Insect Repellent That Actually Works? Waging War on Florida's Bugs 🕷️ | JEN TALKS FOREVER - Duration: 7:50.

Hi I'm Jen and I have decided to wage war on all of the bugs in the state of

Florida since we moved back to Florida there's one thing that has not been

awesome and that is the insect population who've decided to make me

their 24-hour fast-food restaurant I've literally been getting eaten alive I

can't even walk out to my car without getting bit up a bunch of times in fact

on the way down here I ended up getting bit by a spider and my foot swelled up I

ended up at Urgent Care kind of a bad situation and it's been really severe

ever since we've been back for the past few weeks I have mosquito bites

everywhere I even have a couple on my face so I've been doing some research

because I cannot live like this I feel like if you want someone to go slowly

and say this is the way to do it make them itchy all the time and let bugs

attack them they will go nuts so I've been doing some research and trying to

find some solutions to my problem now growing up I've always had this problem

camping whatever in fact I would go out to check the mail and get bit like 30

times so historically you know we're used to using off deep woods off and

well it works okay for your everyday life this is not a

good solution it stinks it's kind of sticky like everyone knows you're

wearing bug spray I did wear deep woods off to go to Trader Joe's a few days ago

and it was it was not great so I've been looking around for other options and I

found this small company called Sawyer they make like insect repellant but they

also do other products like water filtration systems that sort of thing

they're based in Safety Harbor so local company and I'm very proud and happy to

support a local business from the Tampa Bay area so I've decided to bring out

the big guns up my game I've purchased not one but two bottles of permethrin

you can spray this on clothing shoes like back

packs tents anything it has insect repelling properties and it lasts up to

six washes or like 42 days which looks promising so I'm gonna give this a try

out someone like clothing maybe some of the clothing items I wear the most

frequently I've also bought something called Picaridin lotion now this I

liked the sound of so I've been reading and apparently DEET while effective also

destroys your stuff which isn't cool so if you spray it on clothing plastic like

his sunglasses backpacks tents it can actually ruin the material so again for

everyday life maybe this isn't the best option because I don't want to go over

to someone's house and link to story their furniture or ruin their stuff you

know this could maybe even ruin my car upholstery who knows so Picaridin is

another chemical I guess it's like a synthetic compound of like the

chrysanthemum I'm not joking it was developed in the 80s and it is safer for

clothing and other materials so I like the fact that it's in a lotion and it

doesn't smell like bug spray so you can wear this a little more discreetly and

hopefully also protect yourself from insects so I will put a little bit of

this on just as a little bit of a demonstration my arms are the thing that

are most getting bit up so let's let's give this stuff of world my husband use

this to go fishing last night but he was not really in an area with a lot of bugs

so he said he didn't really get to test this out but I will be testing this out

over the next few weeks and Oh believe me I will report back if this stuff

works I'll let you know if it sucks I will also let you know and from what I'm

reading the reviews on Amazon are mostly really good but the thing I was seeing

is that like it's like it works really well on the areas you apply it to but if

you miss a spot you'll still get bitten but I like this it comes in many

different forms this picaridin it comes in spray you

get into the spray form you can get it in a they have like really large sizes

of the lotion yeah it doesn't smell terrible this isn't super greasy and it

doesn't feel sticky like again another thing I don't like about off is that it

sticks to everything which is not you know great so I like the idea that this

is like a less obvious form of insect repellent that doesn't smell doesn't get

sticky you know this isn't super greasy feeling it feels just like regular

lotion hey maybe it's moisturizing I don't know so I'm just gonna put a

little this stuff on and I also got the Sawyer sunblock

it's called stay put sunscreen and if you're going out in the Sun I guess

you're supposed to apply the sunscreen first and what's good about this is that

I guess the compounds don't break down as much as other sunscreens do when you

put on your insect repellent so according to the website I was reading

you're supposed to put on the sunblock first I believe and then put on your

insect repellent okay now this is it does say obviously don't eat any of this

stuff so we're gonna give this a whirl I'm gonna see if my arms stay bug free

today I can literally get bit anywhere I could probably even get I've definitely

been getting bit somehow while I'm sleeping which is sort of disturbing so

I mean it's it's definitely been happy alright so we're just gonna put some of

this on since my arms are exposed I can also put this on my neck and maybe on

areas of my face as well yeah it's not super greasy and this really doesn't

have that bug spray smell so so far I am a fan anyways I am totally waging war on

the insects so this is just phase one if I have to go to Phase two I don't even

know what that is yet but I will be reporting back to see if the stuff does

work I do like this product so far I like how it applies but literally on

Amazon you could get a gal an entire gallon of this you can get a half gallon

you can get a quart and it comes with a pump top so if I like

stuff I'm definitely going to be springing for a larger size that I can

like maybe refill this bottle and also have like a bigger size for home use

anyways do you get bit by bugs if you have any good solutions recommendations

for keeping them away let me know these are just starting to heal now so I'm

really hoping I don't get a lot of new bug bites that would be great

who knows anyways I just wanted to share this with you and I will definitely have

an updated video just letting you know how it's going with all of these

products are they working for me and what I think of them because clearly

this is a big priority otherwise I'm just gonna get eaten alive by bugs

BEHIND THE SCENES Travel Vlog // Peak Hill, NZ - Duration: 10:06.

Hello everyone!

I'm with my friend Ryan.

Hey Mari's vlog!

He's like a real videographer.

He's good. If you don't know his channel you should check it out.

It's called The Path Less Traveled. Just lots of travel videos about New Zealand and the rest of the

world. Yeah. Kind of like what Mari does, but a bit different.

Yeah, pretty cool. He's from Canada

but living in Christchurch. So we can be expats together. Today we're on a walk out

near Lake Coleridge in Canterbury and we're going up

It's called Peak Hill and it's

a walk that I've wanted to do for a while, so I'm pretty excited. It's supposed

to have some nice views and hopefully we're going to get a good sunset.

Fingers crossed! But yeah, a little adventure.

The views are already really epic. Also because it's just like uphill the

whole way.

I guess that's typically what happens when

you walk up a mountain but, or a hill.

Let's ask Ryan a question.

My top tip if you want to be better on video, is to take more video.

Stop doing research on lenses, stop

doing research on color grading and just go out there and just make stuff. All the time.

Good tip. My top tip would be something that I'm really bad at and that's to have

good audio. Actually I was filming that and I was like ooh it's windy, we probably

can't hear anything that he's saying. But he is prepared - oh look, you can't tell

but that's a microphone. Because he is shooting a video that's gonna be on his

channel, so you're gonna have to check that one out.

Audio makes a really big difference so don't be like me, have good audio.

Very beautiful views from there and we're not at the top yet, so I'm looking

forward to the top.

to Christchurch.

We're almost back and we're in the sheep paddock and they just

started trying to run towards us. I got so afraid.

It like sounds like a stampede. Guess it kind of is.

It's really weird when, I don't know if anyone else if you do videos, but I feel

very comfortable talking to a camera when I'm holding it, but when someone else is

holding it I'm like... eermmm awkward. What do I do?

He has a lot of gear. He's gonna set it up. Some more behind the scenes.

Okay, one camera, two cameras, and we have a light.

So what series are you shooting, man?

It's called, Why We Travel. The whole idea behind series is like talking to

people who enjoy traveling and find out how travel has kind of impacted them.

We just finished filming. This feels very professional. I think I was pretty

awkward, but you'll have to watch Ryan's video to find see for yourself

So his channel name is called The Path Less Traveled, do you want to talk about where

you got that inspiration from and why you call yourself that?

So The Path Less Traveled is kind of the way that I want to live my life. So first of

all I want to take people to places that no one else has been or very few

people have been, in a traveling sense and also to destinations that people often

go to but show them new places in those destinations. So on the travel side of things

it's quite literally taking the path less traveled, but on a higher level it's

kind of about doing things that people other people aren't willing to do, so

that you can live optimally. So that you can be the best version of you. I'm trying to

grow the channel into more of a holistic, all-encompassing thing of you know,

pursuing your own dreams and taking your own path, but travel is a huge part of

that for me too.

Sweet, that's awesome. That's something that I feel really into

as well. Trying to be the best version of you as possible. To be your most

authentic self, that's one reason why I started doing YouTube and also when I

started doing chalkboard art, I was like I just wanted to do I like to do, so

yeah I think when you see other people being the best versions of themselves

it's like intoxicating. You're like, oh yeah, I wanna be like that too.

going over this new feature that Facebook just rolled out that allows us

to all be able to spy on our competitors Facebook Ads what does this mean for you

in regards to Shopify dropshipping now that all of our competition can see our

advertisements does it make the process a lot more difficult this is just gonna

be a short video let's jump right into it and I'll tell you everything I know

so far let's go this is not Facebook ads spy software but it IS kind of a Facebook Ads

spy tool there's nothing you need to download and it's available for free to

everyone that uses Facebook I'll show you quickly how to see competitor

Facebook Ads with this new Facebook ads feature and

as you could imagine being able to spy on Facebook ads for Shopify can be

incredibly beneficial in model it for yourself

I'll also go over a couple questions people commonly have on this and discuss

how this new feature relates to you and Shopify dropshipping so let's

jump into it and learn how to spy on competitors ads alright this is gonna be

pretty self-explanatory guys but it's very important nobody knows about this

new facebook ads feature since it's just released so I wanted to be able to show it to you guys

right away so you're able to see this feature on any Facebook business page

for this example I just went to Whole Foods and you scroll down and you click

info and ads see I'm already on this page here so you can see what ads

they're running in different countries which can be beneficial so that you can

see how they are targeting different countries differently so that you could

model and maybe find little gold nuggets that are beneficial for you when running

your ads this is crucial information and this was actually available in Canada as

like a trial period for a while and they just released it in America or the

United States a couple days ago so this is brand new you guys and it's gonna be

super beneficial information for you to have now let's jump into a couple common

questions that people have about this people want to know if this new feature

shows all of the ad the various business pages are running

the answer is no the ads that are running multiple dynamic versions are

not shown however dark posts and dark ads are shown now I'm gonna explain to

you what these two things are if you don't know but right here the dark posts

and dark ads is incredibly powerful and something that we've never had access to

you without third party software in the past so multiple dynamic ads when you

create a template that auto uses items images and details that you want to

advertise from your catalog instead of individually creating an ad for every

item that you promote that's what if multiple dynamic ads are and as you can

imagine it makes sense why this would not be visible in that new feature on

Facebook however this is super important guys dark posts and dark ads are visible

and what those are the ads that are visible to your target audience

but not visible on your business page feed so if you guys have played around in

facebook ads at all you know you could take a post that you've already posted

on your facebook business page and you could use them as advertisements or you

could go into business manager and you could create brand new ads and run those

to a targeted audience which both advertisements can be targeted to a

specific audience but the dark posts in particular will not be visible on your

business page as you can imagine this is very important because now we could see

advertisements that businesses are running that we would not have seen

otherwise people are wondering is this gonna ruin

our ads is it gonna make marketing more competitive and yes to a certain extent

it will because people can come and see exactly what ads you're running now but

you should be doing this all the time you guys where you need to remain unique

offer some level of value that is more difficult for others to replicate you

need to be building a strong brand people can replicate certain little gold

nuggets and techniques but they can't copy your brand entirely this isn't the

first change and it's not going to be the last change with technology you guys

technology is always evolving as entrepreneurs we need to adapt to the

new exciting features that come out and get creative all of the time another

example is Instagram TV go follow me on Instagram if you have not yet because

I'll be releasing unique native content for Instagram

and be offering giveaways for only my Instagram following what Instagram TV is

another example of some new technology that got people a little bit scared

entrepreneurship in general is volatile we need to build strong brands and work

towards multiple revenue streams because at any time if we have one revenue

stream it can be ripped away from us so you guys need to take all these new

changes with technology and all these various policy changes that come about

and spin them into a way that you can benefit from them

get creative I'm thinking about releasing more than one video per week

San Luis Potosí, SLP.- Debido a que dos funcionarios de casilla no llegaron a la cita, a las 8:50 am seguía sin instalarse la casilla número 886 en Facultad de Medicina de la UASLP

Ante este imprevisto tuvieron que elegir a dos voluntarios de entre las personas que desde temprano estaban formadas para emitir su voto

 Transcurridos los primeros 50 minutos de la jornada electoral, ya había decena de personas formadas en esta casilla

Entre ellas estaba Jaime Chalita, presidente local de la Confederación  Patronal de la República Mexicana (Coparmex), quien en entrevista dijo que además de emitir su voto, iniciaba la evaluación de este organismo sobre el arranque de la jornada comicial, pues el primer compromiso era la apertura puntual de las casillas

Jaime Chalita decidió retirarse y regresar más tarde a emitir su voto.  Las personas que siguen formadas comienzan a desesperarse, pues decidieron llegar temprano a emitir su voto y se encuentran con esta desagradable situación que los obligará a permanecer formados por varios minutos más

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is to pull a shock u-turn a end his recruitment for another goalkeeper

, giving current goalkeepers Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet another chance at the club,

according to the Reports.

The newspaper reports on their website that the German coach is willing to hand the 25-year-old

shot stopper a surprise lifeline at Anfield, after his two mistakes cost Liverpool in the

Champions League Final against Real Madrid, the player coming under fire from fans and

pundits.

Klopp was heavily reported to be seeking out Roma's first choice keeper Allison Becker

and Stoke's Jack Butland to replace the error-stricken keeper,

but it is stated that he has ended those pursuits in favour of giving Karius another chance

to prove himself at the club,

while Mignolet, another who has been widely criticised for his displays, also looks set

to stay.

Klopp is right to give Karius another chance to cement himself as the Reds' first choice

goalkeeper.

His mistakes in the Champions League Final cost Liverpool hugely, but it has since come

to light that the stopper had been suffering concussion during the match.

If it were not for this injury, Karius may not have made the mistakes he did and a search

for a new number one may not have even been on the cards for Klopp in this transfer window.

The German stopper has performed consistently for Liverpool during the 2017/2018, enabling

them to finish in the top-four, so it would be hugely unfair if Klopp did drop him for

another keeper.

The pursuit of Allison from Roma was proving to be too expensive for Liverpool, so it is

also cheaper to keep Karius at the club, rather than pay excessively for someone else.

Hopefully the Liverpool supporters will back their manager in his decision, and give Karius

another chance themselves.

Though they weren't widely regarded among the favorites entering this tournament, Uruguay have established themselves as an irrefutable threat.

They won all three games during group play, and while their group (Russia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt) was generally considered as the weakest, they deserve credit for emphatically doing what they were expected to do while we've seen other top nations struggle against lesser competition in Russia (ahem, Germany).

Portugal, meanwhile, arrive after a somewhat shaky performance during group play.

They did well to draw against Spain, the eventual group winners, but a 1-0 win over Morocco and 1-1 draw against Iran weren't exactly convincing statements.

Though this may not necessarily be a wide-open match, it's an intriguing matchup from a tactical standpoint.

Both teams can defend well, and both teams have superstars up front who have the capacity to take over any game.

Speaking of such, the matchup to watch in this one seems obvious: Cristiano Ronaldo vs.

Uruguay's defense.

While Ronaldo has found the back of the net four times and had one special moment of brilliance to save his team against Spain, Uruguay has been a brick wall in defense, the only team in the tournament to produce three shutouts in three group-stage matches.

Not only are they playing well, but center back Diego Godin is experienced dealing with Ronaldo from his time with Atletico Madrid.

Ultimately, it's very easy to see this match going either way.

The odds favor Uruguay ever so slightly, while FiveThirtyEight's prediction model gives Portugal a 55 percent chance to advance.

The winner will play either France or Argentina in the quarterfinals on Friday, July 6.
