Restoring a Hand-Drill - Duration: 7:35.

The drill was made by "Aurowa" in Remscheid (Germany).

It is about 80 years old.

One of the handles was missing. I replaced it with an old file handle.

Due to years of neglect there was a ton of rust/grease/dirt between the gears, which made them rather reluctant to turning smoothly.

Preparing the electrolysis tank.

Electrolysis can be dangerous! Do your own research.

All the nails are wired together.

3 tablespoons of sodium carbonate (Na2CO3) are dissolved in 10 liters of water.

The negative lead (cathode) goes to the drill-parts, the positive one ("anode") to the nails.

12V / 2A / DC

The bubbles on the anode are oxygen, on the cathode it is hydrogen.

3 hours later...

After the electrolysis the metal surface is extremly prone to rust and needs to be dried right away.

A layer of oil protects the surface.

Bearing surfaces and gears are coated with grease.

Hammer-Time!

How to Draw a Cat - White on Black - Narrated - Duration: 3:42.

Hello my friends and welcome to another Tuesday of tutorial!

I am Leonardo Pereznieto and today we will draw a cat.

Let´s begin by sketching the nose [laughter] ¨the nose¨ you can start

anywhere really.

Pick one spot and that will be your reference…

…and from there you build the rest.

In this case, I did the curve of the nose.

We are doing the kitty face, in profile

and as you see I´m drawing with white on black paper.

The list of materials is in the information below the video.

We drew the snout below the nose and down here some long hair.

It will be illuminated with a back light

so what we see is mainly the silhouette.

Here will be the part just below the eye. And we can do the eye with a curving

line which is almost a half circle.

The pencil I am using, by the way, is dry pastel, so it is like a chalk sort

of thing.

And it can be erased if need be.

Let´s draw a reflection on the upper part of the iris of the eye, and then some

of the fur of the ear, the head, and the neck.

On the neck it will be pretty long.

Since it is lit with a back light,

the hairs that go beyond the silhouette

are very illuminated.

Good!

Let´s do the lower part of the ear.

And then, I will make the eye just a little bit bigger, I think it should

be a little bit bigger, I just extend my half

circle a little bit.

I think this is a fairly simple drawing which took me, in real time,

about 25 minutes.

Which is much less than my usual tutorials that I usually take about

two or four hours, or sometimes more.

And this is a nice technique I think that you may use for other things

of course.

And I´m reinforcing a little bit more the whites.

I want the highlights to show very nicely against the black,

since we have this special lighting, coming from the back.

We did the whiskers as you saw...

now some highlight on the nose,

and on the head.

All the upper part of the head should be more white.

I think it is looking pretty good!

I´m not sure what do you think about it.

I want to show another highlight on the eye, right here,

and then I add some short hairs

and some more to the outline.

Very good!

I love drawing with this technique!

With the kneaded eraser I make a black line here, that they have

coming down from the eye,

and we give it the last details,

the last touches, and it´s ready!

Hello, my name is Jeremy

and since 10 years, this is my life

and I started drifting on a wet track at Mistral Karting

We made a small video just for fun

I was surprised that this video made so many views

and a brand contacted me to sponsor me for the french

Drift championship

Of course I couldn't say no

It was just crazy

So I buyed an s14

Sadly I had a lot of problems with this car

I had tons of mecanic failures during the season

but I had pleasure to drive

we made some great videos and had a lot of fun

It's the most important for me

so anyway it was a good season

...where's that going?...

This year for my second season

I was given the wheel of this awesome Skyline

It's a 4 doors

so it's an ER34

She has an forged RB26

a single turbo and a Wisefab

also Driftworks suspensions

This car drifted at Gatebill

at the SpeedHunters Workshop

It was the GARAGE D car, so she's loaded of history

She also have a name, Street Candy

We are very good friends!

This year my priority was to make a lot of videos

But I also won the Pro2 King of Europe round in France

But as I said, this year I wanted to make videos

so I made one for each race of course

some scripted videos too

But the biggest videos are coming soon

I made one with French Kiss Prod and Gils'on Tracks

It was 3 crazy days

with 40 persons and the best cameras ever

Even an helicopter!

It's gonna be online in few weeks

Talking about videos, this year I already reached

8 million views

It's a lot, more than I expected

and there is still videos to come out soon

so I think it's gonna be more than 10 millions this year

thanks to my sponsors who helped me reach my goals

and they reach theirs too so it's really great

For 2018, I want to go bigger!

I want to drift more, to have more fun, meet more fans

make more videos, more competitions

But most of all I can't wait to drive the Supra

that will come out the HP Engineering workshop!

How to Draw a Cat - White on Black - Narrated - Duration: 3:42.

Hello my friends and welcome to another Tuesday of tutorial!

I am Leonardo Pereznieto and today we will draw a cat.

Let´s begin by sketching the nose [laughter] ¨the nose¨ you can start

anywhere really.

Pick one spot and that will be your reference…

…and from there you build the rest.

In this case, I did the curve of the nose.

We are doing the kitty face, in profile

and as you see I´m drawing with white on black paper.

The list of materials is in the information below the video.

We drew the snout below the nose and down here some long hair.

It will be illuminated with a back light

so what we see is mainly the silhouette.

Here will be the part just below the eye. And we can do the eye with a curving

line which is almost a half circle.

The pencil I am using, by the way, is dry pastel, so it is like a chalk sort

of thing.

And it can be erased if need be.

Let´s draw a reflection on the upper part of the iris of the eye, and then some

of the fur of the ear, the head, and the neck.

On the neck it will be pretty long.

Since it is lit with a back light,

the hairs that go beyond the silhouette

are very illuminated.

Good!

Let´s do the lower part of the ear.

And then, I will make the eye just a little bit bigger, I think it should

be a little bit bigger, I just extend my half

circle a little bit.

I think this is a fairly simple drawing which took me, in real time,

about 25 minutes.

Which is much less than my usual tutorials that I usually take about

two or four hours, or sometimes more.

And this is a nice technique I think that you may use for other things

of course.

And I´m reinforcing a little bit more the whites.

I want the highlights to show very nicely against the black,

since we have this special lighting, coming from the back.

We did the whiskers as you saw...

now some highlight on the nose,

and on the head.

All the upper part of the head should be more white.

I think it is looking pretty good!

I´m not sure what do you think about it.

I want to show another highlight on the eye, right here,

and then I add some short hairs

and some more to the outline.

With the kneaded eraser I make a black line here, that they have

coming down from the eye,

and we give it the last details,

the last touches, and it´s ready!

Hello everybody! My name is Rachel and welcome to my channel Kalanadi. Today I'm

going to review Autonomous by Annalee Newitz. This is a pharmaceutical science

fiction novel that explores pharmaceutical drugs and patents, but

also what it means to be a free person - human or robot. Autonomous begins when

Jack discovers a stowaway on her submarine. Said stowaway is trying to

steal her pirated drugs, so she kills him... and then she is saddled with his very

poorly treated indentured slave, Threezed. Then Jack learns about a drug epidemic

caused by a work productivity drug that she had pirated and helped spread, and

it's now causing people to work themselves to death. Jack would like to

solve this problem - and do that, and then disappear again before the military

agent Eliasz and his indentured robot partner (Paladin) can catch up with her. This novel

is mostly told from Jack and Paladin's points of view. Jack is trying to contact

her old connections, from before she went to prison and became a pirate, in order

to make an antidote to this drug, Zacuity. And while she's at it, she'd like to take

down Zacuity's creator, the corporation Zaxy, because that fits with

her history of fighting against pharmaceutical giants that want to

patent the crap out of drugs so that sick people can't afford them.

Paladin's side of the story is about a naive military robot going on its first

mission, while dealing with its human partners sexual interest in it. Paladin

is not autonomous and it's slowly discovering the extent to which it has

control over itself and is questioning whether it feels a certain way because

that feeling is its own, or whether it feels that way because it was programmed

or ordered to. And that's it - this book is about autonomy, which means independence

or perhaps more appropriate for this book, freedom of will and action, freedom

to control one's own thoughts and desires. And the place in this book where

this juxtaposition of autonomous versus not autonomous became most clear to me

was surprisingly in this relationship between Eliasz and Paladin: the free human

and the indentured robot. This was actually a

very awkward and uncomfortable relationship, which also surprised me

because I had gone into this expecting that this part of the story might be a

bit of a cute human/robot love story, and it did not turn out to be that way

at all for me. Wherever you have sufficiently humanoid robots, or any

robots at all frankly, you will invariably encounter the humans that

want to have sex with them. And Newitz explores not only that but

also how the legal status of robots has impacted human rights - in that people

can sell their children into slavery, where they can then be body modified or

sold into the sex industry by the lowlifes in the world. And this part of

the world, about how the legal status of robots has led to a mirroring for human

legal status was the most interesting part of the book that I wish it had spent

more time on. I wanted to know the legal justification there, which basically says

we've created these categories where we say robots can be indentured or "not

autonomous", but they can also achieve autonomy equivalent to human autonomy.

Therefore we're gonna make slavery for even humans legal... that's problematic and

I want to know how that argument was presented and then put into action. Like,

didn't people complain about that?It wasn't just enough to have the

differences between Eliasz and Paladin at play in their relationship (which I'll

talk about a bit more in a second). I wanted to know more about the humans'

opinion of this. Jack talks about this system of indenturing people - which I just

call slavery because I think that's what it is - but also about how her experience

as an autonomous person who has always been able to work, who has never had to

indenture herself, or didn't have her parents sell her basically. Like, how does

she really view this system, as a person of privilege, versus how Threezed sees

it? He's the formerly indentured man that she kind of takes under her

wing. You get a bit of a peek at Threezed's its history and therefore the terrible

things that can happen to children and teenagers in a system that cannot

prevent their abuse. But then it just seems dropped a little bit by the end.

With Paladin and Eliasz, there are so many things going on between them. Unequal

power dynamics: indentured robot, autonomous human. Unequal life experience:

baby robot, older human. And then you have these issues of robot gender and

sexuality and self identity paired with a human, who's a bit clueless about all

this, who's trying to force the robot into perhaps inappropriate human

categories of gender and sexuality, so that HE feels more comfortable and can

avoid frankly homophobic self-hatred. Yeaaaah. Like I said, this made me think much

more beyond my initial assumption about what this relationship would be like and

really presents the problematic nature of it while not being horrible. And I

think it's one of the most interesting parts of the book to talk about,

aside from, well, the pharmaceutical drug ethics. I enjoyed a lot about this novel

actually. I really liked hearing Jack's history, which is essentially the history

of this anti-drug patent movement that she got involved with in college. I

thought it was really cool to see what science has achieved in this world, both

good and bad. And it's also really interesting that this focuses on the

pharmaceutical industry because the issues it's talking about with drug

patents and large drug corporations licensing and patenting everything is an

issue that our world actually faces today, and that I haven't read that much

about before. This story also moved very briskly. Characters are literally moving

fast - the hunters and the hunted - and so there's this real ticking clock in the

background giving the story urgency. And I think it might be that brisk pace and

the relative shortness of the novel that makes it feel like it's skimping on

something that I haven't quite pinpointed.

I think it might be that the story is so fast and it keeps throwing out all these

really interesting issues at the reader, but it never really pauses and slows

down to give time to reflect on the issues, to chew on them, during the story.

Nevertheless, I would love to read more by Annalee Newitz in the future. I think

this is a really strong novel and I would love to read more science fiction

like this. I love space opera and hard science fiction that takes place on

alien worlds, on spaceships, in deep space, and very alien environments, but

sometimes I think it's really nice to pull back and focus very deeply on an

issue in the near future on Earth that I can really relate to what's going on in

the world around me. Those are my thoughts on Autonomous by Annalee Newitz!

I would definitely recommend this for fans of Corey Doctorow's work. It's been a

little while since I've read any of his novels, but I feel like there's a

similarity between the style or the vibe of this book and the issues

discussed, with the technological issues and topics that Doctorow writes about and

then incorporates into his fiction. So if you have read this book or if you want

Straw Hats vs Big Mom, Sanji & Pudding, A Happy Couple - One Piece Manga Chapter 880 Review - Duration: 8:31.

Sorry for this review being so late, I was sick for a couple of days.

On the cover page, we did learn that Big Mom is not the only one, who likes to get married

a lot.

If she goes down it looks like Oda has a replacement for her.

Oda in this chapter chose the focus to be on Sanji, Pudding, and Chiffon rather than

what we were expecting to be on the fight between Luffy and Katakuri.

But still, this was a very good chapter I really did like it.

It's all right that Oda did not give us what we were expecting as long as what we get in

return is a very good chapter.

The panels and the dialogs in Cocoa Island were very good.

I thought the interactions between Sanji and Pudding were very funny and they will be even

funnier in the anime.

They really do look great like a couple.

And also we did learn a little bit more about the people of TottoLand, it's always good

to see new stuff.

I know that these things do not seem that important but in reality, they play a huge

role on whether we as a reader would consider this arc good or not.

Because since this is a series, things are repetitive, the same formulas are being used.

And these little things make one arc to be different from the other arcs.

Just a small example: usually in other arcs, the people of the country are oppressed by

their ruler.

But this doesn't seem to be the case here, it looks like they are happy with Big Mom,

they are living a good life.

Which is not so ordinary in the new world.

Sanji, Pudding and Chiffon did arrive in Cacao Island and they want to start making that

thing, I am not going to mention the name because I think I am going to get sick again.

I am going to treat the cake from now on in the same way the people of middle earth did

treat Sauron.

They did not call him by his name.

It was interesting to see that everyone there does know what did happen at the tea party.

There is a newspaper in TottoLand but how did the news reach to these people so fast,

and I thought that they might want to keep this whole thing a secret because it's not

looking good for the Big Mom Pirates.

But that's the difference between the Pirates and the World Government, Pirates don't care

what the people think.

Pudding in order not to have problems with the people there she told them that Chiffon

is her hostage and she is forcing her to do that thing.

And they will not make that thing alone, 31 chefs came to help them.

And the place where they will make it, is a factory, that has a clock on top for some

reason.

Did you notice what time the clock was showing?

If not let me give you a hint.

Sanji.

Is this Oda's way of telling us this is Sanji's time, the year of Sanji is starting now.

And then Pudding says to the people there: "do not peek inside the factory during the

preparations! and do not allow anyone that arrives here, regardless of who they may be,

to peek either.

About the first part, I do understand why she is saying that because she does not want

for them to know that Sanji is there.

But the second part is interesting, does Pudding think that someone will come here?

This could be a hint from Oda.

There is an important character that we have not seen for a while.

I am talking about Smoothie, so far she is the only commander who has not done anything.

Cracker did fight Luffy and Nami, and now Katakuri is fighting Luffy.

So, I do expect for Smoothie to show up, now that this arc is almost over.

And what if Smoothie attacks Sanji?

This would be very interesting for a couple of reasons:

First of all, we know that Sanji does not hit women, and in this arc, we did get that

flashback where Zeff tells Sanji why you should never hit a woman.

But if Sanji does not fight Smoothie with everything he has I don't know how he will

get out of this.

Because so far it's clear to see that the commanders are on a different level, just

look what is happening between Luffy and Katakuri.

But what if Pudding teams up with Sanji against Smoothie?

Sanji will be in charge of the defense and Pudding will be the one to attack.

Or it could be that Sanji will make a very small modification of the rule to never hit

a woman, but add just one word.

And that modification is to never hit a civilian woman.

Because if Sanji would say to Smoothie that I will not fight you because I don't hit women,

Smoothie would just laugh at him.

And say, you should be worried about yourself and not me.

She is a commander, after all, she has been in many battles.

And for now, she looks like she is the only option for Sanji to have a fight in this arc

since we are at the end.

Cracker is out, Katakuri is fighting Luffy, and that commander who fought the Mad Monk

is out as well.

What do you guys think?

Will Sanji fight Smoothie?

And then we are inside the factory and Pudding does change the memories of the chefs there

so Sanji will not have problems with them since he is the enemy.

He was hidden inside the flying carpet, so, Pudding is not that crazy, she is crazy but

also a very good wife.

She first tested herself before telling Sanji to hide there.

Since we are on the subject of a good wife what did you guys think when you saw Pudding

as a cook and giving orders.

She does look great, do you agree?

No, wonder that Sanji lost it.

And the interesting thing here is that she does think the same about Sanji.

Am I the only one who does want to see them as a couple?!

It seems like Pudding wants this as well.

She made the chefs think that they are married, I know that this would be the easiest way

to not have problems with them but still, it seems like they both are enjoying this,

a lot.

Pudding is on fire and Sanji is smiling.

It must feel nice for him that finally, a woman is not running away from him.

And next, you have those two panels of Pudding.

At the first one, she is the evil Pudding and is screaming at Sanji at the second one

she does look like the most innocent quiet gentle person in the world.

And that is why I like this character a lot, Oda has done a great job.

In the mirror world, Katakuri is still wiping the floor with Luffy, I think Brulee should

be grateful to Katakuri.

When Katakuri said to Brulee take the soldiers and go to their ship, I thought what is he

talking about all the mirrors are broken.

But this was not the case, I was surprised when I saw those two guys with that mirror

that connects to the sunny.

Why the Straw Hats have not broken all the mirrors this doesn't make sense.

But then Nami explains that the reason why they did not do it is that then Luffy will

not have a way how to get back on the sunny.

And this makes sense.

But still, Luffy said to them again to break all the mirrors and he will find another way

to join with them.

My guess on how Luffy will join them, is together with Pedro.

But first, he needs to deal with Katakuri.

But so far Luffy has not landed even a single blow to Katakuri.

But even so, if you pay attention to Luffy's demeanor he doesn't look angry or hopeless.

He is not in a dark place where he is thinking there is no way to win this.

Like it was against Kizaru and Kuma.

Luffy seems like he is waiting for something, I think he is studying Katakuri to find a

weakness in him.

Because everyone has a weakness.

And the way Katakuri is taking this fight, it could be his downfall, he is not getting

serious.

He could have ended Luffy so far.
