Youtube daily report Jan 1 2019

Do you avoid making semlor-

-because of the time it takes for the dough to rise?

Then this creamy cake is something for you!

The great thing about my semla cake is that it's doesn't result in a lot of washing up.

First off, melt the butter.

You might think that my pot is far too large for this-

-but that's because I'm making the whole batter in it.

Freshly ground cardamom...

...and it's empty.

I'll go refill it.

Caraway, cloves...

I've got tons of spices here...

Sometimes I could just tear the whole thing out, but I'm trying to keep calm.

Since I'm making a creamy semla cake, I definitely want grated almond paste.

Now it's done!

Instead of using butter and breadcrumbs I'm using parchment paper.

I've already told you this-

-but the reason I wrinkle it is because it makes it easier to fit in the pan.

This batter doesn't taste too bad-

-so it's perfectly fine if you can't scrape everything out of the bottom...

Now it's time for a TV trick!

This one has to go in the oven for about 25 minutes-

-but I did that yesterday.

I always forget to close...

This is what it looks like finished after it's cooled down.

Now I'm going to decorate it in order to get a genuine creamy semla cake!

I want whipped cream and some chopped and roasted almonds.

I'm going to chop these almonds.

Did you know that it's much easier if you use the bread knife when you're chopping nuts?

That way they don't fly off everywhere.

They still fly away, but not as far!

I'm going to pipe the cream, but I'm not sure how it'll turn out.

It's much prettier if you use a piping tip, such as a star-shaped one.

I couldn't find mine... It's in one of the countless cabinets.

How much cream do we want?

There we go.

And some of these crunchy chopped almonds.

I have to taste it.

I almost dare to say that this is, perhaps not better tasting-

-but at least as tasty as a real semla.

The recipe can be found in the description.

Mongolian Grill Now Open! - Crusader Kings 2 Holy Fury - Part 1 - Duration: 26:48.

Well Tekine...

It was nice knowing you for four days.

At age sixteen your courtier Tekine was offered up in sacrifice to the ancestors by

Khan Jurchdei of Ayanga.

We're going to be kind of an evil person this campaign I feel. *laughter*

Welcome everybody to Let's Play Crusader Kings 2 Holy Fury

as always I'm your host JSquared Jon Jeremy and let's get right into it here.

We're starting a brand new campaign in 769 playing as one of

the Mongols. Now you may ask yourself "Well where are the Mongols in 769?"

Well truth be told there aren't that many.

They're over here in the north-eastern part of the map way up

near the Siberian Wastes and they're pretty...

small.

Not very powerful at all. You see we are

under control of the Uyghur forces and we're not even

a Khagan. We're a simple Khan. Our Khagan here is the Khagan Burkhan

of Otuken. That's the name of our state.

We are...

Khan Jurchedei of Ayanga.

And our counter clan here is Khan Bukha

of Uul. Let's take a look at Jurchedei here and see what we've got.

So Jurchedei is a created character using the ruler designer DLC.

And as you can see here he's got some good

traits and he's got some pretty bad traits and

that led us to our stat line of what you see on the right-hand side here. He

is a misguided warrior; didn't really receive much in the way of an education. He is

strong though and is a giant. He's also left-handed a new trait which we'll get into

in a bit of that involves our personal combat skill. He is uncouth...

A duelist, lustful, gluttonous...

slothful, deceitful, cynical, stressed,

depressed, lunatic... he's possessed and he's

wounded. So again all those traits led to this that line here.

And we've already made some moves to kind of speed things along here. His current goal is to become a

counselor for his lord. Hopefully we can become his marshal with this statline or maybe his

spymaster which would be pretty nice. He has a war focus right now because

as all things Mongol it's all about war. We already have two concubines

here: Holeun and Chaka, both of which have some sort

of genetic trait... both of which have strong here which should help us out in trying to

get some children because we need them. We're starting a brand new family from

scratch after all. We do have another concubine coming in from our counterpart

here Bukha. The concubine here's name is

Temelun and she's on her way over. We also have a wife coming in from

our liege. His sister Nomalun will be our wife and we'll gain

some prestige from that. Our council

here is decent. Our Chancellor Guchu we're going to go ahead and

have him improve clan sentiment with our lord.

Our Marshal Burkhan... he is fifteen. He's going to go and train some warriors to build-up

our manpower and we'll get into that in just a few. Our Steward Jochi...

We'll have him administer the realm, that's fine.

Our spymaster... not so great. Ambaghai at nine, we'll have him scheme and

our diviner Bilge which will have him hunt apostates.

Now if we take a look at our laws we are following agnatic nomad succession.

Basically with that means is that we need to ensure that our children

specifically our sons gain prestige and that the son we want to inherit

our clan has the most prestige. Otherwise there may be some

foul things afoot. Now we've got no technology advances here.

And, our military is...

somewhat lacking and we'll dive into that a that further. There are no army

levies here when you're playing as a nomad instead they follow

a horde pattern where you build up your horde by spending

prestige and manpower. So we need to slowly

build up our population to build up our manpower so that we can

build up our army, in this case the horde. Now...

It's going to take some time.

And it's going to take some warfare to build up that population and that manpower.

We'll get into that in a few. In our intrigue decisions area our biggest

opportunity is to worship the ancestors we can make a sacrifice regarding

an important matter and it can only be done once every tenth year so let's go

and start that right now. You've decided to visit the shrine in the holy grove and

make a sacrifice in the honor of your ancestors hoping for their aid in return.

What will you ask of your forefathers? We can ask for affection and companionship

but we've already got that kind of taking care of. We can ask them to guide my

sword in battle and let me conquer my enemies... okay sounds good.

Or ancestors, share your wisdom with me. Well considering that Jurchedei

here has only got three learning... probably not a good idea

to share wisdom with him. So instead we'll ask that our sword be lead in battle.

Now we can also do things like promote a commander, invite a holy man, invite

nobility and present debutantes. Now if we were lacking in concubines

we probably would do a debutante but I do want to showcase a new option here and

that is regarding a relationship with the,

in this case, Tang Empire. This is part of the

Jade Dragon DLC which we never actually made a campaign about so we're kind of

mixing a few campaigns together here. Now one thing that you need to understand here is

that since we're so close to china as a whole we need to be concerned

about our relationship with the empire.

Now currently the Emperor is Li Daizong of the Tang Empire his

sort of stalwart here on the map is going to be

the protector general Guo Xin of the Western Protectorate.

If we take a look he's actually right below us so again,

kind of a thing where we want to make sure we're on good terms with them.

And how do you become how do you get on good terms with the empire?

Well, you give them tributes and by giving them tributes you can ask for

boons. Now note here the emperor currently

likes eunuchs and the emperor currently dislikes Hindus so if we were to

pay tribute to him  we can give them horses which we supply horses

to China. It decreases our monthly manpower growth but increases our

grace per month and we get a hundred base grace to start with but we kind of

need the manpower so not a good option for us right now.

We can send him a eunuch which he likes

or because there's unrest currently in the empire we can send him a commander

to help support one of his armies. In this case though let's consider sending him a

eunuch so we take a look at the options here...

We can see we have three potential candidates to become eunuchs

two of which are in my council so probably not the best option and

then we have Guchu here who gives us a value of 280.

Notice the values on the right-hand side here. So basically if

they're a good character the emperor wants them and

if they're not, then less value for them. So what

we're going to do is we're going to spend some gold to invite some nobles

to our court for the express purpose of making one of them a eunuch. *laughter*

Of course not telling them that at first but,

you know, it's going to be a thing.

Now this is something the game offers to us for the cost of

one gold at least in the start of the campaign.

And, we've got twenty six gold to spend so we've got

some opportunities here now we want to kind of maximize the gold that we have so

we probably won't spend too much. Maybe at max five or six

gold to try and get the best person for this role. Again we're looking for somebody who

has basically a good stat line and anything that has anything

to do with stewardship so let's try first with Yegu.

Yegu here has twenty-one stewardship and is an

administrator.

That's a damn good first try. Now note that if we were to

pay tribute to the emperor

Yegu here gives us a value of six hundred and sixty grace.

But I kinda want to lose him. He's really good! That was a really good first

spend so, we're going to keep trying...

to get somebody similar so I can keep Yegu or if nothing else

then we can send Jochi instead because I'm making Yegu my steward right now.

Wasn't expecting that but I'll take it. let's try again... Kadan.

Okay, Kadan here is fifteen he is strong which the Emperor should like

and he is also an administrator. Let's see how much Kadan gets us.

Kadn gets us 490... 490

grace for his good traits good education and the fact the

emperor likes eunuchs.

The question is I want to keep him or not as a potential backup.

I could send Jochi here for three hundred sixty.

Plus he doesn't really like me anyway so...

Let's go do that.

Jochi, I'm going to send you to the emperor goodbye.

Now we gained three hundred sixty grace which we can then use to ask for a boon.

In this case we can request a Chinese physician. There are also other options like

requesting artifacts requesting engineers bureaucrats requesting trade

an imperial marriage or an invasion of an enemy in this case though

chinese physician which right now we can't really do because we

don't have the people who are capable of doing it so sounds good.

The Protector General of the pious Emperor addresses a letter to the eminent Khan of the Ayanga Clan. May good

healthy be with you. The heavenly Li Chu, Emperor Daizong of the Tang Empire

has generously decided to send you a skilled physician from his court. Ruan Qi

will serve you well. Send my most sincere gratitude to the emperor! We now have

A Court Physician here.

Learning of twenty.

Renowned Physician, a scholar as well...

homosexual but if we were to find

A good marriage for him.

Make him a bit happier than why not right? So we've got that taken care of. That's

awesome. That's kind of how you work the relationship with the emperor and

will continue to do that over time. Unfortunately though we can't send him

another eunuch for twenty years.

So we can send them one in 789 but by that time there might be a new Emperor.

And the new Emperor might have different tastes so always something to keep in mind.

See where do we go off now. Now factions here obviously we are

a member of the Otkuen state.

We can start a faction. There are two factions to start:

an independence faction or to overthrow the Khan and install ourselves.

The thing is at the start of a campaign for the Mongols it

seems like everyone has the same amount. There's 500 for you.

500 for myself and 500 for the Otkuen army. The downside though is

that if let's say someone were to rebel against our lord...

our lord here could then call upon the greater forces of the

Uyghur to fight on his side so it becomes a race. Can the

person defeats the ruler before the Uyghurs come in with their

armies. That's the game you play basically when trying to take advantage of a

situation so at the moment I probably don't want to start a faction

although we'll keep in mind for future reference. Our religion is Tengri. It

is a pagan religion

and unfortunately for us we're surrounded by Manicheans

otherwise Tengri forces are over kind of in the west.

Right as they're coming up against like Hungary and the

Byzantine Empire. Also unfortunately for us...

although we control all of our territories none of them has a temple which means our

moral authority is significantly lower than what it could be

hopefully of the course of time we'll be able to raise that moral authority and then reform the faith as

we so desire. Next up societies, there is a new society group in as of

Holy Fury which are warrior lodges. In this case here for us it's the Eagle Warriors.

Basically for those individuals that enjoy dueling as well as you know,

all around general warfare...

warrior lodges are your best bet. You can kind of raise

your status with them over time the same way you can do with any other society.

Eventually hopefully we'll be able to establish a good bloodline which when we if and when we

do we'll kind of go into that a bit deeper as well we've already asked to join the

eagle warriors so we'll see that as we start the campaign here

start timer up and see what happens with that and finally our clans menu.

You can see that we are the weakest of the three forces here.

At 2000 population but we're not that far behind so it's

definitely something where if we take advantage of a situation we can come out on top.

Now as far as our

ambitions are concerned right now I think our primary focus should be around gaining

some gold and the way we do that, the way we

build up our treasury is going to be through warfare specifically

raiding. We need to raid like our life depends on it because it does.

Now unfortunately we're not going to be able to raid the Uyghur forces next to us because

they are WAY more powerful than we are absolutely more powerful

and we probably don't want to raid our fellow clansmen here because that just makes overall weaker.

So, I guess our target would probably be Yenisei here, the Khagan of

Kirghiz. If we were to raid his territories which are located here...

Here... and here.

We could potentially sack them and gain some prisoners.

Now everything else that is around is basically grazing lands so there are

no holdings on them they are basically just for the rulers to kind of build population off of

so just for your notice only one that's

strange there's a french flag above my city.

All right only one territory of ours is going to have the opportunity to build

things on it. Now these buildings though do come with us if we ever decide to move

our capital which is a good thing but, everything else is grasslands.

All right all that being said I think it's finally time we start our campaign here. Let's go ahead and open up

our messaging log and one more thing before I forget I really hope that and

I've been talking through our options and reading the dialogues as they come up I really hope that you

all can see the text very clearly. One of the new features in this

3.0 addition of Crusader Kings 2 is that there is now a UI Scaler

built into the game which I understand was immensely hard to do but I

greatly appreciate it because I can read things now much easier, much clearer

even on a high-definition screen and even more so I've seen the videos

of my prior campaigns on smaller devices and they're near impossible

to follow. So I'm hoping that whether you're watching this on a television whether you're watching this on a

monitor or whether you're watching this on like a tablet or a mobile phone you can see the

screen clearly and you can see all the text clearly. That's my hope and I think

I've tested out to the point where it actually does kind of work out so...

With all I being set let's start a new campaign here as a Mongol.

And, right away our lord here is looking to appoint us a chancellor.

Very good. To the vivacious Khan Jurchedei, blessings upon you and your house. I would like to

offer you a seat on my council and therefore offer you the title of chancellor.... Chancellor?

At twelve?

When I have eighteen Intrigue and twenty four Marshal?

Who's on your council right now?

Your.... No that's my council. Your chancellorship is empty.

Okay. Your spymaster...

Is six...

Uh huh...

And, your marshal is Bukha, our counterpart clansman.

He's got zero! ZERO!

And you want to make me chancellor?!

Really?! You're not very smart are you? This is the thing. *laughter*

All right.

I accept. I will become your chancellor.

If only so that I can gain more power but you are not the brightest bulb in the

bunch, are you my lord? All right, we've fulfilled the ambition to become a councilor.

Let's go ahead and groom an heir so that we increase our fertility and hopefully get some kids.

You have asked your ancestors for military power and

prowess in battle. Now it is time to present what you're offering. What you give them in return?

O great forefathers, I willingly offer you my flesh and blood.

You offer the answers one of your body parts.

Oh really?!

We become one eyed.

And we gain the trait severely injured but considering our stat line as it currently

is if we become severely injured which adds a minus two health to

our already depleted health... uh no, we can't do that. That

would kill us. May this soul serve you well in the afterlife. You offer

the ancestors the life of one of your courtiers. Gain 60 piety, Tekine here dies.

All right.

Ancestorsm may this feast please you. We lose twenty five gold which we can't

afford and we gain forty piety. Or we offer an

idol which costs us five gold and we gain ten piety.

Well Tekine...

It was nice knowing you for four days.

At age sixteen your courtier Tekine was offered up

in sacrifice to the ancestors by Khan Jurchedei of Ayanga. We're going to be kind of

an evil person this campaign I feel. *laughter*

Chief Gostum of Bucs and the Eagle Warriors have chosen Omurtag Bilar as my

opponent. The staunch man eyes me up and down when we are introduced. "Fresh meat, eh?" he

offers mockingly before

shoving an elbow into my side making everyone laugh. So...

Now let's talk about personal combat. So our character here as I noted

has certain skills that increase his personal combat

skill which is the new way of how the dueling system works in this game so

our personal combat skill is fifty-three which gives us pluses and minuses depending on which traits we have.

So it's fifty three versus Omurtag Bilar here who has a personal combat skill of five.

So, hopefully this goes a bit smoother than when we were Thor

way back in the day and,

we'll see how well we do here with a sparring match.

The onlookers are cheering for me as I swing my dull spear in increasing enthusiasm. When it's over

Omurtag Bilar is on the ground, his face red with embarrassment. I shrug

smiling to the crowd and at my opponent. I walk away victorious.

Omurtag Bilar gains the trait wounded and a black eye.

And, we gain fifteen prestige and our dual experience increases. That's good.

That should get into this society.... I hope.

The heavenly Li Chu, Emperor Daizong of the Tang Empire, has graciously

accepted your gift. We shall enjoy the architect you sent us. Eww. The generosity of the

Ayanga dynasty will not be forgotten. I aim to please. Seriously please don't kill me.

The offering struggled violently when the shaman and her disciples pushed it

down on the offering stone. The ancestors will surely be

pleased with such a vigorous servant. Now all you could do was wait and hope. All right

Tekine's sacrificed. May the ancestors bestow their blessings upon me.

Oh! I totally forgot what I wanted to do. I want to go raiding so you...

Jurchedei here we don't really have any other commanders I think.

Really sucky ones. I need you go to raiding. I need you to raid this

guy up here so go have fun. We're going to see how that does.

Temelun has now been made our concubine and has arrived at our court. Excellent.

And Nomolun is now our wife and we have the option to either

receive ten gold or gain fifty prestige. Considering our

need for prestige as a Mongol and a nomad let's go ahead and get the prestige.

To the Great Khan Jurchedei, may you live in harmony and

contentment I accept your suggestion that Khan Jurchedei and Nomolun get married. Very good!

Now we're going to go ahead and, oh... To the valiant Khan Jurchedei of Ayanga, I am told you did not receive a

single scratch during your initiation. That is the kind of impressive figher we would be honored to have sitting at

our table. You are hereby humbly invited to join our ranks. Signed Chief Gostum of Bacs.

Finally! All right, so we've joined the society. Now...

our movement is locked this is another change from previous campaigns where you

were able to change your movement pretty much with an army. In this case now, at a

certain point your army as locked to moving to that destination or at least the nearest destination.

And what has just happened? Things have just happened. Ok. So...

I've decided to institute the tax shifted noble obligations law.

All that is needed is the support of yourself and my other loyal vassals.

You can't us tax us though.

I will...

Ignore for now. To the strong played master Jurchedei, your wisdom and

mercy are legendary. We request you honor your obligation and answer this call to arms against

blank.

Declining would cost zero prestige. If we accept we will be a part of blank.

Bukha of Otkukeni Revolt

refused the absorption of the Uul clan requested by Khagan Burkhan of Otkuen.

Oh really?! He is a rebel. *laughter*

That is interesting. Ooh, that is interesting. We

have the opportunity to knock out one of our rivals right at the start

of the campaign. This would get us into good graces of our liege lord here.

And, potentially get us more territory because if he does go through the

absorption and this guy dies we could stand to gain... or we can join

up with our fellow clansmen and attack our liege lord.

And, if we win he, Bukha here, would be installed as the

new Khagan we put in the good graces of Bukha.

So either way it kinda works out in our favor except...

If we do try

and attack our liegelord here and the liege lord calls in the Uygher forces then we get wiped

out and game over so I will decline.

Your, uh, your offer and our lord wants to

make a commander. I will decline that as well because I move my own army thank you very

much and my own character for that matter. Now we are locked into this movement up here

already so we cannot reposition. We have to wait until we come up here and come back down but

we will do that because we have to kind of, you know,

take care of this rebel force quickly.

And, yeah, already first episode in and there's a rebellion and

we're at war. Fun times! Fun times for all. Will we be successful? Will we stand to gain?

welcome back to the we live marketing show

I am Karma Senge and this is Eddie Sand. what's going on peeps what's going on how you

doing today doing great man doing awesome how about you I am doing

fantastic right now bitten a little under the weather the past couple of

days but you know things happen hey and that down in the in the neck of your

words what was it like - degrees yeah it's traditionally like you know - five

something like that not a whole lot it's just just like that yeah I I go out at a

t-shirt and shorts and go get the mail yeah it's a completely different type of

cold than it is down there hey right down in Florida dude that is a wet cold

it could be like you know 50 degrees 55 degrees and you're like jacket on teeth

chattering you know here it's like you know negative five negative ten and like

I'll put a light jacket on that's about it you know my flip flops in a problem

there's a woman that looked at me funny the other day I had to go inside my

daughter's school for a like a parent-teacher conference and she looked

at me weird because I wasn't in a jacket and like I was in shorts and it and a

it does completely different type of cold what are we talking this is that

one thing man that one thing I look anything that deals with one thing that

I can take an implement I'm all for that yeah what is that one thing what's gonna

be the one thing that we're gonna talk about today (marketing) automation baby although may

show everything okay let me start with this so I knew we

were gonna talk about this right in the first thing it brought to my mind about

automation was Ironman so so I was like dude so I went and looked up some

YouTube videos that that dude is automating everything alright everything

yeah and Gervais do this Gervais do that absolutely and not only that is like

especially even when he goes and walks to that place where he starts putting

all his armor on and yeah nobody's automated right everything is automated

yep yeah he's not on there like putting his glove on that was the start up but

then he figured out man why do I have to do this and eventually write the parts

right to him and eventually it's just one little thing that carries I mean

so anyway marketing automation Oh to me everything that's now it now it's like you know

watch or something yeah yeah yeah you're on it's like yeah right so so this is a

this is a topic that is really exciting because absolutely automation for me

continually makes my life a little bit easier because you know it's not is that

it's not only about what we were saying before I will talk about that in a

moment about email marketing automation that but really it's more

than that you know it comes to the point where even our doing the social media

stuff you can automate that stuff and there's software's and tools to do that

but yeah man let's talk let's talk into the automation this let's do the

foundation right let's talk about what it really means and and what what what

do people need to know about this no all right well I mean I think first off you

you were kind of talking about it but you know the first thing is automation

is not you know what we're talking about business and marketing we're not talking

about just email marketing automation like automating your sequences and stuff

like that all right that's a very very small portion what automation is but

unfortunately most marketers that's either all they

know about or it's all that they implement right right um yeah they may

implement one to three different things you know maybe segmentation or you know

customization of emails or the actual sequence itself but that that's pretty

much it that's all they are today and for me I try to automate absolutely

everything you know I always say automate everything yeah that you

possibly can that way it gets it out of your way like I personally I automate a

hundred and twenty-five things in my life that's business personal right so

business I automate 46 things 46 different things I oughta mate my

business and 79 in my personal life and you know it for me I find that you know

I look for repetition yeah anything that that you can do or that that comes up

more than once or twice that you know is going to come up again you need to

automate it you know you need to find a way to automate it

and so that that's what I've done for years that's why that's the only reason

that I automate so much it is you know because I've been doing it for a very

long time and I know what canning cannot be automated and you know so you know if

something but if something new comes up and I can automate it you believe that's

exactly yeah yeah but so so you know so let's start the email because I think

that's a good starting point yeah and that is you're right you're

right when I first started back in 2012 no 2008 it's when I heard about even

marketing and then later on through the years I started here and while you can

automate the emails to go automatically at a certain day and then just recently

it's been what how long two years since we met now or something like that I

can't remember a year and a half or something I'm here oh my goodness I feel

like I've known you for like ten years or something but I know

so we first met right and I started learning the process of

or the importance of that which which is what you just talked about you you

mentioned that the segmentation type that's part of it and that transforms

everything as well and so with email email marketing for example even the

email sequence that's automation as well yeah so what would you let's talk a

little about that like what do you do what are your best practices you know

for for making email work automatically for you no matter what you're doing and

no matter where you are in your life well I think it kind of comes out to

what do you want to accomplish you know that that's a big thing you know a lot

of people they don't segment their lists at all and you know everybody gets the

exact same emails and you may automate the process of you know delivering those

emails you know you're just putting them into an autoresponder sequence but

that's about as far as it goes whereas like you know I try to figure out what

do I want to accomplish with this person and I try to ask myself all these

different questions that they might have and you know or and stuff that they

might do so you know people that first come onto my list you know every single

opt-in form that I have I have a way to segment them and you know it's just a

drop-down menu and it asked them you know just to choose one that suits that

suits you you know for so for marketing you know are you new to marketing or you

know have you been marketing for a while but maybe you're not profitable or maybe

you are you know profitable but you want to take it to the next level you know

something like that and you know that helps me automate at a later stage you

know cuz they they segment themselves and for me I like when they segment

themselves I don't want to have to guesstimate you know is this person a

beginner you know or have they demarcate know let me get them to do that process

for me again it's a other level of automation let them do it

yeah so I don't have to and then and then once they they opt-in let's say

they that they go to a quote unquote tripwire offer mmm I don't call it that

but that's all that's another session but look that since everybody knows what

a tripwire offer is you know let's just say that they go to that tripwire offer

and they visit the page but they bounce they don't you know go to it well I have

automation set up that'll trigger certain other emails that will try to

get them to go back there to end up purchasing the the the product all right

and then I had a completely different set of emails that you know for people

that get to that page and they then go to the cart page and then don't end up

buying you know that'll trigger a whole other set of emails a whole other set of

responses you know that'll put them into another Facebook retargeting campaign

all on its own right a set of different emails but it

also tags them in certain ways that I know what type of person this is so

it'll start also scoring them you know that that lead screen I utilize lead

scoring and so it it you know tags them in certain ways and scores them in

certain ways so that I know exactly how to deal with them but it all comes back

to planning it out you know what do you want to happen where do you want it to

happen at you know if if you you know want to send people emails and you want

to customize those emails well you have to do it in a certain way that's based

off of your planning stage you know you want to talk to them super super

individually you know so that they know that you know that they are a beginner

you know like I have some emails that it'll say in one part you know I

understand that you're new to marketing blah blah blah blah blah right and then

for the person that's you know really good at marketing

they're profitable it'll say I know that you're profitable at marketing but you

want to see you know greater results blah blah blah blah right and it's all

because I planned it out right you know it may take you some time you know plan

it and figure all the little details out but it can be done and then the

automation process is actually really simple especially if you go with

something like Carter you know we we both utilize cart ride I know we both

use every single thing under the Sun Infusionsoft and click funnels and

WordPress and all these different platforms you know but you know for me

personally karch was amazing and you know you can automate all these

different things in cartridge and in fact there's an entire section of just

automation automation and it's brilliant and you know I I definitely think that

everybody should be utilizing it and dissecting the entire customer journey

mm-hmm you know and you know most people they think in a you know in our last

session we talked about funnel hackers and they're only thinking about that

front and funnel none of the long-term and when you start thinking long term

you can plan out the entire customer journey plan out every little detail of

what they do where they're going and you know it's it's all based off of their

behavior what they're doing what they're not licking on what they're you know the

emails that they open up right right and it just you know for me you know they I

think that's one of the reasons why I've done so well with my email marketing is

because I plan everything out like you know stickler for it and and I will sit

down sometimes for weeks not do anything else except plan out this entire journey

yeah the customer and you know it yeah I've seen it yeah I mean I will go

through and you know did they open up this email no they didn't open it well

I'm gonna send them this one instead yeah

and and I'll did it open up this was all send them this one and if they did okay

now we'll go to the next one like I've done so much it's insane but that it all

comes from planning that's now nation that is true so so the planning it's

another form of reverse engineering right because right you want to take a

look at what you hold in your goal is and you know it doesn't have to be

perfect either all right so you're going to change or even add to what you

thought you had of course but there have been times let me interrupt you real

quick there have been times I have completely destroyed my existing system

mhm because I went oh I'm so stupid and I figured something out some really big

aha thing and then I have to go but right back to the drawing board

completely scrapped everything that I've done thus far and completely

reimplemented entirely new way of doing stuff Wow I'm sure that there's people

out there that aren't me that you know would never make those mistakes it

happened to me also big but it happened by accident

I totally lost my files on my Mac I don't know what keep keep thing I

pressed but because of that it got me to create because I had all my ebooks and

other stuff it got me to create a better a book a better system because of that

incident so you know if you intentionally redid everything again it

came out better I'm sure he came out way better I like to think so anyway so so

automation okay so so two things that you mentioned the segmentation which

we'll use culture for example that's the automation part that's the piece that

they have you can tell it whatever you want you mentioned one you know if they

clicked in the link right so are you gonna are they gonna get this email or

that email or the point system you mentioned as well which

is something that I learned from you actually I didn't know that but how to

keep points like if they open so many emails and oh that's the point or

whatever and let's see if they don't open an email then you know they're out

yeah I mean you know my lead scoring system the way that I have it is you

know it tracks all their their opens and their engagement in general you know I

like to to track all my engagement and if they receive negative points man you

know there's 30-60-90 - you know coincided with 30 days of no engagement

60 days of no engagement 90 days of no engagement and what I've actually done

like I would at 90 days I would completely delete them from my database

alright but now I actually delete them at 60 days they no one can even make it

to 90 any more at 60 days if you are not engaged if you're not opening emails if

you're not clicking on links there's no point in having you on my list so you

know at 30 days it's gonna try a re-engagement campaign it'll trigger you

into a reengagement campaign all on its own I don't have to go there and press

it because it's really automated and you know if you don't open those emails any

of them and there's how many are in it I believe that there's ten different

emails in that particular sequence if you don't open any of those in a certain

amount of time I get after the last email it gives you ten days and if you

know so that's like you know 50 days at that point then it'll it'll purge you

out of the system and you know if you've opened one of those and again it just

brings you right back thank you net zero and then you can

start building up points from there but yeah I love you know engagement tracking

and we bring and then you know I GameA find the system as well yeah and you

know gamification is something fairly new to me like you know I I've known

about gamification for years but it's something that I've only

recently started to implement and I've gamified the system so that if you get a

certain amount of points all right let's just you know hypothetically say 100

because I actually I don't remember what it what it is then you get a free

consultation with me right and you know if you get you know another certain

amount of points greater certain amount of points then maybe I'll give you like

a $500 you know credit or $1,000 credit to one of my courses you know or

something because I only want the people that are engaged sorry

where they engage with me the more points you're gonna have yeah and the

more stuff you're gonna get yeah fine as simple I just I liked gamification

that's really cool you know with our technology nowadays it makes us so much

it's just knowing like you say it's just knowing what you want but so so okay so

we got email and I think again having the plan now using the right tool really

you know so like like my car truck tagging automation and knowing what you

want out of the whole system but there's also more automation to be done in other

areas oh yeah you even mentioned your personal automation but even in business

itself so what's another one that you think it's beneficial for all of us to

know social automation yeah III know loads of people that are going out every

day and they are posting their own tweets posted their own Instagram

pictures posting their own you know this and that and to me that's that's foolish

yeah I like to batch things and I'm a big believer in batching and like what

I'll do is I might get 30 or 40 different posts together put them into a

software you know buffer or HootSuite or something like that or meet Edgar I

don't know if anybody knows that one I'll post links below

and what what they do is you can put it all in and schedule everything right so

that you don't have to to worry about it it just automatically goes off and it

does its own thing and that like with with meet Edgar you can do all that but

it also it'll look at timing and this and that and something that maybe you

posted like two months ago like a link to a blog post it'll post again for you

mmm you don't even need to do anything it just automatically does it that's

good oh oh that's really that's really awesome and you know I I believe if

you're going to do social media marketing that you need to automate a

lot of the process and if you could even delegate the process of someone else but

you know automate as much as you can because it's something that you have to

do over and over and over again and you just do it once set it up for all you

know a month and for that entire month you don't you don't need to think about

it we don't need to do anything yeah go about and do the stuff that you really

need to do that it's really going to make you money right

right and not have to worry yeah no that's a good point

you know I get I guess sometimes the question you probably get this question

too sometimes some people will say well how come you have an answer like they'll

send me a post message or something after a few days after they see our

video or maybe a post or a picture but you know how come you don't I send you

this or I send you there so in a way they're thinking that I'm always on

Facebook Yeah right but no yeah there's no I'm a sense something like some

effect I took a lot of pictures this past weekend my wife and I we was just

celebrating our anniversary my birthday and we just went away and it was amazing

so we had a lot of great shots so they'll be coming in possibly right

after this month passed by but it'll look like is being done or like right

there and then and that right they're two things that I like about

that one like you said it gives you time to do the things that make you money all

right so if you're running multiple businesses if you if you have a family

if you just want to have time for your own I mean it gives you time to do a lot

of things but the other thing is it takes you away from getting stuck on

Facebook for example it happened to me you know like I will finally glance

through something and all of a sudden I get caught up and I want to dress to the

next thing and such a waste of time and energy it's a waste of time and energy

so automation automation on the social media aspect it is so good not only

financially good but you know my sick good you love from that stuff you know

you'll think better you know personally I I do not like social media at all like

I do not like going on Facebook I do not like to snap chatting or instant you

know I could say that I love doing our YouTube videos you think like that's my

social platform yeah and so you know doing YouTube videos and so forth like

that that really like gets me like I love doing that but all the other stuff

is such an aggravation to me mm-hmm it makes me feel like like nervous and

anxious inside the second that I get on you know I get on to like Facebook it's

been worth for business purposes mainly or to quickly send you know a message to

someone and actually now I have the messenger app on my computer so I don't

even need to go on Facebook anymore like if you and I are texting I don't have to

get up and that's totally cool with me yeah but the syncing that I got on

Facebook and I have to scroll or any uh yeah so I think so you mentioned a

couple of platforms by the way HootSuite I've used they meet edgert I think

you're gonna post that about that - I haven't heard of that one and

there's I mean there are so many this is this is something that you need to

decide what you want to use there's oh yeah totally aligned all you got to do

is just automate social media automation and I'm sure you'll come up with a whole

bunch of maps and they're always getting better and better

Oh them either there's probably you know 50 apps that can help you with social

media marketing and automation yeah but you know there's there's other things

you know besides just social like you know anything that goes to social so

like let's say you do a blog post let's say you're a blogger right you can

actually implement website action automation so that when you finish a

blog post the second that you hit posts it automatically goes out to so social

media and so forth that's like brilliant to me no you know if I if I do a blog

post and I hit post and I don't then have to go over to Facebook and all that

stuff to put it there yeah I mean even better I don't have to waste my time on

that nonsense right right right yeah it gives it it gives us time to be and do

things that again like they did their make sense they make sense so what else

what else besides social media automation because oh well first of all

before we move on just so everyone knows I mean you get to choose what platform

my my recommendation is don't try to do all of it at one time I mean karma you

just said you like YouTube so you're gonna be in there you're gonna put your

best into that yep try to do every search

I got caught up on that a few years ago and do that stress but that was like it

like you mentioned that was like this yeah I mean you can't do it all you can

be on every single platform yeah as long as you only install it into one thing

like right like that or right that can deliver it to Twitter that could deliver

the Facebook that can deliver them all these other platforms

that's cool or if you have a social media marketing team yeah yeah that's

right you you say hi or somebody of course I have a big believer in

delegating maybe I get that from being a parent in my idea you know children are

just slaves and by the way I'm completely joking but seriously like you

know my kids do chores around the house and I think yeah you know my daughter

will sleep the floors you know we have a bird and the bird is a very messy bird

we have one two and now now it you know it it's week two have grown in from

being clipped when we got them and now he's flying all over the place making

messes everywhere my daughter will sleep the floor you

know that's totally cool so maybe it comes from that but I really enjoyed

delegation yeah and you know if I can't automate it your earth if it can be

automated I will find out if I can delegate yeah as well yeah because if I

don't have to automate am I going to that's right that's right that's one you

said it minik I was just kind of dropping the hints already to my girl

you know in in in regards to the car truck you know how it is how simple it

is that they give us the beginning axis of putting it together doing it for us a

whole campaign yeah I was sure I was just cutting out clicking I say let me

see this is click I said and you see this a percentage

look I just follow the instructions dun dun duh I said I said how cool would it

be if if you could actually like do something like this and get paid she's

like I can get paid automation baby automation or delegation and automation

my two favorite things automation and delegation but you know there's so many

different things that you can automate I mean you can automate different

integrate you know you can integrate different soft

where's and so yeah and automate different processes like I use IFTTT

which is if this than that and I also use zapier oh that's a PR you sure isn't

that safe it is zapier alright not zapier it is zapier they are called safe

years and like let's say someone purchases something alright and maybe

it's not even an initial payment maybe it's a reoccurring payment whatever you

know if I want I can have it send a text right to my phone mm-hmm yep and you

know I use that beer for that and matter of fact I think it's just thing I just

got one yeah yeah oh yeah no way you just got one and I swear to you I did

not plan that but yeah you know I use a pure select you know any collections

that that you know come in boom I I get notified immediate is

money I like my money and you know it the second that I get any money even if

it like that one was only a sixty seven dollar payment right and so that you

know boom it gets sent to my phone and I know about it you know but at the same

time all that's going into my Google sheets it's going to my you know

different reporting sucked because I use that before everything you know and if

zapier can't do it then IFTTT probably can and for me personally if I can't

this is just a me thing but if I can't use zapier or IFTTT that I don't use the

software yeah if there's a software that's out there that you know I want to

use yeah and it does not integrate with one of the two I do not use it I'll find

it alternate I remember I remember you telling me that before and I was very

excited to hear that Karcher actually had that one Wow now yeah good that they

have that yep III used so many zaps it's it's insane you know what you know what

something that I like to use for safe SAP here say what zabi err think that

I'm gonna zap zap is when networking networking it was really cool I actually

got this idea from Joe we met him at the event about a year ago or so his bro Dan

and Joel but I got the idea because one day we were talking we're we're we're

doing that the the FaceTime or something and we're just discussing how what we

use the tools and we talked about that in another episode so what do you think

you're going to use this for cuz so I was I was telling everybody I was

so excited that staff here is here and look what you can do and and we're like

you know what meeting meeting people it's like how would I do that so you

meet somebody and we have it all hooked up to where you enter the information

and that immediately will actually drop it into our contacts it also immediately

send them an email and then it'll put them in an excel sheet as a person that

you know you met like our network and then their email address will be added

to that as well and there's a follow-up email also yeah all that just by like

just a click really just getting the information little globe and that's it

so the the chances of not only meeting someone but they're realizing that man

you actually put in the effort to follow up you go up through the roof and you

haven't but done taking the information yeah I'm gonna don't tell my secret okay

but anyway automations are brewing you know automating sales tracking it like

like I was just talking about you know I'm tracking all my sales and it's

giving me notifications and so forth you know all of that stuff is absolutely

brilliant you know you want a little thing and it triggers all these other

things that happen you know I mean to me that's that's like we're living in the

future man no you know 10 years ago no we just need now more robots to do our

stuff yeah that's all I definitely definitely need a team of robots yeah

that they can work 24/7 and I can sit back and be with my family and only work

like an hour you know there was a movie called multiplicity I think it was yeah

it's something like that yeah you've got a whole bunch of himself and yeah yeah

yeah why not so what are the things can be automated a split testing you

know oh yeah okay talk talk to us about that one because

see that one right there is that was new when I heard split testing yeah it is so

helpful in understanding who your people are who's doing things but yeah tell us

tell us about how you do that so you know split testing is just testing one

particular thing against another and finding out which one responds better so

it could be maybe a headline on a landing page and you know it'll bring up

that landing page however often you want maybe it's 50% of the time maybe it's

only 20% of the time you know and so forth and and it'll find out you know

which responds better which one gets more opt-ins or which one gets more

purchases and so forth and you know for me like you know I like to look at the

results mm-hmm but at the same time I don't want to have to go in look at it

and choose the winner so like one of the things that I do with my split testing

is I say okay let's say I get a thousand different you know people coming on to

this page and the majority 90% or more ninety percent are higher you know opted

in on this particular page with this particular headline I'll have my system

automatically choose that one as the winner and that one from that point on

will be will be the one that's being shown until I go in look at the results

see what you know maybe why the other one one out and then try another split

and I'm doing that with everything my yeah go ahead with the email messages

absolutely you can do it with Facebook advertisement absolutely me that's you

know why there is a prospect of mine I just had a as a matter of fact I believe

he'll become a client out because we're he just text me today he's like okay

yeah I need to get with you again I'm like cool but last week right we he

showed me that he's got this a you see or this person in an agency here

locally and they did our Facebook advertising and so I went and looked it

up and sure enough I saw it and I'm like okay that's good I said but where's the

other ones you know and he's like no it's only something one I'm like well

how are you you know I think you should have another one because you need to

compare which one is gonna work better I said look at this picture it makes me

feel like I'm about to go get a massage but maybe this one over here it could be

something better with a better wording so anyway I started talking to him about

you you need to split test this yeah because this question was this he's like

Eddie do you think that we need to make changes to the wording I said well I

don't know because you have to test it with something else and that's how we

all stood that's not that's how it all started I'm like do you have another one

let's see no I'm like oh yeah yeah you know so if they're good I said if

they're good agency they'll do that and he's like what's good months I'm like

okay yeah maybe not because you got to do that for everything and I think it's

so important that is something that I have learned you know it's it's it has

helped me colors you can split takes colors the pictures wording the videos

anything I mean yeah but it's helpful though because it makes me look at the

numbers and say okay this they click more here or this one they they clicked

through but you know or that one they didn't click through but they saw it a

lot you know it's so important it's so important to do that wait yeah and I try

to split test everything because you just you don't know what can be better

no when you put you know you could think you know you write a sales letter or

blog post or something and you could think this is a greatest thing since

sliced bread yeah greatest thing ever and no one likes it no one buys and you

know you're sitting there going but why did they buy won't forget wondering

why let tests you know your headline split test your call-to-action your

offer you know split test the button colors it really I don't really you know

worry too much about the coloring of my buttons and that's only because I split

test I split tested enough that I I kept always getting the exact same result

yeah yeah so now I just I you know for the most part I don't split test stuff

like that but headlines sub headlines my offer my call to action my Facebook

AdWords advertising you know I'll do my headlines my text my images you know

videos against images it like all these different you know tests I'm doing

because I want to find the absolute thing that works the best that you know

produces much more revenue in my business than than anything yep in

everything could be automated because you can have you can have information

going to excel sheet you know so Excel she will give someone who you have

higher right delegator this stuff and they can actually find out and figure

out okay that we'll use this one but yeah an automation I you know what

talking to you about this stuff man really automation isn't everything I

think I'm sure that if you had the option to automate going to the bathroom

I'm sure you would do it absolutely the only reason I haven't automated that is

because it require a little bit of surgery and stuff coming out of my body

which yeah I'm sure my wife will not think you're sexy and you know it

seriously absolutely everything I possibly can I

try to automate whether it be landing page automation you know where you know

I create templates and so forth so I don't have to redo everything again or

invoicing like you know any type of invoice because I do work with

companies and so forth you know and and my private client group that you know

all the invoices and everything are sent automatically I don't have to deal with

that all my content delivery you know all of that you know we didn't even talk

about content delivery yeah that's true yeah and it's not just you know oh I

have a course that I'm selling and it drips out the content no I'm talking

about like you can batch upload 20 videos to YouTube and have them come out

on separate days yeah so that you don't have to go back in and do it all and you

know you know every single day you want to upload no you just do it once and for

the next month you know or you know if you if you install 20 and you only you

know put out one a week that's 20 weeks you know that you don't have to do

anything that's right for that yeah there's our automation for that for the

blog posting to like if you use WordPress there's things that you can

add to it plugins to help you get that - I mean yeah content I think that's a

that that's a given right I mean we we started with email marketing and I think

content is included within that because you you can also automate the process of

delivery as well yeah Librium process you can have a

physical book and what I made it like literally there's companies done that

can remember right now the company but there's companies that don't create the

book for you like disk calm and so forth yeah there you go that's one and they'll

created book patches another one you know they'll created it he'll send it

you know like I have a newsletter you know the karmis fucking inner circle

that every single month I put out a newsletter a physical newsletter that

you can hold in your hand you know like this one and this isn't mine this is

Frank's you know you know Frank Kern our mentor and you know that goes out no

matter what so all I do I write my

my newsletter yeah and you know I put together the like the

titling of the cover and so forth and I said one little email and you know

for that entire month it goes out to every single person I don't have to

worry about the shipping I don't have to worry about the printing or anything

like that I just said I do my work I send it out you know I said one email

and every single one of my customers gets it to their door there you go

that's it that's it that's automation baby that's it yeah I mean it's

everything is everything in this everywhere um the the the content by

itself by the way so because when I think of content it's it's almost like

you know how you were talking about segmentation that you can actually send

different pieces of content to different groups of people as well yeah another

thing that I like is when you send reports or digital information right

there is Amazon s3 right you that we just well Carter has it already but even

before card draw you can actually get into that and have all your information

uploaded to the server and there was a link to it automatically people will get

it so man this it's it's just so many things you know like in my personal life

I automate you know a lot of my financial stuff like in the morning time

so this is the level of automation so I've got tons of different bank accounts

in multiple different banks across the country and I use a system that draws in

every single bit of financial data that I have on all of my accounts all my

spending all of my my you know incoming my income coming in and everything

it automatically you know puts it into a certain program that

print off a report and it will be sitting on my printer in the morning

time at 8:00 a.m. it just art spinning I don't even need to do anything no I

don't even need to hit print yeah the morning time 8:00 a.m. that

that printer goes off and it starts printing out my report for that morning

yeah so I can go over every little bit of my

financial statement wow that's awesome then that is ultimate automation right

there what up what what do you think though when when that happens to you

like when you gather all the information how did you started like that or was

there a point that you started with something simple like Excel sheets or or

things like that because of course you know a lot of times you have to start

simple you know just use a pure and and set it Google Docs you know Google

sheets or something like right you know what yeah and you know what I did i I

went above and beyond because I love automation so much I actually hired a

programmer my own programmer okay to build certain systems for me nice you

know it's cost a lot of money but in the end it saved me a hundred times more

that's right you know because I don't have to worry about those things anymore

yeah and like the system that that pulls in from all the different banks that I

have and puts together a financial statement and report for me like that

was a custom-built software and and so I I don't have to to do anything like that

like I I don't there's probably something like that now on the market

but why was custom built you know for me but you know start simple and and just

build from there but you need to look at you know everything that you do and if

you do it more than once and you know you're gonna be able to do it again or

you know you that you're going to have to do it again you need to find a way to

either automate it yeah or delegate it or delegate the

automation even you know whether it be you have your

do it whatever all right you need to find a way to get it off your plate that

way it leaves room and time for the much more important things that need to be

done yeah yeah especially events you know what part of automation you know is

delegation and you know I'm putting on an event in May big event and I'm not

setting up anything I'm hiring people to do it for me they're gonna fight they're

getting the booking the the location they're doing all the camerawork they're

setting me up you know all the presentation stuff that the you know two

big screens and all that all that hoopla you know they're setting everything else

I'm not doing squat I am gonna show up do you mock my presentation teach you

know like it's absolutely insane this is a three day workshop that I'm doing and

but that's it I'm just gonna show up do my thing and leave everything else is

taken care of delegation automation oh absolutely absolutely can't ask for

anything more I think I think I think everybody gets the point you know it

doesn't matter where where you are in your path in your business you know you

can start it you can be starting right now

and there are waste thanks technology there are ways to automate

your process big huge major point here is knowing what you want yeah absolutely

because if you don't know what you want that's thinking no matter what other

other software's and texts of that there's a double second is really at the

end is is practically just deciding making that decision to you know what is

the repetition the one that you do the most yep looking at it can you automate

it can you delegate it or I like what you said

you delegate the automation that's right that's a step further you always get me

to the step further man I always get a patient every time this leg every time

it that's like what okay you know but yeah so it doesn't matter where you are

you know in in it helps let's take advantage of what we have the the last

piece of tech that I just saw not that I saw it's been out already but it's from

the iPhone they actually created their own ftt thing nicely coated I don't know

they call it some type of for the Siri thing but it's really cool I was just

looking at it last night because I haven't actually looked at it to use it

but what we're talking about that's actually one of the things that it does

automate things you know so it's everywhere no excuse and I think the

major like I said made your part is that you need to know what you want you know

it last thing I'll pretty much say about it because you know we've pretty much

stopped this horse but you know automation is not a set it

and forget it type thing all right but many people think and and I did for a

long time that you know I set it up once and I never have to think about it again

that's not necessarily the case right now automation is setting it up so that

you don't have to do it but it doesn't necessarily not require management right

right you know it just you know it's you don't

have to do as much you know like let's just say my split testing right like I

said earlier I still go in and look at the numbers and stuff you know from the

time it's it's not that you know I just yeah I do it once and I never have to

touch it again I still gotta go back I still have to look at the data and then

come up with another split test to automate all right so it's not a

one-and-done necessarily some things are yeah right some things are but you know

some a lot of it requires a little bit of management you know

let's just take this this text that I got a few minutes ago with the

notification that someone there payment went through right then I got

from zapier well if I move away from Cara for whatever reason guess what I

gotta go back and redo the entire thing mm-hmm

so it's not just a one and done I might have to go back and manage that right

right you know you can use a spreadsheet and something like I do I use Google

sheets I am completely addicted into you know

the Google ecosystem and you know I use Google sheets and I like I have a list

of absolutely everything that that I automate and you know where it is the

link to to where it's being automated what it's being you know what is being

automated and so forth so that if anything breaks down I know I just look

okay what is okay it's this item and it's being done here yeah yeah and I go

deal with that right right so but again it's not a magic it's not a magic

there's no magic pill magic formula magic nothing and you have to still put

the work and you're right management is important but you know another piece to

that is understanding also the process you know because if you just for example

for me I can't just say Oh deal with it and that mo what they're doing or why

they're doing it I can't do that yeah I have to be aware of how that works so

that way when I can't manage you know okay make sense but a lot of times I've

made that mistake you know I I actually gave it away and all the sudden I lost

time money effort energy because I didn't know really what was really

happening when I came came down to management I trusted too much on the

system on the process so you know it's a learning process

yeah it's the work the work is still there but you're absolutely right cuts

down on a lot of your time the unnecessary time that you can be using

somewhere else I cannot tell you and I don't even know

like I honestly I don't and for a person that tracks everything to tell you I

don't know it's crazy but I could not even comprehend how much time my

automations have saved me over the years yeah

like it's it's just insane I mean it's insane

that you just got means like my brain just exploded when you said you've got

all that information coming in and those started every morning in prints out and

it takes a special programmer to create something specific for you but dude

that's like that's also it's something that I don't have to go do it before

like just with the financial statement you know and a report light like I have

every morning you know that used to take me roughly two hours every single

morning for me going in going to you know this account looking at everything

putting everything into my spreadsheet okay now I'm gonna go to this particular

account jot everything down and you know it was absolutely insane it would

literally take me in two hours or more to do it every single day and finally I

was just had I was like I gotta do something about this like I need it done

yeah and you know I wasn't I'm not a very trusting person so I don't want to

delegate the process of you know having someone else go into the into my

personal accounts and grab all this information so I I just hired a

programmer said okay this is what I need done and it how long did it take it took

probably about six months or so to actually create the software uh you know

to do everything and get it the way that I wanted but now it's done yeah now I

save two hours every single day and if I want at a click of a button it'll do it

any time that I want you know so you know right now it's eight o'clock in the

morning to boom it starts pumping it out but I could set it up for eight o'clock

and maybe six o'clock at night maybe I want to do it and evening you know study

what what happened during the day yeah yeah that's awesome that's just awesome

so what else man any any other wisdom words think outside the box you know to

automate to automate you really have to think out of the box in you know I will

tell you a good majority of my automate it's game for my wife telling me

something that's cool oh why don't you automate that wait oh I just thought

about that you know you know think out of the box you know get some help if you

can but try to automate every little aspect of your business every little

aspect of your personal life that you possibly can like I automate you know my

family gets you know Christmas cards and birthday cards and all that stuff

automatically I don't got to do anything no I put in their birthday into the

system you know I put in a couple of small little you know tweaks and

personalizations here and there and every year they get cards and I don't

have to even think about cuz I'm terrible with stuff like that yeah and

you know I only do it for my family you know for friends and so forth I I

personally like to to do it personally yeah simply because it's it's a little

bit more personal my family it's just my family gonna love whatever I get but you

know like I had you know a couple of my friends live lives in California that

one year I decided I'm gonna send them a couple of tickets to Cirque de Soleil

right well I I can't just automate that process right something I just have to

do yeah I know right but it's a lot more personal and I actually hand-wrote which

it's not something that I do often I like typing I'm a very very quick this

is here right here yeah I type like I actually just did a test recently

hundred and twenty two words a minute like that's that's desde yeah yeah I was

always about a hundred hundred and five but somehow I just got faster or maybe

it was just that one test was just a fluke but 122 words a minute so I I'm

big in a typing but this thing I don't like this

like a barbaric I gotta tell you all so we were at the event together and Landa

wherever that was here's karma with the computer right so

here I'm ready to rock he's ready to rock we both pulled out our utility and

things too to jot down notes yeah he pulls out this computer that laptop that

he just got for that event you know I just bought it just for that event and

here I go and and I pull out a pen and a notepad then notepad and then my

recorder and you know but it's it's funny to see the exit so here you can

say that because you were like that you like and Here I am okay again it's a

it's like you know the second he starts talking is I do and I've done on the

first day that I talked to the guy that sat to the left of me he had asked me

like how fast you type and he saw me and he was like like yes he's like how fast

you tired that's cool so that's weird yeah out of the box thank you for that

because you just yeah I just didn't think about that right so delegate

automation that's on something out of the box that that's a man so that's all

I got that's all you got you got anything else

dude no I that's all I got I think we we definitely hit this up Jake big-time and

automation it's it's what is all about use technology let's get it done
