Given 2 sides of a triangle determine the possible lengths of the 3rd side - Duration: 4:41.
Welcome back to speller math tutorials in today's clip. We're going to be working with the sides of a triangle and given two sides
We're going to figure out what the length is of the or the possible lengths of the third side
Before we continue if you find this clip to be helpful, please remember to Like share and or subscribe
Well to figure out what the third side is we take what's given in this case?
We see that we have a 12 and a 7. So let's go ahead and add those two lengths together
So here we have 12 plus 7 and we see that there gives us 19
The next simple calculation or operation we're going to do with subtraction
So now we're going to take those two lengths 12, and then we want to subtract off 7
And then we come up with 5
So here we have 2 boundaries the boundary of 5 and 19
all we need to remember though is that
The third length is never going to be 5 and it's never going to be 19
It has to fall between 5 and 19. I've created a model. So we're going to take a look at the model to better
Well actually to visually show
How this works
so here we have the triangle with a length AC has a length of 12 units and
VA has a length of 7 units and then here we have our variable length note that I'm calling C B
notice that as I move B
We see that B is approaching. Well as I move B, we see the variable length is increasing and with its approaching 19
But notice that as is getting closer and closer and closer to 19 notice here that it never actually
Gets to 19 as I continue to circle around we see that that length is now getting shorter shorter and shorter
We see it should be approaching 5
But it should never become 5 and as we go around we see we get very close to 5
But it never actually is 5 all right
So that's the first one let's go and move on to the second one again. The operations are very easy
We're going to add the two numbers together then subtract them. So we're going to do 11 plus 6 and
That there's going to give us 17. Then we're going to do 11 minus 6 and that gives us 5 so again,
We have our boundaries between 5 and 17
So 5 has to be so X is between the values of 5 and 17 notice with my inequalities. They aren't any equal signs
I'm just using the less than signs here to show that that variable length has to be between
At 17, but that is not inclusive. And again, let's take a look at
model
so here we come over and
We see the variable length here right now is at seven point three
We have the two fixed lengths de is at six and D F is at eleven as we rotate around
We see that we're close to five very close to five
But again not five as we continue to rotate around that variable length increases it approaches 17 and here we see
We're very close to 17 16 point nine nine. But again, not 17
All right, let's move over and do the last example here here. We have 8 and 9. Let's go ahead and add those two together
So here we have 8 plus 9 which gives us 17 and then we're going to do 9 minus 8
Which gives us 1 so again, we have our boundaries of 1 and 17
So we see that one less than or equal to X less than equal to 17 again
The lengths will not be either 1 or 17 has to fall between those two values and let's look at this last
model here
So here with the last model again, let's
Let's move H
well
we have the we have the fixed length of
IG at 9 + GH at 8 which was given and now we're going to rotate this
There's a vertex H around. It's currently at 14 and 1/2. We see it's increasing
It's going toward 17, but notice here that it will not be 17 16.99. Very close, but not
17 as we swing it around it gets smaller and smaller and smaller
Notice that it should be approaching 1
But it should never actually be 1 and as we get closer and closer we see that we're right there at one point zero zero
Five three so very close to one. But again, not not one. All right
Well that sums up this tutorial by spell of math tutorials

Miranda Lambert's Husband Accused Of Being Engaged When He Got Woman Pregnant - Breaking News 247 - Duration: 2:21.
Miranda Lambert's new husband has been accused of cheating on his ex-fiancée by the woman's mother! Brendan McLoughlin's romantic history is just a little more complicated than anyone anticipated! Miranda Lambert's new husband cheated on his alleged ex-fiancée and got another woman pregnant, according to his ex's mother
Carol Bruno told Us Weekly that her daughter, Jackie Bruno, was engaged to Brendan when he allegedly cheated on her with Kaihla Rettinger, the mother of his three-month-old son
"[Jackie] was engaged to Brendan and he cheated on her and got another girl pregnant
It's all true," Carol said. She was thrown for a loop, she had no clue." To make matters worse, Jackie allegedly found out about the infidelity from Kaihla — not Brendan
"Jackie was in Sweden playing professional soccer, got injured and came home and the girl contacted her," Carol told the magazine
"She broke the news to her. [Brendan] tried to deny it and then begged her to stay with him
She was only going for a few months to play, he was begging her to marry him before she left, even though he knew the girl was pregnant
" HollywoodLife reached out to Miranda Lambert's rep for comment but did not immediately hear back
Miranda announced that she and Brendan, 27, were married in a February 16 post on Instagram
She looked radiant in a white, lace dress, and captioned the pic, "In honor of Valentine's Day I wanted to share some news
I met the love of my life. And we got hitched! My heart is full. Thank you Brendan Mcloughlin for loving me for…
me. ❤️." Miranda and the NYPD officer met in November, when her band, The Pistol Annies, performed on Good Morning America and later that night at The Town Hall
Brendan works at the South Midtown police precinct, which covers Times Square, and worked crowd control for the shows

Imaginem o volume desse dinheiro.

ESSENTIALLY.
AND THEN INTO TOMORROW
AFTERNOON, THOSE WINDS WILL

NALCOR KNEW EARLY ON THAT THE
ESTIMATES WERE OFF BUT THE
COMPANY DID VERY LITTLE, IF
ANYTHING, ABOUT IT.
THEY LED THE AUDIT.
>> WHEN DID THAT VARIANCE EXCEED
THE CONTINGENCY SET AT
SANCTIONING?
WHAT THIS TABLE TELLS ME IS THAT
BY APRIL 2013 THAT THE
CONTINGENCY WAS EXHAUSTED.
>> Reporter: THE AUDIT LAYS
OUT MEETINGS WHICH BEGAN IN 2013
BETWEEN PAUL HARRINGTON, THE
LOWER CHURCHILL PROJECT
DIRECTOR, AND NALCOR EXECUTIVE.
ALL WERE BRIEFED ON STEADILY
RISING COSTS EVEN BEFORE
COMMITTING TO THE PROJECT WITH
THESE EARLY WARNING SIGNS THAT
NALCOR COULD HAVE MADE THE
CHANGES PRIOR TO SIGNING A
FEDERAL LOAN GUARANTEE IN
NOVEMBER OF 2013.
AND IT DIDN'T.
WHEN ASKED WHY NALCOR DIDN'T
RECALCULATE THE COST OF THE
PROJECT, HARRINGTON RESPONDED
"NOT MY CALL" AND SAYING THAT
THE DECISION LAY WITH SENIOR
MANAGEMENT, MEANING ED MARTIN
AND GILBERT BENNETT.
AND ONCE THE FEDERAL LOAN
GUARANTEE WAS PUT IN PLACE,
NALCOR WAS COMMITTED.
NALCOR'S OWN CONSULTANT
INDICATED THAT THERE WAS ONLY A
3% CHANCE THAT THE PLAN SCHEDULE
WOULD BE MET IN 2017.
AND IT ALSO SHED LIGHT ON
PERFORMANCE ISSUES AND
ADDITIONAL $884 MILLION DUE IN
LARGE PART TO ASTALDI'S LAGGING
PERFORMANCE POURING CONCRETE,
2.5 TIMES SLOWER THAN IT
ESTIMATED IN ITS BID.
>> WHEN YOU COMPARE THAT, THE
ACTUAL PRODUCTION, TO THIS
AVERAGE OF WHAT THEY HAD TO POUR
ON AN AVERAGE, THEY'VE ONLY HIT
EXCEEDING THE 13,000 METRES --
CUBEIN METRES PER MONTH, 10
TIMES OUT OF 50 MONTHS THEY WERE
POURING CONCRETE.
SO BASICALLY ABOUT 20% OF THE
TIME.

>> Carolyn: WHEN A MOVE THAT'S
RATTLED THE RAFTERS IN OTTAWA,
PRIME MINISTER TRUDEAU'S
PRINCIPAL SECRETARY AND CLOSE
ADVISOR GERALD BUTTS HAS
RESIGNED.
BUTTS DEPARTURE IS COMING AMID A
RISING CLAMOUR FOR ANSWERS
WHETHER THE PRIME MINISTER'S
OFFICE PLAYED A ROLE IN THE
S.N.C.-LAVALIN, JODY
WILSON-RAYBOULD CONTROVERSY.
THE ACQUISITION THAT IS THAT THE
P.M.O. PRESSURED THE FORMER
MINISTER TO HELP S.N.C.-LAVALIN
TO AVOID A TRIAL ON BRIBERY AND
FRAUD CHARGES IN LIBYA.
BUTTS ISSUED A STATEMENT TODAY
DENYING THAT HE OR ANYONE ELSE
IN THE P.M.O. APPLIED PRESSURE
BUT SAID THAT THE ACCUSATIONS
HAVE BECOME A DISTRACTION FROM
THE WORK OF THE PRIME MINISTER
AND HIS OFFICE.
THE OPPOSITION WANTS GERALD
BUTTS TO TESTIFY BEFORE THE
COMMONS JUSTICE COMMITTEE.
THEY ALSO WANT TO HEAR FROM
WILSON-RAYBOULD.
SHE'S SAID NOTHING CITING
SOLICITOR-CLIENT PRIVILEGE AS
THE GOVERNMENT'S FORMER LAWYER.
A PROBE INTO WHETHER THERE WAS
POLITICAL PRESSURE TO HELP
S.N.C.-LAVALIN TO AVOID A
CRIMINAL TRIAL WAS LAUNCHED BY
THE ETHICS COMMISSIONER IN
OTTAWA.
AND TODAY THE N.D.P. ALSO CALLED
FOR PUBLIC INQUIRY INTO THE
MATTER.
>> Anthony: BACK TO THIS
PROVINCE NOW, THERE'S MIXED NEWS
ABOUT THE STATE OF THE FISH
SHRIMPLY TONIGHT.
SCIENTISTS MET WITH REPORTERS
TODAY AND THEY WALKED THEM
THROUGH THE MOST RECENT STOCK
ASSESSMENTS AND THE HEADLINE
THIS TIME IS THAT THE HEALTH OF
THE SHRIMP STOCK KIND OF DEPENDS
WHERE YOU FISH.
IN THE AREA WHERE MOST IN-SHORE
FISH HARVESTERS PLACE THEIR
NETS, ALONG THE NORTHEAST COAST,
THE NUMBERS ARE STILL CRITICAL.
BUT AT LEAST THEY HAVE
STABILIZED SO THERE LIKELY WON'T
BE ANY FURTHER QUOTA CUTS THERE.
BUT THERE ARE SIGNIFICANT
DECLINES IN THE AREA NORTH OF
LABRADOR WHERE THE OFFSHORE
TRAWLERS FISH.
D.F.O. SAYS THAT THERE ARE SO
MANY FACTORS AT PLAY THAT IT'S
HARD TO FIGURE OUT JUST WHAT'S
GOING ON.
>> WELL, THE QUOTAS HAD BEEN LOW
AND THEY'VE BEEN REDUCED TO
ACCOUNT FOR THE CHANGES IN
BIO-MASS.
BUT WE KNOW THAT THERE'S BEEN
CHANGES IN COD, FOR EXAMPLE, AND
CHANGES IN WATER TEMPERATURES,
WHERE FISHERS FOUND THE WARMEST
BOTTOM TEMPERATURES AND COLDEST
WATER TEMPERATURES.
AND SO BECAUSE OF SO MANY
CHANGES ALL AT ONCE WE CAN'T
ATTRIBUTE IT TO ONE THING.
>> Carolyn: TO THE RCMP IT'S
CALLED A MAIN INVESTIGATIVE
TECHNIQUE BUT THE PUBLIC KNOWS
IT AS A "MR. BIG STING."
TODAY THEY GOT AN JD INSIDE LOOK
THAT ENDED WITH AL POTTER'S
ARREST.
ARIANA KELLAND IS JOINING US
LIVE.
SO, ARIANA, EVERY MR. BIG STING
HAS A STORYLINE.
WHAT SCENARIO WAS FED TO POTTER?
>> Reporter: THAT'S RIGHT.
EVERY ONE OF THESE STORYLINES
HAVE SOMETHING THAT SEDUCE A
SUSPECT.
AND IN THIS CASE IT'S NOTHING IF
NOT CREATIVE.
UNDERCOVER OFFICERS GAINED
CREDIBILITY WITH AL POTTER IN
THE MONTHS LEADING UP TO
SEPTEMBER 2016.
THEY MET MEMBERS OF THE VIKINGS
MOTORCYCLE CLUB THROUGH AN
INSIDE MAN WORKING WITH POLICE.
THEY FREQUENTED BARS DOWNTOWN TO
BECOME FAMILIAR FACES ALL TO
ESTABLISH THE STORY THAT THEY
WERE LOAN SHARKS AND MAKING LOTS
OF MONEY IN THE BUSINESS OF
COLLECTING OUTSTANDING DEBT.
AND ONCE HE WAS RELEASED FROM
JAIL IN LINDSAY, ONTARIO, THEY
HAD A JOB FOR AL POTTER.
AND THERE WAS NO TIME TO WASTE.
POTTER AND THIS UNDERCOVER
OFFICER GOT RIGHT TO WORK
PLANNING TO FIND TWO BROTHERS
WHO OWED OUTSTANDING DEBTS.
NOW TAKE A LOOK AT THIS MAP.
IT SHOWS THAT POTTER AND THE
UNDERCOVER OFFICER STARTED WITH
THE LEAD COP DRIVING A SAFE
DISTANCE BEHIND.
FROM THERE THEY WENT TO A BAR
CALLED THE BARKING CAT WHERE
POTTER AND ANOTHER MAN SAID THAT
SOMEONE HAD MURDERED ONE OF THE
BROTHERS WHO OWED MONEY.
POTTER AND THE SO-CALLED DEBT
COLLECTOR WAS MET BY ANOTHER
UNDERCOVER OFFICER IN A WHITE
VAN AND THEY DROVE TO A REMOTE
CORNFIELD TO COLLECT THE BODY.
THIS BODY UNBEKNOWNST TO AL
POTTER WAS ACTUALLY A DEAD PIG
IN A HOCKEY BAG.
NOW ONCE THEY GOT THE BAG THEY
DROVE TO A CEMETERY IN LONDON
AND THAT'S WHERE THEY MET YET
ANOTHER UNDERCOVER OFFICER AND
ACTING AS A GRAVEYARD WORKER
WHEN THEY BURIED THE PIG IN A
FRESHLY DUG GRAVE.
NOW IF IT SOUNDS TOO CRAZY TO BE
TRUE, IT'S BECAUSE IT IS TOO
CRAZY TO BE TRUE.
THE PERSON WHO CAME UP WITH THIS
WHOLE SCHEME WAS AN RCMP
SERGEANT WHO TOOK THE STAND
TODAY AT POTTER'S TRIAL.
HE SAYS THAT THE DAY AFTER THEY
BURIED THIS PIG THAT POTTER
ACTUALLY MADE A CONFESSION TO
ONE OF THE UNDERCOVER OFFICERS,
THE DETAILS OF THAT CONFESSION
HAVE NOT YET BEEN HEARD BY THE
JURY, BUT THE COP DID SAY TODAY
THAT THE CONVERSATION WAS NOT
RECORDED BECAUSE THE LISTENING
DEVICES WEREN'T WORKING AT THE
TIME.
WE'RE EXPECTED TO HEAR MORE
DETAILS ON THAT IN THE COMING
DAYS WHEN MORE UNDERCOVER
OFFICERS TAKE THE STAND.

>> Carolyn: WELCOME BACK,
EVERYONE.
SO BEFORE WE GET TO THE WEATHER
WE'RE GOING TO JUST GO OUTSIDE
FOR A FEW MINUTES.
>> Anthony: WHY NOT.
>> Carolyn: YEAH, HAVE A LOOK
AT THESE YOUNG FOLKS TODAY IN
ST. JOHN'S, THEY DID NOT HAVE
HOMEWORK ON THEIR MINDS TODAY.
THEY GOT TO HANG OUT AT THE LOOP
WHERE THE CITY PROVIDED FREE
HOCK CHOCOLATE AND STORYBOOK
CHARACTERS AND GREAT MUSIC.
>> Anthony: NOW THEY WEREN'T
THINKING ABOUT SCHOOL BECAUSE
THE ENGLISH SCHOOL DISTRICT GAVE
ALL SCHOOLS THEY OFFERED WHAT
THE BOARD CALLS ITS MID-WINTER
BREAK.
I WISH WE COULD ALL HAVE THAT.
>> Ashley: YES.
AND IT FALLS ON WHAT MANY OTHER
PROVINCES CALL FAMILY DAY WHEN
IS A PROVINCIAL HOLIDAY.
>> Carolyn: ONE THAT WE DON'T
HAVE HERE.
>> Anthony: THERE'S AN
ELECTION COMING.
YOU WANT TO GET A FEW VOTES?
GIVE US FAMILY DAY PLEASE.
>> Carolyn: WE DO GET REGATTA
DAY.
>> Anthony: I KNOW THAT YOU'RE
GETTING TO THE WEATHER AND
THERE'S A SEGUE HERE TO BE HAD.
T BUNS?
YOU'RE A FAN?
I SAY THANKS TO THE TEA BUN
LADY.
BUT HERE'S A QUESTION FOR YOU.
IF THEY DON'T HAVE RAISINS, DO
THEY COUNT?
BECAUSE THESE ARE THE BEST
RAISEN-FREE TEA BUNS THAT I HAD.
SCONE OR SCON?
SCON.
IT'S GOING TO BE COLD?
>> Ashley: YES.
TEA BUNS AND A LOT OF TEA OR HOT
CHOCOLATE, WHATEVER YOU PREFER.
WE'LL GET REALLY COLD.
SO THE TEMPERATURES ARE THE
WARMEST OF THE NEXT WEEK OR SEA
AND SITTING IN THE MINUS SINGLE
DIGITS -10° TOWARDS THE COAST
AND LABRADOR IN THE MINUS SINGLE
DIGITS.
-9° IS YOUR TEMPERATURE UP
THROUGH HAPPY VALLEY-GOOSE BAY.
AND FACTOR IN THE WIND CHILL AND
FEELING LIKE THE MINUS TEENS
RIGHT THROUGH LABRADOR AS WELL.
COLD FOR LAB CITY -29° IS WHAT
YOU'RE CURRENTLY FEELING
OUTSIDE.
SO WE DO HAVE THOSE SNOW SQUALLS
FOR THE WEST COAST.
AS WE HEAD THROUGH THE NEXT
COUPLE HOURS WE'LL LIKELY SEE
THAT TAPER OFF AS THOSE WINDS
SHIFT.
WE DO STILL HAVE SNOW SQUALL
WARNINGS IN PLACE, AND CORNER
BROOK AND GROS MORNE AND DEER
LAKE.
UP THROUGH THE NORTHERN
PENINSULA, GUSTS NEAR 110 km/h
AT TIMES THIS EVENING AND THAT
WILL TAPER OFF AS WELL OR AT
LEAST EASE BELOW WARNING
CRITERIA.
THERE'S THAT WIND SHIFT THAT
GOES FROM WESTERLIES TO
NORTHWESTERLIES TONIGHT AND
THOSE WINDS EASE TO 40 km/h
GUSTS.
AND THEN THE TEMPERATURES ARE
DROPPING TO ABOUT -12° FOR
CORNER BROOK AND -9° FOR PORT
AUX BASQUE.
AND THE CENTRAL AREAS WILL DIP
PROBABLY CLOSER TO THE MINUS
20s IN LOW-LYING AREAS.
OTHERWISE -16° IS YOUR LOW FOR
GRAND FALLS-WINDSOR.
AND -10° IN ST. JOHN'S.
AND WE'LL SEE THAT WIND SHIFT
FROM WESTERLY TO NORTHWESTERLY
TONIGHT.
UP THROUGH LABRADOR, LAB CITY
AT -29° AS YOUR LOW TONIGHT.
SO NOT MOVING TOO MUCH MORE AND
THEN HAPPY VALLEY-GOOSE BAY
IS -20°, NORTHWEST WINDS ALONG
THE COAST THOUGH ARE STILL GOING
TO BE GUSTING UPWARDS OF 70
km/h TONIGHT.
LOOKING AT THE SATELLITE/RADAR
FOR TOMORROW.
INTO THE AFTERNOON WE'LL SEE A
LITTLE BIT MORE OF A WIND SHIFT
WHICH MEANS THAT WE COULD SEE
SNOW SQUALLS DEVELOP AGAIN.
THE BURIN PENINSULA, AVALON AND
THE NORTHEAST COAST ARE ALL
LOOKING AT A RISK OF FLURRIES AS
WELL.
OTHERWISE, LABRADOR IS QUIET,
ALONG THE COAST WE COULD SEE
CLOUD COVER AND A FEW FLURRIES
THROUGH THE AFTERNOON.
SO HERE'S A LOOK AT YOUR
FORECAST.
THE NORTHWEST WINDS TOMORROW
GUSTING UPWARDS OF 50 km/h.
THERE'S THAT TEMPERATURE DROP.
ONLY A HIGH OF-8° IN ST. JOHN'S
AND -9° IN CLARENVILLE.
AND DROPPING TOWARDS THE EVENING
HOURS.
AND THEN GRAND
FALLS-WINDSOR, -9° AND HARBOUR
BRETON -8°.
AGAIN A CHANCE OF FLURRIES ON
THE NORTHEAST COAST.
AND THEN SNOW SQUALLS ALONG THE
WEST COAST WITH THOSE WINDY
CONDITIONS CONTINUING AS WELL.
-10° FOR GROS MORNE AND,
YEAH, -12° FOR ST. ANTHONY.
BUT SUNSHINE AND WINDS GUSTING
IN THE EXPOSED AREAS UPWARDS OF
70 km/h TOMORROW.
AND SUNSHINE THROUGH LABRADOR
AND STARTING TO SEE THE COOLER
TEMPERATURES MAKE THEIR WAY
IN -25° IS YOUR AFTERNOON HIGH
FOR LAB CITY.
NOW THE REASON WHY WE'RE SEEING
THIS COLDER TEMPERATURES IS
BECAUSE WE'RE GETTING INTO THE
COLDEST AIR ON TUESDAY FIGHT
INTNIGHTINTO WEDNESDAY WITH OVERNIGHT
LOWS DIPPING INTO THE -2020s
INTO NEWFOUNDLAND.
AND THEN LOOKING AT YOUR WIND
CHILLS, THIS TAKES US THROUGH TO
TUESDAY OR TOMORROW MORNING AND
INTO WEDNESDAY NIGHT.
OR TUESDAY NIGHT, RATHER.
LOOK AT THESE WIND CHILLS, IT
DIPS INTO THE -30s AND CLOSE
TO THE -40s AS WELL.
WE DO HAVE AN EXTREME COLD
WARNING AND I'LL HAVE THAT WHEN
WE LOOK AHEAD WHEN I COME BACK.

OCEAN TECHNOLOGY IS A GROWING
SECTOR IN THIS PROVINCE'S
ECONOMY AND THE HARSH SEA
CONDITIONS IN NEWFOUNDLAND AND
LABRADOR HAVE GIVEN SOME
COMPANIES HERE AN EDGE AROUND
THE WORLD.
VIRTUAL MARINE IS ONE SUCH
COMPANY.
THEY'RE SMALL, 20 EMPLOYEES.
AND IT'S POSSIBLE THAT YOU MIGHT
NEVER HAVE HEARD OF THEM.
BUT AS JANE ADEY FROM "THE
BROADCAST" FOUND OUT, WITH THE
HELP OF SIMULATION, THEY ARE
CHANGING HOW PEOPLE WORK ON THE
OCEAN ALL OVER THE PLANET.
>> Reporter: THE OPEN OCEAN
CAN PRESENT SOME OF THE MOST
DANGEROUS WORKING CONDITIONS ON
EARTH.
THAT'S A DAILY CHALLENGE FOR
NEWFOUNDLAND COMPANY VIRTUAL
MARINE.
IT DEVELOPS SOME OF THE WORLD'S
MOST ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY TO MAKE
WORKING ON THE WATER SAFE.
>> PREPARE FOR EVACUATION.
>> Reporter: IN THIS LIFEBOAT

SET OUT TO FIND PAY WAY TO
SIMULATE ACCIDENTS AND RESCUES.
>> IT'S AMAZING...
>> Reporter: TONY PATTERSON
SAYS THAT THIS KIND OF
TECHNOLOGY IS POSSIBLE BECAUSE
OF 20 YEARS WORTH OF RESEARCH AT
THE NATIONAL RESEARCH COUNCIL
FOLLOWING THE OCEAN RANGER
DISASTER.
COMPLICATED MATH MODELS ALLOW
USERS TO CONSPIRACY BEING ON THE
OCEAN WITHOUT BEING ANYWHERE
NEAR IT.
>> ACCORDING TO THE REGULATIONS
EVERYONE WHO IS CERTIFIED AS A
LIFEBOAT COXSON HAS TO PROVE
THEY CAN OPERATE IN ROUGH SEAS.
SO THIS IS A KEY PART OF THE
SYSTEM IEWMENTORSIMULATORS TO RATCHET UP T O THE
CONDITIONS.
AND YOU MIGHT HAVE TO TOW OTHER
LIFEBOATS OR A LIFE RAFT OUT OF
A FIRE, FOR INSTANCE.
>> Reporter: VIRTUAL MARINE
HAS HAD A SHARE OF HURDLES.
>> WHEN WE STARTED THIS COMPANY
THE USE OF SIMULATION IN
TRAINING WERE PROHIBITED.
YOU WEREN'T ALLOWED TO USE
SIMULATORS.
SO WE HAD TO DO A LOT OF EFFORTS
TO CONVINCE REGULATORS THAT THIS
WAS AN APPROPRIATE TRAINING.
>> Reporter: NOW THEY SEE THE
BENEFITS OF ALLOWING WORKERS TO
PRACTICE WHENEVER THEY WANT.
TELL ME WHERE THESE SIMULATORS
ARE IN THE WORLD, WHAT IS YOUR
MARKET?
>> WELL, WE HAVE A WORLDWIDE
MARKET.
WE'RE THE ONLY ONES IN THE WORLD
MANUFACTURING THESE SIMULATORS.
SO WE START OFF IN CANADA AND WE
ACTUALLY STARTED OFF HERE IN
NEWFOUNDLAND.
AND THEN THE UNITED STATES AND
MEXICO.
AND WE CROSSED THE ATLANTIC AND
WE ARE THE PRIMARY SIMULATOR
PROVIDER IN NORWAY.
WE HAVE SOME IN DENMARK AND
AUSTRALIA HAS A RECENT
INSTALLATION AND A SYSTEM NOW IN
QATAR.
AND SLOWLY BUT SURELY WE'RE
GOING AROUND THE WORLD.
>> Reporter: VIRTUAL MARINE
ALSO OFFERS FAST RESCUE CRAFT
SIMULATORS THE OPEN OCEAN.
WITH THE HELP OF VIRTUAL
REALITY, TRAINEES CAN SPEED
THROUGH THE WAVES TO A EMERGENCY
ALL WHILE SAFE ON LAND.
>> AND THE LAUNCHING AND
RECOVERING OF THE BOAT IS THE
MOST DIFFICULT PIECE.
WHEN I WAS IN THE COAST GUARD,
FOR INSTANCE, DURING SEPARATE
ACCIDENTS I GOT A CONCUSSION AND
SEVERED A FINGER AND BROKE A
FINGER LEARNING HOW TO RECOVER
BOATS IN ROUGH CONDITIONS.
THIS IS MY INCENTIVE, WAS THERE
A WAY IN A SIMULAT SIMULATION TRAINING TO
GIVE THEM THESE CONDITIONS
BEFORE BEING IN A BOAT.
>> Reporter: SO YOU'RE
CHANGING I GUESS THE
VISIONIBILITY ON THE OCEAN?
>> RIGHT.
SO WE CHANGED THE SEA STATES,
VISIBILITY AND DAYLIGHT AND
DARKNESS.
BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING
THAT WE'RE CHANGING IS
OPERATIONAL SCENARIO THAT
THEY'RE PRACTICING.
SO THERE'S DIFFERENT PROCEDURES
TO FOLLOW IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR
SOMEONE IN THE WATER IN A FOG,
FOR INSTANCE, OR GOING OUT TO
TOW A LIFEBOAT THAT FAST RESCUE
CRAFT OPERATORS GOT TO KNOW
THESE PROCEDURES AND PRACTICE
THEM.
>> Reporter: THE SIMULATION IS
SO LIFE LIKE THAT USERS
SOMETIMES GET SEA SICK.
THEIR HANDS MIGHT BE IN REALITY
BUT THEIR EYES AND EARS ARE IN A
360-DEGREE VIRTUAL WORLD.
>> FOR A FAST RESCUE CRAFT
OPERATOR THEY HAVE TO SEE
COMPLETELY AROUND THE VESSEL IN
ORDER TO DO THEIR JOB.
AND YOU COME ALONGSIDE A
LIFEBOAT AND YOU MIGHT TRANSFER
PASSENGERS BUT YOU HAVE TO KEEP
AN EYE ON WHERE THE PEOPLE IN
THE WATER ARE OR IF THERE'S
ANYTHING ELSE GOING ON.
ESPECIALLY WHEN WE DO A SEARCH
IN THE FOG, FOR INSTANCE.
THE HEAD OF THE DRIVER IS ON A
SWITCHEL AND HE ALWAYS HAS TO BE
LOOKING AROUND.
SO THAT'S WHAT THE VIRTUALITY
GIVES, THAT 360-DEGREE PAN
REALLYIC VIEW.
>> Reporter: VIRTUAL MARINE
HAS A SYSTEM TO TRAIN THOSE
AROUND ICE.
>> WE'RE NOW AT THE BOTTOM OF
CONCEPTION BAY AND THERE'S A
TANKER THAT IS AN ANCHOR FURTHER
UP IN THE BAY.
AND WE HAVE ICE DRIFTING IN.
YOU CAN SEE THERE'S WHITE ICE
AND BLUE ICE.
AND THE BLUE ICE IS MULTIYEAR
ICE AND IT'S SO STRONG THAT IF A
SHIP HITS IT IT CAN PUNCH A HOLE
IN THE SIDE OF IT.
ALMOST LIKE THE ICE THAT SUNK
THE TITANTIC, IT'S THAT
STRENGTH.
SO WHATEVER WE CAN DO, WE CAN
HIT THE WHITE ICE BUT NOT TOUCH
THE BLUE ICE.
>> Reporter: SO CRITICAL TO
LEARN HOW TO NAVIGATE AROUND
THAT?
>> IN THIS SCENARIO IT'S WANT SO

>> Anthony: ASHLEY, YOU DIALED
UP A REALLY NICE ONE ON THE
WEEKEND.
IF YOU COULD COMMIT THAT ONE TO
MEMORY?
>> Ashley: WELL, AS FAR AS THE
TEMPERATURES GO, YES, BUT, I
MEAN, BECAUSE WE'RE INTO THIS
COLD
IT'S GOING TO BE QUITE CALM FOR
THE NEXT COUPLE DAYS.
THAT'S DEFINITELY GOOD NEWS.
BUT IF WE TAKE A LOOK AT THE
FUTURE TRACKER INTO WEDNESDAY,
AND I SAY "CALM" AS FAR AS NO
SIGNIFICANT SYSTEMS ARE MOVING
THROUGH.
NOW WE'LL STAY WINDY THOUGH INTO
THE AFTERNOON ON WEDNESDAY.
AND THEN A CHANCE OF SOME
FLURRIES WILL MOVE THROUGH AND
ALONG THE NORTHEAST COAST AS YOU
JUST SAW MOVE OVER THERE AND
THEN INTO THE AVALON AS WELL AND
INTO THE AFTERNOON ON WEDNESDAY.
SO WE COULD SEE FLURRIES BUT
MOST OF THE DAY SEEMS LIKE A MIX
OF SUN/CLOUD BUT WE DO HAVE THAT
EXTREME COLD WARNING.
THIS IS FOR TUESDAY NIGHT AND
INTO WEDNESDAY, THE TEMPERATURES
ARE NOT GOING TO BE MOVING MUCH.
IF YOU CAN SEE THESE ARE YOUR
DAY I'M HIGHS.
-18° TO -- OR -16, RATHER,
TO -18° RIGHT ACROSS THE BOARD
AND SIMILAR TEMPERATURES UP
THROUGH LABRADOR AS WELL.
FACTOR IN THAT WIND CHILL AND
WE'LL SEE THOSE WIND CHILL
VALUES FEELING CLOSER TO -40°.
AND WITH THAT ANY EXPOSED SKIN
HAS THE POTENTIAL TO FREEZE
BETWEEN 10 TO 30 MINUTES.
SO IF YOU'RE HEADED OUT BUNDLE
UP.
BECAUSE IT'S -- THAT'S COLD FOR
THIS TIME OF YEAR FOR SURE OR AT
LEAST IN GENERAL FOR THE
PROVINCE.
AND WEDNESDAY OVERNIGHT AND INTO
THURSDAY WE ARE STILL GOING TO
SEE THAT POTENTIAL FOR SOME
FLURRIES IN THE MORNING AND THEN
JUST A MIX OF SUN/CLOUD RIGHT
ACROSS THE BOARD FOR YOUR
THURSDAY AND INTO FRIDAY.
AND CALM AGAIN.
WE'RE NOT GOING TO SEE TOO MUCH
PRECIPITATION.
AND MOST LIKELY FLURRIES HERE
AND THERE.
AND THAT CONTINUES RIGHT INTO
SATURDAY AFTERNOON.
WE COULD SEE ONSHORE FLURRIES
FOR THE WEST COAST AND THEN THE
NORTHEAST COAST AS WELL AND INTO
THE EVENING ON SATURDAY.
SO TAKING A LOOK AT YOUR
FIVE-DAY FORECAST, THOSE WINDS
WILL CONTINUE.
SO BREEZY TOMORROW, AND WIND
CHILL FEELING LIKE -27°.
AND AS YOUR AFTERNOON HIGHS
SHOULD BE AROUND -8°.
-17° INTO WEDNESDAY WITH THOSE
WINDS CONTINUING.
NOW KEEP THAT IN MIND THAT
GENERALLY YOU SHOULD BE SITTING
AROUND 0° FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR.
AND THEN INTO THURSDAY AGAIN
THAT POTENTIAL FOR A FEW
FLURRIES.
AND MOSTLY SUN/CLOUD.
AND CENTRAL NEWFOUNDLAND, WINDY
TOMORROW NIGHT AND CONTINUING
THROUGH THE DAY ON WEDNESDAY AND
IT LOOKS LIKE SUNSHINE INTO
SATURDAY.
BUT YOU'RE GOING TO CONTINUE TO
SEE THESE COOL TEMPERATURES
RIGHT THROUGH -- RIGHT ACROSS
THE BOARD.
AND THEN THE SAME THING FOR
WESTERN NEWFOUNDLAND.
SO SQUALLS ARE POSSIBLE
TOMORROW.
FLURRIES AND WINDY FOR WEDNESDAY
AND THEN THURSDAY WE'RE LOOKING
AT THAT POTENTIAL FOR SOME
FLURRIES AS WELL WITH A MIX OF
SUN/CLOUD.
EASTERN LABRADOR, BECAUSE WE'RE
UNDER A RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE,
WINDY TOMORROW AND CONTINUING
INTO WEDNESDAY.
BUT PLENTY OF SUNSHINE AND THE
TEMPERATURES NOT MOVING MUCH
INTO THE MINUS TEENS AND THEN
THE SAME FOR WESTERN LABRADOR.
SO OVERALL, EVEN THOUGH IF YOU
CAN GET PAST THAT COLD AND YOU
BUNDLE UP IT LOOKS LIKE AN
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL WEEK.
SO THAT'S A LOOK AT YOUR
FORECAST AND I'LL HAVE YOUR
WEATHER PHOTO BECAUSE IT'S A
GOOD ONE, WHEN I COME BACK.
>> Carolyn: THANKS, ASHLEY.

Lionel Messi vs Cristiano Ronaldo: Paulo Dybala answers THREE questions on who he'd prefer - Duration: 1:42.
The debate between who is better between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo seems to have raged on since the beginning of time with both talents exceptionally proceeding anyone else in football.
In terms personal accolades, they could not be closer with five Ballon d'Or trophies each.
And the debate has been put to players across the world, with Juventus ace Dybala the latest to be asked.
The former Palermo forward is a team-mate at both after Ronaldo joined Juve in the summer.
And Dybala also shares a dressing room with Messi for his country, Argentina.
So the 25-year-old is well-placed to tell fans who the true king of football is.
But the striker has played it coy when pressed on three questions to separate the footballing gods.
He was asked who he would rather play with at FIFA, the popular football video game, but did not pick between them.
He told the BBC's Match of the Day magazine: "I have never played FIFA with them, so I don't know if they are good gamers.
"On the real pitch, I would like to have both of them with me – we'd make a great attack!"
And asked who he would have take a last-minute penalty, Dybala was equally reticent.
"What a question! How about I score it and then both of them will be happy?!" he said jokingly.
Dybala, determined to sit on the fence, would not even pick who he would rather have cook for him, saying: "Footballers have to be careful about food.
"I don't think either of them, like me, are great cooks!"

FOX TV - Revealed: How short-sellers wiped £2.7BILLION off shares - Duration: 11:34.
Secretive short-sellers are gearing up for a bumper 2019 after wiping £2.7billion off the value of British companies last year
Data compiled for The Mail on Sunday reveals five mysterious short-selling firms have caused carnage with critical reports on firms they targeted
And according to one exponent of the controversial tactic, this year is going to be even bigger
Fraser Perring, a former social worker who exposed accounting irregularities at Poundland owner Steinhoff, said: 'Money is cheap so it's easy to ignore fraud and aggressive accounting
Predator: Carson Block runs short-seller Muddy Waters'When money becomes more expensive – as it is getting – all of a sudden you have to weigh a few more risks
And I think if short-sellers don't have a heyday in 2019, I don't know when they will
'He pointed to last week's dive in the share price of Apple after it reported a slowdown in iPhone sales
Only two analysts on Wall Street were advising clients to sell ahead of the near-10 per cent fall
'It's about time people speak up,' Perring said. 'How can you have 20 analysts with a buy note and a share price collapsing? If I walked into your office with all my limbs missing, you'd either call an ambulance or wonder if it's too late
But you wouldn't recommend that I'd go in for the marathon. And that's what they're doing

They normally keep a low profile but an increasing number are speaking out about companies they believe are overvalued or, in some cases, guilty of aggressive accounting or even fraud
Viceroy Research, Perring's little-known firm, last year attacked online gambling outfit Jackpotjoy and packaging giant RPC, causing their shares to dive 30 per cent and 13 per cent respectively
Its attacks wiped nearly £600million off the combined stock market values of Jackpotjoy and RPC
Most short-listed companies include defence giant Babcock and packaging firm RPCOther firms to have suffered similar fates last year include Babcock, the defence giant whose largest customer is the Ministry of Defence
An anonymous outfit called Boatman Capital Research issued a report in October claiming that Babcock had 'systematically misled investors by burying bad news about its performance'
Boatman also attacked chairman Mike Turner and chief executive Archie Bethel, saying they are 'not up to the job' – and claimed Babcock's relationship with the MoD had broken down
Babcock dismissed the allegations as 'false and malicious' but its value has since fallen by around £800million
Now it has hired corporate investigators at Kroll to discover who is behind Boatman
There is a reason these figures often remain in the shadows. Two years ago, after Perring had dropped his daughter at school, two men with Eastern European accents trapped him in his car, threatened his family and demanded to know if he was behind anonymous reports into payments firm Wirecard
Perring lied and said he was not. Last year, it emerged he was behind Viceroy, which published a report in December 2017 on Steinhoff, the South African retailer which in the UK owns Poundland, Bensons for Beds, and Harveys
Despite never having trained as an accountant, Perring raised questions about Steinhoff's accounts
Two days later, the company shocked the retail industry by confirming 'accounting irregularities'
Perring began short-selling full-time in 2012 after he was struck off as a child protection officer for Lincolnshire County Council
He now owns a house in London, one in New York and another in Oregon. He likes to race supercars and recently returned from California where he was testing his £200,000 Mercedes-AMG
Another victim of short-sellers is IQE, a Cardiff-based semiconductor firm. It has lost £372million of its value since it was targeted by two research firms last February – Muddy Waters and ShadowFall Capital, which have accused the Welsh firm of manipulating its accounts
IQE strongly denied the claims and pointed out that its critics profit from the ensuing share price fall through short-selling
Target: Babcock repairs the Royal Navy's submarines and warshipsMuddy Waters is run by Carson Block, an American who made his name shorting Chinese firms at the start of the decade, many of which he alleged were committing fraud
He claims investors have a duty to go after companies guilty of 'immoral' behaviour
He told a New York conference last month: 'I think activists can occasionally take short-selling to what I say is another level and that we can short a stock for reasons that have to do purely with the immorality of the company
That hasn't been expressly done before, and I think it can be done and it should be done
'Former analyst Matthew Earl, known in the City as the 'Dark Destroyer', runs ShadowFall which has also set its sights on First Derivatives, a software consultancy based in Ireland but listed on London's AIM market
In a note in October, ShadowFall claimed historical profits 'have been significantly bolstered' through one-off factors or by clever accounting
The note hit First Derivatives' share price and has wiped £500million off its value
RPC, which makes plastic packaging for household names, was also targeted by short sellersThe Mail on Sunday analysis – by Breakout Point – also includes Kier Group because hedge fund Kuvari Partners set out its case against the troubled construction firm in November, just 24 hours before the share price crashed by a third
Mayfair-based Kuvari does not produce reports on companies like the others do, but its investment chief Vikram Kumar warned a London short-selling conference of Kier's 'narrowing margins in an already low margin sector' and questioned the true health of its balance sheet
A day later, Kier shocked the market with an emergency rights issue to raise £250million which hit the share price and has since cut £500million off its market value
Short-sellers have been accused of manipulating the market by cashing in from their damning reports
However, Perring points the finger at analysts who, he says, publish positive reports far more often than negative ones
He says they are often paid to write research or are hoping to win new clients from it
Steinhoff is still waiting on the results of an investigation into its accounting scandal after questions were asked by Perring
A year on, Perring – who is being investigated for market manipulation in Germany for his reports on Wirecard – questions why the analysts who urged clients to buy Steinhoff shares are not being held to account: 'Where are the prosecutions for all the analysts for Steinhoff?' he said

Why did Jesus Talk in Parables & What do they Mean? - Duration: 8:04.
did Jesus use parables to teach have you ever wondered that I wondered what they
mean well that is what we're going to talk about today I'm crazy simple align
your mind with God's truth with God's Word
hello you beautiful soul I am Nicki Drake founder of a crazy simple truth if
we have not met yet welcome to my You Tube channel I am going to take some
information right out of this thrift store book I actually believe that there
is a current version of this it's by Mark Littleton the book of the Bible all
your questions answered I got it for 50 Cent's but I think I've looked on Amazon
by the way I got a call Amazon out on something here I love Amazon and we shop
there whenever we need something but I twice have applied for their associate
program and both times I have failed and so all the links that I had under my
videos and in my website I had to like take those off because people would
think that they are helping me support my ministry by purchasing Amazon through
my link and they aren't anymore and so I've been debating on reapplying
apparently I don't really know what I did wrong the first time I didn't have a
certain amount of sales within a certain amount of time the second time I I think
the mistake that I made is I said help support my ministry by purchasing
through any of the links below whatever I guess I worded that wrong and I'm not
supposed to say that your help and support me so I don't have Amazon links
right now and I am gonna reapply eventually I'm kind of mad at some wait
until I'm not mad at them anymore it took me almost five hours to take all
the links of all of my videos oh my okay so anyway I think you can get this book
there why did Jesus tell parables Jesus told some 30 different parables several
found in different forms of each gospel the favorites among them are the Good
Samaritan Luke 10 25 through 37 the prodigal son Luke
15:11 through 32 the sower Matthew 13 3 through 8 and the pearl of great price
Matthew 13 45 and 46 Jesus told parable parables because they were a simple way
to explain complex truths okay hmm so I think they're supposed to be a
simple way but for some reason for me I have a lot of troublesome to Tulsa
sometimes understanding them so if you do let me
know in the comments do you have Charles sometimes understanding his parables it
says they were interesting entertaining and to some degree crowd pleasing this
isn't that funny to think of all the crowds that followed Jesus around and
wanted him to heal them and all of those things and they probably like thought
that was a really great story Jesus you know that was really cool the guy like
left his dad and took all of his inheritance and then he came back and
the father came running to him and set it in I mean can you see the crowd going
oh yeah Jesus that was great ha ha ha I don't know maybe not
ok parables were a traditional method used by rabbis to illustrate truths and
abstract concepts when Jesus's disciples asked him why he taught in parables
Jesus answered in Matthew 13 11 through 13 because it is given unto you to know
the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven but to them it is not given for who
whose ever hath to him shall be given this must be King James Version or New
King James Version which always makes me feel like like fingernails on a
chalkboard it's like incredibly uncomfortable when
I read it anyway for Hoost ever hath to him shall be given and he
shall have more abundance but who's ever hath not from him shall be taken away
even that he hath therefore speak I to them in parables because they seeing see
not and hearing they hear not neither do they understand wasn't that entertaining
okay no not really what did Jesus mean by this he meant
that those who believed in him would receive more truth as they grew in faith
those who rejected him would think they understood what he was saying but they
wouldn't truly understand so does that mean I'm rejecting him no but let's go
on to the next category because it says how can we interpret the parables Jesus
explained one parable to his disciples the parable of the sower and I have done
a couple different videos with that story in my video because I love that
and it says we can use the same principles to interpret all the others
all the parables are about Christ's Kingdom I've never read this you guys
this I'm just reading it out of here for you because I happen to notice it was
about parables and I remembered that I promised you I do have a video on
parables so that's why it says the different characters and events
represent elements of his kingdom or elements of the world within the kingdom
parents they are in this sense many allegories with different people places
and things representing various real-life people places and things the
parable of the lost sheep symbolizes how God feels about one lost person and how
he searches throughout the world for that person some parables are more
difficult than others see yeah the lost sheep I understand the
sower I understand some of them are really really confusing so some parables
are more difficult but they're not necessarily meant to be easily
understand ooh that's good nose good nose good nose to me that's good news to
me people of faith must use their ability to think research ponder and
reason but most of all we must use faith to see the spiritual realities in
parables you know what and that's all it says hmm I hope that was helpful it kind
of explained to me that we're not really meant to understand them like some of
them so I guess I don't have to feel bad when I don't understand some of them
most of them I can understand there are they're parables that you have trouble
understanding I'd love to know if you're going through this easy Bible study with
me through the book of mark I know there's been a day or two
that I've said I honestly don't know how to interpret that parable without
looking it up and in this study is a beginner study so I'm trying to show you
how to pull something out of the Word of God without having those resources so
you can easily Google what does this parable mean and I'm sure you'll find
all kinds of information just make sure you back it up with scripture so you
know that it's the truth just like everything else I say always check the
scripture for your self so parables are a little bit confusing but sometimes a
little bit helpful and they all point back to God's kingdom I hope this was
helpful I hope you have a great day I mean seriously you know life is so
good and it's so short and it's so hard sometimes but I meant to say life is so
hard but God is so good and life is really really hard sometimes and we all
struggle in one way or another but God loves you so much and if you want some
crazy simple tips to read and understand and live by his truth the Bible then you
should consider subscribing to my channel because that's what I try to
teach you so you can live a life of freedom and have joy peace and a freedom
whenever you are going through whatever you are going through so subscribe and I
will see you in the next video bye

Why Liverpool have advantage over Bayern Munich for second leg - Rio Ferdinand - Duration: 2:29.
That is the opinion of BT Sport pundit and former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand
Liverpool and Bayern Munich played out a 0-0 draw in the first leg at Anfield on Tuesday
After a hectic first half, both teams failed to create many chances of note after the break
Ferdinand gave credit to Bayern manager Niko Kovac for his tactics on Merseyside
But he reckons Liverpool will be the happier of the two teams after the visitors failed to get an away goal
"It was a tactical masterclass I thought from the Bayern team," Ferdinand said. "The way they changed the way they played, he identified the strengths of this Liverpool team, which was attacking, which was pace
"A team that exploits space if you allow it to them - they never gave them that. "The full-backs dropped deep, back into the back four, they stayed there
"Two of possibly the most attacking full-backs in European football in [Joshua] Kimmich and [David] Alaba
"They barely went forward today and they really condensed that space and didn't allow the front three really to get going to really counter attack and run into spaces
"That was a great feature of the game and this was a real tactical chess match I thought between the two teams
"But, to be honest with you, at the end of this game if I'm a Liverpool fan, I'm a Liverpool player or the manager, I'd probably be the happier of the two in terms of I feel I can go there and score
"I feel I can go there and score and then it's going to be a big ask I feel for this Bayern team
"

Rio Ferdinand: Bayern Munich pulled off a 'tactical masterclass' - Duration: 3:52.
It was a dry Champions League night all round as Bayern Munich and Liverpool played out a 0-0 draw at Anfield while Lyon held Barcelona in the other round of 16 match
Both Liverpool and Bayern Munich have been scoring for fun this season, with attacking threats such as Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah, Robert Lewandowski, and James Rodriguez on the pitch
It could be said both teams had makeshift defences too, but neither team managed to score
Pundit Rio Ferdinand believes Bayern pulled off a 'tactical masterclass' to keep Liverpool out
Speaking on BT Sport at half time, Ferdinand spoke highly of Bayern's switch up from their normal tactics
'They've defended well, the professionalism, the experience they've used in keeping the full backs back, this manager has played a masterclass,' he said
David Alaba and Joshua Kimmich play in defence for Bayern but are often a key part of their attacking force
Kimmich already has 10 assists in the Bundesliga this season. However, Bayern Munich rarely posed a threat on the front foot against Liverpool
'In games we've seen previously these full backs have played high up the pitch. They know where they are, they're at Anfield, and space and speed will kill them here
' After a 0-0 draw, Bayern will now have to score at home. Kimmich is now suspended for the return leg after picking up another yellow card, and Bayern will likely miss his attacking talents
At full time, Ferdinand further solidified his point. 'It was a tactical masterclass from the Bayern team,' he said
'They identified the strengths of the Liverpool team, pace, exploiting space, they never gave them that
'Two of the possibly most attacking full backs in European football, they barely went forward today
It was a great feature of the game. It was a tactical chess match between the two teams
'Despite the tactical display from Niko Kovac and his Bayern Munich team, Ferdinand still believes Liverpool have enough to progress through to the next round of the Champions League
Predicting a 3-1 win for Liverpool before the match, he was surprised the match ended 0-0, but still backs them for the second leg in Munich
'If I'm a Liverpool fan I'd be the happier of the two,' said Ferdinand. 'I feel i can go there and score
I'm confident Liverpool will go through, because of the attacking prowess they've got, the devastation they wreak
'Bayern are going to have to come out a little bit more at the Allianz. They do that, that's when this Liverpool team will come alive and be able to pick them
'

News24 - Man Utd news: Pundit reveals what Jose Mourinho was thinking during Chelsea FA Cup win - Duration: 2:53.
The Portuguese boss was sacked by Manchester United in December following a dreadful start to the season in which he lost the backing of board and supporters
Since his departure he's had to sit back and watch Ole Gunnar Solskjaer rejuvenate his old players, which can't be easy
They've lost just once since he took over, in last week's Champions League last 16 first leg against Paris Saint-Germain
Chelsea, who Mourinho has previously managed twice were beaten 2-0 by United in the FA Cup to heap further misery on Maurizio Sarri
Pundit Lee Dixon has revealed how Mourinho would be feeling if he was watching the game
"I think it will be hurting him, it's his team and he failed to motivate them," he told the Football Daily Podcast
"There was obviously a down in tools scenario going on. "Now they look different players, that spirit that Ole [Gunnar Solskjaer] has come and brought in, that will carry them through towards the end of the season
"You expect them to get fourth now, you'd expect them to go and get to the FA Cup final
"Can they overturn the PSG result? Everything is going well for them, the fans are fully behind everything he's doing
" The Norwegian is adored by his former supporters after successfully implementing a fearless style of attacking football, a complete contrast to life under Mourinho
John O'Shea believes that's why his former team mate is getting the best from the squad
"They want to attack, they want to play positive football and go to their strengths," he said
"That's been so apparent in the last few months, that's what's got them the great run of results
"They have come unstuck against PSG but plenty of teams have come unstuck against PSG
"They've got that quality, [Kylian] Mbappe is the star man. "The next few months United are now going into it with renewed energy and it's great to see again
"
