Kimidori-san: Hm? What is it?
Subject: As I Expected It seems we've come to a complex crossroads. I'd suggest perhaps a little trial and error? Don't worry, we can redo things as many times as we like, after all! That said, we should try and keep things as simple as possible...
Kimidori-san: Hm? What is it?
Kyon: Right. I needed so submit an entry for Miss North High... Here it is.
Kimidori-san: Ah, an entry for that girl from before. I'll handle that for you. I'll just be a moment.
And then Kimidori-san input the data from the form into her computer. The same way I've seen her do previously.
Reflecting on past experience, I wonder if she might be double registered now... Eh, it's fine. Even if she is, I'm sure someone else can handle it.
Kimidori-san: Your entry has been registered. The event for announcing the contestants is at 4:00 PM today on the main stage. Please make sure that your candidate attends.
Kimidori-san: You are permitted to advertise your candidate's participation throughout the day in advance. Your efforts can make a real difference in the results, so do your best.
Kimidori-san: I wish you the best of luck.
And so, the entry was safely taken care of. Now I just need to report in to Tsuruya-san... How should I go about that?
- Do nothing > Tsuruya-san's Phone Number
I'll call her. It'll be easier to deceive her that way.
Tsuruya-san: Hiya. Who's callin'?
Kyon: Ah, it's me...
Tsuruya-san: That voice, you're the boy from this mornin'!? When did I give you my number?
Got her!
Kyon: Huh? Are you saying you forgot about arranging Asahina-san's entry?
Tsuruya-san: Mikuru's entry? Eh, eh? Wha'chu talkin' 'bout?
Kyon: You wanted me to enter Asahina-san in the Miss North High contest, right?
That was in an alternate timeline though.
Tsuruya-san: I said that? Did I say that? I wonder, did I~?
Kyon: Eeh? But I've already submitted the entry form?
Tsuruya-san: Ueeeh!? Seriously boy?
Kyon: Seriously serious, super serious even... Ah, did I do something I shouldn't have? I mean, I was under the impression that's what you wanted me to do.
Tsuruya-san: No, no, no, it's fine, but...
Kyon: Eh, did you change your mind? Did I mess up?
Tsuruya-san: No, it's just there's kinda a little bit of a huge problem here.
Kyon: Ah, did you not tell Asahina-san perhaps?
Tsuruya-san: If I asked her right now, she'd totally refuse to enter.
Kyon: Perhaps it's best if you keep quiet for now then. So... What next?
Tsuruya-san: ... Whew, alright boy. I can't back out at this point! We're in it to win it from here on!
Here it comes!
Tsuruya-san: Y'know what I mean? We should prob'ly do some publicity and stuff before the event, don'cha think?
Kyon: You can leave that stuff to me, Tsuruya-san. You're probably better off sticking with Asahina-san for now?
Kyon: It'd be a disaster if she heard about this through our publicity, wouldn't it? You should stick close to her and give her the news at an opportune moment.
Tsuruya-san: Got it. I'll follow your lead and keep her in the dark for now!
Kyon: I'm counting on you.
Tsuruya-san: That's my line! Let's make sure Mikuru wins this thing!
Kyon: ... Whew~
Technically, I didn't actually lie to her at any point... I've somehow made it this far.
Kyon: ... Now then.
As for publicity... I'm not sure I can handle it all on my own, is there anyone I could ask to help me...?
Subject: There's only one solution! I know just the person you need helping right now, I'm pretty sure you're thinking of them too. I'm pretty sure she's in the school building.
