South Korea and the United States will hold a joint Air Force drill next week involving

almost 230 aircraft.

The regular exercise is called Vigilant Ace, and it was planned before the North's latest

missile launch.

But coming so soon after, it'll likely involve a bigger show of force than ever before.

Oh Jung-hee reports.

U.S. strategic assets are arriving in South Korea for an annual joint air force drill

called Vigilant Ace next week.

The airborne exercise is set to mobilize 12-thousand U.S. personnel and almost 230 aircraft.

Six F-22 Raptor stealth fighter jets are to be deployed starting Saturday,... and all

six jets will fly over South Korea simultaneously for the first time in the history of the joint

drill.

F-22 jets are equipped with full stealth capabilities,... meaning that they can infiltrate North Korean

airspace undetected and destroy key nuclear and missile facilities.

Twelve F-35B jets will also be deployed.

The presence of the F-22 Raptor and the F-35B fighters is expected to put maximum pressure

on North Korea... as both aircraft can reach Pyongyang in only ten minutes if they depart

from Osan Air Base, located 64 km south of Seoul,... and in 20 minutes from Gunsan Air

Base in Jeollabuk-do Province.

In addition to these two, six F-35A stealth fighter jets also arrived in South Korea last

week... and B-1B bombers are expected to take part in the drill as well.

South Korea's defense ministry says... the joint exercise will focus on striking facilities

and moving targets in North Korea... as well as countering possible North Korean invasions

by sea and air.

This year's Vigilant Ace comes in less than a week after Pyongyang launched an ICBM,...

so it's expected to be carried out amid high tensions on the peninsula.

Seoul also plans to coordinate with Washington to have U.S. strategic assets deployed on

a rotational basis... until the end of the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics.

With that, let's take a look at the international weather for viewers around the world.

While colder air has gripped much of the nation mostly under sunny skies, North Korea will

have colder temperatures under brighter skies.

As for major cities in Asia,..Seoul seems to be the coldest city on Friday, Beijing

will have a repeat of yesterday's weather conditions.

Meanwhile, the heat has eased in Melbourne,... but a dangerous storm will batter the state,

it could possibly dump three months' worth of rain in three days.

Heading to North America, Vancouver hit a weather record in November with only three

dry days.

According to Environment Canada, it rained 27 out of 30 days in November and it's a rainy

start to December as well.

As for South America, major cities will have highs in the twenties but it could be rainy

or sunny depending on the region.

Taking you to Europe,... other than Rome, most cities will have single digit highs.

Lastly to Africa, Algiers will have a rainy Friday.

Being someone with an ambiguous ethnicity has been...

An experience.

I'm an American born citizen, my parents are immigrants from South America, my mom is

from Peru and my dad was from Ecuador.

Ever since I was younger, I think I started to really notice how often I would be asked,

"Where are you from?" and I'd say, "Oh, here, Miami."

and then they'd say, "No, I mean where are you REALLY from?" and I'd respond,

"Well, um, my parents are South American?" and then they'd respond,

"No, that's not it.

There has to be something else.

Where are your really, REALLY from?

Like what's your background."

and typically I would just shrug, um, a little befuddled as to why my answer wasn't satisfactory.

That interaction was incredibly confusing to younger me, uh, because for one thing,

they weren't saying what they meant the first time.

When they said, "Where are you from?"

my answer being Miami, was the correct answer to what they asked.

In a typical scenario, that's the actual question being asked.

What they were really asking me for was my background and they wanted this information because to

them I looked different, um, and this line of questioning from strangers began to become

predictable, uh, and really began to make me doubt myself and to FEEL different,

it really played into my anxieties about what I looked like.

This is not something that happens to everyone, this is something that happens pretty specifically

to people of color and people who are kind of ambiguous looking, um...

And it felt like these lengthy interrogations from strangers were this...

Unintentional, parenthesis, othering of me.

Though it's pretty unintentional; no one is interrogating me with the sole purpose of

making me feel... bad.

It doesn't decrease how it impacted me growing up, uh, particularly with some of the racist bullying

that I was experiencing at the time, uh, as well, which... [laughs] I won't go into detail

because some of the stuff that was REALLY vile.

I have asked my mom about my background, she said that there may be people from Spain and Italy

in my background.

My last name Segarra which is a Spaniard last name according to Google.

She said my dad likely had some people from India and Africa in his background, but there

aren't really any records to say any of that for a fact, um, so the frequency at which

people were asking me about my background became all the more touchy and confusing.

Um, it became a sensitive topic to feel like my background was so mysterious in the first

place, that there was a disconnect, um, and that I was basically ill-equipped to answer

questions about myself and my background and that these questions were asked so often!

And it also sucked that it felt like people also felt so entitled to that information so quickly.

Why did it matter so much to these strangers what my background was?

I was going through my life with it a complete mystery and doing just fine.

All that being said, today I have my 23andMe results so I finally have some answers to

that question when inquiring minds are so determined to know.

I am 100%...

Uh, then we got 45.6% East Easian & Native American.

Cool!

Okay.

And under that umbrella of East Asian/Native American we got Native American, meaning native

of the Americas, more than likely South America, I wish we had more specifics on that.

So.. that's-that's cool.

A whole 11.7% -- that's actually a big amount - is unassigned, so they are not sure.

I want to know what that 12% is!

So it looks like I'm a big mix of everywhere except for like a few places.

Um... which is actually how I would usually describe it.

Because it was so mysterious to me, um, I would often just answer comedically, like,

um, "I'm..." what was it?

"Godmother of the earth"? or whatever...

Or.. ooh!

I would say, "I'm just a child of the earth."

um, because from what I could gather, I did have a little bit from everywhere and verified!

I got a little bit from like everywhere so that's really interesting, yay!

South Korea is considering ways to strengthen international pressure on North Korea following

its latest provocation.

And the United States, meanwhile, wants more sanctions -- specifically,... saying that

China should cut off the regime's oil supplies.

Ji Myung-kil has more.

South Korea's foreign ministry said Thursday that the government will continue to pressure

North Korea through tough sanctions in order to thwart Pyongyang's nuclear and missile

ambitions.

The ministry said it will use all diplomatic means to resolve the crisis in a peaceful

manner.

(Korean) "The government is closely negotiating with

the U.S. and other permanent Security Council members to devise countermeasures.

At this stage, we are closely monitoring the UN Security Council."

South Korea's foreign ministry spokesperson also said the government was keeping a close

eye on Washington's possible moves to place further unilateral sanctions on North Korea,

even if there is no new UN resolution.

U.S. ambassador Nikki Haley called for all nations to fully implement UN sanctions on

North Korea and cut off all diplomatic ties.

She also suggested additional moves, such as taking away the regime's voting rights

at the UN... and cutting off oil.

(Reuters No. 3234) "China can do this on its own, or we can take

the oil situation into our own hands."

Haley pointed out that China was North Korea's biggest supplier of oil, and said that President

Trump had asked China's President Xi to turn off the taps to the regime.

China's ambassador meanwhile urged North Korea to comply with UN resolutions, and advocated

dialogue between all relevant parties.

Russia placed some responsibility on South Korea and the U.S, calling on the two nations

to refrain from carrying out any more joint military drills for the rest of the year,

saying it could "inflame an already explosive situation."

Whether the UN Security Council will pass a new resolution to implement further sanctions

remains unclear.

S. Korea's intel agency says North's latest missile most advanced ICBM tested - Duration: 1:47.

South Korea's intelligence agency briefed the National Assembly on the missile launch

earlier on Wednesday, explaining that the rocket appears to be an ungraded version of

the Hwasong-14.

And it added that there could be more provocations to come.

Kim Min-ji reports.

South Korea's intelligence agency says North Korea's latest missile is the most advanced

ICBM that it has tested so far.

At a parliamentary briefing on Wednesday,... the National Intelligence Service was quoted

as saying that it was an upgrade from the ICBMs the North has launched previously -- flying

higher and faster.

"The NIS said the distance flown was about 960 kilometers with an apogee of around 4,500

kilometers.

Given the high altitude and speed,... it appears to be an improvement on the Hwasong-14."

The spy agency's analysis is in line with Pyongyang's own statement which it made hours

after the test,... claiming a successful launch of the Hwasong-15.

The NIS said there were several likely reasons for the latest provocation -- to show that

the North can hit the U.S.,... to protest the sanctions against it,... and to solidify

internal unity.

It also said the test was foreseen given that Pyongyang was recently relisted by the U.S.

as a state sponsor of terrorism,... and that the regime has historically launched a provocation...

70 percent of the time when it has warned of a response.

(Stup) The spy agency added it cannot rule out the

possibility of another nuclear test either -- noting that North Korea's nuclear and missile

capabilities are progressing.

It said tensions could get higher,... should Pyongyang's provocations continue amid stronger

pressure from the international community.

N. Korean defector making swift recovery, but long-term health effects likely - Duration: 1:48.

It's been more than ten days since a North Korean soldier made a desperate dash across

the Joint Security Area in the Demilitarized Zone to escape the repressive regime.

After being shot multiple times by his former comrades, the defector is recovering well,...

but doctors have expressed concerns about the long-term health effects of his injuries.

Lee Unshin starts us off.

After two major surgeries and days in intensive care,... the North Korean soldier who risked

his life fleeing to the South is making a swift recovery at Ajou University Hospital

in Suwon, south of Seoul.

The 24-year-old soldier, identified only by his family name Oh, was shot five times by

his former comrades when he sprinted across the Military Demarcation Line on November

13th.

However, Doctor Lee Cook-jong, who led the surgery on the soldier, says he could suffer

long-term health problems, such as blockage of the intestines, known as Intestinal Obstruction,

due to a number of his organs being penetrated by bullets.

Considering his condition, the doctor has suggested the defector shouldn't go through

official questioning for at least another month.

For now, the defector is said to be resting, enjoying TV shows, like the American crime

investigation series CSI and Hollywood movies, and listening to some of his favorite K-pop

singers - on repeat.

With hospital staff, the former soldier also shared his experience of having driven Hyundai

vehicles back in the North.

Meanwhile, following the defection, North Korea appears to be tightening its border

security.

S. Korea offers special visa waiver for Chinese around PyeongChang Olympics - Duration: 1:54.

More signs now that South Korea and China are patching things up after a months-long

row over THAAD.

South Korea's justice ministry announced today that some Chinese citizens will be able to

visit the country visa-free... to encourage more people to come to next year's Winter

Olympic Games in Pyeongchang.

Our Lee Jeong-yeon has more.

South Korea and China were deadlocked for the better part of a year,... with Beijing

imposing sanctions on Seoul in retaliation for the deployment of the U.S. THAAD missile

defense system.

But an improvement in ties became more evident Thursday with the announcement by the South

Korean Ministry of Justice.

Starting December 1st, through the end of next March, Chinese citizens meeting certain

requirements will be able to visit the country visa-free for 15 days.

This is to accommodate those coming around the time of next year's PyeongChang Winter

Olympic Games.

Some of these requirements... are that applicant must be a Chinese citizen who's had a Korean

visa issued in the last five years, with a record of traveling in and out of the country.

He or she must also have a ticket for the Olympic Games... purchased through a designated

Chinese travel agency, and be a holder of a regular government-issued Chinese passport.

However, if the applicant has been convicted of a crime in Korea, extradited or stayed

in the country illegally, their application will be turned down.

Those who are approved and then come into and out of the country in accordance with

the law... will be granted 5-year multiple-entry visas.

The move is unprecedented for South Korea.

Visa-free entry was never permitted for previous international events such as the World Cup

in 2012 or the Seoul Olympics in 1988.

Pundits say that temporary as the measure may be, it will have a significant impact

on the economy by bringing back masses of Chinese tourists.

How to STOP Attracting Negative Synchronocity with the Law of Attraction - Duration: 7:53.

This video will show you EXACTLY how to stop attracting negative synchronicity.

I'm going to share with you ways that I've applied in my own life so that good things

happen and I'm able to distance myself from that negativity.

Welcome back to another video.

My name is Aaron and I help people expand their consciousness.

Now in this video I'm going to be sharing with you ways that you can bypass negativity

and really knowing how to transform negative synchronicity into something that is positive.

Now let's First off understand that when it comes to the Law of Attraction like attracts

like.

But also in the sense to where our beliefs are being reflected back to us as well.

So the idea is even though like attracts like if we believe that negative things happen

or we believe that we're not worthy or we believe in certain things happening and even

if those are subconscious or conscious The idea is we always get a reflection of whatever

that is.

Now the question to ask when negative synchronicity happens is first off.

Ask the question of what would I believe to be true to be having this kind of experience.

Now the other side of this coin is understanding that many times negative synchronicity can

be a sign to us to maybe look at something we believe to be true or maybe to look at

certain patterns in our life.

We can think about this in the form of what we call our higher self or our higher level

of awareness or consciousness and our ego self.

Now sometimes negative synchronicity will happen to us and our ego will become identified

with it will think that we're in a way a victim.

And the key to this is knowing that many times synchronicity and native synchronicity could

simply be an opportunity for us to become aware of what our definitions are to become

aware of what we're bought into to become aware of certain patterns that are happening.

And if we really want to let them go.

So the first step to this process is to find any negative synchronicity as something positive

because at least it's making you aware of something that was priorly unconscious.

So it's something that's good because now we're able to get to the root of whatever

this belief is to the root of whatever this pattern is to simply decide to let it go and

we cannot change what we do not own.

So if negative patterns are happening in our life if negative synchronicities are happening

our life and we're not aware of it they'll just continue to happen.

So the key to this is first off being grateful that you are aware that there's patterns happening

that you don't prefer being aware that there's a belief that's maybe out of alignment with

who you are and the next step is to simply ask the question What would I have to believe

is true to be having this experience many times that belief will be rooted in the definition.

So if negative things happen in my life for example I'll ask myself the question What

would I have to believe is true to be having this quote unquote make it of experience.

And I would first off realize that a lot of times it comes from being attached to thinking

that this is the way things are.

This is how things will always be and sometimes I'll be aware of oh hey I have a belief that

says I'm unworthy that I can't you know have this happen so therefore I have to remain

attached to the outcome.

So the key is always asking myself that question what would I have to believe is true to be

having this kind of experience.

And what could this be telling me.

Now I know many times in my life there are times when I'm thinking about certain things

and when I'm thinking about things that are out of alignment with my baby I guess you

could say true nature out of alignment with what's really best for me.

A lot of times I'll get like something happened that I'm kind of smacked my thoughts back

in a place like the other day I was at the gym and I was doing box jumps which is like

this.

You know I'd jump on this box and it's like something I do in between workouts It's like

a good you know small thing to do when you work out.

And I do that in between.

And I was doing it and I found myself thinking about things like maybe I should have been

thinking about.

I was kind of going off and search scenarios in my head that were in alignment with you

know how I really prefer to be.

And halfway through I went to jump up and my leg like skipped and I'm like busted my

shin and it hurt.

You know I was bleeding a little bit wasn't that big of a deal.

But it made me aware.

Anytime something like that happens if I hit my head sometimes I was my closet the other

day and I got up and I hit my head against the TV that's saying it's always when I'm

thinking of things that aren't in alignment.

It's almost like a smack in the head it says hey refocus your thoughts.

Now I know we don't have to derive meaning from every little thing but the idea is that

many times when negative synchronicity happens.

Be aware of what you're thinking of.

You'll find that a lot of times it comes from mis alignment of thought.

So what you can begin to do is to respond to your focus in the direction of where you

want to be or the direction of what's just simply good for you.

Put your thoughts where it actually pays off or where it's actually something that beneficial.

So what I encourage you to do is to first be aware of what you are thinking of from

that point on.

Choose to ask yourself the question What would I have to believe is true for this to be happening.

Where are my thoughts currently focused.

And then what you do is you can refocus it in the direction that you want you can to

refocus the kind of belief that you prefer to have.

And you can let go of any definition that doesn't serve you any label many times just

labels when it comes to these definitions.

And as you do that you will start to get positive benefit.

Now

the other side of this is knowing that negative can be something that we learn from and that

we can reframe any negative situation into a positive by knowing that this is the most

important thing the most important thing is not the situations that happen in our life.

It is the way that we respond to the situations in our life.

It is our own state of being that is the most important.

And if you choose to remain in a positive state of being despite the negative circumstances

because we don't have to base our state of being on what is happening on the outside

we find that things happen in a much better way and that things start to actually happen

for us rather than to us.

So that's where this power is understanding that at the same time we can get a lesson

out of everything that happens even if something negative happens.

Intend to learn a lesson from it because as you learn the lesson you will stop the pattern

from happening.

Everything our life is a pattern and patterns will always come back to us until we learn

the lesson.

So if you are able to ask yourself the question What would I have to believe is true were

my thoughts currently focused and what can I learn from this.

You'll then deal through it right now you'll work through it right now so that you're actually

able to let it go.

And we don't keep these patterns happening over and over again.

So that's it.

Understand that that's the power you have to really redefine the negative things in

your life to know that you can attract positive things by reset your focus by being aware

of the Higher Self perspective and maybe not just the ego realizing when we observe we

get to that higher perspective when we allow ourselves to ask ourselves that question what

would I have to believe is true.

We take yourself out of the reactive mind.

We're able to more powerfully see it from that point of view and then we're able to

choose how we prefer to be.
