Youtube daily report Oct 5 2017

Hi guys! My name is Caitlin and I am from the Channel Kitty G on YouTube and I

have been asked to come on Book Break today to talk to you all about fantasy

and where you should start if you would like to get into fantasy. The reason I

love fantasy - and it's predominantly what I read - is because it is an escapist

journey. It is a realm, a new world, a different adventure from my normal life.

It gives me something to have fun, to enjoy, to imagine, to get excited about

and there's nothing better than finding a new book or a new series that just

excites me and makes me believe in a world or believe in the characters or

get transported away. I adore that and I absolutely love that feeling of just

mysticism and magic and something not quite right but something very

intriguing. So, today, I have a couple of different options to tell you guys about

depending on what you might already like. So, the first book I have to recommend is

actually the first one in a series and it is this one called "Malice" by John

Gwynne. This is very classic inspired fantasy adventure; it follows a whole

cast of different characters and there is definitely a sense of good versus

evil. It has lots of different races, lots of different magics and lots of types of

people in this world. So, the mystery and the adventure is quite a big epic

adventure. It involves a lot of different people from all over the land, it's very

very fun even though it's a classic fantasy, it does have themes that are

more modern and it doesn't just rely on the old tropes that Lord of the Rings

has. It is an easy to get into series; I think it's a very simple story when you

begin it but it gets more complicated and more layered as you go through and

it's definitely a series that I would strongly recommend trying if you are

already a fan of things like Lord of the Rings or if you just want to go into a

classic fantasy. This would definitely fall under that terminology and John

Gwynne has since built up quite a reputation for himself by becoming a

very well established fantasy author; he's been highly acclaimed and he's also

bringing out some other books. This is a four part series but I believe he has

another book that's just come out as well in a new series and I'm sure that

he will bring more and more out as time goes on because he is great at

building big epic expansive worlds, so if that sounds like your sort of thing - if

you like Game of Thrones, if you like things like that - maybe give this one a

try. Moving away from the big huge epics, if you would like something that

involves romance or something that involves a little bit more lighthearted

fun, then I definitely recommend Gale Carragher who writes The Parasol

Protectorate series and a couple of other series in this world as well. This

book series is aimed at adults, it is a paranormal romance series and it focuses

largely on one main character called Alexia Terra Botti, who is quite mad. She

is very funny and very witty and it's set in a sort of Victorian era time. This

does not hold back any of the characters in this world, we have a mixture of

vampires and werewolves who live amongst the humans and there is some steamy time

in this - it's definitely a romp, it's definitely silly. It takes the mick

out of some of the tropes you might have seen in other werewolf and vampire

books, so it's not the same as those and it definitely has a lot going for it in

terms of humor. It is funny, it is entertaining and it is a series that I

think a lot of people would really enjoy particularly if you are looking for

romance in your fantasy books. Moving on to a slightly shorter book again but

this one is very different it's more in a Regency period of history and this is

called A Natural History of Dragons: A Memoir by Lady Trent and this is written

by Marie Brennan. It is the first one also in a five-part series and our main

character Lady Trent is a natural historian, who loves to go around

studying dragons. She and her husband at the time are both very adventurous

they like to go and travel all over the world in search of dragons and they

have an excellent fun time doing so, however they also managed to get into

lots of scrapes. There is definitely an adventure element to this, I think if you

like things like natural discovery, like science and like exploration then this

is definitely going to be a series that will appeal to you. It's not all fiery

dragons, it's a lot more about the study of dragons and finding out their inner

workings and really trying to find the science behind the magic, which is really

really cool and I definitely would say this is an easy fun to get into series

and well worth giving a try. If you are fairly new to

fantasy and it's something you're coming to fairly recently. then I would

recommend The Lie Tree by Frances Hardinge. This is a book that I just read

and this is actually the illustrated edition which is absolutely stunning, so

I will just show you some of the illustrations from within this because

they are by Chris Riddell and they are absolutely gorgeous so definitely worth

picking up the illustrated edition if you do go for this but this is a story

that is quite in the vein of adventure; young fun kids adventures. It definitely

has a lot more creepy undertones than you would get in say an Enid Blyton book

but it's in that similar vein of young kids going on an adventure, trying to

figure out mysteries trying to uncover what's really going on when the adults

aren't telling them everything and that is the root of this story and roots are

actually a large part of this story because it focuses on a tree which eats

lies and the more lies it eats, the bigger it grows and we have one main

character who is feeding it lies over the course of this book and it's just

growing more and more out of control. Alongside this she is trying to uncover

the mystery of what really happened to her father to make them leave England

and they're on this tiny island that's very remote and in the middle of nowhere,

where everyone doesn't really like them. It's definitely got creepy vibes to it,

it does appeal to YA and kid readers but this will appeal to adults as well

because I just read it myself and really really enjoyed it and I would say that

this is certainly a book that anyone could read, especially if you do get the

illustrated edition - it is wonderful. So, well worth checking this one out. Moving

on to a few of my favorite reads; one of the first fantasy books that I ever read

and that really got me into adult fantasy was this one: Final Empire by

Brandon Sanderson - this is the first one in the Mistborn series - and you may have

heard of this because it is a fairly popular series. Brandon Sanderson writes

in a way that it's very easy to get into so if you are already a YA reader or

a kids reader and you'd like to try some adult fiction or fantasy, this might

be a really good way into it because it is very approachable, very easy to

understand but has a really, really cool magic system. The magic in this world

revolves around swallowing a vial of liquid metal and depending on what

abilities you yourself have, you can then burn the metal inside your stomach to

make you do certain things, magical things, like being able to jump really

high or being able to fog people's minds. It's a really really cool concept, the

world that Sanderson builds in this is absolutely fantastic; very immersive, very

easy to get into but filled with vibrance and life and you can imagine it

very very easily, so I would say this is certainly a series to try and this one

is the first in a trilogy. It is a bit chunkier but I think Sanderson reads

very, very quickly so even though it looks intimidating, it's actually a very

fast paced read and I think you will get through it quickly and there are plenty

more of his books out there if you do enjoy this one as well. Moving on to the

final book I've got to recommend which is actually by one of my favorite

authors and that is this book by Robin Hobb.

It is Assassin's Apprentice and this follows one main character, so it is not

a multiple point of view of story. It's actually focused on just the one main

character and he is called Fitz. He is the young bastard son of a prince and

Fitz really gets put through the ringer in

this book and this series. Robin Hobb has a way of writing that I think appeals to

people who read literary books, so if you're already a literary reader or

you're already someone who likes quite evocative, descriptive stories then I do

think that Robin Hobb is going to be an author that you might enjoy. If you like

your characters to be incredibly well thought out and fleshed out, then again I

do think Robin Hobb will be an author that you can get behind. Her stories are

slower paced than some of the other books I've mentioned, so it does take

longer to get into her books and her world but she has an extensive magic

system that runs throughout her entire series and the main character - even

though he's dislikable at times - he's a very approachable and very relatable and

understandable character which means that you can really get inside the

mindset and enjoy kind of reading from his perspective about his life and the

trials and tribulations and challenges that he faces trying to learn how to

become an assassin. So, those are the six books that I would recommend for getting

into fantasy. Once you have read one of them hopefully you will enjoy it and you

will want to go and read more but if you have any other recommendations that you

think are great for starting places with fantasy, please do leave them in the

comments below. Thank you all so much for watching and I'm sure I will see you all

very soon! Bye :)

PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot makes interesting admission about Liverpool - Duration: 3:49.

PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot makes interesting admission about Liverpool

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot admits he would like to play in the Premier League, and that he was a "big Liverpool fan" growing up.

At just 22, Rabiot is a very forthright character, as he proved in 2015 when he asked PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi for a loan move "if my time on the field is insufficient.

The Frenchman ultimately seized a key role at Parc des Princes, making 39 appearances in all competitions last season, including 30 starts.

But while he has maintained his prominence in Paris this term, Rabiot would not be averse to a move away from the club in the future.

Speaking to French radio station RMC Sport this week, he revealed his desire to turn out in the English top flight.

And encouragingly, while he stressed he is "happy at PSG," Rabiot named Liverpool as his favourite club as a child.

"There are a lot of very good leagues.

It's also enriching to go elsewhere, but for the moment I'm happy at PSG," he explained.

"I would love to play in the Premier League.

There's not necessarily any club in particular, even though when I was young I was a big Liverpool fan.

"Yes, I can understand that my ambition, my impatience can annoy some people.

"But the main thing is that it has been useful to me, today I am here, sometimes you have to dare to say things.

Though he spent his youth career shifting around, including a short spell with Man City, the midfielder has been on the books with PSG since 2010.

After a productive loan move to Toulouse in 2013, he has proved himself invaluable in Paris, and if he did opt to leave, it is unlikely Liverpool would be alone among those interested.

He is likely to reach the milestone of 200 appearances for the Ligue 1 giants this season, including considerable Champions League experience and, to date, three league titles.

A tall, strong, box-to-box midfielder with an eye for goal, Rabiot would be an excellent addition to any top Premier League side.

And he isn't content with his current output, either, insisting he needs to "improve on a statistical level, to be more present in front of the goal, to score more, to make more passes.

"For a box-to-box midfielder, it's essential to be decisive," he added.

"I could also make progress in terms of my aerial game in front of goal.

There are a lot of things, but I feel that I'm making progress.".

If Rabiot feels his progress isn't best served at PSG, Jurgen Klopp should jump at the chance to sign the boyhood Red.

You stole the ball from me to do it.

Yeah, but what matters is that I did it.

I got HOPS.

Right.

I have the hops of a true team captain!

You know it's true.

Yeah, you wish.

No way coach is gonna make you Team Captain.

You're looking at the soon to be T.C. right here!

Was a P.T., upgraded to a T.C.

Nah, you're still my P.T., so could you get that for me?

Yeah, I can be your P.T. any day.

Who is it?

Oh, it's just coach.

Oh, what's he want?

He says, "Kegan, great work today.

Would you be interested in being team captain this season?

What?

No way!

Dude, tell him I accept!

Neal… what are you writing…?

That you accept…

Neal… what did you just send?

What'd you send?

Hey, Phone?

Yes, Kegan.

Please read to me my last text.

Okay, Kegan.

"Hey Coach, I'm honored. I really am. But I think my best friend Neal

is a better fit for team captain than I am.

He's a hard worker, and has some pretty sweet hops."

I do have some sweet hops.

But maybe we should stop for ice ceam?

No amount of ice cream can smooth this over.

It's coach again.

... now he's just sending you a bunch of laughing emojis.

This isn't a joke, coach!

It's okay Neal. I still love you.

Our Story: 4-H Youth Apply Animal Science - Duration: 2:17.

Animal Science Round-up gets young people involved in STEM because it allows you

to really be able to apply science. When they come here they're able to get a

practical application of how science, technology, engineering and math can

apply to an animal project and hopefully spark their interest in a STEM field. My

job is to develop curriculum and programs for youth and obviously a large

portion of that are our 4-H youth that are enrolled in animal science projects.

We have about 16,000 youth in the state that are enrolled in an animal project. I

think it's a really good opportunity to learn new things and meet new people

along the way. I really wanted to try to expand my network and just learn a

little bit more about my industry. One big thing right now that they're trying

is genomics testing and so I'd kind of like to learn about that and see what

traits we're looking for that are gonna cause problems or risks and how we can fix

that. Today while they are at 4-H Round-Up they will be doing a lot of hands-on

activities that they wouldn't be able to do at home. In a way it's like getting a

feel for college. We're living just like college students. I've been showing swine

ever since I was 2 years old it's always been a part of my life. I would like to

be a professor that specializes in swine but overall being in animal science. From

animal round-up I really want to gain more knowledge about the industry and

seeing what we can do as farmers and how we can implement it into our own

operation. Iowa State Extension and Outreach is a non-biased research-based

place to get information. We are the number one source for information in

this state as it relates to animal science because we are doing the

research here at this university. We have to continue to educate our consumers and

our youth so that they know that our conventional farming practices are

sustainable, that we are environmentally friendly and that we are doing a great

job raising a healthy food source for our future. And educating our youth and

our parents and general consumers about that is imperative if we hope to

continue and be able to grow and feed the world.

And thanks to Vikings sponsoring this episode, we'll be bringing back WrestleSketch for

a one-off special later this month!

And we're not the only people bringing old concepts back...

WCW Show Returning To WWE Last night, NXT taped all of their television

up until the next TakeOver special on November 18th - the night before Survivor Series 2017.

Meaning the next story is about footage not yet aired, so prepare to enter the Spoiler

Room Brawl in 3…

2…

1…

The show's NXT Championship match was made, with Andrade Cien Almas becoming Drew McIntyre's

No. 1 contender.

Aleister Black vs the Velveteen Dream and Lars Sullivan vs Kassius Ohno will take place

as grudge matches.

And the Fatal Four Way for the NXT Women's Championship - which was vacated by Asuka

last month - will be between Mae Young Classic winner Kairi Sane, Peyton Roce, Ember Moon

and Nikki Cross.

But the most intriguing announcement was the stipulation added to the three team three-way

match between Undisputed, Sanity and Authors of Pain with Roderick Strong.

At the tapings, the Authors of Pain's tag team title rematch against Sanity ended in

DQ when Adam Cole, Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly ran in for a beat down.

It was then that Strong teased aligning himself with the group - as a fellow Ring of Honor

alumni himself - but he turned on them instead.

William Regal then announced each three-man unit would face off in...a War Games match.

Yeah, that War Games - the old WCW concept which had two rings alongside each other encased

in one giant cage, and a new member of each team enters every two minutes.

It took about ten minutes of going through the various rules before the match could ever

get started.

To my knowledge - and by that, I mean Wikipedia's - this will be the 31st War Games match in

history, and the first ever to be a three vs three vs three, rather than the traditional

five-on-five.

In a bonus trivia note, Paul Ellering competed in the first two War Games matches, and he'll

be managing the Authors of Pain in the first one for nearly two decades next month.

And in true spoiler fashion, Triple H publicly announced the news on Twitter:

"For the first time in nearly 20 years...

#NXTTakeOver: WarGames" Pro Wrestling Sheet reported last month that

WWE were considering bringing back a few WCW event names, which seemed to be a way to boost

dwindling live event ticket sales.

Because remember that time with the nostalgia?

But when WWE announced they're using the Starrcade name (which was WCW's version

of WrestleMania) for a special Smackdown live event in North Carolina, former WWE wrestler

and current Ring of Honor champion Cody Rhodes wasn't best pleased, tweeting:

"Dear @MichaelPSHayes1 If you're afraid an event won't sell cuz' the holiday and want

one of my Dad's events...at least book Goldy..

-Cody" Both Starrcade and War Games were events dreamed

up by Cody's late father Dusty Rhodes, but the American Nightmare has tweeted his blessing

for his former employer's latest use of his dad's ideas:

"I'm not mad.

I was told.

H worked for my Dad and then my Dad worked for him.

They were friends.

Care and effort will be placed into it."

While Triple H surely will treat Dusty's baby with respect, he had to abandon his own

last night - as he's visiting India on business ahead of WWE's December tour there.

"Gutted to miss my first @WWENXT taping ever while in @WWEIndia but I have the best

team in the world doing it...Have a hell of a show!"

And by 'the best team in the world', Triple H of course meant 'DX'.

"Don't worry, H, @ShawnMichaels and I are holding the fort down!

@WWENXT @TripleH #OUDK," tweeted former DX member and current Smackdown LIVE producer

Road Dogg.

Just as a peak behind the curtain of the WrestleTalk News, this War Games story has so far taken

me twice as long to write as normal, because I keep watching bits of the 1992 match between

Sting's Squadron and Paul Heyman's Dangerous Alliance.

If you're not familiar with the War Games concept, check that match out, as it really

is a masterpiece of storytelling.

Is Bray Wyatt really going to be playing Sister Abigail himself?

And where the hell are the fashion police?

10 Fastest Trains in the World (2017) | Max speed 603 km/h (375 mph) - Duration: 5:54.

Maximum speed of high-speed trains has been gradually increased in the past century.

And the hunger for higher speed never stops as it's proven beneficial

in improving people's productivity, lower carbon footprint,

as well as smaller mortality rate compared to other modes of transportations.

That's why maximum speed testing on new train prototypes is held occasionally.

These are 10 fastest train models in the world.

Tenth place, 300X.

300X or Class 955 is the Shinkansen trial model introduced in 1992.

Six total units were produced by four different vendors with little variations among them.

In July 1996, Unit 6 which is the last unit managed to clock 443 km/h

in test-running and became Shinkansen's fastest train record which still stands today.

Nineth place, Transrapid 07.

Germany's transrapid development began in 1969.

19 years later, the seventh generation model registered maximum cruising of 450 km/h

along one-year-old Ermsland test-run facility.

Until today, it remains the fastest rail record in Germany.

Eighth place, CRH380A.

China relied on foreign trains for their first generation fleet.

In early 2008, a development of homegrown high-speed trains began

with a target of commercial speed of 380 km/h, hence the model was named CRH380A.

On December 3rd, 2010; the train reached 486.1 km/h during 220 km test-run.

Seventh place, CRH380BL.

Derived from Germany's Siemens Velaro,

100 units of CRH380BL were built locally by China Northern Railways Company.

During a subsequent test on January 10th, 2011; these 16-car trainsets

broke China's own locomotive record of 487.3 km/h; that's about 1.2 km/h faster.

Sixth place, Transrapid SMT.

The only commercial version of Transrapid train began its operation

between Shanghai International Airport and Longyang Road Station

with travel distance of 30 km. Albeit able to reach 501 km/h,

the daily operating speed is capped at 431 km/h

which was already the fastest commercial speed during that time.

Fifth place, TGV Atlantique.

TGV Atlantique is the 2nd TGV model introduced by Alstrom in 1989

for France high-speed rail service. On a sunny day of 18th May,

TGV Atlantique trainset 308 cruised along LGV Atlantique railway line at 515.3 km/h.

It was the fastest commercial train model on the planet.

Forth place, ML-500.

Miyazaki test track was built at the length of 7 km

with monorail track upon opening in 1977, but changed to u-shape in late 1980.

The first trial train model, ML-500, was built specifically

to become the first ever train to break 500km/h speed mark.

Third Place, TGV POS.

A series of test runs called Operation V150 were conducted on the LGV Est

prior to its June 2007 opening using a specially modified train.

On April 3rd 2007, top speed of 574.8 km/h was reached,

making it the fastest wheeled train on the planet.

Second Place, MLX01.

Yamanashi test track is the third generation track specifically

for testing maglev train at the length of 43 km.

Upon its completion, MLX01 trains were introduced in 1997.

From that day, continuous efforts were made by exercising serial test-run for years.

In 2003, the train clocked 581 km/h which was the fastest train ever during that time.

First Place, L0 Series.

When the MLX01 service was terminated in 2011, JR Central,

the body which governs Japan research in maglev train

introduced a new generation train model called L0 Series.

L0 Series was shown to public in November 2012. On April 21st, 2015;

a seven-car train set a new land speed record for rail vehicles at 603 km/h.

It is the only rail vehicle ever surpassed 600 speed mark.

ARE WE LIVING IN A SIMULATION? - Duration: 7:14.

We are living in a simulation Mabel.

My Sim had a cat too.

So the person who controls me right now has a cat too.

Why do we love cats so much

Hello my friends!

I don't know how you came across this channel but it seems that you are making right decisions.

Don't forget to subscribe!

Today, I want to talk about something that has been on my mind lately.

What if this life is not the real one and...

... we are actually all living in a computer simulation?

I've been thinking about this for a long time.

I've discussed this a lot with some of my friends.

I mean we did some brainstorming.

Could it really be...

... or are we talking nonsense.

But when you think about somethings, somethings, somethings that I'm gonna tell you about...

...in fact you see that this can really be possible

It was a ridiculous sentence. (sounds funny in Turkish)

It's probably because of the movies I watch, the TV series I watch, I sometimes see really strange dreams.

They were so real! I'm going to make some videos in the future about lucid dreaming.

The ability to control your dreams.

I can control some of my dreams and I could feel that the dream was incredibly real at that moment.

Don't wake up!

You are actually living the reality right now. If you wake up, you'll get out of this reality.

And you'll go back to that simulated world . Someone keeps telling me these in those dreams.

I was seeing such strange dreams.

Later on I've looked at a lot of things related to this on the internet.

What do other people think about this, what kinds of theories are there about this.

Can we really be living in a simulation?

If we are living in a simulation, is there a way to get out?

I've searched a lot of things on the internet

and I came across many articles.

Some of them were really stupid

It was like "Yeah we get it, you are talking bullsh*t now"

Some of them seemed rational

I wanted to talk about the latter.

I was chilling with my flatmate the other day and was talking about this situmilation theory. I asked "Is there a possibility that we are living in a simulation?"

"Can we prove it or not? Are we living in it or not?"

And he said, Melis was with us too by the way,

"Melis and you, pick a number and tell me the number at the same time"

I guess it was on one of the Docter Who episode

And we picked a number and told them and the both numbers were different.

And then he said...

"A computer program can't choose different random numbers at the same time"

but I just remembered İlker,

I told my number after Melis did.

İlker: I don't even care!

So it can be possible.

Maybe even miliseconds are count for it to work.

Anyway let's go back to our topic, what I'm actually trying to say is...

He said that...

...a computer program cannot choose different random numbers at the same time.

Actually there is not one person. We cannot think it as just a one program.

We can think this as every character has their own controller.

It's just like an online version of SIMS

Do we have free will?

This is very important.

We all say that we in fact have free will and we are free to think whatever we want.

If I want to do something, I do. If I don't want to do it, I don't.

If I can find the link to this article, I'll put it in the description.

A study suggests that if you clear short-term memories of a person and then ask them the same question and give the same parameters...

... they give the same answers. Over and over and over and over again they give the same answers.

It seems that we are predictable.

Again it's like on the SIMS

When you first create a sim, you have to earn some skills such as cooking or singing.

And once you got the skills, your sim started doing stuffs by themselves.

I mean at first you have to teach these skills to your sim, then they start making decisions by themselves.

For example

If you forget to feed your sim and they are on level 3 or 4 at cooking, they cook by themselves.

You don't need to tell them to eat or something.

We can adapt this to our own world.

I don't know if I'm confusing you too much.

I hupe, hupe lsmdnglsn

I hope I'm being rational, I sound rational.

At least I sound rational to me.

I've seen in an article on the internet

Thank you.

There is this Planck Length.

Planck Length is known as the smallest lenght in the universe.

And there is nothing smaller than this. Because the things that smaller than the Planck Length cannot be found, it cannot be studied.

So it is considered to be the smallest unit of universe.

And for the computers, the smallest unit is pixel.

Right now you can find a lot of challenges about simulation.

Such as YouTube Simulator, this simulator, that simulator...

and the technology has come so far.

Just think about it. There were silly games back then

They had two dimentions. But now the graphics are amazingly realistic.

And with the virtual reality glasses, you can be in the moment while playin a game.

And when you think about the future, like thousands years later, technology will be so advance that

all these things I've been talking about living in a simulation might not be a nonsense.

Have you ever think that you are living in a simulation?

Have you had such times, or...

.. you just say: "Come on Mehmet, you are being ridiculous, just make good content, what is this?...

... are you out of your mind? You got into Boğaziçi University, What are you doing?"

You can write down below in the comment section what you are thinking about this.

As I said before, I've been thinking about it lately way too much

And I've shared my thoughts with whoever I come across with

Whether we are living in a simulator or notlaşjsgjalsasga...

It's good to have a brainstorming.

Even though we cannot prove if this is true or not.

If we are living in a simulation, whoever controlling me is making stupid decisions.

I'm calling up to him, you can make much better decisions so that I can become a billionaire.

I can control my sims very good.

So make better choices!

So that's it my friends.

If you like the video, don't forget to give it a big thumbs up and if you are not subscribed yet, you can subcribe by clicking the button down below.

My babe.

We are living in a simulation Mabel.

We are living in a simulation Mabel.

My sim had a cat too.

So the person who controls me right now has a cat too.

Why do we love cats so much?

So what should they do Mabel?

Like this video! We'll see you in the next video. Take care and goodbye!

Bye

Where are you going with this, Mehmet? Pick up your thoughts and talk after that.

What was talking about?

Pectus excavatum Symptom of Marfan Syndrome - Duration: 2:13.

Just now, in our Health story,

we met a girl whose father

was diagnosed with a type of disease

known as Marfan syndrome.

This is the first time that I have heard of this.

Our understanding of Marfan syndrome is actually very short.

The first report of it was in 1898,

from a French physician named Antoine Marfan.

At an academic conference,

he reported about a 5-year-old girl,

and from that point on,

this disease was named after him,

called Marfan syndrome.

We are aware of this disease

mainly because a former US volleyball

player named Flo Hyman had it.

Speaking of Hyman,

she was once a famous volleyball player,

who died suddenly.

Let us watch a short video to learn more.

In the 1980s, Chinese women`s volleyball team

grew, and won five championships.

At the time, a few final matches

between the US and Chinese women`s volleyball teams

caught the attention of many viewers in China.

Aside from their support and passion

many viewers were also impressed

and felt very good about

the amazing US spiker,

Hyman, who was 1.96 meters tall.

When it comes to Hyman,

People`s impression of her was that

she was thin, tall and had long hands and feet.

Her arms and fingers were especially long.

Hyman was the most skilled at

spiking the ball in front of the net,

and it was because of the natural advantage of

her tall figure and long arms.

But what she didn`t know is that

behind these natural gifts

was a major danger.

On January 24, 1986,

Hyman was representing

Japan`s Daier women`s squad

in a match against the Hitachi team.

After the third match finished

she suddenly collapsed,

and efforts made to revive her failed.

She passed a way at 9.36 local time

at just 32-year-old.

Through an autopsy,

medical pathologists verified that

Hyman died due to a rip of the arterial areurysm

in her thoracic aortic dissection,

A severe complication of Marfan syndrome.

She died from this disease.

7 Lightroom KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS that will help you edit FASTER - Duration: 5:37.

what is up everybody we are back today with another Lightroom tutorial this one

is by request if you're a new to Lightroom or if you just don't use

keyboard shortcuts you are missing out because this is a huge time-saver one of

the things that Lightroom is so good at is taking a large group of images and

being able to cull out ones you don't want to use make your selects and narrow

that down into a collection that you will edit and then pass off to a client

or for your own personal use whatever that may be I want to dive down and show

you how you can save some time with my 7 top keyboard shortcuts let's get started

so I have a set of images that I've brought into Lightroom here and

depending on how you shoot when you bring images in it could be a lot of

images it could be hundreds and so what I want to do is start culling down a

large collection into a decent size that I can work with in Lightroom the way we

do this in Lightroom is by using flag states and there are two different flag

states you can flag an image as rejected or you can flag an image as a pick and by

default when you bring your images in there all unflagged so what we need to

do is go set these for each image now the way we're gonna do that using

keyboard shortcuts is using the letter X to set is rejected in the letter P to

set is pick so if I hit the letter X on the keyboard you can see that it set

that image as rejected and actually fades it out a little bit too so you can

tell that it's actually says rejected I don't care for those images all but

however the next ones I do like so I'm going to use P to go through and mark

these as picked and so what you want to do is go through all of your images and

set these now when you've rejected an image it is not deleted it's still on

the disk you can still see it here it just enables us to go into another view

or we can hide that I'll show you how to do that in a minute one other variation

on here that you can use is to hold down the shift key so if I hold down shift

and hit the letter X what it does is it marks as rejected and it automatically

moves the selection over to the next image I don't have to arrow over and the

same with Shift P it sets it as a pick and then moves the selection over so

that's a much faster way that you can work using those two keyboard shortcuts

using the shift key in combination with X and P is a good way to work but it is

not a great way to work and the frustration that I have with that

sometimes is it forces you to work in a linear fashion in other words if you

hold down shift and I set something as a pick and it moves on to the next image

and I said that is rejected and so on so forth I'm working in the order that my

library is sort of in and so oftentimes what will happen is I'll come on an

image and I'll set is rejected or picked and then I get to the next one like oh

wait a minute I need to compare these

Lightroom has a solution for that so right now I am just

using the arrow key to move around and navigate in the view here and you might

notice that like for instance these three images are very similar so I want

to look at them all together to make my selections so what I'm gonna do here is

I'm using the arrow key if I hold down the shift key you can select multiple

images as you move the arrow over and here's where your next keyboard shortcut

comes in and you're going to hit the letter N as in Nancy on the keyboard

and what this does is it goes into survey view I like to think of this is

create a new survey view that way I can remember it's the letter N because this

one's a little tricky and what this does is it just gives me a view of just those

three images that I've selected and I can still go through here and let's say

these are pretty negligible but the first one's gonna be the pick and I'll

go ahead and hit X on these next ones and then I'm done now to go back to the

grid view you're going to use the next keyboard shortcut which is the letter G

it stands for grid so if I hit G you're going to go back to grid view so I've

gone through all of these images I've marked them as either picked or rejected

and now what it's time to do is invoke filters so we don't see those rejected

images and the way that we do this is turn filters on and you're going to hold

down command L if you're on the Mac if you're on PC it's ctrl L and what that

does is it turns the library filters on now you can see these right now there

are no filters that are set so it didn't do anything but what you can do there's

a bunch of different ways you can filter images if you only want to see star

ratings or whatever what we're gonna do is simply click on the pick flag which

is the first one that you see on the left and what that does is it narrows

all of your images down just to the ones that we picked if I only want to see the

rejects you can do a different filter for that and you can toggle that filter

view on and off with command L on the Mac see now I've turned it off or ctrl L

on the PC and then that just turns it on and off okay so I have made my final

selects and it's time to go do some post work so

we need to go into the develop module well I could grab the mouse I could

click on develop at the top of the screen but come on that doesn't save any

time we're talking keyboard shortcuts what you're gonna do is simply select

the image you want to edit click the letter D on the keyboard and that takes

you into the develop module with the selected image and once you've done your

editing and you want to go back to grid view well we already learned the

shortcut key for that it's G that takes you back to the grid before we end this

tutorial I'm going to give you a couple additional keyboard shortcuts that make

it easy to navigate around in Lightroom as most of you know Lightroom is

comprised of these seven modules up here library developed map book slideshow so

on and so forth I really only use the first three but anyway to navigate

around these you can use a keyboard shortcut this one's really fancy because

it uses three keys what you're gonna do is on the Mac you're gonna hold down

command option if you're on a PC it's ctrl alt and you're going to use the

number one two three four through seven to select your module so for instance if

I want to go over to the map module I'm going to hold down on the Mac command

option three since it's module three and I go to the map module if I want to go

to develop its command option two if I want to go back to library its command

option one so that's another little trick that you can use just to navigate

around those modules if you have any keyboard shortcuts in your workflow that

you like feel free to share them in a comment below speaking of sharing share

this video with somebody who might find it useful and hit that like button until

the next video I'll see you guys then later

Miley Cyrus Cries Writing Hillary Clinton a Thank You Note|K CHANNEL - Duration: 3:25.

Miley Cyrus Cries Writing Hillary Clinton a Thank You Note

The 2016 presidential election was an emotional one for many Americans, including Miley Cyrus.

The Malibu singer got teary-eyed reading a thank you note to Hillary Clinton during the former presidential candidates guest appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

During the show, Jimmy Fallon invited his female writers to take part in his routine thank you note segment by writing letters of appreciation to the former secretary of state and reading them out loud.

Youve inspired so many people around the country, including many right here on our staff at The Tonight Show, Fallon told Clinton.

I know that our female writers, in particular, are big fans of yours, and they wanted to thank you in person. Cyrus, whos been appearing on the show every day this week, wanted to participate, as well.

However, she didnt get very far in her note before starting to choke up.

Thank you, Hil she began, holding back tears.

Thank you, Hillary for being a constant beacon of strength, hope and determination for me and millions of other young women. Youve been a role model and an inspiration and the voice of reason in uncertain times. I could go on and on, but Id like to get right to the point.

Can I give you a hug? Of course, Clinton honored Cyrus request and gave the former Disney star a squeeze.

After listening to Cyrus and the writers thank you notes, Clinton asked if she could write one of her own.

So, she sat behind Fallons desk and read her words of appreciation.

Thank you, Miley, The Tonight Show writers and all of the women and young girls out there.

You are smart, strong and deserving of every opportunity, Clinton read.

Together, weve made our voices heard, weve done great things and weve come a long way. But as Miley would say, we cant stop and we wont stop. Cyrus and the audience started to cheer after Clinton referenced the singers song We Cant Stop..

Look how beautiful!

These are my puppies

They're not puppies but they're dogs

Hi little one!

Where were you? Did you make a trip?

We're up so early because we have to pick up our car since it broke

And then we'll leave

Look at thisss omg

Sunrises and sunsets are my weaknesses

We'll see each other again later

Come on, turn it off, I can't with one hand only

I look at the streets and see this

That guy is riding his buffalo

Have you seen our mayor yet?

His name is Chu Capuchino

Now the sky is brighter and it's not as beautiful anymore.

But still beautiful

The days start so early here, they're all already awake at 5

For our long ride home

We're at the gas station. We're driving to the town to get our car.

We're taking the trycicle

My cousin's husband

My brother-in-law-cousin

It smells like petrol

So disgusting

And look at this

There are goats at the gas station!

There's my cousin

Random cousin spotted

That's mama's cousin

Chu Capuchino

That's not Chu Capuchino

No! His hat says Chu Capuchino

She keeps climbing to the back to get our stuff

Tastes like any other banana

Just a little bit sour

Has a different..

But just like a normal banana

And a little bit sour

Ok bye

We're at a fruit stall

In the middle of nowhere

They have dragonfruit!

I've been wanting to eat this

And pineapple

And Filipino fruits that I don't know

Food Pyramid Vagueness - Ep. 12 - Duration: 1:57.

In today's episode, the eighth in a series on the book Switch by Chip and Dan Heath,

we will see an example of what not to do when it comes to scripting the critical moves.

I'm referring to the U.S. government food pyramid.

When you want to script the critical moves, you can't assume those moves are obvious.

You must explain the new behavior clearly.

To see why, consider a campaign that is the opposite of 1% milk campaign in terms of its

clarity.

I'm referring to the U.S. government's Food Pyramid, the perfect example of how not to

change people's behavior.

What dooms the Food Pyramid could doom your efforts to create change.

First is the pyramid shape, which typically signifies hierarchy, but there is no hierarchy

intended in the food pyramid.

Originally, oils were at the top and some people thought that meant that oils

were the most important food group.

They then abandoned the hierarchical-looking structure for vertical streaks, but what do

the streaks mean?

If you look carefully, you might find out that the yellow streak is "oils".

If you dig further, you may find a recommendation that adults consume 5 to 7 teaspoons of oil

each day.

How many teaspoons of oil did you consume today?

The language and concepts are so abstracted from the everyday experience of food that

the message both confuses and demoralizes.

Compare this with the rule of thumb to get

the oil in your car changed every 3 months

or 3,000 miles.

That clear and actionable.

And that's the kind of actionable advice you need to give if you want to script the critical

moves.
