Our Universe is full of mysteries.
Astronomers have always tried to decipher the night sky and gain a better understanding of the Cosmos,
but what are the hottest topics right now in astronomy?
Every night, telescopes like ESO's
are used to investigate a host of astronomical mysteries.
We asked astronomers to identify some of the most exciting questions in cutting-edge astronomy.
These scientists are part of the team who review thousands of observing proposals every year.
They make sure that only the most interesting science is done with ESO's telescopes.
One of the major science questions at the moment in cosmology is trying to understand the dark side of our Universe.
We know that there are two entities on the dark side, something called dark matter,
which is the strong gravitational force in our universe, and something called dark energy,
which is mysteriously causing the expansion of our Universe to get faster and faster each and every day.
Now if we want to understand these dark components of the Universe,
then what we have to do is take really large
surveys of the sky to really map out where the dark matter is and really constrain how dark energy is
changing how those structures of dark matter evolve with time.
On the galaxy side, one of the big
new science areas that's been coming out is a really exciting science case that looks at very distant quasars.
Now it looks at the light from these distant quasars, and as that light travels towards us on earth, it gets
absorbed by some of the clumps of gas and stuff that's in between us and them, and so they can use these
observations to map out where all of the gas is in our Universe between us and those quasars.
It's a really newly emerging field, where you can use this information to look at how that gas is moving,
how it's funneling in and feeding galaxies and creating new stars.
These distant quasars can also be used to understand an era in the very early universe,
an era known as reionisation.
The Universe nowadays is ionised, since almost the beginning of the Universe with the Big Bang.
After the Big Bang there was a period of neutral Universe,
we call it the dark times and after that the reionisation started,
and we don't know very well what produced that reionisation.
Can be quasars, can be galaxies. So many teams are
devoted to that kind of science.
Another hot topic is what is the life cycle of a galaxy? A galaxy is formed by gas, which accretes
gravitationally into a potential world, but then you may ask the question:
how do the metals, the heavy elements that we see in the circumgalactic medium and
perhaps also in the intergalactic medium get there? How are these metals
transported back from the galaxy to the
surroundings of the galaxies.
Galaxies aren't the only structures we don't yet fully understand.
Astronomers are also
investigating globular clusters,
spherical groups of stars, which orbit the cores of galaxies.
Globular clusters were thought to be all very
monotonic all the same types of stars born at the same time with the same metallicity living the same life,
but it turns out in fact there are multiple populations of stars, which means they were either
born at different times or they lived a slightly different life, or maybe they came in from the outside.
And so trying to understand this process that's a lot of proposals on this particular subject at the moment.
There's also a lot of interesting proposals on what are called transient objects,
which are objects that go off and then that's it.
And you want to catch them when they go off. There are proposals that are trying to look for candidates
to see where they are and then when they go off, you know what they were before, and
some of these transients they go off, but then they have an afterglow,
and you want to be able to catch these with different sorts of instrumentation
to find out what's happening to them afterwards because then you can figure out what they are.
A particularly interesting type of transient event is
supernovae.
These dazzling explosions can fade from view after only a matter of weeks,
but which stars do they originate from?
Supernova type 1a progenitor, that's a kind of
supernova, which are
important because astronomers
believe that the energy produced during such an event is more or less the same for all of them so they are used in
cosmology as
standard candles.
We know how big is the universe, how it evolves. We know all this by using this object as this
distance calibrator. These objects provide this information, but yet we don't know their progenitors.
We never saw a star which erupted as such a supernova before the eruption and that's something which people
are very interested in and we hunt for them.
Supernovae aren't the only mysterious objects in our Universe. In fact more and more are being discovered.
There are a number of very interesting topics that people are trying to pursue at the moment.
Some deal with the supermassive black holes that reside in the centre of galaxies, and
how they connect with the rest of the galaxy.
Others are
about very small and very faint galaxies that we actually discovered only a few years ago that they exist and
just trying to get their
properties is a very difficult and challenging task. And there are also
proposals that deal with things that we've known for many years
but the explanation of the physical processes that are happening is eluding us.
Many astronomers are also excited about what we will discover much closer to home.
I think the hot science is really in the field of extrasolar planets, in particular observations.
There are two things happening with them. The first is
observations
through either direct or indirect means of smaller and smaller planets around dimmer and dimmer stars,
so you're looking really we're on the hunt now for Earth-like planets around
Solar type stars as well as red dwarfs, right.
And then also at the same time we have the capability now on ESO to really actually study their atmospheres
directly, right, which is which is absolutely mind-boggling.
These topics are being investigated by astronomers around the globe using world-class facilities like ESO's.
Their findings will deepen our understanding of the Universe.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 Review - Duration: 19:40.
welcome everyone I'm Ricky from Tech Talk this is a Samsung Galaxy Tab s4
sit back and enjoy the review the Samsung Galaxy s4 was designed for super
tasking so you can multitask and do everything you need productivity wise
and creative wise but also another great feature on this tablet and there are so
many is the content viewing it has a great display paired with great audio
systems the Tab s 4 was released in August 2018 so just over six months has
passed and I believe it's one of the best options for an Android tablet
whether sampson and android work together bringing software and hardware
together makes a fantastic device as you may know on the channel I also have an
iPad pro but I've been going to this for the display and for the sound it's just
been really enjoyable and it really enhances well them to really work
together the software and the hardware from Samson is just enjoyable making it
very easy for productivity and very easy and enjoyable for content viewing so it
comes in two colors there's black or grey I've got the black model now I want
to take you around the device and I want to talk in detail about key aspects
first of all is the display it's a Super AMOLED display on Samsung which is a
wqxga to competitive touch screen it has 16 million colors and it comes alive
the screen size itself is 10.5 inches and that's always corner to corner but I
normally use this always in landscape mode so it can be used in portrait as
well the choice is yours so you can just bring this around into portrait tilt it
up and then it becomes into portrait I think the landscape option is a lot
easier to use and this is where you get more enjoyment from your content with
over 16 million colors your content really comes alive and really enjoyable
the resolution of the display is 1600 by 2560 I'll give you a pixel density of
287 the aspect ratio for this display is 16 by 10 so as you may notice around the
edge you do have four borders they are very narrow compared to the first
generations and the previous generations but they are not too in-your-face and
too noticeable it makes it look really nice it makes it look professional and a
sleek design when you look at the iPad pro they are very similar in size but
with this it gives a high screen to body ratio of 78.6%
which is really good loads of screen and not too much bezels
of course in one bezel you've got though all your sensors and a camera as well
it's an 8 megapixel front-facing camera for your selfies and enjoy taking
selfies in great detail as an f-1 point nine aperture and video recording is
available at 1080p at 30 frames per second million rounds on the rear of our
tab s4 first of all at the top you're going to find a single lens camera which
is 13 megapixel and offers autofocus the aperture on that lens is in 1.9
underneath you will see an LED flash and as always with Samson you have great
amount of modes on here HDR panorama has many others that I'll show you in the
camera application as the ability to record video in 4k at 30 frames per
second looking down the left-hand side you can see it's ultra thinness and also
you can see four gold pins that will connect to the Samsung keyboard which is
sold separately when I talk about thinness is only 7.1 millimeters thick
as a great way to it as well this is 483 grams or the LTE model and 482 grams for
the Wi-Fi only model denser bottom and the Tab s for first of all you're going
to notice two antenna bars running parallel you've got two of your four
tuned AKG speakers and you have a 3.5 headphone jack so it still retains a
headphone jack which is great to see and in the middle is a USB see three point
one generation one connection port this is for syncing and charging your device
when it comes to charging there is a large seven thousand three hundred
million power battery so it uses fast charging up to 18 watt taking a look
down the right-hand side best of all you have your power and you have your volume
rockers sadly there's no textual difference between these in the middle
is a microphone then coming down is your dual tray for your SIM card and SD cards
this takes a nano-sized slim and a micro SD card up to 400 gigabytes moving on to
power and performance and for this a lot of people look at the Geekbench results
so we're going to install this while I'm talking about the power and performance
it's running Android 8.1 but they have guaranteed this device to get Android 2
9 which is PI very soon the chipset is a koala comm Snapdragon 835 10 nanometer
chipset does really good powerhouse built-in as you can see
you can see some respect here what we're actually going to do is run a CPU
benchmark inside is an octa-core processor which means it has eight cores
as four cores running at two point three five gigahertz which is Cairo and four
cores running at one point nine gigahertz that's also Cairo the GPU
inside which is your graphics is an Adreno 540 there's four gigabytes of RAM
of bar charging available which means the large seven thousand three hundred
million power battery will last up to 16 hours of video playback also it's USB C
is 3.1 and it's the first generation of USB C so as you can see our results are
in for single core score with scored 1849 a multi-core score we scored six
thousand five hundred and eighty six so first of all scrolling down you can see
where it was scored and what it was scored against then you can come into
single core score and then at the top here you've got the Samsung Galaxy Note
8 you've got the Samsung Galaxy s8 so you can see how well it's actually done
and obviously you coming down here you've got the Google pixel and other
devices and then if we go into our multi-core score here I believe we're at
the top yes we are so we've beaten everything so it just shows you how much
power and performance it's actually inside here so when you look at power
performance why do you need the power performance notes to run games such as
mobile pug G and also for tonight they are very user friendly on here and very
playable which is really good and obviously during my review you can see
some gameplay also to go along with the power and performance you need Wi-Fi or
LTE this model is an LTE model so I can add in a data SIM card I still have the
ability to make phone calls as you can see I can make a phone call here if I so
wish to which is a great option the data sim goes in here at the sides and that
is a nano sized SIM card and a micro SD card up to 400 gigabytes
when considering to buy the tab s4 there are two storage options as either 64
gigabytes or 256 but with that SD card storage up to 400 gigabytes you can
really expand your storage options one finest as well as buying the tab s4 you
will also receive a free Samson S Pen so you get the pen free
competitor manufacturers that make you buy this
which is a really good option so the S Pen is really enjoyable and it has
multiple different functions on the tablet as you can see when I first use
this there's a little symbol here at the side if your whole ray of different
things that you can go through and there's multiple ones that you can use
one I actually like is pen up here and this is where you can learn to draw so
you can draw all different things in different actions which is really good
like you're all people you could draw a penguin and I showed in my basics video
and the S Pen video how this actually works and I went into great detail you
can use the S Pen to then maneuver around your device very quickly and
coming over to the far left is Bixby so Bixby is on here and enjoyable big
speeds always improving and always getting better I believe they're coming
back here and using this S Pen Beach on the sides and like I said you can make
live messages you can create notes you can do screen like shot and then
actually write something on it and then send it to someone so one other great
feature that I like with the S Pen is when the actual tab is turned on then
you press the button and then a light note will come up and you can actually
start writing a note on here so high so you can actually write notes on here
it's great for shopping it's great for making notes if you need to make a quick
note you can also press the butter net and use that as an eraser so that's also
a great option you can then save it send it whatever you need to do and if you
need to write a shopping list or to-do list you can do bullet points you can
move further down if you so wish to so I could do film in here if you edit and of
course upload that's what I need to do with the tab s4
and that'll make all of you guys are really happy I hope it's so fun to use
and so enjoyable and again with the button you can just erase all of that
and actually get on with a show which is really good option here and I've really
enjoyed using the s-pen we can then turn this into portrait look at the camera
here and we should be able to get in there we go
we're back in and then you can use the s-pen as well so when you get the case
as well it will magnetically connect to the keyboard case but the moment you do
have to carry this around separate it does come with a lid as well which is
really handy so that in the Box you also can receive other tips and the tool to
replace these tips when worn out there is multiple different levels of pressure
they have 4096 different levels of pressure for this it weighs 91 grams the
size is 138 millimeter so vaccine length and also nine point two millimeters
thick and the size of diameter of the tip is 0.7 ultra-thin which is really
good so as I showed you when we looked around the tablet now our four speakers
on it all tuned by AKG so you know you're gonna get great sound quality but
there's also something else added to this tab that is a surround sound with
Dolby Atmos technology it's really really good how amazing it was it's
fantastic when viewing contents and its really pulled me into my content viewing
on this device so if you pull down and show all your widgets and all your
changeable functions here so you've got Wi-Fi Bluetooth torch everything you
need to know inside here that you can change and - your mobile data of course
brightness if we come across it you've got some cool Dolby Atmos so this is
already turned on press and hold it'll take you into the actual setting options
here where you can change and adjust it so inside here you've got Auto you've
got movie music and then voice so it depends on the choice that you want to
have it with but also it depends on your content having Dolby Atmos as well and
the playback is really fantastic it's really enjoyable so I know I've got my
microphone on but I want to show you the actual experience with Dolby Atmos and
how it feels so what we'll do first of all is power the volume all the way up
to the top level here and I'll play the track first of all with Dolby Atmos
turned on and I'm actually going to use the Dolby one here on YouTube
then what I do is I turn it off and hopefully will notice a difference
welcome to Dolby Atmos please put on your headphones it's a new way to
experience sound unlike stereo which is limited to two audio channels Dolby
Atmos can manipulate individual sounds in 3d space to position sounds all
around sounds can move above you our way or right up close
let's compare this aster and this is
can build worlds of foundation any story it catches all the little details puts
you in center of the action
and transports you far away
go inside the story with Rachel Simmons dolby atmos now let's experience the
same video but actually turn the dolby atmos off you should only hear the
stereo sound options so if I go into the settings like I showed you before go
along here and we'll turn it off welcome to Dolby Atmos please put on your
headphones it's a new way to experience sound unlike stereo which is limited to
two audio channels Dolby Atmos can manipulate individual sounds in 3d space
to position sounds all around you sounds can move above you far away or right up
close
let's compare this is stereo and this is doable
Moebius can build worlds of family any story it catches all the little details
puts you in center of the action
just like the real world
and transports you far away
go inside the story with Rachel Simmons dolby atmos
so hopefully you experience the difference is there I want to show you
and give you my impressions of it there is a real difference there Thanks all
four speakers tuned by AKG which is hardly common they sound absolutely
fantastic and then add in the level of Dolby Atmos as well it just makes your
content just so enjoyable as long as your content offers Dolby Atmos as well
so thanks to the display having a Super AMOLED display with a high resolution
and the audio that is why I said right at the beginning it makes it such an
enjoyable tablet to watch content on there just so pulled in and immersed in
your content is absolutely great video playback is in UHD 4k that's at 60
frames per second the downside is that it can only record 4k at 30 frames per
second build into this tablet is the ability to use Samsung decks for tablet
with a separate cable which is sold separately but it does give you the
ability to take your productivity even further by connecting it up to a display
which is absolutely great so the file systems that you know that comes with
Android and you're not locked out you can really make your productivity work
for you no matter what you want to do from the 10 point five inch display on a
40 plus inch display or 27 inch display the choice is yours and the Samsung Dex
is great to have that option so samsung also sell a separate keyboard as I
showed you there is the connection along the bottom of your tablet here so you
can connect it into a keyboard the tablets 4 also has the ability to
actually use a bluetooth mouse as well so if you don't want to use your finger
then get all your screen dirty you don't want to use the s-pen you've got another
input option nice to use a mouse as well some people prefer to use a mouse to
manipulate around their device like I discussed earlier XP is it inside here
Expedia is a really good feature and it is always growing in Samsung's own
version of Google assistant Siri and Alexa it's always improving it's always
getting better it's learning it's giving you all the latest news stories
connecting up to your Samsung smart home as well so Bixby is getting there I
think it's an improvement I've just always preferred Google
assistant so with big speed vision that built into this tablet you can use that
for shopping so when you point it at something or try identify it and show
you where and what the item is so you can go
and by it so shopping made easy also it could be used for places so when you're
in a certain location and say you pointed it at Big Ben you'll get
information or the houses of parliament that's right next to it as well it'll
give you detailed information from its database about that certain area you are
in and also what's around you maybe there might be a great restaurant you
want to go to or you can read reviews before you go in to certain attractions
and then finally it gives you the ability to translate text so you may be
in a foreign country or you may come to the UK with your tab s4 and you point it
at the language and it will translate it into any language that's in its database
which is a great option as well as you may know as a Samsung user security is a
high priority to Samsung as well it is to most other companies but this device
comes with not security built in you know protection is in there with a great
level of protection no matter what you do with your device security is also a
highlighting feature when it comes to actually unlocking your tablet so if I
lock mine and then I go to unlock it again so as you can see at the top there
there's a little flash in face so what it's actually doing is using the camera
and the sensors in built on this bezel here to actually unlock that my display
for me without touching it putting in my code or putting a pin pattern or
password security is really good and it actually goes a step further off a new
iris scanner a face detection pin pattern or password or none at all but
do not recommend using none or swipe to actually unlock your tablet as just
anyone could do it and it's not really good for security because there is a lot
of personal information on our devices currently also Samson have a great
option where you can actually use intelligence gun this is where it
combines the iris scanner and the face color together to give a deeper level of
security so as you can tell from my review I've really enjoyed my time at
Samsung Galaxy Tab s for couple of little let downs for me it is it's made
up of all of glass which is okay looks very fancy and looks a great design I do
recommend it goes in a case because I don't want to damage it I don't want to
break it so please put it in a case the display is fantastic the sound is even
better I hope you did get to experience and they'll be at most difference and
then happen it just built-in is fantastic a kg which is owned by
hardened is a great brand and to have all four speakers
by them personally it gives you a great sound experience content has been
enjoyable productivity has worked very well and the flow of using the Tibet
school has been a real enjoyment to me I hope the release of Android nine comes
very quickly to this device as I think it will give it an improvement also big
feet is a great options I have here but also I like the actual light beam from
Google Google assistant is built-in and of course you can press the button here
Google will come up and it will answer any of your questions or you can
download a Google dedicated Google assistant app which is fine but our tips
is really good as well with split-screen option and as I showed you there you can
move your app side-to-side depending what you want to see more of and
productivity can flow and that's what Samsung wants it to be a super
multitasking tablets I think Samsung have done a great job for a great price
so moving on to price 64 gigabyte Wi-Fi model it's gonna cost you five hundred
and forty nine pounds a 64 gigabyte LTE model which I have got is gonna cost you
six hundred and forty nine pounds just a hundred pound difference you look at the
price of the new iPad pros they are pushing the high hundreds moving into
the thousands which personally is too high Samsung Galaxy Tab s fall here
offers so much for such a little price so let me know what you think down below
do you have a tablet for why do you like it
if you're getting one let me know why I want to know why I really want to
connect with you as the audience and grows community so massive thank you to
Samson that sent out the tab s4 really enjoyed my review period with it and I'm
sad to give it away it's gonna be a miss from my content viewing and also
productivity please let me know what you think down below it's always great to
hear from you please give the video a like and subscribe and bring the
notification most updated with all my latest videos from me Ricky I'll see you
very soon bye for now

Dans le Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine,

ESOcast 194: Cutting Edge of Contemporary Astronomy - Duration: 8:00.

Are Kandi Burruss and Husband Todd Having a Baby? | Heavy.com
Xscape singer and reality TV superstar Kandi Burruss may be out of the Celebrity Big Brother house, but things are still as juicy as ever on The Real Housewives of Atlanta's eleventh season.
Fans have been speculating whether or not Burruss is pregnant.
In the trailer for Season 11 that dropped in October, Married to Medicine cast member Dr.
Jackie Walters made a cameo appearance and asked Kandi, "Are you pregnant?" In the clip, Kandi told her no, but is then seen crying while saying, "It's weird to talk about it." In another scene, Kandi's daughter Riley told her, "No more babies.
We don't need another." Based on that, it seems that Kandi and her husband Todd Tucker might be trying to add another child to their family.
But is the singer currently pregnant? No, she's not.
The singer, 42, shut down pregnancy rumors in a recent interview with Essence, but admitted she's open to expanding her family.
"We're definitely trying to figure out ways to grow our family," she said.
"I know a lot of people thought that meant that I was pregnant.
But I'm not pregnant. Let's be clear.
I saw that floating around the internet.".
.
While Burruss has watched other cast members like Porsha Williams and Kenya Moore get pregnant, the singer said she's just "being patient.
"You know how we all just think it's easy? You're going to get pregnant whenever you feel like it?" she asked while laughing.
"For years and years, I was on birth control [and I] didn't even know that I didn't need it anymore.".
Burruss is currently a mother of three.
She had a daughter named Rily Burruss, now 16, with ex-boyfriend Russell "Block" Spencer.
In July of 2015 Burruss announced she was pregnant with her husband Tucker, and the following January the couple welcomed a son, Ace Wells Tucker.
Tucker has one daughter from a previous relationship, Kaela Tucker, 22.
In an interview with Bravo's The Daily Dish from October, Kandi dished on the upcoming season.
She said, "There's so much going on right now.
For real, Todd and I are…let's just say we're figuring out the possibilities of expanding our family.".
Burruss is best known for being a member of the R&B group Xscape.
She also released two solo albums, 2000's Hey Kandi… and 2010's Kandi Koated.
In 2000, she won a Grammy Award for Best R&B Song for her writing contributions to TLC's "No Scrubs." Burruss has also written tracks for Destiny's Child ("Bills, Bills, Bills"), Pink ("There You Go"), and is credited as a songwriter on Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You." She's been a star of The Real Housewives of Atlanta since the show's second season and also participated in RHoA spin-off series including The Kandi Factory, Kandi's Wedding, and Kandi's Ski Trip.
On this season's Celebrity Big Brother, she made it all the way to finale night before getting evicted from the house and placing in fifth.
Hey twitter fam! It's been a month since I was on twitter.
Thank you to everyone who watched #CelebrityBigBrother & a special thanks to all the #KandiCanes out there who were sending me love & prayers.
Being in the #BigBrother house is harder than you think! — Kandi Burruss (@Kandi) February 16, 2019 .
The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs its fifteenth episode tonight called "Let's Make it Official.
" Other cast members on the show this season include NeNe Leakes, Cynthia Bailey, Porsha Williams, Eva Marcille, and Shamari DeVoe.

Cafu's warning for Trent - & one thing he needs to become the best - Duration: 2:44.
Legendary defender Cafu has warned Trent Alexander-Arnold that he faces a big decision if he is to make the most of his talents
The 20-year-old has enjoyed a whirlwind 18 months for club and country, cementing his place in the Liverpool defence before helping Jurgen Klopp 's side reach the Champions League Final and competing for England at the 2018 World Cup as they reached the semi-finals
We're building up to Jurgen Klopp's press conference HERE The right-back, who is set to make his first start for the Reds in over a month against Bayern Munich on Tuesday night following a knee injury, will be looking to reach further heights again as Liverpool forge their strongest title challenge since last winning the old First Division in 1990
Having faced off against the Reds in two Champions League Finals in 2005 and 2007, the Brazilian World Cup winner has always been respected by Liverpool fans and had a vested interest in the progress of former defender Jon Flanagan after supporters christened him the 'Scouse Cafu' during their last title challenge in 2014
And Cafu has warned Alexander-Arnold he can't take anything for granted if he is to make the best of his abilities
"To play for the England national team, you have to be very good," he said. "And to play at Liverpool, you have to be very, very good

Dans le Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine,

but it turns out in fact there are multiple populations of stars, which means they were either
born at different times or they lived a slightly different life, or maybe they came in from the outside.

INTER 2-1 SAMPDORIA | RADJA NAINGGOLAN INTERVIEW: "It's a win that shows our unity" - Duration: 6:43.
Radja, you've escalated really well:
an assist last week and a goal this.
But let's start with you as a team,
as from the start today
you showed you wanted to take home the points.
Yes, away from the pitch
it's been a difficult period for us;
the only thing we can do
is let our football do the talking.
Right from the start you could tell we wanted to win
and we achieved it.
You got the victory in front of the fans,
who supported you from beginning to end.
Radja, now let's talk about you,
you've spoken to us about your journey at Inter:
you haven't been fully fit
and have worked long and hard.
The results are finally beginning to show,
although they already were actually,
but you really had your say today.
Yes, I'm pleased, above all for the win,
plus everybody likes scoring
especially when it's the winner.
Once again, winning brings a sense of calm,
in which you can work well.
I think we're showing that we're united at the moment
and we want to prove that we deserve to be where we are.
We have to continue like this and recover;
a big factor today was the fact
that we're playing again in three days.
I think we fought well and a times played nice football.
We can definitely improve further,
but getting the win was the important thing
to stay ahead of the teams behind us.
That's just what I wanted to ask you:
AC Milan won against Atalanta yesterday
so they're breathing down your neck a bit,
but today's result consolidates what you've built over these months.
Yes, the other teams are pushing us;
there are a lot of them.
Any false step can create tension on the pitch,
as you're aware they're right behind you.
We have to do what's required of us
and hope that sooner or later the other teams drop points
to increase our gap on them.
You only had a few days to recover after Rapid Wien
and you're back in action on Thursday to wrap up qualification.
We have to focus immediately on that game.
We'll enjoy these 3 points
and then we have to qualify for the next round.
Rapid run loads and are difficult to face
because they play on the counter,
so we have to prepare at our best
and this victory will help us in that.
Thanks a lot.
Bye.
I just want to say that it was fundamental to win today.
As a team, we fought from the last minute to the last.
We'll take a lot from this victory, from every point of view.
You didn't get a clean sheet, Samir,
but you got an important victory in front of the fans.
From the off, Inter showed they were up for the fight against Sampdoria,
who have done great things this season.
Yes, we were at it from the start,
as we were up against excellent opposition.
They keep possession well
and caused us problems in the first half.
However, we knew they're in a tough patch as well,
so it wasn't easy for them either.
As I said before, it was important to battle hard:
that underlines everything,
all the rest will come.
I'm delighted for the points, the result and the lads tonight.
Alberto?
Good evening, Samir.
Your third win in a row
and perhaps this one feels most yours.
At Parma you had a great performance in the second half;
in Vienna you played well in the first and then controlled the second,
but tonight you could really see the desire to win.
The reaction after 1-1 was instant.
Yes, we wanted to win at any cost.
The results earlier in the afternoon gave us real motivation
after all that happened during the week.
As you approach the end of the season,
all the games are decisive
and Sampdoria were also excellent.
They've won a lot of games against big opposition.
Last question, Samir:
continuity has to be the watch-word.
You need to continue like this in the Europa League and in Serie A.
What's the right way forward,
since you're the captain?
The right way forward is what we showed today:
a team performance of how to fight together.
Thank you.
You're welcome, bye.
Another Inter win following Rapid and Parma.
Your third in a row,
underlining the strength of this squad.
Yes, it was important to build on those results,
but we mustn't stop now.
We've got a big game on Thursday
and another one on Sunday in Florence,
which will be tough.
We have to continue working hard and building on this.
Alberto?
Hi Matteo, good evening.
How do you view tonight's game, after Parma and Vienna,
in terms of the strength it gives the team?
Today gives us a lot.
We played on a tough pitch on Thursday
and weren't at our best,
but today we did well,
especially in the first 45
playing in their half.
We're pleased and we have to continue down this path.
Do you miss scoring at all?
You came close on a number of occasions today
and we've lost count of the number of shots
at the far post that don't miss by much.
Obviously when you win it's easier to cope with this,
but personally do you miss this satisfaction?
Yes, but that's normal.
The team is always more important,
so as long as we're winning,
it doesn't matter who is scoring.
Last question and we'll say goodbye:
we understood tonight that it's impossible to stop you:
you're either picking up yellows
or running down the wing and all over the pitch.
I felt better physically today than on Thursday,
although I dropped off a bit in the second half,
but I have to continue working hard.
Thanks.
Thanks to you.

ESOcast 194: Cutting Edge of Contemporary Astronomy - Duration: 8:00.

Maserati GranTurismo 2019 Review - Australia - Duration: 4:34.
What's it all about? If you marvel at the fact that some new sports cars have more lines of code than an Airbus A380, then consider this: the Maserati GranTurismo predates the Apple iPhone
And that, in essence, is key to its appeal. First unveiled to the world at the 2007 Geneva motor show, the Italian car-maker's two-plus-two V8 coupe (joined by the GranCabrio convertible in 2010) is now one of the oldest 'new' cars on the road, even withstanding the mid-life developments it has had over a 12-year life cycle
Maserati's enduring coupe won't be around much longer: carsales.com.au has learned the GranTurismo and GranCabrio will both cease production at the end of 2019
Before the GranTurismo's omission from Maserati's Australian line-up, we saw it fit to take this awe-inspiring atmo V8 for one final blast around the Sydney Motorsport Park
Elements of the drive experience are largely predictable – the GT weighs circa-1900kg, measures 5
3 metres long and employs ageing technology – yet this is a car that will still satisfying your urges when driven in the desired manner
How much will it cost? The GranTurismo will set you back $295,000 (plus on-road costs) in regular guise, with the MC Sportline version driven here chiming in at $345,000 (plus ORCs)
Options including a $24,783 Pearlescent Paint Rosso Italiano paint job balloon that figure to a hefty $391,993 before on-roads
At that sort of money, the Maser competes on price with other front/front-mid-engined hotrods including the Mercedes-AMG GT, Aston Martin DB11 and Jaguar F-TYPE V8
The difference here is that, unlike all those rivals, the GT still uses a naturally-aspirated V8 engine and traditional hydraulic steering
Then there is the mid/rear engine cohort to consider: the McLaren 570S, Audi R8 and Porsche 911 being the most notable examples
A mild facelift in 2018 has helped the GranTurismo age perhaps more gracefully than it might have otherwise, though a cursory glance over the car reveals some elements are way off the pace of rivals
The GranTurismo isn't the strongest car in terms of resale either. The private price guide for a three-year-old example is $184,300-$197,600, according to data analysts Redbook
However, the industry's increasing move to turbocharging and electrification might change that in the future
Why should/shouldn't I buy it? In some people's minds, the sound of the GranTurismo banging on the rev-limiter will probably be worth the price of admission alone
On this particular day, we're at the Sydney Motorsport Park participating in Maserati's Ultimate Drive Day Experience, where a mechanically unsympathetic (read: merciless) driver is doing their best drifting impersonation on a wet skid pan
The subject's if-in-doubt-bury-your-right-foot mentality is entirely ineffective, but from 50 metres away, the sound is incredible
And believe it or not, sound is now a major point of difference amid today's turbocharged age
Theatrical and beguiling, the GranTurismo largely shirks the supercar elite's use of new driver aids, tech functions and turbo engines
Instead, it takes it old school, solely relying on feel and feedback to communicate progress
The GranTurismo wins points for its relatively spacious 2+2 layout, and subjectively, for its styling
The rear seat layout is capable of ferrying two adults around in relative comfort on shorter trips, something that cannot be said of many rivalling cars
Worked effectively on a skid pan, the GranTurismo's movements are predictable and the car is relatively easy to throttle steer, even withstanding its short wheelbase
On circuit, the GranTurismo harnesses its heft amply, too, so long as you work with it
Despite body roll and pitch, a lengthening brake pedal action and a considerable kerb weight, the Maser will deliver an admirable lap time and an obligatory smile with smooth movements and adjusted line selection
The hydraulic steering system is infused with feel and feedback, transferring small nuances from the road into the driver's hands, and weighing up amply through corners
It's not perfect or entirely precise, but it feels organic. Similarly, the engine and gearbox don't tend to collaborate as effectively as rivalling cars – to the point where it's easier to push across the gate to manual mode and shift for yourself
Doing so ensures no sharp back-pedalling through the gears, and makes the most of the engine's punchy mid-range reserves
Downshifts are complemented by automatic blipping, which only reinforces the car's huge aural appeal
Work the controls correctly and the GranTurismo will reach triple figures from rest in 4
7 seconds, hitting peak power and torque from 7000rpm and 4750rpm respectively. Middling revs are where the engine feels its strongest, pulling strongly towards the car's redline
There are no such rewards for the ham-fisted. The GranTurismo simply protests with understeer, tyre squeal and unnecessary front-to-rear lift under acceleration
Why wouldn't you purchase a GranTurismo? Dynamically, it's a fairly blunt instrument
But you've probably already established that; and granted, this is more grand tourer than all-out race car
Similarly, the interior is feeling its age, with myriad hard-wired buttons, analogue controls and a dated climate control interface
Push-button start? No such luxury here. Stumping up $350K for this level of equipment is slightly absurd, but then, no-one buys a Maserati for its switchgear
When is it available in Australia? With a production end date now within sight, expect the last shipments of GranTurismo and GranCabrio to land in Australia around mid-2020
Sales figures aren't massive for either car (58 combined annually), though demand could spike once enthusiasts get wind of the GranTurismo's demise
Who will it appeal to? Since Maserati actively targets its cars as grand tourers rather than all-out track cars, the GranTurismo best suits those after gentle winding roads on weekends away
The 260-litre boot will swallow a couple of overnight bags, and while we didn't drive public roads on this occasions, experience shows the GranTurismo is reasonably compliant in its on-road ride and handling
So, what do we think? There is nothing logical about purchasing a supercar, but then there is even less logic around buying a GranTurismo
This is effectively a 12-year-old car (withstanding mid-life updates) with an older technology, inferior performance and an ageing interior
But then, you turn the key and logic is quickly pervaded by a spike in revs before the engine settles into its lumpy idle
It's a language even the iPhone generation can appreciate. How much does the 2019 Maserati GranTurismo MC cost? Price: $345,000 (plus on-road costs) Engine: 4
7-litre V8 petrol Output: 338kW/520Nm Transmission: Six-speed automatic / manual Fuel: 13
3L/100km (ADR Combined) CO2: 331g/km (ADR Combined) Safety rating: Not tested
