Youtube daily report Jan 26 2019

Manchester City's Vincent Kompany appeared to have a message for Mohamed Salah at the Etihad Stadium on Thursday night

Kompany was booked for a heavy tackle on Salah in the middle of the pitch, a challenge which many viewers believed should have resulted in a sending off for the City captain

After the booking he seemed to mock Salah while he was on the floor.  The Belgian defender appeared to mutter something in Salah's direction and the eagle-eyed fans believe they know what the Belgian said

One Twitter post said: "Kompany definitely said 'get up you p***y' to Salah then

"  Another message read: "When Kompany went in, studs showing, on Salah, he clearly says 'get up you p***y'

Red card offence."

How to Do The Thing! A Pep Talk! ...no. SONG! - Duration: 4:29.

Hello Brains!

For this New Year I wrote a silly song for you

To encourage and annoy you into

Doing things you said you'd do

Brush your hair, make your bed Get a job that you don't hate

Practice cursive every day Don't forget to meditate

Actually get out of bed and be less self deprecating

Use a pomodoro timer Spend 5 hours animating

Say some mantras, do some pull-ups Exercise your chest and core

Be more honest 'bout your feelings Take yourself to movies more

Only eat out once a month Write 3 pages every day

Get to sleep before midnight Play piano on Tuesdays

Goals can be intimidating Falling short can be frustrating

But here's a simple Brain-proof method That I'll share with you

Do it badly Do it terribly

Write 3 pages that no one would read You have so many reasons to do these things

And none of you said you'd do them perfectlyyyyy

So --

Get a ukulele, play it, Use your planner every day

Dance like no one's watching you Do your laundry every Sunday

Pack your bag and pick out clothes The night before so you're not late

Exercise 3 days a week Sing cause it makes choir way…

Easier…

Practice oboe, do your push-ups Brush your teeth and wash your face

Ignore your phone until you're ready So you don't procrastinate

Drink some water, take a selfie And do not forget to eat

Wash the dishes every night Program at least twice a week

And Do it badly

Do it terribly Take a selfie that no one will see

You have so many reasons to do these things Way more important than doing them perfectlyyyyy

So

Stick to the routines you've built; Reach out to friends and family

Write a little every day So you'll finish that book, Leigh!

Work before your boyfriend gets home Take an hour just for you

Pray and read devotionals Walk 10 minutes, hula hoop

Do your homework after school and Get rid of toxicity.

Adventure every Thursday so you Don't resent all your routines

Take your meds, draw before bed Walk up 8 whole flights of stairs

Daily coding challenges and Be more present with your kids

And Do it badly Do it terribly

Code a solution that won't work gen'rally You've got so many reasons to do these things

And seriously, please don't do them perfectly

You'll make the rest of us look really bad and we don't like that —

I understand perfectionism I even made this video

But sometimes being perfect can mean Just doing it at all

So if you ever want to be good Don't let perfect get in your way

Make lots of pots Like Hank Green

And you know someday

It won't be badly Might not be perfectly,

But you'll write something that someone will read

You have so many reasons to do these things And next year you'll be proud of you, just

wait and see —

If you

Journal, tap dance, walk your dog More often, study Arabic

French or Japanese, Italian Write down your accomplishments

Put your phone down after work Go outside, eat a vegetable

Practice watercolor painting Don't end all your texts with "LOL"

Start projects when you get them Tweet and post on Instagram

Buy a wig and wear it daily Stick to your study plans

Find accountabili-buddies Be creative every day

Start your blog or YouTube channel And I'll be here to say…

Do it badly Do it terribly

Write a song for your viewers And mess it up entirely…

You've got so many reasons to do these things

And don't worry, cause there's no such thing as perfectly...

Just done!

Why Apple's AirPods Are So Popular - Duration: 10:17.

Hey guys it's Greg with Apple Explained, and today we're going to explore why Apple's

AirPods are so popular.

Now you may be thinking, well that isn't so hard to figure out, Apple made a quality

product so more customers are inclined to buy it.

And that is part of the reason, but there's actually more to the story.

And that's what we'll be exploring in this video.

Now this video topic was the first place winner of last weeks voting poll, and if you didn't

get to vote, make sure you're subscribed.

That way the polls will show up right in your mobile activity feed and you can let me know

which video you'd like to see next.

Now I want to start off by sharing the story that prompted me to explore this topic in

more detail.

And it all started when I visited the Apple Store during the holiday season to buy AirPods

as a gift, but when I asked an associate about them, she said they probably didn't have

any since the AirPods had been out of stock for weeks.

But she went ahead and checked the stockroom just in case.

Then, a woman walked into the store also asking to purchase AirPods, she was told they were

likely sold out, but pointed her in my direction anyway.

Now, I was curious why Apple was struggling to keep AirPods in stock, considering they'd

been on the market for about two years.

But I assumed it was because of the holiday demand, and didn't think much else about

it.

That was, until I began talking to the woman behind me.

I found out she was buying AirPods for her daughter, the thing was, her daughter hadn't

actually asked for them.

Her mom said, "I figured what kid today wouldn't want AirPods for Christmas."

And hearing her say this really caught me by surprise.

Because that meant not only does this middle-aged mother know what AirPods are, but she knew

they were a desirable product, especially by young people.

And considering Apple only ran one short ad campaign for AirPods at the beginning of 2017,

I was having trouble understanding why they suddenly appeared to be as popular as the

iPod nano in its prime.

So when I got home I did some research to try and figure this out.

And I discovered something pretty incredible.

Search interest in AirPods reached an all-time high in November and December 2018.

Generating more hype and excitement than when they were actually revealed in September 2016,

and gaining AirPods more attention than when Apple ran an ad campaign in January 2017.

So how in the world did this happen?

What caused so many people on the internet to become more interested in AirPods than

ever before?

Well, this is where the story gets good.

Because starting around November, AirPod memes began going viral.

And things only snowballed from there.

There were memes about AirPod users flexing on social media, memes about AirPods being

a status symbol, and memes about AirPods causing car accidents.

Now these viral memes about AirPods reached a fever pitch in December, which coincidentally

was just in time for the holidays.

So that's what triggered the unexpected demand for AirPods and caused a world-wide

shortage.

Making the product even harder to find than when they debuted in 2016.

But what makes this story even more fascinating is that the AirPods had been turned into a

meme before.

You see, when they were first introduced in September 2016, AirPods were the laughing

stock of the internet.

They were made fun of for their awkward design and high price and there was no shortage of

memes to express the internet's feelings toward the AirPods.

They were also criticized for being easy to lose and expensive to replace.

So judging by these criticisms, it appeared that the AirPods weren't going to be a popular

product for Apple.

But as with most Apple product announcements, the internet spoke too soon because the AirPods

wouldn't even be released until 3 months later, which gave people plenty of time to

judge the product without actually using it for themselves.

But I should mention that there were some level-headed responses to the AirPod's introduction

by people who were familiar with wireless earbud technology and were excited to finally

have a reliable, truly wireless, Apple earbud.

So let me explain in more detail how both sides felt about the AirPods.

Because people who thought the AirPods were a joke, actually made a few legitimate arguments.

First, they pointed out that for the AirPods $160 price, you could buy a pair of wired

headphones with much better sound quality, which was true.

They also pointed out that the AirPod's 5 hour battery life could prove inconvenient

especially compared to wired headphones which don't even need batteries.

It also meant that the AirPods would be just one more thing you would have to charge every

night.

So for those reasons, I could understand why the AirPods may not be appealing for all users.

On the other hand, it would be irresponsible to focus on a product's compromises without

considering its legitimate benefits.

Because for decades, people have dreamed of truly wireless earbuds that would free you

from all the headaches a wire causes.

And developing all the technologies necessary to make this a reality was a huge challenge

for Apple.

Battery technology had to be good enough to deliver sufficient battery life while being

so small that it could fit inside an earbud.

But Apple also needed an advanced, power efficient, wireless chip set to maintain a reliable wireless

connection between earbuds and to the device.

But what truly matters isn't all this technology but rather the experience the technology delivers.

And the AirPods, without a doubt, deliver the most seamless, reliable, and magical experience

in the entire wireless earbud market.

And it all starts with the charging case which pairs the AirPods to your iPhone with a single

tap.

No need to activate discoverable mode or fumble around in bluetooth settings to connect the

AirPods manually.

I should also mention the earbuds synchronize with each other automatically, a feature I

think Apple doesn't get enough credit for.

The charging case is also magnetized, so inserting the earbuds is effortless, and the lid closes

with a satisfying snap.

And when the earbuds are inside their case, they're also charging.

Giving you three hours of battery life with a 15 minute charge, something that was unheard

of before the AirPods.

But the most life changing feature, is the fact that they are truly wireless.

Now what do I mean by that.

Well, before the AirPods, there were wireless headphones, but they had a wired connection

between each ear piece, which meant they weren't "truly" wireless.

And the reason is because making two ear pieces that are wirelessly synchronized to each other

and wirelessly connected a device required very advanced technology and efficient power

management.

Because as you can imagine, there isn't much space for a big battery inside of an

earbud.

And although some tech companies tried releasing truly wireless earbuds, they were plagued

with reliability issues and poor battery life.

So when Apple released the AirPods, it finally gave users the listening experience they expected

with the benefit of not being tied down by a cable.

And that was not only extremely liberating, but also offered endless benefits.

Things like working out with your iPhone on the floor and no cord in your way, walking

away from your computer without having to remove your earbuds, and not having to untangle

your headphone cord every time you want to use them.

All of these conveniences created a new type of earbud experience that made it nearly impossible

to use wired headphones again.

So I think for many people, the compromises of owning wireless earbuds are well worth

the benefits they deliver.

That's probably why Apple had trouble keeping AirPods in stock when they were first released

in December 2016, and again at the end of 2018 when they went viral on the internet.

Because although the AirPods essentially received free advertising through popular memes, it

wouldn't have actually had a positive effect on sales if the AirPods were a bad product.

So I think that is the real reason why the AirPods are so popular.

They are considered by many to be the best product Apple has released since the original

iPhone, and like the iPhone, it's taking a while for competition to catch up.

Because it turns out, making true wireless earbuds is very challenging and very expensive.

That's why many of them are priced higher than the AirPods.

And just like the iPhone had its share of imitators back in 2008, many manufacturers

today are making knockoffs of the AirPods, trying to capitalize on their high demand

and Apple's recent inability to keep them in stock.

Now since the AirPods have been so successful, it appears Apple's interested in expanding

their presence in the audio market.

Because just six months after the AirPods were released, Apple introduced their smart

speaker called HomePod.

But it didn't experience the same level of success as the AirPods, and this has prompted

rumors that Apple may create a more affordable version of the HomePod to compete more directly

with the Amazon Echo and Google Home.

But I don't think the speaker market is where Apple will enjoy most of their audio

success.

Because the AirPods are where the magic is at, and it's worth mentioning that they're

a first-generation product.

Apple will likely be announcing an updated version in the near future, and rumors suggest

the new model will be equipped with features centered around health.

The earbuds could include biometric sensors to track fitness data, and they may even be

waterproof with noise-cancellation technology.

But what I'd really like to see are touch controls similar to the new Apple Pencil that

could track gestures and allows users to adjust the volume without using Siri.

Apple might even expand their headphone product line to include wireless in-ear headphones

and over-ear headphones.

That means we're only beginning to see what Apple is capable of in the wireless headphone

market and I'm excited to see what other products and technology they have in store.

WWE Power Rankings: Becky Lynch is 'The Man' - Duration: 9:59.

Nov 30, 2018ESPN.com staffFacebookTwitterFacebook MessengerPinterestEmailprint What a difference six weeks can make

The last time this panel convened, The Shield was riding high, Brock Lesnar was seemingly winding down this run with WWE and Becky Lynch was only scratching the surface of what she'd eventually become

Now, as the calendar turns over into December, it's a completely different world of WWE

Raw's been thrown into chaos, as Roman Reigns had to step away due to a leukemia diagnosis, the remnants of The Shield dissolved and Braun Strowman went down to injury

Brock's back on top, and the next couple of months of Monday Night Raw seem uncertain at best

Editor's PicksWWE is set up for undeniable women's WrestleMania main event A mix of undeniable crowd reactions, good luck in some regards and bad luck in others has WWE set up with an undeniable main event for WrestleMania 35: Ronda Rousey, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch

The complicated legacy of AJ Styles' WWE championship run AJ Styles held the WWE championship for 371 days, but despite the phenomenal work in the ring, there was much missing from his reign

1 Related SmackDown, on the other hand, has become must-watch TV on a weekly basis

Daniel Bryan is a freshly evil WWE champion, but he's playing second fiddle at the moment

Lynch's ascent to the top of the WWE (and these rankings, by no coincidence) took the unlikeliest of paths

After a tremendous match against Charlotte Flair that was undeniably one of the best of the year in WWE, Lynch and Ronda Rousey were lined up for a high-profile collision at Survivor Series

It was the lone cross-branded match with any buildup and culminated with an attack on Rousey and the whole Raw women's division just days before Survivor Series -- only the match never happened, as Lynch took a stray punch to the face during the melee

The result was one of the most iconic scenes in recent memory on WWE, as a bloody Lynch still laid waste to Rousey and stood defiantly, staring down her opponent-to-be

Only it wasn't to be, as Lynch's injuries kept her from that match; the residual excitement was so much, however, that Flair stepped into Lynch's place and got a defining moment for herself with a late-match attack on Rousey using a kendo stick

Now that Lynch has been cleared ahead of TLC, SmackDown is striking while the iron is hot, as Lynch will put her SmackDown women's championship on the line in a TLC triple-threat match against Flair and Asuka

It's immediately the most important match on the final pay-per-view event of 2018, and with eyes toward a possible Rousey match in 2019 and the means to do it with the upcoming Royal Rumble in January, almost any outcome is possible in this match

It's been fascinating to watch the unflinching and ever-growing support that Lynch gets every time she opens her mouth, steps into the ring or even lashes out on Twitter

There's a lot of talk about women main-eventing WrestleMania 35, and Lynch seems to hold the key at this moment

We've seen how much can change over the course of a couple of months, but as Lynch continues to reach more and more dizzying heights, it's only fair to recognize how far she has come in just over two months

Lynch is the first woman ever to top the ESPN WWE Power Rankings, and she nearly swept the first-place votes

At this moment in time, Becky Lynch is undeniably "The Man". -- Tim Fiorvanti Rankings are based upon the perceived value of a superstar to the on-screen product of WWE, which is determined by the voting of a panel of WWE on ESPN contributors

Number in parentheses indicates first-place votes.1Becky Lynch (6)+3 When you step back and think of Becky's ascent, it's astonishing

We all assumed Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey would take the women's evolution to the next level, but it's the SmackDown champ who has the most ardent and passion fan base in the WWE today, and that includes the men

Her beeline to the top of the summit is one of the best wrestling stories of 2018

-- Matt Wilansky2Seth RollinsNR At a moment when Monday Night Raw is in desperate need of stars, Rollins is the one constant upon which the show can rely on week after week

Yes, his feud with Dean Ambrose has had its ups and downs, and yes, 132 matches against Dolph Ziggler might be excessive, but every time Rollins is out there, you're always going to like what you see

-- Andrew Feldman3Daniel Bryan+4 The "New" Daniel Bryan came out of nowhere, but it's exactly what Bryan and SmackDown Live need right now

Bryan winning the WWE title from AJ Styles on the SmackDown before Survivor Series felt like the WWE angling to avoid another Styles-Brock Lesnar matchup, but the attack after the match showed it was much more than that

Bryan as part of the "YES" movement was as popular as any WWE superstar, but something about his run since his return felt off

Bryan was given a second life as a WWE superstar, something no one but Bryan expected to happen

With that second life, it was time for Bryan to do something new, something he hadn't already accomplished before he had to deal with a rash of serious injuries

This is a version of Daniel Bryan we haven't seen in WWE. You'd have to go back to his days as the maroon-trunks-wearing Bryan Danielson in Ring of Honor to find the closest version of the Daniel Bryan we're seeing now

He has an attitude. There's a new aggressiveness to the way he works in the ring

He's completely a different performer. That's the Daniel Bryan fans want to see face AJ Styles at TLC

-- Michael Wonsover4Drew McIntyre-1 With apologies to Dolph Ziggler, Braun Strowman, Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley, Lio Rush and whichever random heel WWE pairs him up with next, Drew McIntyre has become a standout performer on a weekly basis -- and he's clearly on the path to gold

-- Feldman5Ronda Rousey- It's not surprising that Rousey ended up as a champion this early into her WWE run, but it's a very pleasant surprise that she already has become so comfortable in the ring

She's continued to combine her judo skills with professional wrestling, and you can see her skill set evolve with every match

Also, much respect for the absolute beating she took with a kendo stick and a chair at Survivor Series

That's not something they teach you (or allow) in UFC or the Olympics. -- Matt Willis6Charlotte FlairNR That Flair may not rank among the top two female wrestlers in the WWE might seem like a knock on her, but it isn't

The reality is that Flair's in-ring storytelling has progressed to the point where she helped catapult Rousey to new heights with one memorable match

That skill is a major factor in the women's division taking charge in today's WWE, and will keep Flair in main event contention for years to come

-- KC Joyner7AJ Styles-5 Styles lost the WWE championship a couple of weeks ago after an impressive 371-day title reign

Title or no title, Styles is among the best in-ring performers in the world. As long as he's active, he belongs in the upper half of this list, regardless of where he's ended up this time around

-- Sean Coyle8Dean AmbroseNR We've gotten only occasional flashes of it during his six years in the WWE, but when Dean Ambrose has a microphone in his hand and free reign to go where he wants, he's among the best promos in the company

The burning of his Shield vest and the doctor's office visit both seemed a bit contrived on the surface, but if you listen to what Ambrose is saying in those promos, it's clear that his potential will be best realized as the villainous foil to Seth Rollins and whomever is next in line

Opportunities abound on Raw, and Ambrose is in a spot where he can take full advantage

-- Fiorvanti9Randy OrtonNR Orton is at his best when he's allowed to push the limits of human decency

In the current family-friendly WWE, that can be difficult to do and keep being invited back the next week, but Orton is doing an admirable job of pushing the limits, being vicious and brutal and leaving us wondering what he's going to do next to his handpicked victims

-- Willis10Brock LesnarNR It speaks volumes for the state of the WWE today that Lesnar may be the only male wrestler who appears to be properly lined up for a shot at the main event of WrestleMania 35

If only we could find a way to book a Fatal 4-way with Lesnar, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey -- it could be the most memorable main in event in WrestleMania history

-- Joyner Dropped from rankings: The Shield, Braun Strowman, The Miz, Triple H, R-Truth Others receiving votes: Strowman, The New Day, Baron Corbin, The Miz, Tommaso Ciampa, Buddy Murphy, Bobby Lashley, Rey Mysterio, Velveteen Dream
