In this first video of my Advent Calendar
I will teach you how to
how to apply fake eyelashes fro A to Z
How to choose them ?
All the ways to apply them
What differences between the designs
How to remove them, how to clean them
How to store them, how may times you can keep them
I really tried to do a complete video
I hope it will help you!
I received a few months ago this
Lash-aid kit from HOL
So I kept to to do this video
that I planned to do a long time ago
I was waiting to find some time to do it
and I find that the Holidays season is
the best time to do it!
Its THE lash time of the year lol
Here is the kit I received so there were
2 lash pairs, a mirror, a lash curler
a tweeter to apply the lashes
a scissor to cut a too big lash
and a lash glue
I wear lashes kinda everyday because
I find it faster to apply them instead
of doing my mascara because I like
big lashes and I spend too much time on it
so applying lashes is easier for me
You have to practice a lot to succeed
and when you don't know how to do it's diabolical lol
So I decided to do this video to show you
all the ways to apply them easily
so you can find a technic that you like
the lashes that fits you the most
I swear it's easy when you learn and practice
and you will find it very easy I promise
Plus it's the detail that kills everything lol
All you need is obviously
some glue (clear or black)
I love the HOL ones
take some that are latex free
I thought the Huda Beauty one was like the Duo glue
but not at all (I hate the Duo one)
but this one is really good (only black)
A lash tweezer, or a regular tweezer to apply the lashes
There are different lash designs
first of all the ones with black strips
the most voluminous ones but a bit rigid
so a bit more tricky to apply
The ones with clear strips
my personal favorites, if you're a beginner
choose them because it's easier to apply
The half lashes are supposed to do a cat eye effect
if you're a beginner these ones are easy to apply too
One by one lashes
these are more natural
plus you can build the volume as you want
The bottom lashes are made for the lower lash line
and generally feature clear strips
The lash that is on the right goes to you left eye, and
the left one on your right eye. To remove them from the
box the first technic is to do that *look*
I usually do this for all my lashes
Or you can do that too *look*
it's good for the most fragile ones
The best makeup look is at least an eyeliner
because it will help you to hide the strip
Then use a lash curler on your lashes
it's very important if your lashes are straight
Then apply some black mascara
a thin coat is better
so you can hide them into the fake lashes
No clumpy lashes please
use a lash comb to avoid the clumpy effect
Once you chose the lash pair you like the most
Put it on your eye without gluing it to check the size
I can't show you a too large lash as
all lashes generally fit me
But if it's too large you'll see it
Take a nail scissor and cut
the OUTER CORNER
NEVER THE INNER CORNER
The first technic consists in applying
the black strips lashes because these are the more
common ones. They are generally rigid
so you have to soften them before applying
It's very important so it will be
easier to apply
Then apply some glue like everywhere
put a thick coat
put more on inner and outer corners
wait 30 sec before applying on you eyes
Use a tweezer and take the lash by the center
then put it on your lash line
and then you can glue the inner and outer corners
glue it very close to the natural lash line
don't put it at 2 m of the natural
lashes it will look gross
Now press the fake lashes on the natural ones
to hide the natural lashes into the fake ones
the mascara helps to stick them together
Generally, you have to re do your eyeliner
especially on the inner corner
Here is the result
The second technic consists in applying
the clear strips lashes
These are my favorites, especially this design
from HOL that I love
Apply some glue
everywhere and wait 30 sec
Take the lash with a tweezer by the middle
put it on your natural lash line and then
glue the inner and outer corners
glue them very close to
your natural lash line
avoid clumpy effect lol
and them mix the fake with
the natural lashes
Do your eyeliner again
if the shape has changed
generally on the inner corner
Here is the result
so you can notice that it's a bit more invisible
The third technic is how to apply half lashes
Put some glue obviously
put it everywhere
With a tweezer or even your fingers
take the lash by the middle and apply it
on the outer part of your eye
try to go close to the lash line
and mix the natural and fake lashes together
It's not very well applied lol sorry
but you can notice that the result is more natural
than the previous ones
How to apply these lashes?
In these boxes there are generally 3 or 4 different sizes
mostly 3 : small medium and large
so start with the larger ones
use a tweezer because with your fingers
its a bit more difficult. Apply some glue
Start by the outer corner and simply put the lash
on your natural lash line
between your natural lashes
I always start with the larger size on the outer corner
I put 3 of them, and then I apply 3 medium in the middle
and then 3 little in the inner corner
You can build the volume as you like
Put more or less, do it your own way!
A lot of people are afraid by this technic but
I swear it's very easy, I find it easier
than applying a fringe!
Once you're done you can apply some mascara
on top so the fake lashes will be invisible
wait for the glue to be dry (it becomes translucent)
Comb them
Here is the result
So you can see that it's more natural
and quite invisible
This technic is mostly used for weddings!
For this technic you will need 2 pairs of
clear strips lashes
Put some glue on both of them
Apply one of them
use the same technic used previously
Once the fist stay in place
you can add the second one
Don't forget to mix your natural lashes
to the 2 fake ones
you can do it with an half lash and a clear strip one, do what you want!
Here is the result, it's a bit thick but
it's a good technic if you want a voluminous effect
Now it's time for the invisible application
You need some clear strips lashes
it's very important
Then cut them in 3 parts
Take the outer part and put the lash below
your natural one and not on the lash line
Pull your lid upwards and glue the lash part
between the waterline and you natural lashes
it's better to glue on the natural lashes than
on the waterline directly
use latex free glue
Don't worry it's not painful nor dangerous
it's just a bit weird and tricky
but you will succeed with a bit practice
Mix well the fake and natural
lashes together
And finish with the inner part
do the the exact same things than previously
Here is the result
You can notice that the fake lashes are completely invisible
this technic is used in most of the mascara ads
How to apply bottom lashes ?
It's less famous but very useful
Put some glue on it
if you put too much like me use your
fingers to remove the excess and wait 30 sec
Use your fingers to apply it by holding it on the tips
and put them below your natural lashes
Once it stays in place use a tweezer
to be more precise on the outer and inner corners
put it close to the natural lashes
mix the fake with the natural ones
Bottom lashes look better with a bold
eye makeup look
Here is the result
To remove the lashes, simply take it by the inner
or outer corner and pull it off
it's actually very easy
Don't worry it won't ruin your natural lashes
as its glued on the skin of the lash line
sometimes some glue can run into your natural lashes
don't worry it will hurt a little bit
maybe 1 or 2 lash can come off but they will grow up soon
or just take a q tip
with oil free makeup remover
no oil it's very important
oil can ruin your lashes
so you put it where the glue is
and then take it off
you can do it as well for the
invisible technic if you want
you can remove them easily
Concerning the lash by lash ones
you can't reuse them so just wash you face as usual
they will come off with the rest of your makeup
it won't ruin your wash bowl
you can't reuse them so...
All other lashes can be reused
don't throw them
except if you put some mascara on it, to me
a lashes that have mascara on has to be thrown. I know
some people clean them using alcohol or
oil free makeup (very important)
or you can ruin your lashes
you can do it with a q tip
but I find it useless as it takes too much time
don't put mascara on them at all
or throw them
Once you took your lashes off
you have to remove the glue on it
wait for the glue to be completely dry
I usually wait for 24 hours
I find it more easier but it's
up to you
and just do like that *look*
Don't re apply your lashes if there is 1 meter of glue on it
please it's awful
and you will look gross
Always remove the glue before you re apply them
plus you will keep them more
you can wear it as long as they are not broken
or in a strange shape
it can be 10 20 or 30 times it depends
on the quality of the lashes
To store them simply keep the original box
it's good if you don't have a lot
but if you have too much like me
boxes take too much space
I bought these on amazon
it saves a lot of space and it's easier to store them
and to know the references I put a sheet
of paper at the back with the names
Another options to store them is to use these boxes
from HOL, so this is the little one
This is the medium one and you can store 10 lash pairs
I put the names that were on the original boxes
to know which is which
In this one you can store 22 pairs it's the bigger size
I put the names as well
I hope this video was helpful
and you learnt some things from me
I hope you'll find the best technics for you
If I forgot something please ask in the comments
but I hope this video was complete!
