Do you ever wonder where your money comes from?

How is money created?

Some super smart and highly educated experts

decide when and how to create it, for sure!

Well, maybe they are very smart,

but obviously not smart enough

to prevent crises from happening.

Ah, just for fun,

the president of the Fed,

she must be one of the top experts, right?

Well, in 2010, she confessed that,

when the 2008 crisis happened, let me quote her:

"I did not see and did not appreciate

what the risks were with securitization,

the credit ratings agencies,

the shadow banking system,

the S.I.V.'s,

I didn't see any of that coming

until it happened."

What?

Maybe you didn't understand exactly what she's talking about,

but one thing is for sure,

she didn't know what was going on,

and even less what was going to happen!

Is that all the "experts" can do, be clueless?

They look like architects

building a house of cards,

and then when it crashes,

just realize that it was a house of cards.

Did you ever ask yourself:

"but how come these banks,

which are already taking so much of our money,

can fail anyway?

And then why do we have to bail them out

with our money again?"

Why are there crises in cycles?

What is the current state of our financial system,

right now?

Do you know what Bitcoin is?

Or even the "blockchain"?

If you don't, at least you should know that China,

Russia, Sweden, and other countries

are creating their own national cryptocurrencies,

based on blockchains,

right now, to replace cash!

Why is that?

And if you don't believe me, just check it out yourself!

In fact, at Goldman Sachs,

this huge bank,

they think that the Blockchain is amazing,

and it is the technology of the future!

If these banks and governments

are interested in it,

you'd better learn at least

the basics about these technologies.

According to the TomTom Traffic Index

Portland has become one of the top ten cities in the nation with the most traffic congestion

With out ever growing population,

issues abound with inadequate public transportation and commuting options for drivers

Our current infrastructure does not support the hundred of thousands of cars on the roads

and there are many necessary repairs needed to restore bridges and highways

The current City Council proposal does not reduce carbon emissions

focuses on unrealistic highway expansion and minimal street repairs for a half billion dollars

In other growing cities such as LA (fingerspelling Los Angeles), Seattle (fingerspelling Seattle), etc.

it has been statistically and historically proven to increase one-person driver vehicles and has been unsuccessful in eliminating or decreasing traffic congestion

How can we create a city that is more green

provides excellent public transportation

and also has a budget for maintaining sustainable city infrastructure?

Well, I believe the answer lies in redesigning how we get around our city

With the proposed highway project of a half billion dollars solely designed for a few street repairs

and minimal expansion

I strongly believe these funds be invested in designing more modes of public transit

and a complete overhaul of downtown.

I propose that downtown, Portland

become a pedestrian, public transit and biking only area

with well built and easily accessible parking lot for car commuters

I propose that we design a subway or light rail system in addition to this

as it would reduce carbon emissions

be built with earthquake technology and increase foot traffic to local business

These few projects would total to less than a half billion dollars

which would leave a surplus to repair already degraded bridges and streets

It's time for us to show the world that here in Portland

we genuinely care for the people and our environment, known as our Mother Earth

We, the people, deserve the best air quality and transportation options

Join me and let us revolutionize our approach to traffic

and create better Portland for everyone

I believe together, we can achieve success such as:

Approve funds to invest in traffic infrastructure reform

to expand public transportation options

and decrease dependence on our congested highways/freeways

In depth analysis and funding projections for building

and maintaining urban Sky Trams and Aerial Trams

Mandate all Tri-Met transportation display captions and voice announcements at each stop for people with disabilities' population

Install more Park n' Ride sites for car commuters while stop adding new parking lot buildings

Start collecting data on traffic so we can track what to expect in the near future with growing number of people using traffic

See this congested traffic? Seriously, tragic.
