not it's got some of the lenses I'm looking for like the 24-70 f/4 but
I'm really interested in the 14-30 f/4 which comes out later on this year. The
70-200 f/2.8 that I've got I probably just convert. Hopefully they'll do a 72-200 f/4
, but that lens is less important to me the one that I'm really interested in
is that 14-30 f/4. When that lens is available along with a 24-70 f/4
I'll see what the camera lineup is then if it's still the Z7 is the
best choice then I'll probably get that one but there's a another slightly
higher spec model coming down I might try to aim for that one instead
so is it time to ditch the Nikon D850? Well for me no but my move tomorrow is a
matter of when not if. It will happen but if I get to the point where the right
camera and the right lenses are available and I can't move away from the
Nikon D850 I'll still have the world's best digital SLR and that's not

Sama Was Found Dead in the Passenger Side of a Car that Had Driven to a Different Location After the Shooting.
The Palm Beach Post reports that Sama, who is not named in the article, was found dead inside of a car in the 72000 block of 72nd Way, close to Palm Beach Lakes High School.
The Post says in their report that it's likely the driver of the car Sama was in, drove a half-mile from 45th Street and Haverhill Road before he fell unconscious.
Sama was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was found dead.
The driver had fled the scene.
WPBF describes detectives working the scene of the shooting as being there for hours processing the scene.
When asked in a 2018 interview about the violence in Palm Beach, Sama said that there were too many young people trying to join gangs in the city.
Sama said that growing up, he had to spend every day looking over his shoulder.
Sama added that he has had a more than one friend who has fallen victim to gun violence in the city.
A Little Over a Month Before His Death, Sama Released a Song That Was Dedicated to His Fallen Friends.
A little over a month before his death, Sama released a new video for his song, "You Sleep." The Fader describes the clip as paying a "tribute to fallen loved ones." Sama told the magazine that the song was originally written in 2016.
Sama added, "I came up with the song while I was incarcerated back in 2016.
