Out of the Body (1989) - Movie Review - Duration: 4:31.

I am Torstein from Cinema Terror and today I have a forgotten ozploitation film to discuss
from none other than director Brian Trenchard-Smith, known for his work on stuff like The Man from
Hong Kong, Turkey Shoot and Dead End Drive-In to name a few.
This one is not even out on DVD or BluRay anywhere from what I can see, so let's figure
out if Out of the Body from 1989 is worth hunting down.
The story takes place in Sydney, Australia where a group of brutal murders of women have
started to occur, leaving the local police without any hints or clues.
At the same time, a young musician named David is having strange dreams where he sees the
point of view of this serial killer while the murders are happening.
Of course the police only start to suspect David and not take him seriously when he goes
to them and even the women that he sees are next on this killers hitlist brush him off
as a creep.
His friend slash love interest tells him that he might be experiencing astral traveling
and perhaps he can use this power to get to the killer before he gets to his next victim...
Now that doesn't sound all that bad and there is plenty of cool stuff that can be done with
astral projection and a supernatural invisible serial killer, but Out of the Body fails to
do much with any of that.
I know it's a big no-no for film critics to reduce their opinion on films by simply calling
them "boring", but there is no way around it, Out of the Body is a grueling experience,
the movie is simply boring from start to finish.
The story, although it has some potential, is executed poorly, making it feel messy and
incoherent.
It's hard at times to understand what is happening and there isn't much explanation given by
the time it is all over.
While it starts with an invisible serial killer it ends up being a laughable possession film
after a while, delivering scenes like this that are supposed to scare you I guess.
I am not sure what Trenchard-Smith was going for here and I expected way more of him than
this.
It feels like he just did it for the work and couldn't care less about giving the movie
any type of flair or energy.
Most of the camera work are awful and several scenes are shot the same way in some of the
locations, giving the film a very repetitive feel.
The film is also surprisingly lackluster when it comes to exploitation traits such as violence
and nudity.
It feels too safe, almost like it was made for TV or something like that.
The acting is also pretty bad, although I would say that some of them do try to give
something of a performance.
Mark Hembrow as David has to have a lot of intensity to him for most of the film and
it was probably not an easy job to do, so it's too bad that it didn't take place in
a better film.
Here it comes off as he basically runs around and screams for the entire running time, having
his effort be reduced due to poor dialogue and filmmaking.
I
can't see anyone that I could recommend Out of the Body for.
There are plenty of other greater films than this that deal with some of the same topics
in a better way.
Go see The Boogeyman or Patrick instead.
Or one of Trenchard-Smith's other films, even BMX Bandits are better than this.
Out of the Body only gets a disappointing 1 out of 5.
That's all I had to say about Out of the Body.

hey everyone J Three B here and I'm gonna show you a different shelter you can
make this type of shelter is called a lean-to this isn't so much for survival
as in your shelter to survive at night this is for during the day when you just
want to sit out get your food get your fire going have somewhere you can sit
and still be out of the elements let's take a look this is called an a-frame
this is a different type of shelter you can see we have our sticks with a V on
the end angled in on both sides the branch sticks past the tree so it's not
going to slide down and then this one in the middle that's gonna give us support
and we're only putting sticks on the back side just something this isn't a
shelter sleeping this is just when you're not in here sleeping you can be
out here and join the fire so Chris is on the hunt for sticks over there as you
can see so it's gonna go pretty good

on the new Hourglass Seamless Finish Liquid Foundation.

I'll be giving you my opinion on this product as well as
giving a demo on applying this product onto my face.

So this is the packaging for The Hourglass
vanish seamless finish liquid foundation,
and I have actually tried out the stick Foundation,
which I actually really did enjoy so I'm very excited.
About trying out the liquid foundation
because I mean come on
if you found at the stick Foundation was good.
We already know
that hopefully the liquid foundation is going to be just
as good as the stick foundation.
So I'm going to go ahead and take this out.
So you guys can see it
and give you some information on the product.
So this was The Hourglass Foundation.
I've got this in the shade warm almond
and it retails for $56.
Okay.
So I did say the foundation was $56 and Honey
about had a heart attack
or during his foundation of our last comment.
I seen that $56
because that is a lot of money to be spending on a foundation,
especially when you have to keep purchasing it
if you like it,
but you know what I wanted to get up this review
for you guys to test it out and see
if it is this really 56 dollars worth
of foundation right here in this bottle.
Is he going to give us a full coverage?
Is it going to make us look flawless?
We are definitely going to put that to the test and hope
that it works out beautifully.
So I'm going to read you the information
about the product on The Hourglass site.
So you guys can know what this products benefits
and features are so here we go.
This Foundation is a highly concentrated liquid foundation

with just a half a pump.

and the shade I picked up was warm almond

We're definitely going to see
if this product holds up to his claims
and benefits and hope that this Foundation works out.
Okay.

This is definitely up there with the higher end.

So let's go ahead and get right into the demo
for The Hourglass vanish seamless finish Foundation.
Okay, so they claimed
that the foundation can give you full coverage
with a half a pump.
I don't really know about that hourglass,
but we know what we're going to give it a try we're going to do
that one side of my face see how that works out.
If it doesn't give me full coverage.
I'm obviously going to blend it up and let's see what it's
if it's full coverage
if it wears on the skin
if you were wondering I do have dry skin.
So hopefully this will cater to my dry skin.
It does say caters to all skin types.
And yeah, we're going to go ahead and get right into Okay,
that was a half a pump
and we're going to apply this to my face.
Let's hope the color works out.
Here we go.
So this is a half a pump.
We're going to apply this on this side of my face.
No primer.
Okay.
I actually think the color is actually
really good did a good job for ordering online?
Okay, and that's just a half a pump
of the product on my face.
I mean that does everything off my hand.
That's just one pump
on my cheese right here a half a pump.
And actually I think is really giving good cut
for I have a pump.
I really think it looks
really really good think the coverage is amazing.
Um What I say is full coverage.
I don't know.
I think that's reaching a little bit but I'm
not gonna knock it too much
because it is giving really good coverage for the half a pump.
I did put on my hand.
So this is what this looks like,
but of course I'm going to add more
because that's what I prefer.
I'm going to build it up.
So on this side,
I'm going to do more than one pump.
I'm going to do a pump and a half.
Okay, so that's a pump and a half right here.
And we're just going to apply
that all over the rest of my face.
So yeah.
It has a very mild sent to the foundation.
I can't think it smells
like I don't know like cocoa butter or something.
Just so slight hint of cocoa butter.
I don't know if I'm crazy,
but that's what I smell.
I am mad at it.
Okay.
So the foundation is fully blend out.
I definitely think
the foundation looks really really good.
I think as you can see it kind of has
like a satin finish it's not matte.
It's not really
hydrating is definitely in between of the boat,
which I think is wonderful.
I think that's works out perfectly
for anybody has combo skin.
Oily dry normal.
It's a perfect in
between finish definitely think it has really good coverage.
I like how it's sitting on my skin.
It doesn't look cakey or anything.
It's definitely covering up the imperfections
of my skin underneath.
So I really enjoy
that I think it doesn't feel heavy
or anything definitely feels lightweight on the face.
I don't feel like is weighing down my face with product.
So that's also a plus
and yeah, I'm really enjoying this Foundation.
I definitely think this is a product
that is definitely worth.
Trying and if you
don't want to spend the $56 on the foundation definitely get
you a sample at Sephora and try it out and see
how you like it
because I definitely think it's something
that's worth the Splurge.
I'm going to see how the rest of the products on my face,
you know makes with the foundation.
Hopefully everything Blends out wonderfully
and the products look good together.
But other than that,
I think right now I really like the foundation.
I like the coverage I like everything about it.
So we're going to go ahead and get right
into putting the rest of the products on my face
and I'll be right back.
Okay, so I'm back and I think
everything Blended out perfectly on top of the foundation
and then the foundation still looks amazing.
It looks full coverage is definitely a foundation
that I think I'm going to enjoy
and I'm just very impressed with it.
I actually like I think the color match was very good
and I'm loving it

all I'm not even gonna lie.
I'm absolutely loving
this product definitely check the description box.
I will try to have an update on the foundation
how it wears everything throughout the day.
But as of right now, I think everything looks amazing.
I think the biggest question I'm going to get from this video is
what I recommend this product.
And as of right now, I'm really enjoying the product.
I think it looks wonderful.
I know the price point is
a little bit high this Foundation is $56
which is you know on the upper end
of the spectrum of Foundations,
but you always have the alternative
where you can go try out the foundation has
to for so you don't have to buy it first to try it out.
You can get a sample from Sephora and see
how you like it.
If it's something
that you would like to splurge on then I think
that's your decision to make but for me,
I think that this is definitely Foundation
that I will keep using and I think
that it looks beautiful on the skin and I'm
very impressed with it.
