Welcome to the 43rd episode of my knife making channel.

I've got some walnut root squares acquired,

I'd like to use for the next knife handles.

Walnut root has a beautiful grain but it's pretty soft.

That's why I want to stabilize the wood with resin.

First I want to saw it apart so that I can choose the best pieces for stabilization.

The wood is aged for 18 years.

During this time it was with a thick wax layer protected from drying out too quickly.

That's the first shift I'm gonna drag down.

On the basis of the grain on the outer surfaces I'll make myself a plan,

how I'm gonna best saw the squares open.

Then I'll saw the first piece through lengthwise.

The escaping air foams up in the resin.

You always have to turn off the vacuum pump and wait for the foam to settle.

So I changed my mind.

Here I test my idea with a prototype and with water instead of resin.

My goal is to first remove the air from the wood and then add the resin.

However, the resin must be in the vacuum chamber together with the wood from the beginning.

That's why I've constructed something with the the vessel can be dumped in the vacuum chamber.

With a pair of magnets, I pull inside on a thread that dumps the vessel.

Here you can see the principle.

The thread is tensioned.

The end of the thread pulls through the redirection at the bottom of the vessel with the resin.

From the prototype I have the next day a version built with Fischer Technik.

The magnets are amazing.

They are called neodymium magnets and are unbelievable strong.

However, they do not adhere to the vacuum chamber like my normal magnets.

Right now, I need to figure out how to position the construction,

so that the resin can also be put into the container with the wood and not miss it.

Yes, it could work that way...

Next thing I know, I'm gonna saw myself a specimen I'm gonna test it all with.

It comes in a bowl and is covered with a screw and a rubber band,

so it can't float up.

I got myself a two-component casting resin, which has a long processing time,

before it begins to harden.

And it's thin enough that it's not wood can be absorbed.

And I've got a suitable dye I'd like to add to the resin.

Everything's ready.

Now the resin can be mixed.

With the help of the scale I fill exactly 100 g resin into the measuring cup.

Then some dye is added and finally exactly 45 g of hardener.

Now everything's mixing well.

Then everything is positioned in the vacuum chamber, as I had practiced before.

Now I can build up the vacuum immediately

and I don't have to care if anything froths up.

The only thing that froths up is the air in the resin,

that had gotten in there by stirring.

The pump can be unloaded.

I've always had the problem in the past,

that oil had risen from the pump in the pipe.

That's why I got the tee, so I can relieve the pump.

After 30 minutes, I hope there's enough air from the wood,

that I can now dump the resin.

But as it turns out, it's much too soon.

Walnut must be exposed to vacuum for much longer than e.g. maple or hammered beech.

The foam formation was no longer so violent, but still clearly visible.

The greatest possible vacuum has been reached and can now remain so until the end.

After a further 30 minutes, there is still air from the wood,

but I'm afraid the resin is starting to harden.

So I'm ending the vacuum.

Much too soon, as it turns out later.

The working time for Resinpal 1717 is actually much longer

than is indicated on the label.

There is still a vacuum in the wood, and because it's immersed in the resin,

it slowly fills with resin.

According to the theory, the level would have to be down according to the time.

I leave the wood now over night in the vacuum.

ok guys so this book was written by Russell Brunson

and if you don't know who he is

he is an online marketer and entrepreneur

who owns the online software called Clickfunnels

and Clickfunnels specializes in creating

sales funnels for your businesses

if you don't know what a sales funnel is, well,

you're gonna have to stick around and subscribe down below because

we'll leave that for another video for another time

but today we are gonna talk about

all the golden nuggets inside this book

and I really I think that Russell Brunson is

one of the smartest marketers in the world

and that's because there are just so many intelligent ideas

inside this book that just makes you wanna go - Oh My God!

I wish I thought of that and they make so much sense

it just makes you feel

I wish I knew that a long time

because it would've changed my business so many years ago

so we are gonna talk about the things that I like about this book

I'm not gonna give you everything inside because

look how many pages there are, there are a lot of pages

I'm just gonna give you some of my favorite things that

Russell mentions inside the book

and I'm gonna explain a little bit about them so

the first thing I like about the book is that there are

so many sketches as you can probably see

and that's because Russell Brunson

is the kinda guy who likes to draw

and sketch when he's teaching and explaining

or even learning coz he's a visual person

just like all of us you know he's so simple

and down to earth. What I like about this book is it

it really dives into the psychology of marketing

it's not complicated and it's not scientific

and it's not it doesn't make you go like

I didn't understand that like I need someone to explain this to me

no it's so it's so simple to understand

but it's so genius

The first chapter in the book talks about your

and the importance of having an attractive character and sharing it with people

because

look come to think of it if you wanna sell something to someone

remember people on buy from people they know,

like and trust. They're not gonna buy from a stranger

they're not gonna buy random things like imagine if you were

on vacation walking down the street and then someone a boy or a girl

comes up to you and goes

hey i got this you wanna buy?

no you're not gonna buy because you don't know them

they're a stranger you're even gonna think they're weird

go away

so you have to really show your attractive character

tell your back story and

he even talks about the importance of

showing your vulnerability and your imperfections

because c'mon like nobody likes a smartass

and nobody likes a perfect person

because there is no such thing as a perfect person

and a perfect life

if you wanna connect with people and

you want them to like you you're gonna have to be relatable

and nobody is perfect so you have to be imperfect

just like everyone else so

say for example the story of Superman

we all know who Superman is. He is like a super hero

and he is the hero of the world

but then he tells his story and

we all know that he's got the weakness of Kryptonite.

Like his weakness is Kryptonite

and so that's why we like him because we can relate to him

we know he has a weakness and despite that weakness

he was able to overcome all the battles

and freakin save the day

yea so that's how you get people to like you

to trust you and to relate to you

Another thing that I like about the story

about what's (sorry) about what's in the book is called

and I especially like this because I

I have been through this so many times in my life

now the epiphany brigde story is basically

when you have an epiphany ok, when you discover

something, when you like

what you're seeing and you get so excited about it

and you learn about it and you research about it

and you're so excited that you wanna go and tell your friends and your family

and then when you go and tell it to them, they're just like...

they don't understand you and the reason why

is because it's what you call Techno Babble

you are you are talking in a language called

Techno Babble where you've done the research

you've done all the all the

discovering and all that

and you've learned about it and you learn all these words

and these terms and then when you introduce it to someone

they just don't they don't know what you're talking about

that's because you start to be scientific

you start to be a smartass and they

haven't had the epiphany that you had so

that's that's the the like

that's the dealbreaker right there you know like

people are not gonna buy from you because they don't understand you

so when you explain something to someone

when you introduce something to someone

you have to bring them back to where you had

the epiphany you have to talk

to them like a third grader that's how

like people can relate to third graders because

we're all not that smart

i mean except Russell Brunson

There was one time in my life, once upon a time

I was going through like a really depressing time and

I searched on Google out of depression and like

desperation I searched like how to

how to how to like be happy and then

I came across this thing called Hypnotherapy

and

some of you probably don't even know what Hypnotherapy is

some of you might do but Hypnotherapy is kinda like

umm, you have two minds you have

a conscious mind that knows what's going on

what's aware of everything and you have a

subconscious mind and Hypnotherapy is

it's basically a therapy of like fixing your

subconscious mind because your subconscious

mind controls 90% of your life

If I spoke like this like to someone they're not gonna understand

because

They're like- What? I thought you control your mind

Your mind doesn't control you. But one way

that he explains inside the book one way to counteract that is

when you're saying something

and when you say a word that people don't know like Hypnotherapy

you have to follow up with the word with saying

"it's kinda like"... so and so

so you have to explain what it is in third grader

language so Hypnotherapy

it's kinda like you know brainwashing

your mind into becoming positive

and you know feeding it with the right thoughts

every single day so that's

how you explain to people you have to take it

slow don't just say sentences that people just don't

don't relate to. One other thing he mentioned in the book is called

Opportunity Stack and this is really interesting because

when people are looking for something to buy

you have to present them with either

so say for example

you are on the Atkins diet and it's not working out

for you and you know like you just know

it's not gonna happen so if you try and sell them

an Atkins like candy bar or (sorry) a

a protein bar. They're not gonna buy it because

it's just not working for them so you have to give them

an Opportunity Switch. Tell them- Oh I have this new

new thing it's called Keto or you know

whatever else diet there is. Try it out like it's

an Opportunity Switch. It's a new opportunity that they wanna

test it out and see if it does work. Try and

give people a whole new opportunity, show them

the whole new opportunity that your

product or service can give to them

And on the other hand if they're

already in the opportunity that you're providing then

you can do what Russell calls

and Opportunity Stack is basically

I have this book and I'm selling it for $10 but if you buy this book

but that's not all you've also got

subconsciously because you are asking them these simple

questions where the only answer is Yes

then they are already agreeing with you before you are even asking them

to buy your stuff

then if they agree voluntarily then they most probably

are going to buy your products because inside

they know that you are right

erosive effect on democracy for instance.

And yet there is no other way than to talk about these issues, to tackle these challenges

with each other, together. With other human beings, thought leaders and practitioners

that one of our fantastic clients the innovation region Mittweida in eastern Germany

will bring together to a conference, a premiere that we have the opportunity

to co-design. We gave it the title The Human Conference.

And it´s going to take place in Mittweida in March, 26th and 27th.

Former Matildas defender Ellyse Perry says questions need to be answered, as secrecy continues to shroud the sensational sacking of Australia's national women's soccer team coach Alen Stajcic

Before Perry dedicated her sporting talents solely to cricket, she represented the national soccer team from 2007 and trained under Stajcic with the Matildas in 2014

The pair also worked together for two years during her time with Sydney FC (2012–2016)

"I have had the fortune of knowing Alen for almost 20 years now, he was my coach when I played football and I have the utmost respect for him," Perry said

"It's pretty hard to have a clear understanding of what's happening, not working or existing in that environment — but there has been a lot of questions raised

" Perry made her international debut in both cricket and soccer at 16 years of age

After 18 caps for Australia, she was not named in the national soccer team in 2014 as it was deemed she was unable to fully commit to both sports

The 45-year-old Stajcic had been in the top job since 2014 and was unexpectedly dismissed this week

Having guided the team through one of its most successful eras, reaching fourth in the FIFA world rankings, the move to replace Stajcic came as a shock to many

Football Federation Australia (FFA) has said the decision was in part based on two confidential surveys, conversations with players and staff and that the situation had deteriorated in recent months

FFA has given little detail away about the sacking, and few players have made public comment either

Australia is considered one of the title challengers for the ultimate prize in women's soccer, the World Cup in June hosted by France

Perry fears the change in leadership could be a huge disruption for the squad. "It's a very delicate situation and it's going to be very hard to rebuild when you lose your coach but I am sure they will forge on," Perry said

Perry said she had been following the coaching developments in the media but had not been in contact with the players about how they were feeling

In November, the Matildas recorded their first loss on home soil since 2014, going down 3-2 to Chile in Sydney

The team is currently ranked sixth in the world. The fallout from the sacking continued, with the Association of Australian Football Clubs (AAFC) writing to members of the FIFA Congress calling for an independent inquiry into Stajcic's dismissal

"Of course, we cannot comment on the decision taken to dismiss Mr Stajcic — not least because the members of the football community have not been offered a proper reason," the letter, from AAFC chairman Rabieh Krayem, stated

"However, we can comment on the way in which it was done, the lack of transparency around the decision, the abysmal communication around it, and the actions of the deputy chairman of the FFA board in sending messages and/or private tweets to individuals … and also giving interviews that could well be considered defamatory to Mr Stajcic

" The new FIFA Congress ordered the installation of a new FFA board last November

"You must now act on behalf of the football community to insist on a proper independent investigation of the issues; not just related to the dismissal of Mr Stajcic, but the broader issues implicit in his dismissal concerning the management and operations of the women's game in Australia," the letter from AAFC stated

The FFA is yet to appoint a replacement coach, but there has been more movement, with the resignation of Matildas goalkeeping coach Paul Jones

"FFA would like to thank Paul Jones for his valuable contribution to Women's Football in Australia and wishes him well for his future endeavours," FFA said in a statement

Jones had been with the Matildas since Stajcic brought him back into the fold in 2014

FFA said it would announce a new goalkeeping coach "in the near future"

You can also create an appointment in your calendar

and you'll see it in your Tesla and can just

press on the appointment.

If there is an address available

the car will use that address for the navigation.

You can also share the address or coordinates

from Google Maps or your calendar

to the Tesla app on your smart phone.

Then the destination will appear on your screen.

If I share the address from Google Maps

and select to share it with the Tesla app,

then it will appear on the screen.

Then you're ready to start driving.

Time for me to have some lunch.

It's possible to charge here, but I will

have so much energy left in the battery when arriving

so I will not charge here.

Otherwise it would have been a perfect stop

for charging and then continue the drive but

We'll see what the temperature is, it was

a couple of degrees below zero before

so it will most likely be around zero degrees.

The temperature was -3°C.

The estimated consumption was accurate.

The car even consumed a bit less then estimated.

I arrived at home and

it took just below 3 hours to drive.

The car estimates based on my last 50 km of driving

that I can drive another 217 km.

I have 40% battery charge left.

And the best part is this...

Tomorrow, we can do this all over again

without going to a gas station!

My First AliExpress Stationary Haul - Duration: 11:00.

Hello there! Today I'm going to do an AliExpress stationery Haul.

I ordered around the end of December last year 2018 and I just waited all of my

orders so that I can show you all together. They actually came one by one

in different days so I have 11 small packages to open and let's start it !

So the first package is ... let's see what's inside ...

Oh it's my confetti and I got a

gift from the seller let's open it, it's a

pin "scary cute" oh thank you so much. I put it

there and this is my gold and silver star confetti and the second one is some

sticky notes

another sticky notes and then fourth package is two golden book clips. The fifth package

is two white sticky notes, next is a grid gray sticky notes and then some black

and white price tag and then a silvery pinky star confetti after that is a box

of masking tapes it's a bit crumpy but it's okay

before the last one is some stickers and the last package is... a set of silicon

calendar stamps. So let's see them one by one, I'll start from this crumpy box

first is a set of masking tapes.

They are just basic colors like this one okay just put here and then here

are some glitters ,maybe for some decorations..

Then the next are black and white price tag.

Daily plan, let's remove the plastic

yeah I'll try it later.

I think I got something similar...yes another daily plan but in pink.

Small sticky notes that looks like folder dividers, these are so cute sticky notes

like a ticket, so cute!

And then I got these

And then lastly stickers.

I just made some place for my notebook so let's run some tests on it, shall we?

Alright so I'll try the first sticky note it's a blue horizontal line with

two orange vertical lines on it that's so nice and then the second one is

something similar but instead of blue it's brown lines and I think that I

just read something random on it that crossed my mind like to-do list okay

uhm, okay.. groceries

and then laundry

and...

the last one

let say ... mailing

and on the other sticky notes i'll write

birthday this month

list, let's say it.

Alright I try this grid gray sticky notes I love this one so much that's why

I also bought the dusty pink one too, they look so nice

and then this tiny sticky notes they are so cute. I just bought them because I found

them fun and small I guess.So I would mostly write some quotes or

important notes on it. They actually came in five different models and they all

look like vintage ticket or coupons and they're all pretty.

So I just paste them better with my glue stick. Alright

looking great all together. Let's try the folder divider look like sticky notes

they have three different lengths and I try the shortest one so for the next one

I'll cut the body and keep the tip.

so I put some glue on it because this part is not sticky

I think that it can be header solution perhaps such as write Monday

so now I want to try the masking tape I'll take the light blue.

I quite like this size of tape they are slimmer than the normal one

I think it will good here perfect

So I'm going to put a sticker

just put it here maybe

Oh,wow it looks so nice I like

the texture let's try the price tag too.

cut some string

and then put a tie on it

like this simply. Right there okay then where should I put it let's put some

glue on it first then let's say we'll put it here and then I'll write something

nice on it like "be happy" yes be happy with a smiley of course

then let's try with the glitters.

this bag has different sizes of stars so I think that it's a good idea to mix

small medium and large stars and then the other bag of confetti are smaller

stars with a hint of rainbow silvery color. So alright this is a close-up look

Please admire! Those the star add some sparkly and magical look. I so love it!

My First AliExpress Stationary Haul - Duration: 11:00.

Hello there! Today I'm going to do an AliExpress stationery Haul.

I ordered around the end of December last year 2018 and I just waited all of my

orders so that I can show you all together. They actually came one by one

in different days so I have 11 small packages to open and let's start it !

So the first package is ... let's see what's inside ...

Oh it's my confetti and I got a

gift from the seller let's open it, it's a

pin "scary cute" oh thank you so much. I put it

there and this is my gold and silver star confetti and the second one is some

sticky notes

another sticky notes and then fourth package is two golden book clips. The fifth package

is two white sticky notes, next is a grid gray sticky notes and then some black

and white price tag and then a silvery pinky star confetti after that is a box

of masking tapes it's a bit crumpy but it's okay

before the last one is some stickers and the last package is... a set of silicon

calendar stamps. So let's see them one by one, I'll start from this crumpy box

first is a set of masking tapes.

They are just basic colors like this one okay just put here and then here

are some glitters ,maybe for some decorations..

Then the next are black and white price tag.

Daily plan, let's remove the plastic

yeah I'll try it later.

I think I got something similar...yes another daily plan but in pink.

Small sticky notes that looks like folder dividers, these are so cute sticky notes

like a ticket, so cute!

And then I got these

And then lastly stickers.

I just made some place for my notebook so let's run some tests on it, shall we?

Alright so I'll try the first sticky note it's a blue horizontal line with

two orange vertical lines on it that's so nice and then the second one is

something similar but instead of blue it's brown lines and I think that I

just read something random on it that crossed my mind like to-do list okay

uhm, okay.. groceries

and then laundry

and...

the last one

let say ... mailing

and on the other sticky notes i'll write

birthday this month

list, let's say it.

Alright I try this grid gray sticky notes I love this one so much that's why

I also bought the dusty pink one too, they look so nice

and then this tiny sticky notes they are so cute. I just bought them because I found

them fun and small I guess.So I would mostly write some quotes or

important notes on it. They actually came in five different models and they all

look like vintage ticket or coupons and they're all pretty.

So I just paste them better with my glue stick. Alright

looking great all together. Let's try the folder divider look like sticky notes

they have three different lengths and I try the shortest one so for the next one

I'll cut the body and keep the tip.

so I put some glue on it because this part is not sticky

I think that it can be header solution perhaps such as write Monday

so now I want to try the masking tape I'll take the light blue.

I quite like this size of tape they are slimmer than the normal one

I think it will good here perfect

So I'm going to put a sticker

just put it here maybe

Oh,wow it looks so nice I like

the texture let's try the price tag too.

cut some string

and then put a tie on it

like this simply. Right there okay then where should I put it let's put some

glue on it first then let's say we'll put it here and then I'll write something

nice on it like "be happy" yes be happy with a smiley of course

then let's try with the glitters.

this bag has different sizes of stars so I think that it's a good idea to mix

small medium and large stars and then the other bag of confetti are smaller

stars with a hint of rainbow silvery color. So alright this is a close-up look

Please admire! Those the star add some sparkly and magical look. I so love it!
