Paul left Thessalonica with a thankful heart.

And it wasn't because of the hospitality he received there.

A Jewish mob, outraged by his teaching, set the city in an uproar, and ran him out of

town.

These mobsters wanted to stop the proclamation of the Gospel.

They even followed Paul and his team to Berea to stir up trouble there.

So why was Paul thankful?

Because the new believers there accepted the message not as the word of men, but as what

it really is, the word of God.

This word of God, the message concerning Jesus Christ, was at work in them.

It was so powerful, it turned these men and women from idols to serve the living and true

God.

And it anchored them in genuine, life-changing hope.

Welcome back Young Achiever.

Let's talk about entitlement.

Entitlement is one of the biggest reasons why you don't

actually have what you want.

So many people look at wealthy people with hate.

Why?

They worked long hours, created something unique,

helped other people out, and got money for it.

That sounds like a well deserving person to me.

Why do we get mad at other people

when they've worked for what they have?

Entitlement drives me nuts.

We even see this in kids sports now a days.

Oh you get trophy, you get a trophy

everyone gets a trophy, for what?

Y'all had a win loss of 0:16?

You didn't do anything.

Oh, you participated, here's a trophy.

Or even worse, you're all winners.

Everyone gets the same trophy.

We're not teaching kids nowadays

that there's a difference between winners and losers.

Everyone is on the same level.

Well honestly, they're not.

Some people work hard for what they get,

some people don't want to do anything for what they have.

And in the end, life is fair.

Oh that's not fair,

well, yeah it is.

They worked for it, you didn't.

That's how it works out.

Some of the richest men in the world

came from nothing.

Larry Page started Google in his garage.

Mark Zuckerburg started Facebook

in his college dorm room.

These people weren't the richest people on the planet

to begin with but they had an idea.

They worked at it, and they got where they wanted to be.

We should do the same, if you want something so bad,

work for it.

Don't just sit around and complain while other people

achieve their goals, do it yourself.

Get back to the grind, and get it done.
