Tanki Online V-LOG: Episode 160 - Duration: 6:52.

WARNING: This video may potentially trigger seizures for people with photosensitive epilepsy. Viewer discretion is advised.

In this episode we'll be telling you about updates to Rugby mode,

discussing changes to battle interface

and we'll be also revealing what War in Tanki Online is.

Hello Tankers!

Last Saturday Rugby mode finally came out.

We checked how you played, tried it ourselves and listened to your feedback.

After fixing a few small bugs, we've decided to change the following:

When the ball is caught, it will spin above the tank,

making it easier for you to notice that you've picked the ball.

When the ball is thrown, it will also spin while in the air,

making the passes look more realistic.

We've also noticed that not everyone passes the ball, which could really help out your team.

Passing can strike the enemy team off guard, and could be very effective.

Here're a couple of things you might not know:

To pass you need to press the F key

Passing will be done in the direction of your turret,

which means you can drive forward, and pass it to the sides or behind you.

The ball is shot 30 degrees above the turret,

so if you swing your tank and pass the ball, it will fly a bit further.

And if you play with Magnum,

raise your turret straight up and pass, the ball will fly behind you.

Among many requests for Rugby we heard this one a lot:

make it so that the ball can be thrown into the enemy base to score the goal,

without driving into the enemy base.

And here, even though we understand where the idea comes from, the answer is no.

First, this would create a big advantage for one of the teams on several maps

because of the terrain, and second,

in real Rugby you need to reach the opposing team's base to score.

When we released Rugby we also added a new indication of where the enemy base is

- a special icon on the screen -

and this gave us an idea to do the same for all other modes.

So, in one of the future updates,

in CTF you will also see where the enemy base is and if the flag has already been taken or not

- even through the buildings.

In Assault it will be almost the same,

except the Blue Team will not see the base of the Red Team, because they don't need to

Both in Assault and CTF,

we'll also add new indication of where the flag is right now.

Now you will always know where the flag is, but in close combat

the flag position indicator will be disabled to give the flag carrier a chance to survive.

For TDM and CP these changes are not planned.

Also for all modes we will add new battle notifications,

for example "Player 1 has taken the flag" or "has lost the flag".

This will be shown using new icons in the battle log

and with the new battle indicators, which are coming soon.

In the middle of the screen you will see only the important events,

like "Flag delivered", "Goal scored", or "Point captured".

And Gold Box notifications, of course.

A few days ago we announced a new event in TO, called "War",

and today we'll share the details.

War is a new event in Tanki Online, where 4 regions will battle for supremacy

- the English, the German, the Polish and the Russian communities.

The event will take place on a global map of a fictional world.

Your goal is to choose a side and help win the War.

To participate you need to purchase one of the 4 regional paints,

and after that you can log in on the special site for the event

to track your team's progress and follow the enemy factions.

The event will be running in a turn-based format, and each turn will last for 48 hours.

On the first day all participants will decide what to do this turn:

you will need to pick 2 territories next to yours for attack and 1 for defence.

To confirm the turn each player of the team

needs to make a certain number of kills in the event paint, like during Crazy weekends.

On the second day the goal for each team is to play effectively,

maintaining a high K/D ratio.

At the end of each turn all sides will apply their attacks

and a couple of things might happen:

If the attack is targeting a neutral, unclaimed territory, it goes to the attackers

(if they reach the collective goal with kills for the day).

The same works for attacking enemy territories with no defence.

If the attack is aimed at the defended enemy territory,

both sides will be compared in their average K/D ratio,

which they achieved during the second day of their turn.

The territory will go to the faction with the highest K/D,

which works the same if several teams attack the same region at the same time.

The global goal for each region is to collect resources: survey data and rocket fuel.

Each turn factions will receive 1 point of both resources from the Capital cities.

Also on the map you will find territories with survey data centers and rocket fuel factories.

To earn the resource, you will need to capture that territory and hold it for 1 turn.

On the map you will also find special territories with a one-time bonus.

Capture such a territory and all who participated in capturing it will get a reward

To win the War you need to:

Earn 10 points of each resource

Capture the central territory with the Rocket

Hold the territory with the Rocket for 1 turn

Rewards for winning the War include containers, crystals and rare paints.

Sounds complicated, huh?

But like any game, play once and you'll quickly get into it.

We will announce when the War begins a bit later.

Video of the Week

In the last episode we asked you

to make a video with parkour skills on a Mammoth wearing the Red paint.

Let's watch the winner!

Next time, record something cool with Rugby.

Ball tricks, cool passes and daring captures - the map and paint choice is up to you.

That's it for this episode!

Follow the news on the Forum, our Facebook and Twitter,

and watch the V-LOG!

Bye!

In the last episode we asked you what paint was on the Wasp, and

the right answer is - Winter.

Welcome the winners and here's the new question:

How much damage will Hornet get?

The TRUTH About Battery Replacement Problems in Your Car - DIY with Scotty Kilmer - Duration: 3:17.

rev up your engines!

today I'm going to show you something that you should always do in a modern

car when you change your battery, so you don't end up having weird electrical

problems, over the past decade and even a little bit further back, I've had lots of

customers come to me and say, I changed the battery in that car and now it's not

running right, sometimes they idle poorly, sometimes things like the power

windows or the radio wouldn't work, and sometimes they wouldn't even start, they

couldn't understand why, and here's what happened, if you disconnect the battery

in a modern computer, it turns off the computers: keep alive memory, as you can

see in this diagram, many things in a modern car are controlled by a computer,

not just the engine control, electronic power steering, blind spot

detection, navigation system, security systems, all kinds of things that can go

haywire if you disconnect the power to the battery, so when you put in the new

battery and start the car, a lot of times the computers have to relearn idle

speed and all kinds of stuff, Toyota's will often idle poorly after you

do that, generally they'll reset themselves after a few days of driving,

but take a car like this Mercedes, and this thing if you disconnect the

battery, sometimes it'll require numerous module reset procedures to be done, with

a factory scan tool that can take hours, and hours, and cost quite a bit of money,

and all you need is one of these obd2 keep memory alive tools, I got this one

on Amazon for like 15 bucks, you just get the device, then you plug it into the OBD

port in the dash, then you connect that positive to positive, negative to

negative, to any 12 volt supply, I'm using this bolt power little jumper pack, I got

tons of them lying around, but you can use another battery, any 12-volt battery

will work, then that 12-volt stays inside the system, so when you disconnect the

battery and put another battery in, the computer still has power and it won't

lose all its keepalive memory, I remember the first time decades ago I was working

on a Saturn, changed the battery on the car when I was doing an alternator job,

and then the next day the customer called up and said what did you do to my car, it's

idling really poorly, then I did a little research and

found out that it had shut off the keep alive memory, and had to relearn all the

idle strategies, so from now on whenever I do batteries, I put one of these in and

I don't have to deal with any of that stuff, then you don't have to worry about losing

any of your radio stations, or even worse if you have a security radio station, it'll

say security and your radio won't work until you reprogram it, and in those

anti-theft radios, if you don't have the code, you can't

even listen to it, and sometimes you got to pull the radio out and there's a

number on the back and you get that number call up the dealer, it can be a

real pain in the butt, so now you know, the next time you got to change your

battery, get one of these $15 keep alive memory tools, and you'll really thank me,

more quick fixes on the Scotty Kilmer channel, so if you never want to miss

another one of my new car repair videos remembering to ring that Bell!

Boston and Philadelphia Compared - Duration: 7:22.

Boston and Philadelphia.

Or...Beantown and The City of Brotherly Love.

Two major east coast cities in the United States, both part of the Northeast Megalopolis (mwhahahahahaha)

a part of the country that contains more than 17 percent of its entire population, or some 50 million people on less than 2% of the country's land area.

Both cities are exciting places to live in with a bright future.

Both are two of the oldest cities in the United States.

Before Europeans arrived, the Delaware Valley, where Philadelphia is located, was home to the Delaware Indians.

Various nations had lived in the area where Boston is currently located, but the Massachusett were the ones mainly around when Europeans came to the area.

Both cities were founded by those seeking religious freedom.

William Penn and other Quakers founded Philadelphia in 1682 Puritans founded Boston in 1630.

So yeah, Boston's about 52 years older.

Both were political, financial, and commercial centers of their colonies.

Philadelphia, of the Pennsylvania colony, and Boston, of really all of New England.

Both steadily grew at about the same rates during the colonial era, although Philadelphia always stayed ahead of Boston in population.

Both Boston and Philadelphia saw some action during the American Revolution.

Boston saw more violence within the city. I mean, there was the freaking Siege of Boston, which lasted almost a year, in which New England militiamen surrounded British forces within the city.

Philadelphia was quiet at first. So quiet that the First and Second Continental Congresses met there and it became the capital of the United States.

However, the British captured the city in September 1777 and controlled it until the next summer.

After the Revolution, both cities became industrial centers and each city's population skyrocketed.

In fact, the population of both Boston and Philadelphia steadily climbed and climbed and climbed and climbed until the Great Depression.

Since then, it's been up and down.

Now, when I talk about the population of cities, I tend to focus on the METROPOLITAN AREA, man. That's how you do it, count those suburbs, son.

The Boston metropolitan area has 4.8 million people and the Philadelphia metro has about 6 million.

Looks like you win, there, Philly. Unless people don't like a lot of people. Then I guess you lose.

Then again, Philly is 18% less densely populated than Boston, so you'd have a little more personal space there.

So say you'd want to move to one of these two fine cities?

Well, I will tell you, and I found this quite surprising, but the cost of living in Boston is almost 71% higher than the cost of living in Philadelphia.

This is mostly because housing costs are more than 291% more in Boston than they are in Philly.

The sales tax rate in Philadelphia ends up being 8% but in Boston it's only 6.25%.

Both cities have solid public transportation.

Philadelphia has the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, or SEPTA, the 5th largest overall transit system in the country, although it apparently doesn't reach all parts of the metro.

Boston also has an impressive transit system for a city its size, and can brag that it has the country's oldest active transit subway, built in 1897.

The Northeast Corridor high speed rail will actually get you from Boston to Philly in just under five hours.

What about the cars? Well, sorry Boston, but based on my research you have worse traffic than Philly.

Although, the commute time is longer in Philly, and don't get me wrong, traffic just sucks in both cities.

Part of the reason why Boston's traffic might be worse is due to its meandering streets that seemingly go in random directions.

Philly's streets were designed to be more accommodating to the modern world, and are mostly in a reasonable grid.

Philly has better weather than Boston. It has more sunny days.

Hey, it really IS always sunny in Philadelphia.

(It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia)

And it's warmer. Boston gets three times as much snow as Philadelphia does. Overall precipitation is about the same in both cities, though.

Boston has better air quality than Philadelphia. Oh Philly, you're gonna hate me now...

Philadelphia has more poverty.

Over 21% of Boston's population lives in poverty, while around 26% of Philadelphia's population lives in poverty.

Philly's unemployment rate is almost double that of Boston. Sadly, it's the poorest major city in the country.

Related to this, Philadelphia has more crime than Boston.

In recent years, it has had more than 3 times as many homicides as Boston.

Major industries in Philadelphia are bio-science, financial services, and tourism.

Tourism and financial services are also big money makers in Boston, as well as biotech and Education.

Boston has more college educated folks- more than 45% have college degrees, whereas just over 31% do in Philadelphia.

Hey but Philly has more museums than Boston, so there's that.

What about the schools, man? Well Boston has fewer students in each classroom than Philly does, yet spends nearly 12% less per student than Philly does.

Philadelphia residents are less likely to have a religious affiliation than Boston residents.

Before I go, I might as well mention all the professional sports teams.

Boston has the Patriots in football, the Red Sox in baseball, the Celtics in basketball, and the Bruins in hockey.

Philadelphia has the Eagles in football, the Phillies in baseball, the 76ers in basketball, and the Flyers in hockey.

So this leads me to explain why I am comparing Boston and Philadelphia.

It's mostly because both have NFL teams featured in this year's Super Bowl. I know, the Patriots are in Foxborough, but that's just outside of Boston, ok?

The New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles will face off on Sunday.

The two teams actually played each other in the Super Bowl 13 years ago. The Patriots won that one by three.

The Patriots have won quite a few Super Bowls, and the Eagles have not won one yet.

Meanwhile, my Chiefs haven't been to a Super Bowl since 1970, but I digress.

If you want to know who will win that game based on the history of the two cities alone, go check out a video my friend Sami from US101 made.

In it, us history Youtuber dorks predicted who would win purely based on the historical significance of each city.

Click to see who I predicted would win.

Also, it's Groundhog Day, and I suppose it's time to unveil my new YouTube channel I started on the side.

The channel is called The Beat Goes On, and I just posted a new video on it this week about one of my favorite films of all time, Groundhog Day.

That's right, everything you need to know about the film and probably then some.

Go check it out and subscribe. Don't worry, this will still be my main channel. Think of The Beat Goes On as a side project.

I'd love to hear your thoughts about the new channel. Let me know what you think in the comments below. Thanks for watching!

The Last Free Place On Earth ~ Slab City 2018 - Duration: 15:42.

guys good morning you may not understand this adventure but I got into it it's

been over three years since I've stayed overnight in Slab City

and I'm not gonna be alone there and I think

everything's gonna be okay I'm gonna go check it out slab City USA

the last free place on earth Jax do you member this place

you recognize this road it's been a few years yeah

coming up on our right here this building is the unofficial welcome to

Slab City sign doesn't say anything about slab city anymore though there's a

Salvation Mountain that you are right there Adobe and acrylic paint

here's another military kiosk here slab city welcomed and see in front of me

here's a sheriff so this place is well patrolled House u.s. Border Patrol but

still police do come out here it's not that

this is a lawless area there are laws and rules it's just free to camp out

here and no telling how many people are out here camping in the winter

more than RTR definitely there's and hopefully I'm not too late the group

Terry and Scott and Jason and hope they're all out here I'm gonna try to

find him yep good old slab city everybody it's been a while huh a lot of

people from the RTR kind of came out here to a spot out on near tank Road and

the lows this place has changed a lot since I've been out here a lot less

tweakers and druggies so that's a good thing we're getting lots of Sun it's

nice I got Jason and Candice of camping with the Kelly's next to me and Angelo

is next to me get some solar hair in a couple days we're actually going to see

temperatures rising up into the 80s out here in California in the winter so yeah

I know there's a lot of people making YouTube videos a slab city lately so I'm

not going to bore you with that kind of stuff from but from day to day I'll be

taking the bike out and checking out a few things and sharing it with you just

so you can see and then soon enough I'll be back to normal

vlogging traveling and stuff but I could use up to a week out here guys I could

you know why not but I want to keep everything fresh for y'all so let's let

Jax sniff around and see what he thinks

okay time to go explore slab city guys on the bike this will be interesting

and this is going to be my setup I'm going to put my hero six in the backpack

and I'm gonna have my hero four here on the chest mount because I think it gives

the best view so far that I found for the bike I've noticed that if you put it

on the helmet you know everywhere you look it just makes the camera go crazy

and I can't stand it I don't think other people like that and I don't have a

place to mount it on the handlebars or anywhere else just yes so we're gonna go

with this for now and we're gonna go explore slab city here in 2018 just be

mindful I don't care to stop at other people's camps out here outside of our

little group right here cuz a lot of people are really into their their

privacy then they don't want to be bothered so we'll ride through and I'll

make the right stops where I can to share a little bit of this with you so

well our first stop here guys is the range in Slab City not a whole lot going

on in the daytime or during the week but you guys ever seen the movie into the

wild great movie please watch that if you have not seen that this place was a

featured in the movie I will just mention they have not upgraded the

furniture seating arrangement in several years but yeah every Saturday night

talent show music going on they run generators and light this place up they

serve hot dogs and hamburgers over here and it's a good time I'm gonna check it

out on Saturday open mic that's what they call it an open mic on Saturdays

like I said the daytime nothing going on Slab City is a weird place lots of just

dogs roaming around lots of mental illness lot the drug use a lot of people

are here that don't want to be here but they're they're forced to be here you

want to live out here people have been living out here for free for over 20

years there are no limits there are rules and there are laws like I said but

it's still free and I think that's why there's a lot of garbage everywhere

pretty much number one concern of everybody as always is it safe well it's

safe if you mind your own business and if you're with a good group of people

lots of burned up abandoned rvs and trailers and trash everywhere and the

smell can be overwhelming sometimes but it's only like this in certain areas

there's a lot of art and there is a lot of beauty to Slab City as well which is

really weird you wouldn't think about it but there are a lot of creative people

out here who have nothing to do except sit out here in the desert and come up

with ways to create art I'm a nomad by nature I love to change things up all

the time and to see new stuff so being parked like this in a spot for years and

years and years and especially in the summer when it's 120 degrees no thanks

but there are people who brave it out year-round out here at slab city which

is just incredible and they've built I'm not even going to show you some of the

good ones but there are some interesting and truss structures out here you know

there's no building codes you can pretty much build and live in and create

whatever you want out here and a lot of people barter and trade for stuff they

have UPS deliveries you'll notice that slab city all these little roads are

actually marked and labeled and US Mail UPS FedEx comes out here if you dial

nine-one-one and tell them where you're at they'll ambulance and police will

come out here so it's it's a real place it's not just the middle of the desert

to give you the quickest briefest history of this place possible without

going into details it's an old government property that was

abandoned many decades ago and all that's left are the concrete slabs of

all the buildings throughout the desert hence slab City and it's disputed who

owns the land for four years as far as the state of California or the teachers

board of administrative or something like that but either way no matter every

year they talk about kicking everybody out and not letting people live here and

it just never happens just decades and decades now people living out here for

free but what that said they actually closed down the rest area about 16 miles

away from here it was a rest area where he could get drinking water and a free

dump station and I feel that when that was open free to dump your waste ever

since they closed that down years ago people started turning this place into a

cesspool and just dumping their tanks everywhere right where they live so

that's unfortunate anyway let's get back on the road you can probably imagine

solar is pretty popular out here as far as powering things but if you don't want

to have to leave once a week to go dump your tanks there are alternatives you

know people bring portable tanks and then load them onto a second vehicle a

truck or something there's also a couple services here who fill up water and they

give you the big 100 gallon square containers and then they just come swap

those out once a week or 55 gallon water things you could you can sign up for

that and pay a fee to have them come out and give you water or come to come pump

your as well just another option here is one

of many slabs City community bulletin boards find all sorts of stuff from

advertising work to stuff for sale to missing people the son works over there

I'm not a hundred percent sure what that is but there are a few paid solar cafes

with internet out here but AT&T Verizon work really well and those of us with

hotspot devices that we pay for Wi-Fi it works great out here just know us TV

stations gonna get about 26 Mexican stations but no us free over-the-air TV

like I say most people out here more than 50 percent of the people out here

do not want to be bothered at all but some welcome it like this individual

here with a sign out front that says all welcome looked at his trailer look at

his property here look at how he has decorated this truck every detail look

at that

oh my goodness look at this truck guys there is everything on this truck I mean

it's just gonna sit here and wither away anyway why not turn it into art right

that's exactly what this gentleman has done you will find Morden this than you

know what to do with it slab city I mean sure yeah you could go to Joshua

Tree and I'm sure it's a beautiful part and never been there before but you come

to slab city and see the shoe tree not all shoes get to stay on the branches

that's right it has to be a good shoe to make it stay a strong shoe art it's hard

to tell sometimes if some camps are abandoned or if they just always live

like this yeah I don't know then that's why some people are scared to even pick

up trash because it could be someone's treasures it could be their home that

could be out doing something and they'll be back but you don't enter anybody's

camp unless it unless there's something sign that says come on in which reminds

me you know I want to relax I'm hanging out with some good people back at camp

so there is a chance that I may not be shooting a video out every other day you

guys let me know I've been here before I filmed here three years ago and there's

lots of other people filming here so let me know in the comments below what you

guys want me to do I'm not gonna be on the road for probably a week though so I

can keep it fresh as much as possible or just share some more a Jackson eyes life

in the desert here other than that and just hanging out having a good time guys

enjoying being parked for once and of course no trip to slab city is complete

without visiting Salvation Mountain here you're something special for you guys

they are expanding Salvation Mountain no okay the creator of this has passed away

but his legend clearly continues to grow here at slab city with the Adobe and

acrylic paint yeah pretty colorful and lots and lots of detail look they even

color the scooters here that's right and these vehicles will never run or move

again so they turn it into art

jeez

so how much time do you have on your hands a slab city well enough time to

make a replica version of Salvation Mountain mini mm-hmm

something about all the the bright colors just really makes me smile though

never gets old yes they still accept donations of paint in case you want to

help contribute sign asking you to stay on the yellow brick road so we'll do

that check out all the little caves in here oh my gosh

it's like a cheaper version of a Disney almost almost

just doze and goes

♪ TRIBAL TRAILS TRIBAL TRAILS

THE SON OF GOD HE IS NEAR

HE CHOSE TO WALK WITH US THESE TRIBAL TRAILS

Rita: WELCOME TO TRIBAL TRAILS. WE ARE VERY GLAD THAT YOU'RE JOINING US TODAY.

WE HAVE A VERY SPECIAL GUEST ON OUR PROGRAM AND HIS NAME IS PASCAL ADAM.

AND HE LIVES IN ABBOTSFORD. SO GLAD YOU COULD MAKE TIME AND BE WITH US TODAY PASCAL.

Pascal: THANK YOU, RITA.

Rita: DO YOU WANT TO TELL ME A LITTLE BIT OF WHERE YOU'RE FROM?.

Pascal: YES, AS- FOR THE LAST EIGHT YEARS WE'VE BEEN LIVING IN ABBOTSFORD

AND MY MAIN POSITION THERE IS TO DO PRISON MINISTRY. WE WORK IN AH.

PROBABLY MOST OF THE FEDERAL PRISONS THERE.

ORIGINALLY I COME FROM THE INTERIOR WILLIAMS LAKE AREA.

MY RESERVE IS CALLED CANOE CREEK.

Rita: GOOD OK, YOUR FAMILY IS THERE?

Pascal: AH, YEAH, MY MOM AND DAD AND FOSTER PARENTS

HAVE BOTH PASSED AWAY, ALL OF THEM. IT'S BEEN A TRYING FEW YEARS BECAUSE

THEY HAVE BEEN- SEEMS, SEEMS LIKE THEY BEEN PASSING AWAY FAIRLY CLOSE TOGETHER.

Rita: YOU MENTIONED YOUR FOSTER PARENTS, WERE YOU RAISED IN A FOSTER HOME THEN?

Pascal: YEAH, IT WAS, I WAS KIND OF...

IT'S BEEN A REALLY STRANGE SITUATION FOR ME BECAUSE MY MY AH UM

MY FATHER WAS A FAIRLY UM HEAVY ALCOHOLIC AND UM

WHEN MY MOM GOT PREGNANT WITH ME. DAD SAID TO MOM,

"YOU'VE BEEN UNFAITHFUL. I DON'T WANT THIS CHILD WHEN IT'S BORN". SO

MY GRANDMOTHER WAS A WAS PROBABLY THE MATRIARCH OF OUR FAMILY,

BECAUSE SHE HEARD THE CONVERSATION AND BECAUSE MY MOM WAS SUCH A YOUNG WOMAN.

MY GRANDMA MIDWIFED HER AND THEN WHEN SHE WAS STRONG ENOUGH TO WALK

MY GRANDMOTHER MARCHED HER TO THE DOOR AND TOLD HER SHE WASN'T WELCOME ANYMORE.

Rita: AWW

Pascal: SO AND I STAYED WITH MY GRANDMOTHER UNTIL I WAS NINE YEARS OLD

WHEN SHE PASSED AWAY AND THEN I WENT TO LIVE WITH MY AUNTIE AND UNCLE.

SO THAT'S WHERE THE FOSTER PARENTS COME IN TO PLAY.

Rita: AH OK, SO YOU WERE RAISED IN WILLIAMS LAKE?

Pascal: I WAS RAISED AT A SMALL RESERVE CALLED CANOE CREEK.

Rita: AH OK

Pascal: AND UM I ALWAYS KNEW THAT THERE WAS A GOD, MY,

MY GRANDMOTHER WAS A DEVOUT CATHOLIC, BUT SHE TALKED ABOUT THE WORD OF GOD.

SHE TALKED ABOUT GOD IN A PERSONAL WAY AND

THE FUNNY THING IS, WHEN WHEN I WAS JUST A SMALL CHILD. SHE WOULD

SHE WOULD TAKE ME TO CHURCH AND LITERALLY I MEAN TAKE ME TO CHURCH.

IT WAS LIKE IF I RESISTED UM

I ALWAYS SAY THAT ONE OF MY EARLOBES ARE LONGER THAN THE OTHER

BECAUSE SHE WOULD TAKE, TAKE ME BY THE EAR. AND WE WENT TO CHURCH TOGETHER

BECAUSE I HAD TO FOLLOW THAT EAR. SO ANYHOW,

LIKE I SAID, I ALWAYS KNEW THAT THERE WAS A GOD AND UM.

YET I REJECTED GOD, VERY EARLY IN LIFE, AND

THE MAIN REASON I GUESS FOR THE REJECTION OF GOD WAS THE RESIDENTIAL SCHOOL STUFF.

I WAS AT THE KAMLOOPS INDIAN RESIDENTIAL SCHOOL JUST DOWN THE STREET HERE.

THANKFULLY I WASN'T THERE LONG ENOUGH

TO REALLY FEEL, YOU KNOW, MORE OF THE WRATH THAT HAPPENED THERE.

AND MY FOSTER MOM FOUND OUT THAT THERE WAS ABUSE.

SO SHE TOOK ME OUT OF THE SCHOOL WHEN I WAS LIKE 11 OR 12 YEARS OLD AND AH.

STILL, IT WAS ENOUGH TIME IN THERE FOR ME TO BE BITTER AND MORE REJECTING OF THE BIBLE

MORE REJECTING OF CHRISTIANS. SO I TURNED AWAY AT A VERY YOUNG AGE

AND REFUSED TO DO ANYTHING WITH CHRISTIANITY.

Rita: AND HOW DID THAT WORK IN YOUR LIFE?

Pascal: AS I SAID, I ALWAYS KNEW IN THE BACK OF MY MIND THAT THERE WAS

THERE WAS A GOD, AND DIDN'T REALIZE THAT HE TRULY WAS A LOVING GOD UNTIL LATER ON.

EVEN THOUGH I WAS STILL QUITE YOUNG WHEN I HEARD THAT JESUS LOVED ME.

I ALWAYS ASSUMED THAT PART OF MY REJECTION OF GOD WAS

IF HE'S A LOVING GOD, WHY DID HE ALLOW ALL OF THE NEGATIVES BY THAT TIME I KNEW

THAT MY MY FATHER HAD REJECTED ME AND MOM COULDN'T HAVE ME

ALL OF THOSE THINGS WERE KIND OF BUILDING UP IN MY LIFE.

I JUST GOT REALLY BITTER AND HARDENED.

I GUESS IF YOU WANT TO SAY I HAD A HARDENED HEART. THAT'S WHAT IT WAS, YOU KNOW

I TRULY DIDN'T THINK, EVEN THOUGH I KNEW THERE WAS A GOD.

I SURELY DIDN'T WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH GOD

AND THE STRANGE THING WAS

I FOUND IT SO HARD AND AND I STARTED TO LIVE SUCH A NEGATIVE LIFE I WAS.

I TURNED TO ALCOHOL BY THE TIME I WAS 11 YEARS OLD.

IF I DIE AND I NEVER THOUGHT I'D LIVE BEYOND 30 YEARS OLD.

I FIGURED YOU KNOW HEY, IF I PASS AWAY AT A YOUNG AGE THAT'S OK TOO,

BECAUSE I DIDN'T SEEM TO REALLY HAVE MUCH DIRECTION,

EXCEPT I WAS ALL THE NEGATIVES I WAS DOING SO.

I EVEN HAD THIS REAL SILLY IDEA THAT I KNEW THAT THE DEVIL EXISTED AS WELL.

I KNEW THAT THERE WAS A HEAVEN AND THERE WAS A HELL

AND I THOUGHT OKAY, IF I PASS AWAY BEFORE I'M 30 YEARS OLD WHEN I GO DOWN TO

THE OTHER SIDE WHERE THE PLACE CALLED HELL IS. I SAID,

"I WAS GONNA SAY SAY TO THIS TO THE DEVIL HIMSELF, YOU KNOW,

"HEY, LOOK AT ALL I'VE DONE FOR YOU. WHY DON'T I HAVE SOME STATUS IN HELL."

SO YOU KNOW IT WAS KIND, REALLY WEIRD CONCEPT... Rita: TWISTED

Pascal: TWISTED THINKING AND UM.

Rita: THAT HAPPENS WHEN WE REJECT THE LORD.

Narrator: THE LORD LOOKS DOWN FROM HEAVEN UPON THE CHILDREN OF MEN,

TO SEE IF THERE ARE ANY WHO UNDERSTAND, WHO SEEK GOD. THEY HAVE ALL TURNED ASIDE,

THEY HAVE TOGETHER BECOME CORRUPT; THERE IS NONE WHO DOES GOOD, NO, NOT ONE.

HAVE ALL THE WORKERS OF INIQUITY NO KNOWLEDGE,

WHO EAT UP MY PEOPLE AS THEY EAT BREAD, AND DO NOT CALL ON THE LORD?

THERE THEY ARE IN GREAT FEAR, FOR GOD IS WITH THE GENERATION OF THE RIGHTEOUS.

Pascal: ONE OF THE FIRST PEOPLE I MET WAS OVER HERE ON SEYMOUR ST. IN KAMLOOPS ANDA

HE WAS A CO-STUDENT OF MINE THAT WENT TO THE RESIDENTIAL SCHOOL AND

HE CAME TO ME WITH A SMALL GIDEONS BIBLE.

ONE OF THE NEW TESTAMENTS THAT GIDEONS PUT OUT.

AND HE WAS THE FIRST PERSON REALLY KINDA OPENED MY EYES THAT JESUS WAS LOVING AND UH.

BUT BECAUSE OF MY MY ANIMOSITY TOWARDS CHRISTIANS

AND CHRISTIANITY AND ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE BIBLE.

WHEN HE FIRST TOLD ME, HE SAYS PASCAL, HE SAYS UH

I FOUND SOMETHING I WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT IT

THAT JESUS LOVES YOU AND I SAYS,

"BUDDY IF YOU'RE NOT OUT OF SIGHT AROUND THE CORNER BY THE TIME I FINISHED SPEAKING,

I'M GOING TO HURT YOU", BECAUSE THAT'S HOW CALLOUS I WAS. AND AH.

HE BELIEVED ME, I GUESS BECAUSE HE RAN AWAY

SO I REALLY APPRECIATE THAT PERSON TODAY BECAUSE I THINK HE OPENED THE DOORS.

FIRST OF ALL, TO MY HEART THAT YES, JESUS DOES LOVE ME

AND AS I SAID, I BELIEVED ALL THE TIME THAT HE WAS A LOVING GOD,

AND YET I REJECTED IT BECAUSE I THOUGHT

HOW COULD SOMEBODY THAT LOVES YOU ALLOW THE NEGATIVES IN YOUR LIFE SO LONG.

SO TO ME IT WAS KIND OF A

AN EYE-OPENER AND YET IT KIND OF DROVE ME AWAY A LITTLE FURTHER.

ONE THING I APPRECIATE THOUGH THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE THING IS THAT WAS ONLY THE BEGINNING.

I STARTED TO BUMP INTO CHRISTIANS ALMOST EVERYWHERE I WENT.

EVEN THOUGH I WAS LOTS OF TIMES IN THE STATE OF ALCOHOLISM. I WAS DRINKING.

I WAS DRUNK. PEOPLE WOULD COME TO ME AND LET ME KNOW THAT GOD LOVED ME AND UM.

I ACCEPTED CHRIST NOVEMBER 1ST, OF 1980.

Rita: DO WANT TO TELL ME LITTLE BIT ABOUT THAT

Pascal: YEAH Rita: HOW THAT HAPPENED?

Pascal: AGAIN. I MEAN LIKE I SAID, YOU KNOW, I THINK WHEN YOU'RE RUNNING AWAY FROM GOD,

YOU JUST GO INTO MANY DIFFERENT PLACES.

I ENDED UP INCARCERATED FOR, I THINK I WAS IMPAIRED, IMPAIRED DRIVING AND

I WAS IN THE PRISON AT PRINCE GEORGE REGIONAL CORRECTIONAL CENTRE

AND THERE WAS ONE STAFF MEMBER WHO WAS TOLD BY THE HIGHER UP AUTHORITIES

THAT HE WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE SHARING CHRIST WITH PEOPLE

BECAUSE HE WAS A BORN AGAIN BELIEVER, BUT I REALLY THANK GOD FOR HIM

BECAUSE HE WAS BREAKING THE RULES, NOT ONLY FOR HIMSELF BUT FOR ME AS WELL

HE WOULD COME TO ME AND SAY, "PASCAL, JESUS LOVES YOU" AND AH

I GUESS YOU COULD SAY I WAS A CAPTIVE AUDIENCE

BECAUSE I COULDN'T RUN FROM THIS PERSON,

AND ONE DAY I SAID TO MY ONE OF MY PEERS. I SAYS,

"I'VE GOT TO GET AWAY FROM THIS PERSON."

BECAUSE I THINK I WAS REALLY GETTING CLOSE TO ACCEPTING CHRIST.

SO MY FRIEND WHO WAS ALSO IN PRISON WITH ME SAID,

"YOU KNOW WHAT, THERE'S TREATMENT CENTRE DOWNTOWN CALLED TREATMENT NORTH

IN PRINCE GEORGE. IF YOU ASK FOR AN APPLICATION THEY WILL GIVE YOU AN APPLICATION AND

LET YOU GO THERE BECAUSE DEFINITELY YOU ARE AN ALCOHOLIC."

BECAUSE I WAS IN THE PRISON FOR DRUNK DRIVING.

SO I FILLED OUT THE APPLICATION, HERE I GO I'M RUNNING AWAY AGAIN,

NOT EVEN A WEEK AFTER I GOT TO THE TREATMENT CENTRE. THERE WAS A LADY THERE.

SHE WAS THE JANITOR AND SHE WAS ALSO THE COOK FOR THE TREATMENT CENTRE,

BUT FURTHERMORE SHE WAS A BELIEVER IN CHRIST.

SO ANYWAY, SHE CAME ONE DAY AND SHE SAYS, "PASCAL, MY BROTHERS AND I ARE HAVING

A BIBLE STUDY AND WE'RE GOING BE USING ONE OF THE ROOMS IN THE BACK HERE." AND

SHE SAYS, "I WOULD LIKE YOU TO COME." BUT I SAID, "SORRY, I AM NOT GOING TO GO.

I DON'T REALLY WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH CHRISTIANITY." I WAS QUITE HONEST WITH HER

SO I SAT IN THE DAY ROOM AND I WAS LISTENING TO THEM SINGING "AMAZING GRACE"

IN THE BACK ROOM. AND I GOT SO ANGRY I WENT AND HIT THE SWITCH ON THE TV AND

I WAS GOING TO RUN AWAY TO GO TO MY ROOM AND FOR SOME REASON OR ANOTHER

I COULDN'T CLIMB THE STAIRS TO GO UP THERE. I JUST IT'S LIKE-

MUST BE THE HOLY SPIRIT THAT TOOK ME BY THE ELBOW AND BY THE HAND

AND JUST TOOK ME RIGHT IN AND I SAT BESIDE HER,

AND IT WAS THE ONLY CHAIR AVAILABLE IN THE ROOM

WHERE THEY WERE HAVING A BIBLE STUDY. AND THIS LADY HAVE I FOUND IT SO PROFOUND

BECAUSE WHEN I WALKED IN, SHE STARTED TO CRY.

AND SHE SAYS PASCAL, "YOU CAME. YOU CAME."

AND I SAID, "YEAH HERE I AM. DON'T ASK ME WHY, BUT I'M HERE."

AND SHE DIDN'T PULL ANY PUNCHES. SHE SAYS, "I'LL TELL YOU WHY, PASCAL,

YOU NEED TO ASKED JESUS INTO YOUR LIFE AS YOUR PERSONAL LORD AND SAVIOUR",

SO I GUESS, YEAH I GUESS THIS IS WHY I'M HERE. I SAID, "TELL ME WHAT TO DO".

SO SHE OPENED THE SCRIPTURES AND STARTED READING FROM DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE BIBLE

AND THEN SHE- SHE BASICALLY HELPED ME WITH THE SINNER'S PRAYER.

AND THE PROFOUND THING THAT SHE TOLD ME TO DO AND

I DON'T EVEN HAVE TO THINK ABOUT IT ANYMORE BECAUSE SHE SAYS I WANT YOU-

SHE GAVE ME A BIBLE TO TAKE WITH ME AND SHE SAYS, "WRITE THE DATE, TODAY'S DATE IN IT

AND THE TIME AND THE YEAR THAT YOU ACCEPTED CHRIST IN THIS BIBLE."

AND I DID THAT FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS BECAUSE I CHANGED BIBLES QUITE A FEW TIMES

BUT NOW I KNOW IT IN MY MIND EXACTLY THE TIME, THE DATE AND EVERYTHING,

IT WAS NOVEMBER 1ST OF 1980.

Rita: WHAT DID YOU THINK, WHEN YOU GOT BACK TO YOUR ROOM?

Pascal: I WASN'T DOING MUCH THINKING. IT WAS KIND OF LIKE

FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME BECAUSE I HAD THE BIBLE THAT SHE GAVE TO ME.

I REMEMBER KNEELING BESIDE MY BED AND I OPENED THE WORD,

THE NEW TESTAMENT AND I READ THROUGH THE FOUR GOSPELS,

BUT IT WAS JUST ALMOST LIKE AN INSTANTANEOUS THING. I WAS SO THIRSTY FOR THE WORD.

I READ MATTHEW, MARK, LUKE AND JOHN IN ABOUT, MAYBE THREE OR FOUR HOURS

AND THEN I WANTED TO FIND OUT MORE ABOUT WHAT IT SAID. SO I READ MORE.

SO TO ME IT WASN'T NECESSARILY THAT I WAS THINKING ABOUT IT.

IT WAS JUST SOMETHING NATURAL THAT I WAS MISSING. I WANTED TO KNOW GOD'S WORD.

Rita: SO WHAT HAPPENED IN YOUR LIFE AFTER THAT?

Pascal: WELL, SHORTLY AFTER I AND AGAIN I MEAN GOD ALWAYS WORKS IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS,

BECAUSE I LEFT THE TREATMENT CENTRE. I CAME BACK TO MY MOM'S HOUSE

AND I STARTED HELPING HER PAYING RENT. I WAS RENTING A ROOM IN THE BASEMENT AND

I THOUGHT OKAY WELL WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN TO ME NOW,

NOT REALLY KNOWING ANYTHING ABOUT GOD'S WAY OF WORKING, BUT

THERE WAS A MISSIONARY WITH AH, USED TO BE CALLED ARCTIC MISSIONS BACK THEN.

AND HE LIVED AT CANIM LAKE AND IT WASN'T EVEN LIKE FOUR, FIVE DAYS AFTER I WAS HOME

AND SOMEBODY KNOCKED ON MY MOM'S DOOR, AND

I WENT AND I OPENED IN AND HERE THIS PERSON STANDING OUT THERE.

AND HE INTRODUCED HIMSELF AS DICK BROWNING AND THAT HE WAS A MISSIONARY

WORKING IN THE AREA AND HE WOULD LIKE TO TALK TO ME. AND HE SAID,

"CAN I HAVE A BIBLE STUDY IN YOUR HOUSE?"

I SAYS, "WELL, I HAVEN'T GOT THE AUTHORITY TO SAY THAT, I'M RENTING A PLACE HERE

BUT IF YOU ASKED MY MOM WHO'S SITTING IN THE LIVING ROOM"

I SAYS, "IF SHE SAYS, "YES" THEN WE WILL."

AND HE SAYS, "CAN I COME IN?" SO I CALL HIM INTO THE HOUSE AND

HE INTRODUCED HIMSELF AND HE ASKED MY MOM LIELA, "OKAY, CAN WE HAVE A BIBLE STUDY?"

AND I WAS AMAZED BECAUSE MY MOM SAYS, "YEA, I'D LIKE THAT."

SO WE BEGAN TO GET INTO THE WORD AND AH

IT WAS A BIT OF MY TESTIMONY AND THE THE BROWNINGS COMING TO DO THE BIBLE STUDY

AND ME TRYING TO CONVINCE MY MOM AND DAD THAT THAT THEY NEEDED TO ACCEPT CHRIST TOO.

BUT THEY REJECTED THE WORD THEY REJECT- WHEN THEY REJECTED JESUS, I THOUGHT,

OKAY THEY'RE REJECTING ME. SO I WENT BACK AND I STARTED DRINKING.

I SAT, I WAS SITTING IN THE EXETER ARMS. I'D BOUGHT A WHOLE TABLE FULL OF BEER,

AND I WAS SITTING THERE DRINKING AND I WAS QUITE DRUNK

AND I GUESS MY MOM WONDERED WHERE I WAS, SO SHE CAME LOOKING. AND

SHE KNEW WHERE TO FIND ME BECAUSE SHE WALKED STRAIGHT TO MY TABLE AND SHE SAYS,

"WHAT'S GOING ON?" SO SHE SAYS, "I WANT YOU TO COME HOME!"

SO I SAYS, "OKAY." AND I HAD A FRIEND SITTING WITH ME. AND I SAID, "THIS IS ALL YOURS."

I THREW A FEW MORE DOLLARS ON THE TABLE. AND I SAID, "BUY SOME MORE WHEN YOU'RE DONE."

BUT ANYWAY, I WENT HOME WITH HER AND THEN IT WAS EITHER THAT SAME DAY,

OR THE DAY AFTER THAT SHE PRAYED TO ACCEPT CHRIST AS HER LORD AND SAVIOUR.

♪ I MAY NOT BE RICH. DON'T WEAR FASHION CLOTHES.

DON'T LIVE IN A MANSION. DON'T HAVE MUCH THAT SHOWS.

NEVER WON A CONTEST IN POPULARITY.

DON'T HAVE MUCH TO OFFER. BUT JESUS LOVES ME.

I'M ACCEPTED, ACCEPTED.

I'M ACCEPTED BY THE ONE WHO MATTERS MOST.

NEVER SET A RECORD IN SPORTS AGILITY.

NEVER WAS MAGNETIC IN PERSONALITY.

THAT DON'T REALLY MATTER. I'LL DO THE BEST I CAN.

'CAUSE THERE'S A GOD ABOVE ME. WHO LOVES ME LIKE I AM.

I'M ACCEPTED, ACCEPTED.

I'M ACCEPTED BY THE ONE WHO MATTERS MOST.

IF YOU THINK YOU'RE A LOSER. WHEN YOU FAIL IT SEEMS AT EVERYTHING YOU DO.

JUST REMEMBER THERE'S A SAVIOUR.

AND YOU ARE WORTH ENOUGH. HE GAVE HIS LIFE FOR YOU.

I'M ACCEPTED, ACCEPTED.

I'M ACCEPTED BY THE ONE WHO MATTERS MOST.

HE'LL ACCEPT YOU, HE LOVES YOU.

HE'S THE ONE WHO MATTERS MOST.

Pascal: THE FUNNY THING WAS I'D WORK FOR A RANCHER THAT THAT WAS A BORN AGAIN

BELIEVER AND THE SAME MISSIONARY THAT CAME TO THE HOUSE TO DO A BIBLE STUDY

ACTUALLY KNEW THAT I WAS LOOKING FOR WORK. SO HE DROVE OUT TO THE RANCH,

AND HE SAID TO THE RANCHER, "I HAVE A PERSON THAT WOULD LIKE TO COME TO WORK." AND

THE RANCHER KNEW THAT I HAD A BAD HISTORY BECAUSE I HAD WORKED FOR HIM BEFORE,

BUT DICK BASICALLY SAID TO HIM,

"YOU KNOW WHAT, PASCAL IS A BELIEVER NOW AND HE NEEDS SOME GOOD SOLID FOUNDATION."

AND BECAUSE HE WAS A BELIEVER. HE SAID,

"OKAY WERE GOING TO GIVE HIM ANOTHER CHANCE." SO

THEY ACCEPTED ME TO COME BACK TO WORK FOR HIM,

AND WE USED TO HAVE A BIBLE STUDY AT HIS PLACE AS WELL AS THE GANG RANCH, AND

HE WAS THE PERSON THAT REALLY GAVE ME A GOOD PUSH IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION

BECAUSE I ENDED UP AT THE NATIVE BIBLE CENTRE IN QUESNEL,

AND I DONE FINISHED TWO YEARS OF BIBLE SCHOOL THERE

AND THEN AFTER THAT I DONE ONE YEAR OF CHURCH PLANTING WITH DICK BROWNING.

SO THE FOUNDATION WAS SLOWLY BEING BUILT

AND I STARTED TO REALIZE THAT THERE WAS A MUCH BETTER LIFE FOR ME.

Conrad: WE KNOW THAT IT IS IMPORTANT TO FOLLOW CHRIST IN OUR DAILY WALK,

BUT SOMETIMES WE DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO.

PASCAL HAD FELT REJECTION WHEN HIS PARENTS DID NOT FOLLOW GOD,

HE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO, SO HE WENT BACK TO THE BAR.

JUST LIKE PETER, AFTER HE DENIED JESUS THREE TIMES, HE WENT BACK TO FISHING.

WHAT ELSE IS THERE TO DO? HOWARD SANG ABOUT BEING ACCEPTED.

IN GOD'S PLAN THERE IS A PLACE FOR US TO SERVE HIM.

AS WE SAW IN PASCAL'S LIFE, GOD STARTED MAKING CHANGES. PASCAL GOT A JOB,

HE STARTED TO GO TO SCHOOL, AND SLOWLY THE FOUNDATION WAS BEING BUILT.

GOD WANTS TO BUILD EACH OF US UP. BUT WE HAVE TO START BY DOING WHAT HE ASKS US TO DO!

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THIS, GIVE US A CALL.

WE WOULD BE GLAD TO TALK WITH YOU AND ENCOURAGE YOU IN YOUR WALK WITH GOD.

Pascal: SO I BEGAN TO REALIZE THAT- A LOT OF MY HISTORY COULD SAY,

"YOU KNOW WHAT, I WAS LIKE THIS, BUT HERE I AM WALKING WITH JESUS NOW

AND THESE THINGS ARE DIFFERENT FOR ME."

Rita: I THINK ALSO IT REFLECTS THE GLORY OF GOD.

Pascal: THAT'S RIGHT, Rita: AND HIS MERCY. Pascal: THAT'S RIGHT,

Rita: AND THAT HE DOESN'T WAIT TO CLEAN US UP. BUT HE,

HE LOVES US JUST THE WAY WE ARE. WE CAN COME TO CHRIST.

Pascal: ISN'T THAT GREAT? Rita: YEAH, THAT'S SO GREAT! HIS MERCY IS SO GREAT.

Pascal: AGAIN LIKE WITH MY BACKGROUND, I STARTED TO THINK, YOU KNOW,

NOBODY'S GONNA ACCEPT ME, YOU KNOW, I'VE DONE SO MANY BAD THINGS,

BUT IT DOES MATTER WHAT PEOPLE THINK OF ME. BUT THE REAL MATTER IS-

Rita: THAT JESUS LOVES ME Pascal: THAT JESUS LOVES ME

AND HE TAKES ME AS YOU SAID, "AS WE ARE." LIKE WE DON'T HAVE TO PROVE TO HIM

THAT WE'RE A GOOD PERSON THAT WE CAN DO ALL THINGS REALLY WELL.

Narrator: THEREFORE, IF ANYONE IS IN CHRIST, HE IS A NEW CREATION;

OLD THINGS HAVE PASSED AWAY; BEHOLD, ALL THINGS HAVE BECOME NEW.

Pascal: BUT THANKFULLY I FOUND A MISSION WHERE I REALLY FIT IN AND-

FOR THE LAST 20 YEARS, I GUESS I'VE BEEN WORKING WITH THE PRISON MINISTRY.

I GO IN AND I SHARE MY STORY WITH PRISONERS AND

MY WIFE HELPS HELPS ME AS WELL BY TAKING GUYS FROM THE PRISON

TO THEIR HOME FROM THE PRISON TO CHURCH AND ALL KINDS OF STUFF LIKE THAT.

Rita: TELL ME A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THAT MINISTRY. WHAT IS IT?

Pascal: BASICALLY OUR ORGANIZATION IS CALLED THE M2W2 AND WE'VE JUST RECENTLY

STARTED TO WORK ON CHANGING THE NAME. IT USED TO BE A SPONSORSHIP MINISTRY,

BUT NOW WE'VE DECIDED TO CALL THE M2W2 ASSOCIATION A MENTORSHIP MINISTRY.

Rita: SO WHAT DOES, WHAT DOES W2 MEAN?

Pascal: OKAY BASICALLY I'LL GIVE YOU THE WHOLE SCENARIO HERE. M2 MEANS MAN-TO-MAN

AND W-2 MEANS WOMAN TO WOMAN,

SO WE'VE GOT VOLUNTEER PEOPLE THAT WORK FOR BOTH WITH WITH MEN IN THE MEN'S INSTITUTIONS

AS WELL AS WOMEN WORKING WITH THE WOMEN'S PRISON WITH THE INMATES IN BOTH PLACES.

AND YES, I AM WORKING WITH FIRST NATIONS PEOPLE THERE AS WELL AND

IT TOOK ALMOST EIGHT YEARS FOR

FOR MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS MEETING THE NATIVE PEOPLE TO COME

AND REALLY COME AND TALK TO ME

BECAUSE THERE'S A LACK OF TRUST, YOU KNOW

THEY'VE BEEN REJECTED BEEN REJECTED AND REJECTED AGAIN. Rita: AND HURT.

Pascal: I GET REALLY EXCITED. AND AS I EXPLAINED EARLIER THIS THIS SCRIPTURE

PROBABLY HAS BEEN MY FAVOURITE SCRIPTURE

SINCE I ACCEPTED CHRIST, NOVEMBER 1ST OF 1980.

AND IT WASN'T RIGHT AWAY AS AS I BEGAN TO READ AND UNDERSTAND MORE

IN ROMANS CHAPTER 8 AND VERSE 28, IT SAYS,

AND WE KNOW THAT GOD CAUSES ALL THINGS TO WORK TOGETHER FOR THOSE WHO LOVE GOD

AND TO THOSE WHO ARE CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE

ONE OF THE THINGS THAT I REALLY REALIZED BASICALLY IS THAT

EVEN THOUGH I WAS RUNNING, IS THAT GOD WAS CALLING TO ME, YOU KNOW.

HE SAYS, "PASCAL I LOVE YOU!" THROUGH PEOPLE

AND LATER ON THROUGH THE WORD, I FOUND OUT THAT HE LOVES ME A LOT.

HE LOVES ME SO MUCH THAT HE GAVE HIMSELF ON THE CROSS FOR ME FOR PASCAL

AND I ALSO REALIZE THAT EVEN IF I WAS THE ONLY PERSON ON THIS WORLD

DOING NEGATIVE STUFF THAT HE WAS. HE HAS GIVEN HIMSELF UP ON THE CROSS FOR ME.

BUT FURTHERMORE HE LIVES FOR ME AS WELL,

AND THOSE WHO ARE CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE

AND I REALLY APPRECIATE THIS WHOLE FEW VERSES BECAUSE IT KINDA SEEMS LIKE

A STEPPING STONE TO A BETTER SITUATION ALL ALONG.

Conrad: THANKS PASCAL FOR SHARING YOUR STORY WITH US TODAY.

AND YES OUR LIFE HAS MANY STEPPING STONES TO WALK ON AS WE DRAW CLOSER TO GOD.

I HOPE IN YOUR LIFE THAT YOU ARE GETTING CLOSER TO GOD.

I already miss you but I'm trying not to

I'll remember you like

A warm spring in a movie

The love scenario that we made

Now the lights are off

When you flip the last page

The curtains will quietly fall

We went through pain

We got jealous too, so funny

We loved like crazy

That's good enough for us

We were in love

We met

That's good enough

I loved you

Tree and I'm sure it's a beautiful part and never been there before but you come

to slab city and see the shoe tree not all shoes get to stay on the branches

that's right it has to be a good shoe to make it stay a strong shoe art it's hard

to tell sometimes if some camps are abandoned or if they just always live

like this yeah I don't know then that's why some people are scared to even pick

up trash because it could be someone's treasures it could be their home that

could be out doing something and they'll be back but you don't enter anybody's

camp unless it unless there's something sign that says come on in which reminds

me you know I want to relax I'm hanging out with some good people back at camp

so there is a chance that I may not be shooting a video out every other day you

guys let me know I've been here before I filmed here three years ago and there's

lots of other people filming here so let me know in the comments below what you

guys want me to do I'm not gonna be on the road for probably a week though so I

can keep it fresh as much as possible or just share some more a Jackson eyes life

in the desert here other than that and just hanging out having a good time guys

enjoying being parked for once and of course no trip to slab city is complete

without visiting Salvation Mountain here you're something special for you guys

they are expanding Salvation Mountain no okay the creator of this has passed away

but his legend clearly continues to grow here at slab city with the Adobe and

acrylic paint yeah pretty colorful and lots and lots of detail look they even

color the scooters here that's right and these vehicles will never run or move

again so they turn it into art

jeez

so how much time do you have on your hands a slab city well enough time to

make a replica version of Salvation Mountain mini mm-hmm

something about all the the bright colors just really makes me smile though

never gets old yes they still accept donations of paint in case you want to

help contribute sign asking you to stay on the yellow brick road so we'll do

that check out all the little caves in here oh my gosh

it's like a cheaper version of a Disney almost almost

just doze and goes

well it looks like the yellow brick road goes up the mountain I'm doing go for a

walk I don't speak that language but hmm Wow

it just cracks me up here man - cool and here we are on the very very top of

Salvation Mountain everybody quite possibly the strangest thing out here in

the desert well it is believe me by far check it out sometime guys

forever out here do you want to see more of this stuff from slab city

let me know in the comments below if you're sick of it let me know - gonna

head back to camp and that's gonna do it for me guys

this video got too long I am happy I'm safe I am absolutely enjoying the

company out here at slab city and I'll catch back up to you when I can have a

good day guys bye bye
