Trump's Immigrant Crime Database Has Backfired Spectacularly - Duration: 3:55.

A little over a year ago, Donald Trump took a page out of Germany's playbook from the

1930s and '40s and decided to create a database with a hotline for immigrant crime.

Basically what this thing was, was you could call the phone number, ask about the immigration

status of somebody, ask about their criminal record, or, most importantly, report that

you had been the victim of a crime at the hands of an illegal immigrant here in the

United States.

Well, as it turned out, a lot of people did call that hotline that Donald Trump set up

with this VOICE program is what it's called.

It's the Victim of Immigration Crime Engagement, which, I don't know, that's not even a complete

sentence, but that's what they called it because they're morons.

Anyway, we just got a report for their first quarter of operation and it turns out, yes,

a lot of people called the hotline, but almost all of them were calling with something that

had nothing to do with immigrants.

There were a couple hundred out of almost 5,000 where people were actually calling to

either report a crime committed by an immigrant or question the status of an immigrant.

The remainder were completely unrelated and they include calls such as people reporting

Melania Trump as an illegal immigrant, people reporting that coyotes were eating their cats,

people reporting that space aliens had come down and were wreaking some kind of havoc

on their property, and one woman who actually called to say that there was an illegal immigrant

who snuck into her garden every night to eat her vegetables.

Now, most of the calls ... Oh, and there were also some where people trying to make reservations

at Trump Hotels.

That's the kind of calls that this database received and Donald Trump thought it was going

to be the perfect way to highlight the fact that every single immigrant in this country

is absolutely a criminal.

Unfortunately, the statistics, even the data from this VOICE program, do not back that

up.

According to statistics outside of this VOICE program, crimes committed by immigrants here

in the United States, both legal and illegal, is actually falling.

Fewer people are falling victims to crimes committed by immigrants.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump has stopped at nothing to convince us that everyone trying to cross

that border or come into this country from one of those countries he just banned that

the Supreme Court upheld, they're going to kill you.

They're going to rape you.

They're going to steal from you.

When, in reality, you're much more likely to be killed, raped, murdered, whatever, or

robbed by your white neighbor than you are the people coming across this border.

But Trump knows he has to sell his immigration policies, he knows he has to get his base

drummed up, and that's why this program was created.

I'm not kidding.

This is the same thing that happened in Germany in the '30s and '40s where people could call

to report crimes committed by Jewish people.

It was to get people to turn against Jewish people.

That allowed the Germans at the time, H*****, to do whatever they wanted with them.

Donald Trump literally is copying their playbook.

Hopefully, people understand that it's not true.

Hopefully, people understand that they're less likely to be killed by an immigrant and

more likely to be killed by a white person walking down the street, but that's not what

this administration what's you to think.

But that is the reality in which we live.

Immigrants are far safer to be around than the crazy people who call themselves Trump

supporters.

Hay! No-line Masked Watercolor - Duration: 10:05.

HAY everybody! :) In today's video I am going to do a no

line masked watercolor using some add-ons from the July Hero Arts kit.

To begin with, I am using some Inkon3 fade-out ink - you know this is my

favorite for no-line watercoloring, and I'm stamping this little goat onto some

Fabriano cold press watercolor paper, also my favorite. I am super predictable

like that! I'm using my Daniel Smith

watercolors. I have two splits from my watercolor

split group set up in a single palette. What I do when I get these palettes is I

remove the insert and I use museum putty to hold the half pans into the pallet.

Museum putty is that sticky stuff that doesn't hurt your walls when you put it

behind a picture to keep it straight, and that way I can get two of the splits

into one palette. Each of my watercolor splits has between 20 and 30 colors in

it. I have one split that's really large - the

iridescent split! If you want more information on

Please answer the questions that I asked that are required for group membership -

that seems to be something people feel like is optional but it's not. :)

Now on this goat I've put down a base color and then I'm going back with sepia,

which is kind of my favorite neutral dark brown,

and I'm doing little flicking strokes to give him sort of a fur look

on his back and a little bit on his head, and then I'm also shading him with the

sepia. It's funny - the sepia Daniel Smith to me

isn't what I think of as sepia, I think of sepia as a warm, vintage brown and

this is really quite a neutral brown to me but whatever! I love Daniel Smith - he

can he can call sky-blue sepia and I would believe him, so

there's that!

My brush is the Escoda versatil travel brush, which I love. It's the number 2,

which is kind of my favorite,

because I can get this little detail like here. It holds a point really

well, and I tend to paint very small anyway

when I'm not doing my watercolor challenge which actually started

yesterday - and I'm working in my sketchbook there so I tend to use bigger

brushes there for larger images, which intimidate me, I'm not going to lie!

Now I've already stamped and cut out masks for each of the animals in the set,

and I'm going to mask off the goat and you're going to see a series of disasters

unfold here and that's okay, that's what can happen with masking! Masking forces

you to think backwards, and that's something I'm not really good at so

you'll see what happens as this goes on. But I'm stamping the hay-bale image over

the masked goat so that it looks like he's standing on the hay bale, and so far

it works, right? So far you're with me, but just wait!

So what I love about this ink is when you're using a classic watercolor

pigment the pigment actually grabs the ink lines and makes them more prominent

while you're painting which is magical and perfect for no-line watercolor. It

allows me to retain the detail on the hay-bale and kind of see where the

little bands that hold the hay-bale together are. While I put in some of this

detail of the actual hay with Aussie red gold one of my fave colors so I have

burnt sienna light or sorry - raw sienna light

on the hay bale, and then Aussie red gold for the

little pieces of hay that are sticking out,

and then sepia for the little bands, and I soften those lines out to just make

them look like they're set back a little bit. Now the first disaster that happened

was I thought that I hit record when I was masking and stamping the pig, the

bunny and the goose, and I didn't so imagine my surprise when

I've already painted the whole dang pig and I look up and there's no red button

on my phone! Imagine my surprise!

So I said some unladylike words and then I hit record

and sorry you can see my headphones here because I'm listening to a podcast while

I paint - that's what I do! Anyway, I masked the hay-bale and

stamped the pig, I masked the hay bale and stamped the bunny, and then I masked

the bunny and stamped the goose, so that's what you missed.

However what you also missed while I stamped the hay bale and the goat is that

suddenly physics has stopped working with this little scene and

some things are kind of floating over on the right hand side, and I'm going to have

to fix that! So I'm starting to fix it on the left hand side

where the bunny is sort of falling off the face of the earth, and the pig is

floating, so magically gravity isn't working on one side and it's working on

the other side. I don't know - it's stamping, I'm not going to get too

wound up about it, but it is bothering me so I am going to have to fix it a little

bit later. I'm using sepia again as the grounding

element for these images just sort of going around the bottom of the images

and then fading it out a little bit towards the bottom of the page.

No need to paint in a bunch of detail there, I mean I've already spent

an hour on this, which you couldn't see, but it is what it

is, so just a little bit of something to anchor the parts of this where gravity is

working, and then I'm going to work on the pig. And that's where I'm like "ooh this

doesn't make any sense - the bottom of the hay bale is like floating up around the

pigs belly!" How does that kind of a thing even happen if we're not in some sort of

Harry Potter book? I don't know but you can do all things with

watercolor so never fear I'm ignoring it for now and I'm working on the bunny's

ear, and I'm like "whoa

I see what's happening!" So I'll add a little shadow, I mean it's clear that the

goose is behind the bunny but you do need to add shading just to really

indicate their position in regard to each other, so here's where I fix the

gravity. The first thing I'm going to do is I'm going to make the hay a little

bit darker because I now see that I have to cover up like half of this pig and in

order to do that I have to overcome that pink and his little hoof, so I'm

extending the wrapping of the bale down a little bit and then I'm actually

adding some sepia shading to the hay bale to extend that back side of it down

in front of the pigs leg, and actually make it look like it's connected to the

earth and not some sort of magic carpet made out of hay! So you can fix anything

with watercolor - don't believe anybody who tells you you can't.

to be things that you would see at a state or county fair and so they're

Sony RX100 VI what I'm afraid of - Review - Duration: 5:22.

I am super excited today because Sony has announced the Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 VI

Bonjour chers amis fans of new technologies

and welcome back to my channel.

If it's your first time here and you like reviews, tutorials, and vlogs

you should consider subscribing.

So why am I excited about this new Sony camera?

The previous model had a lot of magnificent features

I would love to have had on a camera…but it was pricey and I couldn't invest another

thousand euros in a camera….

What changed today with the new model? Well, not much in the price department ( $1,198.00)

BUT let me tell you more about the sony RX-100

It has an incredible 24-200mm equivalent optical zoom lens and practically the same form factor

as every other model in the compact series.

It still has of course all the marvelous features the previous models has, which means UHD 4K

video, super-slow-motion recording, speedy autofocus that can lock on in just 0.03 seconds,

and a refined set of controls, though now there is quite a bit more that makes this

a true next-gen release.

Its sensor also has focal-plane phase-detection AF points for faster, more precise focusing.

The RX 100 VI is able to lock onto subjects quickly, in just ...I know I'm going to repeat myself but I'm impressed 0.03 seconds, and it can

use AF tracking when shooting at 24 fps.

Able to record UHD 4K video at 24 to 30 frames per seconds, this camera, is capable of producing

movies with great clarity.

Speed is also a huge advantage of the RX100 VI, and, in video mode, users will benefit

from advanced High Frame Rate shooting and super slow motion.

In Full HD for example, videographers will have access to a standard 120 frame per seconds

setting that will enable outstanding slow motion.

It has a built-in Wi-Fi connectivity that enables instant transferring of imagery to

mobile devices if you want to share your photos directly on your social network, or by email,

for example.

It also supports NFC (Near Field Communication), which allows for one-touch connection between

the camera and compatible mobile devices, with no complex set-up required.

Now I'm not going to talk about all the features because I don't have it …yet.

But I can tell you what I'm afraid of !

There is still a maximum 5 minutes time recording in 4K.

It looks like shooting in 4K still involves a lot of process for this tiny camera and

the operation builds up a lot of heat.

The camera is so small that there is really no easy way to dissipate that heat .

So it sounds like overheating is still a problem on this new camera.

There is still no microphone input on the camera ! So for vloggers it's won't be

the ideal camera.

So those 2 important things are now making me doubt whether

I want to sacrifice more than a thousand euros on this camera. But the other options are

quiet tempting.

Oh I almost forgot : when will this camera be available for purchase?

Well the pre-order has started on June the 7th , and

The Sony RX100 VI is scheduled to go on sale in early July with a retail price of $1,200

USD.

This is the priciest amongst RX100-series model to date, as the RX100 V debuted with

a $1,000 USD price tag.

So tell me? At that price and with all the pro's and con's will you buy this camera?

I am very tempted to buy it but I'm waiting for my monetization

to be switched on, who knows by the end of this year

today it's Sunday

I'm on my way to a gathering

soon I am going to fly to Bø in Telemark

the vlog is going to be published tomorrow

we have started to film a bit earlier than we usually do

but we had to do it like that

Ola are going to Bø later this week

he is going to film the ski competitions

it will be cool

it's important to have Ola there

because then we get quality on the clips

now we are just going to the airport and fly to Bø

today is a long travel-day

I think we just start here

and we'll see what the day will bring

Now I have arrived the hotelroom

I am going to stay here for seven/six days

six sleepovers

from Sunday to Sunday

I think it will be ok

it's so hot here

it's over 25 degrees

we are not used to that in Trondheim

I am used to seven degrees and rain
