Arsene Wenger Expertly Heckled By Arsenal Fan About Champions League Failure

With every passing year, Arsenals Annual General Meeting, in which shareholders attend and basically just get angry at The Gunners board and Arsene Wenger, get more and more eventful.

And this years AGM, which has taken place today, didnt disappoint.

Last season saw Arsenal produce their worst Premier League performance in over 20 years as they finished fifth, missing out on Champions League football for the first time in two decades as Wenger Out protests intensified towards the back end of the 2016/17 campaign.

Even a third FA Cup in four years wasnt enough to placate many disillusioned fans, who have become fed up with the lack of a decent Premier League title challenge and embarrassing displays against Europes biggest clubs, as the 10-2 aggregate defeat against Bayern Munich in the Champions League highlighted.

CEO Ivan Gazidis and chairman Sir Chips Keswick (the real name of a person, apparently.

Chips.) were the target of much of the shareholders vitriol throughout the meeting:.

But perhaps the most relevant heckle, and the one which will have hurt Arsene Wenger the most, came when the Frenchman was discussing how a club like Aston Villa could never again win the Champions League.

One shareholder had the perfect response to the Gunners boss:.

Wenger tells Arsenal AGM, cash disparities mean Aston Villa could no longer win European Cup.

Arsenal have reached one Champions League final under Wengers stewardship, losing to Barcelona 2-1 in Paris in 2006 and have only reached one semi-final since then.

Over the course of a 20 years at the club, many fans dont believe this to be a good enough record, especially considering how Manchester United (twice), Liverpool and Chelsea have all lifted the trophy in that time.

How many more AGMs will Wenger last through as Arsenal manager?.
