What does the Golden Pass LNG Project mean for the LNG industry? - Duration: 3:08.

- Hi everyone, my name is Alex Mowbray.

I've had a number of people in the energy industry

reach out to me to specifically to ask my thoughts

on the Golden Pass LNG project.

So I just wanted to do a quick video to share with everyone

a little bit about that project,

how it's going to impact the LNG industry as a whole,

and some information you probably won't know

just on the internet as well.

So, the project, major news,

has achieved final investment decision.

The Qatar Petroleum, Exxon Mobil,

are the two major shareholders

along with the Secretary of Energy Rick Perry

announced it not long ago

that the project has achieved a final investment decision

and it's ready to cut ground.

They predict around the early part of 2019.

What that means the next year

is that their team is going to be in Japan

likely in Chiyoda's offices to conduct the engineering works

and from their then they will begin construction,

getting that project through to commercial operations

through until 2024.

2024 is a pretty interesting time

for the energy industry as a whole, which I'll touch on.

But the project really is in short a train APCI Build

It's quite similar to a lot of projects

that have been going on concurrently,

notably Cove Point LNG and Freeport LNG projects.

There is going to be a timeframe of a gap

after this project's finished

through to this project,

but there are a number in the works at the moment.

You have recently noticed that there have been MOUs signed

for Mozambique's Anadarko project and Tellurian's project

which is due to come online relatively close

to the Golden Pass project,

and then the Golden Pass project itself.

What this means is then it puts Qatar Petroleum

in a really, really strong position globally

for their LNG portfolio.

They have about 50 million tons to renegotiate

over the next year or two

for their existing assets and along with this LNG,

that this project's going to supply,

it's really going to put them

in a pretty strong position globally.

It does force a few companies hands.

There is going to be a really big push

to get short-term, long-term sales,

LNG Export agreement, sorry, in the industry.

And you're going to see a number of developers

really push beyond the second wave,

especially with the amount of work

that's coming through.

It's going to be a really, really big push.

What people don't realize is it actually puts

Chiyoda & McDermott in a really, really strong position

especially with the portfolio of work McDermott have got

and especially in that region when you look at

they're recently doing Total's ethane cracker.

McDermott with that portfolio in the LNG industry

are going to be in a really, really strong position.

So anyone that's done APCI projects in the LNG industry,

certainly interested in talking to you.

We do have a lot of work globally that we're working on

as well as a number of US-based projects.

So the first thing to do is to put the 4 spools in their places and pull the thread up through the thread tree ( from back to front)

second thing we do is we pass the thread through the tension disc ( with holding this button to the right)

we keep repeating the same thing

Here guys I want you to be careful while threading. I do not recommend keeping the pedal near you, nor do I suggest connecting it to the machine. so that you can avoid the risks

we open the front cover by sliding it to the right. and we find a drawing or a guideline, which will help us thread the lowerlooper and the upper looper

(This is the order: Upperlooper, lowerlooper, right needle and left needle) xD )

so we start with this thread, we will follow the guideline by following the numbers 5-6-7-8. ( the green line )

so we pass the thread through the hook number 5 then the next hook will be number 6 and not 7 ( pay attention because this mistake may cause the thread breaking problems or the machine may make a very bad noise )

next thing will be the hook number 7 and last step is to pass the thread through this eye (step number 8 )

as you can see here we have a Stubborn thread xD

Second Step is threading the lowerlooper

we will follow the guideline (blue line) and the hooks 5-6-7-8.

and now we will go to the trickiest step ever xD

if you can't see the lowerlooper, all you have to do is simply turn the hand wheel.

we have two (unknown things) XD these are called ( the lowerlooper, and the lowerlooper threading lever.

we have to pass the thread through the eye of the lowerlooper

we slide the lowerlooper threading lever to the right. And, we place the thread under the hook.

Caution: the thread has to be placed under the upperlooper, otherwise the thread will break.

we need to put all the threads under the presser foot.

Next we want to thread the needles.

Of course, like quite everybody, I need electricity

to run my smartphone, my camera, my laptop

to edit the videos you're watching

and, of course, in my case, I need electricity to power my wheelchair!

And this is a good way to get some movement freedom.

Speaking of freedom of movement, you noticed in the other videos that I can drive a car.

We have arrived at the theme of gasoline!

It is certain that to move my car forward, I need gas, a lot of gas!

Well, the fuel consumption of my vehicle is a subject of which I am not particularly proud...

but, here, there are extenuating circumstances:

I bought this vehicle 20 years ago; it waited 15 years in the transformer's garage...

Anyway... it's a long story that I'll tell you in another video,

but, still, this vehicle consumes far too much fuel

in relation to what my ecological conscience would like today.

But you will easily understand that this vehicle represents a major element

in my quest for independence and freedom.

I promise, I'll give you a lot more details about this vehicle

in one, or even several other videos,

because, really, it's a pretty amazing story!

The second reason why I need so much energy, is just to move my body!

As I have very little muscle strength, almost everything I do with my body requires a lot of energy.

I can't move a finger without spending a lot of energy...

... so that at the end of the day, yes, I'm happy to go to bed!

A 3rd element for which I may need a little more energy than the average person,

is to get credit.

I am not talking about bank credit, of course, but rather about the fact that, sometimes, in the eyes of some people,

what I say, or what I am, would not be as valuable

than what someone else says or is.

I will end with a 4th element, a little more positive,

in which we see that energy has another role to play in my life.

In fact, it happens quite often that people tell me that I transmit energy to them!

I am obviously pleased with that! But I don't do it on purpose, it's my way of being, my way of life...

Although new rules mean more financial advisers are now recommending investment trusts to clients – in preference to rival collective funds such as unit trusts and open-ended investment companies – they remain shrouded in mystery

Here are six facts that may convince you to include them in your portfolio. Investment trusts are companies whose shares are listed on the stock market

It means they can be bought and sold as easily as shares in any listed companyThey are listed on the stock market Investment trusts are companies whose shares are listed on the stock market

It means they can be bought and sold as easily as shares in any listed company – and their price is monitored online

Like all quoted businesses, they have an independent board whose job is to ensure the trust is well managed and that nothing is amiss

They are there to bat for shareholders – and increasingly they do so.An investment trust makes profit for shareholders from the investments it holds

These are mostly equities, but can be property, bonds or other investments such as private equity

If a trust's portfolio performs well, its shares do too. But plunging equity markets are bad news for investment trusts

Trusts come in all shapes and sizes, each with a slightly different investment bent

Some have an income focus, others are designed to deliver capital return. A few concentrate on preserving the real value of investors' holdings

Do not be put off by weird names – Mid Wynd, Monks, Merchants, Lowland, Alliance (see opposite) et al

They are a product of history. Many are managed by some of the world's strongest investment brands, including Artemis (Mid Wynd), Baillie Gifford (Monks), Allianz (Merchants), Janus Henderson (Lowland), Fidelity, JPMorgan and Schroders

Charges are lower than on other fundsAlthough charges on all funds are slowly coming down, investment trusts tend to levy lower fees than unit trusts and open-ended investment companies

This is because trust boards demand more value for money from the managers they employ to look after the fund's assets

In recent years, a swathe of trusts have cut charges. In most cases, they have introduced tiered charges with the fee reducing on assets above a certain level

For example, Invesco Income Growth used to charge an annual fee of 0.65 per cent on the first £150 million of assets, 0

55 per cent on anything above. From the start of this month, it cut the respective fees to 0

6 and 0.5 per cent. According to the Association of Investment Companies, 37 trusts have cut charges this year, including stalwarts such as Fidelity Special Values, Monks, Templeton Emerging Markets and Schroder Income Growth

Last year 22 cut charges.Trusts pay an income through dividendsSome investment trusts appeal to income-seekers because they are able to grow dividends

There are 20 that have increased annual dividends for 20 years running. And those that have done this for more than half a century include City of London (52 years) and Bankers (51 years) – both managed by Janus Henderson – Alliance (51 years) and Caledonia (51 years)

Investment trusts tend to levy lower fees than unit trusts and open-ended investment companiesTrusts are better equipped to increase dividends than unit trusts or open-ended investment companies because they are allowed to hold back some income they receive from holdings

By tucking it into reserves, they can draw on it later if dividends across listed companies are under pressure

Most income-focused trusts aim to increase dividends by at least the rate of inflation and pay income on a regular basis – usually quarterly

But yields can be unappealing. Bankers offers a measly 2.2 per cent while City of London provides a more attractive 4

5 per cent.They can be more flexible than rivalsOther distinguishing features of investment trusts, apart from independent boards, is that unlike rival funds they can borrow money to increase exposure to markets

This can work in favour of shareholders if subsequent equity gains surpass the cost of borrowing

But it can also put a dampener on overall performance if markets fall or the returns on the money borrowed do not match the cost of the debt

Trusts are also more liquid. You can nearly always buy or sell shares in an investment trust but this is not necessarily true of unit trusts or open-ended investment companies

This was revealed after the Brexit vote in June 2016 when many property unit trusts were forced to suspend dealing as they did not have enough ready cash to pay investors wanting out

Property investment trusts kept open for business, allowing sellers to get out even if the share price was not attractive

Another quirk is the so-called 'discount'. Often a trust's share price does not fully reflect the value of underlying assets

This happens if a trust is out of favour, with more investors wanting out than in

When stock markets fall, as in recent weeks, discounts widen.For shrewd investors, this offers a buying opportunity, as they effectively underpay for their shares

But this strategy only works if the discount then narrows. Many trust boards now work hard to eliminate discounts, buying back shares from investors to restrict their supply

37 trusts have cut charges this year, including stalwarts such as Fidelity Special ValuesTrusts outperform other fundsThe average investment trust has outperformed its unit trust counterpart over one, three, five, ten and 15 years

For example, over five years, the average investment trust has delivered a return of 74 per cent, against 46 per cent for unit trusts, according to financial research firm Morningstar

Yet such a comparison is rather crude.What investors should be doing when looking to buy a particular fund from an investment house is to see whether it offers both an investment trust and fund – and then choose the best based on a mix of past performance and charges

For example, Scottish investment house Baillie Gifford runs investment fund Baillie Gifford Japanese and investment trust Baillie Gifford Japan

Both are managed by Matthew Brett and Praveen Kumar and the two portfolios are similar

On charges, the fund is slightly cheaper – an annual ongoing charge of 0.63 per cent compared with 0

73 per cent for the trust. But in terms of performance, the trust wins hands down

Over the past five years, shareholders saw a return of 113 per cent, while fund holders received 85 per cent

The difference is largely a result of the trust's astute use of cheap borrowing to buy equities in a rising market

Other trusts that have outperformed their fund counterparts over the past five years include Fidelity Euro Values, Henderson European Focus, Henderson Smaller Companies, Invesco Asia, JPM Indian, JPM US Smaller Companies, JPM Euro Smaller Companies, Schroder Japan Growth and Schroder UK Mid Cap

You can bank on their historyFinally, many investment trusts have existed for more than a century

Not just Foreign & Colonial (founded 1868), but globally invested Alliance (1888), Bankers (1888), Scottish Mortgage (1909) and Witan (1909)

Yes, they may be old-fashioned and lack sex appeal. But if you want to build long-term wealth, I cannot think of better foundations

This is something that E-commerce can never replace, and that's your advantage.

For example, if you want to create an experiential marketing for your brick and mortar store,

you can create an event where you gather your community around.

Do something that is creative, do something that is novel.

At the end of the day, make them feel that you're authentic.

Make them feel connected to you.

And that's your way of doing experiential marketing that will put you aside.

And that would create an edge for you over any E-commerce business, and that's gonna

make you thrive, as you consistently create these memories and these experiences for your

customers.

The second marketing secret is often overlooked, and it is to create a brand.

So many business owners are struggling and desperate for the sale, therefore they're

competing on price, they're competing on lowering prices for about 10%, by 20%, whatever the

case may be.

But, if your product is not the cheapest on the market and if you cannot compete on that

level, being the second cheapest will only run your company into bankruptcy.

The reason for that is because nowadays, people can easily go on Amazon and check for the

prices, and the majority of the time, because people that are selling on Amazon do not have

to pay for the overhead, they do not have to pay for the rent, their prices are always

cheaper.

And in that case, your business will go out of business and go into bankruptcy.

If you're competing on price and if you do not create a brand right now.

So the way to compete in today's age is to create a brand, a brand that people can connect

to, a brand that is aligned to your values, and aligned to why you're doing what you're

doing.

And afterwards, you need to connect with them.

You need to connect with them on a personal level, provide value for them, and that's

how you build a loyal base of customers that will forever buy from you because they're

buying from you because they're rooting for you and your brand.

Way too many businesses, they've run promotions and advertisements without connecting with

their customers, without aligning the values with them.

They're just running promotions with like buy one, get one free and stuff like that,

just to draw in the customer.

But, a lot of times, it is a one-time customer.

You're not creating that stickiness.

You're not creating that relationship with your customers.

So for you to be able to have a loyal base of customers that you're always growing, you

need to make sure that you align with their values first.

This creates a reason for them to buy into what you're saying.

That creates a moat around your brand that people can't just come and take over why you're

doing what you're doing.

You can be selling the same product, but if you have a bigger mission behind that, then

you are gonna be able to win your customers.

You need to connect with your customers, and that's when you're gonna be running promotions

and advertisements to be able to reward your loyal fans for their support.

And in return, it becomes a win-win situation.

Your loyal fans feel that they're receiving something in return because you're supporting

your cause.

And in return, you're profiting.

You don't need to slash on prices because you already created this loyal base of customer

because you've created a brand.

So this is a very strong win-win strategy that a lot of businesses are using.

Now collaborating with businesses that supplement your business is super ideal.

And what I mean by that is if you're running a pet grooming salon, for example, then you

would be much more incentivized to partner with a pet store that is selling pet supplies.

You can host an event where you'd be teaching pet care 101 at the pet store, and you'd be

teaching the pet store's customer how do they care for their dogs, how do they groom them,

how do they brush them.

And in turn, they're gonna be exposed, their customers are exposed to you and your shop.

You can start promoting your shop that is around the block, and majority of the time,

that conversion is very, very kind.

And in return, you would be promoting the pet store's supplies within your grooming

store that you're telling, you're funneling people to that, "Hey, you know what?

There's that pet store around the block.

Use them, I'm actually doing a promotion there."

It becomes a win-win situation, and it is super, super, super effective.

Now I know it might be confusing at first to be able to draw and understand, hey, well

what are some of the angles and who are some of the partners that I need to partner with?

An exercise that I personally use is on one side of a piece of paper, I write down all

the businesses around the block within the five kilometer radius of my shop.

And, on the right hand side, I have another column, and I start writing down the common

threads that these businesses have with my business.

And after doing that, then it becomes a very clear page of who are the businesses that

you should be collaborating with.

You can explore so many different angles of how you can collaborate and pitch these different

business owners.

And a lot of times, if the idea is creative enough and it makes sense, a lot of times

they will work with you.

'Man in the High Castle' to End After Its Fourth Season | THR News - Duration: 2:03.

The fourth season of Amazon's 'The Man in the High Castle' will be its last.

The streamer announced Tuesday the alternate history series - which is based on

Philip K. Dick's 1962 novel of the same name - will wrap production in Vancouver

next month and will premiere its swansong in the fall.

In a statement announcing the news executive producer Isa Dick Hackett said,

The news arrives only a few weeks after Hackett inked a first-look deal to bring more

of Dick's works to the small screen. 'Castle' was a hit out of the gate - launching on

the streamer in 2015 and becoming the most most-viewed original on the service

(although the company, like other streamers, does not release any viewership data.)

The cancellation arrives as new Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke - who replaced

Roy Priced after he stepped down amidst sexual harassment allegations -

has been cleaning house, decidign to cancel Hackett's Sony TV-produced anthology

'Philip K. Dick's Electric Dreams' after just one season. Said Salke on Tuesday,

And 'Castle' isn't the only series departing Amazon - the service will also bid farewell

It remains to be seen if 'Lore' and 'Patriot' will remain at the streamer as Amazon

Considering this photo came just two days after 21 was released from after spending more than a week in an, having spent more than a week locked up, no wonder he looks exhausted

   "He is trying to clean up his past as much as he can and rapper Jay-Z has been trying to help him," Liberty County Sheriff Steve Sikes told the Coastal Courier

"The warrant is from some years ago and he went through the process and addressed the issue

" Lt. Chris Reed also added that while 21 Savage was being held in a detention center, "his attorneys contacted the sheriff's office and made arrangements for him to surrender himself after he was released from ICE

"  21 has been accused of "theft by deception" by concert promoter Karen Smith, according to Hot New Hip-Hop

She claims 21 bailed on a 2106 concert and made off with $17k. She also claimed that 21 demanded to be able to carry a gun onstage – which she ultimately agreed too – but that he bailed because he was annoyed that the opening act ran long

Karen claimed 21 tried to get the venue's DJ to cut the local rapper's set shorter, but the DJ didn't give in to these alleged demands

21 then allegedly left without performing, and he's now in this mess today.    This "mess" includes possible deportation

For ten days, he was kept in an ICE detention center. "It really wasn't jail," he said when speaking with The New York Times for the first time since his release

All that just going through your head, like, 'Damn, I love my house, I ain't gonna be able to go in my house no more? I ain't gonna be able to go to my favorite restaurant that I been going to for 20 years straight?' "  "That's the most important thing," he added
