Dany Bahar-led Ares coachbuilder reveals G-Class and Bentley Mulsanne-based models

Ex-Lotus boss Dany Bahar's coachbuilding company, Ares, has revealed two models it is currently working on: an SUV based on the Mercedes-Benz G-Class and a coupé version of the Bentley Mulsanne.

Production will commence in the company's newly announced 18,000-square-metre facility in Modena, although the X-Raid SUV is already being constructed elsewhere, with production being transferred.  Previously speaking with Autocar, Bahar revealed that a full carbonfibre recladding of an existing car costs upwards of £750,000, and Ares takes commissions for cars that are a long time away or that have not been factored into production plans by the company.

The Mulsanne coupé is an example of the latter.  Half of the business is made up of limited-run models such as the X-Raid, while the other 50% will be one-offs.

The limited-run cars are priced at around €600,000 (around £539,000), while a one-off costs €700,000-€800,000 (£629,000-£718,000). One-offs for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) can cost around £2 million for a similar service, Bahar says.

The one-offs take around six months to finish, and their prices and build times significantly undercut those of OEM one-offs, making Ares' set-up much more enticing to customers, Bahar says.

Design work is done in-house, although if the customer wants performance upgrades, this work is outsourced.  Bahar plans to reopen an Ares showroom in the Piccadilly area of London, marking the second time the company has increased its square footage to cope with demand.

This demand comes from pre-empting or going further than OEMs go, said Bahar: "We're not trying not to clash with OEMs.

Bentley is not focusing on a big coupé - this is a more senior coupé style. As long as they don't make one, we will continue." The Mulsanne coupé picks up where the Brooklands left off in this segment, especially since Rolls-Royce ceased production of the Phantom coupé.

Ares' last big project was a run of 53 Land Rover Defenders that were given a 282bhp V8 under the bonnet and hardcore off-roading upgrades such as a two-inch lift, winches and roofbars.

Investing Basics: ETFs - Duration: 4:13.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

An Exchange Traded Fund or ETF is an investment fund

that trades like a stock.

ETFs, like other types of funds, pull together

money from investors into a basket

of different investments, including stocks, bonds,

and other securities.

By spreading the fund's money into different securities,

ETFs can generally provide investors with diversification,

which can help balance risk.

And because ETF shares are traded on a stock exchange,

they're bought and sold like stocks

and usually incur commissions and other related fees.

Just like there are a variety of mutual funds,

there are a variety of different ETFs,

each with different objectives.

Some ETFs invest in a variety of stocks and bonds.

Some replicate the performance of a stock index,

like the Dow Jones Industrial Average or S&P 500,

and others tracked the performance

for a particular market sector, like technology

or pharmaceuticals.

However, different ETFs offer different amounts

of diversification.

For example, ETFs that focus more on specific sectors

typically offer less diversification

than those that are designed to replicate an index.

Let's look at an example of investing in an ETF.

Suppose an investor wants to make a diversified investment

that is designed to mirror the performance of a major stock

index like the S&P 500.

After researching different ETFs and finding

the one he wants based on his objective,

he purchases shares of it through his broker,

just like he would an individual stock.

Now that he owns shares, the investor

has a stake in each of the fund's basket of investments,

while only having to purchase one ETF.

Participating in the wide market with only a single purchase

instead of multiple purchases can save an investor research

and analysis time.

So how can an investor potentially achieve

a positive return from the ETF?

Similar to a stock, he can earn a return two ways--

a rising ETF market price and dividends.

Typically, if the value of the ETF's investments increases,

so does its price.

If our investor purchased a hypothetical ETF at $40

and a year later it was selling for $50,

our investor could profit $10 per share

by selling his position.

Of course, if the ETF's price dropped,

our investor would have lost money

if the position was sold at the lower price.

Because many ETFs are traded on a stock exchange,

they can be bought and sold throughout the day.

However, not all ETFs are widely traded,

which can cause difficulty when trying to fill orders.

Now, compare this to a mutual fund.

Most mutual funds are only priced and traded

at the end of the day.

Separate from changes in price, our investor

could potentially gain income if the ETF pays its investors

a dividend, which is a payout of part of the fund's earnings

and capital gains.

Not all ETFs pay dividends.

Many Instead reinvest earnings into the fund's holdings.

One of the ways to tell whether a fund pays dividends

is to look at what's called its dividend yield.

This yield is the amount that the fund pays out

compared to the current market price of a share.

ETFs have other attractive qualities.

While most mutual funds require a minimum investment, which

can be substantial, an ETF investor

can just buy a single share plus any commissions and fees.

Also because most ETFs aren't actively managed,

they typically have lower management fees

than mutual funds.

There is a wide variety of ETFs that attempt to track assets,

like corporate bonds, stocks in remote countries,

commodities, and even currencies among many other investments.

While these assets carry unique risks, the ETFs that track them

offer investors a practical way to analyze

and potentially find opportunities

in a number of markets.

Pennywise make-up tutorial /Halloween make-up / Stephen Kings´s IT remake 2017 /horrorclown sfx - Duration: 12:01.

Hi an welcome to my channel. I did this tutorial for maskworld.com

all stuff you need for these two make-ups you can buy at www.maskworld.com

I really enjoyed doing this make-ups, I hope you like it, too. Have fun and enjoy.

First I´m transforming myself into the new Pennywise

I start glueing down

my bald cap in the middle of my forehead

I´m taking some liquid latex and soak some cotton wool in it

so that I can still put little cotton wool under it. I put as many inside as it takes to get the correct form of Pennywise´s big head

as soon as I have the perfect size I´m glueing down the rest of my bald cap

If you can´t make it alone at the back of your head just ask someone to help you.

as soon as I´m finished with this

I take a little cotton tip with acetone and make all the visible edges invisible

the next step isn´t that neccessary but I just did it

I´m putting down some skin wax on my eyebrows to cover them

and to make it easier to remove the make-up and all the latex stuff in the end

with white water make-up

I´m painting my forehead and head

Then I´m starting with the texture of the big head

this part takes most of the time. You just sculpt it until you like the form.

I´m taking some liquid latex and soak some cotton wool in it

I´m then just sculpting the wet latex cotton wool with my fingers or a spatula

I always have my Pennywise photo in front of me

to get as close as the original

as soon as everything has dried

btw you can also use a hairblower to dry it more quickly

I paint everything white with white water make-up

the little cracks I just sculpted are now being painted with grey water make-up

Temple and forehead area are contoured with grey water make-up

use some white water make-up to blend a nice transition

waterline and eyes are blackened with a kohl kajal liner

and blend with black eyeshadow

then I´m drawing with a thin brush

the eyebrow line with grey water make-up

Then I paint the rest of my face with

with white water make-up

lips and nose are painted red. I´m also doing this with red water make-up

with a cotton tip I´m tipping aroung the nose

so that the painted edge has a soft pass

the lips are drawn with a red lip liner first

and filled with red water make-up later

after that I´m drawing the curved lines

which are actually the most important thing in this new Pennywise make-up

to give the lips a more interesting look

I´m also taking some darker red make-up

That´s basically the whole make-up...not that difficult

now the hair :-)

I took some beards we sell at our shop, because they simply had the perfect colour

and glued them down with some Mastix skin adhesive

I didn´t need to use lots of hairspray

because the hair itself is just perfect frizzy for this

Again if you have problems in the back of your head

just ask a friend to help you

nearly done, last finishing, putting in some yellow contact lenses

and the teeth, cut them into the correct form

before you cut put them into hot water to form them

put on your Pennywise costume

andy you are ready for Halloween!

for all who didn´t like the new Pennywise make-up

and prefer the old classical Tim Curry Pennywise

take a look NOW :-)

like before I also start here with the bald cap

and fill it with cotton wool

and glue the edges down

actually the steps are really similar

I´m modeling cotton wool soaked with liquid latex

this time I try to make it as smooth as possible

a spatula is perfect for smooting

after this everything is painted white with water make-up

leave out nose and mouth

waterline of the eyes are painted black with a black eyeliner

with blue aqua make-up I´m painting little triangles on my upper eyelids

and little black lines under my eyes

don´t forget the remarkable eyebows, I love them here

the lips are painted red and the outer corners are drawn downwards

my Pennywise photo is still in front of me

to come as close as possible to the original

with black the lips are blended a little bit to the inner part of your mouth

when finished, I´m starting with the nose

and who would have guessed?...yeah again with latex and cotton wool

I don´t need any adhesive because this sticks very well

I try to form the nose as a ball

try to smooth this as good as possible

after the nose has dried I can paint it with red water make-up

nearly finished...now the hair

Again I´m using some real hair beards we sell at maskworld.com

I prepared them before with red water make-up

just cut them into pieces and start now to glue them on my head

they looked so nice and fluffy and came really close to the hair of the classical Pennywise

after glueing I´m cutting them

style them a little bit and you´re done :-)

this is also actually a Pennywise version

but no that wouldn´t be as scary as we want to be ;-)

put in the fitting contact lenses and teeth

and finish the look with the evil melted face

and of course I´m doing this with cotton wool and latex once more

as you can see you can modeling quite a lot with this really easy and cheap method

beginning with the evil eyebrow from the top to the bottom

and then paint with different colours

use different reds and a bit of purple, grey and black

the deepest parts are made up with black or a dark colour

here it is important that you don´t blend all the colours together

because then it would become only one boring grey, so it´s important to let the colour stand alone for itself, too

don´t mix, make the make-up interesting for the eyes, but blend the hard edges with a little bit of white

don´t forget the lips, for this look they don´t need to be that red

just fade them out with a bit of white

focus here and there with some black water paint

put on your Pennywise costume and BOOOHHHH!!!

you ARE Pennywise the dancing clown! >:-)

I´m really excited about Halloween and how many Pennywise versions or Horror clowns I will meet this year.

check out the info box for more details and the products I used.

thanks for watching and happy halloween!

Political Science at K-State - Duration: 2:28.

Political Science is far more broad than I think most people typically understand.

With a degree in Political Science you can hope to have an impact on people's lives

and actually make a difference in the world.

One of the great things about Political Science is that it's a very practical degree.

It's well rounded, it makes you a well-versed citizen.

An understanding for how government works can be hugely valuable.

Not just to work in government, but in all things the government touches as well.

We teach you the tools to carry out statistical analysis

which can be applied to basically any field.

National data says that Political Science majors often have higher salaries

than some professional tracks. Many of them are in managerial positions because

they have critical thinking skills and interpersonal and analytical skills.

One of the cool things about Political Science is that you can do internships for credit.

We have students who are interns in Washington, D.C., but also in Topeka and in city offices across the state as well.

Political Science is a big proponent of real world experience.

A number of our students have interned overseas.

I'm traveling to Nagawa, Japan.

That's going to be a really fun opportunity to broaden my political science horizons,

and getting that international perspective.

There will also be countless opportunities to carry out research.

Our faculty are both involved in research and in teaching.

The same people who are teaching you are the same people who are

doing cutting edge research on that topic.

There's just so many opportunities to apply for scholarships.

and help fund your education.

We have at least 17 scholarships and we give over $20,000 every year.

The concurrent MPA program is fantastic for students who are trying to get

the most out of their time here at K-State.

It allows you to finish both degrees, the bachelor's and the Masters of Public Administration within 6 years.

It allows students to get through school much quicker.

And then also the added bonus of saving students money as well.

If you're thinking about enrolling in Political Science at K-State, I'd say go for it.

It's incredibly broad. That opens up a ton of doors for you later down the road.

You can really change the world.

Knickers sorely needed! Bieber's ex flashes privates in minidress slashed to crotch

The stunning DJ, who used to date Justin Bieber, 23, accidentally exposed more than she bargained for during a girls night out.

The 24-year-old, who usually impresses with her Chantel Jeffries Instagram reveals, looked gorgeous in a tiny white shirt-dress.

She was already flashing the flesh in the low-cut number as she went totally braless.

In fact, her bare assets just about managed to stay in place in the flimsy get-up.

However, it was her undercarriage that ended up betraying her and stealing the limelight.

Chantel accidentally flashed her privates as the dress came open and there split aligned with her crotch.

Whats worse is that shed clearly decided to leave her knickers at home, meaning absolutely nothing was left to the imagination.

Chantel teamed her raunchy ensemble with a thick black belt, knee-high boots and a trendy [glam used below] shoulder bag.

She also amped up the glam with smoky dark eyeshadow and dazzling glossy lips.

The star finished off her chic look with shiny poker-straight locks.

Chantel was out on the town in LA with US singer Pia Mia.

The blonde also looked equally eye-catching in a racy all-black outfit.

Something tells us these girls had no difficulty raking in the phone numbers….

Learning at Wave Hill - Duration: 2:30.

The approach that we take to training the next generation of nature educators is really

tied into the approach that we take to education in general.

We focus on three major things: building comfort and familiarity with the natural world; we

also really focus on teaching skills, outdoor group management and best practices in education;

and then the last aspect is finding a way to empower the interns in whatever situations.

So Imani ended up doing a lot of the stuff that make school programs happen.

Working here at Wave Hill has really been a profound, beautiful and magical experience

for me.

I love teaching the kids that come here; they really enjoy the garden, they really enjoy

the things that they learn, and I love to see them enjoying nature!

One of my favorite things to do with the students was after the lesson, I would take them into

the woodlands, and I would often guide them to explore the woodlands through stillness

and through being quiet—because it's a different kind of ecosytem and has a different energy

that can really uplift you, so I really encourage the students to really sit with that, really

appreciate it, and take that with them back out into this world that we live in, and so

that whenever they do connect with nature and do see nature, they can have a deeper

connection to it.

I remember Jonathan, he gave me this article that really helped me.

It was an article where a student came up to the teacher and asked the teacher some

questions about nature.

The teacher didn't know, but the teacher encouraged the student to observe what they saw, interact

with it and learn about it themselves, so then the student was teaching the teacher

as well.

So there's so many different learning opportunities, not just for the students but for me teaching

them and interacting with them.

You're helping them interact with their environment, make obsservations on their own opposed to

you just telling them.

So—and because here at Wave Hill, we allow the students to do that, I feel that their

experiences here are something that lasts with them for a lifetime.

People are a part of nature, not apart from nature.

And our gardens really speak to that, our views speak to that, it just fe—you feel

like you're a part of something.
