Live Better: Controversial Weight Loss Tips: How I Lost My Dad-bod — s2e1 - Duration: 8:35.

Hi, I'm Bill Snodgrass, Welcome to this episode if you are watching this episode

on YouTube you can go down in the description section and see links to the

podcast version and likewise, if you are listening to this on the podcast and would

like to see the video, hop over to youtube.com/bilsnodgrass and you

can see the video of this in this episode I'm gonna talk about

controversial weight loss ideas they're controversial in a sense that I don't

really hear many people talking about these things and these things are just

pretty much the way that I went from dadbod to this not that I'm like in a

great physical specimen or anything but I went from dad bought to someone much

more healthier and I'm better you know relatively easy path what are the these

things most of them are psychological matters that's probably why I don't hear

a lot about them on fitness and wellness channels I'm one however is biology is a

science matter it's just science there's a science aspect to weight loss and that

science aspect is this you got to burn more calories than you take in I don't

you know I don't count calories I count proteins and well I don't count calories

I count fat grams I don't count calories the body converts everything into one of

three things when you eat something it breaks it down into the building blocks

for your body muscle fiber tissue all those amino acids and proteins or

instant short-term potential energy or long-term potential energy long-term

potential energy is fast short term potential energy stored in the muscles

and adenosine triphosphate is something that's going on there so it doesn't

matter what you take in the body is eventually going to convert it into

either energy or building blocks for the body so if you take in more than you

need it's going to be stored for long term potential energy it's gonna be

stored as fat it's gonna storage somewhere wherever your body likes a

store fat that's where it's gonna go cuz you know you never know when there's

gonna be another giant plague of I don't know what the body doesn't know if

you're gonna have food next week so it has extra today it's gonna save it now

then the rest of these things are more psychological and that's probably why I

don't I don't hear a lot of people talking about these psychological things

number one this goes right back into the very first

one portion control portion control we were kind of

programmed in the Western culture that you know clean your plate and I know a

lot of people trying to get away from that well if you're going to be one of

those people who adhere to clean your plate then you need to start with less

if you start with less you will consume less and if you consume less we're back

to that first thing you know that cycle of that and store energy and all that so

you need to consume less and that is portion control and there's a million

ways to count up that portion control but you know the less you thin take the

less you're going to store the less you're gonna have the store the body's

gonna convert it into what it needs and then whatever's left over if you don't

have a whole lot left over so portion control and there's a psychological

aspect to that where when we see a plate full of food and we feel like I mean I'm

not getting my money's worth you go to the if you go to the the fast food

restaurant and you get the Jumbo combo because you know it saves you some money

and you're sitting there looking at about a half a pound of french fries you

don't need a half pound of french fries all right so portion control portion

control number two get a smaller plate when we take that smaller sandwich in

that small portion of potato chips and we put them on a smaller plate

psychologically we see that and it looks like I've got a full plate here this is

gonna be great and we begin to satisfy our psychological need to eat because

eating is one of those things that is a human as a human Drive for foods and yes

it's it's beyond psychology it's it's organic it's built into us we want food

cuz you know without it bad things happen like we die so smaller plate our

mind sees that and goes wow that's looking I need all that mama my mind

never says that because my mind is like you just put that on a smaller plate but

I'm okay with that so put it on a smaller plate number two

one bite at a time one bite at a time what are you talking about

I've seen people who like they'll put that quarter pound on my mouth take off

a big bite and then they'll shove a handful of french fries in and then

before we know it ten seconds later they're whole meals gone part of the

satisfaction of eating is that there's a biological chemical psychological

process that leads to satisfaction and if you rush through all the food that

process never quite gets full-speed going and you finish your meal and

you're still not satisfied so slow down one bite at a time take one bite eat

take a small bite of your cheeseburger and then take one french fry now you're

some you're gonna go oh my gosh this guy was crazy bite it in half chew it that's

number three chew your food there is a psychological response to chewing that

eventually leads to that satisfaction that our body wants to know that we

don't need to eat anything else so eat slowly chew your food chew chew until

you get bored chewing that you you know I'm pretty sure that there's nothing bad

about chewing more than you need to chew so chew until you're like I don't want

you anymore chew as much as you can the more you chew the more satisfaction

you're gonna get from the meal now here's the one that most of you're gonna

go no way I'm not doing that most of you're gonna rappel with this that's

where the real controversy comes in don't do anything except eat when you're

eating focus on eating make it into the event for that period of time that means

but your phone down turn the TV off now you can have conversation with other

people you can have a nice dinner meal where you're talking to people but it is

the dinner meal in the conversation is secondary if you're watching the

football game and you decide you're gonna eat in front of the football game

or basketball game or football soccer or whatever it is hockey baseball

all right covered all them I think I've covered all the seasons if you're

watching a sporting event and eating you're focusing on this morning then and

you're not focusing on the food and so then you just eat it and there's no

psychological satisfaction to so let's run through that really really

really quickly in smaller portion that's going to control the calories in smaller

plate that's gonna psychologically pre-prepare your mind that this is going

to be a satisfying meal one bite at a time

one food at a time the longer you can prolong the eating experience though the

more satisfied you're going to be small bites chew them chewing prolongs eating

experience and chewing also triggers that satisfaction and last this is the

one I tell you the people gonna go yeah I'm not putting my phone away during a

meal just focus on the meal the more attention you can pay to the food that

you're eating the more satisfying it's going to be those are my controversial

my controversial weight loss tips and part of the way that I got rid of pretty

much the whole way I didn't exercise you know that's for

sure I didn't exercise I basically cut back on what I and the way I managed to

continue and do that for the months that I've been doing it in the way I did it

the first time when I lost though the 60 pounds is that those steps those things

a smaller portion and smaller plate chew the food one bite at a time

concentrate on the food let it satisfy you let the smaller portions satisfy

I've worked a like a Clif Bar 250 calories I've worked a Clif Bar for like

15 or 20 minutes that was a snack and not a meal but the longer you can work

that little piece of food the more satisfying it's going to be that's it

for this episode hope you enjoyed it please click the like button share

subscribe all those kind of things leave a comment if it's available it depends

on what player you're listening to it on that's all for this episode I will see

you in the next one

MLB Paychecks, Locker Room Food, and What Gear Do You Get In MLB? - Duration: 11:28.

What's up guys, Coach Madden, yougoprobaseball.com and I'm here with

Matt Antonelli from Antonelli baseball YouTube channel he was a major league

hitter middle infielder Padres organization we played together in that

organization and he's got a great YouTube channel and there's a couple

videos on his channel that are awesome a lot of them that are awesome but there's

a couple that I kind of want to pick your brain about and and have you

elaborate onto in this video the first one is what kind of gear did you get in

the major leagues when you were in the major leagues okay so how it works is

typically your your team is gonna provide you with your jersey top in your

pants and maybe like maybe like a shirt like this but you're not actually gonna

get a lot of stuff from the actual team you'll get your hat too but most of the

stuff you wear like like for me batting gloves cleats anything underneath my

uniform a whole bunch of these dry-fit type shirts wrist bands all that stuff

typically came from whoever your sponsor was so what happens is depending if you

have a sponsor now some guys don't get a sponsor and and we actually play with a

bunch of guys I know a bunch of guys that would show up and they would be

having a go out and buy their stuff that you know wherever they go to Dick's

Sporting Goods or something and buy their stuff so some guys have to get

their own stuff are you typically by the time you get to the major leagues most

guys have deals and so how it worked for me is my agent would set it up so like

my first year when we first played together that very first season

companies were starting to send me stuff and so I'd get like boxes of like some

Nike gear and some adidas gear and I got really lucky on Fort or fortunately for

me I got drafted high and so people wanted to send me stuff after about five

six years they want to take it all away but for a little bit they were actually

sending me stuff and so you know I tried on the stuff and and I told my agent

listen I really like this Nike stuff and plus Nikes a big name and so I said

let's go with Nike so what happens is once you get that sponsorship they start

sending you everything so the type of gear that I would get from them

literally they would send me you know her shoes cleats you'd wear compression

shorts underneath your your uniform if it's cold you get kind of like that cold

gear that long gear stuff you get a ton of these dry fits batting gloves

wristbands all that stuff and if you want more all I would literally do is

tell my agent hey I'm all a lot of batting gloves can I get some more

batting gloves and he would put the order in and within a few days I go to

my locker and there be batting gloves in there so you get kind of spoiled at the

major league level and some guys get spoiled at the minor league level but

again there's a lot of guys that have to get their own stuff and so it really

just depends on a lot of things depends if you're drafted high or low even

though it that's kind of unfair that's the way it kind of works

some guys agents have better connections than others so it really depends but

yeah all that gear all that stuff typically comes from a sponsorship or

through your agency it's pretty in person on traffic and I didn't have any

sponsors but my agent would send me stuff so I don't know if he was going

out and buying it or perhaps maybe the agent has many different players and

they have deals so he has a bunch of stuff and he's sending it to all his

players so it always get a box but for me it was through my through my agent

now one thing I will say is when we were at the Padres we only got like one shirt

one shorts whatever not a whole bunch and they were usually tee and they were

usually at least our years were like cotton like not comfortable like you

know way up here so man they were bad but I will say when I went to the Mets I

walked in the whole Locker was just packed with awesome stuff it was so cool

Spike's turfs really old locker full of just stuff to wear so I will say that

versus the the Padres organization they did the Mets definitely hooked on the

sweet gear for sure I think probably a big market team big money teams era but

I enjoyed that part of it so second question is yep what about the pay in

the major leagues how do you get paid yeah when do you get paid how does that

whole work yeah I think the misconception with pay is that no matter

what level you're at you don't get paid in spring training and you don't get

paid in the offseason and you don't get paid in the playoff if you're the big

leagues you can get you know you win you get some bonuses and stuff

but really you only get paid for that regular season so when we go to spring

training all you get is meal money for spring training and so what happens is

you'd show up and if you're in the minor leagues I think when we were playing it

was like 20 dollars a day I believe for most of the for most of my years and I

think in the big leagues it was $100 a day so you show up you go into your club

and they usually give you cash they'd give you you know in the big leagues you

get $700 in the minor leagues you get one hundred and forty dollars and that's

your money and you got to make that last once the season starts then you finally

get paid whatever it is you get paid so if you're in the major leagues for me I

got League minimum which was my year was four hundred thousand now I think it's

like 550 maybe or something like that somewhere around there and you get paid

every two weeks so it was like the 1st and the 15th I think it was you get your

check and so it's either direct deposit it I think the first year or so I think

I don't know why I did the check would be in my locker and I have to go and

deposit it but after a while you got it direct deposited and you're getting paid

every two weeks and that goes all the way through until the season ends and

when the season's over that's it like you don't get paid anymore a lot of

people don't realize that and so you know most guys go and get jobs during

the offseason because they're not making any money anymore

so unless you're me if you're a major league I then yeah you're probably not

going and bussing tables and stuff like that but if you're a minor league player

you're probably going and getting some type of job I used to come and do I used

to do lessons and run clinics and camps and all that stuff but we know guys that

did all kinds of stuff over the offseason so that's how pay worked well

two things one I remember when I learned about the living off money

yeah and they would give you money in spring training if you didn't want to

stay at the hotel and you want to live somewhere else so they cut you a check

or give you cash I forget but it was like four in the minor leagues was like

800 or something to go live somewhere else so what we would do is we find

three or four guys and we'd go rent a house so now we got eight eight hundred

times four which is thirty two hundred good and so we could get a nice house

for us yeah Spring Training we're living in this nice house you know got some

food money now extra money so when I learned about that living off money I

definitely capitalized on that the second thing I wanted to ask you was so

what does that come out to so every two of the first and fifteenth

yeah at major league salary not the taxes and all that what is a paycheck I

can't remember my exact amount but I do remember before taxes I think it was

like sixty-five thousand for the month and so you break that down let's say

thirty something thousand every two weeks but then you take out taxes so I

don't I honestly don't remember the exact amount but it was obviously way

way more than we were again I think it was probably coming out to like twenty

thousand dollars every two weeks something like that and so you go from

the minor leagues getting paid some months you get a couple hundred bucks

you know like I remember getting checks in the minors my first year you get a

check and it was like for what two hundred bucks every two weeks maybe and

then you go you know fast-forward to get to the major leagues and I'm getting

league minimum the lowest player in the app in the league you know you getting

twenty thousand dollars every couple of weeks and so it's a little bit different

then you talk about the guys getting you know twenty thirty million dollars a

year and then it gets mind-boggling and they're getting money from sponsors and

yeah other deals whatever they got crazy now what about the food in the major

leagues how is that different from the minor league yeah so peanut butter and

jelly is typically as you know that's where you for when you first show up in

- yeah exactly a little different so you when you get

there it's peanut butter and jelly I remember when we were in Eugene Eugene

was my first stop it was that was it it was like peanut butter and jelly before

the game Peter and butter jelly after the game like that was it right and then

as Scotty yes exactly so as you move up you the food gets a

little bit better it does depend I think on the

organization and where you're playing at I think for the Padres for us like when

we got to double-a and San Antonio that's when the food started to get a

little bit better so you'd get food before the game and after the game like

they'd actually cook you some food after the game so you might get some steak or

some chicken you know some corn on the cob and stuff Triple A usually gets a

lot better usually you'll get you know they'll start actually going out to

restaurants and get them like I don't know maybe like a PF Changs night we've

get some rice and some chicken and stuff and so the food does get better there

and then when you get to the major leagues that's when it's the absolute

batch that's when you can literally you know I used to go to the game

walk in and I'm a really picky eater so I'd get to the game and I'd be like I'd

be burger I need the bread it's terrible die die you burger all the time so I'd

walk in and I'd go up to I'd go in the calf and I go up and go hey could I get

a burger with some fries you could do whatever you wanted thing they cook it

up for you give it to you boom you're good you can have that before games

after games and then you've got big leaguers like we have Brian Giles that

would have sushi nights so we'd had he'd bring in a sushi chef and there'd be

just sushi everywhere and so it really depends the older guys if you have a

team with veterans they usually really take care of guys and they'll have those

type of nights and stuff so foods a little bit better at the major league

level in the minor league level I remember to Lake Elsinore yeah Outback I

know he did once yeah yeah and he came for the whole week it was unbelievable I

remember he brought it out back one night and they had like the grills out

there and they're cooking us up like everything but that's what big leaguers

do that's the best part is when when they come down to the minor leagues to

rehab they almost always do something for the team whether they buy food or

bring in a cooker something so yeah I was really low for the peanut butter and

jelly and then when we moved up I think did it get up like $13 a day-trip lace

13 exactly big league was 50 a day I think it was 50 a day so yeah you get

more food but you got to pay more but when you get to the major leagues you

don't really care especially when you go on the road and they give you $100 a day

and you only have two you only get $50 you know exactly and you're making two

grand a day pretty much anyway on a shoot you guys have aspirations for for

a nice little job anyway thank you so much

he's got videos on all three of these subjects and a lot more he gives like

behind the scenes information of when he was playing in the major leagues some

really cool videos over there these three videos are on his channel

definitely got to go check it out he talks a little more in detail about them

gives gives you some secret behind-the-scenes

stuff of really cool stuff so I'll leave his link down below go subscribe to mr.

Antonelli thank you sir thank you I appreciate it we'll see you

guys next time

Frugal Christmas Tradition Ideas + How to Determine if You Can Afford to Stay Home With the Kids - Duration: 12:01.

Hi Kelli from FreebieFindingMom.com.

Thank you for joining me for another Friday session of money talk where we get together on Fridays around 1:30 p.m

Eastern Time and go over some of the more popular

Questions that you guys have had here on the freebie finding mom Facebook page. So today's question

the first question comes from Eva Eva's question is is my

Sister-in-law and I have decided not to exchange gifts between our families this year because money is tight

But we want to do something special for the kids

She has five kids and I have two so a gift exchange wouldn't be fair

I was thinking of getting together for dinner and a Christmas movie. But do you have any other fun and inexpensive ideas?

Thanks Eva for your question. And you guys by the way came up with the best ideas

I honestly can't wait to even try some of these myself

So Holly it said make cookies and let them decorate them before a Christmas movie marathon or a slumber party my son

I know would love that

Danielle said hides simple Christmas ideas. I love this idea

Danielle so Danielle says hide simple Christmas ideas

Like nativity or ornaments or pictures of Christmas around the house and do a scavenger hunt?

So what a fun idea that would be the kids. I'm sure would love that and then Danielle another good idea

Danielle had was go to the library and check out Christmas themed books one for each child

She said wrap them in Christmas wrapping paper then let them unwrap the book

Everyone gets to unwrapped a gift sort of and then the cost is basically free as long as you then return the books on time

and then she said have the kids make Christmas cards for

Grandparents and distant family and then keep the supplies simple and then another suggestion Danielle had us to make salto ornaments

Which is another good idea

Thank You Danielle, those are some really good ideas

Lisa said bingo game was small and inexpensive prizes another really good fun idea

Liz said, you can go bowling and have a burger and then I see I said Chris moot Christmas movie and lots of popcorn

That's a fun idea. And then Heather Heather. I love this idea too. Heather said in exchange family baskets

So make a family basket and give it to that family

Your cousins family and then let the other cousins give your family a basket

So I love that idea and then Susie said Bill

Gingerbread houses and kits are usually around $10 each another great idea. My son loves gingerbread houses

I think most kids do so another good idea there Susie and then Veronica

Said depending on the age of kids if they're under 10

They would love to go to a park or neighborhood with bright Christmas lights with their cousins and that could become a tradition

It doesn't have to be about the gifts

It's experiences with each other and lots of pictures for them to see in 10 years totally agree, Veronica

She said go ahead and Google in your area Christmas light displays take popcorn and chocolate milk in a thermal

disposable small cups and candy canes

It's fun free and memorable love that idea Veronica

And then lastly candy said the kids could do a white elephant type gift exchange

The gifts could be from the dollar store a thrift store like cheap books or even homemade as she said everyone brings one wrapped gift

And play a game that results in each kid receiving one wrapped gift

There's lots of game ideas on online good idea candy, I mean to your point candy

My son honestly loves going to the Dollar Tree stores and he saw our Dollar Stores. Oh, they're so fun for the kids

So let them go and have fun, you know pick something out for a dollar or two and give it to their cousins

I love that suggestion

And then the next question we have comes from Candice

Candice says my husband and I are trying to figure out if I can stay home

I want to be staying home by the end of January if we can make it without me working

Do you have any tips on how we can make ends meet?

So you guys by the way gave such good insights on this clearly you either have gone through this or maybe even going through this

now because very very helpful insights there for Candice so Candice, um,

The first bit of helpful information comes from Sarah. Sarah said this may sound harsh

But if you look at it as quote if I can afford to stay home almost everyone determines

No

It requires self-discipline that it does for sure

Saying no to most non essentials at least at first and then staying aware of where your money is at

totally agree Sarah and then Sarah goes on to say if you are both onboard it can be and

Lots of great advice you said here already?

But it does require a commitment to working together with your spouse and to make it work

And then also remember there are some savings to being at home, too

Like no work clothes cook at home and no childcare for your kids. That is very true. Sarah and then Sarah says good luck

Thanks, Sarah and then doll Sania Dulcinea. Thank you so much for your very thorough response doll

Sania had some really great tips as well

She said I made a Google document for our list of bills each month for the year

she said along with average amounts and

Another that had the list of pay days for the year and then went through and highlighted on the bill list

Which would come out of which pay?

For instance the house payment and the water bill were blue and on with the month and the date of the paycheck marked

So the internet electric etc were pink with their month and date of the paycheck marked

So basically she was distinguishing where the funds were going to come from for each bill

And then she said pay the ones coming out as soon as your paycheck hits the bank if you wait until the due date something

Else may come up and mess you up. That is very true

So basically, you know Dulcinea's advice here is just be diligent a bus

I have some level of some kind of this system whether it's you know

Handwriting it out or using an electronic system have some kind of a system of what your bills are each month

And what paycheck is going to be used to pay those bills?

and then be diligent obviously about paying them on time and then

Dolphino goes on to say also meals may need to be a lot simpler

We eat a lot of rice and once all our bags of frozen veggies along with just a little bit of meat

She said by the larger amounts when you can because they are cheaper in the long run. Very true

And then she said to find some cheap and even better free things to do in your area

My husband and I are gamers. So this is easy for us

She says fifteen bucks a month for each is unlimited game time together

If you aren't a gamer, there should be other things you can do

You could go to the park for walks or browse your library for instance

The most important thing is that it's something that you're interested in and can do together

She said if your husband isn't making enough to make ends meet Oh delta-t

This was really good, too

If you're not making up to make ends meet there are small-scale jobs that you can do from home if need be

Transcription work answering phone calls. I will also add in there like assistance

There's a lot of different types of virtual assistant jobs that you can get and then Dustin has said this Amazon

I forgot about those Telus India. Thank you for sharing

This Amazon has jobs that you can look over but they're nowhere near the only option doll

Cydia dropped the link to Amazon's workforce site. And so if you want to check out that link, it's m Turk

That's M T u RK comm and there are where like I say, they have different Amazon jobs that you can do

Basically 24/7 all the time

So check out those if you're looking for at home job

Opportunities is that thank you for dropping that link down there Dulcinea

And then she goes on to say the biggest thing is going to be cutting out the stuff

You don't need if you or your husband like to shop for fun that will have to stop or at least cut way back

Not many trips out to eat or to the movies or other entertainment that requires money

Snacks at the grocery store are a big one. That's true

Snacks can be so overpriced. They are cheap on their own but they add up fast. That's for sure

And then she says I'm sure other people have more ideas for you

But I hope this helps good luck getting everything worked out Thank You Johnny for that and then Danielle says we're going through the same

Thing so Danielle is actually going through this just like you Candace and she said at the end of May I'm going to stay home

And we have taken the last month figuring on a budget and we discovered in the past that the weeks

I haven't been at work. I cook more meals and we saved by not eating out

That's a good point, Danielle

And then she says good luck figuring it out

Figuring out our budget was the hardest but I really want to be around more for my kiddos and we found a way to do

It and I'm so excited. Thank you as awesome, Danielle. Congratulations

enjoy that time at your at home and

then Sharla said if you had kids taking in another one to babysit can often supplement your income quite a bit good points are like

Yes, so, you know Candice payment option is a V. Our friend has one or two kids that you could just you know

watch a few days a week that can also be another way to bring in some additional revenue and then Charlotte said do you have

A budget and can you meet all of your needs with your husband's salary?

I would try living on one salary before I quit my job or can figure out a way to make additional money while staying home

have you considered keeping a kid or to a friends to help another person that suggested that Thank You Charlotte and

Jessica said I use things like shopkick and ibotta and even great yet. Good idea

Jessica and even perk TV and vigil, which I have never heard of

I look into those perk TV and biggle to make some extra money while staying home. I will check those out Jessica

Thank you for those and then Cassy said I did mystery shopping as a stay-at-home. Mom it helped a lot

Also being diligent about meal planning. Yep, and using coupons with sales helped a lot too. Very true, Cassy

So thank you guys so much for sharing your insights on those questions. I will add to that

I'm basically Candice the key for you is going to be when determining you can stay home first and foremost

What are you spending your money on each month?

you're gonna have to sit down with your husband and

You don't either do it by pen and paper or electronically and figure out exactly how much you're spending every single month

You know what his income is so you'll be able to know right there if you can even cover it in addition to that look

For ways that you could save so just go ahead and take a look

is there anything you can either cut out or at least cut back on and

Then once you in addition to doing that you're going to want to incorporate

Like so many of you had said like Jessica said about using the apps as well. Somebody said about using coupons

You're gonna want to incorporate coupons as part of your regular shopping routine

Now if they weren't before so digital coupons and digital especially in paper coupons potentially as well

Also think about using those apps like Jessica had said especially ibotta as we've talked many times before

People have saved thousands of dollars using ibotta

so the keys really gonna be first and foremost Candace know where your how much you're spending every month where you're spending it and

Then that will help you gage

Like what your gap is basically what you need to cover then after you realize that

see for any ways that you can save any money or cut anything out or greatly reduce that expense and then

Your your thought process on

Shopping should really be you know, how can you maximize your savings?

you know using coupons shopping sales combining coupons and sales and then you know

Maybe when it comes to meal planning cutting back like Dulcinea's said on the amount of meat that you eat at least for right now

And then also meal planning is going to be key meal planning and consider doing some freezer cooking the best thing you could do

I feel like when it comes to saving money

especially on food is to really plan ahead and plan your meals out and to try to buy items that are in season and that

Are on sale and then lastly also, I would I would say

Make sure that you're looking for it when it comes to entertainment

you're not spending any excess money there look for things that are free or inexpensive and

If you still need to come up with a way to kind of bridge that gap on

Spending between what your husband what you guys spend what your husband brings in consider?

Maybe some part-time jobs like virtual assistant jobs or like a number of people have said about you know

Maybe watching a couple kids of your friends or something a few days a week to just kind of supplement some of that income

But if you want to make it work handed it can decide it is very doable

And I think that time spent at home is probably something you'll forever cherish. So a good luck with that

I hope that works out for you Candace. Thank you guys so much again as always for your questions

Corrie's Lewis Archer unexpectedly dies before shock revelation - Duration: 5:34.

Coronation Street viewers were in disbelief tonight after Lewis Archer was killed off

The former conman, who stole thousands from the Platt family, unexpectedly died on New Year's Day

In a devastating twist, Audrey Roberts headed to the bedroom and found his lifeless body on the bedroom floor

To make it even more tragic, poor Lewis was still holding an engagement ring in his hand

Gail was convinced he was trying to steal her mum's money, but Lewis had actually planned to propose to Audrey before heading to Barbados

EastEnders' Mel Owen 'returns from the dead' - but plan goes terribly wrong  Holding his body, Audrey said: "Oh my goodness Lewis

Come on love. Can you hear me?"  Tears streamed down her face as she found the box containing the engagement ring

Audrey revealed that Lewis had gone to the doctors that morning after complaining about pains in his shoulder and chest

She blamed Gail for making her think Lewis was lying

Audrey shouted: "He was going to ask me to marry him and I would have said yes

He was so fed up with you really

He was tired of being haunted. He'd had enough

And so have I."  Gail apologised, but Audrey told her daughter to leave as she cradled Lewis in her arms

Lewis' death has led some viewers to predict who the new supervillain will be

Corrie bosses have teased that one current character will turn evil and be responsible for a death when the factory roof collapses

One viewer predicted: "I was saying that Lewis' exit could be the reason why Nick is or is not the new villain

Judging Lewis' death, I think Nick could easily be the new villain"  Heartbroken Corrie viewers took to Twitter after watching the emotional scenes

One viewer said: "Cain nooooooo! My favourite bad boy!"  Another added: "I'm sorry but honestly? Seriously? Cain getting beaten to a pulp? I actually feel ill"  A third said: "Cain has definitely changed the Hardman has gone! Cheers Graham and Joe!! Cain would of knocked these guys out to six few months back
