Thomas Ravenel & Ashley Jacobs Split News: They're Still Together | Heavy.com

Thomas Ravenel and his girlfriend Ashley Jacobs have been the center of controversy and drama on this season of Southern Charm.

The couple has made some enemies of some of their friends and have caused a firestorm with fans on social media.

Several times on the show, the couple has voiced that they may be headed for a break up, but it looks like they are still together.

Fellow cast members have accused Jacobs of being a liar and a gold-digger on the show, but Ravenel has chosen to stick with the relationship.

Recently, a source told Celebrity Insider that Jacobs' mother and sister allegedly have called her a manipulative liar and want nothing to do with her.

The source also said that Ravenel has been scared to "put his foot down" with Jacobs, for fear that she may spread lies about him as well.

With all the rumors and negativity, maybe a break up is looming.

But, even if Ravenel and Jacobs do break up, there's a good chance that Jacobs could stick around Charleston.

According to Jacobs, she now has her nursing license in the state and she told The Daily Dish that she has really made Charleston her home, not relying on Ravenel as much.

She explained, "Once I started working, I got a job, traveling, driving, I started to see it with a different perspective, not just going out to dinners and driving with my boyfriend.

I'm like, 'I've got to get around town.' I'm like, 'Wow, this is my home.' I have to give myself a pat on the back because I never thought I would get to this place where even if things didn't work out in my relationship in the future, I could still see myself out there.".

  The best place in the world is in the arms of someone who will not only hold you at your best, but will pick you up and hug you tight in your weakest moment.

This may upset some of the Southern Charm cast members who have expressed their disdain for Jacobs.

And, Kathryn Dennis isn't the only "charmer" who yearns for Jacobs and Ravenel split up.

According to Reality Blurb, an unexpected person who really wants the couple to break up is Bravo bigwig Andy Cohen.

Backstage at the Southern Charm reunion, he told Reality Blurb that, "I'm rooting for Kathryn [Dennis] a lot this season.

And I was rooting for Thomas to break up with Ashley … I've been stunned, really by Ashley.".

Despite all the hate surrounding the couple's relationship, they continue to carry on with their courtship.

So, how did Ravenel and Jacobs meet in the first place.

According to her press representative Patricia Maristch, the two met when Jacobs was living in California and Ravenel ended up being in the area.

In an article with Romper, Maristch recalled, "Ashley had only seen a few episodes of the show, which she discovered because one of her patients was watching the show and one of her best friends is a big fan … When Ashley was at the bar and saw him she knew she had to get a picture with him to send to her friend, and she also felt bad because he was by himself.

She invited him over to her table with her friends, and the rest is history.".

[NARRATION] Sydney's Jin Wu Koon lion dancers are some of the best in the world.

[WILLIS KOH] You need to have focus at all times. There's no room for error.

[NARRATION] To understand that determination, it's important to know what the lion dance represents.

It goes all the way back to the time of Chinese emperors, who considered the lion a symbol of strength…

a majestic creature that served as a guardian.

To this day, many believe performances like this can help drive away bad fortune.

And that's a mission Willis Koh takes seriously.

[WILLIS] Discipline is everything in this game.

[NARRATION] Just as the lion can overcome obstacles, Willis overcame a fear of heights to perform risky stunts on stilts.

[WILLIS] You've got to have that mentality. You don't have that mentality, then you're going to have these words in the back of your mind saying you can't do it…

you'll never do it, you can't do it again. You just got to get back up and do it.

[NARRATION] During competition season, Willis and his teammates train six nights a week.

It's hard work.

Their costumes block up to 80 per cent of their vision, so they rely on muscle memory and perfect coordination.

But when you're performing atop three-metre poles, things can go wrong.

And during this training session…

something did.

[WILLIS] It was a slight error, just a slight misjudgement and you know, he fell down because of it.

[IAN LIM] I landed just a bit short of the plate and I just missed my toes on the plate and hit my knee against the edge there. A bit painful.

[NARRATION] This is not the first time Ian Lim has fallen.

[IAN] I've broken ribs. I've broken 4 ribs on this side and 3 on this side. Broke my sternum before.

[NARRATION] Not that he'll get much sympathy from his fellow dancers.

[WILLIS] If that happened in a competition, then we'll lose a lot of marks and we're totally out of the game.

[NARRATION] They might consider themselves family, but they also believe in tough love.

[WILLIS] We have a simple motto. You fall, you just get back up and do it again.

[NARRATION] Sometimes they can't get back up. Andy Vo once fainted during training.

[ANDY VO] We pushed our limits, we pushed our bodies… but that just pushed us even more.

[NARRATION] In fact, it pushed Andy and Willis all the way to Malaysia where in 2016, they won the Western Lion King title.

Jin Wu Koon is now in hot demand. They perform regular shows while in training to again represent Australia.

[WILLIS] This is one way of keeping the Chinese tradition alive because many things get lost, you know from mainland China

and Asia itself so this is our little bit of keeping the tradition alive.

[NARRATION] Tradition clearly matters here… even when an old lion costume needs replacing.

[IAN] We can't just throw them away. We have to burn them and let their spirit return to heaven.

[NARRATION] That level of respect has helped them marry art and sport as they strive for perfection.

Tsu Surf, the New Jersey battle rapper, was shot in Newark on July 25.

That's according to tweets from his manager, DaBlocc Obama, who began sending messages in the early hours of July 26.

One message from DaBlocc read, "The strong survive….I appreciate everyone reaching out to me and checking on the situation.

Everything is ok considering the circumstances.

#InTheBunchWeTrust." DaBlocc followed that up with messages that said that Surf was in surgery but that he would pull through.

DaBlocc wrote, "Just another day in Newark." He added, "My boy a survivor! Expect more pain in his music.".

Later, DaBlocc wrote, "Outta surgery but not in good shape.

Thank God they didn't take him away from me tho.".

Surf's real name is Rahjon Cox.

His originally full rap battle moniker was Tsunami Surf.

In a 2011 interview, Surf talked about how he came upon the name saying, "Me and my boys used to chill at this skating rink and these females came up with nick names for us.

I remember they used to call me like Silver Surfer, so Surfer had stuck.

Then my boy put Tsunami in front of it and I liked it.

Once I started getting into this music stuff heavy, we realized that the average American can't spell Tsunami, so we shortened it to Tsu.

That's pretty much how we came to that.".

 "The same goes for Thibault Courtois, he's an integral part of their plans. I like him a lot, he's what you want in a goalkeeper and covers the whole goal

 "N'Golo Kante is another that Chelsea need to keep. He's the spine of the team, he controls the pitch and fights for everything

 "It will help with the new manager, Maurizio Sarri, as it will drive competition for places and the squad will want to show how good they are

" Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge revealed this week that he would be surprised if Hazard and Courtois both went to Real

 "In Eden Hazard we are talking the guy who is central to Chelsea getting back in the top four," said Bridge

"If Chelsea lose Hazard, I'm not putting them back in the top four. "You wouldn't see Hazard leaving if they do have an agreement with Courtois

His is a personal problem. I'd be very surprised if Hazard and Courtois do go to Real

Einige entwickeln sich aus kleinen Liebhaberprojekten – z.B. aus Kurzfilmen, die Regisseure lediglich als Fingerübung umgesetzt heben, die Fan-Produktionen auf YouTube waren oder die von Produzenten auf internationalen Wettbewerben entdeckt wurden

 Hier ein paar berühmte Beispiele:1. „Machete" (2010)  Kurioserweise begann die Full Length-Fassung als Fake-Trailer innerhalb des Horror-Actioners „Planet Terror" von 2007

Der Spot war dermaßen überdreht und spaßig, dass Regisseur Rodriguez ihn einfach als eigenständigen Film umsetzen musste

2. „Lights Out" (2016)  Der brillante Horrorstreifen „Lights Out" von David F. Sandberg ging als Kurzfilm viral

Der Langfilm machte einen Umsatz von spektakulären 148,9 Millionen Dollar – bei einem Budget von 4,9 Millionen Dollar

3. „Das ist das Ende" (2013)  Der Fantasy-Klamauk „Das ist das Ende" mit Seth Rogen und Sahneschnittchen James Franco funktioniert als hyperventilierende Hollywood-Satire auch in Spielfilmlänge hervorragend, begann jedoch als Kurzfilm unter dem Titel „Jay & Seth vs

The Apocalypse".4. „Sin City" (2005)  Eigentlich wollte Comic-Großmeister Frank Miller, desillusioniert von der Filmbranche, keine Adaptionen seiner Werke mehr gestatten

Um ihn zu überzeugen, drehte Robert Rodriguez den Kurzfilm „The Customer is always right", in dem er das Comic-Original so liebevoll in bewegte Bilder übersetzte, dass Miller einfach nicht nein sagen konnte

5. „Saw" (2004)  James Wan und Autor/ Darsteller Leigh Whannell schafften es nicht, den Film in Australien umzusetzen, also versuchten sie es in Hollywood

Um Produzenten von dem Stoff zu überzeugen, drehten sie einen intensiven Kurzfilm mit dem gleichen Titel – der Beginn eines bislang achtteiligen Franchise

6. „12 Monkeys" (1995)  Der 60er-Streifen „Le Jetée" von Chris Marker beeinflusste „12 Monkeys"-Regisseur Terry Gilliam maßgeblich, und er übernahm viele Einfälle aus dem Kurzfilm ganz direkt für seine Produktion

7. „Boogie Nights" (1997)  Bereits 1988, im Alter von 17 Jahren, drehte Regisseur Paul Thomas Anderson den Kurzfilm „The Dirk Diggler Story"

Viele Szenen schafften es auch in die Langfassung mit Mark Wahlberg als Pornostar, obwohl sich die Tonalität änderte: „Boogie Nights" war als Drama, „The Dirk Diggler Story" dagegen als Mockumentary ausgelegt

8. „District 9" (2009)  Der Sci-Fi-Erfolg begann als Proof of Concept für die Umsetzung der Alien-Technologien

Der Kurzfilm mit dem Titel „Alive in Joburg" von Neill Blomkamp war so gut, dass Peter Jackson den jungen Filmemacher für die Umsetzung der Film-Adaption „Halo" engagierte

Als dieses Projekt scheiterte, übernahm Blomkamp viele der Ursprungsideen für „District 9", der später für den Oscar nominiert wurde

9. „Half Nelson" (2006)  Das Drama, mit dem Ryan Gosling eine Oscar-Nominierung als bester Hauptdarsteller einheimste, gewann beim Sundance-Festival 2004 den Hauptpreis – als Miniatur in der Kategorie „Bester Kurzfilm"10
