No. Today I present a freakshow.

Imagine, you work in the circus. Your dad exploits you.

You have to clean shit all day. Others get all the attention.

Of course, this situation will completely escalate in our fantasy/horror film Killer Carnival.

My name is Benjamin van den Dool. I am the writer and director of this story.

With this movie I hope to graduate from the Academy of the Arts Utrecht.

Danny Heijnekamp will produce the movie, but with an empty piggy-bank even this hero will not get far.

Fortunately, we have already assembled a large part of our crew.

Among others, Rob Hillenbrink from Rob's Propshop, known for the movies Sint and Prooi.

He also created Mr. Goat's mask.

We are negotiating with experienced teams to realise the stunts and visual effects necessary to tell this story.

We hope to shoot this movie in April. To make this a reality we need your help.

Solène Hébert séduit le public dans Demain nous appartient. Dans la série, c'est Georges qui succombe à son charme.

L'actrice nous parle de cette intrigue amoureuse, de son rôle dans Demain nous appartient et de sa vie à Sète.

Dans Demain nous appartient, Solène Hébert joue le rôle de Victoire, une jeune femme brillante et belle, qui manque de confiance en elle.

Surtout dans les relations amoureuses. L'actrice se confie sur ce personnage qui a changé sa carrière d'actrice et nous en dit un peu plus sur le couple que Victoire va former avec Georges (Mayel Elhajaoui).

Cela a-t-il été une surprise pour vous de lire dans le scénario que Victoire tombait sous le charme de Georges ?

Solène Hébert : J'avais soumis cette idée au tout début de la coloc'. Je ne sais pas si c'était envisagé ou pas par les scénaristes, mais j'y ai pensé en regardant la série Murder,

où l'une des intrigues allait dans ce sens. Je pensais qu'il y avait quelque chose d'intéressant pour nous à raconter dans cette histoire.

Pensiez-vous qu'ils deviendraient un couple ?

Je ne m'attendais pas à ce qu'il y ait autant de sentiments. Je pensais qu'ils deviendraient peut-être des "sex friends", mais c'est une relation qui part sur des bases assez fortes.

Lui est amoureux depuis le début de Victoire. Elle, elle ne se l'avoue pas, mais elle est très jalouse et tout chez elle traduit son attachement pour lui, même si elle est la dernière à le reconnaître.

Victoire et Georges peuvent-ils devenir un couple phare de Demain nous appartient ?

Je pense oui. Ils sont très chou tous les deux. Le côté inattendu de leur histoire va être intéressant et fort en émotions aussi.

On peut dire que le personnage de Victoire n'est pas très stable sentimentalement…

Victoire a beaucoup de mal avec les mecs. On sent qu'il y a une faille de ce côté là. Je ne sais pas ce qui a pu se passer dans son passé,

mais elle a un problème de confiance en elle et un problème avec l'engagement de manière plus générale. Il y a chez elle une fragilité qu'elle essaie de combattre et de cacher.

Avez-vous des points commun avec elle ou est-ce un vrai rôle de composition ?

Au départ, elle était très différente de moi. C'est une femme hyper ouverte et enthousiaste alors que je suis plutôt réservée et timide.

Avec le temps, je me suis rapprochée d'elle et inversement. Victoire m'a permis de m'ouvrir aux autres.

Après, je pense être beaucoup plus saine dans ma vie privée, plus forte et plus au clair avec moi-même que Victoire.

Je suis en couple depuis huit ans, je pense avoir soigné déjà mes blessures et mes failles, ce qui n'est pas encore son cas.

Comment êtes-vous arrivée dans Demain nous appartient ?

J'avais tourné un pilote pour TF1 qui s'appelait Emma, où j'avais le rôle principal. La série n'a pas abouti,

mais la chaîne, qui avait beaucoup misé sur moi en me confiant le rôle principal d'une série en prime, a pensé à moi pour le casting de Demain nous appartient.

Au départ, j'ai passé des auditions pour le rôle de Gwen, mais je suis heureuse de jouer Victoire.

Elle a une grande force de caractère e,t en même temps, cette fragilité qui ressort parfois de manière inattendue. C'est ce que j'aime.

Avez-vous lié de vrais liens d'amitié avec vos partenaires de la série ?

Demain nous appartient, c'est un peu une colonie de vacances. On est tous loin de notre famille, dans une ville qui est à taille humaine, donc on est tous à 10 minutes à pied les uns des autres.

On se retrouve facilement le soir et des relations profondes se sont nouées. J'ai invité six acteurs de Demain nous appartient à mon mariage.

C'est comme si on se connaissait depuis dix ans ! Juliette Tresanini (Sandrine) est comme ma sœur dans la vraie vie, je suis très proche de Mayel Elhajaoui (Georges),

Rani Bheemuck (Lou), Maud Baecker (Anna), Samy Gharbi (Karim)… on a une bonne équipe. C'est rare sur un tournage je pense de trouver ça !

January Term Internship: Ashland Theatre - Duration: 2:23.

- My name is Morgan Thomas.

I'm a senior at Randolph-Macon

and I'm an arts management major.

This J-term I am an intern and a docent

here at the Ashland Theatre.

From a business standpoint I help them run their

donor database and keep track of donors and memberships.

And from the customer service side

I help manage the ticketing system

as well as the point of sales system,

doing transactions and entering memberships.

- It's a really cool opportunity to see

a theatre start from the ground up.

It's different coming in here to Ashland Theatre

versus your local

megaplex

where you come into an established place.

I think it's really cool that Morgan

gets to see the start of something

and not just come in in the middle.

- My supervisor here at the theatre is Maggie Latimer.

She is the Communications Manager

and she's really taking me under her wing,

showing me how the theatre runs and all the ins and outs.

- It's a lot of man power behind closed doors

that the patrons never see which is

exactly the way you want it.

You want it to look easy, breezy, but it's not.

There's a lot of work that goes on

behind closed doors, and that's what Morgan's

been the most fantastic student

in helping us get ourselves together.

- I am arts management major with an emphasis in music,

and I would actually like to go into venue management

so this is a great place to start

and I'm getting a lot of great experience

in learning what it takes to really manage a venue,

and Douglas and Maggie have been really great

and showing me the ropes.

- There's a lot of pressure put on

art students, theatre students, drama students,

students who want to go into this world of arts

rather than maybe the STEM fields, the sciences.

And I'd say be proud of what you've got going on.

Be proud that you want to contribute to something

because we define our culture

and we define who we are by the art we create.

And if you can be part of that

wonderful world where we're creating,

the world we live in and what we

entertain ourselves by and what we love to do,

if you can do that and you can be proud of that,

good for you and hold your head up high.
